Primetime Pints: Welcome to Primetime and Pints! I'm your host, Tanner Green. It's my co -host, Dylan Guthrie. And Dylan, what are we here for?
Dylan: We're on. We're all about big games, gold beers, and some hot takes, baby.
Primetime Pints: All right. Let's get into it. Today. Our cold beer. It's brought to you by Michelob Ultra.
Dylan: Fresh from the cage, baby.
Primetime Pints: Got a nice throwback. ah Darren Woodson, pint glass.
Dylan: Ooh. That's a nice bike.
Primetime Pints: Probably belong. to my father.
Dylan: Mine is a Boulevard Special. From my buddy Harrison and Caroline's wedding. Shout out.
Dylan: That was a nice pour.
Primetime Pints: Some would say the perfect pour.
Dylan: The only thing I don't like is you're drinking to make a Michelob out of a Miller Lite glass. That's tough. Tough scene, tough scene.
Primetime Pints: That's it. It's a Dallas Cowboys glass. It's not a Miller Lite glass.
Dylan: Hmm. Okay, yeah, as long as you drink it like that. I'll be okay with it
Primetime Pints: But I do think Miller Lite is ah the only beer of the Cowboys.
Dylan: Okay. So now we know what one of our drinks or drinks of choice needs to be
Primetime Pints: Apparently not looking forward to that day.
Dylan: Ha ha. It's a great beer. We'll transition you at some point.
Primetime Pints: All right, well, let's get right into it. We'll jump into the Sunday six pack. Dylan, what's up? First thing we got on the Sunday six pack.
Dylan: yeah Washington beats Seattle.
Dylan: Did you see it coming?
Primetime Pints: Do you see it? ah that was my question i was about to ask you the same thing did anyone See that coming.
Dylan: I don't think so.
Primetime Pints: Marcus Mariota. Backup quarterback.
Dylan: It honestly is, it appears to me whenever... Mariota has played the last two seasons. With the commanders, when he steps in, he plays really well, and the team performs really well.
Primetime Pints: Does he? play really well or do they do enough to win the game?
Dylan: Either way that's winning games is what's important and they're winning games when he steps in to play quarterback right now
Primetime Pints: I'm going to have to take your word on this because if I remember correctly, they had a you. a horrible record last season so i don't think they won that many games
Dylan: Don't take my quote for it.
Primetime Pints: But I will say. for a backup quarterback, their team doesn't just go into disaster. They are. slightly worse than they are. without him.
Dylan: I mean, he's he definitely helped Terry McLaurin. Non -existent for the first two games. and then
Primetime Pints: but Did you watch the first two games?
Dylan: Mariota shows up.
Primetime Pints: Terry McLaurin was very ex existent. He just had a ton of bad breaks.
Dylan: yeah
Primetime Pints: So. Terry McLaurin will be Terry McLaurin. I don't think anybody has anything to worry about that
Dylan: I don't know what's going on with their running back situation. So...
Primetime Pints: ah They have a room full of mediocre running backs.
Dylan: It's just...
Dylan: They had a lot of high hopes for Bill. Lot of high hopes.
Primetime Pints: I think the fantasy community had a lot of high hopes for Bill. I'm not sure that anybody beyond that.
Dylan: I mean, that was part of the reason that they got rid of Brian Rodriguez or Brian Robinson, wasn't it?
Primetime Pints: Was really expecting
Dylan: It was because. They brought Bill in and had such high hopes for him.
Primetime Pints: Don't know for sure on that. but uh Could be. Hell.
Dylan: Either way. I didn't see it coming.
Primetime Pints: Either way, at least they finally got some common sense. jayden daniels did you see this week is wearing an elbow brace
Dylan: ah Finally.
Primetime Pints: Tell me why that man who's a right -handed quarterback has not been wearing an elbow brace on his left elbow since he dislocated it the first time.
Dylan: That was probably the question that went through everybody's minds once they figured out it was a dislocated one.
Primetime Pints: It only took... let's Let's wait till dislocation number three. And then we'll go, maybe you should put it in the brace.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: Maybe we should have put a Bredas on this the first place.
Primetime Pints: Okay.
Primetime Pints: Did you see his interview? This week?
Dylan: Yeah. he's not worried about it
Primetime Pints: They said, does it affect? your throwing motion or handoffs or anything? And he said, nope, it has no impact on any of it. Then why weren't you wearing the damn brace?
Dylan: yeah I don't know.
Primetime Pints: From the first moment that you dislocate your elbow Put the brace on. It just makes no sense.
Dylan: They gotta figure something out though
Primetime Pints: The guy's 140 pounds. wet.
Dylan: They can't have their franchise quarterback getting as hurt as often as he is because that first season was great when he was healthy.
Primetime Pints: You can't
Dylan: But the last two seasons has just been injury plague. And he's just not producing. And you're not producing as a team like you want to because of it. so But hey.
Primetime Pints: Correct.
Dylan: You beat the defending Super Bowl champs. when everybody was there except for obviously Charbonnet, but...
Primetime Pints: Yep. Yeah. so oh yeah We'll see. All right, well, number two. It's close to the heart.
Dylan: hu
Primetime Pints: My boys, my Dallas Cowboys. Find a way to lose it at the buzzer. again. Again, it just takes me back to Green Bay. It takes me back. to San Francisco.
Primetime Pints: It's just these. heartbreaking fashions. The worst thing the Dallas Cowboys do to me is give me hope.
Dylan: I've seen.
Dylan: What?
Primetime Pints: Because if you think they're bad, it's no big deal.
Dylan: no
Primetime Pints: But whenever you think. that they have a chance. And then they do something like that. It just kills you.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: They just... Find ways to lose.
Dylan: The one thing i'm like in that game it was I was watching that just shocked me was the fact that they ran the ball 26 times with Derrick Henry. Like... He's not a young guy.
Dylan: I understand he's like a tough running hard running back, but 26 times is a lot of times running the ball for somebody.
Primetime Pints: Do you know why they did that?
Dylan: because he just couldn't be stopped.
Primetime Pints: No, he really didn't have that good of a game.
Dylan: Okay. I think he only had 89 yards.
Primetime Pints: The Cowboys are actually stopping him pretty well. The week before. um When they blew the lead to... Who would they play in week two?
Dylan: I don't know that they played in week two.
Primetime Pints: However, they were playing in week two. They ran the ball in the first half.
Dylan: Wanna see a photo?
Primetime Pints: And he was dominant. And they were winning big. and they blew a lead.
Dylan: That's kind of sick.
Primetime Pints: Hi Kelsey. Guest appearance. Shout out.
Dylan: yeah There's our wife.
Primetime Pints: But they were he was dominating.
Dylan: Yeah. grace.
Primetime Pints: He was he was. Killing. The game. And then in the second half, he had two carries. And they lost. They're playing with a lead. Give them two carries in a second half and they lose So that's all they heard all week was why didn't Derek get the ball in the second half?
Primetime Pints: Why didn't Derek get the ball in the second half?
Dylan: I mean, their offense should run around him anyways. He's still dominating.
Primetime Pints: So. yeah But that's why.
Dylan: And then you try to make a team stop him before you switch to... passing the ball tomorrow, so.
Primetime Pints: Awesome. The Cowboys stopped him on short yardage plays like four times. When does that happen? It doesn't.
Dylan: Doesn't.
Primetime Pints: So.
Dylan: Good stuff.
Primetime Pints: Another year. Another heartbreaker. Let's move on to number three.
Dylan: all Alright. The Denver comes back against the Rams. I'm gonna be honest. I did not stay up for this game. Because based on how the first half was going, I thought the Rams had it in the bag.
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: And the way that the... Broncos were playing. I just did not think there was a chance that they were going to keep up with the Rams coming out second half. so My head hit the pill pretty early. Woke up a little surprised seeing the outcome of the game But you know what? Good for the Broncos.
Primetime Pints: The Broncos may be the one of the more interesting teams. in the league. For the last two years. Because. I mean, last year, what'd they go? 14 and three. I mean...
Dylan: Oh, they played phenomenal last year, yeah.
Primetime Pints: a great record played phenomenal look their defense looks so dominant But then there's times where they just look terrible. And and I mean, and now rolling into this season. You all at Kansas City steamrolled them week one. They looked like nothing like they were.
Dylan: Yeah, well... At the same time.
Primetime Pints: Um.
Dylan: Like everything was firing that first game. I did not expect us to come out and play that well.
Primetime Pints: Shit.
Dylan: But.
Primetime Pints: But. But still, they were supposed to have a top three defense in the league, and that has not been the case.
Dylan: That's also true. There wasn't a whole lot of pressure coming from that defensive front that I thought was going to be there.
Primetime Pints: No, that hasn't been the case. It wasn't the case against the Rams either. um So yeah.
Dylan: I mean, even I think the biggest hype was Waddle coming in. And until last week. Or this week three, whatever. He was non -existent really? Which... I think it's just obviously playing time coming between him and Nix.
Primetime Pints: It takes time.
Dylan: But those first couple weeks was just kind of like a learning curve of him trying to figure out.
Primetime Pints: Yep.
Dylan: this new offense. so Big a cheese fan. I hope they don't figure it out, but I think as time goes on they're obviously gonna get on the same page more and those two are going to start hooking up a lot more.
Dylan: The...
Primetime Pints: Yeah. i but
Dylan: Our offense is going to start rolling a little better.
Primetime Pints: This is the first time that Waddles... really gotten a chance to step into a true number one role. I mean, obviously, whenever Tigre got injured, he had to assume that, but he was playing with concussion Tua. and the Dolphins could do nothing but check down the ball to A -chan.
Primetime Pints: So.
Dylan: yeah I mean, he's also got a quarterback that...
Primetime Pints: He's got to figure out.
Dylan: A little more accurate, throws the ball a little bit more in that offensive style, too. So he's got that going for him. but It's just trying to get on the same page is the biggest thing for those two.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, I don't think that Denver has too much to worry about going forward. I think they're still going to be a solid team. We'll see.
Dylan: All right, Green Bay and the Falcons.
Primetime Pints: Number four.
Primetime Pints: There's another one.
Dylan: Man, there's something going on with Green Bay
Primetime Pints: I did. I.
Dylan: It's not good.
Primetime Pints: I would have. considered clearing my bank account. to bet on Green Bay to cover that spread after watching the Falcons in week one and week two. The Falcons look so abysmal and terrible.
Dylan: What?
Primetime Pints: That.
Dylan: I didn't think that having Phoenix, a quarterback, was going to make that big of a difference for an offense.
Primetime Pints: i
Dylan: fence that had played that poorly.
Primetime Pints: Did you say? Phoenix?
Dylan: Phoenix?
Primetime Pints: Michael Pennix.
Dylan: Penix, whatever, how do you pronounce his name?
Primetime Pints: Yeah, he's not the Yeah, it sounded like something else he said.
Dylan: But he... He showed that It's his team for sure. Stop doing that. It's his team, and it made a world of a difference. But...
Primetime Pints: I did. and and if you're
Dylan: There's something going on with that Packers offense and defense that they need to get figured out.
Primetime Pints: Well the Packers don't have a run game Because apparently Marshawn Lloyd is not good. Um,
Dylan: All right. Which they gave them all this hype that they were really excited about him, but he just didn't do it.
Primetime Pints: Well, ever since I drafted him, he was supposed to be good and then he couldn't find the field because he's hurt and he's hurt and he's hurt.
Dylan: fingerling.
Primetime Pints: And he's finally healthy. and He just might not be good. So. We'll see you if Caleb Johnson can get there and get a feel for the system. Maybe he can show some signs of his Iowa days, but.
Primetime Pints: I mean, he couldn't find the field in Pittsburgh.
Dylan: i Don't know
Primetime Pints: so
Dylan: I feel like you trade for him and then they're just not really using him. I just... I understand it's probably just depth, but...
Primetime Pints: say Well, in...
Dylan: just give the guy a shot
Primetime Pints: Same thing. He's got to learn the system and and ramp up, right? You don't typically trade for running back and then start him that week.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: so
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: It'll be interesting to see how their carry split moving forward and kind of.
Dylan: The big question is... Even if Jacobs comes back. Like, obviously that helps the run game, but the defensive side, they're not really stopping.
Primetime Pints: No, and I don't know if that's a...
Dylan: seems like they need to be.
Primetime Pints: uh Micah Parsons comes back and all of a sudden when you can put pressure on the quarterback, it makes all of your defense better. which is the case when you have an elite pass rusher it helps the entire defense
Dylan: oh yeah
Primetime Pints: But the defense has looked.
Dylan: Makes a world of a difference.
Primetime Pints: Terrible. They I mean Like I said, the offense. If you look at fantasy football. They've got two top 11 wide receivers.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: In production. Golden and Watson are both killing it.
Dylan: Watson.
Primetime Pints: Which means... which means they're moving the ball.
Dylan: showing up so far.
Primetime Pints: But it's just... Bye.
Dylan: I don't know. LaFleur said they're not really doing anything right right now, so they got to figure something out. and just get on the same page.
Primetime Pints: and in And in that division. You better figure it out now.
Dylan: You can't sit there. and play us some games and wait until halfway through the season. It's just not going to work out.
Primetime Pints: no So. It looks like this the theme of this song... sunday six -pack is uh upsets because next one we got on the table number five
Dylan: i like it It's enjoyable.
Primetime Pints: is Chicago. with old man casing. Kingdom taken.
Dylan: I honestly love...
Primetime Pints: Take care. Down the Eagles. I loved watching that. It was just such a joy.
Dylan: Love seeing the Eagles lose.
Primetime Pints: Well, I really do.
Dylan: It's a great time, obviously, coming from the Cowboys fan. It's probably great for you, too. Coming from the Chiefs side of it, I do enjoy watching the Eagles lose. But like we discussed before, it's...
Dylan: The Eagles team right now is just... They were managing to win football games. It wasn't enjoyable to watch, but now it doesn't seem like they're having the same ability to manage those games.
Dylan: And it's just kind of slipping out of their hands right now.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, I mean, we have talked about this personally, but... hand up Jalen Hurts, he costs them a touchdown. And so... For anybody who didn't watch the game.
Primetime Pints: He gets hit right as he's going out of bounds. And he lays on the ground. face down. for like three seconds like he's out cold. Pops back up, goes to jog to the huddle. Well, of course. the medical watcher.
Primetime Pints: flags him, pulls him off the field. And now they're at the goal line. with their backup quarterback. And. they don't score You're telling me that they don't push push that in if he just gets up after getting hit Like. And that's a momentum play that was early in the game.
Dylan: I mean, it also comes down to coaching, too, because, yeah, you don't have Jalen Hurts, but you also, in that situation, if you didn't, they would probably put Dallas Goddard in the same situation and try the tush -push. You don't have him, but they just tried to run the ball the same exact time, three times in a row, and it just got stuffed to the point to where they didn't have a choice at that point to throw the ball.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, and I think everyone in the...
Dylan: And Andy Dalton just stared right down where he was going with that football.
Primetime Pints: Through a terrible interception.
Dylan: Just threw it right to the defender.
Primetime Pints: Terrible interception. It was almost as bad as Cam Ward's interception this week as they're trying to. ah tie the game to send it to overtime. Did you see that one?
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: I mean, he just threw a limp noodle. Now, I... Like on first down. Like he could have thrown it.
Dylan: It's like one of those throws where you throw it and you're like, I don't really know if I want to do this, but I'm going to throw it anyways.
Primetime Pints: He could have thrown it away.
Dylan: And then, yeah.
Primetime Pints: It looked like he just tossed it to the defender. It was just horrendous. so
Dylan: But yeah. Glad to see it. Happy to see the Bears take a win.
Primetime Pints: Yep.
Dylan: Bent Johnson at the Bears coach. Been a great pickup so far.
Primetime Pints: I got to pause real quick. All right. Sorry about that. Paul's got a phone call from the lovely wife. ah Let's head into beer number six of that six pack. Dylan, what do we got?
Dylan: We got Browns beat the Panthers.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. Um... The Panthers stink. They tried to force. They tried to force.
Dylan: They had some good weeks.
Primetime Pints: Mm -hmm
Dylan: And then they showed up for that game. They should have just stayed on the bus.
Primetime Pints: But... Possible. Is Deshaun Watson? Back?
Dylan: I don't know
Primetime Pints: Did he used to be a...
Dylan: I mean...
Primetime Pints: Order back. Yes. At some point in his career, he was. Very good.
Dylan: He's starting to slowly Make me think that he's playing back to Deshaun Watson that we saw with the Texans, like you said. But, but, hold on, hold on.
Primetime Pints: I don't know if he's going to get to that level. okay
Dylan: He's not going to get to that level.
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: But is at least... doing something for the contract that he got to start with. This is the first year I think he's done anything. for that contract
Primetime Pints: Yeah, that boy made a lot of money for a lot of nothing.
Dylan: Man. You got paid a lot of guaranteed money for doing absolutely nothing for a team. so
Primetime Pints: Yeah, that might be better than the Chase Daniels gig.
Dylan: i That's one of the things I was going to say. It might be better than Chase Daniel.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. Talk about making a lot of money for just hanging out.
Dylan: Yeah. But yeah, just watching that game. And you watch just how poor the passing game was for the Panthers. when that is heavily what they rely on and then chuba coming in it's just Nobody was doing anything whatsoever. so
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: They better flip it around and figure it out for this week or... It's gonna be a long season if it keeps down this trend again.
Primetime Pints: Yep. Mm hmm.
Dylan: Also... What? How does Darren Waller just all of a sudden show up? And he just... is in the end zone or he's in the red zone doing something. Like...
Primetime Pints: Don't know.
Dylan: I don't understand it
Primetime Pints: I don't either. So that's how Darren Waller. career began. Darren Waller didn't become good until he was already like. in the league for five years and nobody knew who he was.
Primetime Pints: And he just showed up and was like, oh, this guy's good.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: And then he was good for a few years and then he's disappeared. And then. Oh, is he good again?
Dylan: Yeah. I mean, if he just gets targeted in the red zone, like nobody can apparently play defense on him when he gets in the red zone.
Primetime Pints: Is it? Good.
Dylan: I don't understand.
Primetime Pints: Hear me out. Darren Waller, Deshaun Watson. Spider -Man meme.
Dylan: Could be.
Primetime Pints: Same guy. Same guy.
Dylan: Could be. Could be.
Primetime Pints: both trying to return to their former selves.
Dylan: I like it I like it.
Primetime Pints: Mm hmm. Mm hmm. All right, let's... Go into stock up stock. Down.
Dylan: All right, would you like to start with your stock up?
Primetime Pints: Every week we're going to have risers. We're going to have fallers. Dylan. Do you want to start with the positives or start with the negatives? How do you want to roll?
Dylan: Hmm. That's tough. Let's start with the negatives. Let's just be negative to start with
Primetime Pints: That's fine. I like in and on a high note. What's your stock down for the week? Who are we looking at?
Dylan: My stock down is Travis ETN.
Dylan: And...
Primetime Pints: elaborate. Yep.
Dylan: The biggest reason is because he just is not performing. like people thought he was when he got the contract. And ever since Kamara came back. the workload between them both has been pretty close to equal.
Dylan: Obviously, Kamara's not getting the running touches. He's getting more of the receiving side. But now that... ETN has the hamstring injury, it's just going to open the door for Kamara getting more touches and doing more involved in that.
Dylan: saints offense i know he's getting older but etn is just not getting the touches and the performance that people thought he was getting so My opinion is his stocks gonna go down because if Chimera comes out.
Dylan: this next game and produces pretty well for the saints. They're not just going to be like, oh, right well. etn's back take a back seat you're done so
Primetime Pints: So I think I saw somewhere he was. if not the first one of the first free agent signings this off season, like it happened within the first four hours of free agency. And they gave him elite running back money.
Primetime Pints: Like. He's one of the...
Dylan: How's that?
Primetime Pints: one of the
Dylan: 52 million?
Primetime Pints: i was I don't know the exact details.
Dylan: Something like that.
Primetime Pints: You should probably find that out. But. it was It was good money. And top money for running back.
Dylan: He has a four -year, $52 million dollar deal they gave him.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. Yep. And then I don't know what they saw during training camp. I don't know. What is going on? The Saints have been fine. they've they've plank I mean, they're 1 -2, but they've been competitive and they've looked good.
Dylan: Okay.
Primetime Pints: So what minus the very first half.
Dylan: they've been fine besides The first half of the game or first half of the year.
Primetime Pints: But the first half of the first game.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: Yeah, then they they look terrible there.
Dylan: That was rough.
Primetime Pints: But so it's like. They know something we don't. Because he's... Like I said, the workload isn't there. So... That tells you all I need to know he's not on the field
Dylan: Yeah. I mean... I would think it'd be something with him. that they don't like performance -wise, but Keiondre Miller's not touching the ball very much or getting touches very much, which is was their...
Primetime Pints: Kindred.
Dylan: RB2 from last year. I just think they are just so high on Kamara still that they just can't get out of their heads of not using him in some way. And the first two weeks before Kamara got back, he obviously didn't produce like they wanted him to. so I think they're just leaving the door open for him to still try to contribute as much as they can with when they have him.
Dylan: but my That's my stock down is ETN.
Primetime Pints: i guess i guess we'll We'll find out this week with him missing a game.
Dylan: I just don't think he's going to be.
Primetime Pints: So we'll see if Kamara's still got it in.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: In them or not.
Dylan: I think he's going to have to have a... Solid. really solid two weeks of playing to be able to grind back up to what people are were expecting him to be before the season started. so We'll see.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. Well... My stock down. Some people might call him Mr. Schedule. Drake May.
Primetime Pints: boy boy boy boy boy Drake May Man.
Dylan: He definitely fooled people.
Primetime Pints: Last year. Guy looked elite. I mean he...
Dylan: You could have convinced me he was going to be top three again this year.
Primetime Pints: Obviously. It led the team to a Super Bowl. Fantasy wise was the top five fancy quarterback. I mean... Not a lot of weapons around him at the time.
Primetime Pints: And now, I mean, losing A .J. Brown obviously is a big impact. But. Boy, the first three weeks do not look good for Drake May.
Dylan: I mean, he didn't have... um any like standout elite wide receiver ones last year either. And he still produced really well.
Primetime Pints: No.
Dylan: but
Primetime Pints: Yep. Yeah.
Dylan: I don't know. he's He's just not. doing anything close to what he was doing last season. So.
Primetime Pints: No, but whenever your top target now is ah Mac Hollins. It's also not a good place to be.
Dylan: I mean, Romeo Dobbs went there, and everybody had high hopes for him too, and he's just just not doing anything.
Primetime Pints: That drop.
Dylan: Just drops.
Primetime Pints: The drop he had on week one was so egregious.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: It was just...
Dylan: God.
Primetime Pints: How does an NFL wide receiver drop that ball?
Dylan: I think the drop.
Primetime Pints: I mean, it was a cupcake.
Dylan: has just killed the confidence.
Primetime Pints: It wasn't like. There's bullets that... Guys, drop. No, this was a... he could have handed in that ball and he still would have dropped it.
Dylan: Oh, yeah. It was just tossed to him. Yeah.
Primetime Pints: Like. Terrible.
Dylan: Yeah. i don't I don't know. The Patriots are in trouble. and Unless he somehow miraculously turns it around. It's going to be a long season.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. yep All right, let's move into our playoff pint. So...
Dylan: Well, we got our stock up still.
Primetime Pints: Oh, you're right. Thank you.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: I jumped the gun. I was so i was enjoying just bashing those two.
Dylan: Now you.
Dylan: Yep, you go ahead. You go ahead do you start with your stock up.
Primetime Pints: Okay. My stock up. Might be a little biased. I might have him on my fantasy team. Jeremiah Love. Stock up.
Primetime Pints: The Cardinals.
Dylan: I like it.
Primetime Pints: The Cardinals did the right thing. Coming out of the preseason, high ankle sprain. They. Slowly worked him in week one. Week two. And then week three. he took over the backfield and looked phenomenal.
Dylan: I mean, he's... He's going to be a stud. So seeing him take most of the workload, which. Like you said before, it was a health issue trying to get him back from the high ankle sprain. But I think once he's fully healthy, that man is just going to be another B. John. He's just going to take over the full workload. He's just going to.
Dylan: catch the ball out of the backfield he's going to have so much under him leg wise to run the football it's it's going to be fun to watch him but it's going to be on a cardinal struggling ah offense that they're going to have to sit there and do something to utilize him correctly.
Primetime Pints: Another bad team. this Bad team. Let's look good. They look good. They had I mean, they're scoring points.
Dylan: I think yeah the biggest downside is their defense is just not able to really stop.
Primetime Pints: Trey McBride. Trey McBride's phenomenal.
Dylan: people when they need them to.
Primetime Pints: You know, if their elite high draft pick wide receiver would actually play like an elite high draft pick wide receiver, they might be good.
Dylan: There's another fool
Primetime Pints: but For now. You have the best tight end in football. And now. What's Jeremiah love?
Dylan: You got high hopes in a rookie running back too.
Primetime Pints: ah After this season, where's Jeremiah Love going to be in the running back conversation? Top 10?
Dylan: I would say. If they keep, they utilize him. close to what they did this last week, I think he finishes top 10. And.
Primetime Pints: yep well even I'm not even talking about finishing.
Dylan: fantasy but
Primetime Pints: I'm saying, hey, name me the top 10 running backs in the NFL right now.
Dylan: Oh, he'll be in the top 10 running backs too, yeah.
Primetime Pints: Is he going to be in the top 10 in the NFL?
Dylan: Yeah. I'd say he's top 10. If they utilize him like they they need to.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. Exactly stock up.
Dylan: Yep.
Primetime Pints: if you If you can get you a piece of Jeremiah Love, go do it before it's too late. All right.
Dylan: all alright
Primetime Pints: Who you got?
Dylan: My stock up, Drake London. Love the man. with my... or Mike. at quarterback He just throws him the ball so much, targets him so much. And it's not just throwing the ball at him. It's throwing it to him correctly and getting him the football.
Dylan: Just watching London the first two weeks. Cooper Rush was... Trying to target him, just couldn't get the ball near or close to him. So they're not on the same page whatsoever. But seeing...
Primetime Pints: and
Dylan: Mike, come back.
Primetime Pints: They might have been on the same page. I think Cooper Rush is just bad.
Dylan: Yeah, he's not great. But it made a world of a difference having his quarterback back, obviously. going what we had nine a Seven, eight, nine catches somewhere in there, and like 119 yards with him back the first game. like He just gets open and he gets in the ball.
Dylan: And it's not like he's trying to force in the ball. It's just the fact that they are so in sync with each other right now that they can actually know when the person's going to throw in the ball or where they're going at in space. so Drake London's my stock up. I tried to get him in fantasy.
Dylan: Couldn't, sadly.
Primetime Pints: You should have got him before week three.
Dylan: I was really hoping I could get in before. I was really trying to get him before week three because I had a feeling that was going to happen, but...
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: That is my stock up. If somehow you can get him now. and somewhat save something, I would try it, but it's going to be really hard to. capture the stock up right now on drake london because i feel like he's just gonna keep climbing so
Primetime Pints: Yeah, I don't think anybody's getting rid of Drake London.
Dylan: No. I would not by any means give it a Jake London. So.
Primetime Pints: Alright. Now. We will transition into our playoff pint. Each week we're going to go over one AFC. or AFC team or division, one NFC team or division.
Primetime Pints: Talk about the playoff picture. Talk about how it's looking. Why don't you kick us off with that AFC villain?
Dylan: Alright, this might be a little biased. since I'm a cheese fan. But does Kirk have what it takes to keep the Raiders winning right now? 3 -0. Did I picture this was going to happen from the Raiders based on how the last couple seasons have gone?
Dylan: and Kirk Cousins jumping on the ship. No. had no implications whatsoever if they were going to be 3 -0. so That's... My biggest thing right now is is he gonna be able to keep it up enough to keep them in the winning category going forward
Primetime Pints: We'll see. I don't. Through three weeks. Their defense has looked phenomenal. Um. in the I saw a graphic this week.
Primetime Pints: In the fourth quarter... They have given up zero points and they have seven. Turnovers. Through three weeks. So in the fourth quarter, of the they're just not giving anything up.
Dylan: It makes a difference. Defense definitely makes a difference.
Primetime Pints: Excuse me.
Dylan: I will say having Bowers back. It's going to make a big difference for him too.
Primetime Pints: I still think it's Kansas City's division. To lose.
Dylan: Oh yeah. But.
Primetime Pints: Um, Obviously, Denver's going to be there. so And then the Chargers, I mean.
Dylan: Why that like I don't know what's happening with them Like they just don't look even close to the same team. It's just like the Patriots last year.
Primetime Pints: It doesn't make sense.
Dylan: The Patriots and the Chargers don't even look close to the same team that they did.
Primetime Pints: No.
Dylan: Herbert cannot hit the broad side of a barn half the time when he's still in the football. so
Primetime Pints: ah he also When he does hit the broadside, he's got a 50 -50 shot of his wide receiver dropping it.
Dylan: That's also the fair. Fair statement, too. so
Primetime Pints: So.
Dylan: That was not who I was going to pick to be the bottom of the AFC West when the season started. i was If you would have asked me, I would have probably said it was going to be the Raiders.
Primetime Pints: and that was I mean, they did have the number one overall draft pick, and they're not... playing the number so the guy that they had the number one pick on is not impacting the team. And they are still 3 -0.
Dylan: And they're still 3 -0. It's pretty frustrating.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. So. All right, NFC.
Primetime Pints: Let's talk about the worst division in football.
Dylan: Hmm.
Primetime Pints: ah The NFC South. Are we going to have another year?
Dylan: It's bad.
Primetime Pints: with a team with a losing record, make the playoffs.
Dylan: If it keeps going like this, it's very possible Very possible.
Primetime Pints: i To me, I think the favorite has to be the Saints. I don't know what the betting odds are right now for the division. But...
Dylan: a
Primetime Pints: the Until the Falcons played Green Bay, they looked... like the worst team in the league.
Dylan: If I had to... Bet I would say it'd probably be the Panthers, just barely above. The Saints, just based on how they played the Bears. And obviously some of the offensive threats they have, but it's it's going to be close. It's got to be between the Panthers and the Saints.
Dylan: like I don't think Tampa Bay touches it, especially now that Baker's hurt.
Primetime Pints: I guess.
Primetime Pints: Baker's hurt, and before Baker got hurt... Baker looked terrible too.
Dylan: so Yeah, he's just he got paid And he just fell off the wagon.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. He just looked bad.
Dylan: Yeah. I had high hopes for Chris Godwin coming back.
Primetime Pints: So.
Dylan: but It looks like he's just not going to produce anything this year.
Primetime Pints: But yeah. i I mean, if you just think about that injury when it happened, he was on the cart.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: He asked the trainer. is my Is my career over? Probably should have been.
Dylan: True.
Primetime Pints: Yeah. So I think that they're missing Mike Evans.
Dylan: Oh yeah.
Primetime Pints: Quite a bit.
Dylan: I mean, he's still getting his just beaten up.
Primetime Pints: I did see a fun ah hypothetical for next year, though.
Dylan: That San Francisco one.
Dylan: That's a fun one.
Primetime Pints: They... ah currently hold the second overall pick in the draft They could pair Emeka Igbuka. with Jeremiah Smith. And that all of a sudden becomes...
Dylan: I feel like... Cool.
Primetime Pints: scary.
Dylan: Because the question is, do you think Jeremiah Smith's good enough to go number one?
Primetime Pints: I don't. I don't know if a receiver has ever gone number one.
Dylan: ah He looks phenomenal.
Primetime Pints: That is.
Dylan: The man looks so good.
Primetime Pints: do you Do you know?
Dylan: And if if you' you get your team gets the first overall pick and you need wide receiver help.
Primetime Pints: i
Dylan: Do you tell them to go after it?
Dylan: Great. Let's say there's some defensive help that you need, too. but
Primetime Pints: Okay. Here we go. Three times in NFL history a drafter receiver has been drafted. First overall pick. Two of them I have not heard of.
Dylan: Okay, well, that's probably not going to help me guess that.
Primetime Pints: So you're definitely not. you're not going to get it, period. So we won't even play that game.
Dylan: Well what year is it?
Primetime Pints: 1960. ah The one that you know. is 1996.
Dylan: 1996
Primetime Pints: That is the one player that... i Guarantee, you know.
Dylan: Who do you play for?
Primetime Pints: um He was drafted by the Jets. He had a stop with my Dallas Cowboys.
Dylan: Nope, give me it.
Primetime Pints: Keyshawn Johnson.
Dylan: Okay.
Primetime Pints: But the other two are. 1984, Irving Fryer. and 1964. Dave Parks.
Dylan: Yeah, we might be old but we're not that old So.
Primetime Pints: Don't know those guys. Don't know them.
Dylan: Okay.
Primetime Pints: All right
Primetime Pints: Let's move into our fantasy takeaways of the week. What are are the biggest questions? What are the... Biggest. just impacts.
Primetime Pints: Give me... something in the fantasy world that you got to be paying attention to.
Dylan: I mean the biggest one I think it's Brock Bowers being back. missing two weeks was touch up in his knee and then he comes right back and he picks up right where he left off I mean... He's the same Guy he is, different quarterback, and still producing at a high level.
Dylan: Which...
Primetime Pints: You could argue stock up. but his stock couldn't go any higher. i mean I think everybody already had his stock all the way up.
Dylan: I mean, it was already up. There's no way. Nowhere for it to go
Primetime Pints: So you can't really stock up that.
Dylan: Yeah.
Primetime Pints: But. Yeah. i mean If you drafted Brock Bowers and you were disappointed for the first two weeks, you got to rejoice. in week three.
Dylan: Yeah. Yeah, you just see why.
Primetime Pints: Because he is. Clearly.
Dylan: Why you drafted him?
Primetime Pints: Clearly the best play they might. Well, Max Crosby's there. He's their best offensive player on that team.
Dylan: Oh yeah, definitely.
Primetime Pints: Like, bye.
Dylan: Definitely the best offensive player on the team.
Primetime Pints: By far.
Dylan: Yeah, he's definitely solid. He makes a difference for sure.
Primetime Pints: I think the other... Phoenix to take what he's going to look at. is the running back situations in Miami and in New York. Right.
Dylan: I... Like, obviously you hate to lose, A. Chanon. Hall because they're just such good running backs, but I like Ollie Gordon a lot flight.
Primetime Pints: Oh.
Dylan: He's a large running back.
Primetime Pints: Oh.
Dylan: He's got the speed and agility. he except for his last year at Oklahoma State. performed really, really well.
Primetime Pints: He stayed in college one year too long.
Dylan: So I... Pink. Yeah, I think when he gets a chance to be the number one.
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: It's going to depend on who they're playing. Um, But I think... he has a chance to really show what he has. And I think he has some upside going forward. through the year, but we'll see.
Primetime Pints: The only... The only thing you got to worry about there is the dolphins like Jalen Wright.
Dylan: I know.
Primetime Pints: For whatever reason, they have liked Jalen Wright, and so it's going to be a split backfield.
Dylan: but
Primetime Pints: It is not going to be just the Ollie Gordon show. And they're a terrible offense.
Dylan: Yeah, he's going to have to have a great rushing performance at some point in order to Take over some of the reins for that backfield
Primetime Pints: Yep.
Dylan: so
Primetime Pints: And then obviously Braylon Allen. is the easy pickup. for the Jets.
Dylan: Oh yeah.
Primetime Pints: um Who knows? I never saw any further information on how long Breeze Hall is going to be out. But...
Dylan: i don't I don't think it's very long.
Primetime Pints: While he's out.
Dylan: I think it's ah like maybe max one or two weeks.
Primetime Pints: okay
Dylan: From what I saw last time.
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: Don't quote me on that, but I don't think it's very long, but still.
Primetime Pints: Well... Well. While he's out, Braylon Allen's going to be... A perfect. Pick up and play. I mean.
Dylan: Oh yeah.
Primetime Pints: He was already getting reps and numbers. with him there.
Dylan: which they said I think the Jets were hoping he had a chance of playing this week.
Primetime Pints: which means...
Dylan: But I think precautionary, they're just not going to play Brees this week. So it's going to be a one -week thing. Max maybe two weeks, but... while he's gone he's going to pick up and be able to produce just fine for the jets so i think Allen is definitely one of the solid waiver wire pickups for this week if you can somehow get him.
Dylan: Obviously wouldn't break the bank on him because he's probably not gonna be there for very long in the starting lineup.
Primetime Pints: It's gonna be temporary. Yep.
Dylan: But... If you can get the... Ollie Gordon pickup, that's definitely the pickup to go for. It's just going to be a gamble whether he's going to produce like a number one like you want him to.
Primetime Pints: and And can that offense produce?
Dylan: So.
Primetime Pints: Anything. to give you valuable numbers because a -chan wasn't getting valuable numbers and he's
Dylan: No, it's just the ah offense is staled or stalled.
Primetime Pints: So that that's...
Dylan: they're just not producing
Primetime Pints: That's the biggest problem with the Ollie Gordon pickup is. You just. Their offense stinks.
Dylan: Yeah, they got to figure something out. Their defense isn't doing much better either. so they got They got to change something up and get something rolling if they want to start producing some points. so
Primetime Pints: Okay. Well, let's ah let's transition into our weekly. Bar bet. Bar bet trivia. What do you think, Dylan?
Primetime Pints: Alright. Let's transition into this week's Barbet. For everybody who's new to the show, Barbet is going to be... three trivia questions. ah Best two out of three or. just you know if one of us at least get to one of them right and the other one loses then Loser has to finish their beer.
Dylan: I'm just going for one at this point.
Primetime Pints: If we tie... If we tie, we both finish our beer.
Dylan: I didn't get any of them right. So.
Primetime Pints: So today...
Dylan: Oh, never mind. We got to roll, guys.
Primetime Pints: Today, we've got my brother Joe as our guest trivia. Question asker. Joe, go ahead. What do you got for us? All right, so as we watch tonight's game, the first question is.
Primetime Pints: How many miles is it from Cleveland? To Pittsburgh.
Dylan: Buzz.
Primetime Pints: closest one wins.
Dylan: Buzz.
Primetime Pints: Okay. Dylan, go ahead. You got first answer.
Dylan: 120 miles.
Primetime Pints: Dylan says 120 miles. I am gonna go... 150 miles.
Primetime Pints: It is 134 miles. Dylan with the point. By one.
Primetime Pints: Dillon is 14. You were 16 off. Oh, two. Sorry.
Dylan: Yep, we should have guessed closer.
Primetime Pints: One from the median.
Dylan: You should have guessed closer.
Primetime Pints: Okay, Dylan's up 1 -0.
Dylan: Hell yeah.
Primetime Pints: all right In both cities we have their top landmarks. What is the top landmark in both cities that people visit? it
Primetime Pints: I have a guess for Cleveland.
Primetime Pints: the The Great Lake.
Primetime Pints: okay does dylan have a I guess.
Dylan: Uh, a statue of LeBron James.
Primetime Pints: He said a statue of LeBron James. Okay. Those are both incorrect. Do you both have a guess? for The Steelers. Do we have a Pittsburgh guess?
Primetime Pints: A Pittsburgh guess?
Dylan: Flip. Pittsburgh.
Primetime Pints: I don't know anything about Pittsburgh ah the coal mines.
Dylan: I'm going to say some kind of a peer.
Primetime Pints: Dylan have a guess? ah He said a appear.
Primetime Pints: um No, those are incorrect. So. Cleveland is the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. that. I knew that. Pittsburgh is the point state park where you can see all rivers that combine into one.
Primetime Pints: Would have never gotten that in a million years. good All right. Can I tie it up or is Dylan going to take week one? What's question question number three? The last question. directly correlates with the game. Who are the top? passing Yards of leaders of both teams.
Primetime Pints: In all all time. Of all time, yes. Buzz. Okay. Ben Roethlisberger for the Steelers.
Primetime Pints: and office per okay Correct. Excellent. That is correct. Yeah. Okay, so I got Steelers. Dylan, I'll give you first chance to get the Browns.
Dylan: You'll give me for a first chance. Do you know the Browns won?
Primetime Pints: I can't tell you that
Dylan: That's a yes or no question.
Primetime Pints: I can't tell you that Dylan.
Dylan: Do you know who the Browns' all -time leading passer is?
Primetime Pints: Dylan's asking if I know. who the all -time leading passer of the Browns is.
Dylan: and
Primetime Pints: You need a one, bro.
Primetime Pints: All right. Need an answer, Dylan.
Dylan: I'm trying to think
Primetime Pints: Yes or no?
Dylan: I don't know
Primetime Pints: Dylan has no answer. All right. We're tied one to one right now. Tied one to one means we both finished our beer.
Dylan: Wait, so this question counts as two?
Primetime Pints: Well, no, if anybody can guess who the Cleveland passing. leader is when they win.
Dylan: It sounds like Taren knows who it is, but it's just one question with two answers.
Primetime Pints: I... i don't you can you can You can make a guess just to try to see.
Dylan: Do you want me to make a guess? I'm trying to think of who would be quarterbacks that I could think of.
Primetime Pints: i'm trying to I can't think of any historic ones. My best guess would be Baker Mayfield, and there's no way it's Baker Mayfield.
Dylan: There's no way it's Baker Mayfield.
Primetime Pints: make comments
Dylan: Hmm. that was the first person that came to mind for me also.
Primetime Pints: I also have no answer. So. All right, do you guys want a tiebreaker question or?
Dylan: Yeah, it gave us one.
Primetime Pints: Do you want to end it as a tie and you both finish your beer?
Dylan: No, I want a tiebreaker
Primetime Pints: Yeah. Well that just, you just.
Dylan: One of us is winning. One of us is losing.
Primetime Pints: completely change a segment. But yeah, Dylan, that's fine. That's a tiebreaker.
Dylan: Meh.
Primetime Pints: which city invented the Big Mac. Buzz. Cleveland.
Dylan: but Buzz. Pittsburgh.
Primetime Pints: Till then, guess Pittsburgh. I guess Cleveland. Pittsburgh is correct. thought.
Dylan: so Baby!
Primetime Pints: Damn. 0 and 1.
Dylan: Let's go!
Primetime Pints: All right, Joe, thank you. for your trivia questions.
Dylan: That's a week one win for Dylan.
Primetime Pints: you're welcome I didn't know how the... the record or if you guys want to learn about so there you go there we go thank you next time
Dylan: Love it.
Primetime Pints: Appreciate it.
Dylan: Love it. Thanks, Joe.
Primetime Pints: a Yep.
Primetime Pints: I think that ah the mid -game rule change... Some people might question that, but I'll respect it.
Dylan: You got to play the... Play the fence here. We did set a de define and definitive line.
Primetime Pints: all right
Dylan: Also, guys.
Primetime Pints: let's wrap it up
Dylan: Hope you like my background.
Primetime Pints: Last call. Last call.
Dylan: What you got?
Primetime Pints: My last call. Pick of the week. I am taking... for next Sunday. The Arizona Cardinals minus two and a half over the New York.
Primetime Pints: Giants.
Dylan: I like it.
Primetime Pints: James Swenson has looked horrendous.
Dylan: I think it's gonna happen.
Primetime Pints: without Jackson Dart the Giants do not look like the same team at all
Primetime Pints: Jeremiah Love. Was my stock up? I think. The Cardinals handle the Giants. No problem. I'll take the two and a half. Give me the Cardinals.
Dylan: I like it It's a pretty good bet. I changed mine up a little bit.
Primetime Pints: All right
Dylan: Because I had more fancy relevant i'm going to change it and say that
Primetime Pints: It can be fantasy relevant. It can be whatever you want.
Dylan: I know, but I felt like I should change it to be...
Primetime Pints: It's just your Last call. Last call of the week.
Dylan: A little more. focused in. I'm going to go Olave for 100 plus receiving yards this week. Playing in the... Falcons and their defense has not been great against wide receivers this year. I think they're six among.
Dylan: fantasy points for wide receivers this season. Man's been targeted a lot. Getting a lot of yards regardless. I think he goes for 100 yards. I think he goes for 20 plus fantasy. I think he's going to be a top performer. I would say he would push for number one, but there's nobody touching Jackson Smith and Jigba. He's up by like 30 points.
Dylan: on.
Primetime Pints: Yeah.
Dylan: second place so He has a... potential I think to jump into second place after this week.
Primetime Pints: There you go. You heard it here. You're a betting man? Don't come crying to us whenever we're wrong.
Dylan: Hmm.
Primetime Pints: But I'm taking them both. Okay.
Dylan: I'll bet it We'll be back next week to tell you how it goes.
Primetime Pints: That'll... That'll wrap it up. Thanks for joining. Uh... Prime time and pints. Done. What do the people get at Primetime Pints?
Dylan: They get some good they big games, some cold beers, and some hot takes, baby.
Primetime Pints: Yes, I do
Dylan: and some poor dance moves.
Primetime Pints: Thanks. for Thanks for joining.
