Primetime Pints: Welcome to... Primetime at Pints. I'm your host, Tanner Green. This is my co -host, Dylan Guthrie. Done. What are they here for?
Dylan: Hmm. Big games, cold drinks, hot takes.
Primetime Pints: God, so close. Cold beers, you ding dong. Always messing it up. It is Sunday the 11th. We are... Right at halftime for the Ravens and the Falcons.
Primetime Pints: Dylan? Is this the game that you thought you were going to see?
Dylan: Oh, yeah. This is not at all the game I thought I was going to see.
Primetime Pints: No.
Dylan: I thought there was gonna be a little more points played. I thought there was gonna be a little more running back action. But...
Primetime Pints: Yeah, you know
Dylan: You get what you get. You don't do a fit.
Primetime Pints: I said it last week. I was down on the Falcons for two weeks, but then once Pennix came back. They look like a totally different team.
Dylan: I mean... I wouldn't say they're playing great football in this game, but they're doing enough to obviously keep the win. Right now?
Primetime Pints: Oh, is that your predict?
Dylan: Their defense is playing phenomenally.
Primetime Pints: is Is that your second half prediction?
Dylan: What?
Primetime Pints: the Falcons will win this game.
Dylan: ah Yeah. That's my prediction.
Primetime Pints: Okay. Alright.
Dylan: That defense is playing really good.
Primetime Pints: We'll see.
Dylan: I mean, that's how they got their first seven points.
Primetime Pints: We'll see.
Dylan: That's all I need to do is just have them score. They're outscoring the Ravens' offense.
Primetime Pints: okay
Primetime Pints: Well, with Tyler Huntley, it's not taking much. if
Dylan: Fair enough.
Primetime Pints: All right, this week, we already kind of announced it. Yeah. Beer of the Week is a good old... Bush Light.
Dylan: I went a bit taller.
Primetime Pints: Busha - Bush Light's a a little special to me. It was my first beer. And it's my go -to beer. So I've got a little variety pack. I got the standard. I got the Bass Pro Shop. collector.
Primetime Pints: And... I got the, for the farmers, I had three different. Bush Light. can styles. All in the...
Dylan: This is the...
Primetime Pints: All in the garage fridge.
Dylan: I... I have to own up. I forgot to grab my beer for the week, so I had to have my wife grab me one, and she got me the 25 -ouncer, so that's what we're going with.
Primetime Pints: That's more than a pint.
Dylan: But was... So a bush light was your first beer. It's your beer of choice.
Primetime Pints: Yep.
Dylan: Do you think that's normal for everybody? My first beer was a Miller Lite. Absolutely hated it. But now it is my beer of choice.
Primetime Pints: oh um You know, I don't know. I think it's just depending on like... what you drink the most of for light beer. I don't know that it has to be the first one.
Dylan: Fair enough.
Primetime Pints: It's just like, usually your first one is the one that you're around the most, like with your. Your people.
Dylan: ah That's probably going to be Bush Light or nat Natty Light. That'd probably be the two that I've been around the most, but I just... I think my acquired taste has become Miller Lite.
Primetime Pints: Hmm.
Dylan: The first time I had a Miller Lite was when they were in the blue cans.
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: Mm.
Dylan: So it was a while ago, what, 2013, 2014?
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: Underage drinking, Dylan.
Dylan: Sigh. Cut it out.
Primetime Pints: Um, My pint glass, my pint glass is and apparently not a pint glass.
Dylan: Cut that.
Primetime Pints: It's big.
Dylan: Oh, God.
Primetime Pints: It's a nice Coca -Cola glass. Uh... The Cowboys didn't deserve to. to have the glass this week or the flag. As you can see, we're going with my alma mater, the UCM mules.
Dylan: Go Mules. Snout out.
Primetime Pints: Go Meals.
Dylan: Mine is lakefrontbury. And Milwaukee. If you ever go to Milwaukee, you need to stop by lakefront it's one of the best breweries you can go to in the country Highly recommend it.
Dylan: It's great.
Primetime Pints: Big brewery guy.
Dylan: It's like a Very comedic.
Primetime Pints: You bet.
Dylan: Tour, it's awesome.
Primetime Pints: Hmm. Well. I don't have any plans to go to Milwaukee soon, but if I do...
Dylan: Hey, go watch the Bucs game.
Primetime Pints: Shout out Lakefront. You want us to be ah a pint of the wheat? Send us a six pack.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: All right, let's roll into this week's. barbet Once again, for anybody who hasn't seen the show. Barbet is a weekly. trivia section. We do.
Primetime Pints: Best of three. All time series right now is tied up one to one. Right now. Yeah.
Dylan: There's 1 -1.
Primetime Pints: It's one to one. and We have a rotating guest every week. Except for this week. We had a special request for my wife Jessica to come back because she's been a lifelong Ravens fan.
Primetime Pints: And tonight's game is the Ravens and the Falcons. so We got Jessica again here. and Go ahead and give us some questions. All right. Question number one. Which is not about the Ravens.
Dylan: oh
Primetime Pints: who who holds the Falcons franchise record for career passing yards.
Dylan: Buzz.
Primetime Pints: Buzz.
Dylan: Matt Ryan.
Primetime Pints: Damn it.
Primetime Pints: Matt Ryan, yeah. Yeah, Dylan got it.
Dylan: Boom.
Primetime Pints: He was just faster.
Primetime Pints: All right, number two. Who was the Ravens head coach? during their first Super Bowl victory. bu
Primetime Pints: No, I really buzzed. It wasn't hardball. John Harbaugh. No.
Dylan: Their first Super Bowl victory.
Primetime Pints: No. Take care. That was their second. I know. the first one I know.
Dylan: a
Primetime Pints: What if I named somebody on the coaching staff? No, he was on the team, actually.
Dylan: I don't even...
Dylan: I don't know
Primetime Pints: Dylan doesn't know either. Brian Billick. Hmm?
Dylan: Would have got that.
Primetime Pints: When they got that.
Dylan: Hmm.
Primetime Pints: right
Primetime Pints: who is the famous poet that inspired the team's name for the Ravens. Buzz. Edgar Allen Poe. It is Edgar Allan Poe, yeah.
Dylan: Damn it.
Primetime Pints: Fun fact, Dylan, they're three Ravens mascots. R. Allen and Poe. And is it Edgar too? Are they all three? Honey?
Primetime Pints: Yeah, it's all three of you.
Dylan: I didn't know the mascots were named that.
Primetime Pints: don't see all three of them.
Dylan: I knew that that's where the name originated from, yeah.
Primetime Pints: It's just...
Dylan: But hey. Another fun fact.
Primetime Pints: yeah you welcome It's mostly just Poe, but every once in a while you'll see the other two come out as well. So yes, Edgar Allen and Poe. mm -hmm
Dylan: I like it.
Primetime Pints: All right.
Dylan: Alright, now we gotta do a tiebreaker.
Primetime Pints: Another tiebreaker. Another tiebreaker.
Primetime Pints: okay let me see
Primetime Pints: What you got? do I know I'm looking let's see
Primetime Pints: Who was the Ravens quarterback during their 2012 Super Bowl victory? but
Dylan: Buzz.
Primetime Pints: I know it's first Joe Flacco.
Dylan: No.
Primetime Pints: No. so black Yes, I did check the tape check the tape Check the tape.
Dylan: No you didn't. du You did not at the same time.
Dylan: god
Primetime Pints: know Two to one.
Dylan: BS. I should get half that point.
Primetime Pints: yeah i should get No, you were too slow. Just like I was too slow for Matt Ryan.
Dylan: right fine whatever Thanks, Jess.
Primetime Pints: Thank you. Love you. Bye. bye All right. let's You know.
Dylan: Damn.
Primetime Pints: Pay it up.
Dylan: Damn it!
Primetime Pints: Pay it up. Pay it up.
Dylan: I thought I had that
Primetime Pints: Pay it up.
Dylan: I'm telling you, when you watch this back. it's gonna We're going to say buzz at the same time.
Primetime Pints: No chance.
Dylan: 100%.
Primetime Pints: No chance.
Dylan: 100%.
Primetime Pints: No. Nope.
Dylan: 100%.
Primetime Pints: No. We were both on the same phone call. You know you heard me say buzz before you did.
Dylan: I didn't hear anything.
Primetime Pints: Dylan. Drink your beer.
Dylan: I'm drinking it.
Primetime Pints: No, but that's not the bar bet. The bar bets, you're supposed to finish it.
Dylan: I'm trying. I'm not 21 anymore, Tanner.
Primetime Pints: Well, neither am I, but you saw my loss week one. right down the hatch.
Dylan: Alright.
Primetime Pints: Come on. Come on, Daddy Dylan.
Dylan: Ooh. Alright, I'm done.
Primetime Pints: Alright, there you go. You made your girls proud.
Dylan: Thanks.
Primetime Pints: You're going to wear that hat.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: Make them proud.
Dylan: Can't wear the hat. Not making them proud.
Primetime Pints: all Alright. Oh, oh. Put on the the somber sadness and get into the... Sunday six -pack.
Dylan: a It's a tough one to start on. And you're the one that picked it.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. I gotta just get it over with. Thursday night was an absolute disaster. it
Dylan: I don't think either of us imagined that was going to be the outcome.
Primetime Pints: I said.
Primetime Pints: I said the worst thing the Cowboys do for me every year is give me a semblance of hope. I'm glad that they... crapped on that hope. in week five. Because now... I got no hope for the rest of the season and anything they.
Dylan: ah
Primetime Pints: Anything they do positive moving forward will just be a nice. treat. Because this team stinks.
Dylan: Yeah. Hey, Pickens had a breakout game. It's a good game.
Primetime Pints: I predict. I did call that. He didn't get his two touchdowns, but...
Dylan: He did. It probably helped that CD didn't obviously play most of the gear most second half.
Primetime Pints: I think it's fair to say he had a breakout game. Yeah, he was banged up a little bit
Dylan: button But like I said, ah The only chance the Bucs really had is they had to run the ball, and they did. They ran the ball a lot.
Primetime Pints: The defense... Defense, once again, look. The the problem is... Overall, the defense just gives up like three or four yards. And so the other teams just have these long, grueling drives.
Primetime Pints: And they take a... All the clock. and then all of a sudden in the middle of that grueling drive boom there's a lapse in coverage and they get a 30 -yard pass to somebody who's wide open. And it's just like. They just can't get off the field.
Primetime Pints: they They pressure quarterbacks, but then they can't get them on the ground. They make Jane... Jaden Daniels, not... Chee - No, sorry, Jalen Daniels, not Jaden. Look like Lamar out there.
Primetime Pints: I mean, they just... Despicable. That...
Dylan: Their play calling was very well put together around Jalen Daniels also. They weren't expecting a lot out of him.
Primetime Pints: They did. I mean...
Dylan: And he produced well also, which I think he averaged like seven yards a pass. But that's all they needed him to do.
Primetime Pints: he He played a good game.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: He played a good game.
Dylan: was just slowly drive the ball down the field, like you said, just to eat up time, keep the possession going.
Primetime Pints: Yep. Yeah, and...
Dylan: And then obviously rely on Bucky to take a little bit of the load off every once in a while when you need to.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. Dak had his worst game. He didn't look sharp. Um, But then... You can ask my dad. You can ask my brothers. I am the biggest Jake Ferguson hater out there. I've said it for the last three, four years. I don't think he's very good. I think.
Primetime Pints: uh whenever we let dalton schultz walk instead of him it was a downgrade and then they paid Ferguson Moore. And the guy all the guy does is fumble. and drop the ball. and it's like i saw something the other day he lead and over the last Four seasons. He leads the league in fumbles. He's tied.
Primetime Pints: with eight Fumbles. And he's tied with Derrick Henry and Bijan. Derrick Henry and Bijan have Both touched the ball. 900 times during that timeframe. Jake Ferguson has touched the ball 180 times in that timeframe.
Primetime Pints: He... Fumbles the ball. All the time. and and And then...
Dylan: That's not great.
Primetime Pints: And then the brick hands on the... on the slant across the middle. for an interception to lose the game. And then Duran Bland. BrickHands Drawing, playing. Set the record for pick sixes.
Primetime Pints: three years ago.
Primetime Pints: He had a walk -in pick -six. And he just looks like he doesn't know what a football is.
Dylan: It's just right through it.
Primetime Pints: and And so it's just, you know what?
Primetime Pints: um I'm going to have to go a whole other year. with my Without my jerseys. I'm accepting it now.
Dylan: I'm hoping that's not the case I'm hoping they figure it out
Primetime Pints: Take us. Take me into beer number two. i and and They don't get any more time. They don't get any more time.
Dylan: All right, we got our London game, Jags and Eagles.
Primetime Pints: That was a fun game.
Dylan: What a game. What a game.
Primetime Pints: That was a fun game.
Dylan: That was a fun end of the game for sure. I'm telling you what, man, the Eagles are.
Primetime Pints: Very.
Dylan: hurting offensively. That was such a poor second half performance by that Eagles offense. I think they had... What, one field goal the whole second half of that game?
Primetime Pints: Yeah, I mean... Once again. ah they They point a lot of fingers around like why they lose. ah Nobody seems to point at Jalen Hurts. Jalen Hurts just hasn't been playing very good.
Dylan: No, he's not playing good at all
Primetime Pints: He's just not playing very good.
Dylan: I think he's averaged like 185 yards a game. He has eight touchdowns. His best asset for him in the past has been running the ball, and he's only averaging like 21 yards. A game rushing?
Dylan: He's just not doing much for them. When they need him to.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, well here's what they need to do. They need to figure out how to get the ball into Darius Cooper's hands.
Dylan: When a man touches the ball, he apparently scores.
Primetime Pints: All the guy does is he score touchdowns. How many? He has three touchdowns this season. How many catches does he have, Dylan?
Dylan: Like six.
Primetime Pints: Five.
Dylan: Okay.
Primetime Pints: He has five catches in three touchdowns. And so it's like, okay, is he a playmaker or is there does the other team just not realize he's on the field?
Dylan: Yeah. Just find the man.
Primetime Pints: like I don't know. But if he's a playmaker, they got to figure something out because nobody else is making plays. I... in
Dylan: i mean He might as well just be on the field the whole time if he's going to sit there and produce like that.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. and
Dylan: But yeah. It. They're bad. They're not playing well. Before today's game, they were like 15th. In the league for rushing ah offense, and that's whenever Saquon and Tank were both healthy. I think after today's game, they dropped all the way to 23rd.
Dylan: And then they're 31st in passing because obviously Jalen Hurts is just sucking. So it's only going to get worse because they they have the sixth hardest strength to schedule remaining too. So it's not going to get any easier for them. They had the easiest half of their schedule already go by and they did not produce anything out of it. so They're just going to have to figure something out. Or maybe it's time they have the Sirianni talk about moving on. because Something's not changing.
Primetime Pints: Week one. My Dallas Cowboys. Against the Ravens, or week two. Whatever that was, Ryu game. was the first time in history that there was two... ah field goals in the last 10 seconds of the game.
Primetime Pints: to end the game. It happened again today.
Dylan: yep that was bad coverage
Primetime Pints: There was eight seconds. They had no, okay, they had no timeouts left. Jacksonville didn't have any timeouts. That's where you kick the ball, the end zone. The Cowboys should have. dealt with a return to lead some clock because the Ravens had a timeout.
Primetime Pints: The Jaguars didn't have a timeout.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: Kicked the ball out of the back of the end zone. And then all you have to do is not let the guy get out of bounds and it's game over. on the next play
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: It was just... a Boneheaded.
Dylan: that's That's a coaching mistake, yeah.
Primetime Pints: coaching decision. Terrible. And then you got to give some flowers over to... Parker, Washington.
Dylan: Yeah, that catch.
Primetime Pints: Six. Six -round pick last year. And I mean, this guy is emerging as a superstar.
Dylan: He's got some hands.
Primetime Pints: the The catch was phenomenal. his 50 -yard... run for a touchdown because, I mean, he caught the ball at the line of scrimmage and then just ran it the whole way.
Primetime Pints: He's just crafty. yeah I mean,
Dylan: He can separate too, which makes a world of a difference.
Primetime Pints: Mm -hmm
Dylan: which is huge for Trevor Lawrence.
Primetime Pints: Yep.
Dylan: He can get so much separation from... Those D backs and then. creating speed and separation when he catches the ball too. Like they're not catching up to him at all. so Yeah.
Primetime Pints: That...
Dylan: The Jaguars have found a solid wide receiver in. Washington. That was a steal.
Primetime Pints: An absolute steal.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: So.
Dylan: Brian Thomas, on the other hand. Good lord man.
Primetime Pints: He...
Dylan: You had that first year. And then...
Primetime Pints: I can't think.
Dylan: new head coach comes in and it's like he's not even there.
Primetime Pints: I can't think of a bigger drop off. on a wide receiver. Ever.
Dylan: It's bad.
Primetime Pints: His rookie year, it was like... Goodness gracious. And then the last two seasons now.
Dylan: I mean, his rookie year, him. I...
Primetime Pints: Nothing.
Dylan: i'd have to look back i might just be blowing smoke But I feel like him and Neighbors were pretty... equal first year.
Primetime Pints: There was conversations on which one was better because they were both at LSU.
Dylan: Out of the league, yeah.
Dylan: Yeah, they were both producing so well.
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: And then the second year slump hit Thomas hard.
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: And neighbors just kept rolling.
Primetime Pints: Hmm. And now he's just like not even part of their game plan.
Dylan: So.
Dylan: And they don't they've come out and said they don't have any.
Primetime Pints: He...
Dylan: Uh... plans to trade him either. So he's just going to sit there and. Absolutely do nothing for their team. Like he had a touchdown that.
Primetime Pints: He had it.
Dylan: he got obviously called back because he's out of bounds but That was the only thing he did today.
Primetime Pints: That's not a callback. That's just an incomplete pass.
Dylan: Yeah, it could be passed.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, and he should have been able to drag that toe.
Dylan: Sorry.
Primetime Pints: Like he wasn't going so fast out of there, like a ah good receiver. That's a touchdown.
Dylan: I mean... Trey McBride tapped his toes better than... Brian Thomas did.
Primetime Pints: Trey McBride juggled the ball.
Dylan: And then somehow got his toes in, yeah.
Primetime Pints: three times and then still kept his toes in as he's falling backwards out of the end zone. That was a crazy pylon catch.
Dylan: Oh yeah.
Primetime Pints: So...
Dylan: All right, Browns being Browns.
Primetime Pints: The Browns will Brown.
Dylan: Yeah. Oh my god. Such a bad...
Primetime Pints: Oh.
Dylan: It's...
Primetime Pints: I mean...
Dylan: Poor weather, and then just... Absolutely worse football. It's just two teams just not playing much offense and the defense out on the field, basically.
Primetime Pints: They...
Dylan: And then you add the pouring rain into the situation. And it just makes the mess even worse.
Primetime Pints: They have a chance. No, neither offense is doing anything. and they have a chance to just punt the ball down the field, make one more stop, win the game. Hunter just doesn't catch the snap.
Dylan: It goes right through his hands.
Primetime Pints: I mean... goes right through his hands. And then... Boom, Braylon Allen, 30 yards to the house. and
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: There goes the Jets.
Dylan: There it goes. That simple.
Primetime Pints: God. i didn't i didn't I didn't watch a lot of that game.
Dylan: The Browns are going to Browns, man.
Primetime Pints: because there wasn't a lot to watch.
Dylan: ah the The stat sheet's terrible. It's not good.
Primetime Pints: It's...
Dylan: I think Deshaun Watson had like 150 yards passing. Geno had like 186, I think is what it was. There wasn't very many yards whatsoever in the game. I think when the fourth quarter started, the Browns had like 110 total yards in ah offense.
Dylan: Like I said, it was. absolutely poor football the weather probably had a little bit to do with it but also the browns and deshaun watson just don't play good football. Their defense just... picks up the slack and then keeps him in the football game.
Dylan: But when your punter lets a ball go right through his hands. and sets them up for that. Pretty hard to... keep up so
Primetime Pints: Yeah. Yeah, ah yeah, you're right. Deshaun Watson had 155 and Gino had 182.
Dylan: Hey. On the money.
Primetime Pints: The only player with... Any resemblance of a stat line was Braylon Allen.
Dylan: Yeah, he had a hundred.
Primetime Pints: with 116.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: So. Two teams that I, once again. We said it on our... Quarterway of the season. Don't expect anything big out of those two.
Primetime Pints: Alright. Next. it was It was the weird buzz from last night. Into today. the The Cardinals are saying Marvin is not playing.
Primetime Pints: We are sending him off. but then Didn't tell us to who.
Dylan: It was just, it's such a weird thing to do.
Primetime Pints: So...
Dylan: You're going to sit because we're going to trade you, but we're not going to tell anybody who you're going to.
Primetime Pints: We're not releasing who we're trading you to. We're going to let everybody speculate. The Texans were the first team that I saw was reported but then there was rumors for the Eagles, the Chiefs, the Colts.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: uh So at least it wasn't like, ah oh, it's definitely this.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: And then, yeah.
Dylan: I saw the Raiders.
Primetime Pints: what
Dylan: was were also also thought of just because obviously they don't have any young wide receivers.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, they got no receivers.
Dylan: Yeah, they got to figure something out. Off topic because Brock Bowers had. Nine catches today and the wide receiver core for Kirk Cousins at eight. You got to find a wide receiver for that man.
Dylan: Because you can't just throw to Brock Bowers all the time.
Primetime Pints: well Yeah. Boom.
Dylan: But all right, MP. Or MHP, or MHJ, Jesus Christ.
Primetime Pints: yeah Marv.
Dylan: Does he... Does he... Make a difference for the... The Struggling Texans.
Primetime Pints: What did I say about those struggling Texans?
Dylan: I'm telling you, don't.
Primetime Pints: What did I say?
Dylan: Take the Titans game and...
Primetime Pints: What did I say?
Dylan: Flip it. It doesn't help that much.
Primetime Pints: It did last year.
Dylan: It's the Titans.
Primetime Pints: It did last year.
Dylan: Yeah, but they have bigger worries this year though.
Primetime Pints: This is. There. They're getting in their groove. Marvin had something going on in Arizona. that Clearly wasn't a mesh. He's going to revitalize in Houston. And the end.
Primetime Pints: There he can actually be wide receiver too. ah get because Nico Collins is better.
Dylan: Oh, Diego Collins is way better. Yeah.
Primetime Pints: note without a doubt. So now he can actually like. go out there and just play.
Primetime Pints: Watch out for the Texans.
Dylan: i I like it.
Primetime Pints: Watch out for the Texans.
Dylan: I... I like it because obviously. They needed somebody else besides Nico. They try to force the ball to Nico. That's basically their offense And it's getting to be.
Dylan: pretty well known so they need to spread the ball out more and i think it's going to give them more options there Hopefully it helps consistency with drives because they stall out a lot. They just don't keep drives alive. And then red zone efficiency. They suck. I think I saw a week.
Dylan: Two, they had four red zone trips and they got no points whatsoever out of it or no touchdowns out of it.
Primetime Pints: Hmm.
Dylan: So they got to figure out a what or way to get in the red zone score points. Keep drives going. I think it helps, but the biggest concern I think they still need to address is the linemen. They have no run block and they have no pass block.
Dylan: So if you don't have those two things.
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: You can add a wide receiver, but if you can't sit there and get the run game going or get the protection you need, it's not going to really make. that large of a difference. so
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: We'll see.
Primetime Pints: I... We...
Dylan: It's still still a fine pickup. Obviously, it looks like it was basically a second round pick. Same thing they got out of it, so.
Primetime Pints: Week one, I mean... Dave Montgomery punches in three touchdowns. You're like, okay. The Texans are actually going to be able to score this year. And not just kick field goals. And then since then. Yeah, the every I mean, the running back is just getting hammered in the backfield.
Dylan: Yeah, they're not even getting to the line of scrimmage and they're getting hit
Primetime Pints: And it... And then I believe he left early with some kind of injury today.
Dylan: Montgomery.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. I don't know exactly what it was. but So.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, I wouldn't trust their running game, but hey, they should be able to throw now. they got they got weapons and they got at some point in time tank dell's gonna be back There was like good footage of him this summer. running routes and looking fast and making cuts so i don't know if he had a setback or if it's the like
Dylan: I mean that knee injury was just catastrophic.
Primetime Pints: afraid of I mean, it was a brutal knee injury.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: But. He looked. They look. Fast Twitch was making hard cuts. This summer? So it's like. Where's the update on him? When's he going to come back?
Dylan: I mean... I think he's gonna help a little bit. I think he's going to be like the big play, explosive play every once in a while, which is part of what they need to is they need to have a big play like that every once in a while.
Dylan: Because I don't think he's going to be consistent. like four or five. Catch game.
Primetime Pints: No.
Dylan: player i just don't think he has that in him he has the speed to go down field throw a deep ball he catches it catches a long td something like that which is kind of what he was doing before he got injured which I think just getting him healthy is the most important thing for the Texans. But when he comes back, he's obviously going to be wide receiver three in that room, but I think he's going to help mix things up hopefully a little bit. But. They got to get something going on the offensive line and something changed up or there's not going to really be much difference of what that offense is doing right now. so
Primetime Pints: For sure. Well, you mentioned them Those Raiders.
Dylan: hey
Primetime Pints: Talk about another bad take this week.
Dylan: Damn. That was an asshole.
Primetime Pints: Woo!
Dylan: I'm sorry.
Primetime Pints: Boy, I said, give me the Raiders outright, and then they get throttled today.
Dylan: they got destroyed but hey good news out of it good news out of it We got to see friends.
Primetime Pints: No.
Dylan: mendoza so
Primetime Pints: Mm. Francesco.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: Mendoza.
Dylan: I about called him Francis. I was like that's not right.
Primetime Pints: ah
Dylan: He didn't look bad.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, I mean
Dylan: he didn't look bad
Primetime Pints: i saw that he I saw that he came in on red zone, and then they didn't really show much of it after that, and I didn't have that game on.
Dylan: Obviously it was a blowout.
Primetime Pints: so It was like.
Dylan: I mean, he was completing some good passes downfield. I don't know if the whole starting secondary was in for the... Pats at the time, but still, it's a confidence boost for your number one.
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: Thanks. coming out to drive down the field a little bit.
Primetime Pints: he went He went six for eight. You went six for eight for... 48 yards.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: so
Dylan: it wasn't bad Wasn't bad at all.
Primetime Pints: Fine. Nothing special.
Dylan: But yeah. The Raiders need... I feel like if they can... Get some wide receiver help. and potentially a little bit of alignment help, they'll be fine. But that's the struggles they have is.
Primetime Pints: Thank you.
Dylan: They rely too much on Brock Bowers to do everything. and then they just don't really use any other wide receivers besides maybe Trey Tucker to do anything.
Primetime Pints: yeah well here's the thing they got the number one pick last year for a reason
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: And these first four weeks, they've just kind of tried to trick us. Boy did they fool me.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: and So, hey, if anybody's paying attention though, if you've got a fantasy player that you want to do well. He's not been performing. You... You... Come tell me.
Dylan: Yeah, you send in a player that you want to do really good.
Primetime Pints: you you You comment, send it to my DMs, and I will bash them, and I will tell you how bad they are, and then they will be just like Drake May and be good again.
Dylan: Yeah.
Dylan: Or if you want to put a sports bet in, just tell me who it is and we'll... Bash him. And he'll probably have the best time of his or best game of his life. so
Primetime Pints: I gotta be having like a 2 and 20 record right now.
Dylan: hot takes baby
Primetime Pints: It's a good thing I have not been betting much this season. if ah But no, Drake may look fantastic. I mean... They just. Torched him. I think he had five total touchdowns, one on the ground.
Primetime Pints: Four through the air. But I mean, one of those Pop Douglas was standing in the end zone.
Dylan: Oh he's wide open.
Primetime Pints: waving at his he was waving at his mom While the ball was coming in.
Dylan: I think the next closest the defender was like at the 10 -yard line. Just like, what's going on, guys?
Primetime Pints: Yeah. It's like... I know. He was... roasting marshmallows over a campfire. He was out there, nobody around him.
Dylan: Yeah. But it's just so hard to tell in that offense, too, who they're going to utilize. That is...
Primetime Pints: well that's because they don't have like the guy they need a when AJ Brown gets back all of a sudden now Amen. After seeing them bounce back the last two weeks. Could be dangerous.
Primetime Pints: Could be. Travion Henderson, I think, went out again.
Dylan: Maybe.
Primetime Pints: guy the guy He's explosive, but... He can't stay on the field.
Dylan: Oh.
Primetime Pints: so
Dylan: Alright.
Primetime Pints: All right, beer number six.
Dylan: Seahawks and 49ers.
Primetime Pints: 49ers Seahawks. Seahawks show that they are they're not going to be a pushover this year.
Dylan: They're playing good football.
Primetime Pints: That... They're playing good football, but They just didn't quite have enough. Didn't quite have enough.
Dylan: They need... They need running back help. That is one thing that they're lacking.
Primetime Pints: We keep saying that. Halani had a terrible fumble. Did you see that?
Dylan: Yeah. yeah
Primetime Pints: And he got the ball, and it was kind of like still loose in his hand, and one of the big linemen just put his... Big old. bear claw right on that thing and just Pop it out. Speaking of fumble recoveries, did you see the Chase Young fumble recovery?
Dylan: Yeah, he just picked it up with one hand and started running it.
Primetime Pints: He just...
Dylan: yeah
Primetime Pints: He just grabbed that thing. Like it's the size of this beer can and stuck it out. away from the little guy trying to get him. He was already down. But. It was fun to watch.
Dylan: It was a large human being running down the field with one hand on it.
Primetime Pints: just holding the football like it was a baseball. I mean, it was like, good God, look at those mitts.
Dylan: It was fun. It was fun.
Primetime Pints: But yeah, back to the 49ers Seahawks. Once again. I've said it, 49ers, I think they're the class of the NFC. they Look good. They just look good. McCaffrey's still McCaffrey.
Dylan: They do They do look good. McCaffrey's still performing at a high level for sure, yeah.
Primetime Pints: Hey. He's not getting the same workload. but he's efficient with what he's getting.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: And then Mike Evans. Sid. Father time. Mm -mm. Screw off.
Dylan: He's never gonna age.
Primetime Pints: He's... He is returning this year to Mr. 1000. He lost his streak last year.
Dylan: He still looks so quick. And athletic, too. at his age.
Primetime Pints: There...
Dylan: It's just incredible.
Primetime Pints: There was... uh They were going for two at one point. And Brock Purdy just was running around like a madman. And Mike Evans had a guy just like draped all over him and he just kind of flicked it to him.
Primetime Pints: And Mike Evans was just like, I've got longer arms and I'm stronger than you. And he picked the ball out.
Dylan: ah
Primetime Pints: So. 49ers. Scary team. You don't want to run into them right now.
Dylan: Nope.
Primetime Pints: Seahawks, Seahawks not dead. They look good.
Dylan: They do look good. Sam Darnold needs to start making... Mistakes. Or bad mistakes.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, oh jsn with a brutal drop
Dylan: Yeah, he does not drop the football.
Primetime Pints: on the last drive he doesn't drop those and and that would have been i mean it was he was contorted and it was a funky
Dylan: Yeah. God.
Dylan: You could see how upset he was with himself too when he was walking back.
Primetime Pints: Grab. But... But he brings that ball in. 99 % of the time. And it was just like, that was.
Dylan: Man.
Primetime Pints: Uncharacteristic of him.
Dylan: Also, that call for Cooper Cup at the end of the game was BS. That was first down.
Primetime Pints: See, they were explaining it. And in real time, I thought he was short. And my question is, why is a veteran like... I know he needs to get out of bounds for the clock, but you got to get the first down more than anything.
Primetime Pints: A veteran like that's got to know you can't go lateral there. You got to put your. shoulder down and you got to get the first down.
Dylan: Yeah, you gotta go uphill.
Primetime Pints: You cannot jeopardize it that close. so But... another Another fun game to watch. so
Dylan: It was a fun game to watch.
Primetime Pints: All right let's Let's go to the stock market. Hmm.
Dylan: I mean, we already just talked about. with my stock down. Jalen Hurts.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, we touched on the Eagles.
Dylan: He's just... It's so bad man. His performance, he's averaging 186 yards a game. He's averaging. 21 rush yards a game, which is the lowest in his career, and he has a 57%. Completion.
Dylan: percentage, which is low also. So. I think he's 24th. For pass yards this season? It's just he's He's not helping at all.
Dylan: Their rushing game is not doing anything, and their passing game is even worse. So his efficiency is down. The rushing production is limited. And it's just going to make the concerns worse and worse for the Eagles until he starts figuring it out.
Dylan: And it does not look like he's doing it.
Primetime Pints: is His secret weapon seems to be gone.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: The tush push just doesn't seem to exist anymore. So... Yeah, i I think that's a good stock down. The Eagles can't feel good about it.
Primetime Pints: Him or Sirianni, like you said.
Dylan: Yeah. If you're... Looking fantasy wise, he's not using his most. valuable asset for fantasy, which is his legs. He's not. and When you're he's only rushing the ball for 21 yards a game compared to what he was doing last year and obviously getting rushing touchdowns and doing more. It's just he's not valuable to have as a quarterback anymore because he's not throwing the ball well enough and he's not getting targets. And.
Dylan: having the weapon that he did with AJ Brown last year and then Devontae Smith is obviously there but he was not he hasn't been able to stay as healthy as you would like him to be for Jalen Hurts to have that top target. so I just don't think he's going to be.
Dylan: a valuable QB to have as a starting QB right now. Good change. I don't think it's going to. But. That's my stock down as Jalen Hurts. So.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. Alright. My stock down. We're getting a little broad this week. Where's... My stock down is on analytics. analytical football.
Primetime Pints: I'm sick of it. I'm sick and tired of the the math making our football decisions instead of... the right football decision.
Dylan: Yeah, the analytics show you should do this.
Primetime Pints: The analytics.
Dylan: yeah and The analytics show you should do that.
Primetime Pints: The anti -antalytics. Count me in.
Dylan: Yeah, those analytics should meet Dan Campbell.
Primetime Pints: It started off...
Dylan: And he'd give them a middle finger.
Primetime Pints: It started off This week on Thursday night that I notice it with the Cowboys. You're down two scores and they score. And oh, the modern analytics say go for two, because if you go for two, you've got over a 50 % conversion rate, which means if you get it this time, then you're going to win the game if you score another touchdown. If you don't get it this time, you should get it the next time.
Primetime Pints: Show me and in... In practicality, where that has paid off. It may have once or twice. But I don't know. I just can't.
Primetime Pints: I can't get behind it
Dylan: Is that the random analytics guy on the... Prime vision.
Primetime Pints: I don't know. I haven't watched Prime Vision.
Dylan: Bye.
Primetime Pints: that But that's been that the for two when you score down 14. Has been a thing now for. four or five years. And once again, it sounds cool in theory.
Primetime Pints: I haven't seen it work. The next thing and is... All of these teams not taking... the points when they get in the red zone. that Everybody thinking, oh, it's fourth and fourth and goal on the one, fourth and goal on the two. We need to get the touchdown instead of just taking the three points.
Primetime Pints: it's It's costing teams games. It cost the Eagles the game against the Rams. because they wanted to score a touchdown to extend it even further, or if they kicked the field goal.
Primetime Pints: They end up winning that game.
Dylan: It's not having faith in your defense either.
Primetime Pints: um and And then they get stopped.
Dylan: Like, you should have faith that your defense is going to be able to slow them down or stop them.
Primetime Pints: it's
Primetime Pints: The Ravens and Ca -
Dylan: If you can put points up.
Primetime Pints: The Ravens and Cowboys, same thing. The Ravens. could have scored an extra three points would have never even been a factor. um and they tried to go for it with derrick henry and then the cowboys marched down and almost in that game to overtime before they blow it.
Primetime Pints: Uh... Today, it was. Jacksonville? And... Philly Jacksonville, I know they had their snapper issue. So their long snapper gets hurt. And whoever their backup long snapper was snapping the ball over the holder's head.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: almost every time. But... But. They chose not to kick a field goal. in the red zone three different times. And they only converted on one of them.
Primetime Pints: And. And... They're fourth and one. play right before halftime? They ran an... an end around. On fourth and go from the one. let's let's Let's hand off a reverse.
Primetime Pints: Stupid. I hate it. All that takes is one guy making a play. And you're blown up. It's just like what the... The smartness and the numbers have taken over a brute sport.
Primetime Pints: that sometimes we just got to be dumb. We gotta be dumb. You got to take the points. Get the advantage.
Dylan: I feel like that's why.
Primetime Pints: and move on.
Dylan: Dan Campbell is such a good coach. as He just says F it and does what he wants. like
Primetime Pints: No, he's he but he always goes for it. That's it that he he may be what you think is dumb but he's playing the analytics game is he is actually going for it When they say mathematically, you should.
Primetime Pints: But there's a lot of times where those three points make a huge difference, especially if it happens two or three times.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: So fourth down. conversions. this season. We're through five weeks of the season. Okay. The team with the most fourth down conversions only has seven. and that is the saints.
Primetime Pints: Okay. Only eight NFL teams have four or more. And half of the league only has two fourth down conversions.
Primetime Pints: through five games. So analytic meaning all you want, but fourth down conversions just don't happen. And so. You got it. You get down there.
Primetime Pints: And.
Dylan: Take the points.
Primetime Pints: You need to... Extendedly. and ah The other one I just didn't mention Thursday night. The... The Buccaneers did it. They're winning by... 14. Against the Cowboys.
Primetime Pints: And they have a chance to kick a field goal to go. up Three scores. And they try to go for it. We stuff them. And then the Cowboys try to make a comeback. And they fall short of that comeback. But they would have had no chance had they just kicked that field goal.
Dylan: That was probably more of a mind game trying to kill confidence. and Get the first down, but.
Primetime Pints: No, but that's, I don't care. That's, it's dumb.
Dylan: it's it's a stupid play you take the points make it a three possession game yeah
Primetime Pints: It's a dumb play. Kick the field goal, make it a three -position game, and the ball game is over. So. Stock down on analytics.
Dylan: Like you have a... You have your kicker.
Primetime Pints: Thank you for coming to my soapbox.
Dylan: You got to trust your kicker. If you don't trust your kicker, then why do you have him on the team?
Primetime Pints: I don't think it's a - I don't
Dylan: like it yeah In those situations, you need to kick the ball, get the points on the board, go.
Primetime Pints: And I don't think it's a kicker trust thing. I just think it's. It's the like you said they're like, oh we can get seven here And seven's better than three. So.
Dylan: yeah
Primetime Pints: Alright.
Dylan: Oh, my stock up. ah London games.
Primetime Pints: Your stock up.
Dylan: London games, baby.
Primetime Pints: oh Ugh.
Dylan: London games.
Primetime Pints: Ew.
Dylan: What, you don't like London games? I like them
Primetime Pints: This is a merit.
Dylan: Of all the international games, I like London games the best. Not only just because of the... obviously fan experience and how many people go, but the field quality is way better.
Dylan: The stadiums are better. Watching the game, you can just see how poor the field quality is when they go to like. Obviously.
Primetime Pints: Yep. Anywhere else?
Dylan: Mexico or South America or Australia, yeah, the field quality is terrible.
Primetime Pints: Germany. You name it.
Dylan: But there's just so many fans. The atmosphere is so much fun to watch, too. It's just such a fun thing to be a part of. and then like It would be a fun experience to go as a fan of the Chiefs if they play in London to go see them play there and just get to do that.
Dylan: But also at the same time as part of me living in Kansas City, waking up and having a football game at. 8 30 in the morning it's pretty great It's a pretty great start great great start to the Sunday.
Primetime Pints: That is... I will say. That is the best part about it is. just You don't have to wait till noon.
Dylan: No.
Primetime Pints: You get football.
Dylan: I get to wake up.
Primetime Pints: All day.
Dylan: And start at 8 .30. And I forgot about it until eight o 'clock today.
Primetime Pints: All day.
Dylan: And I just got so happy. It was a great surprise when I woke up.
Primetime Pints: Mm hmm.
Dylan: And remember, there's a London game this morning.
Primetime Pints: We're driving back from a wedding. this morning we were in chicago so we had a seven hour drive home And yeah, that phone was sitting right on the dash.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: And we we were watching that London game. And... My wife knew at noon. we were switching seats and she was driving the rest way home because i was watching the rest of the games on the ipad But we got, it made the drive short. When I'm at home, I get to wake up and I get to do nothing all day.
Primetime Pints: Just put on football.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: It's the best. It is the best.
Dylan: Yes.
Primetime Pints: That's a good. study
Dylan: I'm taking stock up London games. I think international games, they're my favorite. Not only for... Location, but obviously field conditions that go with them the stadium that's with them the atmosphere that's with them and then obviously just I love the morning games.
Dylan: The 8 .30 game, give it to me.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. I can join you on that solely because it's a Morgan game.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: Okay, my stock up. is Replay Assist. So we're going the opposite direction. Instead of old meathead football where the call's the call, I am a...
Primetime Pints: Big, big fan of the quick change. of the obvious differences. So not the challenges, not the ones that they gotta go to the booth and take forever. It's O. Hey, that guy was actually.
Primetime Pints: a yard and a half short he did not get that first down switch it or oh no he was clearly past the first down marker, it's a first down. Like... those obvious
Dylan: Yeah, he didn't get that second foot down that he's out of bounds.
Primetime Pints: Exactly. and and they And they happen fast. and they just get the call right. And I'm a big fan. There's been several corrections of those this season.
Primetime Pints: And to me. You're getting the right call out there. We don't have to sit there and wait forever. And it's just smooth. It's nice. Stock up on the replay assist.
Dylan: Good. I don't know if I just haven't been paying attention, but I don't... Like... It doesn't feel like they do the random like we're going to test this out for replay this year and see how it works. And then if it doesn't get rid of it like they did for the past interference that one year.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. Mm hmm. Oof.
Dylan: We're like, all right, we're going to be able to challenge pass interference for this year.
Primetime Pints: They are then I they had i I think the first virtual measurement that I had seen, I think all season. today. during the uh Jags and Eagles game. They were three inches short.
Primetime Pints: I like that.
Dylan: I saw a couple in the first couple weeks, but then I had not seen many in the last few until today.
Primetime Pints: i
Primetime Pints: Mm hmm. Yeah. I saw that one today and I was like, man, I haven't feel like I haven't seen those this season.
Dylan: Yeah, they kind of were.
Primetime Pints: So.
Dylan: not being used whatsoever in the last couple weeks except for week one and two. I think they just tried to use them. It was like... The first one was like, oh. They're short by one yard. And I was like, that was just, you wanted to use the. Virtual measurement to show it off, yeah.
Primetime Pints: You're just trying to show it off. No, I, you know... There was something about. waiting for the chain gang to run out. and pull that.
Primetime Pints: and the drama of seeing whether it was short or long that was fun. Uh... So I do miss that at times. Like you had that one year where the referee pulled out an index card.
Primetime Pints: just to see whether it was actually at the chain.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: And it's just... Like.
Dylan: Hmm.
Primetime Pints: so the the crowd eruption on some of those where it's either short through. you know. the visitors or they just got it for the home team. That was a blast.
Primetime Pints: Um, But. don't mind I don't mind it. it's Once again, it's quick.
Dylan: It's quick and easy which is nice.
Primetime Pints: It's easy. you got It's got to be more accurate. because Traditionally, they're just like, yeah, I'm going to set the ball down right here. And then...
Dylan: This looks great.
Primetime Pints: Come on, guys.
Dylan: Great spot, yeah
Primetime Pints: yeah it's like Yeah, that's exactly where the tip of the football ended up.
Primetime Pints: Oh. all Alright. Let's transition into our... Playoff pint. what's what's What's our... What's our playoff lookout?
Primetime Pints: Now after week five.
Dylan: Uh... It's tough. being a cheese fan, but I have to say. After watching today's game. With the Raiders and the Broncos, if the Raiders can somehow get a wide receiver at the trade deadline.
Dylan: I think they can still salvage this season in some way. somehow make the playoffs. It's just. They forced the ball to... Brock Bowers. Way too much. Grant, it works.
Dylan: and they produce yards out of it. but you need somebody else to throw the football to. and probably need to address the offensive line maybe a smidge. But I think if they get some help.
Primetime Pints: So your your take... Your takeaway after a 45 -17 blowout is, man, this team's one wide receiver away.
Dylan: Okay, that's not the only thing they're away. Not the only thing their way. I think it helps. And like I said, they can get a playoff berth. Are they going to get the one seed? No, obviously not. That's the Chiefs.
Dylan: And are they they're going to be the number one team coming out of the AFC West? No. But do I think they still have a chance to make the playoffs if they can get a wide receiver and potentially... fix the line a little bit. Yeah. That's a solid defense.
Primetime Pints: There you go.
Dylan: And then Kirk's obviously producing well enough for that offense.
Primetime Pints: Wait. We gave up 45 today.
Dylan: What? Okay.
Primetime Pints: What can you say about that?
Dylan: for Beside the point.
Primetime Pints: They had a bad day.
Dylan: It's a bad day, man. Everybody has those days.
Primetime Pints: Everybody gets that way.
Dylan: right miley
Primetime Pints: ah My playoff point is the NFC South may not be the worst division in football. It might be the NFC East.
Dylan: tough scene tough scene
Primetime Pints: The. The NFC East this week went 0 -4. Well, sorry, they went winless is what I should say
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: uh and they had an in -division game and they still, the NFC East walked away with zero wins after this week.
Dylan: Thank you, Jaden Daniels.
Primetime Pints: So yeah, I mean, like I said, Thursday night. Thanks for watching the Cowboys. until they Until they prove us wrong. Don't trust him. We've set it on stock down.
Primetime Pints: Jaden Daniels and the Eagles. They don't look good. The commanders. They look better with Jaden Daniels out there, but they still. Don't trust them. And then the Giants, I just don't think.
Primetime Pints: I don't think they have the consistent firepower.
Dylan: In Jameis, we trust.
Primetime Pints: Jamis had a Jamis game. Jameis had a Jameis game where he just went. Hey, Malik neighbors is out there. I'm going to just keep throwing it.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: Uh...
Dylan: That's all I got to do.
Primetime Pints: And Jameis does that. from time to time. But... I just I don't. I can't jump on the Giants bandwagon yet. They got to show me a little bit more.
Dylan: They're...
Primetime Pints: I don't i don't trust them either.
Dylan: Man, that defense though. Their defense is solid.
Primetime Pints: They're hard -nosed. They play tough.
Dylan: Yep. And Jameis is just...
Primetime Pints: That.
Dylan: Doing Jameis things. He's keeping them out there.
Primetime Pints: That's... That's the hardball way. So.
Dylan: It's working so far.
Primetime Pints: Feel it. Hmm. Yeah, until they tie football games.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: Uh, fantasy takeaway. Mine is the Green Bay Packers have two. Elite. wide receivers. Christian Watson. And. ah Matthew Golan. both look phenomenal.
Primetime Pints: ah And the Packers, they ran it up today. I mean.
Dylan: Oh, yeah.
Primetime Pints: They put...
Dylan: They smacked the Bears pretty hard today.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, they did. I picked the Bears to win the division, and I still think they will when Caleb gets back. The Bears. Oh. What are you doing in playing Tyson? Bajan. Case Keenum looked...
Primetime Pints: Good.
Dylan: They look really good.
Primetime Pints: In his one game he got. And then they're like, nope. We're still giving it back to Tyson Bajan, and he's look he's looked bad.
Dylan: Yeah. youre Bajans are number two QB. You may have played phenomenally, but we're giving it back to Bajan.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, nope. Sorry. But ah no, on like I said, on the Green Bay side, Gibson Golden.
Dylan: Yeah, pass.
Primetime Pints: Or not Gibbs. Watson and Golden.
Dylan: Watson.
Primetime Pints: Uh... Watson had... A touchdown catch where he completely lost a guy. And...
Dylan: Yeah, basically hit him in the helmet
Primetime Pints: He's just for...
Dylan: And he just took it right off the top of his helmet.
Primetime Pints: For his size... For his size, he's so fast.
Dylan: He's had a very unique career.
Primetime Pints: And just gets behind everybody. He has.
Dylan: Very unique rear.
Primetime Pints: Well, because he's been had injuries. I mean he...
Dylan: Well, yeah, he came into the league, was doing really well at young. And then obviously the injuries and just kind of fell off.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. Hosted.
Dylan: It was just kind of.
Primetime Pints: Those damn hamstrings.
Dylan: Yeah. on the back of the radar for a little while and then all of a sudden Last year and this year, obviously, he just... blew up again so
Primetime Pints: Yeah, and and and I got to give props to Golden. Even as a Texas fan, I was down on Golden last year. I was like, he was never their number one. He never did anything that surprised me much. I was shocked that Green Bay took him in the first round. And last year.
Primetime Pints: Didn't do anything. This year. he's looked really good So.
Dylan: He has looked really good.
Primetime Pints: That's my fancy takeaway. Snag you one of those two receivers if you can. Probably can't.
Dylan: There's nobody snagging those two.
Primetime Pints: You probably can't.
Dylan: yeah
Primetime Pints: But. Boy, give them their flowers.
Dylan: I think I should take away. is Jameer Gibbs is superhuman. I just don't understand. How somebody can produce so much so often. And nobody can figure out a way to stop the man.
Primetime Pints: He's a freak.
Dylan: He just stands straight up in the backfield, and you know the ball's going to him, yet you can line five people up in the box, and you're still not going to stop him from running right down the middle.
Primetime Pints: I'm...
Dylan: It's just... As a Lion, if you were a Lions fan, it has to be so much fun to watch Jameer Gibbs on your team.
Primetime Pints: Oh, it's gotta be awesome.
Dylan: It's got to be a blast to have him on your team.
Primetime Pints: It's got to be so fun.
Dylan: but if you're playing him in fantasy, it has to be your biggest nightmare because you know he's going to score 30 points.
Primetime Pints: So fun.
Primetime Pints: They were... They were on they were near the goal line like on the three or the four today and they ran a run play to the left and he took like two or three steps towards the line of scrimmage and saw it was crazy.
Primetime Pints: And he just turned around and ran the other way and and nobody could catch him.
Dylan: Oh, yeah, that was his last touchdown, the fourth, yeah. He just turned around and went the other direction. He touched him.
Primetime Pints: He was like, nope, I'm just going to go the other way.
Dylan: Yep, and that was the second touchdown of the day So.
Primetime Pints: I mean, there's a reason he was the consensus 101 this year. yeah Here's...
Dylan: Yeah. When you get on a betting app and it's minus 200 -something, almost 300 -something for him to score a touchdown.
Primetime Pints: For him to score.
Dylan: It's pretty good
Primetime Pints: yeah yeah Here's a hypothetical for you. Your fantasy league has a competition. to see Whoever wins the competition gets to pick. Their pick of the draft order.
Dylan: I stand by my pick.
Primetime Pints: You think... The guy who wins, right? He should probably be taking number 101. because Jameer Gibbs has been that 101. For sure.
Dylan: Bye. Stand by my pick.
Primetime Pints: Dylan, I think you won that combine. What pick did you take?
Dylan: I did. I took two. I like Dijon.
Primetime Pints: yeah and then zach nixon celebrated he was like thank god give me that one -on -one But man.
Dylan: I took two. I should have taken one.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. We uh... we have him in a modified dynasty format and He carries our team. We just call him sweet baby Gibbs.
Dylan: That's a great name for him. He's just so durable, too. They use him so much, and he just is... somehow stays healthy through the whole thing. It's fun to watch him, so I could only imagine being an Alliance fan and watching him on a daily or regular basis. so
Primetime Pints: All right. We're going a little long tonight. What's our last? Last call take. How do we?
Dylan: Uh, Jaden Daniels.
Primetime Pints: How you wrapping it up?
Dylan: is lacking football IQ. I think we can all agree on this if you watch the end of that Washington game. Throw the ball away. Run out of bounds. whichever, just don't stay inbounds and get tackled.
Primetime Pints: that's all That's it.
Dylan: That's it.
Primetime Pints: that's drilled That's drilled into a quarterback their whole lives.
Dylan: That's all you got to do.
Primetime Pints: Their whole lives. They'd run two -minute drill. at every practice.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: Every practice they run a two minute drill.
Dylan: And don't give me the, oh, he didn't know he didn't have a timeout. If you're the starting quarterback on that team, you know if you have a timeout to use, if you don't have a timeout to use. You know the situation that's going into when you're driving down the field.
Primetime Pints: You have to know.
Dylan: and a potential game -winning drive.
Primetime Pints: Yep, you hit
Dylan: That's not an excuse.
Primetime Pints: You have to know. You have to know the circumstance.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: The only thing you can't do in that scenario is keep the ball. in but And he ran. Like... He had every opportunity to throw that ball away.
Primetime Pints: every opportunity.
Dylan: I'm pretty sure all the wide receivers ran just deep routes.
Primetime Pints: And he.
Dylan: They just ran out of the out of this
Primetime Pints: Yeah. I mean, it was just...
Dylan: Out of the - field of view.
Primetime Pints: For anybody who didn't see it. There's 12 seconds left and they're on second down on the 24 yard line. An easy field goal range. And he snaps the ball, runs a little. bootleg to the left and then runs right up the middle amongst the linemen. and goes down.
Primetime Pints: Somehow thinking they're going to have enough time to spike the ball, I guess. I don't know Just an absolute. Bonehead play.
Dylan: Oh, as soon as they Playcock went down. dan camp or Dan Quinn just ripped his headset off and just slammed it. Man.
Primetime Pints: Mm. Yeah.
Dylan: But that was just such low IQ. Like you have to understand the situation and know what you need to do. At that time, and that's obviously not the right call. And then that's where it happened.
Primetime Pints: Hmm. Yep.
Dylan: The winless NFC East.
Primetime Pints: Mm hmm. All right, my last call take. Tomorrow night, Monday Night Football. The... Bills are traveling to LA to take on the Rams.
Primetime Pints: I believe the Rams are...
Dylan: if
Primetime Pints: Two and a half point favorites? Does that sound right, Dylan?
Dylan: but imagine that's probably the case.
Primetime Pints: They're either two and a half or three and a half.
Dylan: I haven't seen.
Primetime Pints: I think it's two and a half. Anyway. I'm taking the bills to go in. Take the upset. and they're going to do it on the ground. The Rams do not give up very much passing yards. I think they are only giving up like 140 passing yards a game, but they do give up a hundred. 20 or 130 rushing yards. So I'm looking. for james cook to step it up.
Primetime Pints: um He's going to hit his over 75 and a half yards rushing. I... I'm going to predict he's going to find the end zone. And the bills. are going to narrowly Upset The Rams. Anyway.
Primetime Pints: Give it to me. 2724.
Dylan: I like it. I like it. Does Josh Allen have another touchdown?
Primetime Pints: He's going to need to. because I'm pretty sure DJ Moore's out, so.
Dylan: Oh.
Primetime Pints: And like I said, they don't give up a lot through the air.
Dylan: Gotta be tough.
Primetime Pints: so
Dylan: Going to be tough.
Primetime Pints: You got anything else for us?
Dylan: Do I have anything else for us? I don't think so. Stay tuned.
