Introduction and Podcast Context

00:00:00
Speaker
Hey, solopreneurs.
00:00:01
Speaker
This week for the podcast, we are going to re-listen to one of my favorite interviews, Christian Maroney, the same day ninja.
00:00:08
Speaker
I'm currently in Sardinia, Italy.
00:00:11
Speaker
You can probably hear the waves crashing in the background.
00:00:14
Speaker
So I'm going to be recording some exciting content.
00:00:17
Speaker
But in the meantime, we're going to re-listen to one of my favorite podcasts.
00:00:21
Speaker
So I hope you enjoy.
00:00:25
Speaker
Welcome to the Solarpreneur Podcast where we teach you to take your solar business to the next level.
00:00:30
Speaker
My name is Taylor Armstrong and I went from $50 in my bank account and struggling for groceries to closing 150 deals in a year and cracking the code on why sales reps fell.
00:00:41
Speaker
I teach you how to avoid the mistakes I made and bring in the top solar dogs of the industry to let you in on the secrets of generating more leads, falling up like a pro and closing more deals.
00:00:53
Speaker
What is a solopreneur, you might ask?
00:00:55
Speaker
A solopreneur is a new breed of solopro that is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve mastery, and you are about to become one.
00:01:04
Speaker
Okay, what's up, solopreneurs?

Christian Moroni's Influence and Audience Engagement

00:01:06
Speaker
We have a very special guest on the podcast today.
00:01:09
Speaker
Any special?
00:01:09
Speaker
Because this is actually his second time coming on the podcast, which not too many people can say.
00:01:15
Speaker
So welcome for the second time, Mr. Christian Moroni.
00:01:19
Speaker
Thanks for coming on the podcast with us again, my man.
00:01:22
Speaker
Thank you, brother.
00:01:23
Speaker
It's always a pleasure.
00:01:26
Speaker
I know.
00:01:27
Speaker
I'm stoked because we were just talking before this.
00:01:30
Speaker
You are looks like you're a number three most downloaded episode.
00:01:34
Speaker
So I want to say congratulations for that and appreciate you sharing the podcast and, you know, all your followers that have listened to it.
00:01:42
Speaker
I mean, you just had someone take what 12 pages of notes on your last podcast.
00:01:46
Speaker
It's funny.
00:01:47
Speaker
It was last night.
00:01:48
Speaker
I got this guy.
00:01:49
Speaker
It was literally like, I would say probably like 11.40 p.m.
00:01:53
Speaker
I got a message on the phone saying, hey, I have a few notes.
00:01:56
Speaker
And he started sharing.
00:01:57
Speaker
It was like 11 or 12 pages of notes from the first episode.
00:02:01
Speaker
Yeah, I was mind blown.
00:02:04
Speaker
I was just, I didn't see that coming.
00:02:06
Speaker
He literally like took notes.
00:02:09
Speaker
I would say pretty much transcript word by word.
00:02:12
Speaker
Yes.
00:02:13
Speaker
That's dedication.
00:02:14
Speaker
Well,

Challenges in the Solar Industry

00:02:15
Speaker
yeah, if you have.
00:02:15
Speaker
So for those that are listening, if you have not heard his first podcast, you definitely want to go listen to it because it has straight fire in it.
00:02:23
Speaker
I just re-listened to it this morning while I was on a little jog.
00:02:26
Speaker
And yeah, it was incredible.
00:02:29
Speaker
All the tips you share and just freaking nuggets.
00:02:32
Speaker
So go listen to that.
00:02:34
Speaker
But today we're going to switch it up, get in some new stuff.
00:02:37
Speaker
And yeah, I mean, first off, we just want to hear kind of like what's up, maybe for those that haven't been following you as much.
00:02:45
Speaker
It's been about a year since we did the last podcast, Christian.
00:02:48
Speaker
So yeah, what's new, my man?
00:02:49
Speaker
What's any changes in the past year?
00:02:53
Speaker
Let's give us the highlights.
00:02:54
Speaker
Yeah, a lot has changed.
00:02:56
Speaker
I'm so grateful.
00:02:58
Speaker
Like today...
00:02:59
Speaker
I want to do a little different, Taylor.
00:03:01
Speaker
Like if you let me, if you allow me, I want to go like super, super raw, like super vulnerable and just kind of share a little bit.
00:03:10
Speaker
So the very first one, I kind of share my story where I came from, how I started into door to door.
00:03:16
Speaker
how I learn how to do the door-to-door game.
00:03:18
Speaker
I share exactly, like the actual name is how to be consistent without working more hours, right?
00:03:25
Speaker
Like just how to get stuff done without having to knock 12 hours a day because it's just too much.
00:03:31
Speaker
Right.
00:03:32
Speaker
Today, I feel like sharing what has changed in the way I see the industry.
00:03:40
Speaker
On the second podcast that I recorded on a different platform, I share how I see the solar industry now, the different types of business model.
00:03:48
Speaker
What's the main thing of being a

Christian's Personal and Professional Growth

00:03:51
Speaker
setter?
00:03:51
Speaker
What's the main thing of being a closer?
00:03:53
Speaker
When people should transition from setting to closing.
00:03:56
Speaker
When people should go, I want to be a dealer.
00:03:58
Speaker
I want to be my own boss.
00:04:00
Speaker
I want to be a lone wolf.
00:04:01
Speaker
I want to open up my own company, that type of stuff.
00:04:04
Speaker
Today, I want to share the hard stuff, like the hardships, the hard shit that people sometimes don't want to talk about, like how to deal.
00:04:14
Speaker
how to do this job mentally.
00:04:17
Speaker
How I do want to touch on recruiting a little bit, talking about like the mental game, switching companies, what to look for in a company, that type of stuff.
00:04:27
Speaker
Yeah, no, love it.
00:04:28
Speaker
And yeah, we, I think we're on similar wave lakes because a lot of that stuff is what I wanted to ask you about too.
00:04:34
Speaker
So can't wait to dive into it.
00:04:36
Speaker
But yeah, I mean, you've been grinding still and it's been crazy to see you just keep, you know, improving.
00:04:42
Speaker
I mean, you hit what was a 30 deals in 30 days.
00:04:45
Speaker
You did.
00:04:47
Speaker
It was a couple months back.
00:04:48
Speaker
Yeah.
00:04:49
Speaker
Yeah.
00:04:50
Speaker
I started with 20 and 20.
00:04:52
Speaker
And I, I, I mean, when I first recorded your podcast, I was only self-genning.
00:04:57
Speaker
I didn't have a team.
00:04:59
Speaker
Like it was just myself in the doors and I was closing like,
00:05:03
Speaker
10, 12, and then 14, 15.
00:05:05
Speaker
It's funny, like 15, 15.
00:05:07
Speaker
And that was kind of like my bottleneck.
00:05:12
Speaker
And then I was just like, okay, 16, and then 17.
00:05:13
Speaker
And then I broke 20.
00:05:14
Speaker
Once I broke 20, it's just like 20, 22, 24, and then 30, and it just keeps going.
00:05:17
Speaker
Yeah.
00:05:22
Speaker
I know it's incredible because like in the last podcast, we were just, yeah, it's funny.
00:05:27
Speaker
We were like celebrating the 15 and all that.
00:05:30
Speaker
And then now just seeing like this past year, you just blown those numbers out of the water.
00:05:34
Speaker
It's like, it just keeps getting better and better.
00:05:37
Speaker
Hey, I would do 60, but I still, I got, I got to get some stuff together in the process.
00:05:43
Speaker
I got to figure out the process and crack the code to do 60, but I believe I can do it.
00:05:49
Speaker
Yeah, it's possible.
00:05:50
Speaker
I'm just not there yet, you know?
00:05:53
Speaker
Yeah, yeah.
00:05:54
Speaker
No, it's possible for sure.
00:05:55
Speaker
So, yeah.
00:05:56
Speaker
Yeah.
00:05:58
Speaker
I mean, I think we'll come back in a year and you'll probably hit 60, so.
00:06:02
Speaker
Yeah, right.
00:06:05
Speaker
I mean, the right way, no undersizing with ethics and all that, like selling the right way, okay?
00:06:12
Speaker
Exactly.
00:06:13
Speaker
Putting families in a better position.
00:06:16
Speaker
Yeah, for sure.
00:06:17
Speaker
That's the idea.
00:06:19
Speaker
Yeah.
00:06:19
Speaker
And then the other thing, like, yeah, it's just so crazy.
00:06:22
Speaker
The past year, I remember, too, we were talking like how you had, I don't know, I think it was like 400 followers on Instagram or something and just kind of doing your thing.
00:06:31
Speaker
And now, like, I think it's safe to say you're you're definitely one of like the top people that guys respect and follow in solar.
00:06:38
Speaker
I mean, I mean, I remember I had like double your followers for a while.
00:06:42
Speaker
Now you got double my followers.
00:06:44
Speaker
So, man, everyone knows Christian now.
00:06:47
Speaker
Yeah.
00:06:48
Speaker
So people follow you.
00:06:50
Speaker
I think everyone thinks of you as kind of like one of the authorities for sure in solar, which is really cool to see that.
00:06:57
Speaker
You know, everyone knows the name Christian now in solar.
00:07:01
Speaker
But yeah, so besides that, I mean, I know you've switched.
00:07:05
Speaker
You're at a different company now from the last podcast we did.
00:07:09
Speaker
um so yeah do you want to maybe tell us a little bit about that journey we can get into a little bit of that and maybe just like because i know there's reps where maybe they're not in the best situation but they're afraid to switch companies or they don't know when when the right time to maybe look for a better opportunity so do you want to just maybe share how your experience was with that and um you know maybe some advice for guys looking to possibly switch or getting a better opportunities
00:07:35
Speaker
Yeah.
00:07:36
Speaker
Well, let's do it.
00:07:37
Speaker
I'm going to recruit everybody.
00:07:39
Speaker
No, just kidding.
00:07:41
Speaker
Just kidding.
00:07:41
Speaker
Just kidding.
00:07:43
Speaker
The, I, I,
00:07:45
Speaker
I really want to share exactly how it went for me because I did work for five different companies and working for like the big, big companies and for the small companies, you can actually get to see the difference on the business model and how they do stuff.
00:08:01
Speaker
So I switched from a small company back in San Diego to a bigger company because of the brand and all of that stuff.
00:08:10
Speaker
Mm-hmm.
00:08:11
Speaker
And I realized that sometimes I was looking for a better pay and the better red line.
00:08:18
Speaker
And sometimes that's not going to translate because even though I was working for a bigger company, I was not surrounded by people that are high achievers.
00:08:30
Speaker
And so I get messages on the daily of people asking like, dude,
00:08:36
Speaker
I've been doing six, eight a month or four a month or 10 a month.
00:08:40
Speaker
Like, how do I get to the next level?
00:08:43
Speaker
And then I always ask, what is next level for you?
00:08:46
Speaker
What does the next level look like?
00:08:49
Speaker
And most of the people, they say, well, for me, it's X. So let's say the guy selling six, seven, eight deals and next levels break two digits, 12, 14, 15 a month.
00:09:00
Speaker
And my number one question is, okay, if you do want to do 15, I want to ask you how many people in your office are doing 15 every month?
00:09:12
Speaker
And I would say 10 out of 10, they say zero.
00:09:16
Speaker
Right.
00:09:17
Speaker
Yeah.
00:09:17
Speaker
So it's pretty tough, Taylor.
00:09:19
Speaker
It just, and that's the reality.
00:09:21
Speaker
A lot of times I see people like last podcast was about consistency.
00:09:26
Speaker
And that's my, like, that's my favorite word.
00:09:29
Speaker
Yeah.
00:09:30
Speaker
Everybody can have a good day.
00:09:33
Speaker
Like some people they're bragging about like, yeah, I had a good day.
00:09:37
Speaker
Like everybody can have a good chat.
00:09:39
Speaker
But it's not about that one check.
00:09:42
Speaker
Because money, like, I see so many people in the industry, they just blow money like that.
00:09:48
Speaker
So that big check doesn't mean anything if you're just chilling and going taking vacations for the next three, four, five weeks.
00:09:57
Speaker
Like, if you sell four solar deals on a day,
00:10:01
Speaker
When the clock hits midnight, you're at zero again.
00:10:06
Speaker
Yeah.
00:10:07
Speaker
Good point.
00:10:09
Speaker
Oh yeah.
00:10:09
Speaker
And it's interesting because I think your first, last time we did the podcast, you were, I think the number one rep at your, at that company, right?
00:10:17
Speaker
Yep.
00:10:19
Speaker
And then now your current company, Pure, you're what?
00:10:22
Speaker
I think there's at least a couple guys being you, right?
00:10:25
Speaker
Yep.
00:10:26
Speaker
I mean, I'm trying, but if you do 30, it's not enough.
00:10:31
Speaker
If you do 40, it might not be enough.
00:10:34
Speaker
It's tough.
00:10:34
Speaker
I mean, yes.
00:10:35
Speaker
But Taylor, I mean...
00:10:41
Speaker
I already passed that point of just being number one.
00:10:44
Speaker
It's more about like being better than I was the day before.
00:10:50
Speaker
And that's the same mentality that I shared last time.
00:10:53
Speaker
Like, it's always good.
00:10:55
Speaker
Yeah, I want to be number one.
00:10:57
Speaker
It's awesome to be number one.
00:10:58
Speaker
But I see like, I think about the impact of,
00:11:03
Speaker
The impact comes first.
00:11:05
Speaker
Like it's not to be number one for the bragging rights.
00:11:08
Speaker
It's just like, dude, if you did five, okay, do six and then do seven and then do eight.
00:11:14
Speaker
Like, as long as you're getting better.
00:11:17
Speaker
And that's why I want to talk about the struggle.
00:11:19
Speaker
Because sometimes it's like, it doesn't make sense for us talking about 40 deals a month when there's people selling two or three.
00:11:27
Speaker
Like these people, they need help.
00:11:29
Speaker
And sometimes help is just that they don't know what to do or the current structure is not providing an environment.
00:11:41
Speaker
Like on my Instagram, there's a video where I say, if a flower doesn't bloom, do we blame the flower?
00:11:47
Speaker
Hey, stupid flower, you should be growing.
00:11:49
Speaker
Yeah, definitely.
00:11:52
Speaker
It's all about the environment.
00:11:54
Speaker
With the right food and nutrition, we know that that flower will bloom.
00:11:59
Speaker
Right.
00:11:59
Speaker
No, that's a good point.
00:12:01
Speaker
Um, so yeah, I mean, you've been in like both sides of the coin, like you've been the top rep at your companies, but, um, now there's people better than you.
00:12:10
Speaker
So I don't know for, for guys that like hit you up and ask about that.
00:12:14
Speaker
What's been like, is there one that's better in your experience?
00:12:16
Speaker
You think it's better to be like a big fish in a small pond?
00:12:20
Speaker
or be with bigger companies with higher producing reps?
00:12:26
Speaker
What do you tell people typically when they ask that?
00:12:28
Speaker
Because there are those pros and cons to both and maybe not necessarily a right answer, but what would you say to that question?
00:12:35
Speaker
I agree.
00:12:35
Speaker
And I don't want to be biased.
00:12:37
Speaker
I don't want to lean people towards what I want people to believe.
00:12:41
Speaker
I just want to share what I see.
00:12:44
Speaker
Like when I was doing pass control, I did for a small company and I was number one.
00:12:48
Speaker
So like for so long in my life, like for seven years, I ran my own business in Brazil and it was my own company.
00:12:56
Speaker
And I had to be the top performer because I had so many employees and I had to be an example.
00:13:00
Speaker
So like I was just sick of being number one because it's just human nature.
00:13:06
Speaker
We get a car and now we get a Tesla and now, oh, Tesla already sucks.
00:13:11
Speaker
If you ask me, yeah, I'm grateful for the Tesla.
00:13:14
Speaker
But now I see all the like, oh, Tesla is not even that great.
00:13:17
Speaker
OK, what's next?
00:13:18
Speaker
What's next?
00:13:19
Speaker
And like, it's just natural.
00:13:21
Speaker
Like, and then the guy with the Lamborghini is like, oh, but I don't have a jet.
00:13:26
Speaker
And then the guy with the jet is like, I don't I don't have a yacht.
00:13:29
Speaker
Yeah.
00:13:29
Speaker
Yeah.
00:13:30
Speaker
So

Navigating Company Transitions

00:13:31
Speaker
like there's always the next level.
00:13:34
Speaker
That's why it is important to just, you know, think of now, like think of like where am I going now?
00:13:40
Speaker
So I was kind of sick of being like the big fish in a small pond because I just realized when you think of pass control, the bass reps, again, I'm not making any merchandise because I never worked for grits, but like all of the high producers were there and the highest average per rep came from there.
00:14:01
Speaker
And I just am a firm believer that proximity is power.
00:14:06
Speaker
It's tough for the guy that messaged me on Instagram selling two or three or four or five a month saying, dude, I want to get to 20 deals when no one in his environment is doing that on a consistent basis.
00:14:20
Speaker
Yeah.
00:14:22
Speaker
Who's going to teach him how to get there?
00:14:25
Speaker
I know.
00:14:26
Speaker
Well, it's funny because I actually have a guy coming down.
00:14:29
Speaker
Um,
00:14:30
Speaker
I mean, I can't say his name because he's still with his other company, but he's coming down from L.A.
00:14:35
Speaker
to sell with us.
00:14:37
Speaker
And his company in L.A., they're doing like the top guy.
00:14:41
Speaker
It's kind of that same situation.
00:14:42
Speaker
The top guy is doing maybe 10 a month or something.
00:14:45
Speaker
So he's coming down here with us just to kind of work and be surrounded in that environment.
00:14:50
Speaker
And then he's kind of doing half and half, going back to his other company to still get that.
00:14:55
Speaker
So I'm trying to just be like, all right, dude, just come join us if you want to do that.
00:15:00
Speaker
But he's like, no, I want to take back.
00:15:04
Speaker
I don't know who the guy is, but if he listens to this, do it.
00:15:07
Speaker
Taylor, if I...
00:15:09
Speaker
If I, you know, if I were in a position of building this thing in Texas, I would love to work with you.
00:15:16
Speaker
I have a mad respect for you.
00:15:17
Speaker
It's just that I now I'm in Texas.
00:15:20
Speaker
That's my market.
00:15:21
Speaker
But if that wasn't the situation, I would.
00:15:25
Speaker
Yeah.
00:15:26
Speaker
Well, I'm sure we'll cross paths someday.
00:15:28
Speaker
I mean, I might end up in Texas.
00:15:30
Speaker
Who knows?
00:15:31
Speaker
At least do a blitz there.
00:15:34
Speaker
I'm praying for this day.
00:15:35
Speaker
Yeah.
00:15:37
Speaker
But yeah.
00:15:37
Speaker
The other thing I wanted to ask you, Christian, is so you've now left, you know, several companies.
00:15:43
Speaker
And I don't know about you, but I have left a couple of companies myself.
00:15:47
Speaker
And for me, that was one of the hardest, I would say, points in my solar career.
00:15:51
Speaker
I don't know what your experience was like, but for me, I was super close to the owners of my first solar company.
00:15:58
Speaker
And I just wasn't, I felt like that I hit a cap.
00:16:02
Speaker
I wasn't growing anymore and just some other issues like that.
00:16:06
Speaker
So I finally stepped away, but it was super tough because they were all my friends.
00:16:10
Speaker
They're my homies.
00:16:12
Speaker
They didn't want me to leave and they were like kind of guilt tripping me, stuff like that.
00:16:17
Speaker
So it was like one of the hardest things I've ever done having to like tell these guys I'm not going to be back.
00:16:21
Speaker
And I'd worked with them for four years and they're like some of my best friends.
00:16:26
Speaker
So for you, I don't know.
00:16:27
Speaker
Do you have any advice for guys that are maybe trying to leave, step into a better situation?
00:16:32
Speaker
Like, is there a right way to leave a company in?
00:16:36
Speaker
Because I know some people have experiences where maybe they're not getting paid out too, which is terrible.
00:16:41
Speaker
But how did it go in your experience?
00:16:43
Speaker
And do you have any advice with that?
00:16:45
Speaker
Yes, yes.
00:16:47
Speaker
That is tough.
00:16:48
Speaker
So it is super hard.
00:16:50
Speaker
And the reason why I say this is because you think of solid friendships, people that you have a lot of respect, people that are grateful for, and they just turn their back on you.
00:17:01
Speaker
And in the beginning, you, like, I mean, you, whoever is the rep, whoever is listening to this and switch companies, you're going to see your best friends just turn your back on you.
00:17:12
Speaker
And then you're going to see people who's like,
00:17:15
Speaker
Wow.
00:17:15
Speaker
Like I thought we had something, you know, and then and then you're going to think that, oh, am I just a paycheck?
00:17:22
Speaker
Like, am I just a number?
00:17:23
Speaker
Is it just an override thing?
00:17:26
Speaker
I thought that like the relationship was over money, you know.
00:17:30
Speaker
So it will be tough.
00:17:31
Speaker
You will lose friendships.
00:17:33
Speaker
And that's exactly what happened to me every single time.
00:17:36
Speaker
And it's funny.
00:17:37
Speaker
And like even seen on social media, like spicy posts is about that type of stuff, you know, who, you know, who should be in your life and who shouldn't.
00:17:48
Speaker
And in my opinion and perception is just a little selfish because if they, if they were in my situation, they would do the same.
00:17:59
Speaker
No one is going to switch companies on purpose with intention of hurting someone or with intention of doing it wrong.
00:18:09
Speaker
The real reason for me looking into a different path is just that I wanted to do what was best for my family and for my future.
00:18:19
Speaker
And I want to think of that guy that is the boss or the owner of the company.
00:18:24
Speaker
He did work for a company previously.
00:18:27
Speaker
Exactly.
00:18:28
Speaker
And he had to make the same decision.
00:18:31
Speaker
So what I don't understand is just when I look back and I rewind the tape, like if my life was a movie, all of my leaders that got sour because I left, they all had two or three or four companies themselves.
00:18:48
Speaker
Yeah.
00:18:49
Speaker
They all have done the same thing.
00:18:52
Speaker
And now just, that's why I don't get it.
00:18:54
Speaker
Like,
00:18:55
Speaker
I left companies and sometimes I did bring people.
00:18:59
Speaker
Sometimes I did not bring people, which can cause issues.
00:19:02
Speaker
Sometimes if you do bring people, they don't pay you, which is something that did happen to me.
00:19:07
Speaker
Sometimes they still pay you.
00:19:08
Speaker
Sometimes they don't.
00:19:09
Speaker
I don't want to get into details.
00:19:11
Speaker
Everybody has my contact.
00:19:12
Speaker
I can talk to each single one of you guys on a personal basis and share their story.
00:19:18
Speaker
But it's tough.
00:19:19
Speaker
Yes, you might lose money.
00:19:21
Speaker
You probably will.
00:19:23
Speaker
Some people will promise things.
00:19:26
Speaker
One thing that I always say now, everything that you can just put in writing.
00:19:31
Speaker
Because people can say, in the name Taylor, I've seen people saying crazy things in the name of recruiting.
00:19:38
Speaker
That's why I just...
00:19:41
Speaker
I don't like using the word hate.
00:19:44
Speaker
I'm from Brazil, and in Portuguese, hate is such a strong word.
00:19:51
Speaker
It's funny.
00:19:52
Speaker
It's different.
00:19:52
Speaker
People are just like, I hate Mondays.
00:19:54
Speaker
I hate this.
00:19:55
Speaker
I hate people.
00:19:56
Speaker
I hate this.
00:19:58
Speaker
The meaning of the word hate has a little different connotation when you translate from Portuguese.
00:20:05
Speaker
So I'm still super cautious.
00:20:07
Speaker
I don't, I, I try to never use the word hate because for me that has like such a strong meaning.
00:20:15
Speaker
And, and that's why, but I, I don't like talking about recruiting because I seen people just promising so much stuff.
00:20:25
Speaker
Yeah.
00:20:26
Speaker
And like, we just have to be careful, you know, like even the social media space is just, it's tough.
00:20:33
Speaker
Like every day you see who's out there, who is not.
00:20:36
Speaker
So just pay attention.
00:20:37
Speaker
Just like time, time will tell.
00:20:41
Speaker
And that's my number one advice.
00:20:43
Speaker
Like think of yourself first, like your company will define without you.
00:20:49
Speaker
Right.
00:20:51
Speaker
They might be bragging and telling a different story about how they got rid of you or something.
00:20:57
Speaker
Or they might just like, I don't know.
00:20:59
Speaker
Next thing you know, they have someone.
00:21:01
Speaker
Yeah.
00:21:02
Speaker
Like, you're not that irreplaceable.
00:21:05
Speaker
Yeah.
00:21:06
Speaker
I know.
00:21:07
Speaker
That's it.
00:21:08
Speaker
That's it.
00:21:08
Speaker
Yeah.
00:21:09
Speaker
None of us.
00:21:10
Speaker
None of us, Taylor.
00:21:11
Speaker
Yeah.
00:21:12
Speaker
I know even yeah, even a guy like both of us, we're all replaceable.
00:21:16
Speaker
So yeah, I remember that.
00:21:19
Speaker
But yeah, it's crazy.
00:21:19
Speaker
Like, I don't know for company owners.
00:21:21
Speaker
That's a good point, though.
00:21:23
Speaker
It's like if you have guys that leave for better opportunities, I don't think there needs to be that strong word.
00:21:29
Speaker
Hey, like Christian is talking about, like you don't need to hate someone if they leave because.
00:21:35
Speaker
In my case, since I'm so hated now by this company I left, I know I'm never going to go back there.
00:21:41
Speaker
But it's like, for an owner, if you can actually maintain contact, who knows, there might be a time where they come back and want to get in that opportunity again.
00:21:52
Speaker
But if you shun them and don't pay them, then how likely are they to come back?
00:21:57
Speaker
Probably not very likely.
00:21:59
Speaker
And so I think there's something to be said about just, you know, if someone leaves, then yeah, I mean, obviously you're not going to you're going to try to get them to stay, but you don't have to like, you know, take a personal and attack them.
00:22:13
Speaker
Like is the experience I went through, unfortunately.
00:22:16
Speaker
So it's their loss.
00:22:17
Speaker
It's their loss, Taylor.
00:22:18
Speaker
If they lost you, it's their loss, you know?
00:22:21
Speaker
And then again, it's time to move on.
00:22:24
Speaker
I see, I don't get it.
00:22:26
Speaker
Like I see this, I'll say most of your audience, these people are informed, like they're on social media.
00:22:32
Speaker
They know what's going on.
00:22:34
Speaker
And I don't get why people, they have to be picking fights.
00:22:37
Speaker
Like I don't,

Prioritizing Personal Growth in Sales

00:22:39
Speaker
I really don't get it.
00:22:40
Speaker
Why there's so much beef and hate between the solar industry and just like,
00:22:46
Speaker
Like companies are a vehicle and you in the driver's seat, you have to drive the best vehicle that will suit your needs, that will match what you're looking for.
00:23:00
Speaker
Companies are a vehicle and that's how we all should see it.
00:23:04
Speaker
And not like, yeah, we're the best.
00:23:06
Speaker
You guys suck.
00:23:07
Speaker
We do this.
00:23:08
Speaker
You guys don't do that.
00:23:09
Speaker
Like, that's just not how I see it.
00:23:12
Speaker
I feel like we should be more unified.
00:23:15
Speaker
Yeah.
00:23:16
Speaker
But yeah, that's another good question.
00:23:18
Speaker
Like you mentioned, kind of knowing if you're going to get paid, but for those that are maybe looking to step into new opportunities, maybe that's a good question that you could initially ask a company like, Hey, I'm,
00:23:31
Speaker
I want to work with you guys, but if I ever did need to leave for whatever reason, then am I still going to get paid my commissions?
00:23:39
Speaker
And can I have, is that going to be in writing?
00:23:42
Speaker
That's something that I would have asked when I first started working in solar, because I hear from so many reps now, they're like, oh, I left, I didn't get paid thousands of dollars.
00:23:51
Speaker
And it's sad.
00:23:52
Speaker
And maybe that's not going to work every time.
00:23:54
Speaker
But I mean, unfortunately, that's just kind of how it's gone sometimes in the industry.
00:23:59
Speaker
One of the sadder things that's happened.
00:24:02
Speaker
Yeah.
00:24:03
Speaker
There's one thing that I can share, but I cannot just share here in the podcast.
00:24:07
Speaker
But whoever wants to reach out later, there's a few things that you can do to make sure you get paid.
00:24:14
Speaker
Yeah, I just can't disclose in the public space.
00:24:17
Speaker
Okay.
00:24:18
Speaker
He doesn't want the companies coming after him.
00:24:21
Speaker
Right.
00:24:21
Speaker
I like people just know me.
00:24:26
Speaker
But I'm just saying there there's ways.
00:24:29
Speaker
And yeah, I want to make sure everybody gets paid.
00:24:33
Speaker
But yeah.
00:24:34
Speaker
Yeah.
00:24:35
Speaker
And because it's tough because people like I want to switch, but I have a pipeline.
00:24:40
Speaker
And then people start lacking and they produce less.
00:24:43
Speaker
And then they're sacrificing making money because they're not producing.
00:24:47
Speaker
And now just like, well, if I keep producing,
00:24:50
Speaker
My pipeline keeps going up and my money keeps going up.
00:24:54
Speaker
But if I don't produce and then I'm just like, what am I going to do?
00:24:57
Speaker
So it's, it's, it's, it's.
00:25:01
Speaker
Yeah.
00:25:02
Speaker
And the spiral that you get stuck in.
00:25:04
Speaker
So yeah, it sucks to be in that position.
00:25:06
Speaker
And then you're like thinking about so many things you're thinking about, like all the possibilities.
00:25:10
Speaker
So that just gets in your head and you work less and you're less effective.
00:25:15
Speaker
So yeah, that's a terrible state of mind to try and knock doors and close in.
00:25:18
Speaker
Trust me.
00:25:19
Speaker
Yeah.
00:25:21
Speaker
And then you lose momentum, which is like two days ago.
00:25:25
Speaker
I don't know if you saw.
00:25:26
Speaker
I made a post on my stories about that.
00:25:30
Speaker
We had a leadership retreat last week and then I did a knock for a few days.
00:25:34
Speaker
And it was the very first time that I didn't work on a Saturday for a long time.
00:25:40
Speaker
Saturdays are for same day.
00:25:42
Speaker
Saturdays are for solar.
00:25:43
Speaker
That's right.
00:25:45
Speaker
Yeah.
00:25:45
Speaker
Like a few weeks ago, I was doing the Noxar takeover on their page and we got four deals that Saturday.
00:25:52
Speaker
And then one of the things that I mentioned is just that I was able to sell solar for 11 Saturdays in a row.
00:26:00
Speaker
Yeah, I remember that.
00:26:01
Speaker
It's a pro tip.
00:26:02
Speaker
Don't skip Saturdays.
00:26:04
Speaker
Saturdays are amazing for solar.
00:26:06
Speaker
And I felt bad because I didn't work.
00:26:09
Speaker
And then I, like, even yesterday, I had to drag myself to the doors.
00:26:16
Speaker
Like, I did not want to knock.
00:26:18
Speaker
So I called a friend and he's like, dude, I've been thinking of starting solar, yada, yada.
00:26:24
Speaker
He's not in solar.
00:26:26
Speaker
And he lives here in Houston.
00:26:28
Speaker
And I'm just like, dude, let's just hit some doors.
00:26:30
Speaker
And for me, that was the perfect excuse to get out of my comfort zone.
00:26:36
Speaker
So even myself, years of experience, hundreds, I don't know, thousands of doors, hundreds,
00:26:44
Speaker
I still feel like not doing sometimes.
00:26:47
Speaker
Yeah, same.
00:26:49
Speaker
I know.
00:26:49
Speaker
I always get that.
00:26:50
Speaker
I know even Michael O'Donnell gets that knot in his stomach.
00:26:53
Speaker
He talks about it.
00:26:55
Speaker
And yeah, we all do.
00:26:56
Speaker
So definitely true.
00:26:58
Speaker
Well, yeah, I want to kind of segue into some of the sales stuff on a more positive note.
00:27:02
Speaker
Now that we've talked about, you know, maybe some of that more negative stuff.
00:27:06
Speaker
I want to hear about some stuff that can help guys out.
00:27:09
Speaker
You've been building teams now.
00:27:12
Speaker
So I know last time we talked, you were focused just very heavy on your personal sales, on getting those numbers up.
00:27:19
Speaker
You're doing a lot of volume yourself.
00:27:21
Speaker
But you weren't managing a team at the time, right?
00:27:25
Speaker
00:27:26
Speaker
Yep.
00:27:26
Speaker
Yep.
00:27:27
Speaker
Okay.
00:27:28
Speaker
So now you're... How many guys you got on your team down there in Houston?
00:27:31
Speaker
Yeah.
00:27:32
Speaker
So, I mean...
00:27:35
Speaker
There's every single team.
00:27:36
Speaker
There's people that produce and people that are not that productive.
00:27:41
Speaker
And the reason why I have to share that is just because the only way for you to know someone's going to produce is just giving them the opportunity.
00:27:48
Speaker
Yeah.
00:27:49
Speaker
And I have people that are just like,
00:27:52
Speaker
you know what, let's see how this guy would do.
00:27:54
Speaker
And I didn't have a whole lot of expectations and they just crush it.
00:28:01
Speaker
And I have people like, oh, I'll be your number one guy.
00:28:04
Speaker
Don't worry, I got you.
00:28:05
Speaker
And they just don't do much.
00:28:06
Speaker
Yeah.
00:28:08
Speaker
It's funny.
00:28:09
Speaker
We keep it like super tight.
00:28:10
Speaker
We don't have a huge team.
00:28:11
Speaker
We have like 14 people.
00:28:13
Speaker
Okay.
00:28:13
Speaker
Yeah.
00:28:14
Speaker
Yeah.
00:28:14
Speaker
We want to keep it like close and tight.
00:28:16
Speaker
That way we can control like a lot better.
00:28:19
Speaker
And we know that there's alignment when it comes to the culture, the vision and the future of the team.
00:28:25
Speaker
Yeah.
00:28:26
Speaker
Because I felt like my first team in solar was like over 40 people.
00:28:31
Speaker
And I didn't get the attention that I feel like I need it at the moment.
00:28:36
Speaker
Yeah, I think that's good.
00:28:39
Speaker
And especially for those starting out with teams, a lot easier to control the culture and, you know, work with guys that aren't wasting your time when you can kind of keep it small and close knit and then just grow, you know, kind of the right way instead of just throwing mud at the wall and seeing what sticks.
00:28:56
Speaker
Sometimes there'd be a lot more time wasted.
00:28:59
Speaker
so i like her in that and yeah i mean you're working with uh brandon now he's been on the podcast so you guys got some studs um throwing up a ton ton of heavy numbers i see you guys you know slinging deals every day
00:29:13
Speaker
So yeah, how's it been?
00:29:15
Speaker
So now you're focused, I know you're still focused a lot on selling yourself, but also now just growing the team.
00:29:22
Speaker
So how have you seen your maybe time or focus change now that you're like also running the team leading that?
00:29:27
Speaker
Yeah.
00:29:29
Speaker
What would you say the difference has been versus kind of a year ago and you're more just focused on your personal numbers and all that?
00:29:35
Speaker
Yeah, so, Taylor, I love this question because I feel so many people, they want to grow a team too soon.
00:29:43
Speaker
Like, they just, like, the over, the override, like, the growing a team, the commissions, whatever, like, that money is not, it's not,
00:29:53
Speaker
That is not the money we should be looking for.
00:29:55
Speaker
Like the only reason why someone should be put themselves in a leadership position, because when the leader, when the teacher is ready, the students will come.
00:30:05
Speaker
Right.
00:30:05
Speaker
That's how like that's how I opened the ninja school.
00:30:08
Speaker
I don't know if you remember a few months back.
00:30:10
Speaker
I opened the ninja school.
00:30:11
Speaker
We got the ninja squad.
00:30:12
Speaker
We have the same day classes, yada, all of that stuff.
00:30:16
Speaker
But I feel like when the teacher is ready, the students will come.
00:30:20
Speaker
And what I'm trying to say is just that just focus on selling.
00:30:25
Speaker
Like I would never, ever, ever try to build a team if you don't even have like six figures in your bank account or investments.
00:30:35
Speaker
I'm not saying you have to have that money just sitting in your bank account.
00:30:39
Speaker
But if you're not like a six figure earner or if you're not having like, if you're not producing at a high level,
00:30:47
Speaker
I just don't feel like you should be running a team because your team would do 50% maybe of what you do right and 110% of what you do wrong.
00:31:02
Speaker
So for the guy that's selling five deals a month, there's a zero per chance, zero percent chance of this guy recruiting the guy that would do 30 a month.
00:31:14
Speaker
Right.
00:31:15
Speaker
And it's just not how it works.
00:31:17
Speaker
Like, it's just the law of the lid, you know?
00:31:21
Speaker
It's just a law of the lids.
00:31:23
Speaker
Just a lot of averages and yada, yada.
00:31:25
Speaker
We are who we surround ourselves with.
00:31:29
Speaker
And that's why I feel like a lot of people, they just try to lead a team too soon or too early.
00:31:35
Speaker
And then they stop selling.
00:31:38
Speaker
And the reason why I'm saying that this is exactly what happened to me, Taylor.
00:31:42
Speaker
When you open an office, you're literally putting thousands and thousands of dollars up front.
00:31:48
Speaker
You're investing in the people.
00:31:49
Speaker
You're investing into Airbnbs.
00:31:52
Speaker
You're helping people with up front money.
00:31:54
Speaker
You're helping people with everything, like moving, like whatever situation so you can have your reps ready to rock and roll.
00:32:02
Speaker
And when you're going to see that money later down the road, like...
00:32:07
Speaker
It's impossible to put a timeline.
00:32:10
Speaker
So if you're not established financially to assume the risk of leading a team, do what Michael Donald says.
00:32:20
Speaker
I feel like you, myself, like Michael Donald, we're aligned in a lot of stuff.
00:32:27
Speaker
The money comes from selling.
00:32:30
Speaker
Stop thinking of anything else.
00:32:33
Speaker
Like you will never, ever receive a message from me trying to recruit you.
00:32:38
Speaker
Like no one, like no one.
00:32:41
Speaker
Why?
00:32:42
Speaker
Because the money is in selling.
00:32:45
Speaker
I will never DM you and say, hey, you know, what's up?
00:32:50
Speaker
I might say, hey, good job on the deal.
00:32:52
Speaker
Buy crypto for me.
00:32:53
Speaker
Yeah.
00:32:55
Speaker
congrats or like i might support you i might be your biggest number one cheerleader or supporter but i'm not gonna say hey do your company suck we did that no so some of you already know that i run my own door-to-door sales team here in san diego and as we are gearing up for the summer i realized if we do the same thing we always did we're going to get the same results
00:33:20
Speaker
but if I want to increase my deal flow, I need to do something different to get an advantage.
00:33:24
Speaker
Then we discovered an app called SolarScout.
00:33:27
Speaker
But it's not a door-knocking app.
00:33:29
Speaker
It's a data platform that shows us who is likely to go solar in our market.
00:33:33
Speaker
It shows us who has previously applied for solar but later canceled the deal, who has moved in recently, and even how much electricity the homes are using in a given neighborhood.

Partnerships and Social Media Strategy

00:33:43
Speaker
It's been working for a lot of teams across the country, and now I'm on board too.
00:33:47
Speaker
I'm going to be one of the first to use SolarScout in San Diego, so I decided to partner up.
00:33:52
Speaker
But I told them, hey, I'm going to talk about SolarScout on my show.
00:33:55
Speaker
You need to give my listeners a great deal, and they did.
00:33:58
Speaker
So go to solarscout.app forward slash Taylor and book a demo with them, and you'll get 10% off your first month when you sign up.
00:34:07
Speaker
That's solarscout.app forward slash Taylor.
00:34:11
Speaker
Okay, back to the show.
00:34:13
Speaker
Well, yeah, and I think that's one of the best ways to recruit organically too is because like, I don't know who are people going to remember if they're ever having issues with their company.
00:34:21
Speaker
They're going to remember the guys who are cheering them on who were there like saying, hey, sweet, you're crushing it, bro, on Instagram and all that.
00:34:29
Speaker
Yeah, so as we were talking about, it's just so many people don't know how to recruit the right way and just, you know, just come across this needy mindset where they're just bugging people on Instagram.
00:34:42
Speaker
And what I really like what you guys have done, Christian, you've just like had people come to you.
00:34:48
Speaker
You turn the tables and you say, hey, we're bringing on more ninjas.
00:34:51
Speaker
Not everyone qualifies.
00:34:53
Speaker
It's almost you're doing like the takeaway to get people in and people love that.
00:34:57
Speaker
And that's why so many guys want to come work with you.
00:35:00
Speaker
So how many do you turn away a lot of people?
00:35:03
Speaker
Like, how do you figure out someone that fit for the team?
00:35:05
Speaker
Have you had to turn down a lot, lots of guys that submit applications and stuff?
00:35:10
Speaker
It's right here.
00:35:12
Speaker
I mean, it's right here.
00:35:14
Speaker
I'm still scrolling.
00:35:15
Speaker
As you can see, I can show it on the screen.
00:35:18
Speaker
So since I opened the Ninja School, I literally have like 80-something people applying.
00:35:24
Speaker
Every single day, I have one or two people asking for the link.
00:35:28
Speaker
And a lot of times I say, no...
00:35:30
Speaker
And it's okay to say no.
00:35:32
Speaker
So yesterday I made a post and it's asked, what do you guys want me to talk about on a podcast?
00:35:37
Speaker
And I had so many people saying, recruiting, recruiting, recruiting strategies, how to recruit ballers, blah, blah, blah, blah.
00:35:43
Speaker
So first, how to recruit ballers?
00:35:46
Speaker
Become a baller.
00:35:47
Speaker
Be a baller.
00:35:49
Speaker
Be a baller.
00:35:50
Speaker
And then you're going to attract ballers.
00:35:51
Speaker
So how to recruit?
00:35:54
Speaker
Just don't.
00:35:55
Speaker
That's it.
00:35:56
Speaker
Don't, don't, don't focus on recruiting.
00:36:00
Speaker
Focus on selling and your production will make you attractive to the marketplace and people will see you day in and day out putting in the work.
00:36:12
Speaker
I see you every day there.
00:36:14
Speaker
So that's why I'm saying like Taylor, like,
00:36:17
Speaker
People, they're just not dumb these days.
00:36:20
Speaker
I mean, some people, they still believe in the advertising.
00:36:23
Speaker
Come do a Blitz, make 100K real quick.
00:36:28
Speaker
It's not like that.
00:36:29
Speaker
It's not like that.
00:36:30
Speaker
Yeah.
00:36:31
Speaker
Well, I think for us too, we can probably both agree on this Christian is just like trying to network with the best.
00:36:37
Speaker
And then also just like posting our wins, you know, on social media, you do a lot more of that than I do, but it's like, I think so many people want to come work with you.
00:36:45
Speaker
They just see you're crushing it on a daily basis.
00:36:48
Speaker
And then also it's just like, if we've been in knockstar together, we network with a lot of high level people.
00:36:55
Speaker
And it's like, if I have someone that's in Houston that wants to work, who do you think I'm going to send him to?
00:37:00
Speaker
Like Christian's going to be my first guy.
00:37:02
Speaker
I actually did send him someone.
00:37:04
Speaker
It didn't work out as good as we'd hoped.
00:37:08
Speaker
But yeah, same thing with you.
00:37:10
Speaker
My San Diego people, I got you.
00:37:13
Speaker
Taylor.
00:37:14
Speaker
Taylor is the man for the job.
00:37:16
Speaker
Thank you.
00:37:17
Speaker
Shout out.
00:37:18
Speaker
But yeah, so no, I think that's been a big thing for us too, is just, you know, be on network and connect with other guys.
00:37:26
Speaker
But yeah, and so you've grown a lot on speaking of social media.
00:37:31
Speaker
Like, have you had a goal?
00:37:32
Speaker
Was it your goal to grow your social media a ton?
00:37:35
Speaker
Or did that just kind of happen?
00:37:36
Speaker
You just kept posting more and more.
00:37:38
Speaker
Do you have any goals with social media?
00:37:40
Speaker
Or is it just, it's been something you kind of like to do?
00:37:43
Speaker
So, yeah, I might be starting a podcast myself where I want to jam on just kind of like storytelling about some stuff and different topics, not even sales related.
00:37:56
Speaker
I feel like the end result of a sale, it's a transfer of energy.
00:38:01
Speaker
But not only that, it's a transfer of trust.
00:38:04
Speaker
Mm-hmm.
00:38:05
Speaker
So there's steps where you can do on a house.
00:38:08
Speaker
For example, a few days ago, I posted about how do I run credit in five minutes?
00:38:13
Speaker
How do I run credit before even walking into appointments sometimes?
00:38:17
Speaker
It's just that there's processes that comes with the storytelling and finding the right hot buttons and doing the takeaways the right way, doing the pullbacks the right way and just planting the seeds.
00:38:32
Speaker
And that's how you can even like maximize time.
00:38:35
Speaker
Because I see people like, oh, I got three deals this week, but two failed credits.
00:38:40
Speaker
So I got one.
00:38:40
Speaker
No, so you got one deal.
00:38:43
Speaker
I mean, yeah, I'm sorry.
00:38:45
Speaker
Like, why would you count?
00:38:46
Speaker
Yes.
00:38:47
Speaker
When they fail credit, you're taking the process as far as you can.
00:38:50
Speaker
But that doesn't mean it's not an account.
00:38:53
Speaker
You know, like that's not a number.
00:38:54
Speaker
So like, don't I mean, I don't know if your company is counting failed credits that that's on them.
00:39:00
Speaker
But I don't think.
00:39:01
Speaker
I don't think no one should be counting that.
00:39:03
Speaker
It's not a deal.
00:39:04
Speaker
It's not a customer.
00:39:05
Speaker
That person is not going solar.
00:39:07
Speaker
They might be going solar later down the road.
00:39:09
Speaker
You can do a credit repair service.
00:39:10
Speaker
Yeah, as I get it, everybody knows about that type of stuff.
00:39:14
Speaker
But that's not something like, it's just creating fake expectations.
00:39:18
Speaker
It's actually getting people to cross the finish line.
00:39:22
Speaker
So that's the goal.
00:39:23
Speaker
I never wanted to grow social media.
00:39:26
Speaker
I promised in the very beginning to be raw and vulnerable and tell the truth.
00:39:32
Speaker
I did get a few people hitting me up saying, hey, you want to buy some followers?
00:39:38
Speaker
And I didn't know that was a bank.
00:39:42
Speaker
And then I realized that there's a bunch of people doing it.
00:39:45
Speaker
Yeah.
00:39:46
Speaker
And it's not that expensive, Taylor.
00:39:48
Speaker
So if you want like 10K followers, 20, 30K.
00:39:52
Speaker
And I realized that's just, I mean, if people are actually paying attention to that, like I look at, I have over a thousand views on my stories.
00:40:07
Speaker
And I remember seeing people with,
00:40:13
Speaker
50, 80, 100,000 followers, and they don't have the same engagement from their audience.
00:40:18
Speaker
So for me, it's just a number.
00:40:21
Speaker
Like, I didn't have social media for four years.
00:40:24
Speaker
That's my story.
00:40:25
Speaker
I did not have social media.
00:40:26
Speaker
I was...
00:40:28
Speaker
You know, I just try to be the happiest guy in the world.
00:40:31
Speaker
People that know me and follow me on a constant basis.
00:40:36
Speaker
They know that every day I say, hey, I said the first episode, I said the same thing.
00:40:42
Speaker
Today is a good day to make it a great day.
00:40:44
Speaker
I talk about my mantras.
00:40:46
Speaker
I talk about the self-talk.
00:40:47
Speaker
I talk about the things that I say to prime my day, to put myself in a better state.
00:40:52
Speaker
But it's just the vision that I have.
00:40:54
Speaker
It's just that today is the best day of my life.
00:40:58
Speaker
like today's the best day of my life yeah well you can see it you're like you're you're one of the most entertaining guys on social media for me because like you're always happy you're always just like jumping around doing dances and you know crazy stuff on there so yeah you keep it real you keep it raw and you keep it entertaining so i think that's how you're going in um you know organic because like you said a lot of people just buying followers and you know not even having people look at their stuff so
00:41:26
Speaker
Never say never.
00:41:28
Speaker
If I ever buy followers, you know what I'm going to do?
00:41:30
Speaker
I'm going to say, guys, I pay for this shit.
00:41:34
Speaker
Okay.
00:41:35
Speaker
I paid.
00:41:35
Speaker
Okay.
00:41:36
Speaker
I have a bunch of followers and I bought it.
00:41:38
Speaker
It's mine.
00:41:39
Speaker
I pay for it.
00:41:43
Speaker
People pay for everything.
00:41:45
Speaker
People pay for surgeries.
00:41:46
Speaker
Now people are paying for surgeries to get taller.
00:41:49
Speaker
It's crazy what people do.
00:41:52
Speaker
When it comes to the beauty aspect and so many things that you can do, you just pay for it and you get it done.
00:42:00
Speaker
Yeah.
00:42:00
Speaker
People are doing the same thing, like likes and pictures, they pay for it, comments on pictures, they pay for it.
00:42:06
Speaker
It's funny how like everything you want can come with money.
00:42:10
Speaker
But the thing is, what for?
00:42:13
Speaker
To show people that don't actually, I mean, people are too focused trying to learn a game and grow themselves and get better.
00:42:21
Speaker
Like, I don't know, like,
00:42:24
Speaker
I just don't get this social media thing.
00:42:26
Speaker
I really don't.
00:42:27
Speaker
Like, yeah, I could care that if I've had 3,000 or 4,000 or 5,000 or 10,000 followers, at the end of the day, like, if I'm living each day the happiest life and I'm making an impact, that's what matters.
00:42:42
Speaker
yeah for sure well we appreciate you keeping it real because yeah i know you're you've been changing lives so love it um and so yeah so last week we had a like this guy i don't know how much money he has like he has like i don't know over 100 million probably he owns it like equity fund yeah he's like he he owns like i don't know 50 100 million i i have no clue it's a it's a lot of money
00:43:09
Speaker
So this guy, I opened his social media.
00:43:12
Speaker
He has like 400 followers.
00:43:13
Speaker
Okay.
00:43:15
Speaker
And that's the thing, you know, sometimes the young kids, they like, oh, they look at someone and that's what everything that they can see.
00:43:22
Speaker
They base their judgment on followers, which is the most shallow thing that you can think of.
00:43:28
Speaker
It's literally a couple thousand bucks and boom, you have a bunch of followers.
00:43:31
Speaker
And now you're a good guy just because of that.
00:43:34
Speaker
No, no, that's not that's not how it works.
00:43:37
Speaker
So I've seen a lot of billionaires and millionaires.
00:43:40
Speaker
They they just don't care for it.
00:43:42
Speaker
yeah i mean it doesn't equal money same thing with this podcast um i mean the more reviews i get it doesn't necessarily mean i'm like a rich man off this it's like same stuff with social media but yeah i think guys that you know put more time into social media than they're putting into like learning cells or trying to get more cells that big mistake because
00:44:05
Speaker
Obviously, I think I know for you, that's the main focus is selling.
00:44:08
Speaker
But what I like what you're doing, you're just documenting the journey, which I think is awesome.
00:44:12
Speaker
Just documenting yourselves and we can all see that that's your focus, building your team, closing your deals.
00:44:18
Speaker
But you're keeping it real.
00:44:19
Speaker
You're putting on camera and you're showing your customers, which is something I'm trying to do.
00:44:23
Speaker
And I learn a lot from guys like you and, you know, some of your videos and testimonials and all that.
00:44:28
Speaker
So thank you.
00:44:30
Speaker
That's awesome.
00:44:31
Speaker
It's accountability.
00:44:32
Speaker
It's all for accountability.
00:44:34
Speaker
That's it.
00:44:35
Speaker
That's the only thing, just accountability.
00:44:37
Speaker
For example, I remember every single time, if I don't knock for a few days, I get someone say, hey, what's up?
00:44:47
Speaker
I'm not joking.
00:44:48
Speaker
I get someone like, hey, what's going on?
00:44:51
Speaker
You retired already or what?
00:44:54
Speaker
And it's funny because I was like, dude, people just pay attention.
00:44:59
Speaker
People see and they know what's going on.
00:45:03
Speaker
So that's why I like the reason why I like the social media environment is just that you guys inspire me so much.
00:45:12
Speaker
You guys like literally...
00:45:14
Speaker
I have people that are just like, hey, I see you out there and I want to knock doors.
00:45:19
Speaker
So I feel like if I'm not out there, some woman is like, hey, what's going on?
00:45:25
Speaker
So it just pushes me.
00:45:27
Speaker
It does bring me accountability because there are times that I don't want to do this job.
00:45:34
Speaker
Yeah.
00:45:35
Speaker
I just it's tough.
00:45:37
Speaker
It's not the most like, yeah, I wish I could be playing soccer right now.
00:45:43
Speaker
Yeah, I wish I could be doing I don't know.
00:45:46
Speaker
It could be just playing music, the violin, the piano, the guitar, doing whatever, chilling with friends, dancing like I'm all about that type of stuff.
00:45:55
Speaker
But this job can be tough.
00:45:58
Speaker
So I want to talk about that because a lot of people, they've been struggling mentally.
00:46:03
Speaker
And I just want to hear from you, Taylor.
00:46:08
Speaker
What are some of the things that you have a lot of experience?
00:46:11
Speaker
I just want to see how do you deal with that type of stuff?
00:46:16
Speaker
Yeah, turning the mic on me.
00:46:17
Speaker
I love it.
00:46:18
Speaker
That's the Taylor Armstrong podcast now.
00:46:23
Speaker
But no, I mean, yeah, I think we both have some experience in this for sure.
00:46:28
Speaker
I mean, I've been in this six years.
00:46:29
Speaker
You've been in this.
00:46:31
Speaker
How many years you've been in solar now?
00:46:33
Speaker
Seven?
00:46:35
Speaker
Yeah, solar like two.
00:46:37
Speaker
Yeah, like going to two.
00:46:39
Speaker
Okay.
00:46:39
Speaker
Okay.
00:46:41
Speaker
Yeah.
00:46:41
Speaker
Well, we've both been door to door for a while.
00:46:44
Speaker
But yeah, I mean, I think you just got to practice that self-care and have your set schedule.
00:46:50
Speaker
And then I learned this from you last time is just like focusing on the people you're talking to.
00:46:56
Speaker
For me, that's been a big key when I am like knocking more heavily myself is just like, forget about the hours.
00:47:02
Speaker
I'm just going to go talk to my 10 people today.
00:47:05
Speaker
Or if I have some appointments, I'm going to talk to six people today, just figuring out that number and then make it more about that.
00:47:12
Speaker
And then, of course, do like the things you look forward to during the week.
00:47:15
Speaker
Do your self-care in the morning, the gym, get up and do your morning routine.
00:47:22
Speaker
So, yeah, you have to have your times recharged.
00:47:23
Speaker
You have to have stuff you're looking forward to.
00:47:26
Speaker
I'm training for a half marathon right now.
00:47:28
Speaker
So I've been that's kind of been my side hobby and training for that and got that next Saturday.
00:47:34
Speaker
So yeah, it's just like having other goals, doing other things.
00:47:37
Speaker
And yeah, obviously, I think for both of us, you close a lot more deals than I do.
00:47:42
Speaker
So I get unfocused at times and don't knock as hard as I need to.
00:47:50
Speaker
But just like focusing on those little things, trying to hit the numbers.
00:47:53
Speaker
I think that's been a big key and a lot of that stuff I learned from you.
00:47:57
Speaker
But yeah.
00:47:58
Speaker
Thank you, dude.
00:47:59
Speaker
Yeah.
00:47:59
Speaker
But I mean, yeah.
00:48:01
Speaker
What about you?
00:48:02
Speaker
Let's hear from you.
00:48:03
Speaker
That's my answer.
00:48:04
Speaker
That's it.
00:48:05
Speaker
Like, I just feel like the job needs to be done.
00:48:10
Speaker
Like, no, no one cares about your feelings straight up.
00:48:13
Speaker
Like, no one cares about my feelings.
00:48:15
Speaker
Oh, I don't feel like knocking.
00:48:16
Speaker
Yes.
00:48:17
Speaker
So I don't pay attention to my feelings because sometimes my feelings are not the best.
00:48:22
Speaker
Like, even myself, even when I get a deal, sometimes I get two deals on a day and I still get home.
00:48:28
Speaker
I was like, crap, I wanted to do three.
00:48:32
Speaker
And I just, for a moment, I forget to be grateful for what I've accomplished.
00:48:38
Speaker
And I try to focus.
00:48:40
Speaker
So if I don't pay attention to my mental and my headspace, my mind will take me to dark places.
00:48:47
Speaker
So one of the things like, yes, I got to talk to 30 people no matter what.
00:48:52
Speaker
It doesn't matter.
00:48:53
Speaker
It doesn't matter if they're rude to me, if they don't like me, if they treat me bad.
00:48:57
Speaker
I have to.
00:48:58
Speaker
It's my job.
00:48:58
Speaker
It's my duty.
00:48:59
Speaker
I got to talk to these people.
00:49:02
Speaker
And then to reset, I said, I talked about that on the first podcast.
00:49:05
Speaker
I just like when I was doing fast control, I just go straight to the next door.
00:49:09
Speaker
Have a segue.
00:49:09
Speaker
If you don't, okay, there's a post about it.
00:49:12
Speaker
Go to my, yeah, just scroll my page.
00:49:14
Speaker
You're going to find it.
00:49:15
Speaker
You can see my post about it, but yeah, there's few things that can help you with that.
00:49:18
Speaker
So yeah,
00:49:19
Speaker
The first is just that no matter what, you know, and the little like the little things that you can do, just like the no matter what I got to talk to this many people.
00:49:27
Speaker
Yeah, it's it's not optional.
00:49:29
Speaker
Like it doesn't matter how if I'm feeling like or not.
00:49:32
Speaker
It's my duty.
00:49:33
Speaker
I got to get it done.
00:49:34
Speaker
Yeah.
00:49:35
Speaker
And then I think another thing too, like Michael Donald talks about this, but just like going and training guys, like the time where I know I will always show up where I can't talk myself out of it is if I told someone to meet me and they're going to like shadow me or me training someone.
00:49:49
Speaker
Yeah.
00:49:50
Speaker
Yeah, I'm like, oh, shoot.
00:49:52
Speaker
I can't like not get out of my car.
00:49:54
Speaker
This guy's literally waiting me.
00:49:55
Speaker
I told him I would train him.
00:49:57
Speaker
And I know that's the big thing for Michael O'Donnell, too.
00:49:59
Speaker
So it's just like, I don't know, get someone to come shout out who you were.
00:50:05
Speaker
I had to do it yesterday, Taylor.
00:50:07
Speaker
If I didn't have someone shadow me, I probably wouldn't knock much yesterday, but I did.
00:50:12
Speaker
It was dark and people were kind of skeptical and we're still going because we got to talk to these people.
00:50:19
Speaker
We have to.
00:50:20
Speaker
We don't have any other option.
00:50:22
Speaker
Yeah.
00:50:23
Speaker
Yeah.
00:50:24
Speaker
That's good stuff.
00:50:25
Speaker
Well, Christian, just last couple of things here.
00:50:30
Speaker
I want to talk about like cancels.
00:50:32
Speaker
I know that's something we've all dealt with, but like I think all of us, we have times where we feel like everyone just cancel and we're signing people up and it's just killing our momentum.
00:50:43
Speaker
So for you and your team, do you guys have anything that you've done to reduce cancels?
00:50:48
Speaker
And for the times you do have cancels,
00:50:51
Speaker
How do you guys deal with that?
00:50:52
Speaker
And how do you deal with the mental side of things and help guys stay positive through all that?
00:50:58
Speaker
Yes.
00:50:58
Speaker
And for me, I do want to touch on that.
00:51:02
Speaker
I love talking about cancels because the more you sell, the more cancels you get.
00:51:06
Speaker
So if you think of Grant Cardone and probably his answer was like, you should be looking for more cancels then.
00:51:15
Speaker
But I know it is pretty tough.
00:51:17
Speaker
It is hard because...
00:51:19
Speaker
Some people, they just let it get in their heads.
00:51:22
Speaker
And I have to deal with it all the time with my reps.
00:51:26
Speaker
Sometimes it's a perfect deal.
00:51:28
Speaker
The closer was in the house.
00:51:30
Speaker
They love solar.
00:51:31
Speaker
They love the closer.
00:51:32
Speaker
They trust the company.
00:51:33
Speaker
And then they talk to the family member that's in Mexico.
00:51:37
Speaker
Or I don't know, they talk to someone.
00:51:39
Speaker
You know, there's always something that comes into place and there's not much what we can do.
00:51:46
Speaker
So...
00:51:47
Speaker
It's just, I was going to say, it's just that understand that it's part of the job.
00:51:51
Speaker
There's a few things that you can do, which is like the post, close, close, like the handwritten card, the send out cards, things that I learned from you, things that we shared in here.
00:52:02
Speaker
You have episodes on that on the podcast.
00:52:04
Speaker
And like, I'm always listening to your stuff.
00:52:06
Speaker
I told you last time, I'm still like your number one listener.
00:52:12
Speaker
yeah yeah i'm and i feel i feel so honored to be like the the number three you have almost 300 episodes and for me it's just like it's such an honor because i just try to be real like with the things like cancel will happen guys and and i would say to not
00:52:35
Speaker
Just produce more.
00:52:36
Speaker
You know, like if you're selling four and you have to cancel, I don't know.
00:52:40
Speaker
So eight, that means you're going to if you have four cancel, you still have four more.
00:52:45
Speaker
And at the same time, try to understand why these people are canceling.
00:52:49
Speaker
So one of the things that I did recently, because I told you guys I've shared on my Instagram that I had a hat trick on cancels.
00:52:57
Speaker
I had three at the same day.
00:52:59
Speaker
Oh, wow.
00:53:00
Speaker
And that's, yeah, and that's not a good day, right?
00:53:03
Speaker
Like, that's not a good day to be in because I got the councils and then like, just think of it.
00:53:09
Speaker
I have appointments at 5 p.m.
00:53:10
Speaker
and then I'm going to get to the house and then I just got the third cancel.
00:53:14
Speaker
It was just like, damn, I'm already negative three deals for the day.
00:53:18
Speaker
How do you get to that house?
00:53:19
Speaker
You know, like what's in your mind at that moment?
00:53:22
Speaker
So I have a few things that I do that I've learned from like Tony Robbins.
00:53:27
Speaker
It's all about the content that you consume.
00:53:30
Speaker
Like what type of media, like,
00:53:32
Speaker
we're always driving.
00:53:34
Speaker
We're always constantly going to turf.
00:53:36
Speaker
Like, don't like, why are you listening to music?
00:53:40
Speaker
I mean, I just want the mindset mentor.
00:53:43
Speaker
It's an amazing podcast.
00:53:44
Speaker
Rob Dio jr. I love it.
00:53:46
Speaker
It's my favorite.
00:53:47
Speaker
It's my go-to.
00:53:47
Speaker
Um,
00:53:49
Speaker
There's a few like super old recordings from Earl Nightingale, you know, Tony Robbins, Jim Romm.
00:54:00
Speaker
I listen to that type of stuff, like old school stuff.
00:54:03
Speaker
It's not even like, yeah, it's not.
00:54:05
Speaker
Yeah, it's not even easy to find.
00:54:07
Speaker
I can share with you guys.
00:54:08
Speaker
I have the links on speed dial.
00:54:10
Speaker
There's a few things that I listen to just to help with me, like with the mental game.
00:54:16
Speaker
So for councils, try to create as much rapport as you can.
00:54:21
Speaker
And one of the things that we start implementing is just processes after the point of sale.
00:54:28
Speaker
After site survey is done, do an additional touch.
00:54:32
Speaker
Go back to the house.
00:54:33
Speaker
You can have, if they have pets, you can bring some dog treats.
00:54:37
Speaker
You know, a lot of people, they like plants and plants are great, great gifts because they last forever.
00:54:44
Speaker
Different than flowers because flowers, they might die in a week or so.
00:54:48
Speaker
But plants, they last longer and people usually take care of it.
00:54:52
Speaker
So there is a truck.
00:54:56
Speaker
It's a truck in the street.
00:54:58
Speaker
I'm sorry.
00:55:00
Speaker
I actually can't even really hear it.
00:55:01
Speaker
So, OK, cool.
00:55:03
Speaker
The cyber truck, the Tesla cyber truck.
00:55:06
Speaker
Wow.
00:55:06
Speaker
Yeah, he just hung.
00:55:07
Speaker
Okay.
00:55:09
Speaker
Yeah.
00:55:09
Speaker
So that's saying, I was just going to say, like, just trying to customize the experience.
00:55:14
Speaker
So they kind of, you know, validate their decision.
00:55:19
Speaker
I'll say an extra touch after point of sale is being like game changer.
00:55:22
Speaker
Because most closers, once they sell the deal, like their mind's already on the next deal.
00:55:27
Speaker
They like, oh, screw these people.
00:55:29
Speaker
I don't want to talk to these people because they feel like if I go back to the house, we're going to cancel.
00:55:33
Speaker
Yeah.
00:55:34
Speaker
Maybe if you don't go back to the house, that's why they're going to cancel.
00:55:37
Speaker
So just adding a few extra steps to the closing process, that's going to secure the bag.
00:55:44
Speaker
And I realized that when I had the lowest cancel rate is when I actually had more contact with my

Customer Relationship Strategies and Time Optimization

00:55:52
Speaker
customers.
00:55:52
Speaker
Yeah.
00:55:53
Speaker
i love that and um i think it's important too like for me i've gone through times where i have a few deals cancel and then they've been from setters and then the setter's like wow does taylor suck now like all his deals are canceling on me and all that yeah i've been guilty of not having enough touches but um what i would say to that if you're maybe a setter listening to this if you're setting up the deals like how instead of just trying to like automatically blame the closer all the time
00:56:20
Speaker
like how could you work with the closer maybe your closer had 10 more deals to go to that day so instead of complaining why don't you be like hey what is there anything we can do to help um like you know solidify this i'll be in the neighborhood tomorrow do you want me to stop by and just say congrats on the solar and drop off something like stuff like that like think together collaborate together
00:56:41
Speaker
And then, like you said, send out stuff because I mean, sometimes like, especially for newer setters, you got to understand it's like, yeah, maybe they're obviously closers always trying to improve, but it's not always their fault.
00:56:56
Speaker
Yes.
00:56:56
Speaker
Yes.
00:56:57
Speaker
Yes.
00:56:57
Speaker
I do want to touch on that.
00:56:59
Speaker
No closer will ever get a deal and hope that they cancel the next day.
00:57:02
Speaker
Like, no, like no one intentionally would go in a house and say, Hey, I'm doing, I'm going to screw this deal.
00:57:07
Speaker
And no.
00:57:09
Speaker
So yes, it's important.
00:57:11
Speaker
have the close communication and if the satyrs can be because usually typically the satyrs are in the area for a lot longer than the closer is so they have a putter on the board already they can come back and check on those people and I agree with you on that that's a really good tip
00:57:28
Speaker
Yeah, for sure.
00:57:30
Speaker
Well, Christian, I know we're, um, I'm actually getting ready to head to it.
00:57:33
Speaker
Dale here soon myself.
00:57:35
Speaker
And I know you're out and turf and everything.
00:57:36
Speaker
Um, but just as we start wrapping up here, um, well, I guess first off, if you didn't hear already the last episode, um, or in case guys are living under a rock, what's the best way to connect with you or find you on Instagram.
00:57:50
Speaker
If guys aren't following you already, I want to give a quick shout out for that.
00:57:53
Speaker
Yeah, I mean, if they're not, cool.
00:57:56
Speaker
I'm always there.
00:57:57
Speaker
I post crap every single day.
00:57:59
Speaker
And some people like it, some people don't.
00:58:02
Speaker
If you don't like it, I don't care.
00:58:05
Speaker
I'm not going to be, you know.
00:58:07
Speaker
But yeah, it's just Christian Moroni on Instagram.
00:58:11
Speaker
I have Facebook as well.
00:58:13
Speaker
So I can, Facebook, I usually mainly use to, you know, Facebook.
00:58:18
Speaker
keep in touch with my people in Brazil, my friends.
00:58:21
Speaker
And I've been in this, yeah, like I'm grateful.
00:58:24
Speaker
Like life, life has changed a lot over the last few years.
00:58:29
Speaker
Last time I talked to you, it was just a little, it was like a little shy of three years in this country.
00:58:34
Speaker
Now I'm four years and three weeks.
00:58:37
Speaker
So I've been here for four years and three weeks, almost a year, four years and a month.
00:58:43
Speaker
Yeah, Christian Moroni on Instagram and my phone number is 801-666-9095.
00:58:50
Speaker
You can text, shoot me questions, whatever.
00:58:54
Speaker
If I have time, I will always get back to you.
00:58:57
Speaker
I might not answer the phone call right away, but I always text you back with whatever answer, whatever you're struggling with.
00:59:03
Speaker
all right well appreciate that i mean very giving so don't blow up his phone too much you just put his phone number on here but no it's cool to see and i know that's been a big factor in your success i think is just having that abundance mindset and always be willing to give to other people which i know we touched on in the last podcast um and so yeah it's been great having you back on and just hear kind of like the evolution of some things and um last question i had
00:59:29
Speaker
before we wrap up here, Christian.
00:59:30
Speaker
So you hit 30 deals in 30 days.
00:59:34
Speaker
Last we talked, you did 15.
00:59:36
Speaker
So what did it take to get to that next level?
00:59:38
Speaker
For guys saying, hey, I want to get to that next level.
00:59:41
Speaker
I've never been able to do it.
00:59:42
Speaker
What did it take?
00:59:43
Speaker
I love it.
00:59:44
Speaker
Love it.
00:59:45
Speaker
It's not about the skill.
00:59:46
Speaker
It's a little tweak on the skill set.
00:59:49
Speaker
It's just how you leverage time.
00:59:52
Speaker
What is the attention you give to the hour?
00:59:55
Speaker
I say that every single day.
00:59:57
Speaker
It's not about the hours.
00:59:58
Speaker
It's the attention you give to the hour.
01:00:01
Speaker
Pay attention to what type of people you're sitting down with.
01:00:04
Speaker
Are you trying to sell the guy that has no interest in solar and you still go through a two hour presentation?
01:00:12
Speaker
So I feel you, Taylor.
01:00:14
Speaker
I just like if I don't feel I can close the deal, I just walk out.
01:00:19
Speaker
Yes.
01:00:20
Speaker
So like, don't give your time to people that are not ready.
01:00:25
Speaker
You know, like I said that last time, I look for the low hanging fruits, but now I just try to be like the attention you put money.
01:00:34
Speaker
You can always get back.
01:00:35
Speaker
So that's why I was just like, I don't get it.
01:00:38
Speaker
Why these guys are always posting this failed credits.
01:00:40
Speaker
You shouldn't be having as many failed credits.
01:00:44
Speaker
Yeah.
01:00:44
Speaker
I'm sorry.
01:00:45
Speaker
I'm not sorry.
01:00:47
Speaker
I'm actually not sorry.
01:00:49
Speaker
qualify better.
01:00:51
Speaker
Ask questions.
01:00:53
Speaker
Oh, like I asked the credit score.
01:00:55
Speaker
He said it was above 650.
01:00:56
Speaker
Okay.
01:00:57
Speaker
So ask, Hey, what about car payments?
01:00:58
Speaker
Like, do you have any missed payments on a car?
01:01:01
Speaker
Okay.
01:01:01
Speaker
Do you have any bankruptcy file file?
01:01:03
Speaker
Okay.
01:01:03
Speaker
No.
01:01:04
Speaker
Okay.
01:01:05
Speaker
And I straight up, let's say we're role playing.
01:01:07
Speaker
I'm on the door right now.
01:01:07
Speaker
I'll say, sir, I literally look for reasons to not do it.
01:01:10
Speaker
Okay.
01:01:10
Speaker
I'm going to look for a few red flags.
01:01:13
Speaker
Do you have any, any, any late payments on your mortgage?
01:01:17
Speaker
Any late payments on your cars?
01:01:19
Speaker
Nope.
01:01:20
Speaker
Okay.
01:01:20
Speaker
Any recent late payments?
01:01:23
Speaker
No, but I did have a bankruptcy.
01:01:25
Speaker
Okay.
01:01:26
Speaker
You see, and I always ask about the bankruptcy.
01:01:28
Speaker
I ask all of these things.
01:01:29
Speaker
So I never, ever get a credit bill.
01:01:33
Speaker
I'm like, oh, so when was the last time you checked your credit?
01:01:38
Speaker
Like two years ago.
01:01:40
Speaker
Okay.
01:01:41
Speaker
That's a red flag.
01:01:42
Speaker
What happened that this guy never checked his credit?
01:01:45
Speaker
maybe it's the older guy that has everything together.
01:01:49
Speaker
Okay.
01:01:49
Speaker
You can tell.
01:01:50
Speaker
Or if it's a guy that you kind of feel like, okay, so let's just, let's just take a look at it.
01:01:56
Speaker
The thing is just, most people don't have the court.
01:01:58
Speaker
So like this leveraging time, Taylor, I'm not changing this kill set.
01:02:03
Speaker
I'm just focusing the attention.
01:02:05
Speaker
It's like, can I close this guy?
01:02:06
Speaker
Yes.
01:02:07
Speaker
Okay.
01:02:07
Speaker
I'll do it.
01:02:08
Speaker
Can I close this guy?
01:02:09
Speaker
No, I don't do it.
01:02:10
Speaker
Yeah.
01:02:12
Speaker
That's awesome.
01:02:13
Speaker
Well, yeah, I mean, there's only so much you can improve, too.
01:02:16
Speaker
It's like from this from here to a year ago, you've maybe improved one percent.
01:02:21
Speaker
Right.
01:02:22
Speaker
But it's like you've leveraged time a little bit better and you've picked up a few more like skills in your sales game.
01:02:30
Speaker
And that's probably it.
01:02:31
Speaker
And that's what took you to 30.
01:02:33
Speaker
So, yeah, I mean, for people that there's no like massive secret or anything, it's just like tweaking one thing here, tweaking another thing there, trying to make a 1% improvement over the course of the year and then mastering the time.
01:02:47
Speaker
Cause that's one thing in common.
01:02:48
Speaker
Everyone that has hit big numbers.
01:02:51
Speaker
Um, I mean, we've had this dude named chance closed over 60 in a month.
01:02:55
Speaker
Um, a guy at my company, Ricardo, um, I think almost 70 deals in a month.
01:03:01
Speaker
But they were just masters of time for that month.
01:03:03
Speaker
Like they didn't step in a house if they thought there was any chance of them basically not doing it or like felling credit.
01:03:10
Speaker
They're not even stepping inside that house.
01:03:12
Speaker
So yeah, and they're trying to figure out all that, you know, beforehand, obviously, rather than having a surprise in the home.
01:03:18
Speaker
Like, oh, yeah.
01:03:19
Speaker
And obviously, that's the next best thing in the home.
01:03:22
Speaker
Figure that out right away.
01:03:23
Speaker
But yeah, huge secret.
01:03:26
Speaker
That is a super...
01:03:27
Speaker
Yeah.
01:03:28
Speaker
Love it.
01:03:28
Speaker
Love it.
01:03:29
Speaker
So, uh, yeah.
01:03:30
Speaker
Um, I think that's, that's a good way to kind of end the podcast, but, um, we appreciate you coming on for a second time, Christian.
01:03:36
Speaker
I hope we can have you on a third time, maybe next year.
01:03:38
Speaker
Let's do it.
01:03:41
Speaker
And guys, let's, let's get this podcast over 3000 downloads.
01:03:45
Speaker
We got the last one.
01:03:47
Speaker
Is that 2700?
01:03:48
Speaker
I think let's get this post this, share this.
01:03:51
Speaker
And, uh, we appreciate coming and showing then any last, uh, I don't know, words of wisdom you want to share with us as we hop up here, Christian.
01:03:58
Speaker
no taylor i just want to say time is the most valuable resource so i want to appreciate every single one to take the time and maybe we maybe we're just being listening to music too much there's so much good content out there like your podcast and so many other stuff so i feel like i do want to attribute is that a word like i want to give my success and say that like one of the main factors just not
