World Premiere Announcement: Total Evisceration
00:01:06
Speaker
Yes, I said the world premiere. oh Total evisceration. And woo, very, very happy to put this on for y'all tonight.
00:01:20
Speaker
Total evisceration featuring Hot Take Jake and myself. We will take three topics, sports, music, culture, whatever it may be. Tonight's going to be sports and music. And we are going to bring it to you tonight. We are going to go live head-to-head tonight.
00:01:37
Speaker
ah Him and I, we're going to argue about these topics. It's going to be so much fun. So before you get that State of the Union address from President Donald Trump tonight, which is going to be heated between the conservatives and the liberals, the Democrats and the Republicans, I'm excited. going to get my popcorn. Make sure that you tune in to me versus Hot Take Jake. That'll be your trailer for the State of the Union tonight. Total evisceration coming to you in just about 45 minutes. But first, let's kick this.
US Winter Olympics Performance Analysis
00:02:07
Speaker
bad boy off. All right. Well, first of all, we got to give it to you. What just ended just yesterday, the winter Olympics. Yes, you see it. That is your final gold medal tally right there for your wimppe winter Olympics. Excuse me. And Hey,
00:02:29
Speaker
The United States. How y'all think we did? How y'all think we did? hey we ain't do too shabby. Look, we ain't Scandinavian. We ain't Vikings. What are we? We ain't meant to be outdoors.
00:02:43
Speaker
I mean, I mean, if anything, Americans, what are we known as lazy? Probably around the world. I don't know. that's probably what they think of us. um which is not a too far off statement. It's pretty accurate for most of us. I would even include myself in that statement, even though I just got back from the gym, I would still consider myself to be pretty lazy. um But anyways, that's neither here nor there.
00:03:04
Speaker
33 medals for the United States, second behind Norway. So, hey, we only lost to one of the ah you know Nordic countries.
00:03:16
Speaker
I didn't think we would beat any of the Nordic countries. That's not true. I did think we'd beat some of them, obviously, because the United States, we have a lot more athletes because we have a lot more people in general. So even though the majority of us don't live in areas that would allow you to – to appreciate or play a winter sport. Like I'm sure there's some high schools out there that have snowboarding, but you know I didn't go to a school that had that. So, ah you know, that being said, pretty, pretty good showing for the United States.
00:03:48
Speaker
ah But Norway did have the most medals with 41, 18 of those being gold. But Hey, United States, again, second most goals with 12, second most overall with 33.
00:04:00
Speaker
three So salute to the United States athletes who went out there and put it all on the line. We are so super proud of you. I'm going to give a shout out to a few of them here before we move on. ah But first of all, I mean, hey, we got we got to clip this for the socials to make sure that they know that we appreciate these United States Olympic athletes.
Tribute to Lindsey Vonn
00:04:23
Speaker
athletes First of all, let's start off with one of our favorites, longtime favorite Olympian. um You know, she unfortunately... went through a lot with this final Olympics. She tried to put it all on the line. And for that, we will forever love her.
00:04:42
Speaker
Lindsey Vaughn, one of our most heralded and awarded Olympians in the United States. We have loved her for a long, long time. She has gone out there Olympics after Olympics and put it all on the line.
00:04:59
Speaker
um to the point where she has suffered so many gruesome leg injuries. And unfortunately, while going for it all again, going for the gusto, she unfortunately hurt herself again in pursuit of glory. She came out and actually said that she almost lost her left leg, that the doctor, if they wouldn't have been there on the scene, which, by the way,
00:05:26
Speaker
Just to let you know, they were only there on the scene because she had just torn her ACL the week before, and they wanted to be there in case something medically crazy happened, which it almost didn't. Thank God that it didn't.
00:05:40
Speaker
ah Because obviously no one wants to lose their leg and as many injuries as they've had. Yeah, that's something that she had to necessarily be worried about. And I can tell you from personal experience, as I broke my tibia, I fractured my tibia a couple years ago.
00:05:58
Speaker
And it was to the point where the doctors were like, you know, you got to make sure the swelling is going down. If not, you can possibly lose your legs. So this is something that happens with a tibia injury. but especially for her who's been through so many of these injuries. And again, I've been through a tibia broken leg so i can i can and torn ACL, so I can empathize with her, and I certainly do. And prayers up to her for a full and successful recovery. And um I mean, again, she knew it was probably going to be her last Olympics. um i I would have to assume at this point she'd probably have to you know just ride it off into the sunset as –
00:06:36
Speaker
next time could be a full, you know, it's amputation. And we definitely do not want to see that at all. So, but, you know, salute to Lindsey Vonn. Thank you for everything that you gave us.
00:06:48
Speaker
um Moving on to other ones.
Olympic Hockey Success
00:06:51
Speaker
How about our hockey teams? Yes, the men and women's both won gold. USA, USA, USA, yeah.
00:07:03
Speaker
The men and women hockey teams both won gold. And while the women dominated the whole entire Olympics, and so we kind of were hoping that they were at least going to win, the men were not so much so favored as the Canadians were favored. But no.
00:07:22
Speaker
aye The Americans showed that at least in this Olympics, even though it is a Canadian sport, a European sport, the Americans showed this year that we are the best at the hockey, at the old stick and puck, at the old puck and stick, at the old goalie in the net, at the old Connor.
00:07:43
Speaker
he abu ye by Dick save in a beaut. Whoa. What? What? Stick, shave, and a beaut? And then how about...
00:07:56
Speaker
How about our goal scorers, right? How about the people that actually brought the the glory to these teams? And granted, all of you deserve to be awarded. But Jack Hughes had the golden goal for the men one minute and 41 seconds into a three-on-three overtime.
00:08:21
Speaker
So first of all, um... it wasn't It wasn't really looking that good for the Americans, but the fact that they were able to take it to overtime against the Canadians and then have this amazing goal. What a pass. What an assist set up for the goal just across the ice. Just just beauty. um ah in motion. You know they call soccer the beautiful game kind of thing. Kind of like that. It was just beautiful the way that they put that all together and to beat a Canadian team that has so many superstars, including, ah you know, Connor McDavid, who could be the best player in the world and probably is by most people's opinions right now. So again, shout out to them. The first American men's hockey victory since 1980. And yes, we all know that was the miracle.
00:09:16
Speaker
on ice. And, um and so I'll, I'm actually going to, for all you that are maybe too young for that at
US Olympic Athletes Highlights
00:09:24
Speaker
the end of the episode, I'll play a little clip ah from that game back in 1984, you know, educational purposes ah for y'all youngins that may not have been around, but when we beat the Russians, i mean, I wasn't alive either. didn't even go front like I was. So, but I have seen replays of the game, neither here nor there.
00:09:42
Speaker
The American men did that right. And as well, our American women. Again, this even looked more precarious. What an amazing word for a Puerto Rican on a live TV show. Shout out to my brother, Conan. Get well soon. Prayers up, my brother. um But we were down two one the women were.
00:10:04
Speaker
58 minutes left, and all of a sudden, who comes along but Captain, oh, Captain Hillary Knight. Get over here.
00:10:17
Speaker
thing Pay attention to me. are you always doing that? Anyways, Hillary Knight, y'all, our captain with her 15th career goal at the Olympics to help us win the gold medal. Shout out to Hillary Knight and the rest of the crew out there. We salute Hillary.
00:10:39
Speaker
our men and women's hockey teams, as well a few others that I want to salute from the Olympics. First of all, Michaela Schifrin coming back after a nightmare. She'd been 0-8 since 2018, finally coming back.
00:10:55
Speaker
finally coming back and winning the downhill slalom. Shout out to her. That was amazing. We are happy that she was able to overcome that hurdle that she had been experiencing. Um,
00:11:12
Speaker
How about a couple others? We got to give a shout out. This this is my probably my favorite story of the Olympics for the United States. um Elena Myers Taylor, 41-year-old bobsledder, y'all, 41-year-old bobsledder. And she has two deaf children.
00:11:32
Speaker
So not only was she trying to deal with winning a gold medal all these these you know past 20 years at least, um but also then she was put in a hard situation as ah as a parent in which her children are deaf and she had to learn a whole new way of life And she went about doing that as well as training and winning the gold medal at 41 in what should be, you know, ah most Olympians are are younger. What a salute to Elena Myers Taylor. or Get it, girl. That's what I'm talking about.
00:12:06
Speaker
You deserve all the praise ah in the world. Shout out to aly Alyssa, ah Allison Lou, excuse me, the wonderful figure skater. Oh, no, it is Alyssa, isn't it?
00:12:17
Speaker
Is it Alyssa? Alyssa, excuse me. Woo. You're not messing up her name. Lou, the amazing figure skater, got the great hair going on. She did great. I loved watching her performances. Tremendous. Salute to you.
00:12:30
Speaker
Salute to Elaine Gu, who has dual citizenship with China. ah You know, JD Vance didn't like that. He got his his panties up in ah and up in a wad. But, you know, salute to her for winning the gold as well. And even to...
00:12:45
Speaker
Uh, Ilya Malinin, our male figure skater who came in as a, you know, if you look at NCAA odds, he was like a 16, he was like a one versus a 16, uh, seed.
00:12:58
Speaker
So, but he, he unfortunately was not able to complete the run. He fell down a bunch and did not get it, but Hey, he's only 21 years old. He'll be back. Sometimes the pressure in the Olympics gets to us. Um,
00:13:13
Speaker
So, you know, he'll be back and he'll be fine. And again, the United States just overall winning. Yeah. Shout out to dirty mojo, my brother. Yeah, man.
00:13:23
Speaker
Wow. Wowzers. Yeah, yeah. That's the ah's the Mighty Ducks. I bet you it was a cheeseburger. You stop it. You stop that thing like a cheeseburger. Woo, what a stop by hella button. Back behind the back, stick, save, and mute.
00:13:39
Speaker
And then Jack Hughes. Yeah, salute to all of our or our um our Olympians. Salute to all of them. Now, one thing I do have to say um to the Olympic Committee,
00:13:51
Speaker
If you are going to give out gold medals and give out medals to your Olympic athletes that are
Critique of Olympic Ceremonies
00:13:59
Speaker
competing, fine. Great. We love that. We want to see them get their gold, their their silver, and their bronze.
00:14:06
Speaker
You don't need to be handing out stuffed animals. Why are you handing out stupid stuffed animals? Yo, every single time I watched a medal ceremony and the people got their medals, they were happy to get their medals aside from the Canadian women who were absolutely demolished that they lost the gold medal to the Americans. But that's neither here nor there. But actually, they are part that is here and there because they're part of the reason I say that. They were so pissed.
00:14:33
Speaker
They were so pissed. They got their silver medal, which they were already just like, they were all depressed. They were like, oh, we were supposed to win gold. Like they're all distraught that this happened, but whatever. They got it.
00:14:45
Speaker
And then they got these stupid stuffed animals and they looked at them like they wanted to rip their damn heads off. And so if you look at like most of the time, the bronze and silver people, they're all like, why are you we getting this stupid thing? And even the gold medal people were like,
00:14:59
Speaker
Even the United States, they were like, all right, I'm trying to celebrate a gold medal and you giving me some stupid stuffed animal that you could have just given me some kind of swag bag, some kind of grab bag in the back and left it out my locker.
00:15:11
Speaker
You over here like what? Get out of here. You don't need to be giving me a damn stuffed day animal. i know you want to shake my hand. shake my hand. Okay, give me the medal and shake my hand. And yeah, they may have been a little bit of cry baby issue. You know, the Canadians, our brothers and sisters to the north already don't like us with everything that Donald Trump is doing. We'll see how they think about his State of the Union tonight.
00:15:35
Speaker
By the way, y'all check out Ball in the Buds, State of the Union, total evisceration coming to you here in 30 minutes. I take Jake versus the sports professor. But ah yeah, you know, hey, they weren't very happy that they lost the medal and they were even more pissed that you handed me some stupid stuffed animal.
00:15:51
Speaker
Like I'm already mad enough you're giving me a silver medal. I don't want this dumb stuffed animal. So anyways, just hilarious. Oh, by the way, shout out to everybody watching on IG. Jen Jones, my girl. I hope see you at Country Box next week as well, my brother.
00:16:04
Speaker
Yes. Papi, tune. What's good, my brother? i see you tuned in there on IG. Thank you for tuning in. so yeah, that's a salute to all of our Olympians there.
Ski Jumping Conspiracy and Olympic Viewership
00:16:15
Speaker
By the way, did you hear about the little, ah the um the ski jumpers conspiracy where there were some penile injections to make the area bigger in the groin? It would give you more wingspan in your suit.
00:16:32
Speaker
Apparently, Every two centimeter change in the suit, by the way, y'all, this is your sports professor stat for this because this is crazy. Think about this. For every two centimeter change in their suit, which is a lot, I mean, and which is a very little, excuse me, not a lot, which is a very little, two centimeters, right?
00:16:51
Speaker
So they get these penile injections. They get a little grown for a couple minutes. It goes away after a while. They get fitted for their suits. They get fitted a little extra.
00:17:02
Speaker
Two centimeters, y'all, gives you an extra 5.8 meters. No wonder people were trying to get these injections. Two centimeters gives you the length of a car extra in a jump, my dog.
00:17:18
Speaker
Yes. Yes. They were going out. They're getting the penile injections. It's giving them a little extra ah pause, girth.
00:17:29
Speaker
And wow, massive pause on that reckless that I said it even after I knew I was going to say it. 5.8 meters. They can jump almost the length of a car extra because of these injections.
00:17:44
Speaker
Craziness. Craziness. Where can I go? stupid Stupid. Y'all tap in with my boy, Wildcar Mar. He always doing big things. He is the hardest working man in the streaming game. He streams every day and every night.
00:18:01
Speaker
If you love sports, get with my man, Wildcar Mar. Subscribe at Wildcar Mar and at IOW Sports Network, 4035, both YouTube. both on youtube Yeah, man. Asking for a friend. Right. Right. I see. I asked this i see. Hey, hey, ain't never had no complaints over on this end. So that's all I'm going to say. yeah ah But I appreciate you tapping in, my brother. um Shout out to Electro Horse, my brother, world famous DJ tuning in on ah the IG. I'm sure he was watching the Olympic Games. So anyways, yeah, we're talking about that ski jumping conspiracy. Pretty crazy. Viewership pretty good for the Olympics, though. NBC said they off they averaged 23.5 million viewers.
00:18:43
Speaker
Pretty damn good for the Olympics. That's some ah that some pretty good shit. That's an NFL kind of playoff game numbers. And now there was favorable the time difference. They were in Milan this time. Plus, by the way, I mentioned this last time, Nielsen has new ways they do ratings with their new big data plus panel, which is incorporates more streaming, incorporates more out of home markets and things like that. So,
00:19:08
Speaker
Hey, the ratings did it good. ah Stupid, Dirty Mojo. He said Mar trying to kill him with them injections. Penile injections is wild, son. That is wild. But anyways, shout out to our men and women hockey gold medalists. We really appreciate everything you did there. All right.
Mayweather vs. Pacquiao Rematch Discussion
00:19:33
Speaker
it on. ah We know that the NBA and NHL has been out. So these are the same rankings that you saw last week. Now they have had a few NBA games. So there is one change here.
00:19:43
Speaker
You will see if you remember last week, Denver Nuggets were in fifth. They have now gone to six in the NBA.com power rankings. Boston Celtics have moved up to five with the ah with the with the pig-tailed Irishman there. Atlas, you're killing me, bro. Killing me. So I'm not going to go through these again this week because I did these last week, but I did just want to give you an update of what we're looking at going into the week coming up with NHL getting restarted and then the NBA coming down the stretch.
00:20:14
Speaker
um Oh, there was – One actual change, which now that I'm looking at it, I forgot to i forgot to do this. It did change after last night. This is from yesterday. San Antonio beat Pistons last night. What a game if you weren't watching it. Hell of a game. San Antonio is proving that they are legit, y'all, and they beat the the young and up-and-coming Pistons last night in a great, great game. San Antonio Spurs are actually number one in your power rankings, so I apologize for having that.
00:20:46
Speaker
Mixed up there. Let's move on to your NCAA March Madness power rankings. As you see here, your men, Duke at number one, Arizona Wildcats at number two, Michigan, shout out my brother Clutch B at number three, Iowa State at number four, and the Houston Cougars at number five. You look over to your women's on the top five right, UConn at number one. Ignore how AI created the horrible image. That is not UConn's logo. hilarious. Really trying to avoid the copyrights there, I guess, or trademarks rather. UCLA, shout out to my Lady Bruins.
00:21:24
Speaker
A clap. UCLA. UCLA. Fight, fight, fight. um And then South Carolina at number three. Vanderbilt at number four over Texas. This is a change as of yesterday or today as well because Vanderbilt put an ass whooping on Texas last night. They tried to come here to Nashville at The lady Commodore said no.
00:21:48
Speaker
And Michaela Blakely took out Texas and Madison Buckley. Wait, I think I just mixed their names together because they're both M and B. Damn it. I keep doing that. I did that last week with the two girls. I'm sorry, ladies. I need to get your names correct. I apologize.
00:22:05
Speaker
Two ballers. That's your NCAA women rankings. All right, let's move it into a little bit of your mixed bag here. Folks, got a couple more notes before we get you out of here. First of all, Mayweather Pacquiao, what year are we in?
00:22:22
Speaker
Is this 10 years ago? And did you see Ronda Rousey and Gina Carina Tyson Fury is coming back this summer? Man, I don't know going on. I don't know. But Mayweather, Pacquiao, going for number two 11 years after their last fight. It's getting desperation status, y'all. It doesn't look good, old people. Okay? We know y'all trying to hold on.
00:22:44
Speaker
Why does Floyd Mayweather need to keep doing this? I know he got money. I know he got money. Because as as purportedly and allegedly dumb as he is, and he seems not to be the smartest guy in the world, he knows how to ah properly have people invest his money. That's what he does know with.
00:23:02
Speaker
So he properly invented. i can't be broke, right? So why the hell is he doing this? I know Manny Pacquiao. I mean, he got a lot of jobs. Maybe he broke. Maybe he got a lot of kids too. I don't know. Either way, that need to go. i don't know what you're doing there, homie, but you need to take that
MLB and WNBA Labor Agreements Update
00:23:15
Speaker
somewhere else. um ah In baseball,
00:23:19
Speaker
The Players Association Executive Director Tony Clark has resigned. This comes ahead of the Major League Baseball having their union agreement coming up and them needing to figure it out. This is a huge fracture. We will have to keep you updated and let you know what happens with the MLB and WNBA labor agreements. They said if they do not come to an agreement by March 10th,
00:23:44
Speaker
for the WNBA, the season will have to be either delayed or completely cut because they need to still have the expansion draft for their two new WNBA teams, as well as have a free agency period.
00:23:59
Speaker
Finally, and some final news, shout out to Michael Jordan and winning the Daytona 500. This is actually from last week. but I was unable to get it in last week.
Michael Jordan's Daytona 500 Victory
00:24:09
Speaker
But shout out to MJ, just dominating in multiple sports, went to basketball, obviously the greatest basketball player we've ever seen, and then now dominating at the Daytona 500 winning race cards. Michael Jordan just doing it everywhere. So shout out to him.
00:24:25
Speaker
And Tyler Reddick, the driver that won the Daytona 500. I was going
Recounting the 'Miracle on Ice'
00:24:32
Speaker
to get into some U.S. news and other things, but I'm not going to it right now because it is time for total evisceration. I want you all to stay tuned to Ballin' Buds, whether you're watching on Instagram, whether you're watching on Facebook, whether you're watching on YouTube. I want you to stay tuned. I'm going to go away for about 10 minutes.
00:24:49
Speaker
set up with Jake and hot take Jake and I are coming back and going to watch us yell at each other about sports for 30 minutes and some music and other things. It's going to be hilarious. You're not going to want to miss it. It's going to be even better TV than the state of the union tonight. We'll get you prepared for that. Donald Trump. President Donald Trump, um um ah you know, speech tonight. I'm sure he's going to go over the economy. He's going to go over the cartel stuff with Mexico. How crazy is that?
00:25:15
Speaker
By the way, if you need a warning to not travel to Mexico, you dumb asses. I saw a damn headline on an article, traveling to Mexico, question mark. Here's what you need to know following the cartel's violent outbreak.
00:25:29
Speaker
No, here's what you need to know. Stay your ass at home, sucker. That's what the hell you need to know. Why the hell would you be trying to travel to Mexico at this point, you dumbasses? Anyways, I'm sure he's going to talk about that.
00:25:39
Speaker
And I'm sure as well, he'll talk about i Iran. If y'all didn't know, we have moved a lot of our forces into Iran, a lot of our ships. And other troops are there.
00:25:52
Speaker
Not sure what's going to happen. They are preparing for a sort of war. Right now it's looking more like a tactical measure to intimidate Iran into nuclear sanctions. i've had I had a video short on this. I did about a year ago. Go check it out.
00:26:09
Speaker
was one my best viewed shorts at the time. Like 5,000 views on Iran and their nuclear capabilities today. Yes, I know you think I'm just the sports professor, but I am the everything professor. That was actually my field of study for a long time was ah was foreign relations with the United States. I know you probably don't see me as the such, but I am suckers. Anyways, before I leave you, I told you for educational purposes that I would show you...
00:26:34
Speaker
The 1980 miracle on ice I'm just gonna show you a short clip because obviously, you know, this is only for fair use and educational purposes But I know that there are some youngins out there that have probably never seen the miracle on ice 1980 so let me go ahead and just show you a Little bit of that right here. Hold on one second. I will call you right back. I love you. I'm on my show
00:27:04
Speaker
Well, if you saw that I was on the show, why are you calling me in the middle of the show? So anyways, just really quick shout out to ESPN throwback on YouTube here. But I just want to show you what kind of the grainy footage that you would have seen back in 1980. Now, let me give you some backstory on this, y'all. Obviously, we are playing the Russians here. The Soviets had won.
00:27:27
Speaker
ah ah four times in a row. So they won the gold medal four times in a row, which as we know in Olympic time goes for about 16 years because it's once every four years. So the Russians have been the gold medalist for 16 years running when our United States upset them four to three in what was called the miracle on ice.
00:27:59
Speaker
So as you see here, um you can. Oh, wait. Let me hold up boy one second here. Whoops. Hey, hey, now. Hey, now. Calm yourself.
00:28:09
Speaker
Calm. Calm. Calm. It's right here. Oh, no, no, no. Not you, buddy. Not you. What are we doing here, bro? All right, there we go I had it all ready for y'all. Here we go. Boom.
00:28:20
Speaker
So he hits him, lifts him up. Yes, just a few seconds left. Boom. Miracle on ice. Ah! The crowd goes
Preparing for Total Evisceration with Hot Take Jake
00:28:27
Speaker
wild. The United States wins it all, and they go crazy.
00:28:31
Speaker
So there you go. There's your little bit. I can't obviously play too much because that is just for educational purposes, fair use and the such. And I obviously wanted to just play that cause i know there's a bunch of young people out there that probably never have seen that clip. But you saw the grainy footage of what they used to have to deal with when we didn't have HDTV. That being said, I just saw Jake pop in.
00:28:56
Speaker
um So I got to go get with him. Y'all, canteen, stay tuned, baby. Oh, here he is. Jake, what up, my bruh? I can't hear you. Get that picture. Y'all ready for the show? I'm ready. Is this the link I gave you?
00:29:12
Speaker
Yeah. Oh, my bad. I'm to send you another link. Meet me there. All right, y'all. Okay, got you. I need turn to another. We're going to actually, i mean, we could technically stay here. No, no, we've got to go to the other place. I got it. I got it over there.
00:29:24
Speaker
All right. Bye, bye. We'll see y'all in a second. Shout out to Jake for coming on. Hey, shout out my brother, Canteen. No Mexico trips is right. Y'all stay safe out there. And again, hey, 10 minutes. It's going to be Hot Take Jake and myself.
