Speaker: have dementia. i don't know who the you are. um But we're waiting for Kaz to show up. We just want to say thank you so very much to all our loyal supporters, listeners, everyone.
Speaker: And here he is. I'm here. Sorry. Oh, my fucking God. I could not find my fucking hat, dude. I'm so sorry about that. No, you're good, man. Can't not have a hat. Gotta go and represent, man. Gotta represent.
Speaker: Eh, looks okay. yeah I like that. There we we're better. So, Kaz. Yes. We got to ask you some of the hard questions tonight. I mean, don't worry, though. It'll be gentle. Don't make me cry. Eye-to-eye contact, boy.
Speaker: first of all, tell us who you are.
Speaker: first of all tell us who you are
Speaker: All right. Well, my name is Kazan. you have A lot of people just call me Kaz. I am a horror game Twitch streamer. um
Speaker: Born and raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, now living in Indianapolis. i try to play whatever I can and just try to go and hang out with as many people as I can.
Speaker: And what started the whole getting into Twitch for you? Like, was it just a spontaneous thing or was it like a long drawn out plan?
Speaker: um It was a ah actually COVID. um I went and I bought my first computer and I built it myself. And then i was watching people on Twitch and Spooky Loops, um which is a Dead by Daylight streamer, a very good streamer. um actually asked him if it was even a good idea to go and stream and he was like my main inspiration whenever it came to streaming and you know i just felt like i believe i can go and do that i can go make friends i can be somewhat funny sometimes i guess and enjoy just hanging out with people and i'm like you know what i got the computer it i'm already playing the game so why not
Speaker: so cas yeah I have probably the most important question of the night here. I'm not ready to answer
Speaker: What is your dog's name that keeps bombing your screen? His name is Snickers. Come here Bubba. Come here Come on.
Speaker: It's going to be on YouTube. Come here. This is Snickers. He my puppy. Okay, I'll stop bothering you now. I'm sorry.
Speaker: That poor dog. Yeah. I told you, it was the most important question. The most important question. can get my cats, too. i have two of them. They hate it even worse.
Speaker: He'll endure it. Can we just ah can can we just say First time we saw the guest asshole on the show. Yeah. Guest asshole. I take it. I am an asshole sometimes. Most of the time. No.
Speaker: Oh, I mean, when we play DVD and you allow me to just scream my fucking lungs out. Yes. Then you are an asshole. Well, then I'm an asshole like 90% of the time. Hey, it's content. As we all say, it's content.
Speaker: I... I remember when I got into Twitch streaming, um our mutual friend Dalton was kind of like, hey, you know, ah what I heard you you do a podcast. and And this was when I originally did the podcast by myself before it became the Certified Jarvis podcast.
Speaker: But he's like, he wanted to get into podcasting. And then he was like, well, what do you think about Twitch streaming? And I was kind of like, Well, i I tried it on my own once, and I was like, I i didn't have the wherewithal of how to do it.
Speaker: So then it was kind of just like, well, what the fuck am I going how am I going do this? And then, of course, Dalton brought in more people, and then it just kind of spiraled after that. And lot of, like...
Speaker: Like, you're not ready to do it.
Speaker: We need to have him back on Twitch because about his shit is the funniest. For sure. Like, playing DBD with him was, oh my god. it Us playing DBD together was like one of my favorite times as a streamer.
Speaker: I love it. I love it. Only to be ruined by some people, but you know, okay it's always fun streaming with you and your wife. And like, I've told Alyssa, I'm like, once she gets her gaming PC, she better stream with us. because Oh, for sure. and know one thing that I'll go and say about to anybody that is like looking forward to streaming and wanting to stream or have any type of thing of like, oh, I think I could be, or I might want to try it. Do it.
Speaker: um It is very fun whenever you're going and you're doing the stuff that you want to. I know there's going be like technical difficulties and stuff might not go your way or you might think that there's nothing to do. it It's all about you and how you want to get stuff done and how you feel like you want to be. And that's it.
Speaker: If anybody else wants to go and say something or do something else, who cares? It's your stuff. It's your stream. Do what you want to go and do that makes you happy. And if people are wanting to be around, which most people do, they find people interesting, you'll find them.
Speaker: So definitely, I think that everyone should at least, if they feel like they want to stream, they should definitely try it at least. Oh, definitely. I mean, I got into streaming just because as we all deal with certain issues in our life, for me, it was just a way to be more out there you know like even with this podcast like so many people would look at it and be like oh well you're probably doing it for money no oh no i'm doing it because i love it like i love everyone and so many people have asked me this from when we were all with dalton's thing
Speaker: um They're like, did you ever find it that you didn't love it anymore? And I'm like, the only reason I stopped was because i was sick and tired of people literally watching my live. And then two seconds later, they're live.
Speaker: Yeah. and That's a lot of what people don't see, but I mean, you got, sometimes you have to go and take that into consideration of like, they see you doing it, so they want to go and do it, and it's mostly, you should take it as like a flattery type of thing, to be honest.
Speaker: I know it doesn't feel that way, and it fucking sucks, don't get me wrong, everyone hates that type of feeling, but if you think about it, it's just like, wow, damn, my friend is streaming, I want to go and stream, it really sucks that they did it when you were streaming, but Well, and the the person would never do it when anyone else was doing it.
Speaker: It was always when I was doing it. Yeah. And so, like, I called the person out on it one time, and I was just like, dude, like, if you want to stream with me, just ask. Like, I have no problem streaming with you. Like, that's why a lot of people didn't want to stream with that guy because of him just going into their streams and being like, oh, I have this game. Let me play with you. And, like, I remember he did that to Chaotic.
Speaker: one time and chaotic the whole time was just like what am I supposed to say like and I was in that stream I was just like i was typing in the chat like yep right on cue you know it's I always felt bad for chaotic in that situation because it's like you don't want to be a dick No, you don't want to go and be a dick, but you got to go and stand your ground where you need to go and stand your ground. That's the one one of the main things about streaming. You got to go and make sure that you feel that you're in your safe spot. It's not anyone else's safe spot. So, I mean, if...
Speaker: Depends on what you feel is the right thing to do. Like my, what I do when stuff like that happens earlier, because I mean, we know the same exact person that we're talking about, but I mean, there's a whole bunch of those types of people that just want to go and, Oh, they're streaming. So I want to go and take their viewers it.
Speaker: It's rather you go and you take major offense to it or you go and you're like, you know what, they're going to do what they're going to do. They're going to be doing it for a little bit and then afterwards they're not going to have anything. So, I mean, it's rather you nip it in the butt or they're going nip themselves in the butt because they can't be you.
Speaker: needed Being you, being the almost ah thought authentic you is better to go and do than try to steal somebody else's thunder. Well, and and that was the thing. Like, I, when Dalton had, Dalton was watching a couple of times and would like, be like, hey, is everything okay between you and this person? I'm like, honestly, no.
Speaker: I said, you know, I understand it. I said, you know, the guy can't create his own audience. So it's like, oh, hey, Steven or Jarvis has got 12 people in there.
Speaker: I know those 12 people. I can take six away from them And it's just like, at that point, it's like, dude, I'm trying to build something. Like, I couldn't, I told the person, I'm like, dude, I'm sorry that I got affiliate within a month.
Speaker: And that it took you almost two months and having Dalton play for you to get that. Like, that was never my intention to get affiliate.
Speaker: Like I, you can even ask my wife. Like I was like, okay, I'm going start streaming. I'm just going to have fun. i don't care about affiliation. I don't care about partner. If it happens, it happens. Cool.
Speaker: But I just want to create a community. I want to you know, game with some amazing people. And the that was the thing that I think a lot of us got into it for, but you can definitely tell when some people got that money or got that,
Speaker: you know a little bit too much in their head that ego oh for sure of them went good a lot of them went by and you know um it's sad because some of them were really good a lot of people were definitely good especially when we were doing our thing with the stream titans back in the day yeah we went and we had a good amount of people it's just some people take it for granted man and i mean that's what it is so i mean it That's what sucks the most is because i used to go and be a person that would go and help everybody. I wanted to go and make sure everyone got affiliated. and Like if you were going to get something, I wanted to make sure everyone had the same thing that I did. And I'm still that way whenever it comes to streaming. I'm always, oh, you like this? I'll show you exactly how to go and set it up. And this is how you can go and do it.
Speaker: Make it your Don't make it your own. It's whatever you guys feel. But people take stuff for granted and it really sucks. It really does. But yeah. I mean, that I've went and spaced myself so many times and helped so many people get to affiliate back in the day. And it was draining. It was just like everyone kept taking advantage. Oh, I want help here. I want help there. And then afterwards, I would never see them in my chat whenever I was streaming back in the day.
Speaker: And then
Speaker: I quit. I quit for like a good amount of time for a year or so. And then I was like, you know what? I got the computer. Let me go ahead and do it again. Yeah. And I'm like, I'm going to focus this time. I'm going focus so just on myself.
Speaker: Then I got my wife into it, which is star quality. um she Now she's doing amazing, and I've helped her, and she's been doing all of her own stuff too. She's been taken into it and doing as well as she can. So also, go if you haven't, check her out as well. She's really cool. um But no, for sure. It's like you have to focus on yourself nowadays, and that's what sucks. is like We want to be able to help as many people as possible, but a lot of people take advantage of it.
Speaker: Oh, definitely, 100%. I mean, hit the nail on the head, dude. like And that's why, like... I remember in one of my streams, I had a person say, you know, hey, if you follow me, I'll follow you. And I kind of went off.
Speaker: I was like, it doesn't work. It doesn't work. It really doesn't. You feel like it works once you go and you hit the affiliate and you're like, yeah, dude, like I fucking I got 1000 followers now because i went and I followed people and they followed me back. But how many people are actually watching? How many people actually want to hang out with you?
Speaker: And Alyssa can attest to this. I told the person I'm like, okay why did you get into streaming? And they're like, in the chat, they're like, well, I got into it because this, this, and this. I'm like, get rid of all that.
Speaker: I said, honestly, if you're not in this because you love this, then good the fucking door is right there. And like Alyssa was hearing me get like pissed because it's just like, they're like, well, I just asked for a follow. I'm like, okay, if you have something worth following, I'll follow it.
Speaker: But don't come into other people's streams expecting a follow, and then they follow you, and you don't follow them back. That's my problem with that. Yeah, there's one โ whenever it comes to, like โ I'm talking to anybody that is coming into somebody's chat for streamer etiquette. You don't want to go and promote yourself. That that is not okay. If you go and you promote yourself in somebody's stream, that's not okay. But if I go and I say, like, hey โ Jarvis comes into my stream and I'm just like, oh yeah, everyone please go and follow Jarvis. And that's what a lot of streamers do. So yeah there's a way to go and do it and there's a way not to go and do it. If you go and you're just like, oh, follow me and come see me. Nobody wants that person.
Speaker: That just seems like a greedy. But if they are with most, how most people are, especially me in my other case, I'm shouting out everybody that comes in my chat because... that's what i want to do i want to make sure everybody knows see that they are being seen not everyone does it bigger streamers definitely don't do it you get a band in five seconds if they go and see something like that but it's just like yeah i mean it's learning how to go and do the streamer etiquette nobody knows how to do that anymore and i believe that a lot of people would really um
Speaker: need to know. Like, some things are okay. Like, if you go and you raid somebody, yeah, talk about yourself. You raided the person, get the people to know you, they want to go and know you, they're gonna shout you out anyways.
Speaker: But just coming into somebody and saying, oh, follow me because I followed you. but Automatic ban in my book. Automatic ban in my book. out That's just me. But yeah, no. that It just seems like you're greedy and it that's not okay. yeah don't Don't be greedy.
Speaker: Nobody here wants to go and be that type of guy. Like, oh yeah, follow me, bitch. youre Like, no, no, no.
Speaker: So Kaz, I have a question. I have answers. When was the very first moment that you had where you realized that...
Speaker: people who are actually enjoying your streams? um
Speaker: That's a very, very weird question because there's some days and I feel like everyone comes in and they're like, yeah, like you see the currents of people coming in. Like I see Jarvis all the time and I'm like, oh, look, that fuck faces in. And then I'm like, oh, is these like people keep coming in. But um I think my very first moment that I was as actually when I got my first follow off of ah when I first started streaming, my very first follow that wasn't a family member.
Speaker: You know, like when you're first getting to the affiliate state so you can go and have all the cool what's its and whatevers with channel points and being able to get subs and everything else, but actually getting, you want people to watch. So you go in like, oh, uncle, watch me. Oh, wife, watch me. Oh, anybody that is in my family, watch me for that little bit of time because I need three three average viewers at the time.
Speaker: But getting your first follow and then that one person keep coming back and coming back and coming back and actually talking and wondering like, oh yeah, this is actually a lot more fun than just playing a game and Just wondering if is anyone gonna go and say anything or is anyone gonna stay around?
Speaker: So it was my very first follow. Back then they were called Wicket. um And i was playing the most weird game. I can't, it was... um like a version of Monster Hunter, but it wasn't Monster Hunter. I can't remember what it was called. And just randomly one day, they're just like, hey, I'm going to follow him because he was playing a cool game and I like his vibe.
Speaker: That was the reason was like, you know, this is something I want to do. And then finding out these people keep coming back. Like i like Viking, he goess and he comes back in and he it's just like we he never left. like It just feels good when people come back.
Speaker: And I feel that's what makes it a lot better is when you know that person's coming back, not just because you're playing a game that they like, it's that they like the way that you talk, the way that you make fun of the way that you are bad at a game and they can make fun of you.
Speaker: I mean, it's just whatever it is that that makes them come back and it feels good. That's the last one. If I answered that properly, I don't. I jambled on a lot. And if you guys joined the stream, I jambled no matter what. So, sorry. You're Like, we we appreciate you being our very first guest. like Like you said, you know, when you get that first follow, I mean, when I got my first follow, of course it was fucking Dalton. Yeah, it changes everything. It yeah it did. it like...
Speaker: i i had no sense of like dude i'm gonna be affiliate within a month i had no sense that i'm like i'm gonna see what's gonna fucking happen and i was playing fortnight out like every fortite starting streamer plays fortnight like oh my god if elissa does then i'm gonna be like there you go there's the next fortnight Yeah, it's Fortnite. A lot of people go and they start off. It's a lot of the bigger games. So don't feel like just because it is a big game. Don't feel like it is, oh, too many people streaming there.
Speaker: A lot of people stream it, but not a lot of people are like you. So, yeah try try it. Try it, try it, try it. Don't feel scared that there's... and Yeah.
Speaker: I mean, you're fine. and Everything's good. But, yeah, no, Fortnite's definitely... That's where I started. It was Dead by Daylight and Fortnite. And I'm still playing Dead by Daylight. and And I still play Fortnite. So, I mean, those are the two games that... good If in doubt, play it. If you like playing the game, play it.
Speaker: i I mean, i I would just end up being dead every five seconds. It don't matter. It doesn't it don't matter. i mean, have you. can You can start a kill you could start a kill count. Be like, how many times can I die in one stream? Let's see. Alyssa, like, you want to see, like, me when I had the most fun.
Speaker: I don't know if it's still on there, but when me and Koala were literally kill for kill. Like, Koala would call out a kill.
Speaker: I would call out a kill. Like, you gotta watch that stream. that That was one of the streams I was telling you about, Alyssa, when you were camping with your family that time. It should still be up there. Oh my god, that was funny. Koala's like, eight kills! I'm like, I got eight kills!
Speaker: Let's fucking go! So, speaking of funny streams... Kaz, what is the funniest thing of all your streams that has happened?
Speaker: Okay, so there is um kind of two two things that I go and I find the most funniest things that I have ever done or that I've been a part of in my stream.
Speaker: One of them was in my subathon. And it was my very first subathon. I was doing so much crazy shit. I tried the world's hottest sc gummy bear. I tried the world's hottest chip. But I remember the one time we got to, I don't remember the exact amount of subs that it was, but it was koala hitting me in the face.
Speaker: So she got a massive slap. She slaps me across the face. And then everyone says that was too weak. Do it again. Kind of need to see the stream again. So it is in a clip.
Speaker: It's in a clip. Go watch it before I go and take it down. is it Because after this, I'm taking it down. After this, I'm taking it down because I'm not going to have people watching me get slapped in the face. But that is one of them. And then another time that was the funniest is we were doing a drinking stream and we were it was me and Koala. We were doing It Takes Two.
Speaker: God. oh god salty dalti which is dalton um is named salty dalti and my lovely koala decided it was like salty dalti do you even like pepper or and is saying something of the uh like i'm sober as a four-leaf clover
Speaker: It was cracking me up. That's also going to be taken down after this, by the way. it's Oh, dude, I still have my wife hitting me in the face with a fucking pie. Yeah, that happened. That happened, too. That's also the clip. know what, Dalton, where we are, fuck you, Dalton.
Speaker: Because I was like, if we get to 50 subscribers, I'm like, I'll do a pie stream. And next thing you know, Dalton's like,
Speaker: I heard my name called and all a sudden I'm looking at the subscriber comments like, fuck. It's like, I know this is only going to be for a month because he's buying the subs, but I'm like, oh God, what am I doing? Yeah. And actually we're actually, i am planning on doing podcast.
Speaker: Not a sub goal. There's not really much of a sub thon, but we're doing a sub goal. If I reach a hundred subs, I'm going to have to go and get a maid outfit and wear it on stream. Yes. Oh boy. Yes. Oh God, dude. I will do that with you.
Speaker: I- I- yeah, so that- that is in the works. There might be some other things also added in there. We don't know yet. I'm still working on some shit, but that is the number one thing. People wanted to see me in a dress or go full drag or go and be in a maid outfit, and chat will be able to go and, uh, vote on that whenever that time comes.
Speaker: If that ever comes. Oh, fuck yes. I- oh my god. that better come. ah I know, I look amazing already, and just imagine me in a maid outfit.
Speaker: You gotta have the feather duster too. The feather duster, and not only the feather duster, but the... It's not a garter that maids wear, is it? like there's a art Are you talking like the fishnet leggings? Yes!
Speaker: And you gotta shave my legs, fucker. Oh, no. No shaving. I did a waxing back back whenever we were doing the sub-a-thon, and no, I'm good. You know what? My hair will stay. It's all good. and Everybody likes the hair anyway, so it doesn't matter. i will. ah turn I got to get back into streaming, which I got to hit you up on these days so I can set up my stream elements so I can. Oh, yeah. what time that and If it's not me, then it's Koala. So we we could definitely. Yeah, either one of you.
Speaker: Because i you guys have gotten, and you can even ask Alyssa, like, I want to get back into streaming. Like, Halloween is going to probably be the one that I will stream the most out of.
Speaker: Yeah, it's coming. It's coming. I also went and I just, ah one of my ah good friends in stream the yesterday, actually, went and got me a carnival hunt. So that's going to also be up in the...
Speaker: in the games that we're be going going to be playing lately, which is another scary horror type game. I fucking hate that game. That game was crazy. and We went and I was able to go and alpha test not alpha test it, beta test it. yeah So be on the lookout that we're going to be playing some new new shit. Sweet. talking of games, what is a game that you think is just totally overhyped?
Speaker: overhyped yes call of duty
Speaker: i can see lot don't get me wrong i'll go and be the one go and say i i will definitely be one of the people if i have the money to go and get the call of duty not gonna lie but it's all it's call of duty it's the same shit and every year fucking year but you know what They're doing it right because everyone still buys that shit. They they change it up just enough. Just enough. Buy this $500 Nicki Minaj skin where it will actually twerk in your face. All the goons out there.
Speaker: Bye. Give me that. Wait, honey, what do you mean you're going to divorce me if I spend our last $500? Worth it. it.
Speaker: And now that we've talked about an overhyped game, what's a game that you think is underhyped? Underhyped.
Speaker: a Give me one second. going to have to go and look. I know I've got all the tricky questions. I've got all the quick questions. I would I'm going to have to go and say an oldie but always a good one Age of Empire. Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. I always find myself wanting like a nice and relaxing type of game and Age of Empire just does it for me. Back in the day, kids, Age of Empire was the only game you could fucking play on a computer.
Speaker: Yeah. Just so you know. Well, I mean, there there there was Doom. There was Doom, and there was Pinball, and all the dial-up Internet of World and Warcraft, and all that fun shit. But you know what?
Speaker: age of empire and uh what was it starcraft starcraft yep and all those old things yeah i was part of it monster truck madness microsoft's monster truck madness in 1995 my god i played the shit of that game dial up internet They don't know what the fuck they don't even know what dial-up. Overload every time I hear that fucking startup sound for
Speaker: a dial-up. 20 later. Get off the phone! Get off the internet! Damn little sons of bitches, I gotta make a phone call.
Speaker: No, Dad, you said you were done calling for the night. I think the first game that I had ever played on computer was probably like the old-fashioned pinball.
Speaker: Yeah, that's that was one of the first ones. and ah I was a little younger, so we didn't really play much, but it was a Cartoon Network whenever Cartoon Network was an actual thing. We would play the games on Cartoon Network.
Speaker: Courage the Cowardly Dog. Courage the Cowardly Dog, Kids Next Door. some oh that ed Ed and Eddie even had a fucking game back then. early Back in the early 2000s, that shit was unmatched.
Speaker: The 2000s were where it was at. I wish I could go back to the two thousand I wish I could skip one part of the 2000s. Just skip 2001. Yeah, 2001, we could go and skip. I'll skip 2001. Skip 1999 as well.
Speaker: Even though I was in kindergarten at that time, just skip it. We can't skip 1999. That's when Koala was born. I was going to say same because my brother was born. so Can't do that one. Damn.
Speaker: Sorry. You got to live with that. Sorry.
Speaker: But yeah, like it is so cool how gaming has evolved. Granted, I i never got into the whole console wars bullshit like every ever basement dweller is where it's like oh if you play PC you're you're automatically trash or oh if you play Xbox then you know your PC Master Race by the way yeah easy there easy not PC Master Race I can play every game that you guys are trying to play and more so he and it's better and it looks better on PC too exactly so so what is your very first console that you started off with
Speaker: Does that include handheld? Yeah. Gameboard Color. Really? Gameboard Color was my very first. I bought it myself. Nice. um I was about six or seven, and i won a lotto ticket that my mom gave me for about $200. And because won and mom...
Speaker: um and because i won it and my mom gave it to me, so it was mine. She cashed it in and I got my first Game Boy Color and got ah Pokemon Red.
Speaker: Yep, Fire Red. Nope, Pokemon Red. Fire Red is for the advanced. yeah Fuck that game. Fuck the advanced. But yeah, no. first First ever game was Pokemon. I think Pokemon, and I'm still a Pokemon fanatic.
Speaker: What about console? Very first console that I ever got was the and Nintendo 64. Solid. Fucking horror stories. Just getting that console.
Speaker: Yeah, Nintendo 64 and the very first game that I played on it was 007. Yes! Yes! Yep, Goldeneye was my very first game. Then it was Pokemon Stadium and Pokemon Stadium 2.
Speaker: yeah Mario Kart all day long. We got into Mario Kart, then Mario Party, and then Bomberman. Oh my gosh, I loved Bomberman. That was my shit. Oh my gosh.
Speaker: I would would kill myself all the time because I didn't know where to go and place it because I was too young to understand that the bomb would go and hurt me. Shit. This can't hurt me. well Yeah, this is my bomb. Oh, dang. Oh, wow. I lost a life. That's great. Fuck. Dude, though, no ah anyone that never grew up with Goldeneye for the N64,
Speaker: does not understand that was call of duty before call of duty that was call of duty before call of duty that and the uh the what was it it was um the toy were you the toy soldiers they would all different colors army men army men that was a good ass game so it was those two that started the call of duty reign yep I wish ah if army men, if you Sony, Xbox, any of you fuckers buy that, buy that IP because 3DO is gone.
Speaker: That company went bankrupt a long time ago. Any of them fuckers buy that. I will buy a PlayStation. If, if Sony makes it, I will buy a fucking PlayStation.
Speaker: Don't,
Speaker: Hold this against me, but I believe they do have an Army Man game on Steam. I think they do too, yeah. I think they But it's not i' not like the one of the originals. I don't know if it's one of the originals. I don't know anything really much about it, but I believe I have seen some type of Army Man when you are like a toy soldier.
Speaker: Like, those games were... Back in the day. So, I have been looking at it, but I'm not exactly sure, and I haven't bought it, so don't... You've learned to hate the Tan Army. Everyone hated the Tans.
Speaker: The Tans, and then the fucking... I think it was, like, the blue or the reds in later games that were supposed to be... Because the Tans were the Germans. And I think it was, like, the blue or the red was...
Speaker: the Japanese red was Japanese yeah blue was um think it was England and then the green was the good guys yeah something like that I'm not Sarge was my it's been Sarge was the best Sarge was the best but you know what go ahead Alyssa no go ahead you were go I think, you know, if we ever have Kaz and Koala over to our house when we get our forever home, dar to the like ah me and him are going
Speaker: like Get ready to lose. You guys, you lose on Dead by Daylight all the time. Get ready to lose. Easy there. Okay. You know, so many times people say, oh, you lose at Dead by Daylight.
Speaker: you know Oh, you lose in Fortnite too, buddy. we've went oh Already I went and i've gotten destroyed you in our kill count. Don't don't forget that now. Don't forget our kill count. Scoreboard! Scoreboard! I fucking suck, but when when I lock in, that's when it's a different story.
Speaker: yeah yeah i get that like we were getting railroaded the at the beginning of that stream and then all of a sudden just we just clicked it was you koala who else was in it me and then another person that joined and we just went to fucking town I think we would won five straight games if we would have kept doing it, but at that point it was just like, let's get off this game. It was. It was like, oh, we won too many times. We don't want to we don't want to jinx it now. Yeah, it's it's getting a little bit... It's getting a little, um as we say in the biz, a little too chaotic right
Speaker: We need to switch to a different game. And then Kaz and Koala go to DBD, they They took a little bit of break to go walk the dog, and I was like, I was waiting for him to come back, and i'm like, you know what? I'm going to go to bed.
Speaker: i had to get up just to go get Alyssa the next day, so I was just like, I'm like, I'm going to bed. The old Had the stream on all night. I fell asleep listening to the stream because, you know, Kaz got that soothing, sexy voice. Oh, yeah, baby. Dude, like, our streams together are going to be fucking... People are going to go like, yeah, I could see why they're friends now.
Speaker: No, I don't see it.
Speaker: Koala's going to be like, stop trying to steal my husband to play Halloween. Woman, you will play Halloween with us.
Speaker: so yeah The old cliche of every gamer has their go-to snack. What is yours?
Speaker: Are we talking like pregame snack or are we talking about like snack snack while eating while you're playing? lock in snack lock in snack It has to be something sweet.
Speaker: I don't really have like a major like, oh, I have to have this to go and lock in. But it has to be something sweet. So we've been like M&M's is always a good choice. We've been eating a lot of the dot cinnamon sugar pretzels. So I get my salt and sweet in there. But it has to be something sweet. I don't I don't know why.
Speaker: But whenever I'm like, OK, I need to go and have some type of sugar to go and be like, OK, it's time. and We need to go and actually win this. So sugar, not good for my blood pressure, but sugar.
Speaker: which Next colleague thing we know, next thing we know, he's going to have a bowl of sugar that he's eating by the spoonfuls. We'll do it. Holiday cookies was my go-to.
Speaker: Like i would go. yeah The sugar cookies? knew Well, any kind of them, like the peanut butter, the sugar. Got it. The, uh, The M&M's ones.
Speaker: Chocolate chip. Like me and my buddy Brad Hewan when I used to live in Wisconsin growing up. it was like he'd come over and we'd play Mortal Kombat Shaolin Monks.
Speaker: Yeah, okay. And always make fun of Luke Kane because he sounded like a flying squirrel whenever he did the bicycle kick. You're right. And so my mom would literally give us a $20 bill each time he came over. i hung out with him and we'd always, they're like, mom would be like, what are you guys going to do? And it's like, we're fucking gaming, but first we got to go do something. And we went to holiday, we'd buy like, we'd buy it the bottles of pop as well.
Speaker: And it's just like, we'd come back, give mom whatever leftover change was, and just be up there just making fucking the weird, like...
Speaker: the amount of times my friend Brad used to say, like, dude, why why wasn't streaming big then? Or getting started then? because The thing is, a lot of times it was getting there. It's just that we haven't, now didn't have the money or didn't have the right thing to go and do it. It wasn't even very popular either. And that's what, YouTube didn't come out until, like,
Speaker: 2005? Something like that. Something like that. I know like Google didn't come out until like 2004, 2003. And it was like that. You know, ah looking back on like everything that you've done, I've done.
Speaker: I do miss streaming a lot. Granted, I just got back into podcasting, which a lot of people were betting that was never going to happen. I mean, hell, there's a network out there that literally said, oh, if Jarvis ever went back to podcasting, we'd all quit. and Evidently, I still haven't done it. Have they quit?
Speaker: No. They should have. They need to go and say to their words. Quit. yeah Quit. You're done. out of here. Well, and like, you know, so many people would ask me all the time, like, when are you getting back into it? And it's like, it just didn't feel right at the time.
Speaker: like i Sometimes you need that. Sometimes you need to go and have that. I mean, that that's even with streaming. yeah Sometimes you just need that break. It's just not the right time at that moment to go and be doing what you're doing. And that's okay.
Speaker: But if you really have a passion for it, do it. Like I even told this, I'm like, should I keep the the channel I've already built or should I start over again? oh i've I've thought about that many a times.
Speaker: I've thought about it so many times of like, you know, should I keep going as Kazan? Should I keep doing what I'm doing? Should revamp things? Should I do this?
Speaker: It happens to everybody. Yeah. And it's just like... it it Because sometimes it just feels old and it sometimes doesn't feel like you. And you're like, does it still feel like me? Like, if I changed my name now, would I still feel like that's me?
Speaker: Like, I had that conversation with Koala not too long ago. i was just like, should I go and I keep this? Should I keep everything as, like, volcano-wise? Should I go and keep everything, like Or should I change it? Should I make it? Because I'm i'm like, I'm really into cults. It's not like in a cult, but I like the cult feeling. And it's just like, I want to go and hold people against their will and let them go and follow me. Like, that seems like something I would do. But I'm i'm keeping the lava pool stuff and keeping everything there. is such He's fucking Deadpool if you really think about it.
Speaker: Follow me or else you die. Yeah, follow me. or you That's it. I mean, you just you heard my new follow message now. So, by the way, come follow me and hear that new follow message.
Speaker: Oh, please. your His follow one would be follow me or I'll grape you. Probably. is so He said it to me multiple times. So talking of your name.
Speaker: How did Kazan end up being? I was waiting for this one. I was. Okay, so but but back in the day when COVID was a thing, my brother came to go and live with me for like two to three weeks.
Speaker: My brother, which is my younger brother, um we he wanted to stream before I did. And he was like, oh I'm going to stream. I need a name. Oh, you should stream with me because if you stream with me, we could go and do like a duo stream and would be the brothers. And I was just like, so what are we going to do? What is this going to do? And we're like, well, let's think about this. And then he went and he was looking up, we were looking up um catastrophes of the world.
Speaker: And we're like, okay, tsunami. um We were thinking tornado. We were thinking um hurricane and all this other things about catastrophes because that's what it is. We're fucking fucking people up and or getting fucked. So it's one of those two. So no matter what, we were something was happening. um So he picked...
Speaker: um Tsunami. And I was just like, well, Tsunami just doesn't sound right. You're not just going to say Tsunami Gaming. That doesn't sound cool. So we were like, what would be sounding cool? So we started looking up different languages.
Speaker: And Japanese was something I was into because I'm and into anime and all that other fun stuff. So was like, let's try Japanese. Let's see what it says in Japanese. And it was Kaio.
Speaker: I might be saying that wrong, but close enough so tsunami was kayo and i'm just like okay so what if i was streaming what would i do what's the opposite of water what what what would i'm like land what happens on land tornado and no and i'm like you know what about a volcano so we went and we looked up what it was and it was kazan and i was like you know what that sounds cool as shit And then afterwards, I have a story to go and tell everybody. Whenever they're asking me, how'd you get your name? And i'm like, well, Kazan means volcano in Japanese, bitches. like
Speaker: And yeah, so that that's where the name came from. It was that we were young, dumb, and we were like, you know what? Catastrophes and Japanese. Sounds great.
Speaker: Yeah. And it stuck with me since then, because before um I started out as the main one, and that didn't wasn't really nice. I didn't like that one very much. So yeah, Kazan Gaming is what it was. And yes, it's Kazan Gaming, because Twitch was a dick and wouldn't let me put a G at the end.
Speaker: So fuck you, Twitch. No joking. don't don't Don't ban me. this is But yeah, wouldn't let me go and do that. But it is Kazan Gaming. But it's Kazan Gaming, because Twitch was a bitch.
Speaker: Well, I mean, so is the person that handled your merchandise because, you know, I still haven't fucking got my hat. me at Me and Kaz literally wrote messages to those people saying, this is the real address. No, this is your address. They thought I lived in fucking Kentucky.
Speaker: and I don't know, dude. Like, there's no such thing as a Winstead, Kentucky. I'm like, I live in Winstead, Minnesota. I will send you a bill with my name on it. No, no, no. We know you live in Kentucky. I was like, oh,
Speaker: I'm like, you motherfuckers. Yeah, and they never got back to me at all. But... It's probably because i went and I messed messed up and did that. So it was my money anyways from everything. so You're good.
Speaker: It was my fault, most likely. ah I'm dyslexic. It happens. You're good. um But I think before we wrap things up, we got a little we got a little surprise for you, Kaz.
Speaker: little A little bit of a bend over and let me show you where the wild goose goes there, sweetheart. no I love it Alyssa, would you like to announce the very first ever certified trivia?
Speaker: Yes. Oh, fuck you guys. Oh, fuck you guys. Oh, fuck no. I hate trivia. all this works is I'm going to be pitting up Kazan against Steven.
