N D: from We want to thank Andy Dalton for that, too. He's a like he's ah he's a lifelong bear anyway. He knew what he was doing. But that interception, man, I was just like. I mean, X was blowing up like NFL's rigged NFL. I mean,

N D: Why'd they keep him in the tent so long? and I mean... He kind of laid there like a little. ah like I mean, he did get hit. I mean, it was it was quite the hit.

N D: I don't think it was a cheap hit. It was, I mean, we can blame Mahomes and those guys for taking that extra one or two yards at the first down marker.

N D: For him getting hit. I mean. You're going to turn into a runner. I don't know. I mean, if he had to let up and he would have got the first down. then what would we be saying? they'd go score a touchdown and we lose.

angrymike: Yeah, there's something going on with that Eagles line, too. It's like they lost pieces. over the last couple years you know like they had kelsey and beckton and I think Landon Nickerson's hurt. It's like. They're just not the same as what they used to be there.

angrymike: and goddard being out i mean i don't want to give up a ton of excuses but i think aj brown was a big part of that offense too. And Sean Mannion. I mean, he's under that MLF. coaching tree and they just don't look very good at all.

angrymike: Um, But the Bears, I mean, they catapulted last year, beating the Eagles in Philly. You remember that? and then

N D: Yep.

angrymike: Pretty handily last... last Monday night. So this could be what. You know. Puts the Bears through it. Until Caleb gets back.

KTS with Decker, Dix and Angry Mike: Old Case Keenum, 38 -year -old Case Keenum bringing them out. Man, that first drive, they looked impressive. I was like, holy cow, they're going to beat the Eagles.

N D: Yeah. It was.

angrymike: Yeah.

N D: Yeah, and it was that game plan that we talked about on the podcast when Mike brought it up, too.

N D: It's like, he's going to come out passing, and then I agreed with him. Like, yeah, I mean. Philadelphia was top five and stopping the run. Um, Unfortunately, and we said it before we went on the air, I think.

N D: Case Keenum got his hand raised in the air. He had his. kids with him he had his his Probably his last really good game. Cause I. Think. Bajan is going to be the quarterback this weekend. Mike, you mentioned it as well.

N D: um He's the number two guy, and and Ben Johnson said that yesterday. He's QB2. He manages that offense. So I don't see why Bajan. wouldn't start this weekend.

angrymike: So, so people on X like to, like to say, I should, I should shut up and talk about my own team.

angrymike: So, so I've been, I've been, I've been starting to post, you know, like an Eagle thrusting in a, in a G string and it says America.

angrymike: um but sometimes i think it's important especially this podcast why i like it so much

angrymike: we can actually be open about the other teams and talk about what they do well. And and you're getting like a third. party perspective.

angrymike: Of. what we think your team's going to do. And I think that's that's great. But. If you look at like the game. theory and the strategy with Case Keenum, it was the complete opposite of what they've done.

angrymike: Under Ben Johnson.

N D: Yep.

angrymike: So. They came out with the element of surprise. They knew Case Kingdom could throw the ball really well. And they leaned into that. well Everybody thought they'd lean on the run because obviously Caleb is out.

angrymike: That's why I thought Ben Johnson's such a good coach. He's going to do the opposite of what you think he's going to do.

N D: Yeah.

angrymike: So.

angrymike: I think he emptied the clip with Case Keenum. Now there's tape out there knowing what he likes to do and what he doesn't like to do. And there hasn't been recent tape. you know in actual games in a while.

angrymike: They're gonna bring Beijing in and he's probably gonna do the same damn thing until Caleb gets back probably against the Packers He's gonna have a totally different scheme for Beijing Bajan's going to look great. Bear fans are going to go, oh, my God, Bajent, we should get a first -round pick instead of a second -round pick for him.

angrymike: Caleb's going to come back, and it will give Packer fans rage bait, just like last year, of, hey, maybe Bajan Spader and Caleb. you know, like you guys did with Willis and and Love.

angrymike: At the end of the day, Caleb's still the best quarterback at all of them, but. Having these two capable quarterbacks gives Ben jan Johnson a chance to. Get really creative and and play into the strengths of these guys without having anything really scouted.

N D: And obviously it takes away the. The bootlegs. He's not going to bootleg Case Keenum. I mean, you saw twice he rolled out.

N D: And he had 20 yards in front of him and threw it up the field for a 30 -yard completion.

N D: So it's like I. If I'm Caleb Williams, why am I not looking for Burden and Williams or... are they Do they have the better D -backs on them and they can't get free from their guys? I have no idea because I don't i can't i don't sit down and Dan Orlowski everything.

angrymike: Yeah. I think, I mean, the Bears. I think they have a different game plan for Keenum. And I think what's really good about a backup quarterback. Especially when you have two capable ones like the Bears do.

angrymike: You want them to have opposite strengths of your starter because if they go out You know, kind of like when Malik Willis came in that first game against the Bears last year. The Bears had no answer for Malik Willis.

angrymike: Because they were prepared for a pocket passer. And Malik Willis did the opposite. You know, he could run.

N D: Yep.

angrymike: And he was a read and run guy. And he exposed. The Bears twice, to be honest with you. or Yeah, the both times he played him. But it's like... You want some sort of contrast. Because you have an element of surprise because you know you're not going to have your your main guy. And I think that's exactly what Ben Johnson did. he's Ben Johnson's just...

angrymike: Damn good coach.

N D: And we're kind of sitting on Ben Johnson has not said who's starting this week, which. element of surprise of it's going to be Bajan, but he hasn't.

angrymike: Oh, it's going to be Beijing.

angrymike: I think they'll look at their opponent and where they can expose their weaknesses and which quarterback lines up better. to expose it. Right. Against the Eagles, you wanted a pocket passer in there because you you're going to struggle running with them.

angrymike: you know, um, I thought the bears looked great and great on both sides, but it's all about how you want to attack.

angrymike: And they knew if they were going to come in with a run heavy scheme against the Eagles, they wanted a guy that could expose the fact that the bears were probably going to, or the.

angrymike: Eagles were probably going to bring a safety down. And they were able to expose it with the tight ends. and They played outstanding. i mean the Hats off, yeah.

N D: Yep. I think it's going to be. close I think it's going to be Bears are favored by three and a half, but. I think they should cover.

N D: That would be my guess. But I i don't know.

N D: The Jets defense is. I didn't realize how good they were until you look at the stats and you look at some games and you're like, well, they're... They're pretty good against the run. And that's what are, I mean, if we come out and play like we did this, this last week, then yeah. And if our defense plays like it did.

N D: You know, what defense will show up this week for the Bears?

N D: But I'm going to take the Bears, obviously. but

angrymike: F minus right now, 16%. Pass blocked win rate last year. Chargers were last with 54%. That's how bad this is. So being able to get A Lake and Tomlinson who could play left guard. that is probably washed, but at least knows what he's doing.

angrymike: He knows good technique. His body may not be as good as it used to be. But he's better than... Donovan Jennings. Jaeger Burton had... I think I saw Jaeger Burton had 10 pressures last last week against Atlanta.
