Introduction and Guest Welcome

00:00:01
Speaker
All right, guys, we're live. Welcome back to Savage Boston Podcast. I am your host, Scott, with Savage Boston Sports, here with Brett, per usual, co-host, and we got our our guy, special guest tonight, friend of the pod, had him on before, Bryson, um who I believe all of you will probably recognize from Twitter. He's all active on Twitter and a regular Patriots contributor. How are we doing today, Bryson?
00:00:28
Speaker
I'm very good. That was Savage's very nice way of saying that I need to go outside a little bit more, but that's perfectly fine because I love him to death. I just want to say thank you guys for bringing me on here. I'm very humbled. Every time Savage wants me to hop on the pod with his boys, I'm totally down to talk ball. So i appreciate you guys a lot.
00:00:44
Speaker
Yeah. Thanks for coming

Kayshon Booty Trade Rumors

00:00:45
Speaker
on, man. We appreciate you. Well, I got, we got a comment already, which I like right off the bat just says, keep booty trade pop. We're like, we're kicking off with comments right away. i like this.
00:00:55
Speaker
Just want to get into it. You know, we got, I think people feel passionately about this issue, especially with Kay Sean booty. um Because it's like every time, every time you bring them up, every time we talk about Kay Sean booty, people get so, so passionate, man. It's like, it's like their little son, like their little baby, you know what mean? They're like, They're like seventh round or sixth round baby. and And, you know, you watch them grow and then Belichick doesn't let them play. And then he finally grows into his own blah, blah, blah. Right. So I get why people love, love booty. And I get why people um are into the player.
00:01:30
Speaker
The problem is like he's genuinely on the trade block. And I think this is I think this is an issue. Oh, we said Bryson drop. Hopefully he comes back. But but again, again, this is like something where he's on the trade block. He's been on the trade block for I don't know. I think the rumors were last summer. He was, um you know, Breer has a report the other day that he's values a fifth or sixth round pick. and And I think it's interesting that people don't seem to. ah OK, we got Bryson back. but I think people don't seem to think it's realistic that Booty would go for fifth or sixth. So why don't I toss it to Bryson first? Hopefully our connection stuff stays good. And Bryson, give me your thoughts initially on Kayshawn Booty and and kind of his his trade value at the moment.
00:02:15
Speaker
Listen, Tom Brady's always trying to DDoS me out of these podcasts. you know Ever since I went into the MVP talk, like I'm having trouble with these podcasts. But yeah, I like what you said because you know I'm one of those guys. I'm like the well-actually guy. Savage knows this. This is why I appreciate him so much. He's like the beacon of what everyone thinks.
00:02:33
Speaker
and then ah But who handle me he'll come to me and he'll be like, what do you think about this? and I'm like, I think. And sometimes I'm wrong, but a lot of times I'm early, right? Mack Jones, Cam Newton, all these players, I'm early. And And and I've never said like a Sean booty is not a good player. I've always said he's a useful player. Like I've always said he's probably a best like a B minus player.
00:02:52
Speaker
But you can do better than that, right? And the and everyone gets so mad, and that's how I know I'm right, because it's like an infection. You start squeezing it, and people start writhing in pain. It's like, okay, there's something there here. We've got to squeeze this a little bit more. And, you know, I've said all offseason, like, you should not want to just settle for Kashawn Booty. You know, if you're the Patriots, it would be nice. It would be nice if you had

Booty's Contract Year Implications

00:03:15
Speaker
Kashawn Booty. They would rather just keep him, right? Because, of course, if you have Madden, you want to just keep Booty. But the problem is โ€“ Imagine you're Kashawn Booty's agent, right? You're in a contract year with Kashawn Booty.
00:03:26
Speaker
And, you know, he is like he is one of those persons that could have a really good year and have a huge like a big payout. And if he is like taking cuts and reps from Matt Collins or A.J. Brown or Dubes or, you know, any of these guys, Kyle Williams. If he's not getting ah a starting share of those reps, there's like a solid chance he's not going to get the contract that everyone wants. And this could, you know, he's just like any other NFL player. This means a lot. And so the Patriots would like to keep them, you know, worse. But however, think about it. If booty stays with the Patriots and he's like splitting starter reps, even less than last year, especially because AJ Brown's coming here, then he's not getting the contract that you want to.
00:04:07
Speaker
and what's the comp pick really going to be, right? like Like they're saying, the room is a little bit crowded. You'd like to keep him. However, they want to go somewhere where Kashawn Booty can get a contract, and I think the Patriots are โ€“ it's probably not going to be the Eagles because their wide receiver room is pretty strong. It could be. However, I think they're going to find another trade partner in the in most likelihood. So he's a solid player. But, guys, A.J. Brown is so much better than Kashawn Booty.
00:04:32
Speaker
We'll talk about it here in a minute. yeah you know like Like you said, there's so many people that are they want to hold on to the young Kishon Booty-like guys. He's not getting faster. He's not getting quicker. He's not getting stronger. He really struggles in
00:04:50
Speaker
lot of areas. He's a useful player, but he's not about that for some reason. Got you. I appreciate the take. Yeah, the internet, our internet's a little shoddy tonight. i don't know if it's from the the storms earlier. We had thunderstorms rolling through, but ah I want to give Brett an opportunity to respond really quick. Just read a couple comments we have just before Brett goes. Uh, our guy here, paper waves, which is, uh, uh, been active on Twitter here, uh, for Patriots content recently. um he says, this is the time to sell high, potentially crowded room.
00:05:21
Speaker
Um, you know, which again, we can get into, another guy says new AJ Brown update, clearly BS trade posturing, you know, again, there's a lot here. We'll get into all this. I do there there's, I don't think people are far off with any of this stuff.
00:05:35
Speaker
um Brett, I don't know if you're is your internet working in here? Do you want to give it a go Brett with your internet? Or is what ah are you connected here? Can you hear me, Brett?
00:05:48
Speaker
He texted me individually say that his audio is crap. All right. So this is off to stunning story. Back to me again. I love this. Let's go. Well, we're like on the podcast or on a live stream. It makes sense. People are like can see and follow along. Be like, oh, okay. Just the internet's bad. When we go into like podcast mode, people are be like, what the fuck are we listening to? I'm telling you. It's something with StreamYard, man. I like it, but does this stuff.
00:06:11
Speaker
It's, it's been, was gonna say, it's been pretty good the last couple of times I tried, but, um but yeah, as for now, it's, um you know, a little bit good, but just stay on booty before we go to AJ Brown. Cause there's a lot of, there's a lot of stuff there with AJ Brown stuff in the last few days. And this is kind of the talking points. I just feel like the, ah the emotion with booty is really interesting. Like, I just think there's, there's so much emotion built in rather than like, are we thinking about our, are there other players that can do what booty did or does and better?
00:06:41
Speaker
Um, and are there guys that are going to be here longer term? that, you know, aren't going to be mad about not having a new contract, you know? So for instance, again, like booty is in a contract year.
00:06:53
Speaker
And even Mike Reese the other day, interestingly enough, says that, you know, booty, he he made a note in a Sunday notes. He says, booty's not, you know, Romeo Dobbs is relying on other, other veterans and booty's not in the building. And, you know, when Mike Reese is saying something, you want to listen, just saying. So what are what are your thoughts on that Bryson?

A.J. Brown Trade Prediction

00:07:15
Speaker
Yeah, I think he's right. you know Eagles fans are coping about this massively. I don't know why they're doing this. There's really no point. but like If you listen to them, they're like, oh, well, you know there's no handshake deal. Other teams can be interested, blah, blah, blah. When really, like A.J. Brown...
00:07:34
Speaker
knows he's most likely going to be a Patriot. Everyone's been told most likely after June 1st, he's going to be a Patriot. And like I said before, that includes Kashawn Booty's agent. So they are merely just planning to not be Patriots, right?
00:07:47
Speaker
And I'm not sure what Kashawn Booty fans are saying about him not being there. but And I don't blame him, right? I'm not mad at Kashawn Booty. Like, I want to see him get paid and have an awesome year. Actually, I hope he gets traded to an awesome, you know, not an awesome team, but like a team where he can have the reps he needs. And we'll see what ah what it pans out to be. Like, I have a feeling he's not going to be that 1,000-yarder.
00:08:07
Speaker
yard receiver but a lot of people think he's that because they've seen those highlight plays and and don't get me wrong he's had a lot of big plays that are awesome he's a useful player but like to me it reminds me and maybe not maybe a little bit faster but like Brandon LaFell like an like a good wide receiver you know with Drake May he's he's pretty solid but like he's just simply like you can do better at that position right and you love him a lot but you You don't blame him for not being there. And and by the way, I told you guys this like months ago.
00:08:36
Speaker
I had a tweet where I said, Kishon Booty, and you know people can infer what they want from that. But no, Kishon Booty is not going anywhere now. Okay, we'll see. just think, like you said, people are โ€“ you know, people are giving him a lot of value. And I think if this was in the Brady era, right, right. If we're thinking back to the Brady era, there's a guy who you thought was a wide receiver three or four, um, you know that caught that had 550 receiving yards in a season.
00:09:05
Speaker
I don't think you guys would be all up in arms about getting rid of them. You know, nobody would be like, or be like, all right, next man up. Cause it's Tom Brady. Right. And I want people to start thinking that way in some regard with Drake. And I, and I hope that's how Drake develops, right. Is that basically anyone who's going to be in the room with Drake is going to be good.
00:09:24
Speaker
Anyone who's going to be there is going to get better. They're going to improve. They're going to, they're going to have good numbers. Like Drake is the one that's going to elevate people. And, You know, by all early accounts, and this is, you know, Bedard, it's funny, I just shared something like a half an hour ago because it was a rare ah positive a positive comment clip from Bedard.
00:09:43
Speaker
Hyping up, he was hyping up Drake May. He said like, hey, watch out for Drake. He's looking he's looking pretty good. And I was like, whoa, all right, that's like a Bedard pump up, which is rare. So so yeah, just I want people to start thinking like, hey, if they do trade booty, it's going to be for like a six round pick.
00:10:00
Speaker
or you know or fifth or sixth round pick to a team that will probably re-sign him. And hopefully the Patriots have have the next man up. You know what i mean? Yeah, of course. I mean, and you and you guys just โ€“ actually, you know, before when I started โ€“ I think I started talking about this in March maybe when talking about A.J. Brown. No, we're not training Booty. like He's just getting better. Guys, like Belichick talked about this, and he's so right about this.
00:10:26
Speaker
NFL fans extremely overrate an athlete's ability to gain skill after they've been drafted, and they severely underrate just how much they've already developed after they've been in college. He talked about it. In college, that's where most of the players do get most of their developing. In the pros, it can happen, but for the most part, what you see in a player is mostly what you're going to get. And a lot of the things that he said was, if you didn't see it by the first and second year, there's a good chance you're not going to see it right in the third, fourth, fifth year. That's just who they kind of are. They've maxed out their potential. You got think about this is full-time job for him. and I'm not saying, again, not saying he's bad, but
00:11:06
Speaker
Is he going to turn into some 1,000-yard rider? I mean, I watch a lot of those games, especially where Diggs is not being used as much, and Booty is like โ€“ he does get blanketed a lot. and Don't get me wrong.
00:11:17
Speaker
he's The thing that people love about Booty and what makes him really awesome is he has automatic hands, essentially, and he's really good at just getting up and deep, right? But if that's not there โ€“ It's like, what is there really? Sometimes he has a little comeback route, but he's not going to catch the ball and run with it. Right. He's not really like that short yard kind of guy. He's kind of like a boomer bus kind of player and he's very useful, but that has its limits. Right.
00:11:42
Speaker
Yeah. I don't even think this would be like a, a talking point really, unless people got so heated about it. You know i mean? That's just my my theory. Like, I think if, if like the other well, man you know they did I mean, I tweet the other day, right. It comes out. It's a,
00:11:57
Speaker
what the Breer report comes out just that he's, his value is probably like a fifth or sixth. If someone's even wants him. And it's like, basically. and um'm go someone died Right. And the borderline is like disrespectful. You know what mean? To booty like from Breer, like the way it's phrased. And it's like, if someone's interested him. Right. So that's all I tweeted out. I just tweeted that out with the if and like, man, people go crazy. And I'm like, you know, I just don't,
00:12:22
Speaker
That's kind of what it's expected to be. People were offended that you could even consider accepting a third day draft pick for booty. And I was like, guys, he's in a contract here and he had 500 yards receiving. i don't I don't know. Like, I get what you're saying.
00:12:36
Speaker
And, like, this is what everyone got after me last year. they They're like, why does Savage hate Booty? I don't hate Kayshawn Booty. I like Kayshawn Booty. He did a great job. do that I was there at Gillette when he caught the one-handed pass against the Texans. it was fantastic. It was an unbelievable moment. and I think he's been a really solid receiver and a good rapport with Drake. But I just don't know, like โ€“ this is a guy they're probably going to move on from and maybe pop Douglas too. Like I see pop Douglas in the chat and and I think Douglas, we talked, talked on this last time. Like Douglas is the guy that doesn't fit, doesn't look the part as to what the offense looks like right now.
00:13:16
Speaker
You know what mean? Like if you look at what the receiver builds are, he's the guy that doesn't, he doesn't look it right now. I don't know. How how do you feel about that? how do you feel

Kyle Williams' Role and Development

00:13:25
Speaker
about pop right now? Bryce?
00:13:27
Speaker
You know, I've always liked him. Me and LB both have always liked Pop Douglas. yeah He's quick. Sometimes he has good hands, but he's just like you saw it last year, the fourth down play where he's like going backwards.
00:13:41
Speaker
A lot of plays are like that. it seems like he's. It just seems like he's not always on the right page, right? And and as slot receivers go, everyone's a slot receiver. You can find a slot receiver. Like, for all I care, put Kyle Williams in the slot. yeah Who even cares? Giggs was the slot.
00:13:58
Speaker
Like, a ton time, you know. Yeah, you got you have Hunter Henry, right? You've got all these players that are going to be playing in the slot. You don't really need that.
00:14:08
Speaker
Is A.J. Brown happening? Someone just asked us that. We've been telling them this for like since November. right gar He's going to be a Patriot. Have you seen our tweets yet? what Who are you? Go to our page. He's going to be a Patriot. We've been telling them.
00:14:19
Speaker
The comments are so funny, man. That's the funniest part about live streaming, dude. I love that. It's so much better than just doing a podcast. with i love I think comments are are great. Can we just talk about A.J. Brown?
00:14:31
Speaker
We can. You want to go into AJ? I don't know if everyone, you know, that feels like the other elephant in the room. Wait, here, give me your, ah I don't know, the what's the new rapport? I have strong feelings on this. you You go first on your AJ Brown, Jags, whatever feeling.
00:14:46
Speaker
Yeah. I don't know. It just seems like feelers, you know. But I think A.J. Brown, everyone has taught. If you just listen very closely to everyone, everyone knows he's a Patriot. Eagles fans are coping about this. Like, someone could sweep in and offer this. It's like, okay, yeah, but they're not, all right? Like, A.J. Brown wants to be a Patriot, and you're going cope and see because he's going to be a Patriot. He's not going anywhere
00:15:16
Speaker
i think No one's going to own that price because of all the reasons surrounding that. The Patriots, AJ Brown wants to be a Patriot. The Patriots won A.J. Brown, and the Eagles are going to do him a solid because he was a great player for them. okay And they're going to get good compensation, so they're not going to get ripped off. We've seen this. like You see this with Jimmy Garoppolo. You see this all the time where teams teams are not โ€“ NFL fans think that teams have trade ideas, and they just post them on a pin board for everyone in the entire NFL to see. Hey, this is our trade. This is the compensation. What do you think? This is never happens. When Jimmy Garoppolo got traded, one call, trade. That's it.
00:15:53
Speaker
That's how it happens, okay? People talk in this league. Everyone knows A.J. Brown's going to be a Patriot. It just hasn't happened yet in time. I've told you it's going to happen. Savage told you it's going happen. A.J. Brown lover is telling you he's going to be a Patriot. We've been saying this for months now, man. Everyone knows this. There's no bulletin board where people are like, well, the Patriots are offering a first. Maybe if we offer a third too, we'll get a... No one is saying that. The Chiefs don't have money for this. The Jags are not doing this. This is not happening. A.J. Brown is a Patriot, and you're all coping, okay?
00:16:26
Speaker
Yeah, this is It's so funny, dude. So I think the... I think you know Eagles fans, yeah I would say this first. I appreciate you, Eagles fans. I really do. For nothing. i appreciate no I appreciate their ability to engage with almost anything. It's probably how other fan bases feel about Patriots fans. like You say anything about past fans that are in your comments like, you you know and i love that i really do i think that's passionate yeah they're good i'd rather you have that than not right and so eagles fans are the same way where basically they're like they're like uh you know you say something about aj brown and and of course they go off and you're either two responses either uh he's washed good luck or or we're getting a first he's so good like it's confusing like they the cognitive dissonance here with aj brown is
00:17:15
Speaker
is tremendous. But I will say this, the thing that made me crazy the other day is, you know, there's a random, it wasn't even a report. It was like a comment by Jason Lacomfora, who I guess widely right now, I'm not trying to crap on anybody, but talking to other reporters, he's not exactly a guy who's as maybe like tuned in and maybe puts out some clickbaity stuff.
00:17:38
Speaker
That's all I know about him. And this is from other Patriots reporters that have told me this. So Cause I put stuff out in the past from him. and which has turned out to be completely wrong wrong things. so So long story short, it's weird that they can say that their own reporter, Elliot Shore Parks, who I don't know, who that's their upbeat guy who apparently is a reputable reporter. Very trustworthy guy. They say this guy's full of shit, their own guy.
00:18:05
Speaker
Meanwhile, they're championing Jason Lockham for his comment of maybe the Jags, might he would fit the Jags. like Tell me, how does that make sense in any way? but Please.
00:18:16
Speaker
Hey, i want to I want to try something really quick. There's a lot of people watching this podcast. Okay, if you're listening, I know Ben Bolin's not listening to this right now. Everyone DM Ben Bolin and say, like, you heard that A.J. Brown is going to be a jag and see what happens. Okay, see if you can light up a conversation. I want to see Eagles fans, like, quote-tweeting Ben Bolin, talking about some random Twitter source.
00:18:39
Speaker
Well, it's just โ€“ I mean it's shocking to โ€“ I just โ€“ you can't tell me like you refuse to believe the reporting from your own guy and then like you believe a random comment from Jason Lackenfora. It doesn't make any fucking sense. It's not how this shit works. Like there's been no reputable reporter at any point say โ€“ the Jags or the Chiefs or like any other team is in. There was a moment in time where the Rams were hot and heavy for a second and then they got cold feet quick. That's the only other report of any team.
00:19:16
Speaker
Other than that, can you name me one fucking team that's been involved at all, truly, for AJ Brown in the last two months? Savage, what I know As good as I know I'm breathing, Drake Silver told me that A.J. Brown is a patriot, okay? That's all I need to know. I don't need to know anything else. He's the real the real source. He's the real deal. I think the people are right, though.
00:19:41
Speaker
Maybe we should start talking about what A.J. Brown is going to do for the offense because I want to hear what Savage Boston has to say about this. Yeah, man. Well, I mean, as you know, so what I was touching on before with Pop for like a hot second is like the size. and So the size of all the wide receivers, like what are they trying to tell us? Right.
00:19:58
Speaker
Like what type of player do they want at wide receiver? They obviously want huge bodies that can block really, really well um and are extremely physical and can make like contested catches. Like that seems to be the the dynamic they're going for, which is not Pop Douglas.
00:20:15
Speaker
which is why people are bringing this up. They're kind of like, okay, you know, this is a, you know, with Pop Douglas, he doesn't fit the mold, although he's really athletic and can be a deep threat from Drake, which we saw this past year.
00:20:27
Speaker
I'm happy to keep Pop, no problem with him, but he's, the mold is that they want these huge bodies who can be really physical, can test and catch and block. And so I think AJ Brown comes in and if he can give you two to three really high quality years,
00:20:45
Speaker
Like i'm I'm all on board, 100% on board. We need two to three really high quality years. So how do you feel about that? you are so right about this. That is that is the right mindset to have. I have to give the Patriots credit because but I've always been saying this for years, like get a weapon. If they're a little bit older, that's fine. You're going to get the Tom Brady Bruce. You're going get the Drake May boost, right? You're going to get the Josh McDaniel boost. You know, as much as we complain about Josh McDaniels, every single time that this guy has a marquee weapon, he loves spamming that. There's no time where you're like, hey, let's stop. Like, let's throw the Gronk more. No, it's like spam throws the Gronk. Hey, there's Brandon Cooks. He's getting the ball all the time. There's Randy Moss. And this is what excites me so much about A.J. Brown.
00:21:31
Speaker
And there's actually a second part to that that's really exciting, which I'll talk about, about the locker room. But number one on the field. A.J. Brown is going to be is going to be treated the best by the Patriots, right?
00:21:41
Speaker
If you think Kashawn Booty is great, now you have A.J. Brown. He's much better. He's better after the catch, right? He's better in the short areas. He's a bigger player, like you said, and he can have those deep shots with Drake May, who's A.J. Brown's going to get the Drake May boost too, right? That's going to help everyone else. Put Kyle Williams in the slot for all we care, right? He's going to have an awesome one to three years. That's all we need. ah Like Patriots fans, you got to shorten your vision here.
00:22:05
Speaker
We once we as a mean savage Boston won so many Super Bowls here. OK, but winning one simply with Drake May should be the goal. Just win one. Figure out how to win one. Then you can win more. But the other side of that, other than the awesome stats and the awesome plays are going to come onto the field. You have a year where people rightfully are saying the Patriots schedule is a lot harder this year. The Patriots are going to have a hangover this year. There's a Mike Vrabel effect, right? But what you get is an injection into into the locker room like, no, we traded for A.J. Brown. We are deadly serious about winning this year. And the psychology of that really does affect players. they talk about it all the time, midseason trades or um offseason trades or signings where the the players in the locker room
00:22:49
Speaker
They'll tell you that meant a lot because we can see that they want to win really bad. It's not about, you know, parades and tours and in-season regular scenes and stuff. No, the Patriots want to win. So that's why they're trading for A.J. Brown. It's going to get everyone hyped up. And I think by the time we hit August, you have You'll have A.J. Brown the locker room, and it'll be one of those โ€“ this is going to be โ€“ this is my prediction. This is going to be one of those classic New England versus everyone years that we haven't seen in a long time. Everyone's going to rally behind Grable, like him or not. Everyone's going to rally behind A.J. Brown and Drake May.
00:23:24
Speaker
And the Patriots are going to run it back. We're going to see another MVP year, Typhon Drake May. And the Patriots are going to surprise a a lot of people, especially after they get A.J. Brown. You just watch the psychology of the team. they They're going to go from everyone thinks they're dead in the water with the Ravel thing to rallying the troops and complete domination. i mean I can see the route from here, okay?
00:23:48
Speaker
i think um I think we can all โ€“ You know, I know everyone has the pipe dream that you re-sign Diggs to put them with Brown and Dobbs. And, like, that feels, again, like, that would be incredible. I think the room would be wild. i don't see it happening. But, like, man, that would be โ€“ if you want to talk fantasy football, man, like, that would be dope, right? Yeah.
00:24:08
Speaker
Like top three, you know, again, talk about a good room with the top three of. I say, why not? yeah It's like, why not? What is the reason? yeah okay Why not? It's right. You've already seen digs in the locker room with the Patriots. He's, he's familiar.
00:24:21
Speaker
He knows all these guys. I think you, I think you won't have the year of like everyone being divas. I think you'll have a year of the rallying the troops for the Superbowl. AJ Brown wants to prove to people that he wants to win a Superbowl.
00:24:33
Speaker
Diggs wants to do the same thing. So I'm for it, man. Here's a comment by Tay, T-A-E. This is how do you all think Dobbs will fit in with AJ and Kyle Williams? So, all right. So just, again, like try to be real on here. You know, again, I was talking to Bryson before this and he saying when you put something in a text, it can come across โ€“ wrong in a lot of ways where people can interpret it in different ways get really mad blah blah i just want to be clear that like i don't know what's happening with kyle williams i don't know what type of player kyle williams is going to be i hope kyle williams develops to do a good player i don't know no one knows this is the funny part like you can hope for the guy that he's going to keep developing and be a good piece he's really fast i'm I think that's great. Maybe they find a place in the slot for him. Awesome. Love it.
00:25:24
Speaker
I don't know what's going happen with that. Especially if you clog the room up where you have at least, you know, again, if you have a J Brown and Dobbs and Matt Collins, those are three big body players that they want on the field a lot, period. Like that's who they want on the field. Kyle Williams,
00:25:41
Speaker
I hope can turn into that athletic burner type player. And maybe you can get him a little bit more in the slot and maybe he can be productive and and get a rapport with Drake. I just, we just have to figure out like

Hunter Henry's Future with Patriots

00:25:53
Speaker
how he, how he develops this, this mold kind of where he fits.
00:25:57
Speaker
And I feel like he needs to know where he is more. He wasn't seeing the field a lot at the end of the year. So again, like that's my issues Kyle Williams is just, I don't know where it's going yet. ah How do you feel about Kyle Williams at this point? Bryson?
00:26:11
Speaker
Well, I like Kyle Williams, and but at the middle of the year, or maybe even before that, i we were talking about this. know if we were talking about this or someone else and I were talking about this, and I said, it's not going to happen this year for Kyle Williams.
00:26:25
Speaker
The reason is because โ€“ He's running the wrong routes. He's in the wrong places. Drake doesn't trust him. You saw this all year long, right? Drake, a lot of times, wouldn't even look his way. And this this is the story in camp.
00:26:36
Speaker
And Kyle Williams is not a bad player. You see his get off at the line. You see how fast he is. You see what he can do. It's just about putting it all together, right? And I think we're going to find out very fast in camp if he is putting it all together. Because, you know, back to the development part, this is not about, like, skill or speed for Kyle Williams. It's purely about โ€“ fitting in with Drake in the offense, right? Knowing where to be, knowing where to go, Drake trusting him to be where he's supposed to be. And if everything happens like that, I think you could you could easily rotate him and out of the lineup and be very happy with that. Like Bill Belichick talked about this with Randy Moss. so ah One of the ways you unlock Randy Moss is simply by putting him in the slot. You have A.J. Brown. You have Dubs on the outside who can also go inside. All those guys can go inside. They're interchangeable like that. So I would really โ€“ it would be awesome. Nothing would make me happier because if he is โ€“ if his head is on straight and he knows where to be and Drake really does trust him, you've got to watch for this in camp early or otherwise it's not going to happen, right? If you see Drake throwing balls to Kyle Williams all the time, it's going to be a different offense. Like if they can't unlock him, yes, correct. It will be different. I'm just not like 100% confident that will happen, although I do like the player your skills, right?
00:27:46
Speaker
Yeah. I mean, his โ€“ as they like to call it, release package โ€“ which I think is a term that I don't know how long I've heard that term for. It feels like a couple of years. Everyone now talks about their release package, but Kyle Williams has a great release package. He's got great get off. He can separate. There's a lot to like there about the player, but Bryson's right. I mean, all of a sudden Allison halfway through the year, we're like, why isn't Kyle in the right place? And every time Drake throws to him,
00:28:12
Speaker
the ball's not, you know what I mean? Like it felt like it was, it was way off you're like, what's going on here with this connection. And if the players aren't connecting versus when Drake was going to digs, you know, when you're going to digs, all sudden things look natural. They're good. Like they knew where each other needed to be. So no one said this in the comments. I just want to get your, your opinion on it, Bryson. So I threw out there probably a few weeks ago that I thought like Hunter Henry to me, again, very, very sneaky cut candidate.
00:28:41
Speaker
I don't think he's going to be cut sneaky, sneaky, sneaky. Cause like he's owed money. If you cut them, you, you, there's like no dead cap. You save like 12 million bucks and Eli Raritan, right. New draft pick is coming up to basically be his replacement. And just thought like that he could be a cap casualty, although he is a leader and will probably stay.
00:29:02
Speaker
that's another guy same with like Mike and when it was some potential along the lines to have some issues contractually. So um don't want to throw too much at you here, but how do you feel about um what you call Hunter Henry? Is there any possibility there that he ends up being a casualty or is does he just play out the year and then he's done?
00:29:19
Speaker
Whoa, you're you're talking to the right guy here because all year long, I felt like I was, you know, sometimes I feel like I'm in crazy line and you make me come back to reality and I feel great because you agree. It's like all year long I'm tweeting,
00:29:31
Speaker
And my tweets are not generally well thought out. I'm just angry and tweeting during the game anyway. and so I'm like Hunter Henry, terrible. Hunter Henry, terrible. Always in the wrong spot. Always in the wrong spot. Very similar to Kyle. all Almost, you know, and i'm I'm the guy who's like grading these Drake May games and like all of these bad plays, like most of them, genuinely Hunter Henry is involved.
00:29:52
Speaker
So it's like, Is he a bad player? No. Is he worth the money he's making? Probably not. Are they going to keep him? Probably just because he's Hunter Henry. He's an awesome guy on the team, right? So they'll probably keep her I mean, they should have already renegotiated his contract. We'd have to ask the past half genius about that by now. Yeah. Yeah, I don't think that โ€“ he's probably not going anywhere, but trust me, i don't I wouldn't mind if he did. Like, I'm not saying he's a bad player. And, yeah, okay, he has โ€“ Eli Raradon hasn't done anything. Okay, so what?
00:30:21
Speaker
Like, Hunter Henry's a tight end. You guys overrate tight ends all the time. Like, I'm telling you, A lot of Drake May's bad plays last year were simply Hunter Henry miscommunications. Just go back and look at all of them, man. You remember all the time for the ball sailing over his head or going short or he's turning the wrong way. Like, I'm the kind of guy, I'm not trusting that that's not that's that's Hunter Henry and not Drake May, right?
00:30:47
Speaker
That's all Hunter Henry. So I'm the right guy to talk to about that because I just think he's massively overrated, okay? i just think he I just think he, in the postseason, he just lost you know he just lost something. you know i mean i just thought he lost his step. He just looked.
00:31:00
Speaker
looked like he had a one nice touchdown against the chargers, but like just gave you absolutely nothing. And like, you needed him, you needed him. Like i haven't looked at his game log. I'd have to go back and look at it from the post season, but you need a lot more from him being quote unquote, one of your better weapons and veterans and and they didn't get it. So I didn't love that.
00:31:19
Speaker
um And that's why, again, I think like, it depends how Eli, right. This is like, again, we're in fucking may, this is may paths talk like post draft. This is for like, The sickos, basically. like If you're tuned in listening to Pat's talk in May, I love you. yeah Just absolute sicko. Love it. Love you. But like you know what I mean? I don't know. It's true that someone's comment says Eli Raritan hasn't done jack shit. Other than play football his entire life. You drafted him a month ago. Other than play football his entire life.
00:31:49
Speaker
Other than play football his entire life. right like We're going to know in one month or two months, whenever it is, when they put the pads on, you know quickly how good a player is going to be that year. all right So we'll all show up in the summer and we'll see if he's going to have it or not. Because I can assure you of one thing, when Hunter Henry walks out on the field, guess what? The other team is not shaking in their boots and thinking, How can we cover Hunter Henry? How can we? No, you know what they're saying? Hey, let's get our slowest linebacker so we can stop the run and put him on Hunter Henry. Who cares? He's doing nothing out here.
00:32:22
Speaker
All right? That's what they're saying. So all Eli needs to do really is just catch passes and block a little bit. You know โ€“ You don't have Aaron Hernandez or Gronk or Kelsey or any of those guys out there like that if you have Hunter Henry.
00:32:35
Speaker
You just have simply a guy that's in this match and like happens to be in the right place at the right time. That is that is nothing special about that. And if Eli Raradon can simply just catch the ball and do that, who cares? I don't care if he only has 300 yards. Because ah the Patriots are going to have this problem this year, especially if Kyle Williams are good. they don't need to They don't need to go to the well with their tight ends. They may be able just spread it out a lot of times, right?
00:32:59
Speaker
Yeah, I think so so many, again, another comment, I actually really like this comment. Julian Hill and Eli Raritan, 12 packages are going hit like crack. And like, I think you're pretty fucking right, dude. You know what i mean? Like, i think it depends, obviously, if you're playing Raritan over Hunter Henry at that point. But like, they're going to do a lot of 12.
00:33:17
Speaker
They're going to pound the rock. I say it every week. I'm going to keep saying it. They're going to run the football. This is what they want to do. They want to run the ball. period. you I mean? Like they literally, know people can disagree. know there's some comments that don't like it. Oh no, they do.
00:33:32
Speaker
But again, like they're going to run the ball. They signed Julian Hill, who nobody even knew about. Nobody in announced, you look at it and you're like, oh shit. Okay. Like he can block. Like they're going to run the football.
00:33:44
Speaker
They signed a fullback, a blocking tight end. Like they're telling you and Elijah Barry Tucker, like, they They're telling you what they want to do. Again, here, I'll put Drake Silvers up here because he's going off in the chat. Drake Silvers, not a fan of running the physical. No, he's a big fan. That's what he's saying. He's a big fan.
00:34:05
Speaker
It's so true, man. They are actually going to run the ball. And guess what? Guess what else they're going do? going to put in fucking Mack Hollins and A.J. Brown at wide receiver, and they're going to fuck you up.
00:34:16
Speaker
That's what they're going to Like, you know, it's to smash mouth shit. As much as nobody likes that, it's not sexy. And everyone just wants to be like let's just do five wide with Drake and we'll have him run around in the backfield. That's not what they want to do. So why don't you give me your thoughts on that, Bryson?
00:34:31
Speaker
No, that's really funny because you're absolutely right. And Drake Silver's right. Great reporting as always anyway. But, yeah, i mean, you're right. And I think maybe this year they unlock a little bit more of the Drake May running package. Maybe we'll see about that. Josh McDaniels has alluded to some of that. We'll see. But this is all this is very โ€“ the Patriots offseason is hilarious to me because it it seems to be simply a response to what Josh McDaniels loves to do. So they're like they're like, okay, look, guys, when it's third and three โ€“ and we have Drake May and A.J. Brown, the thing we're not going to do is throw the ball to A.J. Brown. What we know Josh McGann is going to do is hand the ball to Ramon Drayce. So instead of getting in his way and putting him small wide receivers and guys who can't block, we are simply going to build the team that he wants and put the big fullback out there with the two big tight ends and the big wide receivers. And when it's third and three and all of us are like, here comes another halfback dive, we're going to get it. But this time we're actually going to convert it. OK, this is simply a response to Jock McDaniel's madness. All right. It's going to happen.
00:35:37
Speaker
Yeah. I mean, being serious, being completely serious last year, that one of the biggest problems with the team was that when they needed to rush for one or two yards, They literally couldn't do it. The only thing they could do extremely well in offense last year was have Drake May be generational.
00:35:55
Speaker
That's what they did because he was literally generational for the majority of the season. I know people trashed the playoffs. I understand. But he had an excellent, excellent regular season.
00:36:07
Speaker
He was excellent. And so โ€“ Yes, I think they want to take some load off of Drake. I think they want to be able to run for one yard. They want they want to be able to run for two yards. You have I don't mind it, i mean but especially because you know that's what they're going to do. right so You might as well just maximize what you're going to do. The other thing that that reminds me of you saying that was just so funny because they were so bad at that, there were Patriots fans like screaming about how, like, Drake May just simply needs a quarterback draw better, like quarterback sneak better. And, like, I i just all year was like, he's just not good at it. You just look at him and you can tell he's not good. He's not Tom Brady's. There's a reason why Tom Brady's a historical outlier with the quarterback sneak. Drake May just not good at it, all right? So let's just take the fullback. Let's put Savage Boston at it tight end, all right? We've got LB at fullback. We're going smash the other team, and we are running for three yards of carry. And we're going to win because we are delusional.
00:37:01
Speaker
I mean, honestly, they are going actually run. run their through Seriously, they're going to do it, and it's going to be funny. je I'm and actually going to like it, to be honest. It's going to be literally every third and three they're going run. Milton Williams, double fullback packages with Milton Williams. I love that. I love that.
00:37:16
Speaker
Bring it in. Someone's comment said, because we haven't really touched on this a lot at all, but how are feeling about the defense? Sad we couldn't re-sign Tonga. This is from B. It just says B. like that, man. Sad we couldn't re-sign Tonga, super underrated player.

Patriots' Defensive Concerns

00:37:30
Speaker
True. I don't i think that was a that was a misstep. And someone had the report, and I don't remember who it was, but โ€“ it was eyeopening where they, I think might've been Mark Daniels, but they, they tried to sign Tonga before the post-season and they didn't want to, they didn't get it done. They were like on the doorstep. They didn't get the deal done. Post-season happens. Tonga, his agents like, Hey, you can get more and he leaves. And unfortunately like good, good for Tonga. He got the money he wanted. I think he's with the chiefs maybe, but um he got the money he wanted and it, and it's our loss. I think he was a great,
00:38:05
Speaker
You know, he was a great defensive tackle interior D tackle and clearly someone that ah you want on your team, but unfortunately took the money. So I think as far as your top line D tackle town Milton Williams and you know Christian Barmore.
00:38:21
Speaker
um Those are those are stud players love those two. um I'm still like skeptical about the edge rolls. I don't know. um dr You know, Akis is Yakis, Akis. Like, he's a rookie. Let's see. You know, I like Akis. Let's see. And Draymond Jones at the other edge. And Harold Landry is injured and getting older. So, i don't know. There's a lot there. don't you give me your initial take on how you're feeling about the D at this point, Bryson?
00:38:47
Speaker
Oh, I'm not feeling good about it, Sad. You know what? Yeah. This is going around. People are saying this. all right Listen, there was ah there is a man on X, a Patriots player.
00:38:59
Speaker
and He says, hey, everyone, follow me. I'm a Patriot. I'm like, okay, cool. but If you unfollow, I'm unfollowing too. it He follows me. I'm like, okay, cool. What up?
00:39:11
Speaker
He unfollowed me. And now people are dubbing this the curse, the patch chat curse. Corey Durden has dubbed the patch chat curse. So hereby, Corey Durden, you have three months now to follow me back, and I'll follow you back, and I'll stand you again.
00:39:26
Speaker
But that unfollow, that is really going to hurt the Patriots defense, okay? i was always i was already worried about the Patriots defense because simply year to year, it is so hard to be a good defense consistently year to year, right? And I like their defense. I love what they did last year. I hope that they can build on it.
00:39:42
Speaker
But a lot of times it simply does not work that way. And you find that, you the Patriots had a like very lucky injury year. And that's like 90% of having a good defense is simply like not having a 2013 Patriots defense where everyone is like just hurt and it's terrible and it's not good, right? So if the Patriots have good injury injury luck this year, again, which, like I said, that's going to be tough to overcome. If they can overcome the Corey Dern and Pat Shack curse, then I think they're going to be good because they do have a lot of great players that I like. They have a great secondary. They can they have good edge setters now.
00:40:16
Speaker
They'll be able to get to the rush. I love Milton Williams. They're linebackers. I'm not even so worried about Okay. They've got fast guys there. They'll be just fine. We'll see. It's probably, and here's how it's going to go. i' I'm going to predict this now. It's going to be a little ugly early, just like last year. if They're going to be slow to do things like stop the run because they're, they're going to be a little bit small, but slowly they will get back into it. and And I think they'll be okay. As long as they don't have the injuries that I talked about earlier,
00:40:43
Speaker
However, if Corey Durden doesn't follow me back, we've got problems, okay? All right, Corey, in case case you're listening, Corey. You want to win, Corey. He does follow me. so he said I didn't dub the curse. I did not dub the curse. I want the curse lifted because I love you.
00:40:56
Speaker
I can't believe you unfollowed me. I have a Corey Durden jersey. You unfollowed me? What is up with this? A comment from Ethan Lilly. Any thoughts on adding a veteran linebacker, maybe Wagner or Milano? um I think, like,
00:41:12
Speaker
wa you know wagner's wagner's wagner you know he's a legend he's ah like a hall famer but again he's kind of big and slower at this point that's probably not someone who's going to fit your role matt milano uh has been good i don't know if matt milano is just is he just got too banged up recently like he had a couple of significant injuries like is he still fast like i like i like the player he was in buffalo but you gotta feel like if buffalo is not re-signing him there there's a reason there, right? Like there's gotta to be some reason that Buffalo wouldn't want him back at this point. It'd be my assumption.
00:41:44
Speaker
So, um, yeah, but let me see here. I think people just like, i think people just like the names, you know what I mean? Like if you, This is the hard hardest part about football, man. Like you would ah you wouldn't have known about Robert Spillane, right? would have been like, who's this guy? Who's Spillane? And then you see him, you're like, oh, my God, we can't live without Robert Spillane. Like you got to trust the guys behind the room sometimes because, again, Matt Milano, if Matt Milano was like โ€“ was still up to his full speed and playing well, like wouldn't he be back in Buffalo?
00:42:18
Speaker
mean, being dead serious, wouldn't he be back in Buffalo? That would be that'd be my thought. um you have any comments on that, Bryson? I don't know if your internet is like, la you're lagging out pretty good here on the video. So I can't tell if you're here or not. um Oh, no, he dropped too. All right, cool. Well, this is like, this it i don't know, this is like my internet, everyone's internet, thunderstorms. i don't know what the hell is going on. But like, oh, I think Bryson tried to come back here.
00:42:46
Speaker
We'll see if we can get you back, Bryson. I don't know what's going on the internet. We're having a tough time today. Listen, Corey Durnan, you will not stop me, all right? You will not stop me, Corey Durnan. Follow me back. Stop doing this.
00:42:58
Speaker
He's shutting you down, man. Dude, stop. Corey, I love you. Why are you so mad at me right now? That's funny. Yeah, let me โ€“ there was more to get to I had on my list here, but we kind of โ€“ I don't want to touch on โ€“ I was going to touch on this dude calling 98.5 today, but I don't want to even give any more credit. 98.5 is โ€“ you know, that seems silly.
00:43:21
Speaker
Yeah, I think โ€“ why don't you just give me of as we wind it down, um what's your initial

Season Predictions with A.J. Brown

00:43:27
Speaker
wins prediction? Since the whole win-loss thing just came out with the schedule, what are you where are you kind of at right now?
00:43:33
Speaker
Realistic.
00:43:36
Speaker
See, I'm always kind of wrong about this. always always end up too low, and then by July end up right. But initially when you ask me, going ask me in May. I'm going to always be wrong because I'm always going to be too low. and then I'm going to see the team and know that they're going to be better. Just like last year we wrote is going to be the best Patriots offense.
00:43:53
Speaker
And years, and we kind of nailed everything throughout the year, to be honest. But in the offseason, until I see the team, I really dislike saying how many games we're going to win. But with AJ Brown on paper, this team should win 10 games, okay, at least. And that's going to be good, right? You shouldn't be upset because the haters are actually right. This is a tough schedule. And oh that all that matters really is that and And by the way, the other thing that's actually really white-pilling about this, something that's really good, is the Patriots. And here here it comes again.
00:44:27
Speaker
Here comes another schedule thing. It's the rest days thing. As soon as us all this, right? The Patriots have a lot of rest days, which does mean a lot, right? Especially in the NFL. It it probably doesn't mean as much as like the schedule itself, so it's not even going to be a comparison comparison with all the difficult opponents that the Patriots have, including A.J. Brown, back with them, and once they have A.J. Brown, i'm I'm feeling much better about that. So hopefully the Patriots can just not have significant injuries. You know, we love Deron Mayo out there with the strength and conditioning team doing his best job out there. But yeah, I think that the Patriots should win 10 games. And if I see them in the summer,
00:45:03
Speaker
and I think there's like ah there's a little bit percent of the chance that they could win like 12th or 13 games, because especially if they do that psychological rally behind A.J. Brown and variable and all this stuff.
00:45:15
Speaker
So I'm actually I'm pretty confident right now. I need to see them here in a couple months and you can watch them in person to figure out exactly how many wins are going to have. But I feel much I feel much better now than I did last year at this time. I feel much better about the team anyway.
00:45:32
Speaker
Yeah, no, i agree with that. I think I i think i have in between, you know, it's it's a cop-out, obviously, to give a range, but, like, between 10 and 12 wins, I think is fair and realistic. And I think, um you know, we're ah we're not talking enough about, like, if Drake truly, like, ascends to a consistent, like, top three quarterback in the NFL. Yeah. Like, I feel like we're all just like, yeah, Drake's good. Drake's really great. Drake was was great. But it's like, does everyone just think he's going to regress to the mean? Like, we don't think there's, you know, what if Drake is is better than good? Like, what if Drake really is like actual top tier in the NFL and this team hums? Like, you could win 13, you know what mean? And then we're like, you want to talk insufferable?
00:46:18
Speaker
Like this will get more than insufferable online. It's insufferable already. You know, it'll get it'll get crazy. So I think there's some potential there where they obviously overachieve. But if you hit that 10 wins, man, as you're saying, you should make the playoffs. That's always the goal. or Get to the least, get to the postseason at minimum. And then again, like.
00:46:40
Speaker
I think it's going a slog, dude. Like how how are the chiefs going to be people? I'm not trying to hate on my homes. He's been, um, kind of like descending the last few years, not playing super well. So I don't know how he's going to be.
00:46:51
Speaker
the Ravens don't have the same head coach, uh, burrow who the fuck knows he's always injured. Like there's just so many factors going in. It feels like it's going a slog around like nine wins, like a snooty, my guy on here, snooty, He thinks the Chiefs going to make the playoffs. He's got them underneath under like whatever nine wins. So it's it's tough, tough to know, inconsistent, but but it should be kind of like a giant group right at like nine and eight, I feel like.
00:47:20
Speaker
Yeah. And then you have the chargers who have improved massively this off season, right? You've got the Broncos. You're still going to be there. yeah bro mixs right Yeah. There's a lot of, there's a lot of solid teams there, but the Patriots are up there. No one wants to pay the Patriots either. Let's not forget that, man. This is a good, you know, people, this is a good team. This is a solid team and how they're experienced. They're going to have AJ Brown. Yeah. This team has a, this team is like, where are this, is this team really deficient at right now with AJ Brown? Like, Okay, Hunter Henry is not the greatest. Who cares? Their linebackers aren't the greatest linebackers ever. Who cares?
00:47:53
Speaker
Right? Like, they they're good at corner. Their defensive line is pretty good. their their Their tackles are probably going to be better this year, we hope. they're They've gotten better on the offensive line. Their quarterback's awesome. They have decent running backs. They had good wide receivers. Like, I like the Patriots roster. think they have one of the better ones. The fact of the matter is they just have a difficult schedule. And so people are probably going to call them frauds because they like only win 10 games or whatever it is, but this is going to be a good team.

Drake May's Potential Impact

Speaker
And no one wants to play the Patriots. No one wants to play the Patriots. And imagine your, but imagine this year when Buffalo comes to town, like they don't want it. They don't want to do that. No one wants to do that.
00:48:31
Speaker
No, no, I don't think, I think the Patriots are going to be a team that everybody fears a little bit more, honestly. And I think, know I think they can go into like Kansas City and win an Arrowhead at night. I think that would be sick. I think they can win week one against the Seahawks. i know I'm not even just saying that. I think week one's fucking wacky. and I know the Seattle's a great team, but I think it's it's it's a wacky week. like you know You don't fucking know. um All I can tell you is I can't wait to go to a ton of games. so Savage, we need this from you. You know what we need from you? I've already tried. It hasn't worked. it hasn't work We need this from you. right there you know Did you watch Dragon Ball Z, Savage?
00:49:06
Speaker
I have, yeah. I've watched a plenty of Dragon Ball Z. Okay. So the most talented character in Dragon Ball Z is actually not Goku, it's Gohan, okay? Gohan always shows, I write about this, Gohan is showing the secret potential within him. He's got his latent potential, sure. In order but to unlock that, he it's anger, right? it's It's like the failures and all this stuff. And I kind of wrote about this and after the Super Bowl. Is this, was the Super Bowl what we needed to see to like, because you can see it in Drake, if you're a Drake May fan.
00:49:39
Speaker
He is awesome. he's one of the most He has a great arm. He's fast. He's quick. He's smart. He's well thought out. like he's He's a great quarterback already. okay The only problem that I have with Drake May is you don't see that snap.
00:49:53
Speaker
Like that Broncos game, whenever Drake is taking the ball and gets the first sound of screaming, that was awesome. When you see that a little bit of motion out of him, I just wonder, and it did kind of bum me out. I'm a Drake May fan all the way, right?
00:50:05
Speaker
and But it did kind of bum me out that he just like left and wasn't around for like a month or whatever. And maybe that's okay for him, and that's fine. But I really wanted to see like completely locked in Drake May this year. And I'm really hoping, and maybe it's going to require some of us to โ€“ maybe we've got to โ€“ Neg him a little bit. Maybe we've got to dig into Drake. Too much positive press. We need angry Drake. We need him to break the potential. We need him to be the Gohan, right? We need him to unlock it all.
00:50:34
Speaker
It's like Herbert has this problem, too. Herbert's one of those talented quarterbacks, if not the most. He's a little bit more stout than Drake, and he seems to have that issue, too. We need... break to unlock everything so savage every day what i want you to do at 8 p.m every night is tweet at drake may and say you stink you'll be nothing you're every everything you you're terrible and i'll do it too with you i'll retweet you and then finally he'll be all right that's enough him and cory durden will get it they'll he'll be mad at me drake will be mad at you and then the patreon will win the super bowl and that'll be just fine but am i wrong about this no no i hear you i completely hear you i think uh you know maybe the whole
00:51:12
Speaker
You know, Tom Brady's Goku and Drake May's Gohan analogy, I think could could work in some fashion. i think I could share some, some Gohan videos. I think I watched that back in the day. You know, I don't know how long that was ago when it would air on Toonami or whatever, you know, I'm, I'm an, I'm an onc on here as the kids might say. um But yeah, man, I, yeah I think Drake, I think Drake has that gear. i don't know. I'm hopeful, man. I think he's got that gear and I think he's got that in him.
00:51:39
Speaker
I know he's got that like cool demeanor, you know, the cool, north carolina demeanor but i think he's got that got that dog in him man i think he's really good talk to people close to drake man unleash it yeah i i hear you man i think honestly like he's that guy and i'm really hopeful i think like he said dude it takes a long time for these guys to master this offense especially with with mcdaniels it's not like something you master in one second you know like It takes a while to โ€“ and, I mean, how many years did it take Brady to keep developing his own mastery of playing football and offense until he quite literally, like, is in his early 40s and he truly was a master. Like, he understood every piece of what he was doing.
00:52:22

It takes a long fucking time. So, anyway, well, I'll wrap it here. Do you have any more final thoughts, Bryson? You want to get out before we let you go? I just appreciate you having me on, man. It's always fun to talk ball here. And as always, you know, we're all we're all standing, our handsome, well, best dancing ever, King ever, Caleb Lemo. So that is that is our guy right now, okay?
