While I have been through my fair share of toxic breakups, never ending breakups and breakups and makeups - I feel like I have finally put these three cardinal rules for how to get over a breakup to the test and can confirm sticking to them makes breaking up a little less painful. There's no sugarcoating it, heartbreak hurts, but how you choose to handle it determines 99% of the outcome.
