JohhnyCAGE: Hello, you are listening to the all-new Anti-Fanboy Podcast for the week of June the 1st, 2026. Summer has officially started. don't know about you, but ah that's it.
JohhnyCAGE: June's it. June's the month. I'm like, it's unless you're in Australia and it's cold there, or whatever the heck's going on over there. To me, we're starting. It's time to go the beach.
JohhnyCAGE: Time to hike up your pants, get that tan on the inner thigh. Get ready, baby. My name, Devin Kopech. perpetually pale, perpetually pasty, also perpetually pasty.
JohhnyCAGE: One, Chris Galanti.
IGOTTADUMP: I got a tan, all right?
JohhnyCAGE: I know. I'm trying to just, yeah, it is working them fields, my guy.
IGOTTADUMP: I got a farmer's tan.
IGOTTADUMP: I got a little garden I'm growing, all right?
JohhnyCAGE: ah Yes, actually, i had I had to admit to a a ah dog park friend today that i was like, um a lot of my friends are in that phase where they want to get into gardening.
JohhnyCAGE: And I don't know. I live in this city. I can't. I can't.
IGOTTADUMP: You could always you do some hydroponics.
JohhnyCAGE: manly
IGOTTADUMP: Ow,
Steve-O: That's a weed thing. That's a weed thing.
IGOTTADUMP: Ow, baby! You could also grow tomatoes.
JohhnyCAGE: But fellow, fellow, not gardener, at least as far as I know, Steve Oteri.
IGOTTADUMP: Hydroponics.
Steve-O: Actually untrue.
JohhnyCAGE: Don't you fucking dare, dude.
Steve-O: Currently, this week,
IGOTTADUMP: Well.
JohhnyCAGE: You son of a bitch. What happened?
IGOTTADUMP: Welly, welly, welly, welly, welly.
Steve-O: this this week, ah the lady and I, we got a little planter box and we planted some basil.
IGOTTADUMP: Hey, that's how it starts.
JohhnyCAGE: Some basil.
Steve-O: Some basil, so.
IGOTTADUMP: thats I got i got i like i have some Bazaal in my garden, too.
JohhnyCAGE: didnt I think I think basil, I think basil is like baby's first gardening because like.
Steve-O: That's really
JohhnyCAGE: My mom started when my mom started creating, she she got to a point where she had a well, she got to a point where she was like getting a pretty respectable garden going.
Steve-O: creating life.
JohhnyCAGE: But her first thing was basil.
Steve-O: Mm-hmm.
JohhnyCAGE: That was like the first thing that she planted.
Steve-O: I'm telling you, it's a gateway. It's a gateway plan.
IGOTTADUMP: It is.
Steve-O: Think about it this way. You can go up to any Italian guy and just be like, yeah, just think about it.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: We can put it on all of our pasta. It'd be fresh basil. Like, come on.
IGOTTADUMP: It's also, you're halfway, you're a third of the way to a Caprizi. And you know what I'm going to you right now?
Steve-O: yo
IGOTTADUMP: You're going to be sitting there with the basil and you're going to be like, you know, go with this basil. A little bit of tomato. You get your tomato plant going.
Steve-O: A little plant going.
JohhnyCAGE: there know
IGOTTADUMP: And you know what else you would say? he say You know, go with this tomato basil. little bit of mozzarella. So get a mozzarella plant growing out the back.
Steve-O: Look at that. the And by the end of the week, you're running an olive garden and Poughkeepsie.
JohhnyCAGE: um well Hold on. i think I think I'm – I kind of phased out of that conversation a little bit because I was thinking about what I wanted to say.
IGOTTADUMP: Devin?
JohhnyCAGE: And then I came back in you saying, playing a mozzarella plant. And I was like, I don't know a lot, but I know that's not right.
IGOTTADUMP: that thing You got a lot to learn, bro.
Steve-O: yeah
IGOTTADUMP: You got a lot.
Steve-O: I'm glad that you, you admitted that this podcast is just how people play D and D to you. Where they're like, I just wait for my turn to say something.
JohhnyCAGE: but
Steve-O: And then I go into the other room and I get a Capri sun.
JohhnyCAGE: Well, no, because I was thinking about, I made I was going to tell a story about how I'm on, I'm on God time right now because exactly.
IGOTTADUMP: That sounds about right.
Steve-O: What does that mean? Are you dying?
JohhnyCAGE: I was trying to figure out what I was going to say. And then Chris is like, Oh, you make a mozzarella plant. And I was like, well, now I'm, now I can't focus.
Steve-O: ah
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: I was going to say make a little balsamic vinaigrette plant too.
Steve-O: Oh, hold on.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: i have to play this since Devin's officially about to announce that he is on God time.
JohhnyCAGE: Thank you. Thank you. Uh, I threw in, so, you know, every once in a while, you just want, you just want to eat some trash.
IGOTTADUMP: Is it death? I think it just means turning into a god.
JohhnyCAGE: Right. And, uh, the other day i went to Walmart and I bought so one pack, $1.15, one pack of Kraft Macroining cheese.
JohhnyCAGE: And today i was like, you know what?
IGOTTADUMP: Mm-mm.
JohhnyCAGE: i I took a nap today. It's been real. got a real busy schedule, you guys. But I took a little nap and I woke up and I was starving. And I fired up this little box of macaroni and cheese, Kraft macaroni.
Steve-O: Can I ask a more important question?
JohhnyCAGE: But of course, I'm not done.
Steve-O: Is that the only thing you bought at Walmart?
JohhnyCAGE: No, no. But it was just I bought just comically, comically.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, man, that's so depressing.
Steve-O: Okay. Oh, that was scary, right? Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, no, no.
IGOTTADUMP: I had that image, too.
JohhnyCAGE: There was real food. There was real food involved.
IGOTTADUMP: who
JohhnyCAGE: Just one. yeah things are tight. Things are pretty tight. You know, we're making it.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh.
JohhnyCAGE: We're working it. It's working, though. um
IGOTTADUMP: Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: No, no. But I was like, you know, I got to sauce this up a little bit. And I looked in my fridge, and I had one ball of burrata that is was three days past expiration.
IGOTTADUMP: Ooh.
JohhnyCAGE: So on the line.
IGOTTADUMP: o
JohhnyCAGE: And I say expiration three days past sell-by date.
IGOTTADUMP: I think you're okay.
JohhnyCAGE: I do think there's a difference.
IGOTTADUMP: I think you're okay.
JohhnyCAGE: I opened it. I sniffed it. passed this Took a little bite. Passed that test. So i used cut I just cut a ball of burrata. Like from like claudia like the Italian market in Philadelphia.
IGOTTADUMP: I love piranha so much, so much.
JohhnyCAGE: i just cut it. I just mixed it into my Kraft macaroni and cheese.
IGOTTADUMP: Ugh.
IGOTTADUMP: It's going to be in my coffin.
Steve-O: That sounds like a treat.
JohhnyCAGE: So when I say God time, that might be...
IGOTTADUMP: It's going to be in my coffin.
Steve-O: It's going to come in your coffin.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, I'm going to just fill my coffin with burrata.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, but I'm just saying there might be a moment where like I have to run to the the bathroom because I won't be dead.
IGOTTADUMP: Like, open burrata.
Steve-O: Or you're just getting more burrata.
JohhnyCAGE: or i Or I ascend to Godhood.
IGOTTADUMP: I'm going to be real with you. That much cheese? I think you you bound yourself up pretty well.
JohhnyCAGE: I mean, it's is it real cheese, though? Like the Brani? Yes.
IGOTTADUMP: That is true.
JohhnyCAGE: The Kraft powder.
IGOTTADUMP: That's a good point. Yeah, and like all the butter. That's oily as shit.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, you're right.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, dude.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, that's a good point.
JohhnyCAGE: So...
Steve-O: It's like the, um what's his name from Watchmen?
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, no.
Steve-O: Rorschach.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: I would say that Burrata is the Rorschach of food in your stomach.
IGOTTADUMP: It's like holding back the the riot, or is it...
Steve-O: You're not in here with me. I'm stuck. it No, it's the opposite of that.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, that's what I mean.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, shoot. Um,
IGOTTADUMP: like
JohhnyCAGE: ohda yeah
IGOTTADUMP: If anything...
Steve-O: I'm stuck in here with you. Oh, no.
IGOTTADUMP: he's like He's like the prison warden and he's like holding back a riot.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: but you if i the
IGOTTADUMP: The burrata.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah
IGOTTADUMP: The people are breaking down his doors.
JohhnyCAGE: um
Steve-O: Mmm, hodor.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't know, I guess. Burrata is like a weird thing because it can so quickly kind of be gross, though.
IGOTTADUMP: He's holding the door.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, well, it has to be very cold. like i can't I don't really like it when it's on like hot things. like Maybe toast, but I like it just like straight cold.
JohhnyCAGE: Dude, I'll say this.
IGOTTADUMP: It's fine.
JohhnyCAGE: made burrata. I made grilled cheese with burrata. That was outstanding.
IGOTTADUMP: Okay. Okay. all right.
JohhnyCAGE: grant You're using.
IGOTTADUMP: i I trust you in that regard with burrata.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah yeah Oh, yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: It's delicious.
JohhnyCAGE: But it's just because you cut it and then it's like that. But it's delicious.
IGOTTADUMP: part of the fun, dog.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. ah Anyway, we were talking about new metal earlier. um
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, no, please.
JohhnyCAGE: And it just reminded me.
IGOTTADUMP: no
JohhnyCAGE: of well
IGOTTADUMP: The burrata boys, they sung that one song.
Steve-O: The only side in me Barada Chiz.
JohhnyCAGE: young Yeah. yeah um
IGOTTADUMP: Oh.
JohhnyCAGE: Nobody reminded me of I finished I finished Devil May Cry season and two.
Steve-O: Mmm.
JohhnyCAGE: Last night.
IGOTTADUMP: Interesting.
JohhnyCAGE: Uh, dude, still really good. Still a fucking kid. Like that season one is like nice and surprising because it's way better than ah it had any right to be in my opinion. Um, dude, season two is just as good.
JohhnyCAGE: Um, very Virgil heavy. You know, it's, it's kind of like I was watching this season and, I'm like, if they, if Capcom were to just like remake devil may cry, the first one,
JohhnyCAGE: but go, oh, let's like we're actually try plot line this time. like This is, I think, what would happen. um Mundus is a way bigger deal as opposed to just like the guy. There's no weird... like I say... Nilo Angelo, a.k.a. Virgil in Devil May Cry 1, is the Han of Fast and Furious franchise.
IGOTTADUMP: Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: Because he like dies... But then the plot's like, oh, we could do so many things. So then they just kind of throw the the timeline in chaos just because they want to use virtual because he's fucking cool.
JohhnyCAGE: um So there is that. But music choice, there's one big L. There's no more. The Limp Bizkit intro is no longer there.
Steve-O: Oh, boo.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh.
JohhnyCAGE: um
IGOTTADUMP: Jesus.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, so that listen, that's ah objective L. I'm not going to pretend like it's not there um now, but dude, like that shows something i've like nothing notable.
IGOTTADUMP: what is it What is it replaced with?
IGOTTADUMP: They lost the rights.
JohhnyCAGE: But there's there's like episode, it's like the penultimate episode or something. it's like right where the guy gets the thing and he becomes the big demon, you know? And then it's like a piano rendition. And it's like, something takes a part of me. And I was like, oh my God, this is so sick.
JohhnyCAGE: Fucking Korn starts playing. And I was like, this rules. I have a soft spot for Nu Metal, objectively.
IGOTTADUMP: We all know.
Steve-O: Yeah, it it aged.
JohhnyCAGE: No, no, no, no. It's not we all know. It's we all do too, guys.
Steve-O: It aged. um I don't know if it aged gracefully, but it.
JohhnyCAGE: Don't cough.
JohhnyCAGE: Are you telling me Freak and Elise didn't age gracefully?
Steve-O: No, I'm saying I'm saying that, like, I look back, I think I'm a little bit.
JohhnyCAGE: New metal?
Steve-O: I think I'm a little bit more like fond of new metal. Because like it didn't like overstay its welcome.
JohhnyCAGE: It was in and it was out.
IGOTTADUMP: didn't it didn't
Steve-O: it It defined its moment in time of being like.
JohhnyCAGE: Sorry, Chris.
IGOTTADUMP: Wasn't it rap for like 10 Oh, come on, then
JohhnyCAGE: Sorry.
Steve-O: Nah, I would say five years at most.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah Yeah, but like, but Chris, but Chris, jack jazz is still around and no one likes jazz.
IGOTTADUMP: Nickelback was making songs in 2010.
Steve-O: really You like jazz?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. You know, like jazz won't, jazz is a boil.
IGOTTADUMP: i i Honestly, i think of it no differently than I think of swing music in the ninety s It was a short blip on the radar of I don't give a shit.
JohhnyCAGE: my God.
Steve-O: Oh, dude.
JohhnyCAGE: Zoot, zoo, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Steve-O: Chris, hold on. I'm going to list some new metal bands and and you have to tell me which ones we get to keep and which ones you have to toss. All right.
JohhnyCAGE: Which one i or wait, wait.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh my God, really? how many do i How many faces do I have in the book?
JohhnyCAGE: Or which ones would Chris, which ones would Chris overlay?
Steve-O: I'm going to give you five spaces, Chris.
IGOTTADUMP: Five?
Steve-O: Five.
JohhnyCAGE: Which one would he keep?
IGOTTADUMP: Give me three.
JohhnyCAGE: Hold on. Which one he would keep? Which one he would throw out and which one he would overlay with the Dragon Ball Z fight video?
Steve-O: Okay. So Chris, i'm ah would you keep Korn?
IGOTTADUMP: That's fair.
IGOTTADUMP: I think, objectively speaking, Korn would have to be cut. If I'm going to keep any new metal band, that's got, yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, dude.
Steve-O: Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: I think that's Mount Rushmore. It's on there.
IGOTTADUMP: that If anything, they're probably the most proficient.
JohhnyCAGE: That fucking his dreads, dude.
Steve-O: How about Limp Bizkit?
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah. I think they also deserve a place on the boat.
Steve-O: Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: I think that's obvious.
Steve-O: Now, how you feel about Slipknot?
IGOTTADUMP: I'm going to have to drown Slipknot.
Steve-O: Okay, Slipknot doesn't make it.
JohhnyCAGE: You know, and I'll say I'll agree with you, Chris. And the reason why there's that bands like 15 people. There's too many.
IGOTTADUMP: yeah it's it's I don't even know who plays what.
JohhnyCAGE: There's not lot spots on that boat.
Steve-O: There's too many people.
IGOTTADUMP: like I have no concept.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah
IGOTTADUMP: I know of most of the musicians.
JohhnyCAGE: you know, Cory Booker, the singer.
IGOTTADUMP: Cory Booker.
Steve-O: Quicker!
JohhnyCAGE: as you think Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Yes. Yes. Yep. Cory Booker. Cory Booker.
JohhnyCAGE: Hey, what is his name? Cory Taylor. I'm sorry. cory Yeah. Well, Senator Cory Booker. Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Saturday Nightmare. He killed it.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: He's a screamo guy. But no.
JohhnyCAGE: Cory Taylor. My, but my mistake guys.
IGOTTADUMP: He's on the screamo. I'm sorry.
Steve-O: Park? Chris?
IGOTTADUMP: Linkin Park. um
JohhnyCAGE: Do the right thing, Chris. Do the right thing.
IGOTTADUMP: I technically don't. I think it is new metal, but I think it's morally more rap. So I i think it it's too it's two genres. and I don't think it really applies
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, but like Linn Biscuit's like new metal's just like rap rock.
IGOTTADUMP: I guess.
JohhnyCAGE: Like Lincoln Park.
IGOTTADUMP: I just don't think I don't have the me personally, the, the fond memories as I do with corn and Limp Bizkit.
JohhnyCAGE: this Chris, that makes you more white trash than I ever thought.
IGOTTADUMP: I know. Well, I think this is a white trash genre.
Steve-O: ah you got one more space, Chris.
JohhnyCAGE: now i know.
Steve-O: Just to move it down.
JohhnyCAGE: Whoa, they count?
IGOTTADUMP: Thank you.
Steve-O: It's just in the this list.
JohhnyCAGE: I guess so. guess they are, dude. They're good. System of Down is objectively good.
IGOTTADUMP: I'm going to pivot System of the Down over to the Dragon Ball Z compilation video on YouTube.
Steve-O: Oh, you're putting them in the Dragon Ball Z compilation boat that you also have?
JohhnyCAGE: He's
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah. I think that fits real well.
JohhnyCAGE: like... ah this I'm going to put ah this over Majin Vegeta versus Goku fight.
Steve-O: I... oh i
JohhnyCAGE: Disorder! Disorder!
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, that shit would would would fucking rock.
Steve-O: I really like Chris chris making you an argument where he's like, I think we should just get rid of new metal as a genre and replace it with Dragon Ball Z YouTube compilation music.
JohhnyCAGE: Try to build
IGOTTADUMP: I think they do go together like peanut butter and jelly. I think that's, I can't deny that.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: That's how I got in the music, dude. Fucking real player.
IGOTTADUMP: It's
JohhnyCAGE: Somebody showed me a real player of freak on a leash what yeah you got an online dude not to age myself but
IGOTTADUMP: the same aesthetics.
Steve-O: I don't think I ever watched a real player video. I think I've tried. but I don't think I ever got it to work.
IGOTTADUMP: You can probably jump on some daily motion though. you got no problem that. Right, Steve? Yeah.
Steve-O: Oh, daily emotions. Scary. Cause it's like, you're either going to watch something or you're going to watch someone die.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, that's very true.
JohhnyCAGE: were
IGOTTADUMP: That is correct.
JohhnyCAGE: i think i skipped over daily motion it was uh as was a real player and then I got into other things and then.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, Devin.
IGOTTADUMP: What was the one that started with the V? There was one. um
JohhnyCAGE: Oh shit. It's still around, right?
IGOTTADUMP: I think so.
JohhnyCAGE: BGA shirts.
IGOTTADUMP: i don't remember being an acronym.
JohhnyCAGE: It's like the objectively it's like the freeware, isn't it? That's like awesome. Any player.
IGOTTADUMP: Maybe.
Steve-O: I remember going over Devin's house and this was before YouTube and we would go on this one video site and we would just watch all the videos.
IGOTTADUMP: efus videos rotten.com
Steve-O: No, i don't think it was any of these.
IGOTTADUMP: ebombsworld okay all right well that's a whole nother whole nother ball wax that's quite a thing that was quite a thing
Steve-O: I think it was E-bomb's world adjacent.
JohhnyCAGE: Not you're the man now, dog.
Steve-O: It was like in that.
JohhnyCAGE: Not not that.
Steve-O: No, not you're the man now, dog but we dabbled. We definitely dabbled.
JohhnyCAGE: Steve, Steve, you introduced me to that. Yeah.
Steve-O: I mean, yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: VLC, is that what you're thinking of, Chris?
IGOTTADUMP: No, that is a free video player. I was actually talking about...
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah, that's what I was.
IGOTTADUMP: like I was talking about a ah different type of YouTube. And it was a...
JohhnyCAGE: Vimeo, Vimeo is a thing, but yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: if then Was it Vimeo? I think that's the Cash app.
JohhnyCAGE: Vimeo is still around.
Steve-O: vimeo ah Vimeo was very good for like videos when we were like in college because that's what we would post all of our like student films on.
IGOTTADUMP: Yes! Yes! I remember.
Steve-O: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: it was they You could upload bigger files on there.
Steve-O: Yes, you could.
JohhnyCAGE: Let's see. There's there's a Vimeo, VK, Vero, and Viber.
Steve-O: That YouTube.
JohhnyCAGE: v b e
IGOTTADUMP: Survivor.
Steve-O: You know it's interesting?
JohhnyCAGE: Viber uppercut.
Steve-O: So i got I got jury duty summoned today.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, shit.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, shit.
Steve-O: And deal keep in mind, it's been like six years because the last time I had it was like right before COVID, right before the the lockdowns.
IGOTTADUMP: Steve got those summons.
JohhnyCAGE: What'd you do?
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, oof.
Steve-O: So like I was like, how do we do this in the year 2026, the year of our Lord?
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, what are the roles?
Steve-O: And so essentially they're like, i log into the website and just like fill out a questionnaire. i was like, okay. and now the And then this is what they do now. So have you you guys have had jury duty, right?
Steve-O: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Yes.
Steve-O: You know that little video they would make you play?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: Or they would play in like the waiting room?
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, yeah, yu you watch it at home.
Steve-O: You watch it at home now, but you know how they send it to you?
IGOTTADUMP: You have to watch it at home.
Steve-O: Over Vimeo. They send you a Vimeo.
IGOTTADUMP: Holy shit.
Steve-O: Yes. never picked.
IGOTTADUMP: That's why Vigno exists.
JohhnyCAGE: Can I tell you that?
Steve-O: said they
IGOTTADUMP: Devin, you never had
JohhnyCAGE: i've i've never I've never once been picked for a jury duty.
IGOTTADUMP: i mean you never had the the honor?
Steve-O: um've never been
JohhnyCAGE: now I've always gone, and then like they were like, we didn't call your name. Or then like it got to a point where you could call the night before, and they're like, if your number's not there, you don't have to come.
IGOTTADUMP: Guys, I was picked twice.
JohhnyCAGE: And then, no no, dude, it got worse.
Steve-O: yahi
IGOTTADUMP: was on two cases.
JohhnyCAGE: Last time, last time i forgot to go
Steve-O: Oh my God.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, They're going to get you next time.
JohhnyCAGE: and then And then, listen, I'm knocking on wood here, and and maybe I'm manifesting this right now, but I was like, what hypothetically, what the fuck would happen?
IGOTTADUMP: They're going to get you next time.
JohhnyCAGE: And they're like, listen, no, they were because I'd filled out the form. Like, I did what I needed. I just totally blanked on the day. And then I was like, um yeah, like, what what do you do? And they're like, well, if you weren't going to get called, then nothing.
JohhnyCAGE: And then nothing ever happened.
IGOTTADUMP: Well, I think then
JohhnyCAGE: So I was like, I think I would have had another run of not getting my name Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: the next time you do go to jury duty, you're going to walk into it. It's going to be a dark room. You're gonna sit down and you're going to be behind the table where the defendant sits.
Steve-O: Oh, it's a surprise version.
IGOTTADUMP: You're going to be thrown into your own trial.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, that checks out.
IGOTTADUMP: ah You're going to be thrown in jail for 50 years.
JohhnyCAGE: That's fair.
IGOTTADUMP: 50 years. fifty years
JohhnyCAGE: All right.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, I was on two cases and I voted guilty.
JohhnyCAGE: Well, I think... i Yeah, one of them you told me was pretty rough.
IGOTTADUMP: Both.
Steve-O: Mm-hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: No. um Yeah, one was... a One I didn't get to vote because it was an alternate, but it was a murder case. And that was pretty brutal.
JohhnyCAGE: Were you like low-key bummed? Were you like, damn.
IGOTTADUMP: A little bit because I knew motherfucker did it. Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: ah
IGOTTADUMP: ah
JohhnyCAGE: Wait, did it did it rule in your in your favor? Okay. Oh.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, yeah. No, that guy. He was being tried on three separate murders after that one. We found out after the trial. And there was another one about a ah ah bump a little little little bump.
IGOTTADUMP: A little car hit. A little fender bender. Right?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: And like one girl was trying to get insurance money saying that she got whiplash. But like... Honestly, the crash wasn't that bad.
IGOTTADUMP: Like they showed recreations of it in court. And I think I turned a few of the jurors over to be like, no, like she didn't deserve compensation for being tapped and claiming she had whiplash. And then she brought on a chiropractor. don't know.
IGOTTADUMP: I'm not a big fan of chiropractors.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, I love him.
IGOTTADUMP: Like I do have some sort of bias against them, admittedly.
JohhnyCAGE: chris
JohhnyCAGE: you know
IGOTTADUMP: And I don't know. The guy seemed like a wacko. like he didn't seem like you
JohhnyCAGE: What did he say that that turned you off? Was he like, you know, the spine is actually an accordion.
IGOTTADUMP: It was him talking about her past injuries, which was like um she had herniated discs in her in her back, but it was in her lower back and she was claiming lip lash at the top where her neck is.
IGOTTADUMP: and And there really isn't much of a correlation there. That was what like
JohhnyCAGE: he's ah and Well, he's like, listen, you fuck up while it's all fucked.
Steve-O: bless.
IGOTTADUMP: ah Yeah, like, that's how it sounded.
JohhnyCAGE: It's all fucked up.
IGOTTADUMP: Like, it was just a domino set.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Like, it was that simple.
JohhnyCAGE: and
IGOTTADUMP: um Like, and like, another, like, the the the defendant's lawyer, or or defendant lawyer brought on a ah doctor, and he was like, yeah, that doesn't... that doesn't cause whiplash.
IGOTTADUMP: Like that wouldn't make it worse or it wouldn't affect it in any way. Cause it's not, it's not the same area of the spine and you know, just seemed more plausible. So yeah, I, I ended up kind of convincing people to be like, I was the 12 angry man.
JohhnyCAGE: So you wrote you ruined that woman's life. Thanks. Good job.
IGOTTADUMP: i was the non angry man 12. and
Steve-O: My domino spine.
JohhnyCAGE: You were juror number 13 or whatever. don't know, guys.
IGOTTADUMP: i said i I said I'll suck your dick and eat your shit to the guy who's the holdout.
JohhnyCAGE: ah Oh, yeah. Yeah. Hey, that finished. We finished that.
IGOTTADUMP: Ah, the boys. That's correct.
JohhnyCAGE: The boys finished.
IGOTTADUMP: I finished.
JohhnyCAGE: I'd say finished strong. Like.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, it was funny as fuck.
JohhnyCAGE: it a It was funny.
IGOTTADUMP: I laughed my ass off.
JohhnyCAGE: It was it was. um You know, it ended the the the comic in the show. We've said this a million times, but they've diverged pretty intensely.
JohhnyCAGE: But the ending is like they they still kind of got there. Right. the Spirit of it.
IGOTTADUMP: I had two gripes, though. i do I do have two gripes about it.
JohhnyCAGE: Mm hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: um I feel like it was a little rushed in times. Like, um there were some particular...
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, fair. We were talking about that, like.
IGOTTADUMP: i didn't really like that hallway sequence where they were trapped. Like, it felt really lazy.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: And it was, like, a cheap way to get them all.
JohhnyCAGE: A to B. like Let's just get a to B. and let's not
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, like, they were already there. They were in the tunnels. Like, it just felt like such a contrivance to keep them there.
JohhnyCAGE: who
IGOTTADUMP: So that's like, yeah, one scene I really like. And I don't like all the shoehorning in of the of the spinoff show. Like I was just completely in the dark about that.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. I only watched that first season. It wasn't half bad, but once you find out.
IGOTTADUMP: It didn't really resonate with me. And I i don't know who those people are.
JohhnyCAGE: No.
IGOTTADUMP: So it's like, don't know what's going on.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. But you listen, like it was.
IGOTTADUMP: But it was good.
JohhnyCAGE: a It was. Yeah. Homelander Homelander's fate was about exactly what you want And the fact that certain people got mad about that is exactly what I want it.
JohhnyCAGE: i was like, good. Yes. excuse Let yourself be known for the loser that you are.
IGOTTADUMP: um give I gotta give i gave shoutouts to what's his name anthony Anthony Starr.
JohhnyCAGE: Anthony Stark.
IGOTTADUMP: I think his performance of Homelander is extremely nuanced over the seasons. like He really starts off as like this angry baby.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: And then kind of transforms into like this sad, like mean, like cold person. Like, and I, I really dig that.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Like it's a, uh,
JohhnyCAGE: He's he's like and this is a rare thing, but I think he's worse than the homelander in the comic.
IGOTTADUMP: yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Actually, i he a is worse. Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah. At least the home lander to comic, he was like, At the very least, he was like a ah ah sensualist. like he and He enjoyed experiences of life, you know, like sex and shit.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, and like you know there's a whole plot point where it's like ah a whole body double that he didn't realize.
IGOTTADUMP: Right.
JohhnyCAGE: so Some of the really nasty shit he didn't actually do. He was just gaslit into thinking that he did it.
IGOTTADUMP: Right.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: this This Homelander is so far removed, like at least towards the end of the show, so far removed from being like a normal human being that he just is so sad and depressed and there's no one around him that he can relate to, at least in his mind.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
IGOTTADUMP: um
JohhnyCAGE: And i I wasn't sure what they were going to do with the Deep, but I think the decision that they made was, like, actually pretty great. Like, nope, he's just a fucking baby.
IGOTTADUMP: I love that, yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: He's just a dumb baby, and he'll never... He's not going to learn, and he deserves...
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, it will never take responsibility or he's he's just, well, he never will again.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Not saying was perfect. Definitely had some problems. But, dude, overall, like, if you if you're like, ah now that it's over, like, should I watch it?
IGOTTADUMP: it was, it you know what it was? it
JohhnyCAGE: Yes, I do think.
IGOTTADUMP: it was satisfying.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. It's a BB plus show.
IGOTTADUMP: That's, yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: You know? So, but again, what are we doing here, guys? Like, it's there's no commercials. It's a streaming service. Give yourself 30 extra minutes for a TV show, for a series finale, guys.
IGOTTADUMP: It was did feel like they... chinted That's what I mean. like It felt a little rushed.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, that's what I did. There's no need.
IGOTTADUMP: no
JohhnyCAGE: No need to rush it. what It's like one of your biggest shows, too. It's not just... I'm pretty sure if they wanted to, they could have they couldve got maybe a 90-minute episode if they really wanted.
IGOTTADUMP: I think they're just so... like They're so ready to just jump into a universe that they're like, fuck it.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: you know like This is over. well we have three other Vought shows coming out.
JohhnyCAGE: Right, yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Like it's so it's pretty soulless and, and sad, you know, cause you don't give the shows that started it like any type of grace to go out on.
JohhnyCAGE: Mm hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: Like, you're just like, fuck this.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, it's like the normal kind of like MCU DC kind of takedowns like those are like satisfying because you're like, yeah, they are fuck ups.
IGOTTADUMP: There's three more.
JohhnyCAGE: But this is like, oh, no, you guys are like actually doing the dumb thing. Like, no, like you should be making fun of that.
IGOTTADUMP: Yep.
JohhnyCAGE: You shouldn't actually be doing it.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, they're not understanding the set but the other half of the satire of the boys, which was about the media.
JohhnyCAGE: oh guys No, you know.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Well, listen, when you're when you're guaranteed basically another successful TV show, it's probably hard to say. No, I was I was thinking about an interview that um I don't even know what show it was.
JohhnyCAGE: But it had like blown up. Right. And and the writers were like. don't know what it was but it was something that like went on like it was had been over and they were talking about how it went on like two seasons too long and the guy's like yeah let's kind of want to end it like in season three like that's the story and the the producers and like the the studio was like no no it wasn't super natural but like the producers and the studios were like do you have any idea of how hard it is to have not only hit show actually i think it was lost i think it was like maybe it was lost like
IGOTTADUMP: Was this Supernatural?
IGOTTADUMP: Hmm.
JohhnyCAGE: They were like, yeah, we have like a plan season three and we'll probably be done. And they were like, no, you don't understand. like This is so hard to do. You can't replicate this.
JohhnyCAGE: Do not like stretch this as long as you can. Which, obviously, probably not the best idea. But it is like it's like they were like, we had this crazy pressure because they were like, you are being...
JohhnyCAGE: bad people like if you if you end this before like you really need to you know what i mean uh
IGOTTADUMP: Well, it just gets to the point where you could argue that there's so many people employed for so long.
JohhnyCAGE: no i think that was part of it they're like yeah like so many jobs are on the line at that point uh yeah yeah and i you know it's so i don't want to just say like
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: it's It becomes becomes less of an artistic thing and more like you're running a business.
JohhnyCAGE: who's shitty and especially if you're like a streaming service like prime which. Listen, yes, they're popular, but they're not Netflix, right? um Like when you have hits, you kind of you want to cultivate that.
JohhnyCAGE: So I don't even.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, I don't get it either, man.
JohhnyCAGE: i don't begrudge them, I guess, like into I don't think they're just like others.
IGOTTADUMP: I am happy, though. I do admit that i I don't think I could withstand more seasons of the show.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, five was was we were at the breaking point. i was like, this should be the last one.
IGOTTADUMP: I think that is was good. But I think, yeah, it should have had a bigger bang. Should have on a bigger bang.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Maybe we're longer bang.
IGOTTADUMP: Should have been... Woo!
JohhnyCAGE: um Speaking bang, um weird segue. I watched Mandalorian and Grogu.
IGOTTADUMP: Greg-ay!
JohhnyCAGE: Gleggy.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: um Saw that the other week. my my expectations were pretty low i don't want to say rock bottom i know how the internet can be especially with star wars um dude i dug it man like this is this is like the best parts of like season two um before scott really really like unnecessarily convoluted um jeremy Alan White, I would not say impresses as Rod of the Hut.
JohhnyCAGE: um I don't know. He's just very, he's just, he's just obviously he's playing a Jabba's son, but he's just Peter Dinklage-esque in Destiny is probably what I would compare him to.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, just, he's like, I'm not my father. And you're like, okay. And then like, Hey, Roddy, what's going on? He's like, I just want to let you know I'm not like my dad. it's like, yeah, we we got it. And there's just no real emphasis.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't know. I don't know whose fault that was, but he he did not really impress. But, dude, the music was so good. And this isn't really a shocker because Ludwig gordon there you know apologies the guy who's done the mandalorian score was always great um but he really like he had some bangers in this movie um and it kind of turns into like a team america movie around the third act which is a little interesting and just dude it was good it was like a good watch honestly i would say
Steve-O: Star Wars is back. Is that what you're going to say?
JohhnyCAGE: No, I wouldn't say that.
Steve-O: ah
JohhnyCAGE: um
Steve-O: Never mind.
JohhnyCAGE: But, like, so this is the problem, right?
IGOTTADUMP: oh
Steve-O: Ah.
JohhnyCAGE: It's like they're like, this is the lowest Star Wars opener of all time, blah, blah, blah. And I'm like, you know what? Somebody's got to be the bottom. Like, somebody has to be the lowest, right?
JohhnyCAGE: It just is it is what it is. And this is it. And, like, that's fine. Like, this doesn't need to be... the start of the epic story that is the Star Wars, you know, that can be the Star Wars universe. It doesn't need to be start of a trilogy or anything like that. It's just just a above averagely well told tale in the Star Wars universe, which I think is totally fine.
JohhnyCAGE: um And it had sick fucking music. And this is probably in good sit territory for me.
Steve-O: Oh, okay.
JohhnyCAGE: I was not mad about anything.
Steve-O: Edge of your seat?
JohhnyCAGE: I was like, yeah.
Steve-O: You paid for the whole seat, but you only sat on the edge?
JohhnyCAGE: I paid for the whole, yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Jesus.
JohhnyCAGE: I was maybe half half of the seat.
IGOTTADUMP: Must hurt.
JohhnyCAGE: there was Dude, there was a point, though, where the music was going, and I was like bopping my head. i was vibing. And um
Steve-O: Were there people behind you? Were they like, please stop bobbing your head, sir?
JohhnyCAGE: dude, dude, this was a full-pack theater.
Steve-O: You're bobbing too hard.
JohhnyCAGE: This is a full-pack. And i've I've complained about this before. i don't know what the fuck it is. But like I'm not, I would say, a small human. right i'm ah I'm a pretty wide individual. right um Take that however you want.
JohhnyCAGE: um
JohhnyCAGE: I always got to sit next to an equally sized human when when it's packed. right when the The theater was full.
IGOTTADUMP: Yes. man
JohhnyCAGE: It was sold out. I was a front row Joe. And I was like, this motherfucker's in my seat because the theater hadn't filled up yet. And I sit down and now we're like, you know, it's like an airplane. We're like fighting for arm space. And I literally Googled, like I went to like quote unquote buy another ticket because I was like, there's no fucking way this guy picked this seat.
JohhnyCAGE: Sure enough, the whole theater was sold out. And I was like, motherfucker.
IGOTTADUMP: That's probably the last one sitting next to you.
JohhnyCAGE: and you And he was there early, dude. Like I got there early and he was there before me.
IGOTTADUMP: okay
JohhnyCAGE: and But the point is, is like there's a was a certain...
Steve-O: Bizarro or Devin?
IGOTTADUMP: So while you were bumping, was he bumping too?
Steve-O: Yeah, was he bumping?
IGOTTADUMP: Incidentally?
JohhnyCAGE: he was he was He was giggling a little bit harder than i was.
Steve-O: Oh, was he elbowing you and being like the music?
JohhnyCAGE: No, it wasn't elbowing me, but he was like...
Steve-O: This sounds like a possible friend.
JohhnyCAGE: we didn't We didn't like eyes.
Steve-O: Gets to movies early.
IGOTTADUMP: hit it off.
JohhnyCAGE: It kind of felt like you were...
IGOTTADUMP: Didn't hit off.
Steve-O: Chose the same series like area, the theater.
JohhnyCAGE: It kind of felt like we were both like in a cuck chair, but we both didn't know the girl.
IGOTTADUMP: Grogu. Big Grogu's.
JohhnyCAGE: You know what I mean? We were like, ugh.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
Steve-O: Wait, are you saying the movie was the like, oh.
JohhnyCAGE: No, I would say like my interaction with that guy is like, i we're not really going to make eye contact.
IGOTTADUMP: We're enjoying what we're watching, which is two guys railing our wives.
Steve-O: Were they like the leather seats?
JohhnyCAGE: yaa Yeah.
Steve-O: Were you in?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. I was, I was in the.
Steve-O: Were you in the shared seat where you could like lift the armrest in between?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yes. That's why I was like, that's what I mean.
Steve-O: Hmm.
JohhnyCAGE: I was like, there's no fucking way this big ass motherfucker is in the exact same, like not in my seat, but in my chair, you know what I mean?
IGOTTADUMP: who
IGOTTADUMP: Did you, were you fully reclined while this was going on?
JohhnyCAGE: i was like,
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, it's kind of like, again, i have I have now become a defender of the front row situation.
Steve-O: You're front row Joe guy.
JohhnyCAGE: But reclining definitely helps.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, he's currently...
JohhnyCAGE: So, yes, I was fully reclined.
Steve-O: That's interesting because that seems like a real strange thing to get into in your later years.
IGOTTADUMP: Front row Joe, Devin.
JohhnyCAGE: Dude. No, no, I'm not saying i'm not saying that, like, yeah I'm not saying, like, I'm going to pick it, right? I'm not saying, like, oh, Anthony Theater, I'm row at least row three, right?
IGOTTADUMP: Wait, what? What movie did we go see where you were?
JohhnyCAGE: I'm not saying that.
IGOTTADUMP: it was like IMAX and you were in the front.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh my God.
IGOTTADUMP: And you kept sending us all those photos.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, it was. Oh,
IGOTTADUMP: It's just like the actor's giant chins.
JohhnyCAGE: I saw Avatar. I saw the new Avatar movie. Yeah. yeah
IGOTTADUMP: It was really funny.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, I was front row fucking opening night on Avatar.
IGOTTADUMP: who It was like huge.
JohhnyCAGE: The fire and ash.
IGOTTADUMP: No, no, no. We went we all went to go see it.
JohhnyCAGE: oh Oh, that was ah that was Superman.
IGOTTADUMP: I remember... Me, me, me.
Steve-O: That was Superman.
IGOTTADUMP: That was Superman.
Steve-O: I was in front of Devin, but Devin was behind me taking photos of me.
JohhnyCAGE: Yes. Yes. I was like, yeah, but there were some.
IGOTTADUMP: That's right.
JohhnyCAGE: But like the point is, my point is, is like, listen, I'm not saying that if, if I have, if row F is open, I'm not going to pick row a, you know, I'm not going in the front, but if the theater is pretty jammed up,
JohhnyCAGE: And that front row is wide open. Don't be scared of it. Jump in.
IGOTTADUMP: Okay.
Steve-O: I would say kind of wish the theater would push back a little bit.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, shit. You mean like hit you?
Steve-O: Like, can you imagine that?
JohhnyCAGE: Oh,
Steve-O: Like, if like, if the movie was sold out, what if the screen went a little further back and got a little bit wider?
IGOTTADUMP: that's what you meant.
JohhnyCAGE: so I thought you meant like the theater was like, hey, dude, don't.
IGOTTADUMP: I thought you meant it like, yeah, like like metaphorically or something, like it should fuck you back.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. or Or like the theater was like, dude, don't get that seat. You have to sit in the front row.
Steve-O: No, dude, you got to.
JohhnyCAGE: Sorry, the it's like in it's like an airplane seat.
Steve-O: Believe me, you want the experience.
JohhnyCAGE: i like You got pay extra for this.
Steve-O: excuse Yeah, that's actually not a bad idea. If movie theaters want to make more money, charge it less for the front row.
JohhnyCAGE: No, it's a tade don't tell them that. Don't tell them that, dude. it's a Dude, it's a movie theater. it
JohhnyCAGE: i You know what? Actually, my argument is they should pay. The tickets should be cheaper if it's in the shittier theaters.
IGOTTADUMP: I think AMC is actually working on ah pricing tickets differently in the placement of the theater.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't like that. I don't like that at all.
IGOTTADUMP: yeah Yeah, that's terrible.
Steve-O: That sounds like the tickets are going up.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, no.
Steve-O: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, dude.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, exactly. You know what, dude? It's like, it's a fucking movie.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: It's not that important. I need to be like, I gotta pay. And you know, like, I'm just saying, the Stubbs as a Stubbs holder, you know, we're gonna be immune to that.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, same here. Yes, continue.
Steve-O: Oh, sorry.
IGOTTADUMP: Thank you.
JohhnyCAGE: Thank you. That's what I was waiting for. We'll be immune. We'll be immune to those, but
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, yeah, no, that won't that won't affect us.
Steve-O: Can I share that I am bothered by the amount of people who stole your gimmick?
IGOTTADUMP: I'm talking about the plebs, man. 20
JohhnyCAGE: Doesn't it piss you It pisses
Steve-O: It pisses me off a little bit. We've been making those jokes for 20 years.
IGOTTADUMP: See...
JohhnyCAGE: me off.
Steve-O: 20 years. 20 years.
JohhnyCAGE: 25 as, yeah, 10 years before Stubbs was a thing and Stubbs passed.
IGOTTADUMP: e You're talking at the height um at the height of Limp Bizkit's career.
Steve-O: Well, Stubbs Movie Club...
Steve-O: I still get movie pass.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: We were making jokes about him being a Stubbs member.
Steve-O: I'm sorry, movie pass. we were We were applauding Devin for standing up and and taking bows and waving.
JohhnyCAGE: I was waving. ah Yeah, I agree. I'll be that guy.
IGOTTADUMP: It is.
JohhnyCAGE: They stole it.
IGOTTADUMP: I have seen it. I have seen an uptick and it is
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. And I'm like, wow. Wow.
Steve-O: It's like, look at these shitty Zoomers stealing Devin's joke.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't know how. Yeah. I don't know how I could have trademarked that, but I should have.
Steve-O: Yeah, i don't think you could trademark standing up and bowing.
JohhnyCAGE: Being snob. Yeah.
Steve-O: You know what? You need like your own hand motion. That you can trademark.
IGOTTADUMP: And I'm sorry, you guys are never, ever not going to convince me that that guy who saluted Nicole Kim in during the AMC intro wasn't Chris Borden. Like that's him.
JohhnyCAGE: and
IGOTTADUMP: yeah
Steve-O: It looks like him. It looks like him.
IGOTTADUMP: it looks exactly like him.
JohhnyCAGE: You know what?
IGOTTADUMP: Like I knew he did that.
JohhnyCAGE: um Yeah, maybe we should do like a salute, like ah like I stick my arm out really sharply in front of me.
Steve-O: No, no, Devin, no.
JohhnyCAGE: You know? Maybe I tuck my shoulder first so they know like my heart goes out to you.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh no.
Steve-O: Taken, that's already taken. That's already taken.
JohhnyCAGE: No?
IGOTTADUMP: Devin.
JohhnyCAGE: No. I saw Elon Musk do that, my bad.
Steve-O: You saw Elon do that at Birth of a
JohhnyCAGE: My bad. Yeah. Yeah.
Steve-O: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: You know, i I'm glad you brought that up because you made us all feel uncomfortable because I'm glad you made us feel uncomfortable first because I want to talk about something that is really uncomfortable.
JohhnyCAGE: My mistake. My mistake.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: And I think I thank Devin for opening the doors for this. oh
JohhnyCAGE: You're welcome. You're
IGOTTADUMP: So I watched a documentary recently.
JohhnyCAGE: welcome. Ooh.
IGOTTADUMP: um I'm going to say of probably
IGOTTADUMP: um three most, top five most disturbing documentaries I've seen.
Steve-O: Wow. That's a tall order, man.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, all right.
IGOTTADUMP: m
JohhnyCAGE: Before you say anything else, is this modern or is this a bit of ah an older documentary?
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, it's modern. It just came out.
JohhnyCAGE: Ooh.
Steve-O: Oh, it's a freshie.
IGOTTADUMP: just It's a freshie.
JohhnyCAGE: Ooh.
IGOTTADUMP: It is freshie.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: And like most disturbing documentaries, it's from HBO Films.
Steve-O: Oh, it's called the back rooms.
IGOTTADUMP: um
Steve-O: It's a place you can get stuck in.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: So many people have died over the past few years.
Steve-O: Oh,
IGOTTADUMP: No, this is way worse. ah um Documentary called Great Photo, Lovely Life.
Steve-O: Oof.
IGOTTADUMP: um
JohhnyCAGE: a
IGOTTADUMP: It is about a photojournalist who has been chronicling
IGOTTADUMP: the crimes of her grandfather through photos that she has found in her house.
JohhnyCAGE: oh
IGOTTADUMP: And no, she is using older photos, older footage, cameras, things that he shot.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, she didn't take them. Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: um And of course, those crimes are of the Child sexual abuse.
Steve-O: Hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: Realm. And it goes to. Not only his. Family. But to him being a chiropractor. For children.
JohhnyCAGE: All right.
IGOTTADUMP: Many.
JohhnyCAGE: This is where it comes from. all right.
IGOTTADUMP: What?
JohhnyCAGE: We solve that. your Your disdain of chiropractors.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah dude.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: No if anything. It's just like further dug me in man.
JohhnyCAGE: okay yeah
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: I know what they're doing.
IGOTTADUMP: This is like, I am fully dug in on at my hate of chiropractors.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay, ah sorry. Another quick question. Is the grandfather alive at the time of this documentary?
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, dude.
Steve-O: Oh.
IGOTTADUMP: So he's in a retirement home or a community.
JohhnyCAGE: Hey, grandpa, you want to explain this?
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, there's that scene.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: um And it's just as terrible and awkward of a scene with a child sexual abuser would be him of course saying that they wanted it and liked it when they were 10, 11, 12 year olds.
JohhnyCAGE: Damn, dude.
Steve-O: That's awful.
JohhnyCAGE: man.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
Steve-O: That's the problem with documentaries.
IGOTTADUMP: if
Steve-O: They're real.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, dude, you're not wrong, Steve.
Steve-O: And like,
IGOTTADUMP: And that's, I kind of give myself like one every year that I can devote myself to.
Steve-O: yeah, like, dude, that's the thing.
JohhnyCAGE: Did you, did you like,
Steve-O: Like those documentaries, man, they can just be like a punch to the gut for like the entire year.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, totally. Like, no doubt. Like...
JohhnyCAGE: Did you like see this and we got, let me give this a shot. Or did you hear that this was like kind of crazy?
IGOTTADUMP: i heard about it. i heard I heard about it on YouTube.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: I knew somebody talking about them. He compared it to ah Capturing the Freedmen, which is another, probably my favorite documentary ever made. So, it was at that point I was like, okay, that's something...
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: That's something I would be interested in Now, this isn't as shockingly unbiased as Capturing the Freedmen was, but it is horrifying. you know Still extremely disturbing.
IGOTTADUMP: Very awkward sequences of of confronted you know confronting people. Of course, this man sounds like...
IGOTTADUMP: It's a lot of that. And also the documentarian, the photojournalist trying to figure out if she herself was molested at a young age. And if it was something she is pushing down.
IGOTTADUMP: Like, whoo!
JohhnyCAGE: Hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: Huh!
JohhnyCAGE: All right.
IGOTTADUMP: Jesus Christ! Yeah, that's one of those.
JohhnyCAGE: So a nice fun, fun, easy watch.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, no.
JohhnyCAGE: Throw that on on a Sunday afternoon with the kids.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, these are the ones, you know, like i Steve, you know, we all joke about how flippant we can be watching horror movies and gore, like eating and and talking and laughing.
Steve-O: Right.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, when it's real, that I'm not that way. I don't eat...
Steve-O: No, it goes out the window, dude.
JohhnyCAGE: Isn't it crazy how like, I don't know. It's like you just can't, it's hard to describe, but like you just know. It's just so you feel it, right?
JohhnyCAGE: What it's like, oh, this is super gory.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, it's like in your soul.
JohhnyCAGE: People are getting murdered and stabbed and it's so gross and it's scary.
Steve-O: Oh, man. Schlock and gore.
JohhnyCAGE: And then somebody's like, oh no, like look at this real thing. and you're like, that's so much worse. And it's like, I don't know.
Steve-O: Yeah, here's like a really difficult thing to just watch.
JohhnyCAGE: don't
IGOTTADUMP: Well, part of it is like we're we're we're like we're all like Cypher, right? Sitting at the console, looking at the zeros and ones. And we see something in it, but we know it's zeros and ones, right? Like...
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: at the end of the day.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: It's much different than actually being in the matrix and experiencing it right? Like Cypher's so disconnected and disillusioned at that point that it means nothing to him, right?
Steve-O: Right.
IGOTTADUMP: He can still see it and he still knows what it is, but it's just like, it's empty, right? Like, it's, it's ah we are somewhat desensitized, but it's also like, it's make-believe and we are so ingrained in the process that,
IGOTTADUMP: of that make-believe that we know it's what how it's done. even you know It's hard not to see the framework of every gory scene and horror scene. but like
Steve-O: Yeah, but he ah he pays. i guess he doesn't pay, but he gets the agents to to reset his ignorance.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh yeah, that is true.
JohhnyCAGE: he like Yeah, yeah.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: He says he doesn't want to remember anything.
IGOTTADUMP: That's what he wants.
Steve-O: I wouldn't believe that all horror movies are real.
IGOTTADUMP: want to be scared again. don't get scared anymore.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, man.
Steve-O: I wouldn't be scared again.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, could you imagine could you imagine if it'd say it was he was treating him like a genie? He's like, I want to make, a let's make Freddy Krueger real. Can we do that?
IGOTTADUMP: well they did the matrix did do that shit and they were like oh that's fucked that's really bad
Steve-O: They did. that There's real vampires and werewolves.
JohhnyCAGE: ah Yeah, yeah, no. I know, but what if he was like, no, drop him in like the middle of like middle America. Just drop him and Jason.
Steve-O: Are you saying that Last Action Hero has matrix ties? That you could connect those somehow?
IGOTTADUMP: of course it does that's a fuck up by the architect that's where he was like damn shit
JohhnyCAGE: mean,
JohhnyCAGE: i mean and like, honestly, honestly, dude, like think about it. Think about it. Is it fucked or is it just you're basically playing the Sims? Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: ah Yeah, he's he's baiting you.
Steve-O: he but You know what?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: The golden ticket is basically like a mod.
JohhnyCAGE: Golden Ticket's worse because you live in that world.
Steve-O: ah You can like mod the world.
JohhnyCAGE: You live in that world. But if all you're seeing is zeros and ones.
IGOTTADUMP: that Oh my god. Imagine getting the golden ticket and going into this movie.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: Oh, no.
IGOTTADUMP: That would be
JohhnyCAGE: well yeah
IGOTTADUMP: That would that be very fun. I will say this is a Mary, by the way.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
Steve-O: Mary, and this is on HBO, you said?
IGOTTADUMP: I want to get that out of the way.
JohhnyCAGE: Nice.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, 100%. It is a very well-made documentary. It's extremely disturbing.
JohhnyCAGE: Hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: I can't talk about it enough. Really great.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: i well You know, I don't mean to, I don't mean to like shit on other documentaries, but like for some reason, this is something i'm like I want Jenny to watch this instead of like the schlocky fucking cult Netflix documentary shows that she's always watching.
IGOTTADUMP: yeah
JohhnyCAGE: I'm always like that shit. Watch something real, like great photo, lovely life.
IGOTTADUMP: It is.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, I don't know. I just, I,
IGOTTADUMP: i kind of fell down the c documentary hole for a bit, but like I watched one of them and I, yeah, you're absolutely right.
JohhnyCAGE: I can't. They're all the same.
IGOTTADUMP: Like I tried to watch another and I was like, this is.
Steve-O: Dude, that's pain, man. You're living that life.
JohhnyCAGE: stack yeah.
Steve-O: What are you doing? A double feature of this, and dear Zachary? Come on, man.
IGOTTADUMP: Well, I watched last year, i watched a documentary about a woman that was taking so much colloidal silver that she turned blue.
Steve-O: I remember you telling us about this.
JohhnyCAGE: oh Yeah. I watched that one.
IGOTTADUMP: and And she died and they kept her body in like a bed for like a month with Christmas lights wrapped around it.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, the police. they're Oh, she's just resting. They're like, no, she's clearly been dead for a while.
IGOTTADUMP: I guess there's only like, listen,
JohhnyCAGE: And then she was just like a drunk asshole, basically. They're like, ah yeah, yeah, we don't have to get it. But yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: you know, it is kind of like the Joker thing with Colts though. Like it it might only be one bad day where you just trip and fall. Into the shit. Because this is like regular people. I get sucked into it sometimes.
Steve-O: I don't know, man. I think if you throw any white guy into acid, you have like 50% chance of the Joker.
JohhnyCAGE: fifty you percent
IGOTTADUMP: Well, yeah, you're right. I think the same could be said for cults. like you can
JohhnyCAGE: ah hu You know what?
IGOTTADUMP: Any white guy thrown thrown into them.
Steve-O: go
IGOTTADUMP: You might be in a cult, babe. It seems like it could be regular people that get involved in this shit.
JohhnyCAGE: Are whites the most dangerous group to throw in the acid bought like piles, like acid pools?
IGOTTADUMP: You know?
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, easily.
Steve-O: But 100%. You're
IGOTTADUMP: yeah don't Don't bleach our skin any whiter because we'll just get even more racist.
JohhnyCAGE: Listen, you
JohhnyCAGE: like see these Yeah, I guess.
Steve-O: you're getting some sort of clown person.
IGOTTADUMP: yeah You don't want clown man on your hands.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, i'm I'm not saying there wouldn't be variations, but yeah, the whites are probably the worst.
IGOTTADUMP: Seven.
IGOTTADUMP: More woman for that bit.
Steve-O: I think in 2016, there was an uptick of people being thrown into acid vats because that's when all the clowns were attacking. Remember?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, I do.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, we had ah the the classic mutated man roaming around our neighborhood, scaring children.
Steve-O: Yeah.
Steve-O: The playing card plant blew up and just sprayed acid on a bunch of suburbia.
IGOTTADUMP: Why is there one in every city?
Steve-O: oh didn't prohibit one for
IGOTTADUMP: Why is there a playing card plant in every city?
JohhnyCAGE: You know, it's kind of like, like, remember the initiative, like the um Marvel comics, the initiative, they just wanted one for every, every state.
IGOTTADUMP: yeah
Steve-O: Well, think about it this way, okay? So the more we legalize gambling, the more playing cards are needed. And the more playing cards are needed, the more plants need to be fed.
JohhnyCAGE: The more,
JohhnyCAGE: it's like for every 10,000 FanDuel accounts, a playing card, playing card factor gets put up and then set rigged to explode.
Steve-O: Ring to explode.
IGOTTADUMP: yeah that's how you and we you always get a joker out the mix that's some easy math right there that they're not they're not figuring it out because of money
JohhnyCAGE: So
JohhnyCAGE: yeah, yeah, that way. yeah you know, it's like Pokemon cards.
Steve-O: That would be, you know, every every city has a Joker.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, it's like magic or Pokemon cards.
IGOTTADUMP: jersey joker
Steve-O: Jersey Joker, Philly Joker.
IGOTTADUMP: These guys wear a white beard with chains and shit.
Steve-O: want to know how I got these scots?
IGOTTADUMP: I ate a really hot slice of pizza. I ate it from the back first.
Steve-O: Ha ha!
JohhnyCAGE: it from the sides. And I said, look put that hot honey on it. Oh, it burns.
IGOTTADUMP: I'm crazy.
Steve-O: God damn you Jersey Joker.
JohhnyCAGE: he's da He's the closest.
IGOTTADUMP: Go birds.
JohhnyCAGE: I think. my God. ah You know what? Let's really quickly. before I feel like before we get to the main event, um have either of you guys put any time in the Spider-Man Noir?
Steve-O: No.
IGOTTADUMP: I have watched the first episode.
JohhnyCAGE: Dude, what did you think?
IGOTTADUMP: actually really enjoyed that.
JohhnyCAGE: Right? i was not, I'll be honest. I was a doubter. I was like, Nicolas Cage, I think he's great. He's a great choice as, you know, the character in Spider-Verse.
JohhnyCAGE: There's a lot of reasons why.
IGOTTADUMP: He's really.
JohhnyCAGE: i just was like, dude, the guy's like 60. Like, it just like stops. Maybe we just shouldn't do this, but he kills it, dude.
IGOTTADUMP: he's He's really leaning into the 1940s film noir shit. like The way they talk and everything.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah, he really is. I'm like, I think I'm at two or three in, and ah it's good, man.
IGOTTADUMP: That's really neat.
JohhnyCAGE: It's it's quite, it's shockingly good. um
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, the the the cast is good too. Some good actors.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, I dig it. I really like that. And he he he does does a good job, man, as Ben Reilly. So, Steve, there's a scene where some guy's like,
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: beating him up, right? Because he it's established that he was Spider-Man, the spider.
Steve-O: Mm-hmm.
JohhnyCAGE: And then the love of his life died and then he's like, he retired five years ago. So he's just a normal kind of gumshoe, right? Or a normal private eye.
JohhnyCAGE: um So this guy, like, is trying to beat him up because he has some photographs. And he's like, listen, man, i don't want to hurt you. He's like, oh, whatever. You know, he's doing kind of like the the Peter Parker, Spider-Man kind of quips.
JohhnyCAGE: um but he's not jumping around. He's not doing swearing myself. And the guy picks them up, and he holds they're at the roof of this building. And he's like, I'm going to throw you off. And he's like, he's like I don't know how to break this to you, man, but he's like, I'm not really scared of heights. And I was like, God damn it. like This is good.
JohhnyCAGE: This is quality.
IGOTTADUMP: It was very quippy, back and forth dialogue.
JohhnyCAGE: um Yeah. Chris, are you watching it in black and white or true hue?
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, hell yeah, I am.
JohhnyCAGE: So I asked Jenny. I was like, Jenny, do you want to... So ah we're watching true hue, which I will say is not just color. Like, yes, it's color, but they're doing kind of like a color grading that is of the time.
JohhnyCAGE: It's not just like, oh, we went from red to gray and gray to red. um It's its color scheme is like the tones are, I'd say, appropriate for the era. And and that's actually pretty cool.
IGOTTADUMP: Just one thing I really noticed, which I thought was cool, was the effects. Like, they are mostly CGI, but they kind of look like like Boris Karloff turning into, like, the Wolfman.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: hmm. Mm hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: You know, like, it's, it's like, slow. And it's, like, it looks like time-lapsed, almost.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: and thats I thought that was cool.
JohhnyCAGE: I could see that.
IGOTTADUMP: I thought that was neat.
JohhnyCAGE: oh Oh, sorry. Really, really quick. One thing I did want to shout out and Mandalorian and Grogu. they have like rotoscope, is rotoscope the word? They have like claymation rotoscoped fucking mechs in that movie.
IGOTTADUMP: Interesting.
JohhnyCAGE: And you're like, wait, is that what I think it is? And like they're moving around and you're like, oh my God, that's really sick. But um yeah, sorry. But yeah, dude, like two, three in. I was, don't want say i was a hater, but I didn't have high hopes for this.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, it was it was definitely a weird thing to exist.
JohhnyCAGE: i was like, all right. Yeah, it was and is a weird thing.
IGOTTADUMP: it Yeah, it is a weird thing.
JohhnyCAGE: But um
JohhnyCAGE: yeah, he's um it's good, dude. I don't know what to say.
IGOTTADUMP: Mm-hmm.
JohhnyCAGE: um And it's different, so he's more violent than I was expecting. ah For sure, I'll say that.
IGOTTADUMP: well There's a few F-bombs and shit. It's pretty cool.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, and a guy gets his throat slashed graphically. doesn't... ah he doesn't kill people but he kind of does kill people like he's he's not peter parker life is precious yeah but but i mean like like because the thing is is like they all went they were all in the war you know so i don't think anybody holds that uh that kind of those types of values and at this in this verse um and and it doesn't bother me i don't think it's out of place i think it's fitting um
IGOTTADUMP: He's like a meme. He maims people. It seems like, right?
JohhnyCAGE: But yeah, dude, I'm, yeah, I'm into it.
IGOTTADUMP: Salcha.
JohhnyCAGE: But yes, yes.
IGOTTADUMP: Salcha. Already kind of better than Daredevil.
Steve-O: That's awesome.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, a little bit.
Steve-O: I mean, it's a bummer for a daredevil, but that's awesome that they're already better than daredevil.
IGOTTADUMP: Let's be real.
JohhnyCAGE: I mean, again, i dare Daredevil's like perfectly fine. um But, you know, this has the X factor of like, I thought it was going to be kind of bad and it's not bad at all. I mean, quite the opposite.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, it's very fresh.
JohhnyCAGE: So, yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: It's a fresh take.
JohhnyCAGE: But i yeah, I don't know, Chris, if there's anything else, but we can talk about the big boy.
IGOTTADUMP: No, no. Oh, well, we did watch one movie that we forgot about.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: I didn't even talk about yet.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, we are too.
IGOTTADUMP: Two?
JohhnyCAGE: What are you going to talk? Well, what are you going to talk about?
IGOTTADUMP: No. the the The newest film that just came out?
JohhnyCAGE: Well, i i when I said the main event, this is what I was referring Chris, when I said the main event, that's what I was referring to.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh! Okay, okay. My bad.
JohhnyCAGE: God damn it.
IGOTTADUMP: My bad.
JohhnyCAGE: You know what?
IGOTTADUMP: My bad.
JohhnyCAGE: This is like the cuck chair all over again.
IGOTTADUMP: who
JohhnyCAGE: Get out of here. Jesus Christ. i was like, do you go or should I go or do we watch?
IGOTTADUMP: we, Devin and I went to go see Backrooms the film in a theater, not on YouTube
JohhnyCAGE: do we What do we do here?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Yes. And we saw a late showing. This is important.
Steve-O: Oh, that's scary.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, I had I had a day. i had a quite the day. i was at a convention earlier and, you know, we did some fun things and it was pretty cool. I mean, Jenny, not Chris wasn't involved.
JohhnyCAGE: But then I was like, oh, by the way, we got like last showing of the night tickets for the back rooms.
IGOTTADUMP: yay, we had a good day
JohhnyCAGE: um So we got it and we were on time, I'd say, you know, and Chris calls me and he's like, hey, are you at the theater yet? I'm like, no, I'm like 10 minutes out.
JohhnyCAGE: And apparently they had a a power outage, Chris.
IGOTTADUMP: Yep.
JohhnyCAGE: And the movie got delayed like. 40 minutes or something.
Steve-O: Oh my God.
JohhnyCAGE: And listen, I'm not trying to be that guy, but we're a little bit older.
IGOTTADUMP: We were all getting, we all got preemptively grumpy.
JohhnyCAGE: That hits a little harder. That hits a little harder when you're like... ah li Dude, honestly, yeah, because it's like... My thing is, is like if I'm going to see an 11 p.m. show or a midnight show, if I know it is, I can accept that.
JohhnyCAGE: But if I'm going to see a 10.30 show and it's 11.15 by the time I fucking get in there...
IGOTTADUMP: And when you show up to the theater at that time and have to wait.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah at at the appropriate time yeah yeah
IGOTTADUMP: And also told by the manager and the person working the the booth that theater time was fine and walking in to a being spoiled by the end of Backrooms.
JohhnyCAGE: yes yes chris walked into the fucking up basically uh i don't like just a shotgun
Steve-O: No.
IGOTTADUMP: One of the most unhinged scenes in the movie. Easily.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, did you like, did you walk in your oh shit? Or were you like, what the fuck? And then you're like, I need to leave. This is definitely.
IGOTTADUMP: oh yeah, no. It was what the fuck was that?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: and Yeah, I thought I was like, oh, it's gotta be over now.
Steve-O: oh my gosh.
JohhnyCAGE: but Then but then you it did you did it again. Right. It like a 10 minutes later, like it has to be over by now.
Steve-O: They kept walking you into the theater.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, my God.
Steve-O: You're like, all right, well, now it's...
JohhnyCAGE: Dude, two times, Chris.
IGOTTADUMP: I walked in and it was
JohhnyCAGE: Two times, Chris got spoiled.
IGOTTADUMP: It's much more minor.
JohhnyCAGE: But still, you're like, yeah. But at that point, you're like, you've seen enough movies to know. You're like, I'm watching the last five minutes of this movie, essentially.
IGOTTADUMP: it felt like.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: It did feel.
JohhnyCAGE: So anyway, we we go, we we see the back rooms. And they to be fair, they did just jump right into it, no credits. um And yeah, I was, um I don't want to say I was like suspicious of this movie being good.
JohhnyCAGE: But I had said before, I was like, I had a theory that i was like, maybe these movies, maybe these like backroom things are only good when you're watching it in your computer, on your computer at like midnight by yourself, right?
IGOTTADUMP: I mean, i think everybody. i thought that. i thought that too.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, I was just like, because the trailers really weren't doing anything for me Yeah, it was really interesting because, and and again, and this is no, I'm not trying to compare the two, right?
IGOTTADUMP: Like, I didn't really know how this was going to jump.
JohhnyCAGE: But like, me, I was coming off of like what I think is one of the best horror films I've seen and a decade right so i was like god damn like this is gonna be tough for me to get in that you know in that there's just gonna be unfair comparisons no matter what um but no dude this is um i i think the guy pretty much pulled it off at kane parsons
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah. I think there... they're they are I think the beginning of the movie is probably the the weakest part of the movie.
JohhnyCAGE: like Like the very beginning or like like with the thing that he's basing.
IGOTTADUMP: I'd say the first act.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay, because in the very beginning, he's he's giving you the YouTube clip, essentially, right? He's like, oh, yeah, it's first person.
IGOTTADUMP: Yes. that That's fine.
JohhnyCAGE: It's like you're watching that.
IGOTTADUMP: um
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: I'd say the and like the the first act, it takes a bit to really...
JohhnyCAGE: It it's a it's a it's a it moves at its own pace, this movie.
IGOTTADUMP: get where
IGOTTADUMP: Yes.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: However, I'd say at the beginning of the second act, it really captures the feeling of pretty much every one of these YouTube videos that we watch.
IGOTTADUMP: like
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: Mm-hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: it it And it also shows you a much cleaner, more polished version of those videos.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, it's not all handheld, which which I was kind of curious because I was like, I still don't know if that worked.
IGOTTADUMP: Right.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, I'm like, should the whole movie have been this or should it have been you like the mix?
IGOTTADUMP: No, no, I think it worked fine.
JohhnyCAGE: You like the mix?
IGOTTADUMP: i i Yeah, I do. i i think in this case I do because I think, you know, the film footage stuff is wonderful and it it really works well on this film. um But I feel like this movie had to kind of stand on its own legs and be and have a story and a plot.
IGOTTADUMP: And I think with that comes like the the whole production, like the whole idea of making a movie, like this this clean...
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, ah yeah
IGOTTADUMP: clean look and and the cinematography in this film is is really good like it's it's everything what yeah it's clean this the effects are really good um there's there's a good mix of of some prosthetic effects and and some CGI stuff too um yeah it's just it this is a much more polished version of
JohhnyCAGE: honestly. No, I'd say, yeah, like I think it like it did look really good.
IGOTTADUMP: of the back rooms that we all really like, like, and it it's, it's, I think this is rare. i think it's hard to transfer something like this over. And I really think that's the, the biggest boon of this movie.
IGOTTADUMP: Like it's, that's, that's, this is, it's a hard jump to make, man.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: You know?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. And it, um, there's a, it's tough. Cause like the back rooms is, I don't want to say there's no plot like the, in the original, like YouTube clips and videos and things.
IGOTTADUMP: It's very much like, almost like Dark Souls, where there is plot, but it's kind of on the margins of it.
JohhnyCAGE: It's not like,
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, you're just like, this is, we're just we're just vibes. This is vibes instead of like plot.
IGOTTADUMP: Exactly.
JohhnyCAGE: So i was like, how's that going to work? Because there has to be a plot. And I do think it's it's good. And it serves, and he's he's trying to tell a story. It's not just like, oh, we threw plot because like, I have to have a plot, right?
JohhnyCAGE: He's like trying to say something. um And it's kind of has like dual protagonist thing going on.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, and you know, there there is some really tense, stressful, and deeply unsettling scenes. One one kind of reminded me of something from Texas Chainsaw Massacre a little bit.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: You know, like
JohhnyCAGE: That I'll be honest, that scene, I struggle with it because of just like the outside influence shit that was happening with that piece of shit.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, yeah. Well, that's a whole nother story.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yeah. So Steve, um so we're, we're at like, we're at like not the end of the movie, but we're at the crescendo of the, like,
IGOTTADUMP: Assholes who watch movies.
Steve-O: Right.
JohhnyCAGE: every it's It's almost like all will be revealed type of shit. Like we're at that scene.
Steve-O: right
JohhnyCAGE: So we're we're in. We're in the movie. Like we're we're deep in. And this you hear behind us. I'm bored. i don't like this movie. I'm bored. I'm sorry. ah I'm just bored. I'm going leave. And you're like, all right, that's pretty fucking annoying. And then you hear two or three people get up and to leave.
JohhnyCAGE: You're like, all right, cool. Annoying, but whatever. And then like 10 seconds later, I'm bored. I'm fucking stupid. I'm bored. going to leave. And it's like, think Chris, ah you know, Chris.
JohhnyCAGE: politely tells her to shut the fuck up. um And then she starts yelling at Chris. Like, Chris is like, just leave, please. And it's like, it's like this sequence where this guy's having like a breakthrough, a real like character breakthrough.
JohhnyCAGE: um So I will be honest, a little bit of that sequence is a bit of a blur.
IGOTTADUMP: I know, man.
JohhnyCAGE: i And it's, but it's like, lady, if you're, if you're, so if you're bored,
Steve-O: Oh man, that's...
JohhnyCAGE: leave just leave lady yeah yeah yeah she do then yeah yeah and then and then like to not get up and because you keep saying i'm gonna leave it's like anyway yeah it just sucked because like yeah like deep plot shit was happening during this and and it's just like all i could think of was that fucking lady yeah yeah it was a good scene
IGOTTADUMP: She's doing it for attention. She's doing it for attention.
Steve-O: Yeah, actively saying these things out loud in a theater...
IGOTTADUMP: It was a very, it was it was a good scene. It was really well done. And there there are aspects of it that I'm still thinking about, like visuals specifically, that really unsettling.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it is. um And I don't, maybe I'm just dumb, but like I didn't make the ai
JohhnyCAGE: correlation in, like I didn't make that until after seeing this, like until the movie is over. And I don't know if the original backrooms are anything like that, but the whole like Matt, like, yeah, yeah. This is kind of like dunking on AI. I was like, wow, that's pretty obvious. But like,
JohhnyCAGE: it didn't really, i didn't really acknowledge it until after the movie was over.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, you know, it's it's kind of in the mood.
JohhnyCAGE: What did you, was any of that like, Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: youd I'd say a a little bit um as far as like recreating certain like certain clips in the back rooms where they recreate an entire town.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah
IGOTTADUMP: And it's like that fake look to the town. I always got vibes
Steve-O: Oh, that's interesting.
JohhnyCAGE: and i will And I will say, and i will say i don't think this is i don't think this is a spoiler, but there's a really good description of the back rooms. Because it's it's a a hard movie to describe, right?
JohhnyCAGE: But he says, he's like, imagine if you're describing a dog to someone who doesn't know what a dog is. Like, you give as many details as you can. to this person who's like, I've never seen a dog, doesn't know what a dog is, and then watch them draw a picture of what a dog is based off what you said.
JohhnyCAGE: He's like, that's what the back rooms are like. He's like, it's yeah some things make sense, but the devils are in the details. Like, and I'm like, that's a really good way of describing it, honestly.
IGOTTADUMP: And those and those
Steve-O: That's it.
Steve-O: Yeah, the the AI stuff I never even thought about. But like the thing is, like the the whole backrooms thing spawned way before the whole like modern AI, like infiltrating itself into every facet of life.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: So like that's a pretty interesting like spin by like King Pixels. Like that's that's very mature for a like freshman filmmaker to like, you know, kind of put something in there.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, for like a
Steve-O: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: ah Yeah, and he is, this film is very impressive in a lot of ways in that, and you know, not just his youth, but like, again, the jump from YouTube to to cinema, there's so many YouTubers that are making movies that I haven't seen some of them, but I have heard bad things, you know, like, what does that mean?
JohhnyCAGE: Mm-hmm.
Steve-O: Iron Lung out now double asterisk. That was Markiplier's most recent Markiplier YouTube post.
IGOTTADUMP: Double asterisks?
Steve-O: Double asterisk.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah. yeah, like I haven't seen them. Some of them really give me like, oh, vibes. um
Steve-O: Mm hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: Shelby Oaks and and Iron Lung being the two.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: um But yeah, this is so, so impressive. And like I said, though, I do think it is not quite there yet, though.
Steve-O: Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: Right?
Steve-O: You think like another one or two under his belt?
IGOTTADUMP: Right.
IGOTTADUMP: think he needs to get better at writing dialogue.
Steve-O: That's fair. He never has like really had to deal with characters. So.
IGOTTADUMP: I think dialogue's the devil in the details in this scenario.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Like, like, yeah they're they're it's Yeah, because it's like I do think he like nails that description.
Steve-O: Hmm.
JohhnyCAGE: But also, it's just it's the guy who, like not creative, but it's the guy most well-known for the Batgirls concept. So I'd like to think he has a pretty good fucking idea on how to describe what those things are.
JohhnyCAGE: But yeah, dialogue's fine.
Steve-O: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: it's It's, yeah, it's okay.
JohhnyCAGE: You know?
IGOTTADUMP: It's not great.
Steve-O: That's probably better than like marble hornets from back in the day.
IGOTTADUMP: Well, I mean, that's a low bar, dog.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah, yeah, yeah. yeah
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: You know, there there was one thing that I was kind of getting a little frustrated with, but like just at the peak of my frustration is like the last time they deal with it. But, you know, when he he when he finds the.
JohhnyCAGE: Such it's a it's a wall. It's not like a false wall. It's just like just magic. Right. He just phases in and out of the wall from where he is to the back rooms.
Steve-O: Mm-hmm.
JohhnyCAGE: um So it has to like got a lot of gravitas. Right. The moment. And then they do this like four more times, three or four more times.
IGOTTADUMP: Really, oh, really, really good sound, ah good soundtrack too.
JohhnyCAGE: Yes.
IGOTTADUMP: Like those, yeah, cool sound design, cool little music for going through the the barrier and everything.
JohhnyCAGE: Yes. Good soundtrack. Good sound design. Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, but but I will say, like by like the last time they like were doing it, and I was like, we there doesn't need to be the mystery of the wall is done.
IGOTTADUMP: It's cool.
JohhnyCAGE: like Stop it. like It's important for this character who's never gone through the wall thing, but like i don't need you don't need to set the scene up and build it up like it's this big fucking heavy thing, because I've seen it seven times.
Steve-O: I don't
IGOTTADUMP: It felt like it was it was felt like it was trying to be too realistic.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah. like it It makes sense for that character, but like as a viewer, I've seen them go through the wall seven times at this point.
IGOTTADUMP: Like...
IGOTTADUMP: yeah Yeah, like, he he I guess the term is he shows a lot of shoe leather in this movie.
JohhnyCAGE: like I'm good. Just go through the fucking wall because let's get to the rest of the movie.
Steve-O: Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Right? Like, I feel like he could cut that down little bit.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. But it's really nitpicky, right? like we're We're kind of nitpicking.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, that's true.
JohhnyCAGE: So...
Steve-O: But like, that's like the mark of like an actual film though, is the fact that like you have criticism.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, dude, that's a pretty good point.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah yeah yeah
IGOTTADUMP: Because let me tell you something. There was something in the beginning of the movie that I didn't really particularly like, but it went completely full circle, came right back at the end, perfectly constructed,
IGOTTADUMP: I was very impressed by that. That part of the script made me go, ah cool. this is This is a movie. This is what you're supposed to do.
Steve-O: a
Steve-O: I'm excited to see this. I've really wanted to, so at some point I need to get to it.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah
JohhnyCAGE: Chris, text me what scene you're talking about cause I'm curious.
IGOTTADUMP: and Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: um But yeah, yeah. that ah Also, I say, dude, I'd say good sit. If I gave Mando, Mando and Grogu a good sit, this is a good sit.
IGOTTADUMP: I'd say a good sit is exactly that's perfect.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Like this is the epitome of that. I think we're almost there.
JohhnyCAGE: Just like, I don't want to give it a Mary, you know.
IGOTTADUMP: it's It's like such it's so close though. to mayor I'm so close to marrying this one.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's it's like...
IGOTTADUMP: I'm one drunken night away from a phone call.
JohhnyCAGE: All right, Chris, do you feel like... Do you feel like if you didn't get pseudo-spoiled twice that it would have been a Mary?
IGOTTADUMP: No, I'm like being really like, I'm as unbiased as possible because I really respect the series so much.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay. Be gracious.
IGOTTADUMP: I really do.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Like I respect the guy who made it too. So yeah, no, I'm, I'm being ah as upfront and unbiased as I can be about this. No, no, no emotion.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah,
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah. Yeah.
Steve-O: That's awesome. um I'm ecstatic to see this then.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah dude. it's ah it's We're in a good spot. Horror, I don't think we've had a strong... like Maybe I'm a little bit biased. I'm always just down to watch horror shit, but like this...
Steve-O: Was there a drop off?
JohhnyCAGE: I just feel like we've had really good horror films this year. Like, but start like, and I'm not saying they all got to be like crazy good. Like they don't all have to be obsessions or weapons quality.
JohhnyCAGE: But like I hear really good things about primate. You know, I still haven't seen that. But like just all the hard stuff has come out has been like objectively pretty good.
IGOTTADUMP: You know, i I will steal something from ah from Red Letter Media, though.
JohhnyCAGE: Like it's all been a good time.
IGOTTADUMP: I did watch their review recently, and I...
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: Rich... Not Rich. Oh, my God. I'm blanking on their names. of
JohhnyCAGE: Rich Evans and er Jay.
Steve-O: ja
IGOTTADUMP: Jay.
JohhnyCAGE: and
IGOTTADUMP: Jay said, like, I'm really happy that, like, all these wonderful young filmmakers are making, like, these really great horror movies, but I kind of want them to make something else.
IGOTTADUMP: Like, it's all horror. Like, I...
JohhnyCAGE: its yeah It is not odd, but it's strange that they all seem to veer towards horror, even the ones that don't have a ah pretty hefty background.
IGOTTADUMP: Right.
JohhnyCAGE: The Raka Raka guys, i wouldn't have said...
IGOTTADUMP: Like, where are where are the Tarantinos in the 90s and the Paul Thomas Andersons and shit, like, making, like, Boogie Nights and kind of grounded...
IGOTTADUMP: dramas but action and you know like what there's no diversity in in genre
JohhnyCAGE: yeah
Steve-O: I think it's because horror is, it's easy to do a low budget horror movie.
IGOTTADUMP: you're absolutely right absolutely yep you can do you can really play with the plot and the characters quite a bit
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, sure. and And I think it leasts lends itself to being the most experimental. I did watch. Yeah. So, you know, the
IGOTTADUMP: Or at least that's like, it's, it's, it sucks because it's like, and it's a twofold problem with horror movies. I love horror movies. This is coming from someone who's grown up watching them, but like, it's how society views them.
IGOTTADUMP: How like so much they're just like, meh, like they don't, they're so, if they're bad, they're nothing. If they're great, they're great. Like they're, people are so like, they don't want to legitimize them.
IGOTTADUMP: They're not legitimate.
Steve-O: No, you're right.
IGOTTADUMP: And any type of art community. So it's so easy to to make these that horror movies that fly under the radar, that are really cheap, that are really experimental because people don't care.
IGOTTADUMP: you know, the people that matter, at least it seems in Hollywood, don't seem to care.
Steve-O: Yeah, it's um because like even, you know, Zack Greger, who is like making banger after banger, like because he's been kind of tethered to horror, I think there are still people out there who, you know, they don't really like they're still like kind of having doubt in like, oh, my God, is Zack Greger making a Resident Evil movie?
Steve-O: Like, this is going to be so bad.
IGOTTADUMP: I know.
Steve-O: It's like, what are you talking about? Like,
IGOTTADUMP: It's because these people have no, no, like almost no like creative or cultural memory of horror movies.
JohhnyCAGE: like get
Steve-O: Right.
JohhnyCAGE: They don't have opinions unless they read a tweet that vibes with how they feel.
Steve-O: And like, the thing is
IGOTTADUMP: That too.
Steve-O: that, yeah, there's echo chambers in full swing nowadays, but I'd love to see Zach Krieger do, you know, a heist movie or something.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, it's I think it's worse than it's ever been. Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Now, listen, I don't know how true this is, but I remember reading something about Stephen King and about how when he was young, like he wanted to be a writer when he was like 17, right?
IGOTTADUMP: And he went to his local bookstore and he went through each of like the rows of like genres and he looked at like drama and it was like huge. It was like this huge section for drama and he looked at like comedy and it was huge section of comedy. Then he looked at horror and it was like one row and he was like, well...
IGOTTADUMP: well, I know what I'm writing.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: This is mine.
IGOTTADUMP: Like, yeah is that what it is is? that like as simple as it is? Is it just financially like that's, there's not a lot of them that are great and you you can make a great one still and you won't get lost in the mix.
Steve-O: I don't know.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
Steve-O: Like, that's interesting because looking at it now, i would say like horror would be like huge. Like if you went down like ah like a movie wall, like if if Blockbuster was still around and you went to the horror section, it would be like just a lined like wall to wall.
IGOTTADUMP: I guess is it's a little different with books because there are like so few great books and a bookstore is filled with books.
Steve-O: Like.
IGOTTADUMP: So they have to like, you know, condense genres down to the best of the best to put out there.
Steve-O: Right.
Steve-O: Hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: So I, that's, I think more or less what I'm, what I'm getting at. Like there's so few considered classic horror movies that it's so easy to make one.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: It's horror, a younger genre.
IGOTTADUMP: it's it's It's just not accepted.
JohhnyCAGE: I think so, yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: It's not like nobody of of any type of award statue or statute would ever give it an award. like It's never been respected. so the
Steve-O: I mean, some of the most like famous directors got their start with horror, but like then they branched out to other stuff.
JohhnyCAGE: But yeah, i do think I do think like, but it's like, it's you can experiment.
IGOTTADUMP: Exactly.
JohhnyCAGE: It's a safe sandbox experiment. Maybe cut your teeth a little bit.
IGOTTADUMP: It is true.
Steve-O: Mm.
JohhnyCAGE: And then, because, yeah, and then it's like, okay, whatever.
IGOTTADUMP: You cut your teeth, yes. But it does seem like people are are are instead of just cutting their teeth, they're just like, nope, you're just going to keep making horror movies.
JohhnyCAGE: But
JohhnyCAGE: yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Like, I love this.
JohhnyCAGE: the man It's like, dude, the last like two, three years, I was like, the quality is so good. Like, we've got such good quality shit, dude.
IGOTTADUMP: I know.
Steve-O: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: You're right. It's almost like i am I am yelling at the gift horse in front of me. like i am i'm I'm looking at directly in its fucking mouth.
JohhnyCAGE: ah yeah
IGOTTADUMP: and i've And I'm looking at its tiny teeth and there's just this little cavity in the back.
Steve-O: It's...
IGOTTADUMP: And I'm kicking it.
JohhnyCAGE: Chris just left to make another horse analogy. Just let that horse through the gate. Chris, just let the, you know, it's a gift.
IGOTTADUMP: I guess. I'm looking too deep into it.
JohhnyCAGE: It's a gift. Just let through the gate.
Steve-O: Let the next horse in.
JohhnyCAGE: Nothing bad will happen.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, this's this won't, this is not a bubble or anything.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. This will, this will bite me in the ass later.
Steve-O: Oh,
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. um No, yeah. It's just, I do think we're in like a kind of like a horror golden age because it's, dude, like, even like something probably on the level of something like
JohhnyCAGE: ah like the snowman horror film from like, you know, the fucking nineties and two thousands, like the really schlocky, shitty ones, Jack Frost, like, like the version of Jack Frost that we're getting now is like art, the clown, it's like terrifier.
Steve-O: Jack Frost.
IGOTTADUMP: Jack Frost. Thank you.
Steve-O: Yeah, yeah, Chris, Chris. yeah
JohhnyCAGE: Right. So it's like, that's still good, dude.
IGOTTADUMP: whole nother world.
JohhnyCAGE: That's still like awesome. And like, I don't know. Yeah. It's very much. It's tough. Cause it's like, you want to, I don't want to say it's a problem yet, but I could see the i could see the critique.
Steve-O: I think it's because every other genre costs so much more to make now.
JohhnyCAGE: that's yeah I was just about to say, yeah, budget.
IGOTTADUMP: that's that's ab youre That is a big part of it too.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, low budget.
Steve-O: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: don't Don't get me wrong.
Steve-O: And also comedy.
IGOTTADUMP: Dude,
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: Comedy is so sparse now.
IGOTTADUMP: it's because, you know, it's it that's the hardest thing to make.
JohhnyCAGE: Well, I...
IGOTTADUMP: and i At least it's it's always been said that way. like
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yeah, comedies are so hard to write.
IGOTTADUMP: Woody Allen said, you know, gotta, I was a terrible person to quote, but he did say, you know, drama, you just gotta hit the target.
JohhnyCAGE: He said, ah you you love who you love, right? with the apple
IGOTTADUMP: drama
JohhnyCAGE: Can't help who you love.
IGOTTADUMP: adra In drama, you just got to hit the target. With comedy, you have to hit the bullseye over and over and over again.
JohhnyCAGE: That's 100%. And I think we're still like in in film. I think we're in this like kind of in-between where we haven't quite figured out like what the meta like what the meta for comedy is yet.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, you know, we had ah we had like the 50 the super bad. Like we had found it. We OK, this is the dish. um
Steve-O: Yeah, what's that director's name?
JohhnyCAGE: Before that, we had like the wrong she comedies.
IGOTTADUMP: Judd Apatow?
Steve-O: Yeah, Judd Apatow.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, the Judd Apatow, like, all that kind of, like, dramedy, almost. um And now it's like, well, the only things that are funny that are making hits online are, like, 30-second fucking clips.
IGOTTADUMP: Hmm.
Steve-O: Right.
JohhnyCAGE: And you can't do that, right? You can't make a movie, or they they haven't cracked that code yet. um
IGOTTADUMP: Something that I find universally funny throughout every generation that I've talked to is smiling friends.
JohhnyCAGE: So, yeah, I think comedies are just...
IGOTTADUMP: Ha ha
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Smiling friends?
IGOTTADUMP: I could talk to anybody about smiling friends.
JohhnyCAGE: I... Yeah, I would say I'd say that I would also say just like.
Steve-O: Like a cheat code.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Caveman fun, like funny when you're a caveman, funny when you're 98 years old, Jackass.
Steve-O: Yeah. I hate to say it man.
JohhnyCAGE: I think the Jackass comedy is just like. Guy falls down like it's that's innately in your DNA funny, right?
Steve-O: Guy falls down. if That's funny.
IGOTTADUMP: That is funny.
JohhnyCAGE: And that's.
Steve-O: Dude, can I hit you with another one, Devin?
JohhnyCAGE: Hit me. Hit me.
Steve-O: Guy farts.
IGOTTADUMP: oh
JohhnyCAGE: Farts. I love farts, dude.
Steve-O: unexpected fart.
IGOTTADUMP: I just did the Denzel Washington meme where he slaps his chest.
JohhnyCAGE: One of my favorite,
Steve-O: It's good.
JohhnyCAGE: you know, one of my favorite fart videos currently, ah i have a list, but currently is the guy that asks his Alexa to fart. And he's whispering. So she's like, I'm going to whisper too. And he's like, okay.
JohhnyCAGE: And she farts a few times. He's like, would you like me to fart again? He's like, yeah, yeah. big one and it's like the loudest we is flu and it's fucking kills me every time
IGOTTADUMP: ah ah
Steve-O: but
IGOTTADUMP: ah
Steve-O: Dude, that's comedy.
JohhnyCAGE: he's like pleases he's disgusted he's like oh god but um yeah what's a snooker match oh no
Steve-O: That's comedy.
IGOTTADUMP: one of my One of my all-time favorites in in most enf farting, really. I got really into farting at snooker matches in England.
Steve-O: I know exactly what you're talking about, Chris.
IGOTTADUMP: Alright, so snooker is like
Steve-O: I have seen this.
JohhnyCAGE: New fetish unlocked. Let's go.
IGOTTADUMP: It's like this English form of of pool where there's like all these like colored balls on the table.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: But the difference is, i don't know if pool's like this, but everybody is like silent when they're playing Snooker.
Steve-O: m
IGOTTADUMP: The audience has to be quiet. like Everybody has to be quiet. So when people like let one rip in the audience and there are mics everywhere, yeah, and like it always gets like a response.
JohhnyCAGE: It really...
Steve-O: You hear it.
Steve-O: I always thought it was like, I always thought it was like their opponent farting to like try and throw them off.
IGOTTADUMP: people
IGOTTADUMP: oh no well there's a compilation where it's
JohhnyCAGE: I just watched one.
IGOTTADUMP: there's a compilation of them because it's like the the player does it once it's like audience it's in the audience and it's just it's it's so it's pure comedy
Steve-O: That's funny, dude.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, my.
Steve-O: The internet has made it hard to write comedy because you can't write that.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: I know you can't.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: It's so real.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah And yeah, does anyone want to, and like, i hate to say it, right?
IGOTTADUMP: It's so real.
JohhnyCAGE: But does anybody want to see like the latest drama by fucking Markiplier? No shade. I'm just like, okay.
IGOTTADUMP: Like real drama or like
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, like like he's like, oh, i want to I want my first film to be like a drama. Like, no, dude, I'm good.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, oh, I see.
Steve-O: Like Markiplier's like, I'm going to do One Flew Over the Koo-Koo's Nest to remake.
JohhnyCAGE: You know, I'm just saying it's top. Yeah, it's just that I think horror is just
IGOTTADUMP: Just so we're all we're on the same page here. We haven't watched anything he's been in, right?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Thus far? None of us?
Steve-O: I watched his little silly Markiplier heist, but aside from that, no.
JohhnyCAGE: No. All
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, like like narrative stories.
Steve-O: Not his actual films.
IGOTTADUMP: Okay.
Steve-O: No.
IGOTTADUMP: okay
Steve-O: I don't know if he's a good actor.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: right.
IGOTTADUMP: I don't either. i have real...
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. I mean, listen, you don't have to just be a good director. Good writer, just something.
IGOTTADUMP: is he he's he's He directed Iron Lung too, right?
Steve-O: Yeah, he starred and directed.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, I think so. He was like all of it, right? He was just writing over director.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: get it.
Steve-O: Producer.
JohhnyCAGE: You know what I don't like? I don't like when Mr. Beast comments on anything about a YouTuber doing well in Hollywood, though.
JohhnyCAGE: I'm like, fuck you. He's like, oh, Cain Parsons, this is how it is now. And I'm like, fuck you. I immediately am like, you know a Backroom sucked.
Steve-O: Yeah, I hear Mr. Beast.
JohhnyCAGE: Fuck you, Mr.
Steve-O: Oh, did he tainted it for you?
JohhnyCAGE: Beast.
IGOTTADUMP: ah
JohhnyCAGE: I don't know.
Steve-O: Tainted, you've ruined it
JohhnyCAGE: There's something. There's just something about that guy that makes me.
IGOTTADUMP: I mean, you take the good with the bad, my friend. YouTube's full of bad.
JohhnyCAGE: know.
IGOTTADUMP: won't deny it. i won an i
JohhnyCAGE: And I don't think I'm not even like a like a Mr. Beast hater. It's just like. Like, dude, you're too eager. Stop it.
Steve-O: It's that it's he smiles, but doesn't put like any light into any other part of his face.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: I mean, listen, this is the this is the way the tide is going, my friend.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: like this is We're going to see a lot of YouTubers getting contracts to make TV shows and movies to dab Bloodborne make this.
Steve-O: Well, mark our Mr. Beast, his stuff is is tanking.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh,
Steve-O: People don't want to watch the Beast games.
JohhnyCAGE: ah they're only making 60 million views instead of 75 million views.
IGOTTADUMP: that's stupid.
Steve-O: they're Yeah, they really do it so much.
IGOTTADUMP: I don't think that's going to stop people from getting YouTubers to make shit.
Steve-O: No, I think they're going to, you know, this King Pixels thing, it's like, you know, hey, once again, you know, the talent will rise to the top. Like, Cream will always, like, get there.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. No, I figured it's he's he's such a big name in the YouTube space that it's like he's glomming on to people so much lower than him on the totem bowl success.
JohhnyCAGE: I'm like, I don't want the Mr. Beast stink to get on Kane Parsons. I don't want the Mr. Beast stink to get on fucking Curry Barker, you know, like get stay away, dude. Like.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't want to see you just throw a shitload of money and then next thing you know, he's like, hey, make a game show. Make a game show my YouTube channel. It'll do sick numbers.
IGOTTADUMP: I'll call the backrooms. That way can ever leave.
JohhnyCAGE: no Yeah.
Steve-O: Oh, that'd be so fun. And everybody's running around trying to get a million dollars.
IGOTTADUMP: Mr. Beast, ugly backroom. Go back and get a beast.
Steve-O: Ugly backroom.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. like Yeah, like, do you want you want to see the Mr. Beast backrooms like fucking collab?
Steve-O: No.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't. Yeah. Anyway. All right. I'm falling down a
Steve-O: I want him to make a movie of, was that the oldest, the oldest house or what was it called?
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, Steve.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Well, you know, I was thinking of, well, wait, are you talking, are you talking about the oldest house is control?
Steve-O: Oldest room? Oldest view.
IGOTTADUMP: i think it's the oldest house.
Steve-O: Oldest view oldest view
IGOTTADUMP: Oldest for you.
Steve-O: That's control.
JohhnyCAGE: That's good.
Steve-O: i always confuse it.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Oldest view. It is oldest view.
JohhnyCAGE: What's the oldest view? What is that?
Steve-O: The oldest view was King Pixel's second thing that he did on YouTube where it's like the mall that's underground.
IGOTTADUMP: The mall.
JohhnyCAGE: oh Oh, that's called. Oh, you're right. You're right. You're okay.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: There's, um, there's shades of that.
Steve-O: That was like a masterpiece. Like that was like beautifully done.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: See, that's the thing.
JohhnyCAGE: Um,
Steve-O: Right.
IGOTTADUMP: i don't like... yeah I guess you could make a movie about that, but like that's on its own. It's just wonderful.
Steve-O: Right.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: no my guts
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: I think the back room was something you could... expand more into like, you know,
Steve-O: Yeah, like I know that like he came up with like a whole lore in his in his initial backrooms video.
JohhnyCAGE: He has like a Bible, a little back in Bible.
Steve-O: Yeah. um He's just minding his own business.
JohhnyCAGE: Well, I was watching some I, of course, right. ah The algorithm was like talking about, oh the this is how they're connected.
IGOTTADUMP: Devin fell into the back rooms.
JohhnyCAGE: And it's like, OK, Yeah, think I'll die. And I'm like, all all right, cool.
IGOTTADUMP: Freddie Fazbear is in the back rooms.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. um Yeah, man, I'd say, a Steve, you are lousy with options.
Steve-O: I'm in for it.
JohhnyCAGE: In terms of what the what spooky thing to watch. Yeah.
Steve-O: Horror's good, you're saying? i Okay, good.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: I have watched just a real, I'm going to make this real quick because know we're going to do a big game thing, but I did watch a haunted Minecraft mod recently.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: Ooh. Oh,
IGOTTADUMP: i think it's called Wonderland.
Steve-O: I'm going to have to look this up, Chris. You know I'm a sucker for these things. Is this kind of like the My House Doomwad?
IGOTTADUMP: Kinda. Yeah, there's a lot of layers to it. And it's um it's definitely creepy in that there is a player that shows up in the mod with you who can, you know, destroy blocks and build stuff like you.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, it's... it's And there's all these different dimensions. it's Yeah, it's something.
Steve-O: That's funny.
IGOTTADUMP: It's...
JohhnyCAGE: OK.
Steve-O: That's that sounds very cool.
IGOTTADUMP: It's a trip. It's a trip. It's, um, I would check it out if you get a chance. think it's called the Wonderland mod for Minecraft.
Steve-O: Yeah, I'm looking it up and i'm I'm seeing people doing their like deep dives into like the Wonderland dot jar mod.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, nice.
Steve-O: um That's cool. This is cool.
IGOTTADUMP: Check it out. Very cool.
Steve-O: Thank you for for telling me about this, Chris.
IGOTTADUMP: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Steve-O: All right, so what isn't cool?
JohhnyCAGE: you know You know what isn't cool?
JohhnyCAGE: how I feel when I play Mina the Hollower. That's not cool.
Steve-O: Damn.
JohhnyCAGE: I I feel like a fraud. i don't know how I feel about this game.
Steve-O: You feel like a fake gamer?
JohhnyCAGE: Do you? Well, it's like if IGN gives it a 10, it's it's a bad game. I don't it's not bad. It's not bad, but it's like.
Steve-O: So no mixtape.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, it's better than next day, but it's like, all right, so I kickstarted Mina the Hollower because I love Shovel Knight.
Steve-O: Shovel Knight. Excellent.
JohhnyCAGE: And I knew i was slightly concerned when I played the demo of Mina, the Hollower, because I was like, I don't like this. I don't. Like Shovel Knight, I kind of immediately was like, yes, I love this.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: i the It was easy enough, easy to. There was just something about Mina that and it's all on purpose. I don't think it's like. they just did a bad job. It's just the decisions they made, I do not like as a person who plays games.
Steve-O: okay
JohhnyCAGE: um And, you know, we were talking about before, like there's been so many comparisons. They're like, oh yeah, it's like a Souls-like Legend of Zelda, which doesn't really sound fun. And I would argue isn't fun. um It's, but my, frankly, my biggest issue with it is like, it's really twofold. It's,
JohhnyCAGE: Visually, i think it's gorgeous, but it's also, I think, worse. It's not as fun to navigate as like Shovel Knight was.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: um It's because not like the pixels are better, right? Because the aesthetic for this is like Game Boy Color, which I, and like, yeah, like kind of like Legend of Zelda Link to the Path.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't, yeah, yeah, like I don't like that.
Steve-O: It's Link's Awakening style. Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: look it's just everything's like fat and slow and just i don't i don't know like i don't even like in like binding of isaac like that's not a game style that i really tend to enjoy and it's like and visually it's kind of like it's tough because Mina, she she's a holler, so she tunnels and there's a lot of like jumping. You have to like tunnel under things or like tunnel and then do a jump to jump over things.
JohhnyCAGE: And it's tough when everything's like 2D and it just it's on the same plane. Right. So you have to like.
Steve-O: right
JohhnyCAGE: Learn what is what and the timing of the tunneling. is not friendly. um Again, I think it's on purpose. It's very much designed that way, but I do not like it.
JohhnyCAGE: And I, I'm like six and a half hours in I still do not like it. um And the other big issue I have with it is like, it's a, I guess it's a souls, like in the sense of you can kind of go anywhere roughly,
JohhnyCAGE: Um, so there's no, like,
JohhnyCAGE: it's going to sound mean, but like, I kinda, I kinda stand by it. There's no opportunity for what I would call like smart game design.
JohhnyCAGE: like, oh, it's cool because like you can't really do this and until you get that thing, right? Like like some of the best shit in Metroidvania is like, oh, like I want to go back to area because I don't have this power up yet.
Steve-O: Right.
Steve-O: Yeah.
Steve-O: That's like that literally classic Zelda. Like I got to get the hook shot in order to cross this gap.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, and that's what makes it... It's one of the aspects that does make that fun and that works in 3D, that works in 2D, that works in even games like this, I'd imagine.
Steve-O: hmm.
JohhnyCAGE: um But like since you can go to any of the sections at any time, the only thing that's really holding you back is like, you know, you have the money or just, you know, kind of difficulty of an area, I suppose.
JohhnyCAGE: um But like you can conceivably go to the the frost, the mountain area first. You could go to this area first. You could go to the the swamp whenever you want. Right. um But like so I'm doing is I'm just going through screens of just like.
JohhnyCAGE: ah it' tough i don't want to say ugly environments, but like hard to read environments. Right. where the timing is awkward and I don't like it. And if I'm not doing that, I'm falling in a hole and then dying.
JohhnyCAGE: Like I'm, I'm losing life and then I die. And then it's, it's fucking tough. And I, like, I just said, fuck it. And I threw on, I will say to its credit, it has, um accessibility options and, and you,
Steve-O: Yeah, i heard people complaining that that the game has these options.
JohhnyCAGE: No, that's not a problem. I threw them on. Like I said, you know what? Let me just throw on. um I'll take less damage, I'll make twice as more bones the the money.
JohhnyCAGE: So like when enemy gives you 10 bones, you'll get like 50 bones.
Steve-O: The bones are their money.
IGOTTADUMP: Mm-hmm.
JohhnyCAGE: Exactly, right? So like, that's what the game is.
Steve-O: Makes sense.
JohhnyCAGE: And i threw those on and I'm playing it. And but then there was this area that I'm like, I just don't understand how I'm supposed to navigate this. I keep no matter what, I'm falling into a fucking hole.
JohhnyCAGE: So I turned on no fall mode. Like i just walk over pits and I was like, I'll just do it for this section. But then I'm going through this whole level and I'm like, everything is irritating. Like everything is annoying.
JohhnyCAGE: And I was just like, and now I'm just playing it. And like I said, I'm about six and a half hours in. I've beaten two of the the areas. And then there's this whole other mini game that you do. Like once you like beat the boss and you activate the lights or whatever. That is ah awful. It's awful to play. It's a terrible, not fun experience. um
IGOTTADUMP: Devin, I found some reviews that might be helpful. This the most helpful reviews on Steam.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: You want me to read one for you?
JohhnyCAGE: But yeah, likell I'll just finish out with this. um I'm like six and a half hours in. I think I'm done. Like, I don't think I'm even going to get through it.
Steve-O: Damn, tapped.
JohhnyCAGE: And this is a game like you're you're supposed to beat at the new game plus like five, six, seven times to like get everything or like get the whole story or whatever.
Steve-O: He
JohhnyCAGE: But I'm like, dude, yeah.
Steve-O: didn't even enjoy it once.
JohhnyCAGE: I was like, why am I doing this? Like, I'm not. I don't know. Yeah. And it's a shame because it's a 10, but I don't think it's a 10.
IGOTTADUMP: Here you go. Here's a review.
JohhnyCAGE: But yeah, hit hit me with some of these reviews.
IGOTTADUMP: This is a masterfully done game. Lots of people are salty.
JohhnyCAGE: hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: And yes, it's a skill issue.
JohhnyCAGE: i i
IGOTTADUMP: that helpful?
JohhnyCAGE: Helpful? No. Accurate? Probably.
IGOTTADUMP: Ha ha ha ha ha.
JohhnyCAGE: um Probably. Listen, I hate the time the timing of this game is like, just repels me. I'm like, I hate the way this game wants me to play it.
JohhnyCAGE: It's, ah I don't know. I would argue it's bad. And I know it's not. Like, I know it's not. But
IGOTTADUMP: is It's 20 hours.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't know how long. Let me look it up. um How long it's beats. And like, I might be a fraud because like I might go back to it.
JohhnyCAGE: Right. But.
IGOTTADUMP: It's only 20 bucks. That is, it's hard to like, it's hard to hate on that.
JohhnyCAGE: na No, no. It's not. It's not bad. It's 20 bucks. It looks gorgeous. It's just like.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: There's a demo. Try the demo. but like and i And I don't normally say this, but I very much feel like pretty strongly about this.
IGOTTADUMP: Okay. All right
JohhnyCAGE: If you don't vibe with the demo, then like do not.
IGOTTADUMP: right.
JohhnyCAGE: but The game doesn't kind of like mixtape, right? If you don't vibe with the first like hour of that game, you it doesn't get better. um
IGOTTADUMP: Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: So, Mean of the Hollow Earth. Now, granted, it's fairly new. So these hours might change, but it's a 16 and a half hours for main story. 21 hours to complete the whole thing which seems
IGOTTADUMP: Okay, that's like new New Game Plus and shit and everything.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah but that seems short considering they're like you there's like seven new game pluses i don't know i don't know maybe maybe once you beat it twice you can skip a bunch of stuff who knows yeah i i will say though like not to just be like a total brat and just shit on it um there's a lot it's so full of content though like you go to a town and
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, shit. Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: I gotta admit, having that whip, that's why love whips.
JohhnyCAGE: There's a big town there and like everybody you talk to has like something you can do like with them, right? Oh, give this guy some bones or find this thing and give it to this guy.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, oh, go into this.
IGOTTADUMP: ah there's like so much shit to to actually do in the world.
JohhnyCAGE: There's so much stuff in it. And then like I just went in this one area and then I just got this fishing rod and I can if I was like if I was enjoying the game, I'd be like, oh, shit.
IGOTTADUMP: That's cool.
JohhnyCAGE: now I'm just going to go fish for. the the rest of my life, I guess. It's just, I'm not, I don't like it I don't like it at all. Ah, and it's close.
IGOTTADUMP: This one, and this one is kind of drawing me a bit. I got a minute.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. No, dude. Cause it.
IGOTTADUMP: I was looking at some of these videos.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yeah. It looks good. It's just, it's hot.
IGOTTADUMP: cool soundtrack too
JohhnyCAGE: It's bums me out. Yeah, sounds good. Music's good. It's just unfortunate. Like, I just think Shovel Knight is a better.
IGOTTADUMP: you like shovel knight too because love shovel knight okay
JohhnyCAGE: I love Shovel Knight, dude. Yeah, like, it bums me out. Like, I kickstarted this game. It bums me out that, like, I'm not vibing with it at all. And I was just concerned when I played the demo, and I was like, I don't really love this. And then...
JohhnyCAGE: When I played it, i was like, ah yep. But granted, you could just be me. Just throw on all the cheats and he just play through it. But even then, you know, like you're I'm not so ignorant to say that you're not losing something if you like just kind of.
JohhnyCAGE: throw on, like, make it almost impossible for you to die and just walk over all the the hoops, you know, all the the pitfalls and stuff like that, but this game's tough.
IGOTTADUMP: interesting
JohhnyCAGE: It is difficult. It is not easy.
Steve-O: You could have just sold me on a Link's Awakening game. I feel like when you take a game and you split it like that sometimes.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah listen And like I said, um there's a demo.
Steve-O: Can kind of deter you a little.
JohhnyCAGE: There's a demo. Try the demo. it is it is It's the experience, right?
IGOTTADUMP: it like Is it difficult like Celeste is difficult?
JohhnyCAGE: If you don't vibe with the demo...
IGOTTADUMP: ever play that?
JohhnyCAGE: No. But isn't Celeste kind of like a Super Meat Boy?
IGOTTADUMP: No.
JohhnyCAGE: like it's You fuck up, but it's you're really quickly back.
IGOTTADUMP: It is.
JohhnyCAGE: No, I heard this game has pretty gnarly runbacks.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
Steve-O: Oh.
JohhnyCAGE: um So like you die, and then you run back, and then...
IGOTTADUMP: Okay. Is it interconnected like Dark Souls?
JohhnyCAGE: The whole thing's interconnected, but like, but my argument to that is like, it doesn't really give you any opportunity for what I would call like good level design or good game design.
IGOTTADUMP: Like everything?
IGOTTADUMP: Okay. Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: Like it's not like if I can just go to any section at any time, like, I don't know. There's reasons to go back. It's just not appealing to me in the slightest. And it, it's bumming me out, man.
Steve-O: Devin, let me get your spirits up because games games are back.
JohhnyCAGE: But,
JohhnyCAGE: Get my spirits
Steve-O: Devin this week.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, they're back. They're back.
Steve-O: Games are coming back real hard.
JohhnyCAGE: You know, i
JohhnyCAGE: I had to explain to Jenny what this week was. And she's like, oh, like really kind of like, you're you're stupid. Like, i was like, no, because like this guy...
Steve-O: yeah You feel real stupid, don't you?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, i was like, like no, because this week, look it's like E3. She's like, what's E3? I'm like, okay, yeah, you're right. ah So like this week is like a lot of game news. And for those of you who don't know or need a reminder or whatever, right let's just talk about it.
JohhnyCAGE: This is the week. This is E3 used to be a thing. E3 is not a thing. This is the E3 game. replacement right we got playstation state of play tomorrow we got summer game fest on like thursday wednesday thursday something like that and then we got the xbox id uh on sunday and then in between that there's other smaller shows right but to me the big those are the big three right you got the soby state of play you got the um
Steve-O: Some games.
IGOTTADUMP: Start games.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: the summer game fest and then you got the xbox uh game showcase uh after that later that week so this is this is the week right where we get you know we see fun shit we see dope shit we get excited for what's coming out this year and and then the next and it's it's yeah what you hear
IGOTTADUMP: I heard rumor going around is they're going to burn Phil Spencer and a big wicker man at Summer Games. Like that's Xbox's plan.
JohhnyCAGE: I heard that and I i don't want to say I hope it's true.
IGOTTADUMP: it's ah It's a sacrifice. It's sacrifice for the games.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: It's fine. It'll be fine.
JohhnyCAGE: like be you Are they, I think it's just a stack of connects that he's getting burned in.
IGOTTADUMP: He won't know until the end.
JohhnyCAGE: You know, it's cooking, it's cooking that poor man.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, that makes more sense. He's definitely getting burned, though. That's what I read.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. mean, he didn't really deserve of it, right? He's a sacrifice, but, um,
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, I mean, Xbox got to games back.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah. But ah listen, i just. ah We kind of like the the timeline of everything, right? So tomorrow's the Sony show later do this week is Summer Game Fest, Sunday's Xbox. i was bored enough last week that I I've been putting together bingo cards for these things just because I don't know why not.
JohhnyCAGE: Right.
Steve-O: Oh, okay.
JohhnyCAGE: So I put together a bingo card for myself.
IGOTTADUMP: Bingo, you say? Can you send that to me right now?
JohhnyCAGE: And what I, ah yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Put in the shit talk, please.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, I'm putting this shit on. Some games, but i don't you guys don't want to dig through it. I don't want you guys to dig through it. So, yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: I ain't doing that, man. I got nothing to
JohhnyCAGE: So i threw I threw a bingo card in.
Steve-O: Oh, that's, oh my God.
JohhnyCAGE: And it's just for me, right?
IGOTTADUMP: George Saro's DLC? What does that mean?
JohhnyCAGE: george sa Chris, this is what I mean. This why you've got to be locked in. This is what happens when you're not perpetually online, dude.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, shit. Damn it. I don't know what that means.
JohhnyCAGE: um but i think it would be fun and i'm not saying we do this now right but i think you know you guys just go it's gonna create a little bingo i i want to play bingo with you guys this week
IGOTTADUMP: I thought the Night of the Old Republics game is not coming out. Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: see that's that's the fun of the bingo chris
Steve-O: That's what he's saying.
IGOTTADUMP: no day
Steve-O: He's saying, like, the bingo.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah maybe it's coming back. maybe Maybe there's proof of life, you know, proof of life. Now this is for the, the and again, we don't have to go over this because it's my own personal bingo, but this is for the week, right?
IGOTTADUMP: Can I, can I?
JohhnyCAGE: This is for the Sony, say to play. This is, yeah, Sabretooth appears.
IGOTTADUMP: You have Sabretooth appears. Is he going to show up to like the summer games and kill people?
Steve-O: Yeah, you wanted to, like, be on stage? Is that what you're saying?
JohhnyCAGE: I just want to, dude, I just want to know that Sabretooth, we will see Sabretooth in some form or fashion this week.
IGOTTADUMP: He's going to kill people, Devin.
IGOTTADUMP: He's definitely wearing a MAGA hat. i'll tell you that right now.
JohhnyCAGE: Sabertooth appears. You know, I got some trailers in there. ah Vamps.
IGOTTADUMP: what did What do you mean by Is that Vamp from Metal Gear Solid 2?
JohhnyCAGE: Just got Vamps in all caps. We're going some Vamps. Dude, Chris.
Steve-O: Vampires are in. Is that what you're saying?
JohhnyCAGE: Like I said, I'm having fun with it, right? wait
IGOTTADUMP: Is he going to own game?
JohhnyCAGE: Dude, Vamps. Vamps. Yeah, I'll be specific. We'll see some teeth. We'll see some fangs.
IGOTTADUMP: right.
JohhnyCAGE: Could be Blood of the Dawnwalker. Could be a Blade. Could be a Blade trailer.
Steve-O: I feel like that diagonal is like one you really expect to happen.
JohhnyCAGE: Wow. You know what, dude? i didn't even look at it. You're talking about the...
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, that is pretty sick.
JohhnyCAGE: Ooh.
IGOTTADUMP: I see it too.
Steve-O: Something notable will get shadow dropped.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, dude, I'm seeing one too.
Steve-O: Final Fantasy 7 Part 3 trailer free Sabretooth.
JohhnyCAGE: Free Space, Saber Tooth Beers, dude.
IGOTTADUMP: That is the Devin diagonal if I've ever seen one.
Steve-O: Vamps.
JohhnyCAGE: Yo, dude. i was i've been I've been unlucky. I've yet to get a bingo on these. And i and i've read i do I do randomize these.
Steve-O: I think if OK, that's good.
JohhnyCAGE: I put them in and I hit random. And it does a...
Steve-O: But if you don't get that, that's going to be sad.
JohhnyCAGE: That's a failure, right? right
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, man. New PS5. I think I could get N down, too. Maybe. Kingdom Hearts 4 is probably.
IGOTTADUMP: Damn. I don't like the the N row. Not a big fan of that row.
JohhnyCAGE: You don't like a reminder that KOTOR remake is still a thing? GTA 6.
IGOTTADUMP: New PS5 controller colors?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Ugh.
JohhnyCAGE: You're going to see a trailer that you're going You want buy some new controller colors?
Steve-O: I don't think you're going to get that. I don't think you're going to get that.
JohhnyCAGE: You don't think so? See, this is well this this is why, again, just put the link in and you can build your own at your leisure.
Steve-O: I'm noticing very little Xbox in here.
JohhnyCAGE: And I
JohhnyCAGE: ah Well, yeah I had, i you know, I actually had to re, i had one with, and I was actually right.
Steve-O: Years of War. That's it.
JohhnyCAGE: I said, is before the Fable news drop, but I said, Fable will be announced first quarter, 2027. And then I, so then I posted it. And then I read that Fable was delayed into February and I was like, fuck.
JohhnyCAGE: So I did, I don't know.
IGOTTADUMP: I got one to
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Xbox becomes a box company.
JohhnyCAGE: But, uh, Oh, good, good, good. But, I mean, listen, you can you can use this ah you can use this as a, I might even tweak this, right?
Steve-O: Oh, that's really good.
IGOTTADUMP: They just make boxes from that one.
JohhnyCAGE: But like you can use this as ah as a baseline, but I want to know if there's any hopes and dreams that you guys got going on this week for for for games. there anything you're, all right.
Steve-O: Yeah, i'm doing I'm doing one right now, and I'm going to guarantee myself a win.
IGOTTADUMP: ah steve's Steve's jam at home. Steve's jam in one home. Maybe I should do it.
Steve-O: Chris, you know I'll make one for all of us.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Okay. All right.
JohhnyCAGE: You know, like that. And, yeah, I think there's a shuffle items within their column or something like that. Or don't click. know. But I'm just saying we could shuffle stuff, so it's tough to to cheat.
Steve-O: Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: But, ah yeah, man, I'm a... This is what... So while Steve's working, this is what... I think we know for sure, right? We're definitely seeing Gears.
JohhnyCAGE: We're definitely seeing Wolverine. Like, that's for sure happening.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't know if there's anything else that's, like, for sure locked in. But some of this is just, you know, I think common sense. Some of this is just what we hope to see.
JohhnyCAGE: ah But, yeah. i'm ah If I don't get an Onimusha release date,
JohhnyCAGE: I might cause a crime.
Steve-O: You're going to do a crime?
JohhnyCAGE: i think I think I would cause, maybe steal gum from like a 7-Eleven.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, man. Like a petty crime just to get back.
JohhnyCAGE: Like a petty crime. Listen, is it really worth a major crime?
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't get... If Onamushu is delayed in the 2027...
IGOTTADUMP: You should steal a car.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, okay, okay.
Steve-O: dude, you should steal a car.
JohhnyCAGE: So this is something I want to talk about later in the year.
IGOTTADUMP: That's what I would do.
JohhnyCAGE: But, like, assuming...
IGOTTADUMP: And then at your trial, say you're a free citizen and you're doing this in protest of an emotion not coming up.
JohhnyCAGE: don't we should not coming out this year. Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: um But I do want to talk about it because this this is something I'll mention later this year. But, like, I think Capcom might be the best game studio working today. And I think this might be...
JohhnyCAGE: the best year they've ever had. Like 2027 or I'm sorry, saying.
Steve-O: You must be right, like, because they're supposed to put out like they still have more in the pipe.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, Otomusha not even out yet. And, and if that, if that drops this year, like they, they will have dropped three major games. We might get not to, I don't want to influence your bingo cards, Steve, but like we might get ah another resident evil tease, you know,
JohhnyCAGE: maybe not maybe that Maybe that's a Game Awards thing, but like...
IGOTTADUMP: I
JohhnyCAGE: Dude! Yeah. Just saying.
IGOTTADUMP: wouldn't hate it I wouldn't hate
JohhnyCAGE: Like, I don't know. I just... I don't think there's a a game studio that's more locked in than Capcom right now. even though they didn't I don't think they deserve credit with the exception of it's their IP, but like even devil may cry the the show. I'm like, even this is good.
JohhnyCAGE: God damn. It's all, it's all winners with these guys. But yeah, man, I think, I think we're, we are due for some, a new fun beat them up because much like horror films are, are kind of in like a gold made,
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, dude, they are in their renaissance right now.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, beat-em-ups, man. It's just throw a rock and you're you're getting something sick. Even like Toxic Crusaders coming out, that looks sick.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: The He-Man one looks sick. It's not out yet, but that's coming.
IGOTTADUMP: The Marvel one was great. I beat the shit out of that.
JohhnyCAGE: Marvel one's great, but like, I don't know. I don't know what the new one could be. Like, well what IP is left that we can make a sick another sick beat-em-up for, but there's got to be one.
Steve-O: There's got be one. There's got be one or two.
JohhnyCAGE: It's got to be. I'm trying to think. Something that maybe a bluey one where we all beat up Bandit for being the worst character in the show. ah
JohhnyCAGE: He's a bad dad, Steve. I don't know to tell you.
Steve-O: but
IGOTTADUMP: so how is this all happening is this thiss not all on the same day right this is all the same week wow
JohhnyCAGE: This is the same week.
Steve-O: Multiple days.
JohhnyCAGE: The same week. Yeah.
Steve-O: Yeah, it's like one and then one the next day.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, this this is, yeah, this is what, so like, yeah, like E3 used to be like over the span of like three days.
IGOTTADUMP: shit
JohhnyCAGE: This is going to be, here I have a, again, I was so, was so, I was so busy last week. I filled up my calendar because I wanted to, I wanted to see.
JohhnyCAGE: So what the hell is my, it's not on my phone, it's on the computer. All right, let's let me pull up the official.
IGOTTADUMP: Whoa.
Steve-O: and getting the computer out.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Oh, like this thing out. Google Calendar.
JohhnyCAGE: OK, Chris.
JohhnyCAGE: So tomorrow. This is this is when you need to take your breaks if you're working. It's when you got to go on your smoke breaks, your lunch break. ah Tomorrow, Chris.
JohhnyCAGE: 5 p.m. Eastern, Sony State of Play.
IGOTTADUMP: I'm actually off tomorrow, so I could probably watch all this.
JohhnyCAGE: All right. ol yeah Yeah, put that, put that, that's running, I think that's 90 minutes, something like that. You know, okay. um Cool or not cool, Chris?
JohhnyCAGE: Alamo Drafthouse sells movie tickets. Like you could go to a move an Alamo Drafthouse to watch this. Is that lame or is that cool?
IGOTTADUMP: I've been disappointed by so many game was it like showcases that I think it's pretty lame.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: theyly i think
IGOTTADUMP: It's like, I literally, I can probably name like on my...
JohhnyCAGE: I think that the mental damage of like paying a ticket, going there with a thing of popcorn, and having it be a fucking wet fart of a show would be devastating, dude.
IGOTTADUMP: I can name on my, on three fingers, maybe, the the moments in game awards that i was like, wow, holy shit.
JohhnyCAGE: But man.
IGOTTADUMP: Like that's, that's it's so rare.
Steve-O: Dude, you're
JohhnyCAGE: Right? All right.
IGOTTADUMP: No, I just never.
JohhnyCAGE: All right. So Wednesday, Wednesday, we're we're good. they we good Thursday, we're good. Friday, Summer are Game Fest, 5 to 7.
JohhnyCAGE: So I don't know.
Steve-O: dude you're in
JohhnyCAGE: I don't know. don't know if you're available, Chris, but that's that's when you'll be watching that. i
IGOTTADUMP: Well, i can watch I can watch the Sony one. I can't watch the one on Friday. work yeah I know.
JohhnyCAGE: Wow, you're a bad person. bad first um Sunday, 1 p.m.
Steve-O: It's a little messed up.
JohhnyCAGE: Eastern, Xbox Games Showcase.
IGOTTADUMP: Glad I'm working that day.
JohhnyCAGE: ah Yeah, you could, well, I'll catch the highlights. I think I'll i'll catch the highlights. um But there's other ones, too. But again, these are, like, IndieGameShowFest.com. It's not the other thing.
JohhnyCAGE: But let's... Let's see if I can pull up the full list in case Chris wants to call out. All right,
IGOTTADUMP: ah Yeah, okay.
JohhnyCAGE: Chris.
IGOTTADUMP: Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, wait, you posted it. ah
Steve-O: yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm posting everybody's. I'm posting all of us.
JohhnyCAGE: Wow. You know, this is like this is like when you went into my 2026 tracker and ruined it. This is this is like.
JohhnyCAGE: crime happens. Six, six, six. ah Let's.
Steve-O: If we see crime in someone, in some trailer of some sort, boom, mark it off.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: There you go.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Latin America game game studios. Chris, that's 2 p.m. I'm sorry, it's 5 p.m. June 4th.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, okay.
JohhnyCAGE: Women led games, 7 p.m. June fourth Day of the Devs, that's actually one that people do watch. That's 7 p.m. on June 5th.
JohhnyCAGE: June 6th, we got Southeast Asian Game Showcase. We got Partner Showcase. We got another Partner Showcase.
IGOTTADUMP: Is there anything I should be looking out for? Because I think Sony might be...
JohhnyCAGE: No, no, in terms of what... So there might be three, right? In terms of what I think a Chris Galanti would be interested in. The Sony one, the Summer Game Fest one,
IGOTTADUMP: yeah yeah
JohhnyCAGE: And maybe PC game show. And that's 3 p.m.
Steve-O: We got that Steam Deck.
JohhnyCAGE: That's 3 p.m. on a Sunday.
JohhnyCAGE: That's right after.
Steve-O: You got plenty of time.
JohhnyCAGE: i think that's like right after the the Xbox.
Steve-O: You'll be able to talk about that one next week. Fresh.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: New.
JohhnyCAGE: But I will say sometimes the PC gamer show, it can be a bit like.
Steve-O: Bit of a snooze fest.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, oh, man, they showed the new boards and you're like, oh, that's so interesting.
Steve-O: Hey, we're going to show you like eight hours of like a top-down like
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yeah.
Steve-O: command and conquer style game.
JohhnyCAGE: But the point, yeah, the point is by this time next week, we're going to be, we're going have some juicy shit to talk about. Yeah. It's my, it's my favorite.
JohhnyCAGE: It's one of my favorite weeks of the year. I love me some game news.
Steve-O: Nintendo will probably wait a little bit. They usually like kind of like wait out of the cycle.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. I will say Nintendo's been oddly quiet. Usually, usually they throw something, right?
Steve-O: they They usually wait for the Games Fest thing to die down, and then they put something out.
JohhnyCAGE: Around the summer.
Steve-O: They usually kind of go around a little bit. like
JohhnyCAGE: So, you know, all right, so.
Steve-O: They put out the Star Fox thing, and then I think maybe later in June, they'll they'll do something.
JohhnyCAGE: So they're going to go, oh, that's cute. And then drop Ocarina of Time remake.
Steve-O: They're going to drop Ocarina of Time Remake, baby. I'm banking on it.
JohhnyCAGE: You did you you snuck that in there, dude.
Steve-O: Well, you know what? I think Rain was trying to be tricky. I think he was like, oh man, somebody's to try and snipe this from me. And I was like like, yeah, but it's a possibility.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, but like, oh, you you think he was trying to.
IGOTTADUMP: wrote I wrote something and I firmly believe it.
Steve-O: What'd you write?
IGOTTADUMP: On your fantasy game Discord. You know, i it's the Fable's not real.
Steve-O: Oh.
JohhnyCAGE: Fable's not real.
Steve-O: That's the thing about Fable. Will Fable ever be real?
IGOTTADUMP: No. No, it's a delusion.
JohhnyCAGE: No.
IGOTTADUMP: It's a collective delusion. It's
JohhnyCAGE: Actually, Steve, you know what we haven't, you know what we haven't done in a minute.
Steve-O: so It's like a shared.
IGOTTADUMP: based off of burning plastic and consoles and PCs.
JohhnyCAGE: Uh, we haven't checked, we haven't checked our other, uh, fantasy critic.
Steve-O: Oh, man.
Steve-O: Oh, we have not in a while. You're right.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Let's let me just give that a quick, uh, proof of life.
IGOTTADUMP: What's the other are you talking about the other one?
Steve-O: Yeah. We did a test one and then I said, no, you keep that.
JohhnyCAGE: So, so we did like a, tip yeah, we did like a test one that just sees some of the, I was like testing on a feature. And, uh, so, Ooh, Oh, Steve. Oh no, dude, you're kicking my ass.
JohhnyCAGE: All right. so So we did test run. So we picked four four games and one four games and one counter pick.
JohhnyCAGE: Steve's list. Steve sitting at 57 points.
IGOTTADUMP: Wow.
JohhnyCAGE: Resident Evil Requiem, Saros Control Resident for the Horizon six.
JohhnyCAGE: So he's sitting at 57 points.
Steve-O: You do have the highest scoring game right now, though.
JohhnyCAGE: I'm sitting at 21. I have Marvel's Wolverine, GTA 6, Mina the Hollower, and 007 First Light.
JohhnyCAGE: I should have a higher score, but obviously counterpicked Resident Evil Requiem, which was bad. But Steve counterpicked GTA 6. So i it's going to be i think it's gonna tight, dude.
Steve-O: We'll see.
JohhnyCAGE: I think it's going to be like a... Whoever wins, I think it's going to be by like less than five points.
Steve-O: I think you might be right. It's going to be a big point score.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yeah. But um in terms of the real league, listen, as somebody who kind of, I kind of washed out pretty early this year.
JohhnyCAGE: I'm some like a little personally disappointed, but it's, it's kind of fun that I'm not stressed out about it. I'm like, Oh, nice.
Steve-O: You like week one shot yourself in the head by picking high guard.
JohhnyCAGE: I hope it's good.
JohhnyCAGE: I, well, no, that was last year.
IGOTTADUMP: That was so brutal, dog.
JohhnyCAGE: That's how I lost.
IGOTTADUMP: I think even I could have talked you out of that one.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. No, no, like this year, this year, it's just like, i just don't have like a lot of winners. Oh no, you're right.
Steve-O: kevin That was this year.
JohhnyCAGE: I did pick.
Steve-O: That was in January.
JohhnyCAGE: Sorry. I did. I blacked that out. Yeah. Yeah. Like I, you can't, I don't know. Like, yeah, I feel like the way our league is set up, you can't really eat shit, even though like you're almost auto.
Steve-O: No.
JohhnyCAGE: That being said, Steve, I think you're. You're projected to win still.
Steve-O: Yeah, I somehow...
JohhnyCAGE: Even though you ate some of the biggest shit.
Steve-O: Yeah, because I counterpicked Pocopia, which was like 89.
JohhnyCAGE: But everything you've picked has been like a banger.
Steve-O: eighty nine Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: if you win with a fucking negative 19 sitting like messing your score up, that's crazy.
Steve-O: yeah I mean, Rain, who like also notorious, like big dog.
JohhnyCAGE: That's.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, also eight shit.
Steve-O: Last year's winner.
JohhnyCAGE: see See, but this is interesting, right?
Steve-O: Yeah. Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: You you counterpick Pokemon, Bocopia negative 19 points to you. Rain counterpicked 007 First Light negative points.
JohhnyCAGE: And I don't.
JohhnyCAGE: He'll never defend that.
Steve-O: No.
JohhnyCAGE: That was such a bad pick. I don't know why he thought.
Steve-O: It was such a bad pick. I don't understand it either.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't know why. Like yours, I can understand. Right. Worst case, you lose maybe five points, you know, to 74, 75.
JohhnyCAGE: You know, you don't you don't get taken to the cleaners. Right.
Steve-O: We live in a wacky world where it it ended up being a 90 for a long while.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, um so unfortunately you ate shit. um I don't know why he counterpicked doubles in first life. Which is honestly, I want to play that game, man.
JohhnyCAGE: But, yeah.
Steve-O: It seems fun. It looks fun. People show it to me and they're like, this looks janky and bad.
JohhnyCAGE: ah despite Despite what John Suarez says, yeah, it's just going on it's just John trying to tell you it's bad.
Steve-O: And I'm like, I'm like, this just looks like a video game. It just looks like a video game.
JohhnyCAGE: Look how bad it looks. it like It looks pretty fun to me.
Steve-O: um
JohhnyCAGE: I think.
Steve-O: But yeah, we'll we'll see.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: We'll see how this shakes out.
JohhnyCAGE: So, Steve, you want to defend these bingo cards?
Steve-O: Uh, no. What's there to defend?
JohhnyCAGE: yeah I don't know.
Steve-O: It's, it's excellent.
JohhnyCAGE: well you know, do you want to describe the bingo cards?
Steve-O: Okay. So yeah, I, you know, yeah, thank you for doing that.
JohhnyCAGE: Well, I was covering for you for about 10 minutes.
Steve-O: You did, you did buy me time.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: Uh, so, um, I just wrote things that I think you would see in a game trailer.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay. So.
Steve-O: If you have any questions about any of them, I will answer if you would like to field them.
JohhnyCAGE: All right. Oh, you know what? I did have a question, but then I just realized I saw one of them is dead fake talk.
Steve-O: Yeah.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: But I thought you were talking about me.
Steve-O: No, I'm talking about developer when they do like that thing where they're yeah, where they're doing that little like fake talk.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah, no, no, that makes more sense.
JohhnyCAGE: Now, Steve, at my first glance, I kind of was like, you know, it's just making fun of this concept.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: But once you read into it, these are very, very real. I think you're being...
Steve-O: Very real.
JohhnyCAGE: These are very real. So things like sad song, rats, vamps.
Steve-O: hmm. Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Glad you took vamps. Crime happens. All right.
Steve-O: I'm gonna be honest, Vamps was the inspiration.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Army dude. Fair, fair. Sword. Come on. Sword may as well be free space, dude. Come on. Ball, bugs, cars...
JohhnyCAGE: Ninja. Okay. Food. and Zombies, horoscope. Samurai. Yeah. This is obnoxiously relevant.
JohhnyCAGE: I want to hate on it so bad, but I'm like, no, these could all be real.
Steve-O: You got to mark it off. You got see if you can get the whole board, fine.
JohhnyCAGE: Fuck, dude. but Dude, actually, i think, see, Steve, i actually, this is my critique. This whole board will be filled.
JohhnyCAGE: what scenario will this entire, like, you're not just going to get a bingo. You're just going to get like a,
Steve-O: Okay. What if you, what if you made it where you only could use it for one of the conferences? One of the one of them.
JohhnyCAGE: man.
Steve-O: Like just the PlayStation, just the Xbox.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't know. Just that. I would pick summer game fest. I think, I think that's where going the broadest.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, like like Steve, like looking at this, right? Is there a scenario where one of these doesn't show up?
Steve-O: You might not get rats.
JohhnyCAGE: Rats, maybe.
IGOTTADUMP: Might not get rats.
JohhnyCAGE: Might not be rats.
IGOTTADUMP: You might not get rats.
JohhnyCAGE: Except for when they, I mean, but they they did announce that rat, the famous rat game, the third one.
Steve-O: Oh, the third rat game. Yeah, you're right.
JohhnyCAGE: The third rat game's coming out, dude.
Steve-O: And it's going to feature some food and some beefy boys.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, so BV boys get eaten by rats, dude. Zombies.
IGOTTADUMP: yeah I just made one myself.
JohhnyCAGE: easy
IGOTTADUMP: So I'll just throw this in here.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
Steve-O: Oh, I want to know. want to know.
IGOTTADUMP: What do you guys think? Yeah,
JohhnyCAGE: paid one for a job.
Steve-O: so
JohhnyCAGE: All right. see See, this is what I'm talking about, man. This is what I want to see. right, Chris. Let's see. Let me look at this.
IGOTTADUMP: yeah why you take a look?
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, man. We'll see. I think N down. We got a lot of options. Except for rats. Maybe they might not be here.
IGOTTADUMP: That shows up again.
Steve-O: I'm a big the big fan of rats.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: that's the crossover.
JohhnyCAGE: ah Banana. New WWE wrestling game with guns.
Steve-O: Someone in the crowd farts loudly.
JohhnyCAGE: 12 Angry Men video game made by Ubisoft. Piss everywhere. New Tetris movie starring Nami or Bardem as The Long Block.
IGOTTADUMP: You'd be perfect.
JohhnyCAGE: Vamps, see? Vamps and rats, dude.
Steve-O: Vamps is a good one.
JohhnyCAGE: ah
IGOTTADUMP: They always show up.
JohhnyCAGE: Crash Bandicoot goes to rehab. I don't know if this is the show for that.
IGOTTADUMP: you He's going to announce it sometime.
JohhnyCAGE: Mr. Hand Simulator. That's a mod. Come on.
IGOTTADUMP: Yes.
JohhnyCAGE: but Everybody gets food, boys.
IGOTTADUMP: Well, they're probably...
Steve-O: Everybody, everybody gets food poisoning.
JohhnyCAGE: Epstein shows up. That's a mod for sure.
IGOTTADUMP: Dude. People are going to fucking flip.
Steve-O: That would be a huge shadow drop.
JohhnyCAGE: Wait, I like Donkey Kong's second X-Wife shows up and he fucks her loudly in the bathroom while wearing a mic.
IGOTTADUMP: That is the shadow drop. There won't be Of course.
Steve-O: See, now this is interesting.
JohhnyCAGE: Does he yell banana? I think that's a twofer.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, yeah.
Steve-O: it won't
IGOTTADUMP: Like those things are connected.
JohhnyCAGE: Banana! and
IGOTTADUMP: That's, that's, you'll get the.
Steve-O: Oh, but I'm now.
JohhnyCAGE: A Metroid shows up drunk? Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: It happens.
JohhnyCAGE: See, this is the one that I think there wasn't any joke here. I think this came from your heart. Boogerman movie.
IGOTTADUMP: mean, a man can dream.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. ah
Steve-O: also Boogerman.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. ah So I have a clarification here. Ninja's asshole explodes. Are you talking about the streamer or just a, oh, okay.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah. Streamer. Like, he screams.
Steve-O: That's obviously the streamer.
IGOTTADUMP: Screams. Screams for a long time.
JohhnyCAGE: Nemesis barfs and leaves. Yeah.
Steve-O: Like, are they bringing him on stage and he just gets like so nervous he throws up?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, I think he's, I'm sorry.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: I'm fucking stones are and hes leaves so such a piece of shit.
Steve-O: Then he runs out.
IGOTTADUMP: He runs.
Steve-O: i'm sorry, Jeff Keighley.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, I'm so sorry. My fucking fuck.
Steve-O: I ruined your moment, Jeff.
JohhnyCAGE: Actually, is that just, isn't that just Phil Spencer?
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, mean, what they turned him into.
JohhnyCAGE: I'm fucking so sorry.
Steve-O: yeah if we just I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm such a joke.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. You know what? if If Microsoft was what I wanted Microsoft, the company to be, Phil Spencer's punishment was would be that they put him in the Nemesis program.
IGOTTADUMP: and that would be great.
JohhnyCAGE: And then the next time we see him, he's a Nemesis.
Steve-O: right
IGOTTADUMP: and It goes after anybody who infringes on IP.
JohhnyCAGE: Kill me. I'm so sorry. They experiment on him.
Steve-O: PlayStation All-Stars.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. With his fucking minigun. Yeah, dude. Shit. Auschwitz game trailer. Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: got to happen sooner or later, but I think it's going to be announced tomorrow.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: Kirby eats half the crowd, gets dense death penalty. See, this is one I think we're going to have to sit on for a while. sort to see it's off
Steve-O: Yeah, that one has a wah because it has cause and effect.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, one.
IGOTTADUMP: think I think it's pretty obvious.
JohhnyCAGE: One, they need to catch him and arrest him, which I think would take a while.
IGOTTADUMP: if he If he eats half the crowd and they arrest him, he's going he's getting killed.
Steve-O: It depends on what state they're they're recording in.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah, but like also court, dude.
IGOTTADUMP: For him, though, he's like a triple offender.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, but like court, like it's going to take forever to get that sorted out.
Steve-O: Your Honor, may I say that the the defendant does hail from Dreamland, so
IGOTTADUMP: You should see him in court.
JohhnyCAGE: You might want to rethink that one, Chris. Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Do the laws of man apply to him?
IGOTTADUMP: That only flies for so many times, Steve. He's getting the chair.
JohhnyCAGE: He's a flight risk.
Steve-O: ah Yeah, but he'll just eat a tomato again and come back to life full health.
JohhnyCAGE: What if he eats the electricity that goes through his body?
Steve-O: You didn't think about that, did you? What if he eats the chair?
IGOTTADUMP: Are we going to have a shocker situation on our hands?
JohhnyCAGE: I say we give him the lethal injection.
Steve-O: what if he eats the needle?
JohhnyCAGE: He eats the need.
Steve-O: people
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, no.
Steve-O: He starts becoming some sort of poison spinning. It's Kirby.
JohhnyCAGE: cause instance he If he hits down on the D-pad, we don't know what will happen.
IGOTTADUMP: Guys, you're looking too deep into this. If he shows up to that crowd and needs 50 people, you're going to get the X. Okay?
Steve-O: Yeah, OK, that's fair.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay, does he spit him out or does he kill him?
Steve-O: That's fair.
IGOTTADUMP: That's all I'm saying.
Steve-O: Well, i feel
IGOTTADUMP: No, they're dead, Devin.
Steve-O: ah you felt
JohhnyCAGE: He has no peace.
IGOTTADUMP: No, no.
Steve-O: I feel like Randy Orton with a shotgun will take care of him.
IGOTTADUMP: That's in the video game.
JohhnyCAGE: but Wait, is that on here?
IGOTTADUMP: It's a wrestling game with guns.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, never mind.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: I thought Chris just added another one that's just added Randy Orton.
IGOTTADUMP: Randy Ward shows up with a gun.
JohhnyCAGE: I just really like Randy Orton. So even if I don't get...
IGOTTADUMP: He's going to promote the game with a gun. He's probably gonna shoot into the crowd.
JohhnyCAGE: um Man, that could be a good one. Like, which w w which famous WWE wrestler would have what kind of gun?
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, that's the fun part.
JohhnyCAGE: Cactus Jack, obviously six-shooter.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Randy Orton, shotgun. i
IGOTTADUMP: Mankind's got a big elephant gun.
JohhnyCAGE: mankind is the el I think the rock, the rock probably has a sniper rifle.
IGOTTADUMP: Shoots one shot.
JohhnyCAGE: Maybe some slick and slick stone cold bazooka.
Steve-O: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: i would say Uzi or something.
JohhnyCAGE: think just launches a bazooka, a beer
Steve-O: Yeah, that's a big that's a big hitter. Kane would be a ah flamethrower.
IGOTTADUMP: You guys missed one of the best ones on here. Castlevania Family Matters crossover announcement.
Steve-O: I didn't know that was a joke. I thought you were just making that an official announcement.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah I was excited for that
Steve-O: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: I mean, that's going to happen, right?
Steve-O: What is an Urkel?
IGOTTADUMP: Whether that we want it
JohhnyCAGE: one.
IGOTTADUMP: Did I do that? After three he kills Dracula.
Steve-O: ah
IGOTTADUMP: Shab's like, ooh.
JohhnyCAGE: And then he turned...
IGOTTADUMP: Ooh.
Steve-O: Oh,
IGOTTADUMP: Ooh.
JohhnyCAGE: Well, no, because because then his second form was just Stefan or Cal.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, dude.
JohhnyCAGE: ah you's are You saw you defeated me!
Steve-O: ah oh dude.
IGOTTADUMP: Fucking cool urquh is Dracula. Know that.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah, like when you kill Dracula in his deep Dracula form is just Stefan Erkel.
Steve-O: Aria, I'm sorry. Aria Virkle.
IGOTTADUMP: Are you, Urquh? He's so handsome
Steve-O: Oh, man, that's a good that's a good idea for a box art mock up.
JohhnyCAGE: All
Steve-O: All right, let's get some news going.
IGOTTADUMP: Okay,
JohhnyCAGE: right, let's get some news.
IGOTTADUMP: that's fair.
JohhnyCAGE: So. so
JohhnyCAGE: yeah Let's go. So, um man, kind of a bummer. I talked to John a little bit about this, ah but Bungie is officially kind of putting the game in maintenance mode.
Steve-O: That's
JohhnyCAGE: Final content update coming in June. ah i was like, John, what do you think, man? He's like, yeah, he said he's going to probably get on with the group one last time.
JohhnyCAGE: Kind of play through the content.
IGOTTADUMP: Woo. That's sad.
JohhnyCAGE: It's shame, man.
Steve-O: and so
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, dude. Um, keep kind of keeping games first and then we'll we'll switch. Uh, this is pretty sick. Uh, i don't love the, now the way this was announced. Um, CD project red announces third expansion for the Witcher three, a game that came out 10 years, 11 years ago.
JohhnyCAGE: um
IGOTTADUMP: This is wild.
Steve-O: That's wild.
JohhnyCAGE: And this is officially going to be a bridge from three to four. The sword that he has is Siri sword that you see in that like tech demo.
JohhnyCAGE: um
Steve-O: Mmm.
JohhnyCAGE: So like it's going to fucking roll. But one, I I was kind of hoping it was going to come out this year because it had been so heavily rumored and to like it was like a live stream and they're like, oh, here's some artwork. And they just announced it. And I'm like,
JohhnyCAGE: You're telling me like the guys that put out some of the best trailers in the business. Announces a crazy expansion like which your expansions are not what I would say DLC. I feel like they're like old school expansions like, oh, this is another 20 to 30 hour experience um with just this content without a trailer.
JohhnyCAGE: Actually, I think we're going to get a witcher. I think we're going to get this a trailer for this this week.
Steve-O: That would make sense.
JohhnyCAGE: But um I think it's pretty sick. Dead by Daylight finishes their Infinity Gauntlet with Jason Voorhees officially joining.
Steve-O: They did it. They got the Mount Rushmore of horror icons.
JohhnyCAGE: They got it. I was actually going to be like, oh, what's what's next? But then I was like, oh, there's like, again, horror reticence. There's like, Art the Clown, dude.
JohhnyCAGE: Get him.
Steve-O: So they made this announcement by putting out a 13 hour stream that they just dropped at 9 p.m. on a Friday, i think.
IGOTTADUMP: What the fuck?
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
Steve-O: And it ended at 10 a.m. ah where they finally went into the cabin. But it was essentially like, you know how they do those like you logs where it'll just be like a log burning and there'll be stuff happening like every like now and again, but not much.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Steve-O: It was kind of like that. And a lot of people were like, oh, no, it's going to be slender, man. And like, you know, if you if you see a shack in the woods, you're like, that's Jason Shaq. That's totally going to Jason.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Like considering we can't do the entity that is evil dead. ah It's going to be Jason.
Steve-O: Right.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: But that's cool.
JohhnyCAGE: I mean.
Steve-O: You know, they did it and he's really fun. He's I got to play the PTB, ah which is their test um like kind of branch for the game.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, he's out. He's okay.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
Steve-O: And he is a ton of fun. He essentially can grab the hooks off the hook or random like spikes and he javelin throws it into people
IGOTTADUMP: but
JohhnyCAGE: yeah
Steve-O: And he can pin you against walls and he has ah like three special like Mori finishers that he can do.
JohhnyCAGE: i you I was just about to ask. I was like, i wonder what his more he's going to be.
Steve-O: Yeah, they're very good.
JohhnyCAGE: But that's cool, man. Yeah, man. It's just a game I don't particularly like vibe with, I think, mechanically, but it's always something that I'm always like.
JohhnyCAGE: I'm just excited that that game is popular. I'm like, yeah, man.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Hell yeah.
Steve-O: One for the horror franchises.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. um ah Also not great news.
IGOTTADUMP: Christ.
JohhnyCAGE: PlayStation delifts and shuts down servers for Destruction All-Stars. um The game's not good. That doesn't mean that it shouldn't exist.
JohhnyCAGE: But it's a shame that it doesn't exist now. It's like...
Steve-O: How long does a service go until no one is playing it?
JohhnyCAGE: I don't know.
Steve-O: And does it keep going or does it just shut down?
JohhnyCAGE: I think when they well, when they shut down the servers or like you're we're done.
Steve-O: We're out.
JohhnyCAGE: Out, bro. And it's like the game's not I played it.
Steve-O: Because I remember...
JohhnyCAGE: It's not good.
Steve-O: this came out at launch and we played it for like, i don't know, like 20 minutes.
JohhnyCAGE: it's Yeah.
Steve-O: Yeah. like It was like, this isn't fun. This ain't rocket league.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah, exactly. And, you know, kind of sucked. um And that was it. And that sucks. But it's a shame because somebody was playing it, man. But I don't know. I don't.
JohhnyCAGE: I'm not the money guy. I don't know how much maintenance mode essentially. cost Like Destiny is not getting shut down. It's just going to be like, yeah, it's just going to here and it's going to be there for a very, very, very long time.
Steve-O: Until PlayStation just decides to take it away.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, until they close down Bungie and then
Steve-O: Because. Good Lord, does it sound like Bungie put them in the hole quite a bit?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, man. And like, I don't I don't even know how much of it's Sony's fault. It kind of seems like Bungie.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: It's just like, oh, what if we just sucked? What we just sucked for the kind of like a rare situation, right? Microsoft yourself buys rare and then rare is like, oh, by the way, we fucking stink.
Steve-O: hmm.
Steve-O: There's definitely like an interesting point where like when enough people in a studio leave, like it's not that studio anymore.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, you didn't know, bro? I'm sorry.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, it's not the same studio. Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: The Theseus's ship of studios, correct?
Steve-O: Yeah, you're right. That's a very good analogy.
JohhnyCAGE: And we did talk about this before already, but Fable got delayed to February 2027. It sucks because it was kind of like you knew it was going to happen, but i was like, why can't it happen to a different Xbox game?
Steve-O: Yeah, there's
JohhnyCAGE: Like, I want to play Fable.
Steve-O: there's that part of me that's like, ah Capcom can do it. Capcom can put out three bangers in the same year.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, but but it's like I think the concern was like Fable was going to drop. The same month as GTA six, and it's like.
Steve-O: GTA.
Steve-O: I don't think.
JohhnyCAGE: like It makes sense, and I and I'm but I'm still mad because I was like delay fucking the Halo remake.
Steve-O: Yeah, i like I really just like hate how scared everyone is.
JohhnyCAGE: You know, like years.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, I know, right? That's such a chicken shit move.
Steve-O: It really is. And it's like we're getting all these like kind of like surprisingly decent games now because they were scared last year of GTA, I think.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah Yeah, it's like cool. I'm excited that GTA 6 is coming, but it's like really fucking up the vibe, man. Really harsh in the vibe.
Steve-O: Right. And like Xbox kind of needed this where it's like, hey, if you put out Forza six and Fable in the same year, that's a different story.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, and key like gear the it was Forza, Gears, and Halo, and Fable were all supposed to come out this year, and that would have been like empty the clip.
Steve-O: That's like a.
Steve-O: Yeah.
Steve-O: Y'all are kind of back in, you're back in on making games. Good for you.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, at the very least, you can't shit on them for not putting out games, you know?
Steve-O: right
JohhnyCAGE: It's just, like, sucks because it's like, yeah, it makes sense. But, like, I don't know.
IGOTTADUMP: i were I would have respected them more if they released Fable this year too.
JohhnyCAGE: me
JohhnyCAGE: The same week.
Steve-O: Sim.
JohhnyCAGE: Fuck you.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, would respected them.
JohhnyCAGE: Head to head.
IGOTTADUMP: Because it's like, yeah, it's Steve saying you gotta unload the clip at this point.
JohhnyCAGE: And, like, dude, what? Is it going to be on Game Pass anyway? Like, it's going to be on Game Pass.
Steve-O: Is it on a Xbox?
JohhnyCAGE: Fable?
Steve-O: No, GTA.
JohhnyCAGE: No, no, no. Yeah, i think so.
Steve-O: Okay.
JohhnyCAGE: But I don't think GTA is not going Game Pass. Like, Fable will be.
Steve-O: No.
JohhnyCAGE: So it's not like, oh, are you missing all those sales?
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, no, you're not.
Steve-O: Right.
JohhnyCAGE: You fucking dorks. Anyway, going over to some live action movie TV stuff, we got a trailer for Vault Rising, which I think is going to be a miniseries, which should be what it should be.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't want another. Like, if that thing's like six episodes, I'll watch it. But yeah, this looks sick.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, maybe.
Steve-O: Y'all sound so buised out.
JohhnyCAGE: Well, yeah, you're kind of boys now and it dropped like the day after. And you're like...
IGOTTADUMP: I like Soldier Boy quite a bit, but I don't know if I got any more left of me.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, it's kind of like... It was cool when it was the boys, but anything else that's not directly the boys is kind of... It's tough. It's tough. um I'll probably give it a shot, though. This did look good. I'm not going to say it didn't. Marvel's X-Men 97 Season 2.
JohhnyCAGE: God, it felt like five years ago when Season 1 came out, but... that's that was so good dude that first season was so goddamn good um i'm slightly concerned just because of all the the drama around the showrunner it's like sucks because like oh the show's so good but it it also apparently came at the expense of like the guy being a total shithead and who knows what else um and that sucks because it's like
Steve-O: Yeah, it really was.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, it was pretty be amazing.
JohhnyCAGE: no one says like talented people and proper etiquette have to be in the remotely same space. And that's kind of a shame. So it's like a season two is a significant downgrade.
JohhnyCAGE: It still wouldn't be worth bringing back a shitty guy for it, but it's just like it's bummed you out across.
IGOTTADUMP: No, no, of course not.
Steve-O: Mm-hmm.
IGOTTADUMP: It's just a shitty, it's a shitty situation all around.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, yeah. um Man, yeah, you know what?
IGOTTADUMP: Let's hope that's not the case. Let's hope that's good.
JohhnyCAGE: This is pretty sick. This this was fairly recent. ah The Sonic Writers and Hunger Games studio is putting out a Streets of Rage movie.
IGOTTADUMP: Is that what that is?
JohhnyCAGE: And that's, yeah, yeah, they're working on a Streets of Rage movie.
IGOTTADUMP: A live action?
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, um I think so. I don't know if it's confirmed, but I mean, it's, yeah, dude, that's,
Steve-O: That's wild.
JohhnyCAGE: It's so cool, dude.
JohhnyCAGE: If it's done right. um
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, I don't think it.
Steve-O: If you made a street shirt rage movie with like the DNA of the warriors.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, and like I hate to say it because it's not out yet and we all come dunked on at least that first round.
Steve-O: That would be awesome.
JohhnyCAGE: But like if it had like kind of like that, like crazy vibe of like the Street Fighter trailer.
Steve-O: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: where it's like, I don't know, just clearly colorful and add in that sick fucking music.
Steve-O: Like rampant energy.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. And then just like, just see Axl do a crazy combo and uppercut some guy to death. Like, oh man, I'm pretty sick.
Steve-O: That would be super sick.
JohhnyCAGE: You know what else pretty sick? Axl Knight directing Escape from New York reimagining?
Steve-O: Chris.
JohhnyCAGE: This is Chris's favorite thing.
Steve-O: You did it.
JohhnyCAGE: This is,
Steve-O: You did it. You asked for that reimagining of Escape from New York. It just, you didn't, you didn't pin the director when you made the wish on the monkey's paw.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, you should have been a little bit more specific, Chris.
IGOTTADUMP: I guess I blame myself. Really.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, that one's your fault.
IGOTTADUMP: You know, I blame myself.
JohhnyCAGE: This does feel targeted at you, though. This is like, Chris, you even the vibes have been too good. How do we how do we harsh them for you?
Steve-O: I didn't even know Zack Snyder was interested in anything like this.
JohhnyCAGE: it Anything? I'm just on way.
IGOTTADUMP: I think personally, it's he is desperate and the studio has the rights and they're like, you yeah, you made a ream good remake before. Let's do it again, baby.
JohhnyCAGE: Who's your snake flisking, Chris?
IGOTTADUMP: In Zack Snyder.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. who
IGOTTADUMP: In Zack Snyder's Escape from New York.
JohhnyCAGE: Which which listen, listen, listen, I know this is going to sound like bad, right? But like that he's not a terrible caster. you Like he's his casting decisions.
IGOTTADUMP: So my snake Plissken in Zack Snyder's Escape from New York is Batista.
JohhnyCAGE: I've been pretty good.
Steve-O: oh
IGOTTADUMP: um he
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: and He can barely fit in any chair they put him in. I want to put that, like make that a big part of the movie.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: I'm going to ask him to do steroids again, too, because I'm Zack Snyder.
Steve-O: Bring him back.
JohhnyCAGE: And then, listen, I get it. You're hard and you're like 55, but like you need to be 600 pounds.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
Steve-O: You're weirding this out with your big head and your skinny body.
JohhnyCAGE: I don't like this.
IGOTTADUMP: Have to have him. got to put him in a wig. i don't think he can grow that hair anymore, but that's fine.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, he's not. I think he's... ah yeah You think he pulls off the iPad?
IGOTTADUMP: I'm done.
JohhnyCAGE: I'm done. Don't ask me anymore.
IGOTTADUMP: ah
JohhnyCAGE: I'm done.
IGOTTADUMP: ah
JohhnyCAGE: I've done it. Like the end of and. right.
IGOTTADUMP: i got nothing left, man. Nothing that matters.
JohhnyCAGE: Like a Daniel planes, you just killed me.
IGOTTADUMP: It's all being...
JohhnyCAGE: and He's like, I'm finished.
Steve-O: I'm finished.
IGOTTADUMP: Everything's being taken from me, apparently. Starting with Escape from New York.
JohhnyCAGE: But do that that Lex Luthor suit looks so sick. Did you see it?
Steve-O: It's a cool damn suit.
JohhnyCAGE: I love it. That's exactly the vibe I want. Like, yes, please. And hey, hey, listen, you know, we take one, we give you one.
IGOTTADUMP: That is cool.
JohhnyCAGE: Danny Boyle hopes to film 28 years later, three next year.
IGOTTADUMP: That's fucking cool, dude.
JohhnyCAGE: I know it doesn't really tell me it's a confirmation, but he's like, no, I want to do it. And this is what we're doing. um
IGOTTADUMP: Hell yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Let's let's go. um Steve, you still haven't seen Couple, right?
Steve-O: No, I haven't seen the trilogy. The soon-to-be trilogy, I should say.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, dude.
IGOTTADUMP: Dude, Bone Temple.
JohhnyCAGE: Dude, Bone Temple.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, see the first movie just to watch Bone Temple. Really.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
Steve-O: i got to get there, yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, first movie's not bad.
Steve-O: You're right.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, it's worth it.
JohhnyCAGE: It's just like Bone Temple's so good.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, it's...
JohhnyCAGE: um And listen, I was talking about this. I was kind of i was vibing with the vibe of End of Oak Street in the initial teaser.
JohhnyCAGE: I had no idea this was a dinosaur movie. Interesting.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, dude.
Steve-O: Oh. so
JohhnyCAGE: Interesting.
IGOTTADUMP: It was in the first trailer.
JohhnyCAGE: No, they don't show anything.
IGOTTADUMP: Yes, they do. They're running by the window.
JohhnyCAGE: You see something run by the window. I don't think you see dinosaurs.
IGOTTADUMP: no it's fucking a dinosaur foot, dude.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah
IGOTTADUMP: I know what I saw, man. in the first trailer.
JohhnyCAGE: I'm sorry. I didn't know was talking to the fucking number one fan over here.
IGOTTADUMP: love Abrams,
JohhnyCAGE: Jesus Christ.
IGOTTADUMP: i
JohhnyCAGE: My bad. Yeah, I don't.
IGOTTADUMP: love j j abras god damn it You son of a bitch.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah i don't You know, let somebody else play with dinosaurs. Fuck it. Why not? I'm in.
IGOTTADUMP: It's, I guess, somewhat intriguing concept. It's just, you know, has to be executed well.
JohhnyCAGE: I like the idea of that, like, um like, imagine the cul-de-sac from the burbs that gets transported to dinosaur land.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: Like, that's cool.
IGOTTADUMP: That is like, it's ah it's an intriguing concept.
JohhnyCAGE: if If the other neighbors are interesting characters, I think this could rule.
IGOTTADUMP: I just...
JohhnyCAGE: if it's just focused on this one fucking family, despite there being an entire block of other neighbors and houses, like that sucks.
IGOTTADUMP: I'll pitch you an idea that I think would make it great.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay.
IGOTTADUMP: One of his neighbors is a raptor.
Steve-O: Oh, okay.
IGOTTADUMP: And he has raptor kids.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh, wait.
IGOTTADUMP: And he he gets treated like shit. And he's the one that brought the whole cul-de-sac back in time. Because he's like, I'm going to be one of my people again.
JohhnyCAGE: Oh,
JohhnyCAGE: You know, I think it was on your side until that last bit.
IGOTTADUMP: That's the end.
Steve-O: Yeah. Once you introduce time travel, it kind of ruined it.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: It's part of the movie!
JohhnyCAGE: It kind of doesn't feel realistic, Chris.
Steve-O: Eh.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah But like, you I'm just saying, like, if if this movie is just about this dumb family, then that sucks.
Steve-O: Unless if they're a really dumb family.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah.
IGOTTADUMP: Mmm.
JohhnyCAGE: that's true but like like to me like one of the things i really miss from those old movies those older films the 80s and the 90s is like the expansion of the other character like other characters was was that fun and like
IGOTTADUMP: ah
Steve-O: You want there to be a kick-ass neighbor who's got like some sort of like chainsaw car.
JohhnyCAGE: i want i want a neighbor that's a gun nut i want a neighbor that
Steve-O: Tremors. you You want tremors, Devin.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah, when movies were good, when Tremors was a thing.
IGOTTADUMP: yeah
JohhnyCAGE: no but like, I don't know, like any sort of like John McTiernan movie or.
IGOTTADUMP: I think you're going to get something like that. I think if anything, it's going to be ah quite the expose of the modern suburb and how everybody is kind of crazy. You know, like everybody has their own little picadillos.
JohhnyCAGE: Yeah. Yeah. And listen, I guess I'm the worst dude in the world because I didn't know there were dinosaurs in this movie.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
JohhnyCAGE: They confirmed the dinos.
Steve-O: That makes you feel better.
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah.
Steve-O: I didn't even know about this movie.
IGOTTADUMP: You should be feeling, you should feel bad.
JohhnyCAGE: Even though I specifically talked about it like few weeks ago.
IGOTTADUMP: that We watch this in theaters.
Steve-O: Oh, no, I knew about it, but like I didn't know the twist.
IGOTTADUMP: Steve, get with the program, will you?
JohhnyCAGE: Come on, Steve. Use your stupid eyes.
Steve-O: My eyes. oh they're so stupid.
JohhnyCAGE: your stupid eyes and use them.
Steve-O: You know what, Devin? I hope a raptor sneaks up on you.
JohhnyCAGE: Ran by my window. I should have known.
Steve-O: Oh, it could have been some sort of gremlin perhaps.
JohhnyCAGE: was fucking blur.
IGOTTADUMP: Alan.
Steve-O: how
IGOTTADUMP: We all remember that.
JohhnyCAGE: and
JohhnyCAGE: That's true.
Steve-O: ah
JohhnyCAGE: That's priest.
IGOTTADUMP: I don't remember that.
Steve-O: That's the end of the movie. And you know what? That would be J.J. Abrams making a comedy.
IGOTTADUMP: That's hilarious. It's art.
Steve-O: And then the dinosaur farts.
JohhnyCAGE: yeah
IGOTTADUMP: It's...
JohhnyCAGE: Farts in a very inopportune time.
Steve-O: Johnny Knoxville as the Raptor.
IGOTTADUMP: Oh, that's good. Casting, Steve. This is a good movie, if that happens.
JohhnyCAGE: That's a Zack Snyder look quality cast.
IGOTTADUMP: Mmm.
JohhnyCAGE: I got Raptor.
IGOTTADUMP: He might be in my escape from New York.
Steve-O: What about Wyatt Russell?
IGOTTADUMP: directed by
IGOTTADUMP: Steve, he doesn't need the paycheck right now. i think he's doing all right.
Steve-O: As the T-Rex.
IGOTTADUMP: Okay. you I didn't know where you were going. I thought you why were going one way.
JohhnyCAGE: Okay. Yes. I immediately into this.
IGOTTADUMP: You went right the other.
Steve-O: is it
IGOTTADUMP: Yeah, I'd see him as a big dinosaur.
JohhnyCAGE: You know what? I think, um, I think instead of dinosaurs, there should just be power slap competitors.
