Even though I have a mental illness I need to understand that your behavior is my own.
I have had to learn to be humble. Had to learn to apologize to my children, to humble myself in front of my children, to be vulnerable in front of my children.
And that in turn allows me to be vulnerable to people outside of my house, to people that I wrong, to people that I treat poorly in a moment of deep anxiety or deep depression or deep anger.
To me, it is one of the best ways I've had to keep moving forward. Own my mistakes, understand that I did the wrong thing, admit that I did the wrong thing and try to do better next time.
