Speaker: There are a lot of things you expect when you become a veterinarian. Long hours, emergency cases, fur everywhere. What you probably don't expect is the crazy patients that come through the front door. Or to stuff their dogs bowl out of the trash. or the stuff we pull out of their dogs. I once had a patient eat an entire shish kebab skewer. No, no, we do not have time for that story.
Speaker: Welcome to Spill the Kibble, where we take real veterinary stories and see just how weird things can get when animals are left with their own devices, which is apparently never a good idea.
Speaker: Oh, that reminds me and of the story. Anyway, every episode I bring Dr. M and Dr. G amazing animal stories that they haven't heard before. And much like their clinical work, they have to figure out what's going on. Sometimes we know immediately. Sometimes we have educated theories. And sometimes we're just guessing. Confidently. Very confidently. and occasionally we're completely wrong. The stories come from veterinarians, vet techs, pet owners, and anyone else who's witnessed an animal make a decision so bad that you almost have to respect it. Almost. We've got bizarre injuries, surprising surgeries, wild encounters with wildlife, and a shocking number of stories that begin with a crazy conspiracy theory. That's basically half of veterinary medicine.
