122. Nobody Wants Paramount to Buy Warner Brothers

Adrian and Simon review director Aziz Ansari’s comedy film, Good Fortune. The two pals also examine the potential consequences of a purchase of Warner Brothers by Paramount (or any other major studio, for that matter) and Disney’s bizarre choice to not go ahead with director Steven Soderbergh’s Star Wars sequel film with actor Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren. They also discuss Paramount’s prolific Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan’s new deal at NBCUniversal and his upcoming Call of Duty film with director Peter Berg. Meanwhile, the buddies talk FX’s Alien: Earth, HBO’s The Chair Company, Predator Badlands, a potential new Tobey Maguire Spider-Man film, and Scream 7. They also find time to talk about Halloween traditions, converse about moments where they might’ve been abducted as children, and get a little carried away with their “A Look to the Future” guessing game.
