Speaker: Don't let anybody convince you that it's easy.

Speaker: All that will do is give you a false expectation and make you risk giving up because you think you're not good enough.

Speaker: Here's the traditional example of this.

Speaker: New expert diet reveals that you can lose 20 pounds of belly fat in seven days.

Speaker: And then you go and you try this diet and it's eat four leaves of lettuce and one peanut a day.

Speaker: And you don't lose that kind of weight because your circumstances are different.

Speaker: Maybe your metabolism needs to adapt.

Speaker: Maybe you can't actually eat that little food because you exert yourself during the day.

Speaker: Maybe your metabolism is too high.

Speaker: Maybe you started out without 20 pounds to lose.

Speaker: There's all sorts of different circumstances that you have to adapt to.

Speaker: But there's all these sort of gimmicky tricks out there trying to sell you the easy way.

Speaker: The easy way does not exist.

Speaker: There are simple ways.

Speaker: That's technically a form of easy in that you don't have to spend a long time wrapping your brain around it.

Speaker: But at the end of the day, you still have to put in the work.

Speaker: You still have to have patience.

Speaker: You still have to have discipline.

Speaker: And it's hard to do that.

Speaker: It really is.

Speaker: It's hard to get through that period of consistency where you're not seeing results.

Speaker: But you have to.

Speaker: You have to trust the process.

Speaker: And even still, the process isn't always going to be right.

Speaker: You may go a year down a path and realize that it's not going to work.

Speaker: It's not the solution that you were supposed to go for.

Speaker: So how do you define the difference?

Speaker: At the very least, what you need to do is stop believing these easy sales pitches.

Speaker: Nothing is going to be easy.

Speaker: If anybody tells you that it's going to be fast, that you're going to get rich quick, that you're going to get thin quick, that you're going to get abs quick, that you're going to have a 10-figure business in 10 years,

Speaker: I don't know about that.

Speaker: I mean, I haven't been doing this for 10 years, but there are very few companies that succeed at hitting a billion-dollar valuation in 10 years.

Speaker: So take another example, a $1,000 a month side hustle in one day.

Speaker: You just got to start a Shopify store, start buying stuff on Alibaba, get pre-orders from people, run Facebook ads, and you'll be good to go.

Speaker: It's easy.

Speaker: I drive a Huracan now.

Speaker: I don't think that's gonna work.

Speaker: I think that person is selling $997 Shopify courses and lying to you about how easy it is.

Speaker: So what are you gonna do instead?

Speaker: You're going to need to dedicate yourself to doing hard things for a consistent period of time.

Speaker: You're going to need to dedicate yourself to taking rigorous measurement so that you can track your results.

Speaker: You're going to weigh yourself on the scale.

Speaker: You're going to take progress pictures.

Speaker: You're going to take a screenshot of your bank account every day.

Speaker: That's the only way in which you can track your progress.

Speaker: And in doing so, what you will come to realize is that you can adapt along the way.

Speaker: You can make little tweaks that improve.

Speaker: And this is how it goes.

Speaker: This is how you become an expert in anything.

Speaker: This is how you get better at life.

Speaker: Is you commit yourself to a result.

Speaker: You learn about a potential path to achieve that result.

Speaker: And then you rigorously iterate.

Speaker: You learn from your mistakes.

Speaker: You work with consistency.

Speaker: And you see what results come of it.

Speaker: At no point is that going to be easy.

Speaker: But it is exactly what you have to do.

Speaker: And I know that the only way in which you can successfully continue doing that day in and day out for years is to stay driven.
