In this episode Dr. Brett Scott sits down with Rick Meldrum CSCS, who Brett's former weightlifting coach, and a very good friend! 

Rick has a great background in the field of strength and conditioning as well as research with publications on the APRE training model, which is the main topic of discussion on this podcast.  APRE is something that Brett uses a lot inside of his gym, Arkitect Fitness, as well as from a rehab standpoint with Barbell Therapy. 

For about the first hour of this podcast Rick and Brett discussed what APRE training is, who it is good for, how to use it effectively and properly,  why we shouldn't use it with certain populations, and why it is so applicable in other populations. They also talked a little bit about ARPE versus RPE, or reps and reserve type training, as well as some other periodization schemes that can be applicable. The last bit of the podcast they dive into all things related to business!
