Speaker: All right, welcome back. Speaker: All right, my birth story. Let's dive into it. So 10 months ago, I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl, Juliana. I still can't believe she's literally 10 months old. But anyways, so I had this big grand plan of how I wanted my birth to go. I had plans for a natural birth. I had plans to labor at home for a long time. I had a doula. I had been planning for birth for literally months. I think I planned for birth more than I planned for the actual baby to come.

Speaker: That's the story for another day. ah And so she's two weeks late. And at that point, the doctor was like, we need to induce labor, which no longer technically makes it a natural birth, which was soul crushing for me because again, I had this vision of having this beautiful natural labor. But I just went along with it. And I'm going to save like all of the birth details out of the story because this isn't a birth podcast. This isn't just a podcast for women. So I'm going to save a lot of the details for maybe another episode. and but So we end up in the hospital. We're two weeks late, and they start this induction. And the reason why I didn't want an induction is because I know that once you start the cascade of interventions with medication, with Pitocin, with epidural, it starts to slow down labor.

Speaker: So it's not what I wanted. But I was getting a lot of pushback from my doctors. And I think at that point, because she was two weeks late, intuitively, I knew that if I waited a few more days, she probably would just would have came naturally and she would have been fine. But there was a lot of fear coming from the doctors that was creating a lot of fear for myself and my husband that something could happen to the baby if she didn't come out. So essentially, I just I went in for the induction, even though it's not what I wanted. It wasn't what I planned.

Speaker: but i had been told by many women who have been through this before that things don't go as planned when you give birth and really what matters at the end of the day is that your child comes healthy right so i gave birth naturally for about 14 hours so we get to the hospital and i ended up starting to go into labor naturally. So I didn't need all of the Pitocin. I didn't need all of the medication that would kickstart a birth if you weren't in labor yet. ah So I start going into labor. I birthed naturally for about 14 hours. And then I got extremely exhausted, and I didn't sleep the night before. I was totally drained from birthing. And you know the decision came that I ended up getting the epidural.

Speaker: It felt right at the time. I don't think I regret it at this point because it did help me in a lot of ways during that period, but I got the epidural. And as a result of getting the epidural, it slowed down my labor. I was progressing extremely well before I got the epidural. and When I got the epidural, everything slowed down.

Speaker: It's quite literally researched that once you get an epidural, it can slow labor down. So it slowed my labor down. And we were at literally the 36th hour of labor at this point. And they're doing Pitocin, they're doing all of these different medications to push labor along. And at that point, you know, I had this big ah natural labor planned but at that point I was kind of like, whatever, I'm in this hospital. I'm kind of just following whatever they tell me at this point, which I will do things a lot differently in the next birth when I have another child someday. But that again, story for another day. But anyways, so I'm you know in labor, they're doing all the checks, they're doing all the things that I honestly kind of felt like they shouldn't have been doing. you know We all know that when you do constant cervical checks, you have you run the risk of getting an infection.

Speaker: and That ended up happening to me. I got an infection from all of the cervical checks and being in labor so long. and I then had to get put on more medication, ah antibiotics, again, doctors, medicine. I love it all. it's There's a purpose for it when needed, but I do lean more on the the holistic side. but Of course, you're in the hospital, you need medicine. I'm going to take it. right so Then we're on medication and the baby's just not moving. She's just not coming down and we figure out that she's actually sunny side up. So at that point the doctors came in and they're like, hey, like you've been in labor for 36 hours at this point. ah You have an infection.

Speaker: It's not really progressing. We are going to recommend that you get a C -section. And so I looked at my husband and I said, this is not how it's going to go. And again, if you need to get a C -section, that's fine. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. There's a purpose for them when they're needed. But I just knew it wasn't my path. I knew I was meant to literally push my child out and hold her in my arms in the way that I envisioned it happening. So I had this vision and and I held the vision. A lot of the vision went away, but I wasn't letting go of this vision.

Speaker: right so I looked at my husband and I said, we're going to wait a little bit longer and we're going to see how things go. so I contact my doula and she's like, do spinning babies exercises. I'm like, okay, we're going to try it. The nurses didn't seem too positive about the spinning babies exercises actually working, but I think the nurse just did them with me because she was like, let's try to help her. Let's just make her happy here.

Speaker: So we did the spinning babies exercises, which if you're not familiar with them, just google them. There's some exercises you can do while you're in birth to help change the positioning of of the baby. So we did spinning babies exercises and after we did them, I had put full trust in this working. I envisioned myself giving birth. I envisioned myself going into labor. Again, doctors and nurses are like this girl's getting a C -section.

Speaker: They were not too positive about the fact that I hadn't made much progress yet. My husband and I are just sitting there. We're watching Netflix. We're watching Suits. They're just hanging out. All of a sudden, I'm like, I feel this pressure. Again, I'm not going to go into too much information here because I know a lot of men listen to this podcast and watch these videos. I start feeling this Big pressure and I'm like and I tell the nurse and she's like oh that sometimes you just feel that from contractions and again This is me trusting my subconscious holding this vision of how I wanted the rest of that labor to go it all got ripped away from me But I took it back in that moment when I heard them say c -section. I said nope

Speaker: And that actually rained me back in and got me deeply into my subconscious. After we did the spinning babies exercises, I was full blown in subconscious visualization. I was visualizing it working. I trusted it worked. I knew it worked. It was just a matter of time. So then all of a sudden, my husband and I are just sitting there watching Suits on Netflix, and I feel this pressure.

Speaker: And I tell the nurse, I'm like, I feel something. Again, I'm not going to go into too much detail because I know a lot of men watch this podcast and listen to it. But I feel this pressure. And she's like, Oh, no, you know, it's sometimes you just feel that it's contractions. And I'm like, No. And again, they they didn't think I was having the baby like they didn't think i was giving birth in that room they thought i was going in for a c -section so i had to literally tell her to go get the doctor and come in there and the doctor comes in and she looks at me she checks and she's like my friend you are 10 centimeters dilated i'm like it's time she's like it's time and then the baby came out juliana came out and literally five minutes it was like a few pushes and she was out she was born into the world and i truly believe that if i did not have

Speaker: The belief that I had, the programming that I had in my subconscious mind, really holding that vision, closing my eyes, going into a state of hypnosis while I was in labor, things may not have gone that way. Which again, if I had to have a C -section, that's totally fine as well. But that wasn't the labor that I wanted, right? And it's okay if things have to go differently. But that's not what I had wanted that day. And I held that vision. I held that vision. I held that vision.

Speaker: And then that vision came true. And it's because I didn't let go of that vision. It's because I literally planted that vision into my subconscious and I did not give up on it. So that's just an example, a story from my life on how everything went wrong. But then by using the power of my subconscious mind, I was actually able to claim my reality back in that moment and say, no, this is not how the story is going to end.

Speaker: I'm going to push my child out. I'm going to feel myself give birth and I'm going to hold her right here, right now." And it happened within five minutes. Even the doctors were like, we've never seen a first time mom give birth this quickly. It it happened so fast. the The doctor was stunned. She was like, we've we actually had three people in the room because it happened so fast. They didn't even you know get a lot of nurses or anything in there. Usually when you see labor rooms, there's like 10 people in the room. There was a doctor and a nurse.

Speaker: And my husband, he had to help. My husband had to help with the doctors because there was it just happened so quickly. And again, I truly believe it's because of the belief I had in myself and my subconscious mind. And so anything in your life that feels like it's slipping away from you, in that moment I started to feel like my labor was slipping away from me and that it was out of my control, which again, in a way it was. And it was slipping away from me.

Speaker: You can take your power back very quickly by accessing your subconscious mind, which is exactly what I did in that labor room. I had the belief in myself. My husband believed in me as well, even though he was scared to death, but he believed that we could do this, and we did. So anything that feels like it's starting to slip away from you, you can claim it back very quickly through the power of your subconscious. Never let anyone tell you differently, not the people you think are smarter than you like doctors, not the experts. You know what's best for you.

Speaker: and I'm not saying don't take advice from doctors when you need to, okay? If they told me that my daughter was in risk or if we went further and further and further and I needed a c -section, I would have said take me in, right? Because at the end of the day, my daughter's health and my health was what was most important. But you can claim your reality. You can take charge of your reality at any moment.

Speaker: And you can do this through the power of your subconscious mind by holding a vision of exactly what it is that you want and how you want it to go and trusting yourself and trusting the process. So whatever it is, is whether you're giving birth or you're working on a goal, whatever.

Speaker: You can claim your reality back when you feel it slipping away. And that's why I wanted to share this story on here. And I hope it empowers you to realize that no matter what is going on in your life, no matter what the circumstances, you can claim your power back over it very quickly by claiming the power of your subconscious mind.

Speaker: So if you want to start tapping into the power of your subconscious mind, it is a practice and process that gets easier and easier with repetition. I had been doing hypnobirthing, which is a form of hypnosis for birthing mothers and pregnant women. So I had been doing hypnobirthing, hypnosis audios for my whole entire pregnancy. So I have been doing hypnosis every single day and also I'm a certified hypnotherapist. so i can tap into my subconscious mind very quickly. And the way it works with your subconscious is the more you tap into it, the easier it is to drop into it. The faster you're going to be able to drop into it. And because I had been doing hypnobirthing, audio recordings every single day leading up to birth, it was very easy for me to just drop into that state while I was in labor.

Speaker: So it may not be as easy for you to just drop into that state wherever you are if you're not currently doing some level of subconscious work, which is why I highly recommend that you start utilizing the Rewired Sessions.
