Introduction and Overview

00:00:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
Hello and welcome to the Daily Women Football Podcast Beyond the Pitch brought to you by the Global Sport Podcast Network. And today, although you have the two Italians, we are doing this in English.
00:00:22
Global Sports Podcast Network
No,
00:00:23
Nat
Unbelievable! First time in English after such a long time together.
00:00:28
Global Sports Podcast Network
it's not the first time, but it has been a long time that you and I are not podcasting in English.
00:00:31
Nat
ah Yeah, yeah, a long time since we got together and speaking English, although in the Italian accent way.
00:00:33
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:00:40
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, but, but, ah yeah, so you have us back. And today we are going to talk about the Subway League Cup. So we are recording on a Saturday just after the game.
00:00:54
Global Sports Podcast Network
and So we're going to talk about what happened the evening before. So the two WSL games, and the League Cup, the

WSL and Subway League Cup Analysis

00:01:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
Subway League Cup. Then we are going to talk about the pitches.
00:01:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
but
00:01:06
Nat
The Peach is drama!
00:01:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
The pitch is drama. That was a big drama. And then we are going to talk about a news that came out this week that I think it's so good. And I thank you, Nat, for sharing it.
00:01:19
Global Sports Podcast Network
which is the fact that the NWSL will come to the UK thanks to TNT Sports. But more to about it in the third part. So we'll start with, while i would say well, I would would want to say start with the Subway Cup, but that's fine.
00:01:34
Global Sports Podcast Network
Let's go chronologically. So let's on Friday night, so for us it was last night, um we had two WSL games.
00:01:38
Nat
yeah
00:01:43
Global Sports Podcast Network
so We had Everton-Arsenal and Liverpool-Manchester.
00:01:48
Nat
yeah
00:01:49
Global Sports Podcast Network
Now, ah for anyone who's listening and didn't know, careful, we're telling you the score, so spoiler alert. So Everton lost at home with Arsenal 3-1.
00:02:00
Global Sports Podcast Network
And Liverpool was playing at Anfield and they won with Manchester United 3-1.
00:02:02
Nat
but
00:02:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
And they ended Manchester United winning streak that went on for the beginning of 2025. This is the first time they are losing.
00:02:18
Nat
It's the second quite smashing victory win Liverpool against somebody on the top, I would say, of ah the table.

Arsenal's Comeback Performance

00:02:31
Nat
But I think it's interesting that both of those two games so were played in Liverpool or surrounding, which is quite unique ah because you don't get that with the men's game. Either Everton plays home or Liverpool plays home because otherwise it's a little bit of a mess.
00:02:47
Nat
um So I think that that was... And also, if you notice the score, there are mirror score. It's just very unique and bizarre.
00:02:57
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:02:58
Nat
I found that those are the things that I noticed that I wanted just to highlight. But we can discuss about the games. Have you watched the game, Kate?
00:03:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
So I have not watched yesterday's game. I watched today's game.
00:03:11
Nat
Okay.
00:03:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
So when we talk about it, I'll i'll say that. I watched the highlights of both games.
00:03:17
Nat
Okay, fair enough. Mm-hmm.
00:03:19
Global Sports Podcast Network
ah Yeah, I'm still recovering. So last night I was like way too tired. know I was following for a certain moment on one of the various chats on WhatsApp, all of the groups and someone was like, wow, that Everton goal was really good. And I have to say it was actually a really good goal from Payne.
00:03:38
Global Sports Podcast Network
So, yeah, that was really nice. and But, yeah, I think Arsenal proved that they can be quite dominant when they want to And I think it was a little bit of a...

Personal Experience and Betting Culture

00:03:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think it was a bit of a statement. We spoke about it in our Italian episode because, you know, they won't they lost to Liverpool and they got kicked out of the cup.
00:03:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
And I said, you know, this is going to go two ways. They're either going to come back and be very upset about it all and go like, yeah, and roar.
00:04:07
Nat
Mm-hmm.
00:04:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
Or maybe in the next couple of games they're going to be a bit softer. Yeah, they came back with a role. So, yeah, well done to them.
00:04:16
Nat
Yeah, same as you, I watched the highlights because I was a coaching last night. I'm not going to go into my coaching last night because let's just talk about the highlights. um
00:04:26
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yes.
00:04:27
Nat
Better this way. um But I think, as you said, I was you are, I find you cut it and then this is a You can see the future quite easily because you predicted that, as you said, about the coming back of Arsenal. You were very convinced that I'm sure this is a setback, but they will come back a roaring a little bit more.
00:04:52
Nat
And, yeah, I would like to talk about how can you see the future of football? And I know you don't bet on football because you can't, but it's interesting what you should...
00:05:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
I know. I do know what, on Thursday night I went to, because I have a broken arm, so I'm not allowed to to to work at the stadium.
00:05:09
Nat
Take care.
00:05:16
Global Sports Podcast Network
So normally, ah for anyone who's listening, normally I work at the Tottenham Stadium during match match day. So but with a broken arm, I'm not allowed to because of health and safety, insurance,

Chelsea's Subway League Cup Victory

00:05:27
Global Sports Podcast Network
etc. Even if I could do something,
00:05:30
Global Sports Podcast Network
But with an injured limb, I'm not allowed to go in as a worker. So I went in as a guest. So a friend of mine wasn't able to make the game. And he was just like, hey, do you want to go and watch the game? And I was like, you know what? I want to experience it from a very different side.
00:05:45
Global Sports Podcast Network
And it was really interesting that you say that because as ah as I was walking up with some of the supporters, I had a chat with these two couple of gentlemen, so a bit older than me. And one of them was just like, well, do you know what? I know Spurs too well. This is going to end the 3-1. And I was like, what?
00:06:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
And he's like, yeah, yeah, yeah. I actually bet quite a lot on it because it's like, I just, you know, analyze this and then analyze that. And I was just like...
00:06:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
ah He's like, do you want to put something on it?
00:06:13
Nat
yeah
00:06:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
And I'm like, I'm not all allowed to bet. It's like, no, I work in football, you know, so we're not allowed to.
00:06:19
Nat
yeah yeah you're not allowed to that's why I said
00:06:20
Global Sports Podcast Network
And fairly so. and fairly so and I'm like, but and and the score ended up like that. So it was just a coincidence. No, i just thought I just thought about how Arsenal it was. To be honest, i if you remember when we podcasted, I also c said to you,
00:06:35
Global Sports Podcast Network
Liverpool is going to go into that game with United like really, really, um you know, strong mentally because obviously, you know, there was a big win for them. The fact that they are going through, you know, another stage of the cup.
00:06:50
Global Sports Podcast Network
after you know the whole thing of like the managers left and this happened and that happened. And I said to you, theyre going I wasn't expecting a 3-1. I'm not going to lie. I was very surprised by that.
00:07:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
I was expecting them not to lose to United, but I think they played like a really good game defensively. They were really good, at least from what I saw in the highlights and also what I read from a match report.
00:07:12
Nat
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:07:13
Global Sports Podcast Network
Also from our lovely Catherine. who writes often about this, about the games. And yeah, so I think with Arsenal was more like, i don't know, yeah it was more like,
00:07:30
Global Sports Podcast Network
They've done so well, you know, since Renee took charge. And I think the whole team probably thought, wow, we let our fans down. So we have to pick ourselves up again.
00:07:41
Global Sports Podcast Network
i think it was more that more than me being like a genius of predicting things in football, because really I'm not. But anyway, um I would want.
00:07:49
Nat
ah leave
00:07:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
Go on.
00:07:51
Nat
But Liverpool, sorry to jump, but Liverpool, since ah they sack Bird, sackle birds there have been doing very well. So...
00:08:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, I mean, disclaimer in there, we don't know if he was sucked or if he left. But anyway, since they don't have any more that manager, ah

Team Dynamics and Criticism

00:08:09
Nat
Mm-hmm.
00:08:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
they they seem to be doing much better.
00:08:11
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, that's true. That's true. I mean, ah ah talking about a team with a different coach ah or that they got rid of the old coach, let's let's put it in this way, or the old coach decided to go Manchester City did the same.
00:08:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
Today, it was, you know, they played quite well. considering everything. and in Today was the final of the Subway Cup, which used to be the Continental Cup.
00:08:36
Global Sports Podcast Network
And now obviously there is a new sponsor, so it's got a new name, which was playing the derby ah between Chelsea and Manchester City. Spoiler a alert, we're going to say who won. Chelsea won.
00:08:48
Global Sports Podcast Network
A very bizarre game ah for many reasons.
00:08:51
Nat
I agree.
00:08:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
One of the reasons was the pitch, and we are going to talk about it in the second part. But the second thing that was a bit weird as well was the um you know well this score two one but the fact that Chelsea won because of an own goal.
00:09:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
And I think it was so unfortunate.
00:09:09
Nat
yeah the own goal was so unfortunate. was so unfortunate.
00:09:13
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yes, exactly. like Exactly.
00:09:14
Nat
And i think, and the the I don't know if you saw until the end of the game on TV, but you were able to see the player that was a heartbroken, poor thing, like completely, completely.
00:09:15
Global Sports Podcast Network
like
00:09:25
Global Sports Podcast Network
Of course.
00:09:27
Nat
yeah I wanted to go there and hug her, poor thing, because she looked very heartbroken. But I think, as they said TV, that
00:09:33
Global Sports Podcast Network
I mean,
00:09:35
Nat
ah in the inie on tv that um i I hope and I think that the Manchester City player, Natasha,
00:09:47
Nat
um would be ah around her instead of blaming her as a team, they were as a collective. ah Because it it was it was just so unfortunate for her to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
00:09:58
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, I don't know about that. don't know about that. I tell you one? So first of all, let's just for context ah to everybody who is listening. So Chelsea121. The first goal was scored after just ah ah a few minutes, actually on the eighth minute by Ramirez, who played a really good game.
00:10:14
Nat
Yeah.
00:10:17
Global Sports Podcast Network
And she actually had two really good chances afterwards. And she missed them both. But anyway, whatever. And then, um yeah, so Fujino went 1-1 on the second half with really great goal.
00:10:30
Nat
yeah
00:10:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
Very surprised by Chelsea because actually Fujino often scores goals like this.
00:10:31
Nat
beautiful
00:10:35
Global Sports Podcast Network
and It was very predictable. You could see from the game. that you know they passed the ball to her. She was in her perfect position where she likes to score. And I was a bit surprised because Chelsea's defence was quite great throughout the game.
00:10:49
Global Sports Podcast Network
But I don't know, just in that moment, it was it just really shows you how when you are a champion like she is and a fantastic player, you really seize the moment and you're like, OK, Chelsea, they're distracted for a second and I'm just going to go in. And it was, it really, that's how it was.
00:11:04
Global Sports Podcast Network
And then just about 10, 13 minutes after, um yeah, there was a really good counter attack from Chelsea and Hasegawa went in to defend and unfortunately, you know,
00:11:18
Global Sports Podcast Network
Obviously, the the aim was to kick the ball out and it just kind of like bounced in a way that went straight into

Pitch Conditions and Facilities Discussion

00:11:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
their own goal. But what was very disappointing for me, very, and I went back and I watched it again, was the fact that in that moment, and I was talking to Ro as well, who I was watching the game with.
00:11:38
Global Sports Podcast Network
None of the players, none of the City players went to her. They all abandoned her. She walked back on her own. And it was so disappointing because I wrote, and disclaimer, Ro and I, none of us support Chelsea. We are both Tottenham supporters.
00:11:53
Global Sports Podcast Network
But we straight I straight away said, and Ro was like, you're absolutely right. If that would have been Chelsea, 100% Millie Bright would have gone there and would have said, girl, chin up.
00:12:04
Global Sports Podcast Network
Let's go. We have Chelsea. We're getting one goal back. Back we go. Come on, let's go team. You know, blah, blah, blah. Come on, let's go, let's go, let's go. And i I didn't like that.
00:12:15
Global Sports Podcast Network
I really did not like that from City. I did not like it. A lot of work to be done for team spirit and team support. I didn't like it. So I feel very sorry.
00:12:24
Nat
Do you think, Dad?
00:12:25
Global Sports Podcast Network
And this is one of the reasons because, you know, when they went to get the medal, also she looked very, very, very, very very sad. And probably she felt very lonely too. I didn't see any supporting in that team.
00:12:37
Global Sports Podcast Network
But anyway, that's my opinion. Yeah.
00:12:40
Nat
But do you think this is due to what has been happening lately? oh do you think it's just the status of the where this Manchester City as a team are right now and has been going on for the whole season? What do you think it is?
00:12:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
like To be honest, I have no idea. I can just tell you that it was very disappointed. Very disappointed. As a player, you know, as someone who played before, it happened, you know. Even as a goalkeeper, you know, when one of my defenders back in the days when I was playing, ah you know, would do that type of mistake, let's say, genuine mistake, and would cause that, I would straight away go there and say, hey, do you know what?
00:13:15
Nat
oh
00:13:21
Global Sports Podcast Network
It happened. Don't worry. Of course, we are grassroots players. slightly different different pressure, but I've seen
00:13:26
Nat
ah but team spirit is team spirit you know it doesn't yeah maybe it's not yeah
00:13:29
Global Sports Podcast Network
I've seen Millie Bright doing it before. I've seen all the captain do it. I would have expected at least the captain to go straight to her and say, babe, maybe not babe, but you know what I mean. You straight away go like, don't worry about it.
00:13:44
Global Sports Podcast Network
Let's go up, get the team a little bit together straight away and say, come on, you know, we still have nearly 20 minutes.
00:13:45
Nat
yeah
00:13:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
Let's get back into the game. Let's do it. That's the type of spirit I would have seen. it What is the reason? I don't know. Is it because of how CT is right now? I have no idea.
00:14:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
i just, for me, it was just very disappointing.
00:14:02
Nat
Okay.
00:14:03
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah.
00:14:05
Nat
fair Fair point. I think, I don't know if the team is a little bit disjuncted as it has been and the fact that some player left the injuries. That's why it was more um kind of trying to make a sense, you know, but maybe there is no sense or maybe we are not due to have a sense now.
00:14:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
But anyway, well done to Chelsea, the champions. They haven't won for a few years, so they really wanted to. And just a reminder, this is the first Bon Pastor
00:14:37
Nat
in the box, stick in the box, stick in the box, stick in the
00:14:37
Global Sports Podcast Network
trophy. Yeah, the first Ticket in the Box. This is her first trophy. i mean, what a legacy she took over after MIAs. And yeah, cheer to the team.
00:15:26
Global Sports Podcast Network
So now we're going to go and talk about the Peaches drama. So, I mean, well I got to Rose House. and The game literally just started.
00:15:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
And the first thing, the first thing I said to her is, no, actually, the very first thing is, I don't like when City plays with that ah and kit.
00:15:49
Nat
I
00:15:50
Global Sports Podcast Network
I don't like that kit. But personal, that's just personal. I really don't like them.
00:15:54
Nat
and know you're a fashionista, so worth mentioning this.
00:15:56
Global Sports Podcast Network
No, I just, but' I mean, i don't get why the, I don't get the colour. It's like, I would expect, I know, West Ham to play like that. Aston Villa, I don't get the colour. But anyway, that's not my decision.
00:16:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
And the second thing is straight away is like, oh my God, who decided to let the girls play a final, a cup final, a league cup final on that pitch?
00:16:17
Nat
Yeah. Yeah.
00:16:22
Global Sports Podcast Network
It was terrible.
00:16:26
Nat
yeah yeah
00:16:29
Global Sports Podcast Network
It was terrible.
00:16:29
Nat
I think it was it was absolutely obscene.
00:16:29
Global Sports Podcast Network
and
00:16:33
Nat
Also from, ah I don't know if you were able to see, probably yes, because you are mentioning that, but there were some shots from the TV where they were missing some, it looked like there were some of the um grass was missing.
00:16:47
Nat
um And you remind me some of these grassroots pitches that sometimes you see And was honestly, i was surprised to see something like that. And bear in mind, it hasn't been rained too much lately.
00:17:03
Nat
So the fact that that pitch is in that condition and that is for a final, it's quite... concerning considering that the game now so professional is there is WPLL taking care of it.
00:17:19
Nat
So very disappointingly surprising. And you were able to see how much was worn off because they play a championship there, Derby's in the championship. so it's really clear that it was overused.
00:17:35
Nat
I don't know. i I don't know. Probably I would have chosen a different one, but I don't know if with all the games and everything that is going on, it was possible. I don't know the rationale of the choice, so I cannot really comment on that. But definitely the and a final of that calibre,
00:17:54
Nat
um could have done better. I think last year was in Wembley, wasn't it? I think it was in Wembley last year. Because I think I attended.
00:18:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
ah point no The Conti Cup, no, that's the FA. The Conti Cup last year, I think, was in Wolverhampton.
00:18:05
Nat
oh
00:18:08
Nat
And it was better there anyways.
00:18:10
Global Sports Podcast Network
it was It wasn't as bad as this, because I i remember we would have we would have you know talked about it, etc. It wasn't as bad as this. Just a reminder, and we're not here to go like, oh my God, we want to complain about everything, we want to compare about everything.
00:18:26
Global Sports Podcast Network
But the same cup on the men's game is played at Wembley tomorrow. Just to let you know. You know, just saying.
00:18:32
Nat
you
00:18:34
Global Sports Podcast Network
And I...
00:18:34
Nat
Just to put...
00:18:35
Global Sports Podcast Network
I mean, I totally, i think it's nice that it's not always played at Wembley.
00:18:36
Nat
Yeah.
00:18:41
Global Sports Podcast Network
Obviously, we live in London. We're very spoiled about it. And we love the fact that, you know, we can go and watch a lot of games.
00:18:45
Nat
yeah
00:18:48
Global Sports Podcast Network
A lot of the big games are played at Wembley. So it's like, you know, half and a 45 minutes journey on the tube from my place. A little bit less from you, maybe you're similar because you are West.
00:19:00
Global Sports Podcast Network
But, you know, we're very spoiled. But I also understand that it's like it's fair, you know, if it's played somewhere in the Midlands, it's fair because then it's in the middle of the country. People have to travel up or have to travel down, etc.
00:19:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
I get that. But why that? Why that location? That was terrible. Like there must have been someone that maybe if he was picked like months ago, fine But there must have been someone that in the past couple of weeks would have looked at it and go like, yeah, I don't think this is suitable for a final.
00:19:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
Like it couldn't have become like that overnight. You can see it. You can see it. It was very disappointing.
00:19:36
Nat
And also, if you want to keep it in the Midlands, there are places, like I'm thinking about Leicester Stadium, just to mention one. um I don't know if it was available or not, but that's the Leicester women playing the stadium.
00:19:50
Nat
So I think that is a honourable place to play.
00:19:53
Global Sports Podcast Network
Thank
00:19:54
Nat
oh even at any, it doesn't have to be London, but there are several teams in championship that are not necessarily in London that could have probably had better facilities. I don't know.
00:20:06
Nat
I don't want to say anything, but yeah, it's it's kind of a recurrent problem. ah I say recurrent because it happened also with the England back in the days in 2023 when they played South Korea.
00:20:19
Nat
when there was ah they and they played south korea in MK Dawn Stadium and Serena commented, not on the stadium per se, oh no, facilities were amazing, blah, blah, blah, but just the pitch wasn't suitable for what they were looking for.
00:20:37
Nat
And i know that was ah that was quite um an impressive statement that she did, but other things that had been a happening ah for even, i think, when Arsenal um had the Champions League game, that was there was ah a little bit of an issue for the stadium that we were using because it was not suitable.
00:21:01
Nat
So I think there are things to to review. And I think ah one of the ah reviews that has been done um by ah the ah that was commissioned by the government, that's where it was talking about facility. Okay, they were talking about facility, probably like Karen Carney was in charge. They were talking about facility, availability of facility and quality of facility for the grassroots. But it seems that it's also a high level of the problem.
00:21:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, no, for sure. i mean, we've seen it before. i don't think we will see ah ah men's team happening to a men's team. not Not to the top level, like, you know, these are the two top level teams.

Well... Chelsea for sure. And Manchester is one of the top four. So, I mean, this would be just like seeing the male counterparts.
00:21:51
Nat
you
00:21:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
watching Manchester City playing Chelsea in a stadium like that, I think Pep Guardiola would have said like, mate, my team is not playing here. My team is not playing here because this is prone to injuries.
00:22:07
Global Sports Podcast Network
This is going to be really bad.
00:22:08
Nat
Exactly.
00:22:09
Global Sports Podcast Network
Tomorrow, they are going, some of them will come up with some sort of problems because it was really terrible. it was really, really bad. So anyway, dear Subway and League, please do better next season. and I know you are trying, I know you're doing a lot and we appreciate you.

But watching it today was really heartbreaking. And, you know, we we know we are all in this together and we want to, you know, get everything better. But please, it was really, um yeah, it felt very disrespectful towards the girl and towards the two really, really, really great teams.

And now the last a few minutes, we only have about five minutes left, but we wanted to talk about something that is quite, I don't want to say revolutionary, but it is definitely advancing even more ah the consumption, let's say, of women's sports and not just in ah in a local way, but also in a global way.
00:23:34
Global Sports Podcast Network
So as this was something that you told me about, ah do you want to take on?
00:23:39
Nat
It's not taking over. I just shared the post on Instagram. You know, me and you had a lot of the post sharing in the back line.
00:23:45
Global Sports Podcast Network
Sure.
00:23:47
Nat
So, um yes. So, basically, the NWSL signs TV deals and it comes to the UK.
00:23:58
Nat
It would be broadcast on the TV deals with the UKs with TNT Sports. ah But it's a little bit bigger than that because they sign deals with Australia and Canada as well.
00:24:13
Nat
So really, as you said, pump up the... um the fandom of women football and soccer. TNT Sports hat will have a two, will offer a two games on her per week in the UK and will also offer highlight packages.
00:24:31
Nat
So me and you Cate will probably be savvy of the highlights as well. And ESPN right now will ah have exclusive rights for Mexico, Central America, and South America, and all the Caribbean, including, for some reason, the Netherlands and Africa. But yeah, that's it.
00:24:54
Nat
And Disney Plus will stream two games per week. in ah in the Nordic country. So also Australia, as we said, and Canada, but for me, what interested the most and I think about our listener is TNT, and it's going to come from this season, this season. So super exciting time, and our podcast can become a little bit bigger then because someone one can talk a lot more about the NWSL.

NWSL's Global Expansion

00:25:23
Global Sports Podcast Network
Okay, Catherine, I think this is a hint for you anyway, because you you love your overseas or or anyway, ah you know, not English leagues. ah So, yeah, that's probably something for you.
00:25:35
Global Sports Podcast Network
But we should totally have an American on the podcast that can talk about their season.
00:25:40
Nat
Looking for Looking for water.
00:25:42
Global Sports Podcast Network
um And also, let's just remember that and when when we mean, when we say this season coming is because the American season is starting soon, if I'm not wrong, right?
00:25:53
Nat
Yeah, I think they have a the old version, like the old version, what used to be before the WSL.
00:25:54
Global Sports Podcast Network
and
00:26:00
Nat
So they have the summer, and they play in the summer and not and stop in the winter.
00:26:02
Global Sports Podcast Network
Yeah, exactly.
00:26:05
Global Sports Podcast Network
Exactly.
00:26:05
Nat
So that's what.
00:26:06
Global Sports Podcast Network
So, yeah, exactly. So it's very important to which is also quite good because our ones are going to finish very soon. So I think we have about six games left, five or six, depends it depends on the team, but let's say five.
00:26:17
Nat
Yeah.
00:26:20
Global Sports Podcast Network
um And yeah. And then that's it. OK, we're waiting for the Euros, obviously, and there's going to be some of the Champions League and a couple of the Cups. But it would be nice to have all the leagues to watch. And the and NWSL is definitely an interesting one to watch and really great football.
00:26:37
Global Sports Podcast Network
So we will be able to chat about that as well.
00:26:41
Nat
And ah just to let you know, apparently, just quickly Googling it, it seems that the regular season started yesterday with Orlando Pride hosting Chicago Stars.
00:26:52
Global Sports Podcast Network
Okay, fantastic.
00:26:53
Nat
And the Houston Dash ah played against the Washington Spirits.
00:26:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
and Fantastic. say Well, here it is.
00:26:59
Nat
So we will see the highlights.
00:27:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
So we're looking.
00:27:02
Nat
We will see the highlights with TNT Sports.
00:27:03
Global Sports Podcast Network
We will. For sure. And we are looking forward to welcome the NWSL. I mean, is there anyone that knows how to do marketing and pushing their products better than the Americans? No, I don't think so.
00:27:16
Global Sports Podcast Network
um I really don't. I mean, I think they are definitely the best at that. They want to put something somewhere, on they will. They will invest money and they will put it in there and it will happen.
00:27:27
Global Sports Podcast Network
But anyway, i think that's all we have about time for today. So thank you for joining us. And we look forward to welcoming you to the next pi episode of Beyond the Page Daily Women podcast by Global Sport Podcast Network.
