Speaker: All right, we're here with, uh, this is Jeff with the call for, we're on for the flow radio. It's here to interview interview the, uh, lifelong surf bomb snorkel bomb, uh, bum bum.
Speaker: Seth Womble on. You get most will be gone. Yeah. And you're not even from.
Speaker: So charless you're, you're from where bums are Uranus. I'm pretty sure Florida. Oh, no. I spent a little time there. No, I was, you escaped Florida.
Speaker: Uh, bum. Yeah. Still, still bummed.
Speaker: So What's your goal for this year besides actually foiling for at least an hour a day? Well, I got to take some baby steps. That was the goal for last year.
Speaker: Now it's just see if I can get in once a week, maybe. What? Yeah. I mean, foiling or working?
Speaker: Foiling, bro. like Once a week of foiling? That's, that's, I mean, yeah. who Who needs more than that? Apparently okay all I want to do is work. I got this great cubicle and fluorescent lights and just, I did notice your attire is slightly different. What mean? This is what I wear to the beach all the time. I'm very, very serious. This is, this is foiling, you know, is a past. Are you allowed to put foils up in your cubicle?
Speaker: No, man, it doesn't match. Hmm. Yeah, no, they would need to be gray and neutral earth tones. Okay. With dead plants printed on them. Dead plants. Yeah.
Speaker: I don't understand the dead plant motif. Me either. to I'll put you in touch with the management. How many foils would you say you've broken in the last year?
Speaker: Define broken.
Speaker: Or... Let's include ones that you gave me that you thought weren't broken.
Speaker: Wait, just in one year?
Speaker: There's a couple. but This was an easy year for you then. This was a good year. Yeah. Yeah. i broke more my first year, I think. Yeah.
Speaker: And that's when I went around all the foil companies before I knew anybody and they didn't know me. And I was asking questions like, do your foils break? they and their response didn't like that too much nobody wants to admit that their foils there was one stripey company that that said i was doing it wrong didn't one company actually admit that their foils do break occasionally oh yeah no some of the ones with integrity did which don't name any names
Speaker: How did the tree bend the bent tree? Yes. It was an anomaly.
Speaker: Have you seen this anomaly more than once? The only, only one. Yeah. Where was this tree? It was at water goes. See, I knew it had to be like a, what will be gone. Water goes, what will be gongs and wumbles. And was there a billabong?
Speaker: That's that's a good question. watering hole. It must've been one. Okay.
Speaker: What was your biggest foil mistake?
Speaker: Learning.
Speaker: I don't want to do anything else. And now everything else is a mistake. Foiling is the only truth. Did you injure yourself or injure anything else last year?
Speaker: Foiling.
Speaker: I feel like I shouldn't have to think so hard this. That was a long pause. The chicken thing was the year before, right? The chicken thing. Yeah. I stepped in a hole.
Speaker: I wasn't foiling. but It was just walking. It affected your foiling yeah greatly. I, uh, let's see. No, no. It was a great year. I only get hurt at work or just walking through parks.
Speaker: Foiling is actually the safest thing you could do. Very healthy. For you. It's been the safest thing to do. Yeah. That's great. Yeah.
Speaker: All right. Got to ask a semi-serious question. What gear are you riding?
Speaker: We talked about this. I don't ride anymore. Once a week, you put together, you at least reassemble a foil with the intention of going. Okay.
Speaker: All right. Which one you intend to ride, whether or not it happens? All right. My all-time favorite foil setup, current. is this Onyx 830 Stingray, which is a ah medium aspect on the lower end of the medium aspect, kind of a bomber jet looking shape that is real curvy, real fast, real stable at speed.
Speaker: doesn't have a lot of glide, but it is so surfy. You don't need glide. Not when you've only got 15 minutes a week. All that glide just adds to that time on the water. either That's right. That's not actually riding if you're gliding. Yeah.
Speaker: It's just gliding. Well, I'm looking forward to trying this one out. It's a new. That is the most pronounced mustache I've seen.
Speaker: Now, if you could actually shape your stash in that shape, I think they would hire you immediately. as the spokes model for this foil for the Albatross, something to consider. I'm not saying go ahead and jump on it, but at least consider it. It sounded like a vote in the bring back weird beard Wednesdays.
Speaker: I can't even grow anything on the side. So just get so itchy when it's long. All right. You want to, should we, uh,
Speaker: This has been Between Two Foils. Over it. This is ridiculous.
Speaker: Tune in.
