Speaker: Welcome to Wine Mama, a podcast where two bestie moms whine while they whine. I'm Annie. And I'm Jemina. Let's whine. And welcome back to another fabulous episode of Wine Mama featuring me and my greasy hair that thankfully you all cannot see.

Speaker: I legitimately, not even kidding you, almost wore a hat. I almost wore a hat and then I was like, people are going be what is she, who does she think she is? She's recording in a closet and wearing a baseball cap. If I could also wear sunglasses to hide the bags under my eyes, I would also wear sunglasses to hide the bags. Just full like incognito. Like no one needs to see us. Maybe there'll be no video footage for this week.

Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. Well, just I'll just forget to upload that. OK, my computer has been acting up. been It's been taking forever to download the videos. So i keep having to restart. And then i like lose track of time and my computer goes to sleep. It's a whole thing.

Speaker: It's a whole thing. It's a whole thing. So. and you Don't come for us. Don't come for us. Maybe one of the episodes we'll do one of those like sheet masks or whatever. Could you imagine if we just sat here and just chi chitty chatted with sheet masks on?

Speaker: No, you should do the mask that you guys have. Don't you guys have some sort of like, it's like a face on there, like a famous person. What?

Speaker: The mask that like when I was over there, Kennedy kept putting it on. Oh my gosh. It's somebody's like the little, that what i don't know. It's like a pantyhose type mask. Yes. Yeah. And actually scared me so bad. Aubrey scared me with it.

Speaker: And it's's it scared me. She scared me with it it scared me It was terrifying. Can you imagine? It was terrifying. so Long story short. Anywho, um today is one of our like just like chitty chat, catch up, fun episodes. So instead of going into like kids stories and things, cause we'll just kind of like catch up after we talk about the wine, let's go dive right in to our wine of the week.

Speaker: And this week was like, oh my gosh, what is I literally had the bottle next to it. I was like, what is it called? Let me look right at this bottle. It's a long name. It's like an Italian long name.

Speaker: It is a long name. It is the Poggio Badiola. think it's Toscana. So it's 70% Sangiovese 30% Merlot. saniovei And we love both of those. So...

Speaker: ah merlo and we love both of those so Let's see. Well, we love the 70%. I wouldn't say i love all Merlots I've ever had So I'm, I'm interested because it is quite dark But it smells good. does smell good. And it is from Italy. It's from the Tuscany region. actually looked up where this is. And my parents are going to the Tuscany area in about two weeks. And this is maybe like 10 minutes from where they're staying. I was like, you have to go here. Like how crazy. Yeah.

Speaker: they need to because did you see they have a wine resort yes i sure did that's why i looked it up i was like where is this um a wine resort could you imagine unbelievable unbelievable i would like heaven sent honestly but it actually has like a lot of lot of history behind it i'll read some of it like i did not there was so you guys just have to go on the website because like the history is actually this man that started He's been everywhere. He's not only has he been everywhere, like you guys, he wine and dine with George Washington. And I wish I was saying that as a joke, but like literally he was like with like presidents, like it's all on the website, the history on it.

Speaker: He was rubbed. He was rubbing elbows with George. And it's like, I mean, listen, if we're rubbing elbows with George, having a good time, I'm thinking that this wine is, you know, it's to be pretty good, right?

Speaker: i'm i'm I'm assuming. Or they just never knew what good wine tasted like. a mean that Yeah. george George could have been like, by golly, this is it. you know And it could have been absolute shit. so But we'll be the judge of that. Trash. Trash.

Speaker: But anyways, okay. So Philip Mazze was born on December 25th, 1730. That's how you know he was friends with George Washington. He was born in 1730. Yeah.

Speaker: Do the math, Annie, while keep talking. and That's how you know he was friends. i literally had to Google when was George Washington born before this just like to make sure like our mal was it was our years were correct. yeah Make sure Philip isn't lying and just telling us some crap, you know?

Speaker: But anyways, he was born um near Florence, Italy. Mazzai, I'm guessing is the way you say the last name. I think it's Mazzai. I looked at it. Mazzai. It's Italian. Like mozzarella.

Speaker: maybe Maybe his last name derives from mozzarella. Maybe he also invented cheese. Mozzarella is M-O. This is M-A. I know. Well, obviously they have to change it. like they're They're trying to completely change the...

Speaker: You know what? Because he knows George Washington, honestly, he probably invented mozzarella too. Mozzarella cheese. that's That's all I'm trying to put out there. I'm going to give Philip the credit. But anyways, he was a man of wide interest and talents, and his influence was felt both in America and across Europe, where he traveled extensively. He was highly respected and regarded among prominent men from all walks of life.

Speaker: Yeah. throughout virginia see virginia that's where his man george was best these okay little in europe yeah exactly philosophers merchants businessmen politicians diplomats presidents and noblemen all sought ma say's friendship and advice By the time of his death on March 19th, 1816. So how old was he? What is that? My God, he was old. Jesus. had to be old. That's like a hundred years right there.

Speaker: And he died in Pisa, Italy, you know, Pisa. um Philip had been, you guys get ready for, get ready for the resume. I can't wait to- Is all you're laughing? can't wait to you pronounce these.

Speaker: going a treat. Half of these I'm not going pronounce, but the fact that this is his resume is and insane. He was a physician, a merchant. Here we go. Horticulturalist? What the hell is that?

Speaker: Horticulturist. What is that? Like ah herbs? I think that's herbs, yeah. Like horticulture? ah At least knew what meant. Horticulture or herd- Yes, that one. See? You can't even- hold dick hope Horticulturalist.

Speaker: And then a viticulturalist. What's a viticulturalist? Viticulture is like, no, no. I'm just making sure that's like wines, viticulture. Okay. A pamphleteer, a political activist, a linguist, a diplomatic agent, a historian, and a royal advisor. So not only is he with George, he is also with the kings and queens. You guys, Philip was the man.

Speaker: He was the man of the people too, because pamphleteer, he was probably just out on the streets handing out pamphlets to his wine his winery. Exactly. I don't think this was in order. I think he probably started as a pamphleteer. I mean, yeah, i was supposed to say he probably didn't start off as a physician. I'm just going to like guess. But, you know, since he since he and Georgie were BFFs, in a letter to George Washington, Matze wrote that Virginia's soil and climate was better calculated than any other wine production.

Speaker: It was the first wine company in America. so I don't know if he maybe like established something in America too. That's like a little bit of a question mark for me. Yeah. but this wine comes from vineys located in a great altitude in the heart of the kante classical region around the romanesque church dating back to the tenth century it uniquely combines the freshness and ah elegance of saniovei which we mentioned with the soft structure of merlo and the back of the bottle actually gives a little bit more detail about this church. So the, I told you guys, this is called the Poggio Badiola wine, but the Badiola is a small romantic church built in 998, like

Speaker: And so it's on the property and overlooks the vineyards below. Maybe not on the property, but it overlooks the vineyards below. It's in considered one of the most interesting Romanesque architecture architecture of the area and represents one of the architectural gems of the Castello di Fonterutoli estate, which is where this wine is from. I was reading out the back of the bottle. It's very tiny print and I got tongue-tied. so I thought that was interesting. They named the wine after that little thing. And it's got it a picture of it on the bottle itself. Yeah, I don't think, again, my light is really... Oh, there we go.

Speaker: There she is. pu but don buta So I thought that was really cool. And it says that in the on the front in Italian, but then it's on the back where us Americans...

Speaker: can um Well, he had to make sure George could read it. Yes. He was like, George, my guy, if you're not going to take the time to learn Italian, then I guess I will translate to English for you since we are best buddies. If you guys go on the website and read, like he actually talks in depth about all the presidents he met with and that when the they signed the Declaration of Independence, Philip himself translated it verbatim in Italian so the people him. You're kidding. kidding. You guys, i go on the website. Fact track me. I literally read this because I was so deep like into like this is bullshit about the president. And no, he literally he translated it into Italian so the Italian people at the time could know what the Declaration of Independence said.

Speaker: Oh, my gosh. You guys, this episode is not going to be today, Chats. It's going to be all about Philip and his extravagant life that he lived. yeah What other important document? Maybe it wasn't the Declaration of Independence. What did John Hancock sign?

Speaker: Maybe it was that. I think it was the Declaration of Independence. We're not phase historians here. No, I'm not big. I'm not a history girly. really confused me a lot. Yeah. No, don't come for us. We don't. Yeah. yeah don't please don't come for us very fair price point though between 16 and 20 dollars we found this at abc so it should be you know relatively available i knew it i do know it's newer at abc yes so um hopefully hopefully you you too can find it at your local abc if it's successful i don't know maybe they're just trialing it maybe it's like let's see how people of america now really like it or was it just a fluke

Speaker: but um did you ever read the nose and palates i don't know if we discussed that or not no i was gonna leave it to you well we've just read so much about the presidents we're so i know now this is now a history lesson but on the nose there's bright aromas of fresh raspberry bright red cherries and wild berries acts accent accented accented there's accents okay a floral violet notes and a twist of blood orange or citrus peel it's light to medium body which is kind of wild to me that it says it's light to medium body because this looks pretty dark um with crisp refreshing acidity and soft velvety tannins like it's pretty dark you guys i'm not gonna lie so the fact that's light to medium i'm like i wouldn't say light to medium i would almost say medium to um full yeah like yeah medium to full-bodied for sure like it looks heavy because it's dark

Speaker: You guys, I would be absolutely remiss if we're talking about presidents and I didn't tell you my personal fun fact is that I know all the presidents. I can actually sing. I mean, we can both probably say them. We learned this in social studies.

Speaker: what is the What is the, is it social studies? Is it fifth grade? No, we were in a middle school, Ms. Treffer's class. Shout out to Ms. Treffer, Mr. Cartwright. I have Cartwright. I don't think have to talk it. They probably shared. you guys, this was cassette tape.

Speaker: This was like cassette tape vibes. You guys don't even know if you're like 10 years younger or plus than us. You don't know what a cassette tape is. Are you going to start it off? Oh, you want me to sing it?

Speaker: Go for it. Are you going to pick it up? Washington. Jefferson Madison. my money no adams jackison good and i mean you guys this song is a bop and if they're not teaching this song at school right now they're truly missing out they're definitely not these kids don't know every president these kids don't know all you have to do is play a little i think it's like a so i try and i tried to find this i may have found i can't remember if i found on youtube recently but i tried to find it because you have to literally fill in um

Speaker: All the way through. Who's right before Reagan?

Speaker: Right before Reagan? Right before Reagan. I have sing the whole song tonight. yeah i was going to say i' have to sing the whole song. Hold on. You have to literally pick it up at Reagan. That's how old. That is how old.

Speaker: List of presidents in order. i got i gotta look at it now. Carter. Carter. Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter. and then you have to add in. Ford, Taylor, Fillmore, Pierce. That's my favorite part.

Speaker: Like, it's just like when it picks up like that, you guys, that it that is literally my favorite part. This, when that beat really drops. um No, it stops. You guys, it stops at Jimmy Carter. That's how old this song is. So you have to fill in literally I feel like we went past Jimmy, no? Well, you did You did. You go Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, and that's when we stopped. That's when we stopped, yeah.

Speaker: So it'd be Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama... trying here we go washington adams jefferson madison monroe adams jackson van buren harrison tyler polk taylor philmo pierce like that beat just dropped you guys that is really like my favorite part of the song buchanan lincoln johnson grant hayes garfield harrison mccannley roosevelt tap Wilson, Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter. And then she would always add in. You go Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush. So then we have Obama, Trump, Biden.

Speaker: Trump. Trump. Obama, Trump, Biden, Trump. I honestly say borderline ruins the song. I just let's just keep it as where we ended it because like I can't. There's no more rhythm. Yeah, the rhythm is gone. Like it only we only added it because of the rhythm. And just FYI, you guys, we never talk about politics on here. This doesn't say who we're for, who we're against.

Speaker: It's just the presidential boogie is literally what it's called. It's called the presidential boogie. And it's a bop. Again, it highly would recommend. You know what? Honestly, like, have us be guest speakers during your social studies class because we will teach you the song. It's so fun to learn.

Speaker: Like, when the beat drops, it drops. Like, I will never forget Folktale Gilmore Pierce because of that. Like, in that order, never in a different way. She you just got her hand up vibing.

Speaker: Like, Oh, my God. Could you imagine a remix to this song? At the club. At the club. Damn. Damn. Opportunity missed. Opportunity missed.

Speaker: If you're listening and you're a DJ, Pierce Elton, you are one. yeah I'm just saying. You guys, the funny thing is we have not even tried this wine yet. Yes. Let's have a sip.

Speaker: You know what? you like We're going to dedicate this one full Taylor Fieldmore Pierce. I you were George Washington. But also Georgie. The OG, you guys. will To Philip and Georgie.

Speaker: yeah May the friendship never die. which Let it be continued in wherever you are. In your resting place. Cheers. Cheers.

Speaker: Oh. I'm... i'm goingnna have to edit that out. That was aggressive. Oh my god. I almost couldn't even like taste it fully because I was still like trying to grasp my giggle from then their resting place. OK.

Speaker: This is my second sip, but like it feels like my first.

Speaker: It's good.

Speaker: not mad about it. I'm not mad about it. I think the first, I i wouldn't say the first one hit me kind of harshly. it's It's more like, a oh, that was good, but was it really good? Or am I just in my head? Let me take another sip.

Speaker: That's how I felt. George, listen, I mean, George seems like a stand-up guy, but like he's the president. He can't be backing people with like wines who are like that are like so-so. Like he can't have that on his name. i mean I don't know his, I never knew him personally, obviously, but just going to assume. Yeah.

Speaker: But also keep in mind, like he had to share this with Adams, Jefferson, Monroe Adams. I don't know how long George lives. the honest i don't know how many he shared this with. We're really not sure. like was he a likable guy? Like, would Martha have liked this?

Speaker: i think he probably didn't. Oh, you know what? Maybe he did give some to Martha. let's Let me see if I can find... Let me let me do a quick fact check here. Because he... You guys, when I tell you this man...

Speaker: Heritage. If you go, okay, first of all, if you go to the website, there's an entire tab that's titled heritage. And from there, there's like so much more you can read, but down here, he talks a lot about George, but not to make this entire podcast. I mean, name dropping or name dropping or what, Philip?

Speaker: Literally name dropping. hold on. I'm almost there. I do want to call out that this is a family, still a family owned company and it's in passed down through generations. And if you go on their website, you can see all the different, like, um, who holds different, uh, like jobs, I guess at the state and it's all, and it's all like Matzai, Matzai, Matzai, um, family, which is just really cool. It's really cool.

Speaker: It's really cool. And you want to know even what? Okay. So it was, I was right. It was the declaration of independence that he translated the document into Italian for several important newspapers. And then the great doctrine that it says all men are created equal incorporated into the declaration of independence by Thomas Jefferson was actually paraphrased from writings of Philip Mazzai and Italian born patriot and close friend of Jefferson.

Speaker: Get out of here. deton I'm dead ass. it says You guys, this is a presidential wine. the This is being served, as we speak, in the White House. this is probably This probably has a permanent slot in the winery. Do they have a winery in the White House?

Speaker: Like a wine they've got to have like a wine cellar. They have to have a wine cellar. They have to. Can someone please ask and report back? I don't think we'll ever be invited there. No, there's no reason we would ever get any type of recognition or medals or anything.

Speaker: um so we're heroes We're heroes in and of ourselves, but we're we're not we're not getting medals. Are you ready? he be He befriended and collaborated with several prominent political features, such as Literally everyone I named you guys. George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams.

Speaker: You guys, could you guys imagine if these people had Instagram right now, the collabs that they would be doing together? The collabs would be collabing. Unreal. Like we would probably have a really good wine called like the Benny or like.

Speaker: For sure. Lightning and tea or something. like Light bulb. Yeah, something like that. Yes. Electricity. Anywho. Anyways. So half of the episode was just us talking about George and Phillip's relationship. But I mean, jokes aside, that is like actually pretty cool. yes Yeah, it's pretty cool.

Speaker: hope everybody does and buys supports this wine now. Yeah. You're supporting history. You're supporting history. I know. I know. Listen. 10 out of 10. Anywho, how, what's, what's going on? How, how are how's everything? How are the kids doing?

Speaker: Oh, you guys, i have to just like vent about this because I swear I have like body dysmorphia, but I've just been feeling so ugly and fat lately. And I know we shouldn't like talk bad about ourselves and we don't do that. But like, you know, like when you're in your luteal phase and you just like, okay, men steer away, not that men listen to the podcast anyway, but don't you all just like feel so bloated and ugly and gross and you're just like the ugliest human being to yourself. And it's just like, why? Why is it like that? Like, is this our punishment for taking a bite of the apple? Like, I just don't understand why we have to feel that way for a week. like

Speaker: Can it be 24 hours? Can someone just explain that to me? Also, we do not use the word f a t on here. I'll allow it, but I get what i mean. i I know what you mean. You know what i mean. You're like, has that always been there? Has that always looked like that? i think that's our like punishment our or our payment for,

Speaker: being it's mothers and their children. i've I'm obsessed with that saying ever since hearing it. Only the only people on this earth are mothers and their children. Like, yeah.

Speaker: So that's our payment. It's like you it's mothers and their children. So you guys have to pay up somehow. You got to you got to be a little tubby every now and then. Can I just can can you just like bill me a tab though? Like I'd rather just pay monetary. Okay.

Speaker: Yeah. Like, what's this what's the subscription to not wake up and feel that way? I know. You know what i mean? And i know we all I know we all go through it. Like, it's not just me. So that's why I'm saying it. Because, like, if you're a lady listening to this, you know the exact feeling I'm talking about. And you're just like – and it's so funny because I'll just be like, Ben, don't look at me. I'm just – I'm ugly today and I just, I'm obese and like, no. And he's, he, he would just look at me like, are we okay?

Speaker: but Are we, nothing we're spiraling? Yes. Nothing has changed from yesterday. Like, why are we feeling this way? And it's like, yeah, you'll never know. I guess you'll never know because for some reason you guys are just, I don't know why, like why do they get the lucky side of things?

Speaker: i don't know And it's like multitude of things, right? Like remember a couple of years ago when it was like, are you, are there like people were asking their husbands, like, are you always thinking about something or there times where your brain is just like silent violence and there's nothing there. And there are people that like men that came out there like, yeah, sometimes it was just like, there's nothing there. And I'm like, no, that's not possible. How was there just nothing there?

Speaker: here Like, how is there nothing there going on in your brain? Like, to me, I'm like, I think about, like, the little, like, symbol monkey. Like, is that what's playing at that time? And you guys just like, like, doing your thing? Yeah. It just is wild to me. you know i just want to ask them, like, are you being silent or silenced? Yeah, or silenced. Like, which one is it? Because... You can tell us. One, you can trust me. Two, like...

Speaker: I'd like to try that. What's that like?

Speaker: They can silence me too. I i mean, fine just it's fine. It's fine. I'll take it. Again, is is that like a payment you do or, but you know, i was talking um with like my neighbors and we were talking about this because again, and we all like feel it. Right. And they're like, there it should be, there should be like a button. Like when you're, when you know that your family's complete, You you don't want to have like childbearing years. You're done. You should just be able to turn it off like an on and off.

Speaker: You know, um or just like in general, like like my suggestion, not that anyone's listening, but if someone was listening, like this should just be a quarterly thing. Why can't we have why can't we experience this quarterly?

Speaker: Like I would be willing to accept this as a quarterly rate. To whom it may concern. To whom it may concern. I know we're kind of way past that, but i don't know. just Just a food for thought for anyone who'd like to work on the future children of America.

Speaker: i think that's all Down the line. Because you know what? While they're doing that, you mentioned it earlier about your your hair. like Can we also... like Men don't have to worry about this. like This hair...

Speaker: How old, how old do you think there's a lot of dry shampoo in here? Oh my God. I think a little flake just fell out. How old do you think this hair is? Well, to me, it honestly doesn't look that bad compared to what mine looks like a wet rat. Um, I'm going to give you a week.

Speaker: a week. Yeah. I watched it last Monday and it survived. I mean, it survived a lot. It survived a lot. It survived. That was two, three more, two more nights in Nashville.

Speaker: It survived a birthday dinner. It survived a ah girl's book club. Like it's, it's been, it's, It's got to go tonight. It's due diligence. What is it? Due diligence? Yes. It ran its course. its It's served its purpose. And she's got to go. But yeah, can we just like add that to the list as well of like. Please. Complaints.

Speaker: Complaints. And you know what? I'm grateful. Happy to be alive. Grateful would be here. Blessed. I don't to sound like I'm complaining. No. But these are just suggestions to take into consideration.

Speaker: In the suggestion box, if you will. In the suggestion box. Yeah. From all women of the world. We speak on behalf of all of us. Literally every single person. like Unless you truly love this feeling, and then I'm happy for you. like What's it like?

Speaker: What's it like? Because... I don't love it. It makes me – it gives me the sads because it's like – it's truly – I truly feel like body dysmorphia, dude. Like I literally feel like I'm looking in the mirror and it's like – it's like what's that movie? It was – what was that movie? Yeah.

Speaker: um shallow hat Shallow how? Shallow how? It's literally shallow how vibes, you guys. You're terrible. You're terrible. That's what I see. I'm not kidding. That's literally when I rise in the morning and I think I'm feeling okay and then I turn on the light and what I see in the mirror, shallow how. That's literally what I Peering back at me. And not him. What was her name? Her name was Mary, I think, right? Mary?

Speaker: I don't. shallow Hold on. shall i don't know I don't remember her name. Characters. That was funny because it was because it was jack Jack Black, right? Jack Black. It was Jack Black, yeah. when pal tro And her name was Rosemary.

Speaker: Rosemary. Rosemary Shanahan. That's who I see, you guys. I see Rosemary. So funny. i forgot that was Gwyneth Paltrow.

Speaker: That was Gwyneth. And we all know what Gwyneth looks like. I mean, come on. I would kill. i would kill. Yeah. would kill. But I'm not seeing, I'm not, now ask me next week, I'll be seeing Gwyneth in the mirror.

Speaker: But right now, I'm seeing Rosemary Shanahan. Rosemary, is that you, sweetie? You? Like, stop it. Get out of my mind.

Speaker: Anyways, yeah, I speak for all women of America. so the world world the world universe the world galaxy now i'm gonna be on my like woman's soapbox because i was thinking about because we were doing chitty chats i oh i know if it was me i want to bring up is um how often have you traveled alone um like flight wise like on an airplane like do you by myself yeah um let me see How many times have we gone to New york city York City?

Speaker: Like five? Three to four? okay plus so Plus Hawaii, plus Nashville. um I mean, I've traveled. I've gone to Vegas. So decent amount times. So in those amount of times, and this this goes, I can make an argument for for both ways.

Speaker: If you have had like a carry-on bag that you're putting up in the overhead, how many times has a man, male figure offered to help you put that in the bin.

Speaker: And say out of the 10 times, say and it's a total of 10 times, I'd probably say once. So this is my, and this is where we, people can differ. Right. It's like, I don't want you to think I need help, but I also find it like, I think it's so kind when I see someone like, so like get up out of their seats who does and say like, Hey, can I help? Can you help you with that? And I've had that a handful of times. Like, listen, if I'm carrying it on it's heavy.

Speaker: It is loaded down. to the it's it's heavy so getting it and i already have back issues so getting it up and i'm so short that getting it up and like just over the lip of that bin is actually really hard for me because i'm so short and i'd say probably half because i've decently traveled by myself not that much but like a decent amount of times i'd say probably half the amount of time people have done it but as of late i'd say that probably the past like year or two years I've traveled, no one has offered. And I'm not going to say that, like sit there and be like, Hey, can you like, can you help me with this? like yes. If it's like a hundred pounds, sure. Um, I don't know. How do you feel about that? Like, cause I see both ways, right? Like, I don't want you to think that I'm weak, right? Like, I don't want you to be like, here, let me help you because like, I know you can lift it. I think it's more just like a gentleman thing.

Speaker: to do. Yeah. um What are your thoughts? don't know. It kind of bugged me. it kind of It kind of just like bugged me on the last trip I was just on. I was like, I feel like I'm seeing this a lot lately where men are just kind of like twiddling their thumbs. Well, I hate to break this to you and I hate to be the one to tell you this because I thought this was a common ground thing that women just learn to accept. But chivalry is dead.

Speaker: Okay. It died. Like it was, I thought you were going to tell me some fact of like, I don't know. Rules of the air. Like you can't, I don't know. Chilvery is literally dead. And then two, there's so many people now. Like you have to also, like I'm going to be devil's advocate here because like you have to think about it this way too. Like people probably don't offer to help anymore because everyone is so opinionated.

Speaker: And God forbid you accidentally touched a hand or like it it you shoved it in too hard. Or something cracked. Like everyone is so freaking opinionated. Like no one can just appreciate the gentle kindness of someone just trying to do a ah a friendly act, you know? So I really think people are just afraid to help at this point.

Speaker: That is so true. You're so right. i know. because people um Because people do. People like to make the biggest deal out of anything and turn an issue from like nothing into like something. So it's so true. But I was just like thinking about it. I'm like, I feel like.

Speaker: Because people used to like, oh, and I'm like, oh my God, thank you so much. And then I would go and get out of my seat. That same person like, hey, let me get this for you. Like kind of like beginning and like, you know, like doing both. but mean That's so nice. But I have felt like as of late, I haven't gotten out. Then again, you have the other end of the spectrum. Like I just said, some people are like, just are you viewing me as like, I can't lift up my own right bags?

Speaker: But for me, I'm like, yeah, lift that up there. yeah i don't want to do it. I have no issue with you doing it. Yeah. So and i was just i amount I truly don't even think it's that. I don't think it's people. It's people being like if I, God forbid, I like bump something and it scratches the suitcase and then you broke my suitcase. You know, like, oh, my God. Like he was just trying to be nice, like help you out. Like and that on top of she'll worry being dead. Like, yeah. Yeah.

Speaker: Bang. those are love them but Both of them. That's my thoughts on that. I'm going to start wearing or like maybe I'll put on my suitcase like yes, you can help me. Like, yes, you can. yes yeah Like the shirt, ask me about my wiener. Please help me. Ask to help me. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. Oh, my gosh. It's true. It's sad, but it's true, you guys. What a life we live in. Where we just have to suffer through the luteal phase and nobody helps us anymore. We're on our own. We're on our own.

Speaker: We're truly on our own out here. Just trying our best as Rosemary Shanahan's. you know say Just a bunch of Rosemary's out here doing our best. Doing our best. Drinking presidential wines.

Speaker: on i The way I would go back in time and sit in a board meeting with Jefferson and Washington and Phillips And Benjamin Franklin discussing this wine. I would love it. I would not be able to keep a straight face. One, because of like their wigs. And two, like think about, think about back then, right?

Speaker: Think about what they probably, what their clothes probably looked like, what they probably smelled like. Their teeth were probably a little bit nasty. um Like these like great men were probably like a little gross looking.

Speaker: No. Oh my gosh. I would totally come and I would come with like hair supplies and dry shampoo. Just be I'm about to change y'all's wigs life. Like, let me show you what we've got in the future. Yeah.

Speaker: And also this is called deodorant. but like Here, use some yeah clinical strength. Literally. And you know what i would do? I would actually bring them the natural one. That way we can all just start on the natural journey of deodorant and nobody has to go through the detox phase. Yeah.

Speaker: We just go straight blank. But you know what? I will be i will say this fairly. Nothing. I will say the aluminum works. Okay. Some people need to stick to the aluminum and that's okay.

Speaker: That's okay. I, I thankfully, I mean, my, it's not an issue, but like my thing is like, I have to make sure I wear it every day because if not, I do smell. like that's what yeah like i mean sometimes i wake up smelling like i got hot in my sleep yeah like why yes gross why but back when i was putting the aluminum aluminum aluminum whatever you say um i could go like three days on one one swipe like those cancer cells or whatever is in there freaking worked man yeah it worked i don't know what i was killing in my armpit

Speaker: Jesus, yeah. Now I got to. Oh, no, every day, all the time. Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter if I'm. Double ply, you know what I'm saying? Like sticking little aluminum foils in there. Yeah, I don't i don't know what it is, but.

Speaker: it now I have to like it has to be every day and maybe it's because like this is a deodorant and not an antiperspirant I don't know there's a difference yes there's a difference there's a difference so I want to try that carp brand carpe carp car that's what that's what Greg uses yeah that's the brand I want to try that one next that is a I believe Because that's an antiperspirant. I believe that one is an antiperspirant. Yes. Yes.

Speaker: That is antiperspirant. Because you use wild, right? I use wild. Same. And wild is just a deodorant. It is not an antiperspirant. So I'm interested. it just helps with the smell.

Speaker: Correct. Correct. The other one, yes. So the other one would be helps with the sweating and smell. Helps control like the sweat factor. But it's got some flavors, man. Coconut, vanilla. Some scent. Cucumber mint.

Speaker: Fresh powder. Mountain breeze. Rose water. This is not an ad, by the way. Unless they want it to be. Because please send me some deodorant. Because... Because we can do that. Go natural and cheat. So I'll take it.

Speaker: I'll take it. But anyways, enough babbling about me. What's going on over there? We started off with, how's it going over there? And I just went down a deep spiral of feminism, you know?

Speaker: Well, I tapped into dude saying, people need to pick up my suitcase on planes. I'm weak. It's going great. I mean, 36 doesn't feel any different than 35.

Speaker: You know, it's our mid-30s, baby. we can We can live life. I know. Live, laugh, love. love Live, laugh, love, baby. Yeah. Things are good. Kids are doing great in school. ah I got Aubrey's senior pictures back and then I got her professional graduation photos back. And there's feels that I am feeling.

Speaker: She's got homecoming coming up, um you know, um all the things. Mm-hmm. Lots of senior things. We've got dates, too, like, dates for all of her, like, testing. And we're just waiting for her graduation date.

Speaker: Yeah. And she only gets certain amount of tickets. Yeah. And so I told her, I was like, listen, as soon as you guys find out the date, I need you to start ripping tickets. getting I will pay people for any extra tickets they're not using. Literally. Because they give her eight, and I need at least eight more.

Speaker: so That's where I'm sitting. We need 16. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. But you know there's always those people that like have family that won't travel or something like that. Sure. So. Sure. There's always there's always people we're not going show.

Speaker: Yes. like from a friend group right like oh it's just my mom and dad are coming i'm like okay we're gonna have your leftovers right i want your leftovers so like you have to get in people's ears now of like hey when the time comes like yeah keep me as your girl that i need eight extra tickets because we're gonna have like we're gonna have a a squad gonna have a squad there i don't know where they do it but do they have maybe like uh what's it called um can we purchase the the suite yeah

Speaker: I would actually, that would be, could you imagine? ah No. First of all, she wouldn't let us come in. ah She wouldn't let us come. She would not let us come. They do it at the fairgrounds, which I'm like, what? But everybody's, everyone in Hillsborough County, that's where their graduation is. So it's outdoors.

Speaker: No, no. It's inside. It's inside. They have, pill they have pavilions, not pavilions. They have buildings there. Okay. Okay. So yeah, it's at the fairgrounds. And again, everybody in Hillsborough County has it at the same place. Yeah. But yeah, I was counting the number that she gets and then the number that we're going to need, like at a bare minimum of what we're going need. And I was like, okay, so we need double what we're actually going to be able to get.

Speaker: So have to figure that out by May. yeah. Well, the moment those tickets get released, baby, time for Aubrey to start asking around, who's not using tickets with a megaphone?

Speaker: Yeah. Or like at the stadiums before games. Need ticket? Need ticket? Got got grad tickets? Got grad tickets? grad tickets? so yes So, yeah, that's just, you know, that's just taking over my mind and...

Speaker: all the second grade things for Kennedy. We're prepping now for her first communion. I've got her signed up for that. And then, um, you know, Charlie, you guys sweet as can be, but she, she, I love when she drinks, brings home like pictures and stuff, but she, um, she brought home a picture the other day and the teacher like my family portrait. And i was like, Oh, what like, what is that on there?

Speaker: She was a butterfly.

Speaker: Just a butterfly. That's the family portrait? Just a butterfly. Just a butterfly was on there. So that's the family portrait. Mm-hmm. Her family, she identifies as a butterfly. As as a butterfly. So I'm just a little worried about, like, we're not drawing just, like, a family, just just a family on there, at least yourself. Just at least put you on there. i was like, oh, my gosh, what is this? This is so cute. She's like, a butterfly. i was like, what?

Speaker: That's the family. Loud and clear, my girl. Loud and clear. like, have no family. Just this butterfly. Just the butterfly that's outside the window. So she's she's something else. Classic, classic Charlie. Classic girly. Love So yeah, nothing too crazy um crazy going on here. I'm trying to think of anything like coming up. But you guys, life.

Speaker: Life is lifing. I've already got things for next year, kind of like trying to plan them out as far as like any work stuff that I know about, like travel wise. I think I'm finally getting Aubrey to do a spring break next year, which you know about. Fingers crossed.

Speaker: ah Fingers crossed. I'm trying to get her and do to do a spring break next year. So um I'm like trying to like look ahead, but I can't. I'm like, yeah, you know never know.

Speaker: no you can only block the dates and put question that's what do i block it and put question marks in front like it's either gonna happen or not number right at least if i know if i look at it i'm like okay that's a possibility there like let's try not to plan anything around that so so yeah lot of times good i know yeah just living the dreams over here living the dreams with philip and like philip and like george I love it. But I wouldn't say I'm as, what is it, an ace of all, jack of all trades, an ace of none, jack of all trades or something like that.

Speaker: Jack of all trades. Yeah. I would not say that I that versed as guy Philip is here with all the things that he did and was.

Speaker: yeah I mean, the royal advisor part's pretty sweet, but. I would love, could you imagine me as a royal advisor? You would be the biggest gossip. I would tell everyone everything. I would be fired so many times, but somehow measle my way back in I would somehow be able to remain in my job.

Speaker: But i will say I am a very good secret keeper. So certain secrets I do keep and I do not tell. But if I know this is common knowledge and someone else has already spoken, happy to tell you all about it.

Speaker: you know what I'm saying? You would be, you know, when you hear news stories, like source close, source close to the couple says that they've been having issues for months and be like, Jamina would be the source. I am the source because once it's out in the open, sure. Happy to spread what my knowledge is. But until then i keep secrets pretty good.

Speaker: Okay. Speaking, do you have like a, do you have like a decent secret that you're holding in right now? Oh gosh, I wish. Oh, i was like, do you have secret? No, I was like, do you have a secret that you're holding in right now? Like I wouldn't, i I mean, we can't blast it, but like. No, i wouldn't blast it, but like, I wish I did. i wish I had something good.

Speaker: i' Always juicy. Always juicy. And you know what guys, by the time this gets released, and this is the final topic I'm going to bring up. Okay, tell me. I know, it's Um, the final half of four record, cause I know we're, we're pushing it in our chitty chats here. yeah Um, but by the time this comes out, let's all hope that there has been a verdict to the Lindsay Clancy case.

Speaker: Yes. I'm actually glad that you brought this up because we talked about it during pop culture. And I just wanted to circle back before we like dive into that just for a quick second. i want to circle back to I feel like people have now us included, have grasped onto this case as a like, whodunit.

Speaker: And like, we still have to realize that like three children still were like, Unaligned. Yes. there you have to watch You have to watch what you say. You'll be censored. So I try to be careful about that kind of stuff. um Very, very tragically.

Speaker: yeah And I felt like when we talked about it listened back, I was like, oh, I feel like we were more so like, oh, this like this happened and this is this. And that's where you're hearing that. yeah like that's all That's all over the place. that Everyone is like, for you know. But i like we also, like, all as a collective peoples need to remember that, like,

Speaker: It's also so tragic what happened to these three three children. And now babies. Literally babies. But I see why it's getting into this, like, rabbit hole. Because there is so much to uncover with this. And i think that's why everyone's so drawn to it. Because these things have started coming out, like, throughout this trial. Yeah. um And you you want to know the truth. Like, I don't know if we'll ever know the truth. But, like, you...

Speaker: want to know what the hell actually happened. Yeah. I think honestly, too, the reason why it seems so like cited and like the big picture is not really being presented multiple times, which is of course what happened to these precious babies, but it's, we want justice, right? Whoever, no one should ever touch a child, no matter in what sense. So I think people just want justice and they want the person who did this to pay, to pay for what happened to what to know the truth of what happened and to pay for what they did. So I think that's why where it gets all mixed up and people get so like deep into like whodunit.

Speaker: Because at the source of the story is no one should hurt something so innocent, something who literally knows that there's zero that there's zero evil that exists.

Speaker: Like no one. yeah like yeah So that person deserves... to serve at or whatever needs to happen to them happen. You know what I mean? Like the justice on that side needs to happen because yeah, it's so sad. Like the core of the story is so sad.

Speaker: And i think more of your story yeah I think that's why people are so invested because like whoever needs to pay needs to pay for, it for those three but precious babies. And just like in general, like anyone that does that to any sort of baby, like pedophiles, repists. Disgusting.

Speaker: Don't get me started on Epstein. And those weren't really babies. Those were, yeah I mean, they were teens. consider yeah Consider those still babies. So just things like that, you know, like people just want them to pay. And I'm with you.

Speaker: I think they should pay. yeah And i think I think regardless of what the verdict is, again, it's going to hopefully come out by the time this is out. um it's going to be a mental prison for everyone involved.

Speaker: Everyone that saw it, every person that answered the call, from the person that answered the call to the the last person to care for them. you know like This will forever be a mental prison for them.

Speaker: So it's a lose-lose no matter what in my eyes. you know Very sad. Very sad. Can't believe it's coming to an and after five weeks. Can you imagine being a juror?

Speaker: on there. No, I really cannot imagine

Speaker: because they have to like seclude themselves almost, right? Like they have to, they have to seclude themselves. So I just can't imagine for something that's going on for so long and it being such a hope, high profile case, case experiencing that.

Speaker: I think if I remember correctly, I think it's nine women and two men on the jury. And i think there were others, but like after you go through a case, they dismiss certain people. Could you imagine having to sit through five weeks of this and then being the juror that gets excused?

Speaker: I would be like. Like send me my check in the mail. Here's my address. a What? After all that, I would be like, I would have to be taken out by security, screaming my final thoughts to my fellow jurors of what I think should be discussed. Yeah. It was Patrick. Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah. But I did hear that they um they had a question and they wanted to see the knife or something like that. They wanted to see the bottles and then the some of the pill bottles and the knife, which I was i was like, riddle me. like Why are they wanting to see that? I i still haven't fully figured that one out. Many people are like theorizing, of course. But I yeah couldn't figure that out why they wanted to see some of the pill bottles and then the knife.

Speaker: So I saw something that was like, of course, I'm sure it's like a theory, but it was like, I think the jury wants to see the knife because they're still not convinced who did it.

Speaker: And the the knife is part of. a weapon that was used on her he they're like i don't know but what would you get out honestly you guys to be fair as well i think they both had great closing arguments the both lawyers but i would need an entire like cliff notes recap like show me everything again because there's been a lot said and i don't remember shit ah so much like i don't know how notes they've got to take notes

Speaker: right? i don't know. i i don't know. actually not I would get everything so twisted and like everything was like all the, everything was sort combining in my brain.

Speaker: Well, I just get amazed at, I mean, both sides when they go up and do those closing arguments and it's one long mark monologue, they're not, I mean, I didn't see them looking, they're not looking at a paper. Like this is all here. yeah and I mean, rightfully so, like this is it I mean, any case, you have to know it, right? Like, you have to know it front to back, back to front.

Speaker: But it's like they just – it's insane to me how much knowledge these lawyers have and attorneys have when they go up and do those closing arguments stuff like that, right? Because when they're, like, when they're like ah questioning a witness, like, they have their notes. They kind of know where they want to go.

Speaker: And it's a back and forth when it's a closing arguments. It's like literally one long monologue. And I just find it so crazy. I'm like, you guys are really smart. mar You remember a lot.

Speaker: Yeah. But I didn't see. Listen, I didn't see Philip. It was it was his one of his careers, a lawyer. uh probably diplomat or something like political activist maybe historian no i mean diplomatic agent well maybe they called it don't know they called it something else back in the day i don't know phil yeah who knows but i am how how are you like i see taking a little sip there so how are we liking the wine are we feeling we're heading in the directions of a corking now we're heading in the directions of a corking and again

Speaker: We've been flying high these past, what, this is the fifth the fifth episode of the season? We're flying high. We got literally crawl across the floor in the back of the shelf and pick something soon. Well, I did see those $3.99 ABC wines.

Speaker: I just, i I need to know. I need a crack one open. I need to know. Why do they have 4.8 stars? Multiple reviews. For $3.99, I find that hard to believe.

Speaker: No, you i bet you they're rating it after they' they've had a few and they're rating it and then they wake up the next morning like, shit, I can't delete my stars. Yeah, my mistakes for married. They can't remove their review. so it's so like you said, we're definitely going to a boxed wine at some point this season. We just got to figure out when the heck we're going to.

Speaker: connect to do it because we got to slap the bag for that one. Slap the box, if you will. Slap in the bag, slap in the box. Do you think you know what your cork is for this wine? I think so. i think I have a solid number in play.

Speaker: Do you? Okay. I think I do as well. It's really good. What was our other red that we did? it was a Malbec. Yes. I think it was a Malbec. Yeah. It was from Argentina. Mm-hmm.

Speaker: Yes, the B wine. That was, um I did love that one. Let's get the notes out. That one was good. Yes.

Speaker: The Malbec. When do we do the Malbec? Oh, yeah. That was an 8887. That was pop culture. Well, we. Yeah.

Speaker: I mean, we've we've been in the higher eights. We've been having really good wines. So. Yeah. Okay. I mean. This one's good. Do you, do you think, you know, where you're sitting with this? Yeah. Don't look at the notes. Cause i just put it Okay. I will not look at the notes. I almost opened it back up. I want to look in the notes. Are you going first or am I going first?

Speaker: I can Should we say it at the same time? you say the same time Do you feel, you, do you feel like we're like in sync right now or now? do you feel like we're kind of off? I think we're going to be point one off.

Speaker: I just made that up in my head. I think yeah. I point one point two. I think we might be point one point two off. Okay. Okay. Ready? What are we going to you going to get set? Go. We always, are you market set? Go or one, two, three. Okay. Wait, which one are doing? I think since sortre we're saying a number, it should be on your market set. Go.

Speaker: Okay. So you say it. so you're going say on your market set, go. And then we're going to say the number. Yeah. And you say your number. All right. Ready? Three hours later. Yeah. Okay. Ready? All right. On your mark.

Speaker: wait you're not are you ready yes yeah okay okay you talked so i panicked i thought you said it on accident okay on your mark get set go 8.4 was right 0.1 i thought it was i thought for some reason i thought we were gonna be like 0.2 off this time i don't know i wasn't feeling your synergy as much this time it's but Putting it out there. Yeah, mine was 8-3.

Speaker: It's a good wine. right it is It is a really good wine. And listen, are you guys kidding me? Can you imagine showing up with this wine and being like, so let me tell you about George Washington. they'd be like, what?

Speaker: Like a little history lesson with this? You know what? cool This would be fun, you guys. I'm going give everybody a like theme party idea. Have a Founding Fathers theme party and bring this wine.

Speaker: Everybody has to dress as a Founding Father. Yes, I love those. I think they're so funny. They're hysterical. They're so funny. We should host one. Let's host a founding father's party.

Speaker: Yeah. I don't know what you do. And I probably wouldn't be very good at it again because I'm not really like, mean, I think would like the Like, what mean? What do you do? We literally started this off with the president's boogie. That's literally what I Can imagine?

Speaker: That's what everybody's coming into. and then they're coming into like, I'm just a bill. Yeah, I'm only a bill. Something on Capitol Hill. Hill. That's another one, you guys. I hope they're showing this to children. They are.

Speaker: Kids do not understand these days. Kids do not understand. And we live elite time. Elite. Elite. Elite.

Speaker: When we're listening to I'm just a bill and the president's boogie. And honestly, I will say, I will give credit. I really do wish Hamilton was around around around that time because I learned a lot from Hamilton.

Speaker: Not going lie. That should be added into the script. Same. I feel like, well, i feel I've learned everything about that. Like, I didn't know any of that stuff. Not that my, I just like was never, I could never grasp history. Like, i I feel like I would really like it now. And my sister's probably like listening to this being like, oh my God, because she teaches history. And she loves everything about it. And she's very smart when it comes to this stuff. I just could never grasp it in school.

Speaker: and i think now it really would really interest me. But, like, I'm not going back and learning. No. Please. I'm good. Please. That part of my brain cells have, like, shifted and sailed. Damn it. Yeah, they've probably fizzled away, and to be honest. So I think we're good.

Speaker: think we're done there. But Founding Fathers Party, bring this wine. we'll you know what? When we finally do it, you guys, we'll give you ah a you know we'll give you a recap. on the podcast.

Speaker: So, but as for this episode, that's a wrap. That's our show. That is all the George and Philip we have for today. Thank you so much for listening. Don't forget to rate and review us on whatever platform you're listening on. As always tell all your friends and keep on whining.

Speaker: Cheers.
