Meet the Hosts: Unconventional Success Methods

00:00:57
Speaker
to the Solarpreneur Podcast.
00:01:01
Speaker
What's up, Solarpreneurs?
00:01:03
Speaker
It is James Widerski, and I got my man here, Joseph Wend.
00:01:07
Speaker
Hey, what's up guys?
00:01:08
Speaker
Yeah, guys, we are super pumped about this episode.
00:01:11
Speaker
We're gonna dive into just some fire content right off the bat.
00:01:15
Speaker
The stuff we're gonna talk about, I'm gonna preface here, is very unconventional stuff.
00:01:20
Speaker
There's very few places you can even hear this online and a lot of things that people don't like to talk about and we're really gonna dissect bottom line here
00:01:29
Speaker
what high performance, high achievers at any craft, and I'm going to show you what they're doing specifically, how to optimize their energy, how to have extreme amounts of laser focus, obsessive focus, right, and motivation constantly through the roof, and how to apply it more importantly to solar, how you guys can use it, how it can be your ultimate secret weapon to just dominate your goals in this industry.
00:01:52
Speaker
What we're going to talk about today is what I like to call here the dark side.
00:01:56
Speaker
And the dark side sounds intimidating, sounds super like, I don't know, evil even, like it's some sort of voice or something, right?
00:02:04
Speaker
But I don't want you to think of it that way.
00:02:07
Speaker
And I'm going to break it down why

Harnessing the 'Dark Side' for Success

00:02:08
Speaker
the dark side, which is really a combination of learning how to utilize your ego and the primal emotions that we're all born with and combine that with laser mental focus so you can execute things
00:02:20
Speaker
every single time with precision on command.
00:02:23
Speaker
So if it sounds like you, if you want more motivation, more ability to execute towards your goals, you wish that you could be more laser focused, this is going to be the opposite for you.
00:02:34
Speaker
Yeah, guys.
00:02:35
Speaker
And the reason why no one really talks about the dark side is because it's extremely controversial, right?
00:02:41
Speaker
It's because if you don't control your dark side,
00:02:44
Speaker
a lot of things can happen.
00:02:46
Speaker
Just for example, like you see what happens with Tiger Woods are like a lot of these high level individuals that get into affairs and things like that.
00:02:53
Speaker
And so if it really does get out of control, it can get pretty ugly very quickly.
00:02:58
Speaker
But if you
00:03:00
Speaker
learn how to harness it and how to hone it in, then you can achieve like the highest levels of success humanly possible.
00:03:06
Speaker
Right.
00:03:06
Speaker
And you can see that as a result of just Tiger Woods coming back after what, like 10 years.
00:03:11
Speaker
Right.
00:03:12
Speaker
And that's what happens when you really hyper focus in and you're able to control this dark side.
00:03:17
Speaker
So like Michael Jordan, um,
00:03:20
Speaker
Muhammad Ali, like those people, those are the guys that are able to harness it and really be able to create something like actually like a legacy that no one is able to replicate ever again.
00:03:30
Speaker
So if you want to learn how to become legendary and leave a legacy behind, you definitely have to use this dark side.
00:03:36
Speaker
Guys, one of the things about this, and most of my life, I've been obsessed with studying high performers.
00:03:43
Speaker
I used to play trumpet in high school.
00:03:45
Speaker
I studied high performers there.
00:03:47
Speaker
I've been following Tigers since I was in elementary school.
00:03:50
Speaker
I used to do a lot of sports.
00:03:51
Speaker
I've been obsessed with what these guys do and how I can apply it to my own life specifically.
00:03:56
Speaker
One common misunderstanding, I know Joseph had this question too when we met about five, six months ago.
00:04:03
Speaker
is personality, right?
00:04:05
Speaker
How does personality play a role in how the dark side works, how ego works?
00:04:10
Speaker
Because some people, right, have aggressive A-type red personalities and they apply themselves in a certain way.
00:04:18
Speaker
And you'll notice a lot of these high performers in any industry have these types of personalities.
00:04:24
Speaker
But what I've noticed working with Joseph, sharing some of the tactics and strategies on how to tap into this that we'll talk about today here,
00:04:32
Speaker
is you don't have to have this personality you don't have to be born with it and truly anybody can utilize a degree of this are you going to be the next michael jordan of solar probably not okay because there is a certain level of genetics that play a role into this but can you be the top one percent of solar professionals create a multiple seven and eight figure income using this stuff absolutely no question
00:04:57
Speaker
So guys, I want to talk about this gift,

Personality, Ego, and Financial Success

00:05:00
Speaker
right?
00:05:00
Speaker
What this gift does.
00:05:02
Speaker
is it allows you to, right?
00:05:04
Speaker
Some of the traits are obsessive amounts of focus, right?
00:05:07
Speaker
Being able to take just massive, ungodly amounts of action towards an outcome on command, having ridiculous amounts of motivation.
00:05:16
Speaker
Joseph gets these at times and periods too.
00:05:18
Speaker
I see him pull out on this.
00:05:20
Speaker
Yeah.
00:05:21
Speaker
I mean, what's an example of this?
00:05:24
Speaker
Joseph, what's like an example of like this ridiculous focus you could think of?
00:05:28
Speaker
ridiculous focus i mean for you like it's pretty much when you drink coffee and then when you watch like i think like a tom bill you video or like um tim grover video dude and you just get boom like just laser focused but it's literally different for every single person definitely like just how like every single fingerprint is different every single person is going to be different with how they can tap into the dark side so just by drinking coffee and listening to tim grover
00:05:54
Speaker
Like, I can't do that and just get into the zone.
00:05:57
Speaker
But it's kind of like an aggressive, controlled anger.
00:06:02
Speaker
I don't really know how else to describe it.
00:06:04
Speaker
But it's like, I'm not a very aggressive person or confrontational, right?
00:06:07
Speaker
I'm a blue type personality.
00:06:09
Speaker
So I'm very empathetic.
00:06:10
Speaker
I care a lot about people.
00:06:12
Speaker
I won't ever do anything that's not morally and ethically aligned with my standards.
00:06:16
Speaker
And so...
00:06:17
Speaker
For me to get into it, it's kind of like tapping into something that makes me really frustrated or really angry.
00:06:24
Speaker
And then that's how I can get laser focused.
00:06:25
Speaker
So like, if I get really angry about a situation and I just like directly apply that focus into what I'm doing and then get into a state of flow where you lose track of time, that is the type of focus that he's talking about.
00:06:36
Speaker
And so like, if you guys have ever worked so intensely at something where it's just challenging enough so that you stay focused and that you stay committed to the task,
00:06:45
Speaker
And it engages you actively.
00:06:47
Speaker
Um, and then you lose track of time, right?
00:06:49
Speaker
You looked up at the clock and then all of a sudden like four hours passed and you're like, Whoa, that felt like 30 minutes.
00:06:53
Speaker
Like that's the type of focus that he's talking about.
00:06:56
Speaker
And James is going to like elaborate more on this, but if you guys have ever felt that before, we're going to teach you guys how you can, um, manufacture this every single time at will.
00:07:06
Speaker
And that's what happens when you tap into the dark side with that obsessive, insane focus.
00:07:10
Speaker
Guys, this is literally taking me like I've been using this stuff not knowing what it is for my entire life.
00:07:17
Speaker
And I feel like a lot of people who do use this, they just don't know what it is or they feel guilty about using it or they don't have permission on how to use it because.
00:07:26
Speaker
let's be real guys like we are on this podcast like it's pretty freaking weird to talk about and we're willing to put it out there because i think you guys need to hear it because it's really if i were to put down like the secret to my success in this industry it's this because without this gift and knowing how to tap into it i wouldn't be able to learn as quickly and as efficiently as i do i wouldn't be able to execute on new ideas new training programs i wouldn't be able to go
00:07:51
Speaker
close just ridiculous amounts of deals in a day and generate leads, I wouldn't be able to do it without this new found energy source and superpower to go into.
00:08:00
Speaker
And the main driving force of that we're gonna talk about is what's known as the ego, okay?
00:08:05
Speaker
Now the ego is one of those gifts
00:08:07
Speaker
that we're given right and like any gifts that we're given like food frustration sex anger these are things that we're born with okay we're given as humans and they can be great allies for us food can give us energy right frustration and anger help us from
00:08:28
Speaker
dangerous situations, right?
00:08:30
Speaker
Those get adrenaline pumping and certain chemicals in our body that keep us away from danger.
00:08:35
Speaker
That's an ally.
00:08:36
Speaker
That could be it working in our advantage.
00:08:38
Speaker
But where it could be detrimental to us and our success is when we get stressed out or we get frustrated with a loved one or a spouse and we end up hurting them somehow when we overeat, right?
00:08:49
Speaker
Addictions, stuff like that.
00:08:50
Speaker
This is the dark side of it.
00:08:52
Speaker
So we're going to talk about the good stuff here.
00:08:55
Speaker
how you can utilize this, why you shouldn't be afraid to use these emotions to your advantage and how to keep it in check, which we're kind of, kind of split it here.
00:09:04
Speaker
Kind of the good cop, bad cop thing, but we're going to kind of play into each other's situation here, but I'm going to talk about how to utilize this, some of the tactics about it.
00:09:13
Speaker
And Joseph's going to kind of help mediate it and show you how to keep it in check to make sure that you're not becoming quite frankly, just kind of a douche.
00:09:21
Speaker
Yeah, that's the last thing we want, right?
00:09:24
Speaker
And so I think a reason why a lot of people don't use this or don't know, well, one, they don't know how to utilize it.
00:09:30
Speaker
And they don't even know about it in the first place, right?
00:09:33
Speaker
Because no one really talks about the dark side.
00:09:35
Speaker
And no one talks about it because they don't understand it.
00:09:37
Speaker
So this is where we'll help you clarify this.
00:09:40
Speaker
But another thing is that people are afraid to use this, right?
00:09:43
Speaker
Like it's, no one really talks about, well, when people talk about ego, they always say that, oh, like avoid ego, throw away your ego.
00:09:50
Speaker
Yeah.
00:09:51
Speaker
And they're saying, don't be egotistical.
00:09:52
Speaker
Don't be self-centered.
00:09:53
Speaker
Don't be like self-absorbed in those things.
00:09:55
Speaker
And so they kind of make those words synonymous with ego, but that's not necessarily true.
00:09:59
Speaker
And so what people do is that they actually stash away their ego completely and never take it out to use.
00:10:05
Speaker
But there are certain times and situations that you must unsheathe the sword, right, and use it.

Balancing Emotions for Goal Achievement

00:10:12
Speaker
And most people in the world, like, it's not that they're honorable and that they're righteous, right?
00:10:18
Speaker
A lot of people in the world are afraid of doing anything.
00:10:22
Speaker
And if you're afraid to take any sort of action or if you're afraid of, like, hurting other people, you're not actually...
00:10:29
Speaker
You're just literally afraid.
00:10:31
Speaker
That's it.
00:10:31
Speaker
It doesn't make you a good person.
00:10:33
Speaker
There's a difference.
00:10:34
Speaker
Not doing something bad doesn't make you a good person.
00:10:38
Speaker
Exactly.
00:10:39
Speaker
Because if you're operating out of fear, that means you're incapable of doing something bad.
00:10:43
Speaker
That doesn't make you automatically good.
00:10:45
Speaker
And so a true hero, a true legend, is a person that has a sword, but he keeps it sheathed.
00:10:52
Speaker
It doesn't mean that he's unarmed.
00:10:55
Speaker
And so that's the biggest difference between...
00:10:57
Speaker
the top 1% and the rest of the people.
00:10:59
Speaker
And that's something that no one really talks about.
00:11:01
Speaker
And so that's why it's like, you have to have an ego, but you have to keep it sheathed and you have to know when to take it out when it's necessary.
00:11:09
Speaker
And in these, and it's in times like these, right, in order to be able to achieve the things that you thought were impossible or what other people think is impossible, you have to tap into the source.
00:11:18
Speaker
I was just telling Joseph off the air with this as well.
00:11:23
Speaker
If it wasn't for ego, right?
00:11:24
Speaker
Because we were breaking down when I've been working on my ego to full transparency, right?
00:11:29
Speaker
Keeping this ego in check is difficult for me.
00:11:32
Speaker
I know how to utilize the pieces of the ego to my advantage.
00:11:35
Speaker
which is why I'm talking about this section, but I've had a hard time keeping it in check.
00:11:39
Speaker
And I've noticed in my business, in my sales, my personal life, the ego has been detrimental when it hasn't been controlled.
00:11:48
Speaker
So I could tell you this though, I was telling Joseph that if it wasn't for my ego and being able to tap into this dark side, I would not be anywhere near where I'm at today.
00:11:57
Speaker
None of the knowledge, the tools, I would not have the
00:12:00
Speaker
The really the world's best training and lead gen system.
00:12:03
Speaker
I wouldn't have any of that.
00:12:04
Speaker
And I wouldn't be the guy I am.
00:12:06
Speaker
I wouldn't have even met Joseph in the first place if it wasn't for my ego.
00:12:10
Speaker
And because he wouldn't have Joseph and I met.
00:12:12
Speaker
He bought our program.
00:12:14
Speaker
Right.
00:12:14
Speaker
We hit it off.
00:12:15
Speaker
We talked about it.
00:12:15
Speaker
We had a similar vision.
00:12:16
Speaker
We started working together with stuff.
00:12:18
Speaker
He wouldn't have found my product if my ego wasn't in check at that point.
00:12:22
Speaker
So I want you to realize that it's going to bring good and bad things.
00:12:26
Speaker
You just need to be able to identify with it.
00:12:28
Speaker
So enough about the intro here.
00:12:31
Speaker
Let's get to the tactics.
00:12:32
Speaker
I'm going to give you four strategies, how to embrace this dark side for massive execution, focus, and an untapped, unfound source of energy that you guys are all sitting on and you haven't realized how to pull out until now.
00:12:45
Speaker
So number one is sort of what Joseph talked about is leveraging anger and channeling negative energy into a positive outlet.
00:12:53
Speaker
Okay.
00:12:54
Speaker
We all are going to face negative energy in our lives, especially in sales.
00:12:58
Speaker
Anytime you're going to face rejection, you know, you're frustrated, you have failure with the goal, right?
00:13:03
Speaker
You're going to get angry.
00:13:04
Speaker
You get angry at a loved one.
00:13:06
Speaker
You get frustrated with a kid, right?
00:13:07
Speaker
We're all going to have anger.
00:13:09
Speaker
And rather than just sitting on that anger and stuffing it into a pot, right?
00:13:13
Speaker
Cause that's what everybody, most people do.
00:13:16
Speaker
We, as a society look down on people who are angry.

Channeling Negative Energy into Productivity

00:13:20
Speaker
We think we call them what insane, right?
00:13:22
Speaker
We go put them in mental hospitals because they freak out and they do things that they shouldn't do.
00:13:27
Speaker
They make bad decisions.
00:13:28
Speaker
That's an example of anger, getting out of control, the dark side, taking control of you rather than you taking control of it.
00:13:36
Speaker
But the question I want to pose with this is what if you can tap into that energy and propel it towards a positive solution, aka your sales, right, in this example?
00:13:48
Speaker
So a prime example of this, as many of you guys know, and I talk about it because it's surprising to a lot of people I talk to, the first six months of my solar career, I did not close a single deal.
00:14:00
Speaker
I was working 40, 60, up to 80 hours a week, including study time.
00:14:06
Speaker
And closed nothing.
00:14:07
Speaker
Didn't make a single paycheck besides a little small bonus check in my first week.
00:14:11
Speaker
This is a huge amount of rejection.
00:14:14
Speaker
Huge amount of frustration, right?
00:14:16
Speaker
Massive amounts of failure.
00:14:18
Speaker
Literally failing at every single deal.
00:14:20
Speaker
I was even getting 20, 30 leads a week, and I couldn't even close a single one of these.
00:14:25
Speaker
So imagine that amount of rejection and frustration I would be feeling.
00:14:31
Speaker
I had two options at that point.
00:14:33
Speaker
Option one, I could give up.
00:14:36
Speaker
I could just say, ah, I'm not cut out for this.
00:14:39
Speaker
I could suck up the rejection and the fear and I could do nothing about it or I could take it out on someone else in another way or
00:14:47
Speaker
I can channel that rejection, that anger that I felt, those chemicals, right?
00:14:52
Speaker
The chemical that we feel about is epinephrine, right?
00:14:55
Speaker
It's released when you're angry, you're stressed.
00:14:59
Speaker
And what this chemical does, guys, is it prepares your body for strenuous activity, okay?
00:15:04
Speaker
You go research this.
00:15:06
Speaker
Our body, when, imagine our ancient ancestors, if they had to go hunt like a saber-toothed tiger or something, or they had to protect their family from like a
00:15:14
Speaker
freaking wild animal or something, right?
00:15:17
Speaker
This chemical is going to kick in and it's going to give you this feeling that we know as anger, stress, right?
00:15:23
Speaker
And it's getting that body ready to do something drastic.
00:15:26
Speaker
It's getting your body in the state by a couple of things, getting it laser focused,
00:15:33
Speaker
It's heightening your senses, right?
00:15:35
Speaker
So you're more alert.
00:15:36
Speaker
You're sharp.
00:15:36
Speaker
You could think clearer, right?
00:15:38
Speaker
You could speak a little bit more articulate.
00:15:40
Speaker
Maybe your tonality and your body language is set up correctly.
00:15:43
Speaker
These are some of the side effects of when epinephrine comes into place if you know how to control it.
00:15:48
Speaker
So by...
00:15:50
Speaker
Literally causing your brain and your body to fill this adrenaline.
00:15:53
Speaker
You have a new found energy source.
00:15:55
Speaker
Your body has this energy source for when you're in a life or death situation.
00:16:00
Speaker
It's there, guys.
00:16:02
Speaker
But what do most people do when they feel angry or stressed?
00:16:05
Speaker
They freak out.
00:16:06
Speaker
They don't do anything with it.
00:16:08
Speaker
they don't play you're told to bottle it yeah i mean what do they do joseph what i'm trying to think of some examples like what do people do when they get like stressed what normal people do yeah when they're stressed yeah so typically i mean people are just told to bottle it up um some people work out not many people you already know that right like yeah so that's one for a very small segment of people but honestly people are just like
00:16:33
Speaker
what they do is they just go and judge people.
00:16:35
Speaker
Like they take that energy, that frustration, negative energy and channel it.
00:16:40
Speaker
Everyone channels energy somehow, right?
00:16:42
Speaker
Energy is neither created nor destroyed.
00:16:44
Speaker
It's just transferred.
00:16:45
Speaker
And so it has to go somewhere.
00:16:46
Speaker
And so what do people do?
00:16:47
Speaker
They typically redirect it towards something negative automatically.
00:16:51
Speaker
So by judging other people or taking it out on someone else or projecting their anger on somebody else, right?
00:16:56
Speaker
Let's see you got in a fight with your significant other.
00:16:58
Speaker
And then you go and project that anger onto your mom or your,
00:17:02
Speaker
dad was like yelling at you and then you project out onto your significant other right like these are things that people do when they don't know how to redirect it into something positive and so yeah it's so important to just remember that and so now it's like where do you where do you put your energy right because it's got to go somewhere and so you might as well put it something good so when you get angry and frustrated right um like james was saying you get this chemical that goes through your body epinephrine right and
00:17:27
Speaker
All of a sudden you start to feel like you ever feel like you want to punch something when you get angry, right?
00:17:31
Speaker
Like all of a sudden, yeah, it literally used to want to like run or like punch something.
00:17:35
Speaker
I don't know.
00:17:36
Speaker
Right.
00:17:36
Speaker
And so it's like, you get really aggressive out of nowhere.
00:17:38
Speaker
And so this is what you want to tap into.
00:17:40
Speaker
Like that's the dark side.
00:17:41
Speaker
And when you learn how to channel that.
00:17:43
Speaker
Yeah.
00:17:43
Speaker
We're literally talking about creating that on command to do an activity like door knocking or lead generation guys.
00:17:49
Speaker
Imagine the power in that.
00:17:52
Speaker
If you could do this.
00:17:52
Speaker
Exactly.
00:17:53
Speaker
It's like, how hard would you punch someone when you're frustrated versus like when you're not right or not infused with that chemical?
00:18:00
Speaker
And so that that newfound energy, you can just spontaneously create it or just tap into that source.
00:18:07
Speaker
And so, yeah.
00:18:08
Speaker
So like, what do you do essentially?
00:18:09
Speaker
Like, what's an example of how you would channel that frustration or anger or actually, how do you even tap into it in the first place?
00:18:16
Speaker
Like, what do you do to get like, you have to make yourself mad or like think about something that you hate?
00:18:21
Speaker
Yeah, we'll talk about that.
00:18:23
Speaker
We need to, for how to actually use it.
00:18:25
Speaker
That's going to come after the next three tips, actually.
00:18:28
Speaker
Yeah, you won't understand how to use it exactly.
00:18:30
Speaker
So just be aware of it is possible.
00:18:33
Speaker
And this is the source of it.
00:18:34
Speaker
Okay, we have identified the source of where this energy comes from.
00:18:38
Speaker
But the second part is, and we kind of talked about is you got to give yourself permission to use this.
00:18:42
Speaker
You got to realize, you realize now it could be used for good or bad, which is the first key.
00:18:47
Speaker
If you realize it can be used for good, give yourself permission to do that, okay?

Finding Your 'Why' and Purpose

00:18:52
Speaker
The way we're going to do that is through a constructive outlet, right?
00:18:54
Speaker
But we got to know why we're doing it.
00:18:57
Speaker
And this is where Joseph really comes into.
00:18:58
Speaker
We want to understand why.
00:19:00
Speaker
who we want to become, what identity we want to have, right?
00:19:04
Speaker
What kind of impact we have on the world.
00:19:06
Speaker
Because when you have these big reasons behind this, then you have a massive object you could throw this energy at.
00:19:15
Speaker
Take, for example, say my only concern in my life was just making cash so I could go buy a bunch of Krispy Kreme donuts.
00:19:24
Speaker
Lambos.
00:19:26
Speaker
Yeah, Lambos.
00:19:27
Speaker
I spent all my freaking cash on something small, okay?
00:19:32
Speaker
If I have all this newfound energy, right, built up and I just have a little teeny thing to put it towards, it's going to drive me crazy.
00:19:40
Speaker
And that energy is going to have to go somewhere else again towards a negative outlet.
00:19:44
Speaker
So in order to utilize this energy, you've got to have something bigger than life that you could throw it at.
00:19:49
Speaker
So go back to some of our pro athlete guys we talked about, right?
00:19:53
Speaker
Like Michael Jordan, right?
00:19:55
Speaker
He wanted to be the best basketball player in the world.
00:19:58
Speaker
That was his goal.
00:20:00
Speaker
That's not a small task.
00:20:01
Speaker
I don't know how many people play basketball, but hundreds of millions, I'm willing to guess worldwide, have played the sport of basketball.
00:20:09
Speaker
And to be the top guy in the world in history of all time, that was his goal.
00:20:14
Speaker
That's massive, and he's got a lot of energy you could throw at that, right?
00:20:18
Speaker
Because that's not going to be something you accomplish overnight.
00:20:21
Speaker
That's going to be a lifetime feat, and it has been a lifetime, right?
00:20:24
Speaker
And he achieved that, okay?
00:20:27
Speaker
But only because he had that big purpose.
00:20:29
Speaker
So for you and Swann,
00:20:31
Speaker
That could be anything from taking care of your family, right?
00:20:34
Speaker
That could be a big purpose.
00:20:36
Speaker
Saving the planet, right?
00:20:38
Speaker
Feeling an obligation, moral obligation to put solar on people's homes to clean up the environment, right?
00:20:42
Speaker
To save people's lives.
00:20:44
Speaker
That could be an obligation.
00:20:45
Speaker
It could be to fund a new business towards a project you're doing that's going to also save people's lives, okay?
00:20:51
Speaker
It could be, in my case, when I got in the industry, it was to learn the sales skills so that I could create other businesses.
00:20:57
Speaker
Now, this has led to
00:20:58
Speaker
unexpected avenues, right?
00:21:00
Speaker
Like consulting, I had no idea I would get in this situation, but it was there and I had a big purpose to throw it at.
00:21:08
Speaker
Yeah.
00:21:08
Speaker
That's so, so important.
00:21:09
Speaker
Like having that, why locked in and dialed in.
00:21:12
Speaker
So you guys probably have to go back and ask yourself before you even get to this step, like why you got into the industry, right?
00:21:18
Speaker
And why you're doing what you're doing.
00:21:20
Speaker
Because it's really, really easy to just start getting into the groove of things and getting into the habit and just working to make money to pay your bills, to then work to pay more bills and cycle over and over and over again and live for the weekend.
00:21:33
Speaker
Right.
00:21:33
Speaker
And so we lose track of what we're really doing all of this for.
00:21:37
Speaker
Right.
00:21:38
Speaker
So it's like,
00:21:39
Speaker
you're going to make a lot of money to pay bills to then buy more things so you can have more bills and then buy more stuff and then have more money and then to do what with it?
00:21:49
Speaker
You know, like, like the purpose of life is not just to get a lot of money.
00:21:52
Speaker
Like, what are you going to use that money for?
00:21:54
Speaker
Like, okay, like vacations and stuff, right?
00:21:56
Speaker
Like that's nice, but it's bigger than just yourself at this point.
00:21:59
Speaker
Like, who are you doing it for?
00:22:01
Speaker
Right.
00:22:02
Speaker
And then,
00:22:03
Speaker
What do you want to be remembered for?
00:22:04
Speaker
So like, these are the things that you have to keep at the front of your mind if you want to utilize the dark side, because if you don't do this and you're going to never going to be able to control it.
00:22:12
Speaker
Yeah.
00:22:13
Speaker
It would get out of check so, so, so quick.
00:22:15
Speaker
And so just remember that you do have to use our side of you, right?
00:22:20
Speaker
There is like in life, like it's, there's nothing is black and white.
00:22:24
Speaker
Like nothing is like good or bad per se, right?
00:22:26
Speaker
It's like what you do with it.
00:22:28
Speaker
So like anger isn't necessarily bad.
00:22:30
Speaker
It's what you do with that anger is what makes that action bad.
00:22:34
Speaker
Your intention behind your action is more important.
00:22:36
Speaker
Right.
00:22:37
Speaker
And so this is what you have to remember.
00:22:39
Speaker
Anger is not bad.
00:22:40
Speaker
Frustration is not bad.
00:22:42
Speaker
Right.
00:22:43
Speaker
Like feeling those emotions, it's impossible to not feel those.
00:22:47
Speaker
But what makes someone good or bad is what they do with it.
00:22:50
Speaker
And so this is like, this is step.
00:22:52
Speaker
So giving yourself permission to feel that frustration, to feel that anger, and then channeling it to something more important or bigger than yourself.
00:23:00
Speaker
I mean, you guys, you guys feel these emotions on a regular basis in sales, right?
00:23:04
Speaker
Especially in sales.
00:23:07
Speaker
It's inevitable.
00:23:08
Speaker
Sales is rejection.
00:23:09
Speaker
It's 90% rejection.
00:23:12
Speaker
So we're talking about channeling that rejection into strength when you need it to close the deal, when you need it, when prospecting is difficult.
00:23:20
Speaker
And here's the steps to do it, guys.
00:23:21
Speaker
There's five key steps, and they're really simple, okay?
00:23:25
Speaker
First is identify the outcome you want to happen.
00:23:27
Speaker
This is the goal.
00:23:28
Speaker
This is the mission.
00:23:29
Speaker
This is the objective.
00:23:30
Speaker
If you don't know what you want to do with this energy, then it's pointless because it's just going to find its way into something else, personal life, in a way that you don't want it to have.
00:23:38
Speaker
You got to know what you do, what your purpose in life is, what's your passion, what do you love to do, okay?
00:23:46
Speaker
That's first and foremost.
00:23:48
Speaker
Second, strategy to this.
00:23:50
Speaker
Sounds weird, but this is how you get it on camera.
00:23:53
Speaker
Because I want you to think about something that really pisses you off, gets your blood boiling, makes you frustrated, angry.
00:23:59
Speaker
I want you to actually manufacture this chemical, okay?
00:24:04
Speaker
I want you to create it on the spot.
00:24:06
Speaker
We all know things that make us mad, right?
00:24:09
Speaker
Think about something that just makes you so unbelievably mad.
00:24:12
Speaker
And then I want you to sit.
00:24:13
Speaker
Step three, feel that energy.
00:24:16
Speaker
Just continue to dwell on that energy just for a second.
00:24:19
Speaker
Just feel what it's like in you.
00:24:20
Speaker
Get the blood boiling on this, okay?
00:24:23
Speaker
You're magnifying it at this point.
00:24:24
Speaker
You're letting it steep.
00:24:26
Speaker
You're letting it boil up just a little bit.
00:24:28
Speaker
Then next, I want you to identify the activity that you need to execute on that's gonna take you towards your outcome you identified in step one.
00:24:38
Speaker
So for you, let's say you gotta go knock doors, okay?
00:24:41
Speaker
You're knocking doors because you wanna close three deals this week.
00:24:46
Speaker
That's the outcome.
00:24:46
Speaker
You want to close three deals to accomplish your purpose of taking care of your family or whatever that is for you, okay?
00:24:52
Speaker
You're going to think of something that pisses you off.
00:24:55
Speaker
You're going to get the blood boiling.
00:24:56
Speaker
You're going to feel that energy, and then you're going to say, all right, I got to go knock doors for three hours from 6 to 9 p.m.
00:25:02
Speaker
right now.
00:25:05
Speaker
Then you take this energy, you make that decision, and you apply it.
00:25:10
Speaker
That's it.
00:25:11
Speaker
Take that energy.
00:25:12
Speaker
This is like manufactured motivation, okay?
00:25:15
Speaker
Motivation, actually.
00:25:16
Speaker
We'll talk about it a little bit more, but motivation has its own chemical, which is mainly just dopamine, right?
00:25:24
Speaker
It's mainly dopamine, feel-good chemicals, is motivation.
00:25:27
Speaker
This is very similar to motivation.
00:25:29
Speaker
It allows you to have the same amount of action.
00:25:31
Speaker
When you feel motivated, you go out and you do something.
00:25:34
Speaker
This does the same thing, but the difference is your pain tolerance, your rejection tolerance is much higher when you tap into this field,

Preparation and Practice in Sales Mastery

00:25:45
Speaker
right?
00:25:45
Speaker
This force of energy, because you're already feeling the anger, right?
00:25:49
Speaker
When your body goes through and it puts this chemical, right?
00:25:52
Speaker
This fight or flight response in, it's prepared itself for danger.
00:25:56
Speaker
If you've ever gotten terribly injured, right, where somebody like โ€“ actually, I actually knew a friend once, and he โ€“ really stupid of him, okay, complete idiot.
00:26:05
Speaker
But he threw a Febreze can in a fireplace, okay?
00:26:11
Speaker
Nice.
00:26:12
Speaker
He threw a Febreze can in a fireplace when it wasn't lit.
00:26:16
Speaker
Okay.
00:26:16
Speaker
And then he lit the fire and I was hanging out with him.
00:26:18
Speaker
We were at this house, right?
00:26:19
Speaker
It was like a pool, pool house.
00:26:21
Speaker
And the fire went on and about five minutes in, dude, this, this Febreze can rocketed in and literally took a chunk off of his arm.
00:26:31
Speaker
Okay.
00:26:32
Speaker
Chunk out of his arm.
00:26:34
Speaker
I'm just like, oh my, like blood's just splurting everywhere.
00:26:37
Speaker
Just terrible.
00:26:38
Speaker
Right.
00:26:39
Speaker
He couldn't even feel it.
00:26:41
Speaker
He said he couldn't even feel it, right, because the adrenaline was just pumping so hard, right?
00:26:45
Speaker
His body was in that fight-or-flight response.
00:26:47
Speaker
That's some serious pain because this guy has massive scars on his arm, right?
00:26:52
Speaker
And he felt it for months all bandaged up, right, just like terrible.
00:26:55
Speaker
But at the time, that's the power of this chemical.
00:26:58
Speaker
So when you have this chemical going through your body, right, the fear of rejection, it's gone, guys.
00:27:03
Speaker
100% gone.
00:27:04
Speaker
Anytime I'm feeling nervous about something and I use those steps, right?
00:27:08
Speaker
I identify my outcome, my big purpose, what's my big why?
00:27:12
Speaker
I feel the anger, right?
00:27:14
Speaker
I feel of a frustration and anger.
00:27:16
Speaker
I let it sit there and then I tap it into an executable step towards that big purpose.
00:27:21
Speaker
Any obstacle in my way is obliterated.
00:27:24
Speaker
I'm unstoppable at this point.
00:27:26
Speaker
Very tactical stuff, guys.
00:27:28
Speaker
Joseph, any thoughts on that before we tie into something else here?
00:27:32
Speaker
No, that's funny.
00:27:32
Speaker
I'm still laughing about that story, dude.
00:27:34
Speaker
He's a complete idiot.
00:27:36
Speaker
Anyway.
00:27:36
Speaker
Oh my God.
00:27:38
Speaker
Yeah.
00:27:38
Speaker
I don't know how that happens.
00:27:39
Speaker
Funny.
00:27:40
Speaker
But no, that, no, my God.
00:27:43
Speaker
Yeah.
00:27:43
Speaker
That story just makes the whole entire point here.
00:27:46
Speaker
It drives it home.
00:27:46
Speaker
But yeah, guys, like when you tap into that fight or flight mode, like your sight, your senses are heightened, right?
00:27:52
Speaker
This is when you literally like everything that you've practiced can now come into play or fruition.
00:27:57
Speaker
It's kind of like,
00:27:58
Speaker
practicing basketball off the court, right?
00:28:00
Speaker
Just every single day, drilling day in, day out for like months on end until the game day.
00:28:05
Speaker
And on the game day, if something makes you angry and frustrated, you're going to go all out.
00:28:08
Speaker
But at this point, what you do is that you're not thinking anymore.
00:28:11
Speaker
I think Tim Garner says this so well, like you don't want to think.
00:28:16
Speaker
when you're executing like practice like when you think when you're practicing right you repeatedly go through the motions you make sure that you're very intentional about what you do but when you practice enough right the pros do you think that they have to think about what they have to do on the court when they get on you know like serena williams do you think that she has to think about the angle of the racket the grip uh exactly her hand placement right and exactly where she's gonna hit the ball with or on the racket she doesn't think about anything anymore
00:28:43
Speaker
At this point, it's just pure, like, honing in on the dark side and just feeling that epinephrine, right?
00:28:51
Speaker
And then just making sure that you channel that energy.
00:28:54
Speaker
And so there's no thinking at this point.
00:28:56
Speaker
And so, like, I know a lot of times that if you get angry, then you don't think and then people make bad decisions, right?
00:29:00
Speaker
The reason why people make bad decisions is because they didn't practice.
00:29:04
Speaker
No one practices being angry.
00:29:06
Speaker
Very few people practice anything in their lives, right?
00:29:09
Speaker
And so if you do practice, though, and become a pro at what you are and master your craft, if you become angry and frustrated and channel that energy into something, an executable step, right?
00:29:20
Speaker
Like knocking on doors, going to a sales presentation, right?
00:29:23
Speaker
An appointment, and then you just go at it.
00:29:25
Speaker
Like all that you've practiced is now just...
00:29:29
Speaker
It's just motion, right?
00:29:30
Speaker
To give you an insight on that, I'm at the point too, and I'm knocking on wood here big time.
00:29:36
Speaker
I don't get angry, okay?
00:29:38
Speaker
I can't think of the last time I actually got angry at somebody or a situation.
00:29:43
Speaker
I've literally gotten to the point because I've been doing this for years to where โ€“
00:29:47
Speaker
The feeling, right, this chemical when it comes in, unless I'm like in danger, right, obviously the body's going to kick it in by itself or if a breeze can wipes out my arm, I'm going to feel it.
00:29:58
Speaker
But a social situation, I don't get angry.
00:30:01
Speaker
Like road rage doesn't exist with me.
00:30:03
Speaker
Somebody could totally smash into the side of the car, right, and break my arm and be angry.
00:30:09
Speaker
Like โ€“
00:30:09
Speaker
I'm at that point, I'm numb to the anger because I've rewired this emotion as motivation on tap.
00:30:16
Speaker
I could literally use that force now.
00:30:18
Speaker
And that's kind of how my brain views it at this point.
00:30:21
Speaker
And I wanted to let you know, like, you can get to that point too, guys.
00:30:25
Speaker
It just takes practice.
00:30:27
Speaker
That's awesome.
00:30:27
Speaker
You're like a Tai Chi master, bro.
00:30:29
Speaker
It's like, it's like an art form, but it's like you're fighting, right?
00:30:33
Speaker
So obviously you're going to be angry.
00:30:35
Speaker
and frustrated and you're going to be going against like pretty formidable forces but those guys are so calm so centered so focused yeah and so it's literally taking that energy and redirecting every single time it's literally just judo right and so when you become a master you don't worry anymore you don't have to get frustrated or angry but in the beginning that's what you have to do to tap into it and once you learn it enough you practice it enough times then it just becomes like a something that you've mastered
00:31:03
Speaker
And you can just like, literally, it's just one fluid motion now.
00:31:05
Speaker
Anything

Competition: Motivation and Success

00:31:06
Speaker
that comes in opposition of you can now be redirected into something great.
00:31:11
Speaker
All right, so here's another tactical strategy on this, guys.
00:31:14
Speaker
So you already know the steps to it.
00:31:16
Speaker
That's the meat of it.
00:31:17
Speaker
Honestly, you could take that one point away and utilize that, and you're going to be well off.
00:31:22
Speaker
But this is even more next level, how you can even optimize yourself even further.
00:31:27
Speaker
And again, some of it's kind of weird, but it works.
00:31:31
Speaker
One is to utilize competition, okay?
00:31:33
Speaker
And there's two forms of competition.
00:31:35
Speaker
A lot of people will talk about...
00:31:38
Speaker
external competition, right?
00:31:40
Speaker
You're go compete with a competitor, right?
00:31:43
Speaker
Maybe somebody did you wrong and you want to beat them, prove them wrong.
00:31:46
Speaker
I know a lot of people do that, right?
00:31:48
Speaker
There's that kind of competition.
00:31:50
Speaker
And then there's personal competition.
00:31:52
Speaker
This is with your potential.
00:31:54
Speaker
This is sustained success.
00:31:57
Speaker
The only difference with these is personal competition, competing with your better version of yourself, which I highly recommend everybody do.
00:32:04
Speaker
Once you identify your why and your purpose and you understand it, this comes pretty naturally.
00:32:09
Speaker
This is going to allow you to have...
00:32:11
Speaker
Lasting motivation, lasting focus.
00:32:15
Speaker
It's going to be kind of metered.
00:32:17
Speaker
It's not going to be huge spikes, but it's going to be lasting.
00:32:20
Speaker
It's going to allow you to sustain success over the long term of your career.
00:32:24
Speaker
This is what all these world-class athletes, you don't think Michael Jordan was competing with.
00:32:30
Speaker
all the other basketball players.
00:32:31
Speaker
He was competing with himself, but, and here's a big, but right.
00:32:36
Speaker
External competition.
00:32:37
Speaker
When Michael Jordan started playing basketball, many of you guys know the story of when he got cut from his high school basketball team.
00:32:46
Speaker
What did he do that summer?
00:32:48
Speaker
He went out, worked his tail off so he can prove the coach wrong in his face, right?
00:32:54
Speaker
And the entire team wrong.
00:32:55
Speaker
He came back as one of the starting players, right?
00:32:58
Speaker
Because of that motivation.
00:33:00
Speaker
That was external competition, looking at somebody outside of himself.
00:33:04
Speaker
And I could tell you, I've utilized both.
00:33:06
Speaker
I like external competitions in sales environments.
00:33:09
Speaker
I quite frankly, I like to kick some ass when it comes in sales.
00:33:13
Speaker
I like to have other people I could compete with and shove it in their face.
00:33:17
Speaker
Okay.
00:33:18
Speaker
Yeah.
00:33:19
Speaker
Not everybody has it.
00:33:20
Speaker
Joseph's not like that, but it's a tool I like to utilize, but it's not going to last forever.
00:33:27
Speaker
It's not going to last forever at all.
00:33:28
Speaker
You need to be able to compete with yourself at that point.
00:33:31
Speaker
And that's really where the ego is that fine balance utilizing your ego full swing to the right full power.
00:33:37
Speaker
That's going to be external trying to beat out other people, prove them wrong, trying to be the best of the best personal competition is going to be where you have to hold it back in and it comes back to you.
00:33:48
Speaker
Okay.
00:33:49
Speaker
So that's how you use competition.
00:33:52
Speaker
Yeah.
00:33:52
Speaker
For external competition and personal, you have to, you actually have to have both.
00:33:56
Speaker
It's absolutely essential.
00:33:59
Speaker
And so what you can think about is external competition is short term.
00:34:04
Speaker
It's short-term goals.
00:34:06
Speaker
So think of it like that.
00:34:06
Speaker
It's like the catalyst to get started.
00:34:09
Speaker
And then the personal competition with yourself is a long-term goal.
00:34:13
Speaker
That's what's going to take you to the next level, the apex of the mountain.
00:34:15
Speaker
Go back to the predator situation.
00:34:18
Speaker
Yeah, exactly.
00:34:19
Speaker
Like a saber-toothed tiger, right?
00:34:21
Speaker
You got to go kill this saber-toothed tiger.
00:34:23
Speaker
That's external competition.
00:34:25
Speaker
You're going to get immediate motivation and a push of adrenaline by doing that.
00:34:29
Speaker
Personal competition would be going back to the tribe, taking care of the family, building up the village, whatever the hell it is.
00:34:35
Speaker
Anyway, exactly.
00:34:36
Speaker
Whatever our ancestors did, but yeah, that's essentially exactly what it is.
00:34:40
Speaker
But between those two, you need both use external for short term.
00:34:45
Speaker
short-term immediate like action and then personal to just prolong that, right?
00:34:51
Speaker
It's more about sustaining and keeping your success versus just like obtaining it for short-term.
00:34:56
Speaker
Very few people can actually sustain and keep it.
00:35:00
Speaker
A lot of people can get those spurts.
00:35:02
Speaker
Like you've always heard those guys that had like
00:35:04
Speaker
a crazy amount of sales in one month and it just tanks the next, right?
00:35:07
Speaker
You don't want to be like one of those guys.
00:35:08
Speaker
Those guys use external competition to its max, but didn't utilize personal competition.
00:35:13
Speaker
And what you want to do for a personal competition is compare yourself to the person that you were yesterday.
00:35:18
Speaker
That's what you want to do.
00:35:19
Speaker
And just beat the hell out of that person that you were yesterday.
00:35:22
Speaker
And so if you keep that in mind, that's also utilizing...
00:35:26
Speaker
Like that's actually pretty instant as well and immediate.
00:35:29
Speaker
And so if you look back on who you were yesterday, what you did, what you accomplished and try to one up yourself every single day, imagine where you'd be in a week, right?
00:35:36
Speaker
Seven days of constant one up in yourself, leveling yourself up, doing, doing outdoing yourself of what you did yesterday for seven straight days.
00:35:44
Speaker
Like how far would you go if you did like
00:35:46
Speaker
50 doors, right?
00:35:48
Speaker
One day you have to do 51 the next day.
00:35:49
Speaker
They have to do 55.
00:35:50
Speaker
They have to do 60 the next day.
00:35:52
Speaker
And 70, do you see how that can start snowballing out of control in a very good way?
00:35:56
Speaker
And so imagine 30 straight days of just continually remembering what you did yesterday and beating that person.
00:36:02
Speaker
Like that's how you get to the next level.
00:36:03
Speaker
Like Michael Jordan didn't have any competition when he did that because he
00:36:07
Speaker
There is not even close.
00:36:08
Speaker
So if you keep competing externally, you're always going to fall short or be equal to everyone.
00:36:12
Speaker
So that's what you don't want to rely on.
00:36:13
Speaker
You really want to rely on that personal competition after you get that initial push from, uh, from the external part of that is the, uh,
00:36:21
Speaker
Back to the feeling of that adrenaline, right?
00:36:24
Speaker
If you look back and you're competing with yourself and you look back at what you did yesterday and you get a feeling of dissatisfaction and you even get angry and get that feeling of adrenaline about how you could have done better yesterday.
00:36:37
Speaker
I know I used to do this all the time.
00:36:39
Speaker
I would be โ€“
00:36:41
Speaker
We'll talk about how to control it a little bit more because it's dangerous because I was at the point like when I played trumpet in high school, right?
00:36:48
Speaker
I was always dissatisfied.
00:36:50
Speaker
Every concert, right?
00:36:51
Speaker
It could be phenomenal.
00:36:52
Speaker
And I was pissed because I know I could have done better every single time.
00:36:58
Speaker
Every time, man.
00:36:59
Speaker
I mean, to give you an idea, I did like some national trumpet competitions.
00:37:02
Speaker
I got second place like in my senior year of high school through ages 29, right?
00:37:07
Speaker
Through kids in college.
00:37:08
Speaker
And I was pissed at the performance, right?
00:37:10
Speaker
And I go back and I hit the practice room and I hit the grindstone again, right?
00:37:14
Speaker
It was using this method.
00:37:16
Speaker
I feel it.
00:37:16
Speaker
Oh, I could have done better.
00:37:17
Speaker
I feel that energy.
00:37:19
Speaker
I identify the activity.
00:37:20
Speaker
This is my purpose.
00:37:21
Speaker
Boom, execute.
00:37:22
Speaker
So that's just another example again.
00:37:25
Speaker
I love it.
00:37:26
Speaker
Yeah, that's pretty much all you guys need to do for external and personal competition.
00:37:30
Speaker
But just to keep in mind, like it's a lot of people say like, oh, don't beat yourself up.
00:37:34
Speaker
Like, no, this is when we give you permission to do that.
00:37:38
Speaker
Yeah, you have to because who else will?
00:37:41
Speaker
You know, what happens if you get coddled for the rest of your life?
00:37:44
Speaker
If everyone just keeps coming to your aid and saying, oh, it's okay.
00:37:47
Speaker
Like, no, it's not okay to lose.
00:37:50
Speaker
It's not okay to just...
00:37:52
Speaker
to just walk through life, you know?
00:37:54
Speaker
And so this is the time that you have to beat yourself up.
00:37:57
Speaker
But again, it's not the action itself, but it's the intention behind the action that you're doing.
00:38:01
Speaker
So why are you beating yourself up?
00:38:03
Speaker
Is it just to wallow in your self-pity and so you can just continually cry and sit in your room all day and do nothing, right?
00:38:10
Speaker
That's not it.
00:38:11
Speaker
So if you're beating yourself up, know exactly why.
00:38:13
Speaker
It's to become better.
00:38:14
Speaker
It's to beat the version of yourself that you were yesterday.

Energy Management and Physical Preparation

00:38:17
Speaker
It's to become the best in your industry and in your craft.
00:38:20
Speaker
Become a master.
00:38:21
Speaker
You know, it's like, those are the reasons why you would want to do it.
00:38:24
Speaker
So remember, don't, it's not necessarily action, but the intention behind it.
00:38:28
Speaker
Yeah, that's big.
00:38:30
Speaker
Last part on this, guys, before we talk about how to harness this ego, and we'll take a break.
00:38:33
Speaker
We're here right after this.
00:38:35
Speaker
It's how to maximize your body, right?
00:38:37
Speaker
We talked about some of the chemicals your body does.
00:38:39
Speaker
I have a few little key ninja strategies I like to use.
00:38:42
Speaker
Again, pretty unorthodox on some of these, but if you break down really the science of how we're built, it makes 100% sense.
00:38:49
Speaker
So one is like, obviously, you guys know eating healthy foods is going to keep your energy on point, but
00:38:54
Speaker
When I have like a big sail, this is one of my rituals before any big presentation or if I had like a string of three, four sails in the evening, I actually wouldn't eat.
00:39:04
Speaker
I would actually purposely fast before these sails because when you fast, right, you actually get a spike in energy again.
00:39:11
Speaker
This one's called Nora Adrenaline, okay?
00:39:14
Speaker
And basically this chemical does one thing.
00:39:17
Speaker
It motivates you to go find food, okay?
00:39:21
Speaker
That's how your body has it because if you think about it as humans, again,
00:39:24
Speaker
If we didn't have food like many of us didn't have in the morning, we'd have to go hunt animals or whatever.
00:39:30
Speaker
If we felt low energy during that time period, there would be zero motivation to go out there and hunt and use this required energy, this massive amount of energy to take down this animal, to go find it, to go walk miles and miles in the heat.
00:39:45
Speaker
This spike of energy is very, very powerful.
00:39:49
Speaker
So you guys, if you haven't experimented with fasting and intermittent fasting, I highly suggest it.
00:39:54
Speaker
And then another one I like to do is I just like to do some pushups, jumping jacks, burpees, get that adrenaline pumping before any sort of activity.
00:40:02
Speaker
If I'm going to go prospect, I'm going to go do follow-up calls, especially with me working in an office situation too, where I'll close deals over the phone, right?
00:40:11
Speaker
Where I'm doing consulting, I'm sitting at the computer all day.
00:40:13
Speaker
I definitely got to do this, especially if I'm doing an activity I don't want to do.
00:40:16
Speaker
I got to get down, do 20 pushups, then get to it.
00:40:19
Speaker
So anyway,
00:40:20
Speaker
Yeah, 100%.
00:40:21
Speaker
Tony Robbins has a trampoline before he... Yeah, really?
00:40:23
Speaker
Yeah.
00:40:24
Speaker
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:40:25
Speaker
So he has to jump on a trampoline before he goes on the stage every single time.
00:40:28
Speaker
And that's what he's doing.
00:40:29
Speaker
It's essentially just priming your body.
00:40:32
Speaker
So all of this is literally like, guys, we're teaching you how to just create a source of energy that you can tap into, right?
00:40:40
Speaker
It's like, so when you fast, you then...
00:40:43
Speaker
tap into this newfound source of energy that you can then channel, right?
00:40:47
Speaker
It's always about finding this energy, transferring it, and channeling it to something that you can use for better.
00:40:52
Speaker
And so that's what happens when you fast, right?
00:40:54
Speaker
You get that energy boost, and then you channel to something.
00:40:57
Speaker
When you exercise or move your body or jump on a trampoline, whatever you want to do, then you have this newfound energy, and then you can channel it into something good again.
00:41:04
Speaker
And then make sure you guys, make sure you're eating right.
00:41:06
Speaker
Like this is, I know like we didn't really talk much about it, but like
00:41:09
Speaker
Diet is probably one of the most important things for your energy source.
00:41:12
Speaker
Like this is a, you're literally getting your fuel from energy.
00:41:15
Speaker
If you put,
00:41:17
Speaker
like shit gas in your engine you're gonna get terrible production you're gonna get worse mile mileage on your gas so you can't go very far very far and so what you want to do is you want to make sure your diet is on point and my diet was out of whack for so long like i didn't have it on point i was eating terrible stuff like fast food every single day i was eating frozen food oh my god like every single time i get home i just throw six
00:41:40
Speaker
pizza rolls or something in the oven, right?
00:41:42
Speaker
And it would just destroy my stomach.
00:41:43
Speaker
And I just thought it was normal, right?
00:41:44
Speaker
I'm like, oh, I ate until I was full.
00:41:47
Speaker
I mistook full for hurt.
00:41:49
Speaker
Like, I thought I was full, but I was actually like dying.
00:41:53
Speaker
My stomach was crying for help.
00:41:54
Speaker
It was like, don't put this crap in my body.
00:41:56
Speaker
And I was still just dumping this garbage into me.
00:42:00
Speaker
And I was wondering why I didn't feel like doing anything after I ate.
00:42:03
Speaker
I was wondering why I was groggy, why my mind was foggy.
00:42:05
Speaker
I didn't want to do any work.
00:42:06
Speaker
I didn't have any motivation.
00:42:08
Speaker
And so if you guys are feeling that way, like lethargic after you eat, you don't feel good.
00:42:11
Speaker
You don't feel the best.
00:42:12
Speaker
You feel bloated.
00:42:13
Speaker
Watch what you're eating and listen to your body.
00:42:15
Speaker
I don't have time to go into like exactly what you should eat, but a very simple, actionable thing that you can do is just listen to your body.
00:42:23
Speaker
Like be very intentional when you eat.
00:42:25
Speaker
And then when you eat, I learned this from James too, because his diet's like so clean.
00:42:29
Speaker
It's cool.
00:42:29
Speaker
I was like, dude, how do you eat like only brown rice and chicken?
00:42:32
Speaker
This makes no sense.
00:42:33
Speaker
But what you want to do is listen to your body.
00:42:37
Speaker
So when you eat something, notice how you feel.
00:42:40
Speaker
Do you feel like your energy levels are raised or lowered when you eat the food?
00:42:44
Speaker
Do you feel groggy or do you feel sharp and alert?
00:42:47
Speaker
It's very, very easy to tell what you should and shouldn't eat.
00:42:49
Speaker
And don't listen to anyone else.
00:42:51
Speaker
Don't listen to like all these dieticians and nutritionists.
00:42:53
Speaker
Like, look, no one knows your body, right?
00:42:57
Speaker
Everyone's allergic or sensitive to certain foods.
00:43:00
Speaker
And so like, you can't just automatically assume like, oh, I know I'm not lactose intolerant, so I can still eat dairy.
00:43:05
Speaker
But I wasn't lactose intolerant, but I knew that dairy didn't make me feel good.
00:43:10
Speaker
Like, I don't know if I'm sensitive to it or not, but I just know that if I eat it, my energy levels go down.
00:43:15
Speaker
I get groggy.
00:43:15
Speaker
I get slow.
00:43:16
Speaker
I can't think as well.
00:43:18
Speaker
I'm not as articulate.
00:43:18
Speaker
I can't work as well, right?
00:43:20
Speaker
My production goes down.
00:43:22
Speaker
And so I watch that and I'm careful.
00:43:23
Speaker
And I know I'm not lactose intolerant, but I don't eat that food anymore.
00:43:27
Speaker
But you have to be disciplined in this aspect.
00:43:29
Speaker
And so watch what you eat, watch how you feel and eliminate foods that make you feel bad.
00:43:33
Speaker
And then watch how you feel when you eat something good and make sure you keep repeating those actions over and over again, eating that food over and over.
00:43:39
Speaker
Guys, if this sounds like a lot of stuff, it is.

Conclusion and Solar Spartan System Promotion

00:43:42
Speaker
And when it comes down to it, our job is simple, right, on the podcast.
00:43:46
Speaker
It's to give you every variable, every question of doubt, every situation that may come up, right, and every tool, more importantly, and strategy that's going to stack the odds in your favor, okay, no matter what your goal is.
00:44:01
Speaker
So if right now you're thinking, ah, James, I like eating those double cheeseburgers and stuff like that, okay,
00:44:07
Speaker
Yeah, there's successful guys who eat like crap, right?
00:44:10
Speaker
And they do well.
00:44:11
Speaker
Elon Musk is a prime example or like Warren Buffett.
00:44:14
Speaker
Yeah.
00:44:15
Speaker
But why would you bet your success on the like 1% exception of somebody who is successful by eating like crap or didn't know how to control their anger?
00:44:24
Speaker
Okay.
00:44:25
Speaker
I'm not going to do that.
00:44:26
Speaker
Those are stupid odds.
00:44:27
Speaker
I want best odds possible.
00:44:30
Speaker
I want odds that are completely unfair and give me a ridiculous advantage to everybody else.
00:44:36
Speaker
This is just one of those things, another one of those things that's going to stack those odds in your favor.
00:44:41
Speaker
Okay, guys, let's go ahead and take a quick break here for part two, and we'll wrap up the episode.
00:44:49
Speaker
Hey listeners, it's James Swiderski here.
00:44:50
Speaker
I promise we'll be right back to this fire content you're enjoying, but I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you about the number one training platform that I trust my own clients as well as my own solar team with, and it's called the Solar Spartan System.

00:45:35
Speaker
Now, you might be saying, James, that's cool, but...
00:45:38
Speaker
How does it force me to have success?
00:45:40
Speaker
And this is where it gets pretty ninja, my friend.
00:45:42
Speaker
So listen up.
00:45:43
Speaker
So here's what makes the Solar Spartan system so effective.
00:45:47

Combining that with the power of social accountability and then top-notch strategies used by today's solar professionals, solopreneurs, right?
00:46:06
Speaker
So what does this mean for you?
00:46:07
Speaker
No more watching 15-hour courses.
00:46:10
Speaker
No more banging your head trying to figure out how to apply Grant Cardone's strategies over here and Dan Lok's strategies over here to solar specifically.
00:46:19
Speaker
And no more guesswork.
00:46:21
Speaker
The Solar Spartan system is 100% action oriented, meaning you won't be given more content to study than what you need to actually reach your next four deals, 10 deals, 16, 20 deals, whatever your goal is, there's a milestone for it within the system.
00:46:38
Speaker
And to give you guys an idea of what you can expect out of this, I've taken some of my lowest producing reps and clients from closing one to maybe struggling to get that third or fourth deal a month, all the way to closing 18 to 20 deals a month in less than 90 days.
00:46:54
Speaker
It's that good.
00:46:55

00:47:19

00:47:29
Speaker
Let's get back to the show.

Controlling Ego and Mission-Driven Success

00:47:31
Speaker
All right, guys, welcome back.
00:47:34
Speaker
We're going to dive into part two here with Joseph, and we're going to talk about controlling the ego.
00:47:39
Speaker
We talked about how to utilize it, right?
00:47:41
Speaker
And we're going to talk about controlling it.
00:47:43
Speaker
And one of the main things that allowed me to help myself, Joseph was really one of the primary guys that helped me grasp and understand how to control this ego, okay?
00:47:51
Speaker
How to keep it in check to where it's not detrimental to my success and helping others.
00:47:56
Speaker
One of the primary things that
00:47:58
Speaker
we used was finding an example, okay?
00:48:01
Speaker
Just think of somebody in your life, some sort of mentor, somebody who you know that is wildly successful, okay?
00:48:08
Speaker
And what I find is most people who are very successful, right, we think about the Michael Jordans, the Ed Milet, the Tom Bilyeu's, right, Quest Nutrition.
00:48:15
Speaker
We think about these guys
00:48:17
Speaker
they don't get to the level they're at if they didn't have an ego.
00:48:21
Speaker
They didn't understand how to use it.
00:48:23
Speaker
It's literally impossible to become a high achiever at something if you don't have that ego to be able to utilize and you don't use the parts and the strategies we talked about first.
00:48:32
Speaker
But what I noticed, two guys in particular I thought about, and Joseph helped me realize that I look up to tremendously, right, is Ed Milet and Tom Bilyeu, founder of Quest Nutrition.
00:48:43
Speaker
I look at these guys, right,
00:48:45
Speaker
Ed Milet, massive nine-figure company, right?
00:48:48
Speaker
Just ridiculous success.
00:48:50
Speaker
He's got his own jet.
00:48:51
Speaker
Tom Bilyeu, right?
00:48:52
Speaker
Quest Nutrition, just insane success.
00:48:55
Speaker
But they're humble as hell, dude.
00:48:58
Speaker
Like, just ridiculous.
00:48:59
Speaker
These guys are focused on mission, purpose, helping others above themselves.
00:49:04
Speaker
Yeah, they're prime examples of what it's like when you're able to utilize your ego and then control it, right?
00:49:11
Speaker
These guys, you can't mess with them, right?
00:49:14
Speaker
But if these guys didn't have an ego, they'd just be pushovers.
00:49:17
Speaker
Like they would just get walked all over and they wouldn't be able to build these businesses.
00:49:20
Speaker
Like these guys are going to have spines, right?
00:49:22
Speaker
And the only way you can have that is by having an ego, but then keeping it in check so that you don't just spiral out of control, right?
00:49:29
Speaker
And so it's all calculated and extremely controlled.
00:49:34
Speaker
And James touched on this just a little bit, but what these guys do to like the easiest way to kind of control your ego, right?
00:49:41
Speaker
At a broad scale, like a macro scale is by creating a vision and mission that's bigger than yourself.
00:49:46
Speaker
And what you want to do is keep that at the top of your mind daily, because if you're focused on the vision and mission, those things are for other people, right?
00:49:55
Speaker
By definition, visions are like the world that you want to create in the world encompasses other people, right?
00:50:00
Speaker
Your mission is something that you want to do for other people, right?
00:50:04
Speaker
And so what you want to do is craft a vision and mission that a vision for the world that you want and a mission of how you're going to accomplish that mission, that vision in the first place.
00:50:13
Speaker
And so if you have that, you remind yourself of that daily, then you're going to be able to keep this ego in check because now you're constantly focusing on other people and how you can create this reality that you have in your head.
00:50:23
Speaker
So that's the first step that you want to do in order to get your ego in check.
00:50:27
Speaker
And
00:50:28
Speaker
you can tell like it's going to be uncomfortable at first because a lot of people don't have a vision and a mission.
00:50:33
Speaker
And what you want to do is make it almost, you really do want to make it uncomfortable actually, because you want a vision, like a vision big enough so that it's almost impossible or impractical to try to accomplish it within your lifetime.
00:50:46
Speaker
And that's how you leave legacies.
00:50:48
Speaker
Like by creating a vision of the world that,
00:50:50
Speaker
Is in the future so far ahead that you won't even be alive to be able to see it come into fruition.
00:50:57
Speaker
And so that's the definition of like something that will last for millennia almost.
00:51:02
Speaker
Right.
00:51:02
Speaker
And so the next step that you want to do is a good exercise is like take note of what other people are saying about you.
00:51:10
Speaker
Right.
00:51:10
Speaker
If you have a big ego, this is what you really want to do.
00:51:14
Speaker
And don't take the stuff that people say personally.
00:51:16
Speaker
I'm not saying like care about what they say and like take it to heart and be sensitive about it.
00:51:21
Speaker
I'm saying look at this objectively.
00:51:24
Speaker
Think of it as like a science experiment.
00:51:26
Speaker
Survey people and see what they think of you and just take it as data points.
00:51:30
Speaker
Right.
00:51:30
Speaker
See how other people are reacting to what you say and what you do and then see if you're pushing them away or harming them.
00:51:37
Speaker
right?
00:51:38
Speaker
Are you building your relationships up or are you distancing yourself from other people?
00:51:42
Speaker
Like be very careful and very cautious and then very attentive to what you're doing and then how other people are reacting to you.
00:51:49
Speaker
Because in this world, it's not just you alone, right?
00:51:51
Speaker
You have to interact with other people.
00:51:52
Speaker
And so make sure that you're acting harmoniously and that you're building people up and not tearing them down.
00:51:59
Speaker
And then the next step, what you want to do is this all kind of ties in together, right?
00:52:02
Speaker
And so the emotion or the
00:52:05
Speaker
kind of the value and virtue that you want to embody is empathy, right?
00:52:09
Speaker
So if you look at another person, right, immediately what the ego will do is judge other people.
00:52:15
Speaker
That's what happens when an ego is out of check.
00:52:17
Speaker
You'll automatically judge other people.
00:52:19
Speaker
And so when you do that, you automatically open yourself up to be judged as a consequence, right?
00:52:24
Speaker
For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction.
00:52:26
Speaker
So if you judge, you will be judged, guaranteed.
00:52:29
Speaker
But if you don't judge other people and you see them through another lens, you see them through their own lens and you see, you don't just see their action, but you see, oh, like, why did they do that action?
00:52:38
Speaker
What could have caused them to do this action?
00:52:40
Speaker
You see beyond that and you see it from their side.
00:52:43
Speaker
That's when your ego is controlled.
00:52:45
Speaker
Right.
00:52:46
Speaker
And you understand them.
00:52:47
Speaker
And that's when you can really start to see the fruits of your labor in this sense.
00:52:52
Speaker
Look.
00:52:53
Speaker
And so let me let me give a quick example so these guys can relate it to what they're doing here.
00:52:57
Speaker
Think about how you view salespeople.
00:53:00
Speaker
So say you're walking through a mall, right?
00:53:02
Speaker
And the mall kiosk salesman comes up to you.
00:53:04
Speaker
How do you feel?
00:53:05
Speaker
What do you think about that guy?
00:53:07
Speaker
Are you thinking, oh, geez, dude, get out of the way.
00:53:10
Speaker
This is so annoying.
00:53:11
Speaker
Like he's trying to sell me something.
00:53:13
Speaker
Like take a good hard look at how you view these situations because if you feel a fear of rejection when you go knock doors or when you're going to call somebody or follow up with somebody, you feel like you're pushing, that's because you probably feel the same way when a salesperson is pushing with you.
00:53:30
Speaker
And that's how you're judging them.
00:53:32
Speaker
That's so key.
00:53:33
Speaker
That's so good.
00:53:34
Speaker
Yeah.
00:53:35
Speaker
So if you are right, if you're walking through the mall kiosk and you like avoid eye contact, right?
00:53:39
Speaker
That's like the universal tactic to not get approached.
00:53:42
Speaker
You avoid eye contact.
00:53:43
Speaker
You walk on the side furthest away from them or you even put your significant other between like you and the salesperson, right?
00:53:51
Speaker
Yeah.
00:53:52
Speaker
So if you guys are doing that, it's literally why when you're going to approach these people or you're going to prospect, you're going to these doors, you're afraid, you're reluctant, you're hesitant, it's because you think that the other person's gonna think the same thing about you because you thought that same thing about the salesperson at the kiosk, right?
00:54:05
Speaker
And so this thing applies to like,
00:54:08
Speaker
If you're having trouble selling solar and you're trying to sell it only on price, and you always get, oh, this is another thing too, like your objections, right?
00:54:17
Speaker
Look at the objections that you're getting during your presentations.
00:54:21
Speaker
And if you're getting things like, oh, I can't afford this, or like, oh, I want to research, right?
00:54:26
Speaker
It's probably because you have those same exact tendencies.
00:54:29
Speaker
Like, are you the person that buys stuff instantaneously, doesn't research?
00:54:33
Speaker
Or are you the type of person that takes hours and hours?
00:54:35
Speaker
Because I know I was that person, right?
00:54:37
Speaker
I would research for hours on Amazon, looking at every single review possible, the good, the bad, the middle, right?
00:54:43
Speaker
All of it.
00:54:43
Speaker
And then I would just waste so much time to buy like an $8 product.
00:54:47
Speaker
Right.
00:54:47
Speaker
And I'd always try to find the cheapest one.
00:54:49
Speaker
And so when that happened, I wasn't able to get the clients that I wanted because I was always concerned when I mentioned my price, I thought that it was too expensive because that's how I viewed everything in life.
00:55:00
Speaker
I was like, oh, this is too expensive.
00:55:01
Speaker
This is too expensive.
00:55:02
Speaker
Like that's how I operated.
00:55:04
Speaker
And so because of that, I then reflected that objection in my sales.
00:55:08
Speaker
And so take a look at what objections you're getting, because most likely whatever objections you're getting, you probably have when you're being sold to from the other

Reflecting on Actions and Intentions

00:55:16
Speaker
side.
00:55:16
Speaker
Yeah.
00:55:18
Speaker
Yeah.
00:55:18
Speaker
That's so sneaky.
00:55:19
Speaker
And so the ego is sneaky and ninja.
00:55:23
Speaker
And so what I mean by this is that it can come up in unexpected ways.
00:55:26
Speaker
Sometimes you don't even know that it's ego.
00:55:29
Speaker
And so that's why I like to say like, I've been repeating this a lot, but this is probably one of the most important parts within ego.
00:55:36
Speaker
It's like, and in actions that you take, it's like, it's not what you do, but why you do what you do.
00:55:41
Speaker
The intention of what you are doing speaks louder than the action.
00:55:44
Speaker
Like, remember when I said that nothing in life is either good or bad.
00:55:48
Speaker
It's why it's what you do with it afterwards.
00:55:50
Speaker
So frustration and anger, it's not necessarily bad, but what you do with it after is what matters or what makes it good or bad.
00:55:59
Speaker
So it's all about the intention.
00:56:00
Speaker
Like in this world, it's just everything just is.
00:56:03
Speaker
There's no good or bad.
00:56:04
Speaker
Like the only way that it's good or bad is by our own perspective, by our own labels, right?
00:56:09
Speaker
And it isn't until that we remove those labels or just look past it and say why we're doing it.
00:56:17
Speaker
is when we can really tap into something greater than what we are and so um the last thing that you guys want um that you guys want to do and this is a good like test or a check that you can do to make sure that your ego is um controlled is ask yourself why you're doing what you do with everything you do it's like why did i say that to my prospect or why did i say that to my mom or dad why did i say to my significant other was it really what i meant or was it just because of the heat of the moment
00:56:43
Speaker
And so if you keep asking yourself why you do what you do, why did I give money to that homeless person?
00:56:47
Speaker
Was it because I wanted to look good in front of all the people that were around me in my friend group?
00:56:51
Speaker
Or was it because I genuinely cared about that person?
00:56:53
Speaker
You see what I mean?
00:56:53
Speaker
Like nothing in this world is good or bad.
00:56:56
Speaker
It's why you do it is what makes it good or bad.
00:56:59
Speaker
Guys, when you can make that a habit, and it's still not a habit for me, but since working with Joseph on this, you can tell he knows what the hell he's talking about with this stuff.
00:57:09
Speaker
It's been a big, big game changer for me, but...
00:57:12
Speaker
If you could get to the habit where you're consistently on a regular basis asking yourself the question, why?
00:57:19
Speaker
Why do I do this?
00:57:20
Speaker
Why do I do that?
00:57:21
Speaker
Once that becomes a habit ingrained with you, and I'm almost there on it too, where I literally question everything I'm doing throughout the day.
00:57:29
Speaker
Holy crap, guys.
00:57:30
Speaker
The amount of change that happens at that.
00:57:32
Speaker
To give you an example, like the Spartan system you just heard about, right?
00:57:36
Speaker
that product has just 10X in improvement and quality in the last three to six months I've been working on this since working with Joseph and figuring these things out because I asked myself the question like, why am I teaching this method to them?
00:57:50
Speaker
Why am I teaching them LinkedIn prospecting?
00:57:52
Speaker
Is it because it's cool?
00:57:53
Speaker
I think it's cool and it makes me look cool, right, as an influencer in this industry, right, that I know all this cool shit or is it gonna actually help them?
00:58:01
Speaker
And that's where I really got rid of a lot of the fluff, a lot of the stuff on there.
00:58:05
Speaker
And it's really just hardcore tactics.
00:58:07
Speaker
That's going to help, right?
00:58:09
Speaker
The purpose is there.
00:58:11
Speaker
Oh, a hundred percent.
00:58:11
Speaker
And you got that dialed in so much.
00:58:13
Speaker
So it's like,
00:58:14
Speaker
in life you're just going to like 90 of what we do is have after we get to the age of 35 right and so it the only way to change it is by questioning it first if you never question anything you're never going to change anything and so that's why questioning is so important because it breaks that pattern that you're in so if you really do want to break out of that vicious cycle of you repeating the same actions and making the same mistakes and feeling the same way
00:58:38
Speaker
The first thing you need to do is become conscious of it.
00:58:40
Speaker
And the way that you become conscious about it is by asking yourself why.
00:58:44
Speaker
That's how you break the loop because you'll never get out of it if you don't ask why.
00:58:48
Speaker
But guys, the last thing that you need to do to just like put this, to wrap this whole entire thing up, right, is to talk to someone that knows you.
00:58:59
Speaker
Right.
00:58:59
Speaker
But you have to ask them to be completely transparent with you.
00:59:02
Speaker
So you need an objective third party observer.
00:59:05
Speaker
And so you have to tell them, though, that, hey, Gary, whoever it is, right, that, hey, I want you to be brutally honest with who you think I am, where I'm going, how I treat other people, what people are saying behind my back.
00:59:19
Speaker
Like, I need you to let me know this.
00:59:22
Speaker
And it won't change our relationship at all, no matter what you say.
00:59:24
Speaker
Right.
00:59:25
Speaker
but you hurt me or not, it doesn't matter.
00:59:27
Speaker
The reason why I want you to tell me this brutal, honest truth is because I want to become better as a person, as an entrepreneur, as someone that can change the world.
00:59:34
Speaker
I need you to tell me the truth though.
00:59:36
Speaker
Like, how do you feel about me?
00:59:38
Speaker
Am I hurting people?
00:59:39
Speaker
Am I building relationships?
00:59:41
Speaker
Am I a good person?
00:59:42
Speaker
What are my tendencies, right?
00:59:44
Speaker
Spell it all out, lay it all out for me so that I can then change it.
00:59:48
Speaker
And so when you tell someone this and they are completely transparent with you,
00:59:51
Speaker
It's very hard to observe yourself, right?
00:59:53
Speaker
Because we don't really notice what we're doing, but a third party, someone else observing you,
00:59:58
Speaker
that's been there for, you know, like a good year or two, at least, then they can point out things that you tend to do if you drive people away, if your ego is too big, if you're too conceited, if you are loving, if you are caring, if you're empathetic, right?
01:00:10
Speaker
These are things to know, right?
01:00:12
Speaker
Don't take this personally.
01:00:13
Speaker
This is an experiment.
01:00:14
Speaker
This is something you must observe.
01:00:16
Speaker
And so don't take this to heart, but just take it as data points to then change and become who you want to be.
01:00:23
Speaker
But that's

Recap and Community Engagement

01:00:24
Speaker
pretty much it, guys.
01:00:25
Speaker
That's like the whole entire episode on like how to channel your ego, utilize it to become an apex predator elite solar rep and to be able to just completely obliterate competition, right?
01:00:38
Speaker
So this is how the greats became great and the legends actually were created, right?
01:00:43
Speaker
This is the exact thing that they tapped into.
01:00:46
Speaker
And then we also learned how to control your ego, which is just by asking yourself why you do what you do continuously.
01:00:53
Speaker
and creating a vision, a mission that's bigger than yourself.
01:00:56
Speaker
And once you guys do that, and you do this repeatedly every single day, right?
01:00:59
Speaker
Go over this episode.
01:01:01
Speaker
These episodes, guys, when we make it, our intention is not for you to listen to it once, right?
01:01:06
Speaker
So repetition is what breeds mastery.
01:01:09
Speaker
So you have to go back and listen to this.
01:01:10
Speaker
If you really do want to cement this into your brain and to be able to not only just listen, right?
01:01:15
Speaker
Because that's not why we're doing this.
01:01:17
Speaker
It's not just to look cool, to sound cool.
01:01:18

01:01:47
Speaker
Right.
01:01:48
Speaker
Habit takes at least 21 days up to 27 days, 30 days to then form and become a habit that's cemented within your biology.
01:01:55
Speaker
So please take what you learned, one thing, and implement it immediately, guys.
01:01:59
Speaker
But that's pretty much all we've got for this episode, guys.
