Speaker: Bitch, I'm in the...
Speaker: and gentleman
Speaker: Welcome to the show, ladies and gentlemen, we're back. It's me, Brian, with me always. Oh, Mark. Hey, how are you, Mark? Jesus. I'm doing good. Guys, we were we literally just did a show not too long ago. I'm thinking that Mark may have forgotten something here.
Speaker: No, i was looking at what start with. all be Yeah, but I was looking at my... ah i I bring it up on my phone, too, so I can see some of the other comments that don't show up on here.
Speaker: Gotcha. Speaking of comments, if you are watching tonight live, we are live. It is a Tuesday night. We typically don't go live on Tuesday. it's It is a special night.
Speaker: Mark did this because I'm going to New Orleans tomorrow. And he didn't even invite us. let's Listen, you want to go?
Speaker: I got room in the suitcase. ah I might be short, but not that short. You're pretty damn short. Don't bite me. Guys, he's an action figure. So there you go.
Speaker: A little bit bigger than an action figure. Come on, look. A little bit bigger than an action figure. There you go. He said it. There you go. Mark, so... Help. Yeah. Yeah. No, no. She can give us all the help.
Speaker: Yeah. So you went out you went out on a mission. You did some movie stuff. It took me over a year to get this to come to, you know,
Speaker: I was happy when ah you know I got the okay that she'll do the show. i was very happy. okay ah But I've been messaging her for over a year and most of the time it's it's a movie or she has something that date that I gave her and this time, ah well, it worked out. So persistence. And I told you, i was like, i don't think that's a real person.
Speaker: But yeah, you told me that. So every anytime I get somebody with that has a name, you always tell me you don't think it's a real person. It's not a real person. She is a real person, though. I talked to her, ladies and gentlemen. She is a real person. And her name is Miss Kansas Bowling.
Speaker: There she is. I told you she's real. I wasn't joking.
Speaker: All right. You believe in me now? i believe in you now. So i got asked, like, did you ask your parents, hey, what you know why did you name me Kansas? i I never.
Speaker: I never even thought and of myself as having a weird name until I was in there. It's not weird. It never even crossed my mind. i don't know. it's i I never got made fun of or anything. I i only like got made fun of for my name by like adults on the internet when I got on social media. oh but like everyone was like, oh my god, those evil parents. like She must have been bullied in school. I'm like, no, I'm just bullied by you guys.
Speaker: that That's ah no, I just, you know, with the name Kansas, like I was saying, I just feel like it's so unique. Like, like they were there, there should be a story behind it. I would think, right. Like mom and dad have a story like, Hey, why did you guys name me Kansas by the way?
Speaker: Oh, well it's it's because my, on my dad's side, um our family's from Kansas. Okay. Good reason. So if you'd been named, if you would have been from Florida, would you have been Florida bowling?
Speaker: Potentially. I don't know. what if what if ah What if I wasn't ever born at all? Oh, don't say that. Don't say that. What if I was a man? Would I still be named Kansas?
Speaker: Topeka. Topeka. ah My wife said it probably could still work. The Kansas. Yeah, it probably could still work. So, all right, let's move away from the name situation.
Speaker: um Mark does a lot of movies and he talks a lot of, uh, a lot about these, um, like Indies and horror films and stuff like that.
Speaker: So I'm kind of riding his toe, uh, coattails because i don't really watch a whole lot of horror movies. I'm, I tried to watch the new, um, Crystal Lake and I, I'm bored. Like it it doesn't, it just doesn't do me So I apologize in advance. I'm a,
Speaker: I like comedy movies and action.
Speaker: So, but Mark says you have- To each their own. Mark says you have some horror horror background. And then he just watched one that was a documentary or documentary style.
Speaker: Yes. Yeah, so he's he's talking about my movie that I made called Cuddly Toys. it's it's it's a It's a Mondo movie, which is an old genre that I kind of resurrected, which is like pseudo-documentaries. There's documentary footage in it and and other scripted stuff, and then stuff that's kind of a mix mix of the both.
Speaker: yeah Yeah, you could say that. That's one way of putting it. um mark aye When I was watching it, I was like, okay, you know, um that it definitely, the title definitely does not say about the movie. I mean, you could have gave it a different ah name and somebody would have probably said the same thing.
Speaker: when i When I looked at it, I thought it was going to be, you know, there's going to be a killer out there, you know, killing people that are cuddled up or, you know, whatever. And I'm like, okay, you know, that that's not a...
Speaker: That's definitely not what it is. ah Yeah. no No killer toys or anything like that. Oh, that was my second thought. Oh, maybe there's a killer toy.
Speaker: you know but That'd be pretty good. You were fantastic in Desert Friends 2. those Desert Fiends 2. Thank you, Mary-Kate. Oh, my God. I can't read. What is wrong?
Speaker: I'm not putting my glasses on for this. Desert Fiends 2 was really fun. i i get I get my throat slit in it. Oh, Jesus Christ. Like, how long were you in the film?
Speaker: i I haven't seen it yet. i don't know. Oh, Jesus. um But it was filmed here in Nevada. What's the weather there right now? cold. it really? what's the what's the weather like there right now it's cold is it really oh i i mean i'm I'm in Northern Nevada. We filmed that in Southern Nevada.
Speaker: Daytime cold? So you're not like desert? Well, actually, i don't know. Right now it says it's 55. It was cold this morning. That's not that cold. It's not that cold in Florida either. so Yeah, it's going to go down to 35 tonight.
Speaker: Yeah, that's that's pretty damn cold. It's pretty cold. it it's It's warming up a little bit. Yeah. Oh yeah, thank you, Trouble21101.
Speaker: She's our number one fan. Oh yeah, yeah, you should. i think, yeah, Desert Fiends 2, it's out on a DVD now. You should you should get a copy. tweet Where can we find Desert Fiends 2?
Speaker: Where can we get a copy of this DVD? Just go to the website? I'm sure, I'm sure if you look it up, you can find ah The director's Instagram is CoolDudeer.
Speaker: I don't know. he He's selling them, too. that's Okay. So check that out, Amanda, if you if you want to find that film. It is available. So what is happening?
Speaker: How you doing?
Speaker: um So let me ask you, as far as the projects go, what was your first project?
Speaker: I made a movie for Troma when I was a teenager. It's called BC Butcher. It's um it's a prehistoric slasher film starring Cato Kaelin, who's also in Desert Fiends 2.
Speaker: Okay. so umm cold Yeah. Big fan of Cato Kaelin. It's cool. how How old were you when you first got into doing film?
Speaker: ah Well, I was 17 when I directed that. So I guess since I've been 17. Wow. now And now I'm 30. You still look 17. Thank you.
Speaker: i was about to say that. I have wrinkles now. ah oh Everybody has wrinkles when they do that. Well, they're there when I don't do that too.
Speaker: Yeah, i think ah we have kids your age, so hey mark Mark and I know. Y'all claim that you're getting old and stuff. Listen, Mark and I's check engine lights have already come on, so we're still... Yeah, mine came on it at about 30.
Speaker: Yours just nicely came on.
Speaker: Yeah, right. Anyway, so directing and... um Do you write any of these stories? Do you do you do the the creative writing on everything that you've that you've done? Okay.
Speaker: Well, on the stuff I've directed, yeah. Okay. um i not Not the stuff I act. I act in other people's movies too, but yeah i've I've directed a lot of music videos too for people, but that's since it's someone else's video, it's so it's oftentimes more of a collaborative process, but I- Anything we might know?
Speaker: ah My most popular video that I directed is um i was for a band called the Deaf Valley Girls, and I got Iggy Pop to star in it. oh wow Oh, wow. There's like an old classic video of Andy Warhol eating a hamburger, and we recreated that with Iggy Pop in the Andy Warhol role, so it was just Iggy Pop eating a hamburger. But yeah, that was probably the biggest video I've done. Yeah.
Speaker: and then i i've also i also acted in a bunch of videos for the killers too oh wow that's cool that is absolutely cool the band the killers yeah that's crazy nevada zone you know so so in like their music videos themselves Yeah, um they had an album called Imploding the Mirage. It came out like 2020 and they made like a 20 minute and short film that that came out with the album. And so i i'm the I'm the lead in the short film and then from the short film they like and edited two two music videos from it. So i mean i mean I'm in two of the music videos and then the the video. So it's for the song Caution.
Speaker: And then I honestly can't remember the name of the other song. Something with like soul in the title. I don't know. It's on that album. you'll If you look it up, you'll see it. The Killers. Yeah, The Killers is absolutely fantastic. They're a baller ass band. So um yeah. Yeah, they're cool. And they're from Nevada.
Speaker: I did not know that. I did not know. They're from Vegas. Vegas. Yeah. OK. ah How close are you to Vegas? I'm pretty far. I'm closer to Reno. oh you're okay. Yeah. Vegas and Reno people, people don't realize how big Nevada is. there oh nos apart Yeah. Yeah. Now we drove from California through who ah parts of Nevada to get to Florida.
Speaker: Okay. So there was, where was there snow at? one And then we hit Arizona. Yeah. There was snow in April.
Speaker: It was April? Yeah. I was like, damn, dude, that's crazy. Yeah. If you went through Nevada and Arizona, yeah, probably up to 15. I don't know.
Speaker: Yeah. like what If you went through Vegas, yeah. Yeah. from From California, I think we we took the 15 and just came straight down that way. Yeah. I think that's the way we went. so Yeah, we got to see some really cool stuff coming through through parts of, it like i can't remember if it was New people Mexico, but there was like a train that ran through the side of um the mountain, and it had like snow on it, too. I was like, this is literally like out of,
Speaker: you know, a children's Christmas story. You know what I mean? Oh yeah. No, everything's very picturesque out here and very beautiful. it's um ah Yeah. A lot of, a lot of wide open spaces, wild horses, crazy weather.
Speaker: So we, we used to have it like that here in our little County where like you would have to drive 30 minutes to go to a convenience store. Now it's like there everything is popping up and we're just like, dude, please stop building stuff.
Speaker: Yeah. We're cutting down all the forest and stuff. And I'm just like, dude. Yeah, that's no good. yeah you making effort We got new highways coming through and stuff. Yeah. What'd you say, Mark? I said it just keeps getting hotter. that's the My wife says it's 100% because they keep ripping the trees out of the ground, dude.
Speaker: Could definitely have something to do with it. Yeah. So um um let's talk about some actors and actresses that you've worked with. Okay.
Speaker: um I want to know about some actors and actresses. Hang on. Sorry to interrupt. I missed the beginning, but is... There are structure to the conversation here like we're little bit. Hey, listen, if you got questions, you are more than willing to ask away.
Speaker: This is an open forum. We just like to have simple conversations with our guests. um If there's something that she doesn't want to talk about, she's not going talk about. bottom credit you But if you have a question for Kansas or for Mark or myself, nobody ask us anything.
Speaker: Please don't ask us anything. Please, please, please. Okay, good. That's off my chest. um Actors and actresses that you've worked with. Notables. I want to talk about one.
Speaker: Tell me your your opinion of some of your your actors and actresses that you've worked with. oh You're just handing her a live snake. A hundred percent.
Speaker: Just enjoy the people that you've worked with and and what you liked about them. Because I'm sure that you've worked with actors and actresses. I mean, who are you curious about who I've worked with?
Speaker: I'm just curious is in general. i just have, it's a general base knowledge question that I'm asking.
Speaker: I mean, you just want me to pick a random person? Yeah, go ahead. But okay. I i mean, i like to I like to work with my my friends, but but I know that's not an exciting answer.
Speaker: um when i when i When I get hired on a movie for like acting especially, I like to, um you know, if i always ask, like, oh, do you do you have a DP? Do you have an effects person? do you need another actor? And I try to get my other friends on it. It it doesn't always happen, which is also fine, because i make new friends, but I like to get my friends work and stuff. And so I have someone to hang out with, because a lot of the times I'm traveling somewhere I've never been with people I've never met.
Speaker: So it's always good. It's always better to have that in the back with you just to say, you know, this is my, like you, you may have like an onset photographer kind of thing ah that you take with you or something.
Speaker: I mean, not, not usually. I like, I, I try to get them hired for like real things. I need, I need my team here. There's a lot of actors that do that.
Speaker: there's a lot of actors that do that actors, actresses, they like to have somebody on set that familiar with. So it's easier for them. All right. So this question popped up. It was um more, more about filmmaking side. um So um Hank, is there a question specifically that you wanted to ask as far as like about filmmaking?
Speaker: We know that she, she started doing filmmaking when she was 17. Um, um The first film was called what? BC Butcher.
Speaker: The BC Butcher. BC Butcher. butcher and And where did the idea come from?
Speaker: I mean, it was so long ago. I wrote it when I was in high school with my friend when were 15. But it was... um We just had access to a lot of wilderness and stuff. And we're like, what kind of movie can we make out here? a caveman movie. Why not? sounds fun and campy. So that's what we wrote.
Speaker: ah Okay. Let's see here. um As a film student myself who realized film school is BS, it's quite intimidating. Quiet, quiet, immediate. what he He immediately realized that film school is BS is what he's saying. oh Oh, okay.
Speaker: ah I'm not putting my glasses on. I'm sorry. I just can't do it. Um, yeah, I, nice I don't, I don't think it's, um, or I don't think it's necessary to go to school for anything creative, especially, especially nowadays, thats the industry is just going downhill and there's, you know, AI is going to destroy a lot of jobs.
Speaker: Do you think that you learn more not doing, don't want to say it like that. I guess I have to though. not doing a film school like not going to film school and just like going on sets and stuff would you you're going to learn more that way than than trying to take multiple courses for this right
Speaker: uh yeah for sure i mean i mean there's definite definitely a technical side to things but um a lot of the creative stuff should just kind of come intuitively um It's a,
Speaker: yeah, I mean, what are, what are they going to teach you in film school? That you can't already learn out in the real world. I mean, it's kind of like, it's kind of like, uh, we have, in my line of work, we have schools that we can send people to, to learn about sales, but I can teach that right where I'm at.
Speaker: You know, I can teach what I know and make somebody good at what, what I, how perceive things. But yeah, yeah, I mean, if if you were if you truly want to do something, if you truly feel like you're an artist, it's ah it's about having a unique perspective and or interesting stories you want to tell.
Speaker: ah But if if you are just really interested in like being a filmmaker to direct commercials or things like that then i mean those those jobs are probably gonna go go away soon those will all be ai all ai listen i i i made this little background with ai i was just like hey make me a halloween background was like here you go how's that look i was like fucking great yeah
Speaker: Could have paid somebody to do that, but Jesus. I didn't use AI for my background. Oh, shut up, Mark. I didn't use AI for mine either. I actually painted a lot of this stuff.
Speaker: So you're you like pink, evidently. Did you do the whole ceiling? Mm-hmm. Oh, Jesus. The ceiling should have stayed white. Oh, no, I mean all this is this is the only pink room in my house. The the rest of the house is all wood.
Speaker: Okay. I like the old wood look. Yeah, me too. But but this, when i when I bought this house, this was all just white drywall. Oh, yeah. Yep. Ours is a coming along great. We have two tones of purple in the bedroom.
Speaker: that's so we're good nice we still haven't figured out the other parts of the house yet oh god no listen my wife has put three different colors of paint behind the front door trying to figure out what color she likes best eventually it might be green or teal we're not sure yet dude it's kind of like filmmaking we're just not until we get to that i'm kidding i don't know anything about filmmaking um
Speaker: did you did you attend any kind of schooling though prior to getting into it i went to high school that's it there was no film school for you though to or with was there something in high school that you did um being clever there there no there was actually like an elected film class i took for i think half half of a year in high school but it was you know i i would make movies with my my friends and my my sister when we were little kids and stuff so i i think in the film class i took in high school they they had us at the end of the class make like um i think they had us yeah they had to make i a music video that was our oh wow thing so we made a music video
Speaker: Everything's hard about filmmaking, correct? It's all hard work.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. um
Speaker: But but it it should feel rewarding to you if that's what you want to do. And how do you know if you're creative enough to to be a filmmaker? like Like if I'm writing a story and I go, oh, you know what? I need to need to like take some photos or I need to like film this and see what it looks like kind of thing.
Speaker: um Well, you just have to ask yourself what what are yeah what are you doing or making that's really contributing to the art form and are you doing anything new that hasn't been done before and are you making something genuine? Do you genuinely feel like you have something to say?
Speaker: um are you do you feel like you're for forcing it? do you Do you feel like, I don't i don't know, ah you just kind of have to know, i guess. so So if something comes natural to to you, you just kind of run off it then, is that right? Like, you know, um I got- it's a good thing.
Speaker: Oh, sorry. Oh, you're good. i was just gonna say, i'm I'm set up to do a couple of like little mini commercials for, you know, the job that I do. And to me, it's just, it's easy. Like the the girl gives me directions, she says, do this. And I'm like, all right, and I do it. And then she's like, it's perfect.
Speaker: And we do like maybe two takes and we're done. And i'm like, all right, cool. you know and And I'm not an actor or anything, but I just feel like it's stuff that comes natural to me.
Speaker: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. yeah ae it it it should It should feel natural. Yeah. and react if you If you have know a passion for something, yeah.
Speaker: Yeah. yeah Is it easier to act or is it easier to be a filmmaker? Is there ah is there a ah separation between the two?
Speaker: Like, is one harder than the other? Well, yeah, it's easier to act because you just show up to someone else's movie.
Speaker: yeah I don't know. I got to ask these questions. I'm i'm very inquisitive. um Yeah, filmmaking, you have to do everything for from my from from the very beginning to the very end. so um There's pre-production, there's production, there's post-production. film Filmmaking is is all of that. So acting is just in the production part of that.
Speaker: And you know that's why I always ask people, i'm like, why is it taking so long for this movie to come out? I got to call Kansas up and be like, hey, Kansas, do you know why why is this thing taking like a year? What is happening right now?
Speaker: um Yeah, I mean, ah I guess it just really depends on the project. But so some projects are more straightforward than than others. And others kind of evolve over time and require more planning and shoots and they go through changes in the edit. They you know need need different, like, you could have ah different scores made or community edits or ADR work that needs to be done or just the the more the more complicated the the movie is and the story is and the shoots are, the more complicated the post-production gets. and
Speaker: Um, uh, good, good, good work takes a a lot of time. Yeah. Um, what about crowdfunding? Do you do any crowdfunding for any of your films to like get the film ready to launch? Uh,
Speaker: I, I, um, I did it a long time ago. Okay. Oh, it did a little bit for BC butcher, but I haven't done it in a long time.
Speaker: ah But I act in a lot of movies that are crowdfunded. Yeah. Okay. All right. Let's do this. Let's take a quick break. We're going listen to some music that Mark found.
Speaker: I was saying. When we come. yeah right. When we come back, we'll ah we'll introduce you to Jennifer or someone who wants to play a game called Florida or not Florida against you. Super easy game. You'll have a great time. And ladies and gentlemen, when we come back, we're going continue our conversation with Ms. Kansas Bowling.
Speaker: and We will be right back in just a couple of minutes. Everybody go get a drink if you need to.
Speaker: Can't get out my room, can't get out my bed need change soon, can't get out my head I remember what you said, but got demons at my neck I'm starting to lose that fight, I can't go outside tonight Tell me that I'm worth, someone can you tell me I ain't bad?
Speaker: Cause I'm so tired of feeling like I'm really just a mirror to my past tired of being broken, tired of being bad Can someone show me how to do this shit?
Speaker: I'm tired of singing about being sad And the way I've been taking drugs, it's obvious I won't be everlasting I know it don't fucking help, I was just sober and steady last week, what the fuck happened?
Speaker: I guess I'm relapsing, drugs in the backseat I'll see you in passing, nobody pass me Can't get out of my room, can't get out of my bed I need change soon, can't get out of my head And remember what you said, but got demons at my head And starting to lose that fight, I can't go outside tonight Can't get out my room, can't get out of my bed need change soon, can't get out of my head Remember what you said, got demons at my hand And I'm starting to lose that fight, I can't go outside tonight When these lights go out and this hype all crash We love me still, even though I'm like my dad I'm so tired of being sick, type of shit a bag won't fix But wouldn't mind getting rich
Speaker: I'm so tired this shit, starting to think that I'm broken And that fame might be lonely, I've been getting high as fuck I can't get high as y'all hold me Maybe I'll get there one day, maybe I won't, I'm coasting Don't live life like me, chasing this high My mom always told me, can't get out my road,
Speaker: Can't get out my bed I need change soon Can't get out my head remember what you said got demons at my neck And I'm starting to lose that fight can't go outside tonight Can't get out my room Can't get out my bed I need a change soon, can't get out my head I remember what you said, I got demons at my head And I'm starting to lose that fight, I can't go outside tonight
Speaker: I need change soon Can't get out my And remember what you said But I got demons at my head And I'm starting to lose that fight can't go outside tonight Can't get out my room Can't get out my bed I need change soon Can't get out my head And I remember what you said But got demons at my head And I'm starting to lose that fight I can't go outside tonight
Speaker: Pretty decent music, Mark. Every so often I pick a good one. Well, make sure you check on your nephew. I do almost every day. Okay.
Speaker: Alyssa said, i let you pick the music tonight. Absolutely. I sure did. Because Brian doesn't always remember to do it. So I'm terrible at it. Every time I pick music, they cut it.
Speaker: They cut the music. Ladies and gentlemen, we are back. From our break, and we are chit-chatting with Miss Kansas Bowling. She is an actress. She is a writer, screenwriter, a director, a jack of all trades, a Jill of all trades.
Speaker: Right? Thank you. Yeah. um Do you guys want to play a little game called Florida or not Florida?
Speaker: Well, I mean, It seems to be a fan favorite, so let's see. Jen, you ever played the game Florida or Not Florida? I have not. I've seen you guys play it, but I have not played it.
Speaker: Ladies and gentlemen, and we have Jen from, let's see, Citrus 95 and the Fox 96.7 right here in Citrus County, Florida. And we are going to play a game.
Speaker: Hello. We're going to play a game with you two versus each other, and it is Florida or Not Florida. Guys, ladies, The game is very easy. All i'm going to do is i'm going to read some type of headline or a little statement kind of thing.
Speaker: And it is going to be um either it's Florida or it's a not Florida man. So if you've ever heard the Florida man stories, you'll kind of get it and you'll say, oh, wait a minute. That sounds definitely like something that would have happened in the state of Florida.
Speaker: And I will even do this. I will post it up here just like so. So like this, the first one is a diner calls 911. to try to dodge a $63 red lobster bill, cops say.
Speaker: Did this happen in Florida oh or not Florida? no
Speaker: Florida? Wait, am I supposed to guess? Both of you guys guess. So do you think that happened in Florida? I'll guess Florida. I'm going to go with Florida as well. Kansas and Jen are both going Florida florida on this mark.
Speaker: and the folks over here in the comments section will also step in and alyssa says not florida amanda says not florida hey brian you know the one thing that you forgot to mention what do they get oh yeah you if you guys if you guys win we have these really really cool stupid things right here these decals oh there we go we did we lose jen jen are you there
Speaker: You get these decals. Sweet. So we'll get those out into the mail to you. You don't even have to win. We're just going to send them to you anyway. Okay. Thank you. Yeah. All got to do is just send send me your ah address and I'll get it out to you.
Speaker: Thank you. All right. don't know where Jen but while we're waiting for her to come back, I will tell you that that was not plural. That actually happened in Georgia.
Speaker: oh georgia close close to florida though i i went with the red lobster thing because i said the same thing i was like oh this definitely happened in florida and i've read it and it was like in something something georgia and i was like ah weak all right guys very good for the folks in the comment section and for everybody else here we go here is the next The next one is burglar dressed in a cow onesie steals vapes from a smoke shop.
Speaker: Utterly despicable. Oh my god Is it Florida? Not Florida. Not Florida. I'll just say Florida again. You want to go Florida again? Yeah. All right.
Speaker: Yeah. Then says not Florida. Kansas says Florida. or Florida. And what do we got in the comments? Ladies, where are you at? Alyssa and Amanda.
Speaker: Give them a second. you know it's delay A little delay here. Apologize.
Speaker: Y'all better hurry and answer. There we go. Not Florida. That sounds like some Midwest shit. and And Amanda says it was Florida.
Speaker: So she's on Kansas side here. Ladies and gentlemen, the answer to this one is Tennessee. Tennessee. Very good. All right. I was doing my ah roulette strategy.
Speaker: you're just going to keep going forward, aren't you? but I have to now, yeah. Yeah, she's all went all in. She's not the first person to score it every time. If we were betting money, I would have doubled it last time, and now I would double that. but Yeah, but you would have lost twice.
Speaker: I know, but that's how you, that's the roulette strategy though. If you, if you, so if you put a dollar on black and you lose, you have to bet black again, but $2. And if you lose that, you have to bet black again, but bet $4. Holy crap. I'm not doing that.
Speaker: That's great. And then, and then whenever it hits black and then the next time you bet red. Okay. Father and son 10 over worth of jewelry from an art center.
Speaker: After the kids sign the visitor log. Is this Florida or not Florida? Florida. Not Florida. Kansas is going Florida. She's Florida strong, ladies gentlemen.
Speaker: And Jen says not Florida. right, ladies. I got Alyssa says Florida. And Amanda, I just need yours.
Speaker: Just need Amanda's.
Speaker: Florida. She said Florida. and Really? So everybody said Florida except Jen? Yep. Outnumbered. Ladies and gentlemen, Arizona.
Speaker: Yay! What happened in Arizona? you haven't You've had no Florida so far. Dun dun dun dun. It sometimes could happen that way. i don't know. Well, the next one has to be Florida. It has to be. Are you doubling down on Florida?
Speaker: ah Yeah. Let's see. A man cited for riding a lawnmower through a drive-through while chasing an escaped peacock. Is this Florida or not Florida? Florida.
Speaker: That one I think might be Florida. Florida, Florida. And what do we got? Amanda and Alyssa. Ladies, where you at?
Speaker: I've got Florida from Amanda. and Florida from Alyssa. hey Hank's here and Hank is playing and says Florida.
Speaker: Ladies and gentlemen, for everybody that picked Florida, you're absolutely correct. It is absolutely florida everybody in Florida. Everybody pick Florida this time. See, if if i if I would have started with the $1 and I would have bet $8 that time, I would have made my money back. So that's just how the how the strategy works.
Speaker: might have to get that one if I ever go gambling again. let's see where i live i live in Nevada, so like I know how to gamble. She's right there. She's going tomorrow. oh True.
Speaker: She's just not going to be able to play the Florida or not Florida thing because she's it's going to be... no she can choose hi rocker all right here is your next one guys man banned from aquarium and you're trying to recruit an octopus for a podcast it worked because i got mark well no i needed a guest coach and i could not you know If I were doing my strategy right now, i would say not Florida, but this this does actually sound like Florida. So I'm just going to say Florida. like a Florida man to you?
Speaker: I think that one might be Florida too. You think Florida as well, Jen? Okay. I do. ah Hank says not Florida. Alyssa says Florida. And Amanda says Florida.
Speaker: I'm glad you didn't go with the strategy that you would have went with. Congratulations. It was Florida. Knew it. All right. Everybody wins. Everybody's a winner tonight. Actually, who won?
Speaker: King says Florida. You chimed in just in time, but we already put the answer out there. You're absolutely right. It was Florida. Actually, it's a tie between i again and Amanda.
Speaker: Kansas still won. She made it to the show. She's still going to get the decals. This is going to happen. Anybody that wants decals. Anybody that wants decals, please reach out to us. We're going make sure that we put these in the mail to you.
Speaker: We really appreciate you all playing along. our little game of Florida or not Florida. And ladies and gentlemen, we're back and we're talking with Ms. Kansas Bowling. um This is where we tell Jen, thank you so much for stopping in. Thank you, Jen. Thank you, guys. Thank you.
Speaker: Real quick, before we let you go, where can people find you? Oh, Jennifer Sue on Facebook and Instagram. ah You can always look me up on my business. I do radio advertising for Fox 96.7, Citrus 95.3. So make sure you tune in and I will see you tomorrow, Brian. Not me. I'm on vacation.
Speaker: Oh, don't. Oh, my goodness. I'm on vacation. Okay. Well, I'll see you when you get back then. I'll see you next week. All right. Sounds good. right. Take care, Jen.
Speaker: Thank you all. good night
Speaker: all right what'd you think about the game loved it something a little different it breaks up it breaks up me asking you a million and a half questions i'm sorry there could be and there could be another one for a nevada man too we could totally do that because i'm sure that you guys have nevada man right like we have crazy people yeah we legitimately have a thing called florida man games yeah Have you heard of it?
Speaker: Oh, yeah no yeah. I've heard of it. They let guys go run and a cop will chase them and try to hit them with a taser.
Speaker: It's pretty fun. It's a race. It's like it's the the Florida Man Games. and It's absolutely fantastic. We will be there next year. Not participating, but we will we will get some live action from us We will get some live action, some live feed.
Speaker: Ladies and gentlemen, we're back talking with Ms. Kansas Bullying. If there's anybody that has questions for her in the comments, please speak now or forever. piece King is my nephew, Damien.
Speaker: Ah, got it. He just – He's just a little but slow today. that be He said it's lagging on on his end. That's the reason why he wasn't answering.
Speaker: All right, Mark, what are we doing? What are we talking about here? We're talking about, that's we we're talking about underground let's talk about some of her movies. Okay. ah Technically, I probably have seen her or more, but there's two movies that I know for sure of.
Speaker: And one of them is, one of them was Murder Size, which I thought was an interesting take on it all. um
Speaker: Tell us how you got involved with that one.
Speaker: i the The directors just reached out to me and asked me to be in it. Simple as that. Well, how how are you known to be um selected? Like, how did they know you? Where did they know you from?
Speaker: ah hi gabe um because I act in and movies, so. Okay.
Speaker: okay so I don't know there's a particular one they saw. I look like how pale as hell.
Speaker: ah I was honored to be involved with Only Things. that's only number one That one's on my list to watch still. Yeah, so that Only Things is another movie that is directed by paul and Angie who did Murder Size. And I'm in that one. And yeah, Gabe.
Speaker: Gabe was an investor in that movie.
Speaker: Cool. what What's Only Things about, though? It's kind of like Only Things, but yeah yeah guess vampires. Am I hitting this?
Speaker: I did it. Yep, you got it. You read it off your phone? Can I what? No, i was I was asking Brian if he read it off his phone.
Speaker: Oh. Yeah, that one I have not watched yet. um I watched Cuddle Toys today. and like I told you earlier, I was like, well, it was ah definitely a not what I thought it was going to be.
Speaker: a I liked it, but it wasn't what I thought it was going to be.
Speaker: that's That's a good thing. you don know't you knowt You don't want to make something a predictable.
Speaker: I would ask how you got the idea of doing it that way. But like if watching the movie, it sort of told me, you know, you wanted to make something, you know, to get awareness also out there. Even though it's out there, but you wanted to do it more?
Speaker: is that why you did it?
Speaker: um
Speaker: ah like Sorry, i don't I don't understand the question. did you i When you came up with the idea for the movie, was there a certain way were you trying to just get ah more awareness out there on on how...
Speaker: oh What's a good way of putting it? ah
Speaker: Awareness ah broke No, I'm trying to think of how I wanted to, how to word this because I don't want to give a, you know, it was a doc, it was sort of like a documentary type, but it was getting awareness out there to show females what all can happen.
Speaker: Um,
Speaker: Uh, yeah, I mean, I just like when people have, you know, different interpretations or they take different things from it and um it's certain it. It's framed like an old educational movie. So, yeah, it's ah it's ah it's a PSA for young girls, just telling them to be a little bit careful. so yeah Okay.
Speaker: So without giving it away, that's what you could have said, Mark. Is this a PSA? I wasn't thinking it that way. I was trying to think of it you know different ways of saying it, but you know what the hell? know What genres Kansas is into watching and making and how you feel about sci-fi?
Speaker: How do you feel about sci-fi? um I prefer sci-fi movies that are set on Earth. So like, you know, i love the movie Mars Attacks.
Speaker: I don't really care about movies that are set on another planet though, unfortunately. Except for like, I'm a fan of like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books. Oh, those were fantastic.
Speaker: I haven't read them in a long time though, but I don't know why that just popped in my head. ah But in terms of like what I watch, my favorite genre, um I really love Westerns and...
Speaker: um sorry yeah the the movies i want to make from here on out like i have two that i'm editing right now some future ideas for some that they're all either kind of based on or inspired by true stories um and here in nevada mostly
Speaker: it's the name is sahan sayhan And I'm tuning in from Germany, by the way. and that's the first for us. We got somebody from Germany watching us. Love it Okay, watching her, not us.
Speaker: yeah have i have I have some German heritage.
Speaker: Are you a Stephen King fan, Kansas? I feel like Dark Tower would speak to you. um i am I am a Stephen King fan, yeah. I... I actually tried reading The Dark Tower, but yeah, I just, I can't, I don't know. The the sci-fi and like fantasy stuff is just not really my thing. I like more like,
Speaker: stories about people, but, um, I don't know. My, my favorite Stephen King book is desperation. um i I love, I love, I love a lot of Stephen King books. I love Cujo and Carrie and. Cujo scared the bejesus out of me the first time I saw it when I was like eight years old, i was like, I'm never going to sit in a car by myself ever.
Speaker: yeah yeah i mean there's there's also so many good good adaptations and stuff ah face i like the i like his short stories you know like yeah uh rita hayward and the shawshank redemption that is one of my favorite movies um i i didn't know some of the movies that he did uh like stand by me was wrote by him i didn't know that until i got older i knew i knew but when i was younger i didn't know it um I also like you know like Sleepwalkers. um
Speaker: yeah He's got a lot of good books, but I'm not one to read, so i'd rather I'd rather watch the movie.
Speaker: um love growth Both great great movies. and great I mean, yeah, i I love the movies he's made. I mean, Creepshow is one of the best movies ever. and I love Maximum Overdrive. Who do i I like that one.
Speaker: yeah He didn't like it though. Stephen King hated that movie. Oh yeah, but he also hated the Shining movie. and The Shining was fantastic. That one was scary.
Speaker: Yeah, here's a great idea. Let's go to the drive-in movie theater with a little bunch of little kids in the back of a pickup truck. Hey guys, we're going to go watch a Christmas movie. Oh, okay.
Speaker: that That was our Christmas movie that we got to go watch. That's awesome. Yeah, like if i was ah if I was not a child at the time, now I can watch i be like, oh this isn't this is nothing. But yeah they girls the the twins were the worst part of that movie. Like it haunted me for like forever, for like years, dude. Like I was so scared. I was like, I'm not.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: That's actually funny. Yeah, it's a great movie. It is, yes. I love Shelley Ball. Has anybody seen the newer version of that? What was it called? What was it called?
Speaker: Doctor... What was it? No, Doctor... Doctor Sleep. and dr yeah i mean I've not watched that one. Me neither.
Speaker: Maximum Overdrive is a guilty pleasure. It's so good. i I love... Anyone into Edgar Wright? That's not me. That's probably um Mark.
Speaker: i would have to hear i'm not good with authors i'm better with just titles and edgar edgar wright he's he's a filmmaker he did he did like shawn of the dead okay oh okay
Speaker: yeah edgar wright's cool which of your movies is the pickaxe i brought from from you what movie did it come from It's from a Western I made that's post-production is stalled right now ah because of some financial problems. There's investor, but I can't really get into it. But it's a Western i made called Helderado Days. It'll come out someday. Sorry, it's not out. Hey, you could can you do some crowdfunding for that one or you don't want to really do that?
Speaker: i Maybe, yeah. it's the the The company that funded it went bankrupt. Holy shit.
Speaker: But but they still they still own the movie, so... um Oh, so you don't own it? You don't own the rights to it then? No, that sucks. But I don't know. It doesn't need that much money.
Speaker: left to finish it so um i might be able to crowdfund it but i would just have to like i still wouldn't own like i don't i don't know and i i just have get them from the company that went bankrupt yeah i i don't know i i'm i'm making enough i have another movie that i'm making right now though too i'm that i'm editing so i'm going to focus on that one first what you're working on I don't want to say anything about it yet.
Speaker: Fine. it's No title? A working title? i I haven't said the title, but it's a true crime movie. Oh, shit.
Speaker: Oh, shit. You might get Brian. It's going to be based on a true story. Not murder a bunch of people and tell nobody about it. Shut No, I said she might be able to get you to watch one of her movies.
Speaker: I like the true crime kind of stuff. I dig that. I would totally do that. So um what else you want to talk about? What else you get? What else? What other projects are you working on? Are you getting into any additional acting right now?
Speaker: Anybody got you set up for any films? Yeah.
Speaker: uh yeah i always have things on the horizon and i usually i kind of average doing like kind of one one acting thing um a month or maybe over two months but i don't know it's a uh i just got back from kansas city last week i acted in a movie called melted about a wax museum uh, last, the month before I was in Illinois doing we a movie called McKenzie mansion massacre. Thank you, Gabe.
