00:00:16
Speaker
She has a new product out.
00:00:20
Speaker
Hopefully, I said that right.
00:00:24
Speaker
We're going to talk about business, entrepreneurship, anxiety, and just life and business itself.
00:00:31
Speaker
I'm pretty stoked and happy for this interview.
00:00:34
Speaker
I just got like a wave or energy that came through just now.
00:00:38
Speaker
So we're going to see when we get her on.
00:00:47
Speaker
I'm so happy to be here.
00:00:48
Speaker
Thanks for having me on.
00:00:50
Speaker
I just literally just finished meditating.
00:00:52
Speaker
And after I got up, I got like this sharp, just crazy energy that just came through.
00:00:58
Speaker
Like, yo, I don't know what this is in store today for you and I and this podcast.
00:01:04
Speaker
I'm happy for you to be here.
00:01:06
Speaker
Shouts out to you launching your new brand and your instant coffee.
00:01:11
Speaker
Is it Get Super or Get Super?
00:01:12
Speaker
Did I say it right?
00:01:13
Speaker
Yeah, it's Get Super.
00:01:15
Speaker
We just removed the E. Get Super.
00:01:20
Speaker
Well, everyone, this is Whitney Eckes.
00:01:22
Speaker
I said that right or correctly.
00:01:24
Speaker
You're always pronouncing it.
00:01:27
Speaker
She's a serial entrepreneur, business owner.
00:01:31
Speaker
She's great in the market space, you know, marketing for companies like SoulCycle, Marriott Hotels, and a lot of
00:01:38
Speaker
digital brands as well and products.
00:01:40
Speaker
So thank you for being here.
00:01:42
Speaker
Welcome to Bigger Talks.
00:01:44
Speaker
We're going to have a Bigger Talk conversation about life and all things and your new instant coffee.
00:01:50
Speaker
But to people who don't know you, can you just give us like a brief description of who you are and your intentions and who you are just in general in life and for yourself?
Get Super: A Wellness Journey
00:02:04
Speaker
I mean, I think you pretty much covered all of it, but I am a serial entrepreneur.
00:02:09
Speaker
I've been in the marketing space for the last eight or nine years.
00:02:12
Speaker
And more recently, I just launched our first product-based business, which is Get Super.
00:02:18
Speaker
It's an instant wellness beverage company that aims to make everyone's day a little bit more super.
00:02:24
Speaker
So we essentially look for products and supplements that help everyone's daily routine and bring them calm, focused energy.
00:02:34
Speaker
So the supplements, so you have supplements.
00:02:36
Speaker
I didn't know that.
00:02:37
Speaker
What type of supplements?
00:02:38
Speaker
Are they just like
00:02:40
Speaker
Do you have dummies?
00:02:41
Speaker
Do you have dummy bears?
00:02:44
Speaker
No, everything we do will be in the form of an instant beverage.
00:02:47
Speaker
We're huge into like the stick pack game.
00:02:49
Speaker
And quite honestly, I love to travel and I'm constantly on the go.
00:02:53
Speaker
And so having, you know, having these amazing little stick packs on the go, just to be able to pop it into my coffee or a water bottle or things like that just really makes sense.
00:03:03
Speaker
And supplement wise, I can't say anything just yet, but we are working on our next line of products that should be launching
00:03:09
Speaker
hopefully very soon oh congrats that's major so what with you know what was the intentions behind you starting this coffee brand other than you know people need instant energy and want to feel good to get things done what was the turning point of the moment you're like you know what this is what i'm going to do yeah you know um
00:03:30
Speaker
Get Super really came to me kind of in like a moment of me just walking through my own mental health journey.
00:03:37
Speaker
So in 2020, I was diagnosed with severe anxiety disorder and depression.
00:03:43
Speaker
Mental health, you know, or just kind of
00:03:46
Speaker
issues within mental health does like run in my family genetically.
00:03:49
Speaker
And so for me, it was like this huge just breakdown period.
00:03:55
Speaker
I felt really I felt really lost and I felt like I had worked so hard and I had all this ambition and we were walking through the pandemic and I had lost 75 percent of my marketing agency business just like that.
00:04:08
Speaker
And I just found myself in this really, really dark time.
00:04:13
Speaker
So because there had been a history of addiction in my family, I chose to walk through this diagnosis holistically.
00:04:21
Speaker
And what that led me to is realizing the way that, or is realizing that certain things that I put into my body have a certain reaction.
00:04:30
Speaker
or trigger or can cause me to have onset anxiety very quickly.
00:04:36
Speaker
So I started experimenting by putting CBD oil in my coffee every morning.
00:04:41
Speaker
And I started noticing that, hey, caffeine's a trigger, but I love my caffeine.
00:04:46
Speaker
I want to drink three, four cups of coffee a day.
00:04:48
Speaker
I'm an entrepreneur.
00:04:49
Speaker
I want that nice little kick of energy.
00:04:53
Speaker
But I also can't walk through my day and be as productive if I'm all of a sudden having a full-on anxiety attack.
00:05:01
Speaker
And so there was this like, I don't want to give this up, but I want some sort of balance and I don't want to have to feel like I'm sacrificing everything because I'm already walking through this holistically.
00:05:11
Speaker
I'm trying to really be in tune with my body.
00:05:14
Speaker
And so essentially that led us to get super.
00:05:18
Speaker
And instead of dropping in CBD oil, which isn't the most effective way to be doing it, we take a water soluble hemp extract and infuse it into instant coffee.
00:05:29
Speaker
um and so that's the best way to see all the benefits and for the hemp to really activate because it's activate activated by heat and it's convenient you can take it on the go you can travel with it you can you know use it instead of your gross hotel coffee so that's that's how it led that's kind of the main story and the personal reason as to what led me to get super well congratulations on that journey and um
00:05:53
Speaker
overcoming all those things and fears and situations.
00:05:57
Speaker
Let's take it back a
Mental Health and Mindset
00:05:59
Speaker
And so in the mental health space from anxiety, you said it was from your family, you have a repeated history of people consistent with that, right?
00:06:10
Speaker
Correct me if I'm wrong, because sometimes we hear information about things that you don't really know.
00:06:15
Speaker
So when I hear about mental health, mental illnesses, you hear that it's hereditary or it's a chemical imbalance.
00:06:24
Speaker
Is that like actually true that it is some type of chemical imbalance that a person might experience when they go through severe depression or anxiety?
00:06:34
Speaker
Yeah, I mean, I would say that it's for sure a chemical imbalance.
00:06:38
Speaker
I mean, at least for me, and that's what I've been noticing in my body.
00:06:41
Speaker
I would also say too, that a lot of the work that I've been doing has been a lot of mindset shifts.
00:06:47
Speaker
So it's been a lot of, you know, my own beliefs and what I thought about myself or what I think about the world and working through a lot of these barriers or, um,
00:07:02
Speaker
I call them grooves.
00:07:04
Speaker
And the reason why I call them grooves is that it's like a thought pattern.
00:07:07
Speaker
It's this thought pattern that you've constantly been walking down or going through and it becomes almost like muscle memory.
00:07:13
Speaker
And so for me, that was something that I started noticing was that a lot of this was just triggered because I slowed down and I started realizing the way I was thinking about myself or my life or the way I wasn't taking care of myself.
00:07:26
Speaker
And so that too led into it.
00:07:28
Speaker
And I think there's a lot of different, I think there's a lot of different mixes here in terms of like how people suffer with anxiety.
00:07:35
Speaker
And obviously, I'm not a licensed professional, I just know from my person testimonial.
00:07:40
Speaker
But from what I started noticing is that mine was more specifically, there was this really awful way that I was thinking, there was obviously the imbalance, there was a lot of things going on.
00:07:51
Speaker
And it just kind of washed over me all at once the moment I kind of slowed down.
00:07:56
Speaker
Yeah, that I mean, thank you for, you know, verifying that and giving that information, because even if as a psychiatrist of anyone in that space, you know, you can go to school and learn something and be educated on it.
00:08:08
Speaker
But to actually go through it and have the experience is a different type of lesson and blessing and also teaching that you can give someone who hasn't experienced that.
00:08:19
Speaker
And it's, you know, I think you said something about slowing down.
00:08:23
Speaker
And I'm aware of like this year for me and most of last year, but
00:08:28
Speaker
when you slow down and your life is not normal like it was, because, you know, before the pandemic, everybody was just going to work, doing what they had to do, and everyone was moving and grooving.
00:08:39
Speaker
So if you have feelings or emotions or situations, you can just kind of like suppress it, not really think about it because you don't have the time, you don't have the patience.
00:08:48
Speaker
You just, you go and then things slow down.
00:08:51
Speaker
And when things slow down, things come up, right?
00:08:56
Speaker
They're looking at you like, hey buddy, remember me from 2015?
00:09:03
Speaker
You know, like for me, what I realized like, oh shit, like my trauma or I have a wound here or why am I feeling this way?
00:09:11
Speaker
It's because now those blind spots that I couldn't see, I can now see clearly because I don't have a bunch of distraction, which is life and people in the way.
00:09:20
Speaker
of me being in my body in the current moment and I think it's imperative for people to realize and acknowledge and be aware that we all might be suffering from some type of anxiety or depression.
00:09:32
Speaker
We all might be still dealing with a past relationship or a traumatic experience that we haven't overcame or got through or we thought we forgot about.
00:09:42
Speaker
So I'm happy to know that you
00:09:44
Speaker
You're doing the work, you continue to work and you create a brand from something that could be painful, but now you can add value to someone who needs it.
00:09:53
Speaker
And I think that's the best thing in life is when you can find something
00:09:58
Speaker
when you're going through something that creates a better day or, or, or feeling for someone else.
00:10:06
Speaker
I mean, that's, that's everything that we want to do.
00:10:08
Speaker
And I think too, like even looking back at just some of the brands that I was, you know, kind of personally testing out on myself before moving in to get super that, I mean, they're inspirations to me.
00:10:20
Speaker
Like that was like, um, yeah,
00:10:22
Speaker
One of the products I really, really enjoy is Sunday Scaries and Wings CBD.
00:10:29
Speaker
Those are both two really incredible brands and both of the owners and entrepreneurs behind them have really wanted to make people feel better.
00:10:38
Speaker
I think when we look at Get Super, like there's, there's so much that I'm even more interested in besides just, you know, the hemp and CBD aspect.
00:10:46
Speaker
Like, you know, now we're seeing this really cool movement with adaptogens and, you know, with just these super foods that are coming through and that are helping, you know, our brain, they're helping, you know, our body to just be able to regulate normally or, you know, to get us to feel a little bit better.
00:11:02
Speaker
So there's, there's a lot in the mix and a lot that I am like currently, you know, I've,
00:11:07
Speaker
experimenting with.
Astrology and Life Lessons
00:11:08
Speaker
I feel like I've become a formulator just through this whole process because I'm constantly mixing concoctions and seeing how I feel after.
00:11:15
Speaker
And you're such an experimental person or you know doer.
00:11:20
Speaker
What sign are you by the way?
00:11:23
Speaker
Oh yeah, I felt that.
00:11:24
Speaker
I was like, because my moon sign is a Sag.
00:11:30
Speaker
So my mood and emotions are like a Sag, like let's go, what are we doing?
00:11:33
Speaker
Let's figure it out.
00:11:35
Speaker
Let's experience it.
00:11:37
Speaker
Okay, if it doesn't work, at least we know, but we can't think if we don't do it.
00:11:40
Speaker
We got to do it to know it and then we can grow it, right?
00:11:43
Speaker
Heck yeah, what are you?
00:11:46
Speaker
Oh, I love Pisces.
00:11:48
Speaker
I feel it all, right?
00:11:51
Speaker
Earlier, I was like, you know, sometimes you can't control an outcome of how someone else is going to feel because you feel indifferent, right?
00:11:59
Speaker
Sometimes you got to let things be, even if it's uncomfortable for you, so you can get a perspective and a message from it.
00:12:07
Speaker
Because what people are not aware of is that it's
00:12:10
Speaker
In pain, there's perspective in pain as much as it is in the gain and success and happiness, right?
00:12:16
Speaker
You can learn from pain, right?
00:12:19
Speaker
And I was telling my friend, I was like, look, I've been that person who tried to control outcomes and I don't want a person to be this way, be that way.
00:12:25
Speaker
I want them to like me.
00:12:26
Speaker
It's like, no, no, no.
00:12:28
Speaker
Let people be upset with you because you're human and you're not going to make mistakes.
00:12:32
Speaker
It's not the end of the world.
00:12:33
Speaker
You learn, grow from it and you become a better person because of it.
00:12:37
Speaker
But if we always live life, we live life and we want everything to be perfect.
00:12:42
Speaker
I don't want to have a panic attack.
00:12:44
Speaker
I don't want to be scared.
00:12:45
Speaker
I always want to have it together.
00:12:47
Speaker
I always want to make the right decisions.
00:12:48
Speaker
That's not really living.
00:12:49
Speaker
You're not living.
00:12:51
Speaker
Because you don't want to experience life fully.
00:12:54
Speaker
Like if I always agree with everything everyone says, then what do I believe in?
00:12:58
Speaker
Yeah, that's such a beautiful reminder, Eric.
00:13:02
Speaker
And I feel like too, like that's even something like I had to walk through in 2020 is like the, I mean, I guess I view it as like the people pleasing, like never wanting anyone to be upset with you, never wanting to mess up, never wanting to make these errors or anything like that.
00:13:16
Speaker
And it becomes like this, like you said, it becomes like you're
00:13:20
Speaker
essentially just walking on eggshells your entire life because you're not really walking through any confrontation or learning and also to like those relations those things that happen in those relationships like I feel like I felt that a lot this year is like my relationships are growing and they're deepening um but without those little confrontations without those like little areas for growth you don't get deeper
00:13:44
Speaker
We got to go deep, baby.
00:13:47
Speaker
You can't get super without getting deep.
00:13:49
Speaker
You know what I'm saying?
00:13:50
Speaker
You got to hit a nerve.
00:13:52
Speaker
Oh my God, I love you.
00:13:54
Speaker
It's a story you can tell and it's a moment because I just got over an awakening that I was living in most of my life because I created my identity out of it.
00:14:05
Speaker
And I realize now.
00:14:07
Speaker
That's that doesn't work.
00:14:09
Speaker
You told yourself to survive and be who you are.
00:14:11
Speaker
But that's not actually true.
00:14:13
Speaker
It's not helping you no more.
00:14:14
Speaker
So the universe is like you can't be that person.
00:14:16
Speaker
You can't do those things.
00:14:17
Speaker
It won't work for you because it's not serving you.
00:14:20
Speaker
And so I had to look within and say, you know what?
00:14:26
Speaker
I got the information.
00:14:27
Speaker
I have more awareness.
00:14:29
Speaker
So I think self-help is so important for just life.
00:14:34
Speaker
And everybody's not into it.
00:14:36
Speaker
Everybody doesn't want to grow.
00:14:37
Speaker
And I also believe it's not everybody's purpose to grow, right?
00:14:40
Speaker
Like everyone's here to know the truth about certain things.
00:14:44
Speaker
Everyone is not here to make millions of dollars.
00:14:47
Speaker
Like, that's not everybody's purpose.
Entrepreneurship Challenges and Sacrifices
00:14:49
Speaker
So I think sometimes social media overwhelms everyone that they have to look this way, they have to do this thing that oh, by the way, I saw you put something on your story two weeks ago.
00:14:58
Speaker
And you said and it makes sense and I understand because I've been in it and I'm in it as well.
00:15:04
Speaker
It's like I don't want none of you guys looking at my life or the things I do as that it's easy and it's the best.
00:15:10
Speaker
It's times when I'm stuck, I'm confused, I don't know what to do.
00:15:14
Speaker
It's frustrating, it's overwhelming.
00:15:16
Speaker
Yes, that is real stuff right there, right?
00:15:20
Speaker
Because as an entrepreneur, as a business owner, you have all these companies, you know, multitasking, you have different emotions, different mind swings, mood swings, different conversations with yourself.
00:15:30
Speaker
You might be in fear, self-doubt, you might question, but you got to figure this shit out.
00:15:37
Speaker
But it's like people, it's not sunshine and rainbows.
00:15:42
Speaker
So can you speak on that for the people who are listening and who will listen, who are watching that don't take entrepreneurship or what you do or how you do for granted?
00:15:51
Speaker
Because it's not a game.
00:15:56
Speaker
So I feel like I want to give a little bit of context to all of that too.
00:16:00
Speaker
And even when I did post that on my story.
00:16:02
Speaker
So I've been, again, I've been in social media since I think it was 2012, 2013.
00:16:09
Speaker
I started with Red Bull.
00:16:11
Speaker
And I'll never forget, Facebook was around, Instagram was like
00:16:15
Speaker
just starting to like rise up.
00:16:17
Speaker
Like it was still that like photographer platform.
00:16:21
Speaker
And I remember them being like, let's go like, let's go take photos of our athletes, like our badass Red Bull athletes.
00:16:27
Speaker
And like you guys post them to your Instagram and you make it look cool.
00:16:30
Speaker
And like everyone's going to want to like join our next Red Bull event because like you're showcasing it.
00:16:36
Speaker
So when we talk about social media, and I want to share that story because when we talk about social media,
00:16:42
Speaker
It is such a showcasing platform.
00:16:46
Speaker
And like more specifically, like when you talk about like Instagram and we talk about like Facebook or things like that, these platforms have literally been designed for you to showcase a piece of your life.
00:16:59
Speaker
Now we've gone through this huge trend where it's like, we've seen like the curated feeds.
00:17:04
Speaker
We've seen like the beautiful influencers.
00:17:07
Speaker
Like we've seen, you know, all this pretty, beautiful stuff.
00:17:11
Speaker
That's just very like almost unattainable.
00:17:15
Speaker
And there is such a, you know, I think we're moving more into this trend.
00:17:19
Speaker
And I even like, I got to champion TikTok here for a second, because I feel like TikTok has given such realness and authenticity to people's lives.
00:17:28
Speaker
And even with the trends, like people sharing openly about like their own mental health or childhood traumas or things they went through and like how they came out on the other side.
00:17:38
Speaker
But before all that, before that became a trend, we were only seeing like this highlight reel of like,
00:17:44
Speaker
how good your life is and like only showcasing the positive parts of your life.
00:17:50
Speaker
And so when I was working on promoting Get Super, like I'm promoting myself, like I'm promoting my businesses, I'm promoting all of my achievements, anything that I've done well, I'm putting it out there into the world so that we can make a solid platform for Get Super to launch off of.
00:18:08
Speaker
And that's just a promotional marketing strategy that I've put in for myself.
00:18:16
Speaker
Did I go through multiple breakdowns?
00:18:19
Speaker
Did I have moments where like, I mean, just complete falling apart?
00:18:27
Speaker
In those moments, in those super, super intimate moments, like it is very difficult to showcase all of that.
00:18:34
Speaker
And I mean, unless I'm like hosting a reality TV show, like you're not going to see that.
00:18:38
Speaker
And most people aren't going to share that.
00:18:40
Speaker
So when I was getting all this like, good job, oh my God, you're incredible.
00:18:45
Speaker
Literally, anyone can do this.
00:18:48
Speaker
You can do this if you put your mind to it, but also know that this huge, long journey that's taken me a year and a half to launch this brand and for me to show up and show all these achievements over the last nine years has been so much sacrifice, has been me not being a normal looking human being for a lot of the time.
00:19:07
Speaker
My boyfriend has literally had to just hold me during some of those moments.
00:19:12
Speaker
That's the reality of it.
00:19:14
Speaker
It's that social media is not real.
00:19:17
Speaker
It is a tool for us to showcase, you know, a platform, what we're doing, our jobs, what we're doing great.
00:19:25
Speaker
And there is such a large percentage of that that's not showing the behind the scenes that I think people actually are needing to see.
00:19:32
Speaker
And I would love to see that change in social.
00:19:35
Speaker
They need to know it.
00:19:36
Speaker
Like literally, like I had my manager's birthday was last night.
00:19:40
Speaker
So I got in late and I'm like, Oh shit.
00:19:42
Speaker
I have a podcast tomorrow.
00:19:43
Speaker
I had a client at 7am.
00:19:45
Speaker
I woke up at like six o'clock feeling like shit.
00:19:48
Speaker
I don't want to do this today.
00:19:54
Speaker
I'm like, come on, bro.
00:19:55
Speaker
So I did my prayer, my meditation affirmation.
00:19:59
Speaker
Let me do this, let me do that.
00:20:00
Speaker
Oh, let me put the story out before I go to my client at 7am, right?
00:20:05
Speaker
Then on my way back from my client, I had a crucial conversation with someone close to me about some real stuff, you know, letting go and moving on and all these things.
00:20:13
Speaker
And it's like, and then cool, I'm here.
00:20:14
Speaker
I'm on interview like, hey, what's up guys?
00:20:18
Speaker
Like, life is real out here in the field.
00:20:20
Speaker
No matter what we show, what we see.
00:20:23
Speaker
I always say people go up with what they see and not what they know.
00:20:26
Speaker
And every day is not sunshine and rainbows.
00:20:28
Speaker
Everything, I'm not super.
00:20:30
Speaker
I want to get super.
00:20:31
Speaker
Matter of way, I got to get off it, bro.
00:20:32
Speaker
Girl, can you put the link in the bio?
00:20:38
Speaker
You need to do commercial for us.
00:20:39
Speaker
It's time for us to use our platforms and let people know, like, listen, you, me, us, we're not perfect.
00:20:54
Speaker
I was in a paralysis analysis, analysis paralysis three weeks ago.
00:20:57
Speaker
I was just stuck like Chuck.
00:20:59
Speaker
I didn't know what to do.
00:21:00
Speaker
Here I am, I got a book and I'm like, and I'm still stuck, right?
00:21:04
Speaker
So it's like, why did we go through that?
00:21:06
Speaker
Why are we in those phases so we can get to the next level?
00:21:09
Speaker
You need those downtimes, you need those challenges, you need those setbacks, those hardships.
00:21:15
Speaker
So you can come back with a different approach and intentions and you can appreciate the moments when you wasn't feeling great because somebody else is going to go through it and you're going to know exactly what to give them, at least how you can help them.
00:21:25
Speaker
So it's just, I'm just happy the work you do and how you do it.
00:21:29
Speaker
I do want to talk about,
00:21:30
Speaker
Because everything is energy, right?
Diet, Energy, and Adaptogens
00:21:32
Speaker
Everything is energy.
00:21:33
Speaker
And you said something about being aware of what you put in your body.
00:21:37
Speaker
And I'm a person of do what you choose as you are, who you are, where you are.
00:21:43
Speaker
But when it comes to food, right?
00:21:45
Speaker
Food has energy, right?
00:21:47
Speaker
Whenever it's processed food, organic food, food.
00:21:53
Speaker
It has energy and I realized like in February of this year, I had stopped eating meat.
00:21:59
Speaker
I was like, I'm going to just go on a pescatarian diet for like 30 days.
00:22:03
Speaker
I want to lose some weight.
00:22:05
Speaker
Then from there, I went on to vegan for like 21 days.
00:22:08
Speaker
I didn't have the energy I needed so I just went back to the fish but I wasn't no longer eating meat and I realized my body changed and how I felt changed.
00:22:15
Speaker
And so I'm not saying that I will never eat meat again, I'm not a meat eater or whatever.
00:22:19
Speaker
But what I'm saying is that certain foods, depending on your body type and your blood type, affects and triggers, like you said, what you think, how you feel and what you do.
00:22:28
Speaker
So for you, can you speak on, because you talked about the CBD, but what else in your life that you realize when you eat it or you have some of it, it triggers an emotion or a thought in your body or in your mind?
00:22:43
Speaker
Yeah, so I have like a couple, I mean like these are things that I've noticed, like number one,
00:22:52
Speaker
Number one, there's a lot.
00:22:54
Speaker
Like I would say caffeine has been something where I never used to think that it affected me until I was like stopped, I slowed down, I was aware of what I was putting in my body and it totally affected me.
00:23:05
Speaker
Same thing with like, you know, alcohol.
00:23:07
Speaker
Alcohol can be a huge trigger.
00:23:08
Speaker
It can, yes, and it can totally affect you like honestly for multiple days, not just like one day, not just one hangover or anything like that.
00:23:19
Speaker
Now on the flip side, I've also seen like some pretty incredible adaptogens that have helped me personally.
00:23:24
Speaker
Number one, I love chaga.
00:23:26
Speaker
I think chaga is absolutely incredible for giving you a boost of energy.
00:23:35
Speaker
I've never heard of that.
00:23:37
Speaker
It's, I don't know too much about it.
00:23:40
Speaker
I just started kind of like researching its benefits, but I've been actually incorporating it into my coffee and my morning routine and I really love it.
00:23:48
Speaker
Again, it just helps me feel a little bit more energized.
00:23:52
Speaker
It actually helps like clear like a lot of like brain fog that I feel like sometimes I'll have.
00:23:58
Speaker
I also love obviously ashwagandha, reishi.
00:24:03
Speaker
I need to put a brother on.
00:24:06
Speaker
They're incredible.
00:24:08
Speaker
I mean, yeah, just go to your, honestly, go to your local health food store, ask them about the adaptogens.
00:24:15
Speaker
I mean, there's some pretty incredible brands that have really, like, shared all the knowledge and benefits behind them.
00:24:21
Speaker
Like, Four Sigmatic does a really great job.
00:24:25
Speaker
Moon Juice does another really good job.
00:24:29
Speaker
I'm forgetting one other brand and I love them so much and I can't believe I'm forgetting their name.
00:24:33
Speaker
But anyway, there's a lot to, I mean, like that's something too that I feel like is becoming more and more a little bit like mainstream is actually the use of mushrooms and like how they're like good for you.
00:24:44
Speaker
And again, these aren't your psychoactive mushroom trips.
00:24:49
Speaker
These are your beneficial ones.
00:24:52
Speaker
There's a book about that, how it enhances your being and gives you weight.
00:24:56
Speaker
It actually saves some people from passing away earlier as well that doctors have read.
00:25:02
Speaker
It's a guy named Michael Pollard of Poland.
00:25:05
Speaker
He has a book about psychedelics and how it's the new medicine, how it can help people.
00:25:09
Speaker
And it's funny because people over the years will ask me like, are you asking?
00:25:14
Speaker
So do you take mushrooms?
00:25:15
Speaker
I'm like, no, like, why?
00:25:16
Speaker
It's like, sometimes you think you just be.
00:25:23
Speaker
I was telling my dad about mushrooms the other day.
00:25:25
Speaker
And he was like, what are you talking about taking mushrooms?
00:25:27
Speaker
And I was like, no, no, not that not that kind of mushroom.
00:25:32
Speaker
Yeah, it's I would say those those have also been something that have really helped me.
00:25:36
Speaker
I actually have a girlfriend.
00:25:37
Speaker
She owns a matcha cafe in San Diego and it's holy matcha.
00:25:42
Speaker
And she started incorporating adaptogens into her matcha.
00:25:46
Speaker
And her whole story is beautiful.
00:25:48
Speaker
She went through kind of a health journey as well that led her to drinking matcha.
00:25:53
Speaker
And now she actively incorporates adaptogens into a lot of her drinks.
00:25:57
Speaker
So you can go into the cafe and order a matcha and add Rishi, Ashwagandha, Lion's Mane, a bunch of different ones.
00:26:03
Speaker
And it's really cool.
00:26:05
Speaker
You tapped in over there.
00:26:08
Speaker
She's really super.
00:26:14
Speaker
I was reading something.
00:26:16
Speaker
Shouts out to Kelsey.
00:26:17
Speaker
She's great, by the way.
00:26:18
Speaker
Shouts out to Scout's agency.
00:26:21
Speaker
You have a quote and help me if I'm saying it incorrectly.
00:26:25
Speaker
I think it goes, if you want to go up, you can dream big or something like that.
00:26:33
Speaker
There's a saying, hold on, let me see, what does it say?
00:26:36
Speaker
It was probably one of my captions.
00:26:37
Speaker
I love that you're quoting me right now though.
00:26:39
Speaker
You're making me feel so like special.
00:26:41
Speaker
Yeah, because it's like stuff like that.
00:26:44
Speaker
It makes me think like, what did you say?
00:26:48
Speaker
You call up when you're ready to dream big.
00:26:51
Speaker
What does that really mean?
Embracing Dreams and Intuition
00:26:54
Speaker
You call up when you're ready to dream big.
00:27:00
Speaker
I mean, quite honestly, like, I think, like, again, like, I'll touch into my story here.
00:27:09
Speaker
Kind of like my story from when I was younger is that I constantly felt like I wasn't enough.
00:27:17
Speaker
I was never enough.
00:27:19
Speaker
I wasn't smart enough.
00:27:20
Speaker
I wasn't clever enough.
00:27:22
Speaker
I didn't have enough experience.
00:27:23
Speaker
I didn't have... It just always constantly felt like I was receiving feedback of just not being enough to be something or to amount to something.
00:27:34
Speaker
And so when we talk about
00:27:38
Speaker
you know, dreaming big, like rising up to it, like honestly, like not giving a care anymore about what anyone thinks and just going for it, you elevate yourself.
00:27:49
Speaker
And you get yourself up to that point of just being like, these are my dreams.
00:27:53
Speaker
I am going to run with it.
00:27:54
Speaker
I'm not going to let anyone stop me.
00:27:56
Speaker
And, you know, I, it's either going to crash and burn or I'm going to make it.
00:28:00
Speaker
And one of the ways it's going to happen and eventually I'm going to get there.
00:28:03
Speaker
And so that's kind of like, I mean, that's also to just kind of my story coming up again.
00:28:09
Speaker
But that was something that I dealt with.
00:28:10
Speaker
Like growing up was just like always feeling like I was never enough.
00:28:14
Speaker
Or I was never something that was going to amount to something.
00:28:17
Speaker
And so finally, one day, it's like you throw the book out the window and you're like, I really don't give a shit anymore.
00:28:21
Speaker
Like, I'm going to do what I want to do because this is my dream.
00:28:24
Speaker
And this is what I feel led to do.
00:28:26
Speaker
And there's really nothing that's going to come in my way.
00:28:29
Speaker
Jamie Tworkowski That's beautiful because I believe that and like when I was in my stuck stagnant state, I forgot all those things right because I was like, hold on, how did I get in this place?
00:28:38
Speaker
Jamie Tworkowski Because I believed and I wasn't letting anything and I'm not gonna let anything stop me not even myself.
00:28:44
Speaker
I believe it was in me that I believe that I can do what I feel is right.
00:28:49
Speaker
whether it works or not.
00:28:51
Speaker
It's my belief system.
00:28:52
Speaker
Your belief turns into your knowing.
00:28:57
Speaker
I don't even have a logical answer for you.
00:28:59
Speaker
I know it's going to work out.
00:29:00
Speaker
I know this is going to happen.
00:29:02
Speaker
I know Get Super is going to be a great brand.
00:29:04
Speaker
I know Whitney is going to do the best she can do.
00:29:07
Speaker
You haven't even... I don't need to have that experience.
00:29:10
Speaker
I know from the gut, from my intuition, from my soul.
00:29:13
Speaker
And when you can live in that, they call it the law of assumption or belief system.
00:29:17
Speaker
nothing can stop you.
00:29:20
Speaker
Because the greatest enemy is our mind, right?
00:29:23
Speaker
And that's why we read the music we listen to, the conversations we have, the people we connect to is so vital to our existence because it affects how we think, feel and be.
00:29:32
Speaker
And I just think, you know, it's important to have that dream big mentality.
00:29:36
Speaker
It's important to get super, it's important to believe in yourself, to grow yourself.
00:29:41
Speaker
And it's important also to go through shit so you can understand what it takes, right?
00:29:45
Speaker
And I want to like, I want to tap on something there too.
00:29:47
Speaker
Like you mentioned like intuition and like, I, you know, for a lot of entrepreneurs or even not entrepreneurs, even people that, you know, are career driven or, you know, have their side hustles or whatever they're doing.
00:29:58
Speaker
take the biggest, the biggest like hurdle is to learn to trust that voice in your head or that intuition or that I, that knowing, because that is the biggest hurdle that I've ever seen in any entrepreneur is that, okay, like I know I'm led to do this.
00:30:16
Speaker
I know I'm going to go for it, but do I trust myself enough to know that like, I got it.
00:30:21
Speaker
Like I got this, like I know this is right.
00:30:25
Speaker
I know in my bones and trusting that and having that faith is,
00:30:28
Speaker
That is a mindset shift.
00:30:30
Speaker
And that is something to like, again, like I've even been working on that myself and holding my own self and holding my own trust in my intuition and knowing like, you know, if I feel this, if I know in my bones, this is right, this is what I'm meant to do.
00:30:44
Speaker
I need to go for it.
00:30:45
Speaker
Yeah, and it's important because what else because it was telling a friend earlier like what are we living for if we ain't trying to be our best self and we gonna have challenges, right?
00:30:56
Speaker
Living if you're not growing.
00:31:00
Speaker
He hit with defeat and failure and setback.
00:31:03
Speaker
that knowing, that doesn't change.
00:31:06
Speaker
We're gonna figure that out.
00:31:08
Speaker
We're gonna figure that out.
00:31:09
Speaker
And I feel like for you as an individual, you just always knew, because I had a friend tell me this, and it's just interesting, think about it.
00:31:16
Speaker
You might know, you might not know.
00:31:18
Speaker
There's a difference between believing versus knowing.
00:31:22
Speaker
Because when you believe something, your beliefs can be limited and they also can be wrong.
00:31:26
Speaker
But when you know, there's no uncertainty in the knowing.
00:31:32
Speaker
It's like, I just know.
00:31:34
Speaker
It's like, how do you know?
00:31:35
Speaker
You just know, but you say, I believe.
00:31:37
Speaker
You know, it's a different frequency that comes out, right?
00:31:39
Speaker
I believe I can believe.
00:31:41
Speaker
I know I'm gonna make it.
00:31:42
Speaker
It's a different freak.
00:31:45
Speaker
So I just think it's hard to explain because you have to have some type of belief.
00:31:50
Speaker
I feel like belief is the prerequisite for knowing.
00:31:54
Speaker
And then once you know it, you just grow and you glow.
00:31:57
Speaker
And sometimes your ego can get in the way.
00:31:59
Speaker
But when you have that knowing in you and
00:32:03
Speaker
you create products like it's super right absolutely great you know digital marketing campaigns and activations for other companies and they pay you because you know based on whatever experience you have you just know it's like i know i can do this it's like how watch me sure i love that that's that's another really good reminder eric i think that's spot on and it's like
00:32:28
Speaker
You have a platform, I have a platform, you matter, I matter, we matter, we all matter.
00:32:33
Speaker
But it's like it's all about what you believe and what you tell yourself, that internal dialogue, right?
00:32:38
Speaker
Like I don't care for you but sometimes when I'm doing something new for the first time and I'm afraid, it's like it's weird because I know I have to do it even though I don't feel like
00:32:50
Speaker
I remember when I took my swimming lessons, I know I got to get deep in at some point.
00:32:57
Speaker
I'm going to learn something totally different about life and that's what I did.
00:33:01
Speaker
Sometimes those decisions and those chances you take, it's not for that moment, it's for something else.
00:33:07
Speaker
You can be here talking and telling your story, sharing your story and being an example of, I always say I'm an example of what to do and what not to do.
00:33:18
Speaker
Do you know, are you aware of human design?
00:33:24
Speaker
So yes, I'm very, very base level.
00:33:26
Speaker
But I know I know enough.
00:33:29
Speaker
What are you generator projector manifester?
00:33:32
Speaker
I'm a manifest generator.
00:33:35
Speaker
I don't know the difference between a manifest generator, but I am a generator.
00:33:39
Speaker
So let's say as generators, we have to go off what we feel and then we move, right?
00:33:45
Speaker
So when I do something, I'm on it.
00:33:48
Speaker
Even if it doesn't make sense, it's like, what if what's your plan for that?
00:33:52
Speaker
It's like, I don't know.
00:33:55
Speaker
So I did this during a mastermind and I don't remember everything that she did, like my chart.
00:34:03
Speaker
But I feel like you're the same way as me where it's there's power in our, I forget the line, but it's the vocal line.
00:34:11
Speaker
So when you go to speak, you actually speak things into like existence.
00:34:17
Speaker
And a lot of people that are manifest generators that have this also have podcasts and also are speakers.
00:34:24
Speaker
then yeah because i think a lot of my power because i'm a three six martyr comes from my sacral chakra right that's pleasure like the joy and so if i don't my heart is not in it but i don't feel it i can't do it but that's why i get all my energy from like even coming to this yesterday i felt like i meditated i'm like i prayed i'm like yo let's get you know like let's talk let's
00:34:53
Speaker
You know, but I just love this.
00:34:55
Speaker
So let's talk about being a serial entrepreneur and having multiple businesses.
Balancing Businesses and Energies
00:35:01
Speaker
How do you manage having multiple businesses?
00:35:04
Speaker
And what is your schedule?
00:35:06
Speaker
And what is your balance?
00:35:08
Speaker
How do you manage that?
00:35:10
Speaker
You know, it's not always balanced.
00:35:12
Speaker
Like I'm right now I'm sitting in a season of my life where, you know, I just spent the last probably six months being really out of balance.
00:35:21
Speaker
like something like working like, you know, 10 to 12 hour days, which for me is a lot.
00:35:28
Speaker
I need a lot of rest.
00:35:30
Speaker
I need a lot of self care.
00:35:31
Speaker
And so doing that, you know, working seven days a week, 10 to 12 hour days, just to make sure that, you know, our clients on Ackos Marketing are well taken care of.
00:35:40
Speaker
My team's well taken care of.
00:35:42
Speaker
Get Super is, you know, building a strong foundation for launch.
00:35:45
Speaker
It's been really out of balance.
00:35:50
Speaker
I also believe that like as a serial entrepreneur, there will always be seasons like this and that there will always be times where your nose is on the grindstone and that's okay because it's not forever and it's a period of sacrifice and that sacrifice always comes back to you.
00:36:08
Speaker
And that's another mindset.
00:36:18
Speaker
I've never heard that.
00:36:19
Speaker
You're just having to come back to you?
00:36:24
Speaker
I think whenever I... No, but hold on.
00:36:27
Speaker
How did you even get to that?
00:36:30
Speaker
A lot of thinking.
00:36:31
Speaker
A lot of meditating.
00:36:37
Speaker
How can you not want to sacrifice for the greater good?
00:36:40
Speaker
Because if you have that, and that's what I'm always aware of, when a person can come up with that type of epiphany and thought and information, they're on to something.
00:36:48
Speaker
Your sacrifice will always, you got to quote that.
00:36:51
Speaker
You got to tag it.
00:36:52
Speaker
You got to put that on a shirt.
00:37:00
Speaker
Yeah, honestly, it is.
00:37:01
Speaker
Like, I, the biggest,
00:37:04
Speaker
No, I mean, honestly, like we were, you know, we were talking about, you know, I was talking to my two girlfriends.
00:37:10
Speaker
We actually did a really cool podcast interview about the masculine and feminine energy inside of business.
00:37:16
Speaker
And one of the things that we were chatting through was, you know, the scarcity mindset.
00:37:22
Speaker
And anytime you go to launch a new business, it's really hard.
00:37:25
Speaker
You know, you're putting up all these financial means.
00:37:27
Speaker
You're putting up all this time.
00:37:29
Speaker
You're essentially like betting on the flop, like,
00:37:32
Speaker
I hope this is going to work.
00:37:34
Speaker
Like, I need this to work in order to not only, you know, get everything that I put in back, but also too for it to become something.
00:37:42
Speaker
And she was talking to me and she's like, you know, I truly believe that whatever you put in flows back to you.
00:37:48
Speaker
And that's the feminine energy is sitting in a receptive receiving mode.
00:37:54
Speaker
And so when we, when I talk about the sacrifice, when I talk about launching multiple businesses, yes, is it a dance?
00:38:01
Speaker
And like, do you need to prioritize your time?
00:38:03
Speaker
And there's a whole science behind being a serial entrepreneur?
00:38:06
Speaker
A thousand percent.
00:38:07
Speaker
But also too, there's this, there is this, this flow that if you feel led through that knowing, if you feel led through that energy and your intuition,
00:38:16
Speaker
whatever you put in, it will be coming back to you.
00:38:19
Speaker
And that, I mean, again, like that is my own personal belief spiritually that, you know, I was led to get super, not only because it helped, it saved me and it helped me, but because I think quite honestly, I was led to this place in order to help other people.
00:38:35
Speaker
And to create a brand that really disrupted, you know, the wellness community and the instant beverage community in a way where we can actually be helping people through on the go convenience.
00:38:47
Speaker
So that I mean, we can talk about serial entrepreneur all day.
00:38:51
Speaker
I mean, it is a dance, but I'm here for it.
00:38:54
Speaker
And it's something that just comes to me.
00:38:58
Speaker
You got to write a book now.
Product Availability and Closing Thoughts
00:39:03
Speaker
Where can we get the product?
00:39:04
Speaker
Where's the product?
00:39:05
Speaker
You got something that you can show us?
00:39:06
Speaker
Like, how do we, we need to get something.
00:39:09
Speaker
You know, we all like sold out.
00:39:11
Speaker
We sold so much of it at my launch party.
00:39:13
Speaker
I don't even know if I have a stick pack at my house right now.
00:39:16
Speaker
But yes, you can find Get Super.
00:39:19
Speaker
Obviously follow us on social.
00:39:20
Speaker
So it's spelled G-E-T-S-U-P-R.
00:39:23
Speaker
And then you can find us on GetSuper.com.
00:39:26
Speaker
The one thing that we are currently selling right now are sample packs.
00:39:30
Speaker
So if you're like, look, I don't want to buy a box of 10 stick packs.
00:39:34
Speaker
I don't know if I'm going to like hemp infused coffee.
00:39:37
Speaker
Try our sample pack.
00:39:38
Speaker
It comes with our signature instant coffee and our hemp infused instant coffee.
00:39:43
Speaker
And then if you want to follow me, you're our podcast.
00:39:46

00:39:49
Speaker
And you can follow me on my social channel, which is just Whitney Eckes.
00:39:58
Speaker
So it's pronounced like a wet kiss.
00:40:00
Speaker
Like that's like the best way to like.
00:40:12
Speaker
Is there anything else you want to share or leave before we sign off?
00:40:15
Speaker
I think this interview was so inspirational in so many ways.
00:40:19
Speaker
You spoke very vulnerably about your life and your setbacks, but also your power.
00:40:25
Speaker
And I just think women, you know, in general, you know, I have three sisters and
00:40:31
Speaker
I always would like to see them not only not that they don't believe in themselves but believe in themselves more that they can be whatever they want.
00:40:40
Speaker
And sometimes it's hard being a woman, you know, when it comes to certain things because over the years I'm more aware of what women been dealing with, what they go through.
00:40:48
Speaker
and how they're impacted, right?
00:40:51
Speaker
Because you talk about the feminine and masculine, but I think someone like you, you're like trailblazer, right?
00:40:57
Speaker
You're a leader, you're the philanthropist, you're the entrepreneur, you're the one like I'm the manifesto generator, but I'm going to show you how I manifest, I'm going to show you how to generate.
00:41:07
Speaker
It might not be easy and feel easy, but I'm going to show you that you can do it and you have what it takes because I didn't think I had what it took and I'm doing it and I have a brand and brands and I'm helping.
00:41:17
Speaker
So join me, get in my army, right?
00:41:19
Speaker
Like I feel like you just have a bunch of women just following you like, let's go, you know, let's get super.
00:41:24
Speaker
Because get super means so many things, right?
00:41:27
Speaker
Get super in your finance, get super in your health, get super in your mindset, get super in the bedroom, get super in your fitness, like,
00:41:34
Speaker
That can be a whole brand outside of coffee, you know.
00:41:42
Speaker
People need to know that.
00:41:43
Speaker
And I think you're so valuable to the world and the things you do.
00:41:48
Speaker
So congratulations on everything.
00:41:51
Speaker
And it's just like this is my first time talking to you.
00:41:57
Speaker
And you're doing great things.
00:41:58
Speaker
You'll continue to do great things no matter what you go through.
00:42:02
Speaker
I just say stay on it.
00:42:03
Speaker
But yeah, I mean, I talk so much.
00:42:04
Speaker
Just any words of encouragement for the listeners because I'm inspired.
00:42:11
Speaker
Honestly, yeah, keep going.
00:42:13
Speaker
Whatever you got going on, keep walking through it.
00:42:16
Speaker
I think my biggest takeaway is that you are so much more capable than you believe.
00:42:21
Speaker
And then, you know, that anything that you believe or what people tell you, you are more capable than you will ever realize.
00:42:29
Speaker
And I know that is just the theme of my life.
00:42:32
Speaker
And if I could share that with you guys and inspire you guys today, I hope you I hope you take it.
00:42:38
Speaker
Take it receiving.
00:42:39
Speaker
That's how you get super.
00:42:41
Speaker
You're more than capable.
00:42:42
Speaker
You're more than enough.
00:42:43
Speaker
