Speaker: This weekend is Halloween. Every party my kids go to, they wear a different costume. I do feel like this tracks. Like, it's like not, you wouldn't want to wear the same dress or same outfit. Like, you would change it up. So I feel like this totally tracks. I mean, it seems like a lot.
Speaker: I have three parties to go to. I've got two of my costumes. I don't know what my third one is. I'm like, well, I absolutely love Halloween. I think it gets a little gory. There's some, like we were in a neighborhood the other day and I was like, that actually is scary. Like, why did they decorate like that? Welcome to Three Little Fishes.
Speaker: We're three sisters who grew up in the Midwest together, but have since spread across the country. I live in Los Angeles. I'm in Nashville. And I live in Philadelphia. We are all married with children, have all had careers, but now we stay at home with our families. Join us as we share secrets and stories about being women, wives, and mothers. We welcome you to laugh along, learn something new, reach out, and join our conversation.
Speaker: So let's jump in.
Speaker: What's up, fishes? just What's up, fishes? Good to see buddy good so if you. Good. So if you watch the pod, we all are trying to be a little festive as we're heading into Halloween week.
Speaker: I have my witch hat on and my googly eyes. And Kathy also has a witch hat on and Linda has on cat ears. I should have drawn some like- I thought they're leopard.
Speaker: They're leopard. They're leopard ears. I should done whiskers. I mean, we're not that exciting. I mean, Kathy and I kind of semi-match. I didn't get the memo.
Speaker: I know. Don't you have a witch outfit? I do have a witch outfit, but I didn't get the memo from you two. Sorry. i did my own thing.
Speaker: This is what I do for Halloween. I'm pretty boring. i wear my witch hat. I have my overalls on. I put on googly eyes on my fingers, and that's about as crazy as I get. So what is the, why why the overalls with the witch hat? Like it's a farmer witch or what's going on there?
Speaker: I don't know. It just is something that I do. do It's just what I do. like Yeah. You have like a witchy skirt or something. Yeah. Because, because I'm just not that fun. um Yes, you are.
Speaker: um i don't know. I just, I think I love my overalls. So any chance I feel like I can wear them. Okay. I do. Well, you look cute. I want to tell you guys. bitch. So Halloween is on Saturday this year, which is like yeah the perfect time. And our friends actually are hosting a Halloween party.
Speaker: and I'm kind of excited to go to this party because I think it's going to be super fun. But the the downside is I don't know what I'm going wear. Like iphon I've known about this for a while and I thought I'd be prepared, but I'm not.
Speaker: And I have no idea what I'm going do. So will you do like a couple's costume or? I don't know. like So I have a friend. I just i have an idea for you because she just sent me a picture. They love Ted Lasso. You love Ted Lasso. And she just bought her and her husband ted Lasso outfits. She's going as the football. And um the husband is going as Coach Lasso.
Speaker: She's going to be a football? Yeah, she's going in a blow-up football. That's funny. yeah so So you could do that. I've done those costumes that are big like that. It's just hard to get around. could be fat like a football. Yeah, but then you could like, listen, you can eat what you want. You don't have to worry if you spill anything on yourself and everybody will give you space. It's like you've got your own little hula hoop with you that no one will invade.
Speaker: There you have to look into that. right. Well, i i actually was going to also do as a little party favor for her.
Speaker: some Halloween jello shots I was going to make for her. i I love this for you. Nobody loves the jello shots like you. Nobody. You know what, Kathy? you Instead of just cutting it into squares, you could get like a little bat, like cookie cutter or something and do it with like a fun shape.
Speaker: That is an excellent idea. Well, this recipe calls for orange... jello and lemon jello and then you put like whipping cream on top and kind of sprinkle like you know little decorative halloween sprinkles on the top it looks really cute sure so i think i'm going to make her a tray of those because she would i like it I like this idea for you.
Speaker: It sounds sweet. all right like That sounds awful to me, but I like the look of it. Aesthetically, I think it sounds cute. think it will be you know in the orange theme, so it's good. do You do like orange. yeah i mean Can you imagine trying to come up with black jello?
Speaker: oh like How would you do that? i mean i don't know. Yuck. Yeah. Orange is a safe bet. I like it. Okay. Well, that sounds like fun. going to hear the report out next week. All right, you guys. On today's show, we're going to be talking about tips and tricks, fear and fun, Halloween, and what's for dinner. Before we get into it, just want remind all of you to please rate, review, and invite your favorite fishes to jump in and join our conversation.
Speaker: All right. Tips and tricks. Well, I have a little um trick I figured out this week. I was cleaning bathroom floors and I have, you know, this is not exciting. Nobody cleans more than you. You have like just you and your husband there and you're constantly cleaning. But I have dogs. I have dogs and i have an older house. So I was trying to clean grout and,
Speaker: In the past, I put bleach on the grout, which is so bad for the grout. Like it absorbs it and it kind of disintegrates. It's very bad for it. But I figured out that if you put hydrogen peroxide on your grout and like kind of scrub it in with a grout brush and let it sit for a few minutes, and then you just use like Windex or whatever to clean it up, it comes right. All the dirt kind of like magically comes out. So hydrogen peroxide your friend.
Speaker: Nice. I had no idea. Yeah. I didn't know. I'll have to try it. yeah Cleaning grout sounds terrible, but it's a terrible satisfying when it's done. It is, but it's a terrible job.
Speaker: Yeah. Okay, you guys. So we are in October and the high end of November. It's like pumpkin season. ye So Linda, you reminded us that pumpkins are fruits.
Speaker: Yeah. They're fruits. Yeah. I had no idea. We treat them as a vegetable, but they're fruit. Yeah. Yeah. yeah So it's of Because I was like, i was trying to be all smart. I'm like, I'm going to make, I'm going to incorporate some pumpkin into like dinner and get, you know, our vegetables in. And you're like, it's a fruit. It's a fruit.
Speaker: Yeah. It's a fruit. Yeah. Yeah. So i like a little tip in case anybody didn't know that. Okay. um Speaking of pumpkins. So we love to get pumpkins, all three of us. Mm-hmm.
Speaker: And a trick is that you probably heard is using, making sure you clean them like the outside of them when you get them with um equal parts of white vinegar and water and spraying really well is one way you can do it and then dry it off. And even after you carve them,
Speaker: spray them down again. Yeah. And like, so they'll last longer, but they kind of, you know, hold off the mold. Did you know to spray them after you cut them? I didn't know that. I've heard that. Actually, I've heard too, that if you put like some Vaseline or something in the cut areas that it gets, keeps the pumpkin hydrated and it doesn't shrivel up as quickly.
Speaker: i heard another tip too, is using WD-40 prevents the pumpkin from rotting. Because I have had pumpkin rot before and it's nasty. It is nasty. um yeah Yeah, it's gross. I know. I mean, I secretly, back when I lived in Chicago, we would do our pumpkins and then we'd put them out. And I would kind of like hope and pray some kid would come and like smash it into the street so I wouldn't have to clean it up.
Speaker: do mean because they would get like all mushy and gross and I'd have to take a bag out there and like clean them up and it was disgusting so I always would be like somebody throw it into the street so I don't have to deal with it ah so I had posted on Instagram this week on the 3LF Instagram um I heard a tip or a trick yeah you know when you carve a pumpkin and You know, when you first start to carve it, you have to clean out the guts. And they said to like use a hand mixer and like put it in there to like clean it out. And I am here to tell you that was not my experience. I was so excited to be like, if I never have to use a spoon to get these guts out again, will be amazing.
Speaker: And I don't know, like, I don't know if my mixer was just my handheld mixer. I thought, I think they're all the same size, right? Aren't they all standard sizes? I would think so. I have no idea. Maybe my mixer is too big. I haven't done a deep dive in like mixer sizes, but it did not work and I was disappointed.
Speaker: So I had to pull out the old spoon. I mean, it does take some muscles to get all that stuff out of there. Yeah. Get it all clean. It's just the slime of it is so gross. Yeah.
Speaker: I mean, I don't find it gross, but i it does take a little bit of effort and work. You're funny. um so this weekend is Halloween.
Speaker: And I don't know if anybody out there has college students like we do, but every party my kids go to, they wear a different costume. I do feel like this tracks. Like it's like not, you wouldn't want to wear the same dress or same outfit. Like we would change it up. So I feel like this totally tracks. I mean, it seems like a lot, but they all do it. They all like Sometimes they do group ones. Sometimes they do solo ones. And they just, a lot of it is homemade, but um which I do appreciate. But it is like, I have three parties to go to. I've got two of my costumes. I don't know what my third one is. I'm like, okay. So what have there have there been like ones that you thought were more fun than others? Costumes that they picked? Any ideas to get people? Yeah.
Speaker: One child did a homemade alien costume and like got spray paint and spray painted shirts. And then they did like foil hats and like, you know, came up with some crazy ideas find themselves aliens. I love Halloween. Like when my college child was home last week, he and his girlfriend went to the pumpkin patch and picked out pumpkins and they did carve the pumpkins, which I loved because I yeah really do enjoy carving the pumpkins.
Speaker: Yeah. I think I do have one tip that I guess I never thought of when you're carving pumpkins. I always used to use like the permanent marker to like draw the face or whatever. Yeah.
Speaker: But if you use a dry erase marker, it just comes off. It comes right off. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Like it's no problem. So that's a tip that... That's a good idea....he a no-brainer, but for some reason I didn't think of it. And I'm like using alcohol to like get it Yeah, turn and clean it off. Another tip too that I found on Instagram, which I, you know, love. I do a deep dive into it. So, and I actually videoed myself doing this and I haven't posted it yet. So I will put it up there. But they say if you take cookie cutters and like hammer it through the pumpkin, it makes designs. That's a really cool idea. I'm like, I'm going to try it. so Yeah. um
Speaker: I did try it and I'm going to throw it up on Instagram. Check it out. But it has to be so much easier than like taking a cutout, paper cutout and like yeah like tracing it or whatever. Yeah. That's it. Like brilliant.
Speaker: Yeah. I mean, I thought I had some success, but I did like, I mean, you have to be careful. You're hammering. I used a hammer. I feel like that was useful. Probably not the right tool. Not the right tool. Like i might use like For you. would use like a meat... What's a... Mallet? me yeah like the writerer Yeah, like a Yeah, like a mallet. Sounds like... Probably safer.
Speaker: I know, honest to God, you guys, I do worry about what... I can't even form sentences now. Like what's going to happen in 10 years? Yeah. You're fine. You're fine. um Okay. So the last little tip is, or thing that I found is, you know, we are losing daylight savings time this weekend. So around Halloween, we always lose daylight savings time, which I hate it too. So we fall back.
Speaker: And there was the Washington Post reported there is 27% increase crime, right? after daylight savings time ends between the during and just after sunset so the crime rate increases so People do more criminal activity, like when they get an extra hour of darkness, crime increases. So, yeah I mean, it's kind of scary to think about. That's like a lot. But anyway, be careful out there. All right. Well, that leads us into our next topic, fear and fun, Halloween. Let's jump in. Ooh. Ooh.
Speaker: Oh, so I mean, fear is such a like, ah like, it's such a night, normal companion to Halloween. you know, people love to be scared, and they love to like, have that uncertainty, like think, think it's so fun. um And so we were just kind of thinking about like,
Speaker: fear itself and um phobias. You know, there is a real phobia about, what's it called? I got to think about this. Let me find it. There is a fear of Halloween and it's called, what is it called? Why can't I find out? It's called Samhanophobia. So it's when someone has extreme fear or anxiety at the thought of Halloween, including parties and symbols.
Speaker: Yeah. Interesting. I mean, I don't know. I think Halloween fun. i think Halloween is so fun to me, but I get like it does scare some people.
Speaker: i was actually, had read an article the other day and it caught my attention because it was about Clemson and my son goes to Clemson and I was like, oh, what is this saying about Halloween? But it was a psychologist, a professor at Clemson and she was saying that You know, people do like to be scared, but they like it to be measured.
Speaker: Yeah, that makes sense. if they know it's going to be kind of funny or they know it's safe, then they're like all about it, right?
Speaker: So that makes complete sense to me, yeah. ah Like people that have lots of anxiety don't yeah care for it at all. because So I don't love it.
Speaker: Like I love it like that. I've had little kids. extremely anxious, Nancy? Well, I will say i don't really talk about this a lot, but this is what I will say about it. Like I like Halloween like more that I've had kids and I like the little ones like dressed up and trick or treating. But what I don't like is when I'm in a place that I'm not familiar with and there's lots of adults or people I don't know. And their their faces are covered. And I think it comes like from, I'm afraid I'm going to be like taken. Like people, I don't like to be surprised. Like, and I think like you're going to get kidnapped.
Speaker: Yeah. Like, so this is, I don't think I've ever really talked to you guys about this. I've mentioned it to Tim, but probably not. I kind of keep this to myself. But like, I hate to take Ubers and taxis by myself. Oh, I, I get very anxious. Like I'm getting in a car with a stranger. I don't know.
Speaker: i like, I become a detective and I do this like deep dive on my phone of like tracking where we're going and making sure he's not taking the wrong turn. Like I've really become a little bit of a nut. And so I think you have like an exit plan when you're back there and you're like, okay, okay. I mean, I know I really say turn I'm hopping out. Listen, I know I sound kind of a little nuts, but I think that people have surprised me when I didn't expect it. So I think a real fear of mine is is someone locked you in a car and not let you out. Being surprised by like a stranger. And like, it seems pretty easy that a stranger I don't know getting in their car could just, you know, take me anywhere they want to go. yeah.
Speaker: I'm a little, I'm a little, like, it doesn't stop me from getting into an Uber, but there you have it. I just thrown out my crazy. I think that is a very natural, I mean, it is sort of natural to have that, like, fear, you know? It's an emotional reaction to whatever you're experiencing. I think when it turns into, it prevents you from living your life, then we have a phobia. Correct. I was reading this article about, like, if you have little kids and they're scared of Halloween, you What you want to do is sort of work with them so it doesn't become a phobia. and
Speaker: And the way you do that is you start talking about it early. You start making sure they understand it's not real. It's fake. It's supposed to be fun. If they don't want to dress up, they don't have to. you know, making sure they understand where they're going, if they're trick-or-treating, if they want to just observe things. And then gradually, you know, keep introducing these elements to help them manage their anxiety, their fears yeah that are associated with it. Yeah, think that's good advice. It's supposed be fun. And if it's not le vo be fun, then it's not. Then don't worry about it. I mean, Nancy.
Speaker: So, Kathy, do you have a fear? Like, Nancy is scared she's going to get kidnapped? Well, I had no idea Nancy could get in an Uber. Yeah. and I know. i know. I haven't really. I've kind of kept that one close to the vest. Yeah, you have. Thanks for sharing. i mean. Yeah.
Speaker: Well, I absolutely love Halloween. I think it gets a little gory. There's some, like we were in a neighborhood the other day and I was like, that actually is scary. Like why did they decorate it like that? Do you have like fears outside of Halloween? Like, does it make you think of like, do you have any fears? Like Halloween, I jumped from being taken to like my big fear. Like, does it make you think of any fears that you have? but Well, I mean, you did bring this up the other day to me and I was thinking about it because you said you didn't think I like to scuba dive.
Speaker: And I love, the I absolutely love the water. Right. And I like to snorkel. But I was thinking about it. I think you are right. I think scuba diving. Did you hear that? Did anybody else catch that? that Do you hear what you said? i said you're right. I'm right.
Speaker: There's something about going under the water, which is OK to me. But I think I was thinking about it. And I think it's. the sharks. Like I'm worried that I'm going to get like maybe attacked by something.
Speaker: And so I love that you've come to this conclusion because I knew this about you. um because the last time we went scuba diving, which was a long time ago, i was so excited and you and I were paired up and I just wanted to get down there. i just want to get down there. And I kept looking, but I was supposed to stay with my buddy And my buddy was nearby me. She was always like, up, up, up. And i'm like, we're supposed to go down. We're supposed to go down. And then when we finished, I was like, what is your deal You wanted to be close to the surface. We're supposed to be like down. You're like, Nancy, there are sharks. And I'm like... I think maybe I'm looking like in my brain, if I'm closer to the surface, I can like get out of the water or something. I don't know. I mean, either way, if a shark comes, I'm done, but.
Speaker: Well, not necessarily, really but yeah, I get it. You know, I have a weird thing about drowning. Like i have like a little like anxiety about like, and it's crazy because I love the water also. it doesn't stop me from swimming. I'm going on a beach vacation in a couple of weeks. Like I love it, but I also have this like fear of drowning and I watch a lot of action movies and the hero is always like killing the bad guy by like pushing him under the water of some sort. And I have to turn it off. Like I have to look away. I can't handle it. Like the arm flailing and legs flailing and the like,
Speaker: Yeah, I don't think it'd be a good way to go. don't like it at all. No, it's terrible. Well, I think that, mean, mom used to always say to us, like, and she still does whenever she hears of a drowning, she's like, that is a terrible way to go. Yeah. I mean, I'm not just like, I was like, okay, well. Well, I'm not blaming mom, but I do have a, like, that is a fear of mine. Like, I do not, that's not the way I want to go. I'm not blaming mom. I'm just saying she always agrees with you that that's not a good way to go. it's not good. I mean, girls, did you hear about that teacher and student in Coralville, Iowa? Yes. So Coralville is just outside Iowa City, and we all went to college in Iowa City, and this just happened.
Speaker: And I just read about it, and i was like, oh. She had these kids on a field trip, and one of the kids fell into the Coralville Reservoir, and the water was very fast moving. And she yelled at all the kids, like, call 911. She jumped in after this child, and she and the child both drowned.
Speaker: yeah no so I was like, that is my biggest nightmare right there. like That's horrible. yeah So prayers for them. Well, they're hiking. well they're hiking They were hiking, you know, i' like stay away from the water. you oh Oh, you said for Linda, should we wearing a life jacket? She never wore a life jacket, even when we young. Remember, she's like, I'm not wearing this. I'm a good swimmer. Maybe you need to have it near. but Maybe like a, maybe one of the, um, the rest of lifesavers.
Speaker: okay
Speaker: Oh, wait, but do they have one those that blow up? That would be like, did do you know what that you know what they have like on the fishing boat when we have the ones where you fall in and they ignite, you know? Yes. Like, I wonder if they make those that you can like...
Speaker: yeah but like Yes, they they activate. And like I wonder if they couldn't they make those to like put on a swimsuit, like clip on somewhere so if you get in trouble, it can inflate. We should invent this.
Speaker: I mean, I think I just had a brilliant idea, like a flugel binder you know from you know um Cocktail. He's always like, I need a flugel binder. Yeah. Whatever your fears are, you know, try and keep them in check. Don't let them paralyze you in your life. We can do this.
Speaker: We're going to get through it. All all right. Before I move... Oh, I know what else I wanted to mention. You know who like else has like a crazy fear is some of our kids with spiders.
Speaker: And I never realized it until we were on vacation together. and they... do not like spiders. Like they won't even crush it with their foot. I have one of those children. have a couple people in my family that don't like spiders. I think because they move so fast. Is that what it is? don't know where it comes from.
Speaker: They don't bug me either. like honey I think that my husband doesn't like spiders either because there was a spider in our house the other day and I said, just step on it. He's like, he gave me the double take. Like, are you serious? And I was like, you want me to have spider guts on my shoe?
Speaker: love little spiders all over. Spider guts everywhere. Yeah, I know. Spiders are quick moving and snakes, I think, also is another big one. People don't like snakes because they kind of move fast and they surprise you, I think is what it is. I think also with snakes because, and maybe it's the same with spiders, like some won't hurt you and they don't want have anything to do with you, but some are poisonous. And I'm not, then i I'm not knowledgeable.
Speaker: What? They're not poisonous. They're venomous. right Venomous. Yes. Venomous. nice venomous um And I think I don't know the species well enough and the different ones to know what ones are safe and what are not. Like your daughter, Sarah, loves to pick up garden snakes. And she thinks it's the best thing ever. And I'm like, please get that out of my face.
Speaker: Yeah, she loves them. yeah She's not rattled at all. And we have a lot of venomous snakes in Tennessee. And she and I will go hiking and she'll she spies them all the time. You know, she spots them. and You know...
Speaker: Like we, like even in our family, we have people who are like afraid of snakes and we couldn't even have rubber snakes growing up. do you remember that? Because they would send them into a tizzy. Like, oh yeah so fears are, fears are real.
Speaker: this as you said, and hopefully, you know, none of them rattle you too much where it affects your life too much, but, um, it's understandable. Some things can be scary in our, you know?
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. um Well, listen, if you celebrate Halloween, we hope that you guys have a really fun time. be safe out there. okay I want to tell you guys one other quick little fun Halloween thing and then we'll wrap it up. um So according to candy store dot com, California's favorite Halloween candy is Reese's peanut butter cups. oh And Kathy, in Pennsylvania, it's M&M's and Hershey's mini bars. yeah And then in Tennessee, it's Tootsie Pops, which is a weird thing to me. Tootsie like popsicles? Lollipops. Yeah. Tootsie pops. Yeah. Like how many licks does it take to get to the middle? That's right. like Like that one? Just across the country, favorite candies are Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, M&M's, Snickers, and Sour Patch Kids. My kids love Sour Patch Kids. My kids love the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
Speaker: Well, yes I mean, you're in step with the rest of California and the rest of the country. i mean That is the favorite candy. We're trend we're trending. Who knew? You're on trend. I like it. Well, everybody out there, have a great and safe Halloween. We hope you have all your favorite candies. Get dressed up if you want to and have a big old time. um Happy Halloween, everyone. Okay. What's for dinner?
Speaker: Okay, what's for dinner is jack-o'-lantern stuffed peppers. Jack-o'-lantern peppers? Yes. What is that? go You get bell sweet bell peppers.
Speaker: I usually get the orange ones because they kind of look like a pumpkin. Yeah. And you cut the top off like you would a pumpkin. and then you scoop it out the best you can, leaving the leaving the pepper Okay. um You want to treat it like a pumpkin and then you want to carve it, like make a little face in the front and then you're going to put them aside.
Speaker: And then um it's basically just like any ground meat you want. I like to use ground turkey. I use some onion, some tomato paste, um, cumin, a little chili powder. and I'm just making like a yummy, almost like a taco mead ish.
Speaker: Um, and you put it, you put the meat all together and then you get your cut peppers and you lay them in a pan filled with a little bit of water.
Speaker: And you fill your peppers now slash jack-o'-lanterns with the meats. And then you bake them in the oven for like 30 minutes until it's soft and happy. Okay. And they come out and they're just like cute. They have like, it looks like a little, like a little jack-o'-lantern. But the face is probably like squished in or whatever because it's been baked. Yeah. And you really, and honestly, yeah honestly, the pepper, if you are not pepper eaters, you don't have to eat it. You can just use it like a vessel. It's just like a clever way to kind of have fun on Halloween. Try to get a little protein in your little goblins before they go out trick-or-treating.
Speaker: And goblin just a little fun. So if you love, if you, if goblins, golin isn't that right? Goblins? Did say wrong? no Yeah, goblins, right? yeah um To get a little food in them before they get like ah sugared up.
Speaker: And if they like the peppers, they can eat the whole thing. If they don't want it, they don't have think add like shredded cheese to it. And you could. Maybe even some like cooked rice and just really make it Yeah. I think it sounds good.
Speaker: I think it sounds good too. I think there are no rules. mean, don't normally make stuffed peppers, but I like this idea and it's cute. Yeah. So Riley would not eat the pepper, but Johanna would. So it, it but he will eat everything else in it. Yeah. I like it. So yeah, think we should all do it. Um, so I will post we' post this of course on the, on our website. um And if you want to give it a try. All right. I like it.
Speaker: Okay. So Kathy loves a good jingle, as you all know. Well, we actually all do You know that this is like the Three Little Fishes tradition. And Kathy actually made one up for Halloween. Kathy, what inspired this title, this jingle? Well, I was thinking about Halloween and it's about our cabin up in Canada. And I've always thought that...
Speaker: Are there strangers or ghosts that stay behind when we leave? I've always felt that, like, is there somebody here when we're not?
Speaker: So that's kind of what inspired me. You believe in spirits? Maybe. All right. So let's give it it let's give it a go. The floorboards never creak when he steps inside, and the lake leaves... No damp footprints where the ghost on Lake of the Woods walks.
Speaker: When the autumn leaves turn and the shutters close, he claims the quiet cabin while the timber talks. He walks across the rug, but he doesn't leave a track and sleeps.
Speaker: stranger the summers that you ashore... he casts his line in secret from the shadows of your boathouse he reels the walleye in beneath the silver of the moon a stranger to the summers that you spend ashore He only knows the stillness of the winter months. When the frost begins to settle on the wood floor, yet he is not entirely in the dark alone, for someone watches from the edge of a tree and stone.
Speaker: A massive silent phantom from the deeper woods, a black bear, sits beside him on the mossy pier. They share the quiet hours of the frozen lake, two spirits of the north woods who have nothing to fear.
Speaker: The bear will watch the phantom pull the shadow fish and follow him back up to guard the cabin door until the spring returns to break the shelf of ice and sends them both to wander in the woods once more. Ooh.
Speaker: Well, we hope you liked our poem. um We want to thank you for listening to our podcast and letting us sisters jump into your day. Please make sure to hit the follow button and rate and review us. um We hope you all have a wonderful Halloween.
Speaker: Be safe out there. Sisters.
