Speaker: If you're driven and you're listening to this podcast, then I'm going to assume that you want to be an abnormal person.
Speaker: You have abnormal goals.
Speaker: You want to exceed the norm that society has set out for us.
Speaker: You want to be more rich than average.
Speaker: You want to be smarter than average.
Speaker: You want to have better relationships than average.
Speaker: You want to be in better shape than average.
Speaker: And you want to drive better fucking cars than average.
Speaker: Well, I hear you.
Speaker: And I fucking agree with you.
Speaker: I want everything in my life to be significantly better than average.
Speaker: And the reason for that is because I'm harnessing abnormalities about myself.
Speaker: I've learned to do that.
Speaker: I can't sit still.
Speaker: So I might as well dedicate significant amounts of energy to things that I value to the world so that I can achieve and receive value back.
Speaker: I suffer from extreme negative self-talk.
Speaker: So I should harness that to pinpoint every single weakness that I have and work to improve upon them.
Speaker: Those two things are abnormal about me.
Speaker: I have more energy and I have worse negative self-talk.
Speaker: Lastly, I have seen what the end of my life would look like.
Speaker: I tried to kill myself, but I didn't.
Speaker: I survived my own suicide attempts and I stand here today with another chance at life and I'm not going to waste it.
Speaker: So, all of those things make me a bit abnormal in the world.
Speaker: And I bet you're listening to this because on some level, you can relate to that.
Speaker: You can relate to feeling a bit abnormal.
Speaker: Well, that's the best thing that could happen to you.
Speaker: Let me tell you why.
Speaker: Let me tell you why that's the best thing that could happen to you.
Speaker: Because if you want to have above average results in your life, then you're going to need abnormal inputs.
Speaker: Your inputs need to exceed what society deems is appropriate.
Speaker: And I got a great taste of this recently.
Speaker: I have people who are very close to me who have started very consistently telling me that they are concerned about me.
Speaker: But I'm not concerned about myself.
Speaker: Those who are truly closest to me are not concerned about me.
Speaker: In fact, they're happy for me.
Speaker: They are empowering to me.
Speaker: They're there alongside me.
Speaker: Those who are concerned about me are people I don't want to be like.
Speaker: They're people who I don't agree with on most things.
Speaker: There they are saying that I'm doing things wrong.
Speaker: Good.
Speaker: Good.
Speaker: I'm glad you think I'm doing things wrong.
Speaker: I'm very glad.
Speaker: If you want...
Speaker: your own little run of the mill life, then your inputs can be average.
Speaker: Your inputs can be acceptable.
Speaker: But if you want the results that you achieve to be extraordinary, you have to put in extraordinary acts.
Speaker: It's that simple.
Speaker: The cheap seats are the furthest away.
Speaker: They're the cheapest.
Speaker: But I bet it has the most armchair quarterbacks.
Speaker: And that's what I want you to be very much aware of today.
Speaker: Is the armchair quarterbacks do not dictate your life.
Speaker: You dictate your life.
Speaker: And if you want to be abnormal, if you have these abnormal traits that you can harness to create better value for your life, then go fucking use them.
Speaker: That's it for this week.
Speaker: Stay driven.
