Callum Jackson: do ding do put
Cameron Resner: Hello.
Callum Jackson: That was good. God, fuck it.
Cameron Resner: That was cool.
Callum Jackson: What's this one?
Cameron Resner: I only found out the other day that you could play them all at the same time.
Callum Jackson: That's our new intro.
Cameron Resner: I did like that.
Callum Jackson: What was the or was the Avengers one?
Cameron Resner: You could layer it. I just had Avengers. I can't remember why I had Avengers.
Cameron Resner: What was this? I can't remember. It's one of the first ones we did, I think, in the first episode.
Callum Jackson: Sorry everyone, we're just figuring out something.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Oh.
Cameron Resner: Oh, there you go. ah
Callum Jackson: I knew he would make it into the episode.
Cameron Resner: He's in.
Callum Jackson: He's in.
Cameron Resner: God, I didn't, yeah.
Callum Jackson: Jared Leto's back.
Cameron Resner: I had no memory of that.
Callum Jackson: Neither did I. Alright.
Cameron Resner: He said it's Mormon time.
Callum Jackson: Yep, that is fantastic.
Cameron Resner: Delicious.
Cameron Resner: Welcome to the 14th or 13th episode. 12.
Callum Jackson: Whichever one you like.
Cameron Resner: One of those. One of those.
Callum Jackson: Yep.
Cameron Resner: Above 10, I think.
Callum Jackson: okay Yep. More than last time.
Cameron Resner: m Time to end it now.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, before we keep making...
Cameron Resner: Before we get too big.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, keep talking about Jailer.
Cameron Resner: mm Shout out to our top podcast listeners of the year.
Callum Jackson: I don't know.
Callum Jackson: Yes.
Cameron Resner: Thank you. You know who you are.
Callum Jackson: Thank you so much.
Cameron Resner: One of us will give you a thanking to later.
Callum Jackson: yeah oh who um No, I know it's me.
Cameron Resner: It's you. It's not me. Oh. yeah
Callum Jackson: That wasn't the whoa.
Cameron Resner: you Sorry, i thought that's what the word was.
Callum Jackson: I'll see you later, George.
Cameron Resner: All right. Yeah. God.
Callum Jackson: Jolly Roger. Right.
Cameron Resner: Poor cum bucket.
Callum Jackson: So, Game Awards.
Cameron Resner: Okay. Game Awards. Indeed.
Callum Jackson: here
Cameron Resner: Big show. Went on for five hours.
Callum Jackson: Did it?
Cameron Resner: I didn't watch any of it. yeah
Callum Jackson: No, it didn't.
Cameron Resner: It did. I think so.
Callum Jackson: Fuck. Okay, cool.
Cameron Resner: Including the pre-show. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: What time did it start for us? Like, what time would it have been?
Cameron Resner: Midnight or one or half twelve or something like that.
Callum Jackson: Oh, okay, yeah. Yeah, I was asleep, yeah. I didn't watch it either.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. and
Callum Jackson: I caught the highlights.
Cameron Resner: So late one. Claire Obscure winning game of the year. Of course.
Callum Jackson: Didn't it win, like, eight awards or something?
Cameron Resner: Yeah. and
Callum Jackson: The most in Game Award history.
Cameron Resner: really? We didn't know that.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, I think I saw that, yeah.
Cameron Resner: Marvelous.
Callum Jackson: that's That, i hope, this this game all the same with Oscars, that it doesn't really matter, but you just hope that that winning so many wakes some studios up.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, you'd hope so.
Callum Jackson: Because like an indie dev just came in out of nowhere and was like, hmm.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, i think that might be the most indie game to...
Callum Jackson: Because it's not even game, it's, sorry, it's not even... just getting in game of the year, like getting eight awards. That means they just hit it home on all fucking aspects, basically.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: So hoping that a means good things to come.
Cameron Resner: Yes, i I would hope so.
Callum Jackson: And would you say that good things are coming from the games that were shown? Mm-hmm.
Cameron Resner: I would, yes. Apart from... Well, we'll start with the most important announcement that Lenny Kravitz is the new Bond villain.
Callum Jackson: Who is that?
Cameron Resner: Who is that?
Callum Jackson: Who is that?
Cameron Resner: um
Callum Jackson: Yeah, sorry, because I saw him.
Cameron Resner: Look him up.
Callum Jackson: Okay, yeah.
Cameron Resner: he's like ah He's a singer. He's quite a famous singer. He does...
Callum Jackson: I heard that he was, but...
Cameron Resner: What has he sung?
Callum Jackson: I'm looking at him now.
Cameron Resner: He's the father of...
Callum Jackson: Oh.
Cameron Resner: Catwoman in Batman.
Callum Jackson: Fuck, is he in... Is he, um... is he Is he in the Hunger Games? What character?
Cameron Resner: Yes, he is. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yes. Oh, fuck. He's the designer, right? the
Cameron Resner: Yeah, yeah. maybe a bit
Callum Jackson: I forgot his name, but... Yeah. Yeah, the I know who he Yes, yes. Oh, okay.
Cameron Resner: Interesting, yes.
Callum Jackson: That's cool. Yeah.
Cameron Resner: I didn't expect that, but he seems seems quite cool from the trailer, but we shall see. Very bad.
Callum Jackson: I didn't actually watch the new trailer. Was that yesterday's trailer?
Cameron Resner: Yeah, it just showed mostly old stuff and then just him coming out of the shadows. Like, yeah, boy. Yeah. man
Callum Jackson: did he not Was he not dressed in makeup like Hunger Games?
Cameron Resner: No, definitely not.
Callum Jackson: Oh, okay.
Cameron Resner: shut out Just looking what famous songs he does.
Callum Jackson: That's disappointment.
Cameron Resner: is He's a big boy, but oh are you going to go my way? Hmm.
Callum Jackson: Sinner. I had to look it up. His name's Sinner in Hunger Games.
Cameron Resner: ah sin a yes
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Well, yeah, that the biggest news. um
Callum Jackson: Yep.
Cameron Resner: We'll go down the smaller news now. We'll start from the beginning.
Callum Jackson: Oh, yeah.
Cameron Resner: Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic.
Callum Jackson: Was that the first thing they showed?
Cameron Resner: I think so, yeah. I think I've got a list in order.
Callum Jackson: God.
Callum Jackson: um
Cameron Resner: Directed by the people, the guy from Bioware who did the originals.
Callum Jackson: Yeah. And Mass Effect, right?
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: m
Cameron Resner: Yes.
Callum Jackson: Now, I would be really excited, but there's been two Star Wars games in the past 10 years that have shown barely anything in their trailers, and then just not here.
Cameron Resner: The KOTOR remake, one of them.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, yeah, and um Star Wars Eclipse. we I think that was seven years ago, that trailer.
Cameron Resner: Yes. Yeah. Total Eclipse of the Heart.
Callum Jackson: And nothing I think that high or that yeah the High Republic, the new one, the one that Acolyte's about, which after Acolyte, I feel like they probably have just quietly cancelled that and still not telling anyone, but...
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: um I don't actually I think the High Republic would be a good like time to set in like a game or a show or a film but when you start it with a you know like because most people watch stuff so the fact because I have the first book I only got halfway it's not like it I know a lot about it but they did keep making novels on it and I feel like it's quite liked by people that Actually, I've read them.
Callum Jackson: So, yeah, it's just a shame that the acolyte kicked it off on a...
Cameron Resner: Yeah, myself.
Cameron Resner: on a sour note.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, little bit.
Cameron Resner: But who knows? I don't think this had a date on it.
Callum Jackson: No, that's what the fear is. And it didn't even really show anything. So, um yeah, ah ah we'll either see it in 7 to 10 years or it'll be cancelled.
Cameron Resner: I think we will see it, but it'll be a very long time.
Callum Jackson: yeah Yeah, this one, maybe third time's the charm, and we will actually see this one.
Cameron Resner: I just feel like there's got to be a point where they someone at Disney is like sort this out like what are you doing like please isn't that Ray film cancelled God
Callum Jackson: It seems like... What studio was making it?
Callum Jackson: You would hope so, wouldn't you? With the um franchise that is Star Wars. but um Yeah, it doesn't feel like it's going anywhere. Even their next film, Mandalorian and Grogu, I'm like, okay, who cares about this?
Cameron Resner: yeah
Callum Jackson: weird place I don't know how Star Wars got there but it is um the other one linking on Star Wars was the uh yeah that that looks like a bit of fun because I liked the pod racing games um the Star Wars racer games so yeah that but again that'll be because I'm not too deep into races I'll play that for like an hour or two and probably put it down
Cameron Resner: The Galactic Racer.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, no, that looks cool. I like the noise of it.
Cameron Resner: They call it an action game, they' not a racer.
Callum Jackson: Oh, interesting. So it might...
Cameron Resner: On like the news stuff.
Callum Jackson: help Well, pod racing does have a bit of aggression to it, so
Cameron Resner: So... Yeah. I wonder if you'll have more of a, <unk> i don't know, like a story or something, like something you're actually doing.
Callum Jackson: I reckon it will be good.
Cameron Resner: It's not just racing people.
Callum Jackson: um And it'll probably be like that Star Wars Squadrons game that came out, you know, a lower budget.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: um not that Not that that reflects the game at all, but like Star Wars Squadrons, I think it was £35 on release.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: I'm not expecting that anymore, but probably like £50. And then it's just like pretty much a racer with like, obviously you said action. So some action elements in it, I could imagine.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Yes. What's the guy? What's the guy called? Who's the the enemy?
Callum Jackson: Dominic Terrell.
Cameron Resner: No. The enemy of Sebulba, yeah.
Callum Jackson: Sebulba.
Cameron Resner: He appears at the end of the trailer, doesn't he?
Callum Jackson: I did see that, but, and it also, he had like a beard and shit, so he lived, I guess.
Cameron Resner: Older. um
Callum Jackson: Somehow Sebulba returned.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, because these games are all in canon, so...
Callum Jackson: Yes, and all the comic books and all the the books that they write, that they're all canon.
Cameron Resner: Everything. No.
Callum Jackson: They don't retcon it at all.
Cameron Resner: No.
Callum Jackson: They never change anything.
Cameron Resner: so bulb Maybe this is alternate universe where Sebulba won.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, Anakin's dead. And the galaxy's just turned...
Cameron Resner: Anakin's head and the galaxy's fine.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, it's all good.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, it's all good.
Callum Jackson: And it's just turned into a big racing ah universe.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Max.
Callum Jackson: Galaxy.
Cameron Resner: Far, far a max away. um
Callum Jackson: yeah Yeah.
Cameron Resner: But yeah, looking forward to that. I think that'd be quite cool. Different.
Callum Jackson: Sorry, was there... I said a minute ago, but was there a studio that was making these games? Or...
Cameron Resner: It's called Fuse Games.
Callum Jackson: What, for both of them?
Cameron Resner: Um, no, just this one.
Callum Jackson: Oh, okay.
Cameron Resner: I think they're all outside of EA.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Good. Like more stuff getting out of there.
Callum Jackson: I want them outside of EA and Ubisoft. I want it far away from both companies.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. I was trying to think of where, where Fuse Games, what they've made. Um, I don't know where that name rings a bell, but maybe they're on you.
Cameron Resner: Um,
Callum Jackson: Fuse was a game.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, no it's not Fuse. I think they are a new studio.
Callum Jackson: But...
Callum Jackson: Yeah, I think both of them look quite good, though.
Cameron Resner: And I think the, yeah, I think the Fate of the Old Republic is a new studio as well. So.
Callum Jackson: that So they're probably going to be good.
Cameron Resner: m Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yeah. You can't fuck up Star Wars anymore, I mean.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, yeah. So, no.
Callum Jackson: You're not on the allowed to, I'm afraid. Everyone's spent their fuck-ups. It's time to make something good with the brand that is Star Wars. Like, for real. For real, for real.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: but No, seriously, like but they need to make something good.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I know.
Callum Jackson: Because I saw it this one, up it popped up, the the um is it Fate of the Old Republic?
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, that, it popped up and I was like, oh, finally, like a ah new actual, like something completely new in Star Wars.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: And then I watched it and it was just like nothing again. It was like the Star Wars Eclipse trailer or the Knights of the Old Republic one.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: And i was just like, oh, okay. And then I just completely was uninterested because I was like, this is literally bare minimum. This is like concept.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Like you guys have sat in a room and gone, I have an idea. Should we try it
Cameron Resner: That's AI a trailer together.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, but um if it's like x by i like all these indie developers like the Embark Studios and I don't know their name but the ones that made Claire Obscure they have come from bigger companies and have shown it shown them the bigger companies is how it's done And I'm just hoping, you know, this guy, or who was it?
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: that it Was it a woman or a man? who Who's doing this game? The one from Bioware?
Cameron Resner: Man. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Okay. Yeah, I don't know his name, but the fact that he'd done the original ones, the ones that people love, and he'd done Mass Effect, I'm like, this could be really good.
Cameron Resner: Casey Johnson.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: So...
Cameron Resner: It's just one.
Callum Jackson: Hmm.
Cameron Resner: Because he was, yeah, I think he went back to work on Mass Effect again and then left again.
Callum Jackson: Oh, what, Mass Effect 4?
Cameron Resner: Yeah, or or Dragon and Age, one of them.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: So it's just a wild that they just can sort their shit out and just be like, okay, you can make this.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: There.
Callum Jackson: yeah Yeah, literally. like And it's EA as well, when they had the license.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. they they Yeah. They did the original games.
Callum Jackson: That's what... These fucking companies, are just they're just actually blind.
Cameron Resner: It's wild.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Good they've made it out of that. They're grasps.
Callum Jackson: Yep.
Cameron Resner: Maybe actually make something that they want to make.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, I'm glad stuff like that, you know, like Star Wars is a bit more open now. It shouldn't have been exclusive to EA in the first place.
Cameron Resner: No, I mean, what did we get?
Callum Jackson: um
Cameron Resner: Three games in that 10 years?
Callum Jackson: ah Yeah, in that time, yeah, we got three games and then obviously they made Jedi Survivor 2, or Jedi Survivor, but that that was when it was open at that point.
Cameron Resner: Four?
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: so But like Star Wars shouldn't have been limited to a company, especially not one like EA.
Cameron Resner: No, definitely not.
Callum Jackson: Like, come on. Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Should be like, just like, everyone bring us your best ideas.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, and then they should have chosen.
Cameron Resner: We'll do it.
Callum Jackson: But again, this was when Disney didn't know what the fuck they were doing with games either. And they were like, oh, just give it to a company that pays us the most. That we think will earn us the most money.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: You can tell that was what they've done. But yeah. um Am I excited... Yeah, a little bit. ah But I don't care as much for Star Wars as I once did.
Callum Jackson: So yeah if it comes through and it's great, i'll I'll love it because it is Star Wars. But I haven't had much hope for Star Wars in some time.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: So we shall see.
Cameron Resner: That's very fair. We shall stay in a time far, far away.
Callum Jackson: shall see if it will itll be good and re-spark. Yeah.
Cameron Resner: and Maybe in this galaxy.
Callum Jackson: Anything else you wish to...
Cameron Resner: Nothing on those ones, but I've lost...
Callum Jackson: I mean, there's loads to talk about.
Callum Jackson: But there's... Yeah. I mean, yeah, there's loads to... what What do you think about it, though, before we carry on?
Cameron Resner: ah Yeah, hi i'm I'm keen to try. I've always wanted to try KOTOR and KOTOR 2, but they're just old and clunky. So i think, and given that I enjoyed like Baldur's Gate a couple of years ago and I think this could be up my alley when it comes out.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Maybe when I'm 40. I'm for something a bit slower.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: I can't play COD anymore or a Battlefield because my fingers are fucked.
Callum Jackson: um
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: I feel that now.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Like, um I forget game controls when I switch games, or I'm pressing the button for a different game.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Can't believe it happened. I mocked my father for that, but...
Cameron Resner: je One day you'll lose your hands.
Callum Jackson: Right.
Cameron Resner: um
Callum Jackson: Right. So, any Well, obviously there's more, but which...
Cameron Resner: The next one I add was control.
Callum Jackson: Oh, yeah.
Cameron Resner: president
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Which looks quite beefy.
Callum Jackson: That looks fucking good. I was... ah and When I saw it, I was like, okay, cool. Sequel. um' That was the first trailer I actually watched from like looking at the announcements.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: And I was... i like those action games anyway, but...
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Oh, fuck me. When it turned into that instead of shooting again, I was like, oh, yeah. It was like the fucking devil may cry in control.
Cameron Resner: Oh, yeah. No, it was...
Callum Jackson: i was Yeah, i was like, it it looked smooth as well. Like, it looked just right.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: It wasn't another fucking Souls-like game. It was more Devil May Cry vibes. And I love Devil May Cry.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: And I was just like, this is... That's gonna fucking hit a spot for sure.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm. Yeah. No, I think... I played half of the first one, but I think it wasn't running well when I was playing it or something.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: I can't remember. um But I know it's better now.
Callum Jackson: See... the
Cameron Resner: But and but this one intrigues me more because of that combat.
Callum Jackson: yeah, yeah, it's good now. But...
Cameron Resner: I liked when I saw it I was like, hmm.
Callum Jackson: It was kind...
Cameron Resner: I don't know if I would have necessarily got it if it was just the shooting again, even though that was cool. But...
Callum Jackson: Yeah, no, I agree. I actually agree because there was like a thing in the first game where you're shooting, you have different guns and then sort of like force powers.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: But the force powers were the parts that were really cool.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: So the fact that it's fighting and hopefully, you know, some more of those powers going on would be even cooler.
Cameron Resner: Another Star Wars game.
Callum Jackson: Yeah. But um I remember the the first control was the thing that sold me on getting Epic so I could play it. And it was also ray tracing.
Cameron Resner: Yes.
Callum Jackson: It was like the first sort of, not the first game, but the first one that I went, oh shit, ray tracing. So I tried it on there and then our PCs are not stronger, but... um then I remember years later it was on like PS Plus or something so I was like oh fuck it I'll play it again um performance mode but I didn't like finish it on PC but I did go back and get the Platinum and play all the DLCs so yeah I really like Control
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Seemed like her and another addition to the Alan Wake universe.
Callum Jackson: yeah I like that they're doing that as well it's all just a bit fucked over there I still need to play Alan Wake 2 fully
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah.
Cameron Resner: i
Callum Jackson: but I've been meaning to get around to that. But yeah, ah when the time comes, I will be finishing it.
Cameron Resner: Yes, marvelous. I don't know when, I don't think that was a release date on that.
Callum Jackson: Yeah. Very looking forward to that.
Cameron Resner: I think it was.
Callum Jackson: No, I don't think so, but it should be like next year with how it looked. And ah yeah, I'm, I'm really looking forward to it.
Cameron Resner: Yes.
Callum Jackson: Probably out of everything I saw or heard of, that's one. I think it's because it was a surprise as well.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: They changed up everything about the first game, but it's just in the same universe. It's,
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Very cool idea. That's pretty much what a sequel should be. Yeah,
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Agreed.
Callum Jackson: yeah and yeah they they surprised me with that, and i was like, oh, cool. that's That's made me more interested because it's not just me floating around and throwing things again.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: So, yeah.
Cameron Resner: It's a different experience, which is very...
Callum Jackson: Yeah, so very, very, very looking forward to it.
Cameron Resner: good
Callum Jackson: But maybe that's why they didn't call it straight up like Control 2, you know?
Cameron Resner: Yeah. It's a different...
Callum Jackson: So, yeah. But, yeah, well done on that.
Cameron Resner: It's
Callum Jackson: It looks very intriguing.
Cameron Resner: Well done, show.
Callum Jackson: Very much looking forward to that.
Cameron Resner: um the other one The other game that I actually just watched a trailer for beforehand but I didn't actually watch until then was a game called No Law. Did you see this?
Callum Jackson: Oh, no, what was... I've i've heard...
Cameron Resner: Have quick look. So you remember that game, The Ascent, where we tried to play it and it was like that cut?
Callum Jackson: Yes, yeah, yeah, it was that one, yeah.
Cameron Resner: So these people have made it. But it's like a first-person shooter, like RPG. And it's like you could Far Cry.
Callum Jackson: Oh, and it looks sort of cyberpunk-ish.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, it's like Cyberpunk and Far Cry.
Callum Jackson: Yes, I did see that, but yeah.
Cameron Resner: um The trailer looks pretty cool. i'm I like the look of this, am especially from that team, because I remember the Ascent just being okay.
Cameron Resner: I mean, we didn't play much of it but it was...
Callum Jackson: No, we didn't. But maybe that is something that I would go back to now.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: I think it might have just been the timing. But after my love of Cyberpunk, I think I could... Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, you could give a But yeah, go watch the trailer for that because it looks quite cool.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, good. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: I will. I think I... Because I went through them all earlier. I think I was skimming them and that's when I skimmed. I remember like him kicking someone or something.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: But... Yeah. um Yeah, I will give that. I'm going to put that on my list now to watch.
Cameron Resner: And what was the next game on your, um what did what else did you watch?
Callum Jackson: all well
Cameron Resner: Mega Man, Jewel Override.
Callum Jackson: no um our most anticipated game that we'll be getting next year that me and you are going to play through like we did the first Lords of the Fallen 2
Cameron Resner: Oh, yes. What, the two point the update trailer?
Callum Jackson: no Lords of the Fallen 2 there's a sequel yes like did you not see it
Cameron Resner: Oh. Oh, did they show it to Oh. No, I didn't.
Callum Jackson: oh Oh, you might like the look of it then.
Cameron Resner: No. It's not even on my list, I think.
Callum Jackson: It looks like they've upgraded. Do you know like, so every other game, here's something, I know it sounds so little, but so every other Souls game kind of things that copy it.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: These guys look like with this one, they've taken everything they learn and it looks like they've gone, ah should we just take it in a little bit of a different direction because everything's like a Souls game.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: And this little edition has changed it up for me and it's there's dismemberment.
Cameron Resner: Oh, nice.
Callum Jackson: Like, on the bosses. Like, you can take off their limbs as you're fighting them.
Cameron Resner: That's your phone. Very nice.
Callum Jackson: And I saw, like, there was a bit where he was just using his fucking fists. And there's a bit at the end where you have a chain and you're wrapping it around the boss's head.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: And you're just like, it'sli it's like God of War shit. And you're, like, fucking tightening this chain to pull off their head. It's fucking...
Cameron Resner: nice and pop.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, it did it did look quite cool. But, I mean, i have actually wanted to... play a little bit more of the first one. It's not something I'm going to rush to the store to get Lords of the Fallen 2 unless I see more of it.
Cameron Resner: No.
Callum Jackson: But at the moment, I was i was intrigued. that I was like, oh, the selling point here is kind of dismemberment. So having that sort of newish feature to a soul... Because I don't... Are souls like that? No, they're not.
Cameron Resner: No, yeah.
Callum Jackson: You don't like this take off their body part.
Cameron Resner: i know
Callum Jackson: I mean, there might be bosses that you start...
Cameron Resner: In the first Noxols, you can take off their tails, but it's not like it's just kind of pops off. It doesn't.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, well I reckon this, I don't know, this is just me ah making assumptions here, but um I feel like this is going to be targeting different limbs, and I reckon like they will get weaker over time as the boss fight goes on, and you know if you're just aiming for the head, you could probably, yeah.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm. Doing certain and things.
Callum Jackson: So I feel like that will be what they're doing, but it it looked cool enough, but Again, we didn't really even try to go back to the first one, so it's not a game that I'm like, oh, I need to rush to the store. But it it was interesting enough to mention.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I'll have a look at that. I'll have a look at the trailer after this. because That is intriguing. Because, yeah, I think they are probably one of the the best of the Dark Souls
Cameron Resner: genre outside of Luxembourg.
Callum Jackson: Copycats.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: It's not really copycats anymore. It's just a new way of gear.
Callum Jackson: It is just a genre.
Cameron Resner: A new way doing game.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, I agree.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Oh, sorry, before we go on, but while we're talking about Souls-like games, I think I know what pisses me off about them. And someone commented this, I think, on...
Callum Jackson: on maybe this video, that's what saw it, and then I was like, oh, because I play the Jedi games and I love them, and I even think Sekiro's the better one of the Souls games.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Okay. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: um
Cameron Resner: yeah
Callum Jackson: And I think it's the the combat itself and how fast you can react.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: So with like, what is it? um You know, I haven't played Bloodborne, so I think I might actually like that one as well. But with like ah Dark Souls and Elden Ring, I feel like it's this guy, this guy like hit the noun head and went, that's probably it.
Cameron Resner: Yep. Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: He's like, you're fighting these fucking mammoth enemies. They all look great. Everything's cool. But you move like a fucking slug. And i know I know that you can change that so you can have like different approaches.
Callum Jackson: But I feel like your stamina and how you move in these games and it's all slow and heavy doesn't compute with my brain when the when the ah pretty much every enemy throws a thousand punches at me in a second.
Callum Jackson: And they're just as geared up.
Cameron Resner: yeah
Callum Jackson: Because like when you play Jedi, I'm like, I'm a fucking Jedi and you're moving quick, you know? And then Sekiro is the same.
Cameron Resner: yeah I think that yeah i think the the yeah the thing they do is they you kind of there's no like cancelling or quitting an attack really like once you attack you're in it so it's like yeah it's quite it's different to yeah like a Jedi survivor or Sekiro where you're just like so fast it doesn't matter
Callum Jackson: So, yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yes. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, and I think I like the... was it? Counter and parrying and stuff? ah that That gameplay where you're tapping like on beat with someone.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: works so much better for my head than just dodge rolling or blocking. that like that That feature of getting in the rhythm of parrying is really satisfying to me.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: like When it just hits it this goes...
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: like It's on every game that does it. when you like Especially the lightsabers feel good, but like every hit and it's just bouncing back is really good. Yeah. Yeah, but I think that might be it. That might be why I'm like, fuck this game, and I always just drop them, and I'm like, I don't want to do this anymore. anymore That and the running back and forth every time you die and you have to do a whole mission.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, nice.
Callum Jackson: I know Elden Ring's different for that, but I'm talking about the other one.
Cameron Resner: I
Callum Jackson: Right, now, that's out the way. Now that I've figured out my...
Cameron Resner: figured out your hatred.
Callum Jackson: My hatred for those... No, I don't hate them. I just... I don't... They don't click with my brain. But yes, let us move on. There is another game, sorry, that i that I actually did have.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, go on.
Callum Jackson: And like... Did you see a game called Exodus?
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Cameron Resner: No, I didn't either. No.
Callum Jackson: Right, it's like what the IGN headline for it was, if Indiana Jones was mixed with Interstellar.
Cameron Resner: It's not even on my list either. No.
Callum Jackson: And i was like, okay, what the fuck are talking about? And no, it was. It did seem a very much like saving humanity vibes, but also the adventure was there. I think i don't think it i can't actually say it is, but like ex-developers, I don't think it is, but it's definitely Mass Effect vibes.
Callum Jackson: And Matthew McConaughey did voice is voicing someone in the game.
Cameron Resner: really? Okay.
Callum Jackson: Yeah. So when he started speaking in the trailer, was like, is that why you said Interstellar?
Cameron Resner: That's pretty cool.
Callum Jackson: But um yeah, no, that did look good. It looks very Mass Effect-y and I'm hoping it is. I don't know it much about it other than the trailer, but the trailer looked pretty cool. It was very much...
Cameron Resner: It is by, yeah, Bioware developers.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: So, yeah.
Callum Jackson: Oh, it was... well Okay. So everyone's left Bioware and gone, let's just make Mass Effect.
Cameron Resner: Everyone's there, yeah.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Cool. I like that.
Cameron Resner: I don't think that new Mass Effect game's coming out.
Callum Jackson: but liara was in the trailer i don't know at this point i don't actually no don't know at this point leave it as the trilogy do you know what i could do with yeah i liked andromeda i was probably one of the minority but i i i didn't mind it can i tell you anything that happened in it like nine years after it came out no
Cameron Resner: But do you want it? Do you want them to butcher it? I was going to say,
Cameron Resner: do you want Did you like the fourth one?
Cameron Resner: Okay. Yeah.
Cameron Resner: But do you want them to do that? Do you want an Andromeda? Do you you want them to do that same kind of game or the same level of quality with people that were in like the first three games?
Callum Jackson: Do you know what you've you've made? You're making a good point. I think, and I also, I'm just holding on to the nostalgia.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: If you're not going to, because the last good Bioware game was probably Mass Effect 3 and even that people have problems with. So that was 2012, 2013, 2012, I think.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: So that's a long time ago now. um So, yeah, no, I'm happy for these new... i'm I'm happy for these new studios. Like, I want to play these games. I think it's just the fact of, you know, it's kind of it's the same when The Force Awakens came out. was like, oh, Han Solo's back, Luke Skywalker, Leia.
Callum Jackson: It's that sort of thing. It's like, oh, but like, in the trailer, I know nothing about Mass Effect 4, except Liara was there.
Cameron Resner: see let me okay
Cameron Resner: yeah
Callum Jackson: And i was like, oh, Liara, that was my space girlfriend. So that was... the reason why I was like, I'm coming back. But yeah, i no. If they, again, probably because I am this kind of person and I like the games that i did play, like the stories that we've had over the, you know, since our childhoods of playing games, just remake them, but very faithfully, I think.
Callum Jackson: And you can't go wrong. i would I would settle for a Metal Gear Delta version of the Mass Effect trilogy.
Cameron Resner: yeah I feel like they should just do something like that.
Callum Jackson: Because you don't need to change. They're timeless. They honestly are. Just don't ah just don't change them.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: just Just update the graphics.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Tweak the gameplay. Ship it out. And to be honest, I'm happy with the Legendary Edition.
Cameron Resner: If you're not going to.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, they're they're more than fun. I don't really need these remakes. I just like them. that's That's where I stand on them.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: um I'm happy with ports as well now at this point.
Cameron Resner: if you're not gonna
Callum Jackson: Like like I said, i think it was last week that I said I just want Infamous and Killzone on a new newer hardware. Like, I don't need them to look better. play The only thing would be like 60 FPS and HD.
Callum Jackson: That's my only wish for these games.
Cameron Resner: yeah
Callum Jackson: That's That's as...
Callum Jackson: bare minimum I could ask for, to be honest, but...
Cameron Resner: Sometimes it's not possible.
Callum Jackson: Yeah. No, it's not, clearly.
Cameron Resner: Apparently.
Callum Jackson: But yeah, so, very much looking forward to that.
Cameron Resner: was talking of remakes. The Tomb Raider Legend of Legacy of Atlantis.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, that's an actual, like, retelling?
Cameron Resner: which is the second remake. Well, I mean, you've got Tomb Raider Anniversary, which is also a retelling and a remake.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Oh, is it?
Cameron Resner: And then you...
Callum Jackson: Oh, yes, it is, isn't it?
Cameron Resner: Yeah, because you have Tomb Raider Legend that came out, and then Anniversary came out, and it continued the story of Legend, but with the first game.
Callum Jackson: that What, the... Yes. Yeah, yeah.
Cameron Resner: And then...
Callum Jackson: Oh, yeah.
Cameron Resner: And then now this.
Callum Jackson: I didn't even clock onto that. Do you know? like I didn't even register, but yeah, yeah.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: And then this, yeah.
Cameron Resner: Then this is the third. When I saw this trailer first and I was like, was like, is that? Because there was bit of rumors for a Tomb Raider game for a long time.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: I'm glad they showed the second one, the second thing. But I was like, guys, come on.
Callum Jackson: Yes. Yeah, me too. No, yeah, when I saw it, because I saw that first and I was like, oh, this was all what the hype was about. And I thought maybe they would have used this as like a new stepping point, which clearly it does look like.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I think they are, yeah.
Callum Jackson: But I did, when I saw it was like a retelling, i was like, fuck me. didn Come on, you've just released like the HD collection too. Or, you know, yeah, crazy.
Cameron Resner: It does look cool though. I think it's got like a bit of Max Payne-y kind of jumping bullet time kind of thing, which is interesting.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, it it reminded me more of the Legends ones, like Legends Anniversary and Underworld, but obviously very much new.
Cameron Resner: Oh yeah, yeah. Definitely. But it's... Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it kind of was it's kind of like a mix of both of like the original and the Legend one. because it's kind of She was like as athletic, as which is cool.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: I think the most recent triy of trilogy of Tomb Raider games were cool, but they didn't they didn't have that kind of like, you're a crazy athlete kind of flipping around and
Callum Jackson: They didn't, they chased Uncharted.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, which is cool. they like I like the games.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: They're very cool But it was just like, okay, now I'm ready to go back to a more traditional.
Callum Jackson: No, I agree. It's like perfect timing, isn't it? It's kind of... do you know like how Batman and Robin was shit on? But you enjoyed it as a kid, and then you grow up and you're like, no, they were shit. And then you grow up some more and you go, no, they're a bit of fun.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: It's that. It's like 2013, you're like, oh yeah, dark, gritty Lara.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: That's pretty cool, because it also made it a bit different from Uncharted and the original Lara Cross. And then the new one you're like, cause it's been like 2013, that first one came out. So now you're like, Oh man, I wish she was doing front flips again.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: And now she is.
Cameron Resner: Now she's back. And I think there's a, I think the, because Amazon are doing a film or a series and I think that's actually linked to the game because Amazon's making these games.
Callum Jackson: yeah
Callum Jackson: Yeah, I was under the impression, is it Sophie Turner that's going play her?
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: I was under the impression the games were going to use her face model, which I'm glad they're not.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, thought they would. But, uh,
Callum Jackson: But I thought they would. But I'm glad they're not. so
Cameron Resner: But i think it is ah I think it is supposed to be like it all in one, which is interesting.
Callum Jackson: Shared universe.
Cameron Resner: Especially if we get, yeah, this new one in 2020, or the remake in 2026, the new one in 2027, and then you get a TV show alongside that, think that's quite cool.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, did you?
Cameron Resner: And again, if they take that TV show back to more, because I really like the first two Raider movies. I think they're pretty cool. I like going back to, yeah.
Callum Jackson: with Angelina Jolie.
Cameron Resner: They're like so stupid, but they they're just fun to watch, I think.
Callum Jackson: I can't actually comment much. The second one has actually left my brain, but is the first one with the...
Cameron Resner: Yeah, the second one. It's got Daniel Craig in it.
Callum Jackson: She's practicing... Yes, that she's practicing with a robot.
Cameron Resner: Yes, at the beginning, yeah.
Callum Jackson: The weird droide car. I should watch these again. The second one, she punches a shark.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, she does.
Callum Jackson: Okay, cool. Yeah.
Cameron Resner: She's punched her.
Callum Jackson: Yeah. Yeah.
Cameron Resner: um But yeah, I'm hoping the series kind of leans, because we got that film, the last film, which was basically just the 2013 Tomb Raider game, right?
Callum Jackson: Oh, yeah, it was, wasn't it?
Cameron Resner: And it was like the same conspiracies, yeah, all that kind of stuff.
Callum Jackson: That wasn't too bad of a film either, though.
Cameron Resner: Oh, I like it. I like it.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, that I remember that coming. It's probably better than the Uncharted one.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Cameron Resner: Yes, I would think so.
Callum Jackson: um Yeah, but yeah, no, that wasn't actually a bad film, but they didn't carry that on. But ah I think also what I liked in the the Catalyst trailer, so that the one that is a fresh new game, um what I liked is that you could hear the woman, I think it was the villain of the game.
Cameron Resner: No. No.
Callum Jackson: And she was like, oh you've there's so many legends of you that you've been to like the dragons triangle and atlantis and i was like oh so the 2013 game is like loosely in this world because yeah which i i do like i feel like james bond did a bit of that
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, it sounds like they're combining like all of them.
Cameron Resner: That was always kind of a prequel though, wasn't it? Like those three games.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, but I mean, like it's cool to know that is is she's like a legend, is what I'm getting at.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, that's still kind of... Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Callum Jackson: It's like, ooh, I heard this woman went to the Dragon's Trap. I'm like, oh, so you are just...
Cameron Resner: No.
Callum Jackson: it's It's not like you are that same person, but yeah there's so much like legend behind you.
Cameron Resner: Yeah,
Callum Jackson: It's kind of like Mad Max, where you could just change his face and it wouldn't matter.
Cameron Resner: yeah, yeah.
Callum Jackson: like the The game came out, the Mel Gibson ones, the Tom Hardy ones.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: I i wouldn't care who plays Mad Max.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: Just like, oh, it's this dude.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I think that, yeah, that kind of speaks to the fact that they're kind of leaning into the fact that she's she's not like a newbie or a fresh, like, she's like experienced and will be doing cool shit, hopefully.
Callum Jackson: like Yeah, it's that kind of thing.
Cameron Resner: sir Which I'm down for.
Callum Jackson: Yeah. And she's in the shorts and tank top again with dual pistols. So yeah, people were asking for that and she's back.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: But it's needed. So yeah.
Cameron Resner: It is required in this day and age.
Callum Jackson: And with the lack of those sorts of games and Indiana Jones being in first person, I'm glad that this is happening.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, getting lots of different vi types of things.
Callum Jackson: So... one of my yeah one of my favorite kind of genres, especially in gaming, so I'm really happy it's coming, to be honest. And i never really, because the PS1 games were fucking incredibly hard, I never got anywhere in them.
Cameron Resner: Oh, yeah. I bought the collection and I played the first two, but they are bedsled they like they're so they're like hard to control and then they're like also very confusing.
Callum Jackson: They're so hard. Oh.
Cameron Resner: So I'm like, I don't know what the fuck I'm going with.
Callum Jackson: Yeah. they yeah and Imagine playing notes without like the ease of our phone next to us to type in what the fuck to do.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I mean, I used to play them next to my granddaddy. He had them. And I used to be, like, just trying to learn the controls. And he'd like, just go there. And I'm like, what are you talking about?
Callum Jackson: What fuck do you mean?
Cameron Resner: Because, like, just to go there, you'd have to be, like, you'd have to, like, press five buttons at a time.
Callum Jackson: We were different.
Cameron Resner: You're like, okay, cool. I've made it to this place now. Where the fuck do I go?
Callum Jackson: Yeah, it's how you can control her to sort of jump in a certain way, isn't it
Cameron Resner: Yeah, yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Good fun.
Cameron Resner: but very exciting. um I think they were the main games. Did you have any others?
Callum Jackson: um Not really, but because I'm looking right now, um I feel like I would like to talk about this just quickly because it's on subject. um There's a game, I have no idea what the fuck it is, but it's called High Guard. I'm just looking at a list, by the way.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Oh my God.
Callum Jackson: Hi, Soph. yeah I'm just looking at a list and um there's a game called High Guard coming out and it says a new first person shooter ah from ah the former team of Apex Legend developers and I'm like another former group from another company have gone fuck this I'm making own game.
Callum Jackson: Like that's happening so much.
Cameron Resner: yeah yeah i just saw another one as well uh coven of the chicken of the chicken foot who was and it's made by the guy who co-directed the last of us and uncharted 4 so yeah
Callum Jackson: The fuck is that?
Callum Jackson: Oh God. Okay. Yeah. I mean, like it's, that there's tons of stuff and yeah, I mean, it's just good to see, to be honest.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, no, it's cool seeing people.
Callum Jackson: Um, I'm just glad that, you know, these, cause it's always the talented ones. It seems so far the ones with the, those new fresh ideas that the studios have probably gone.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: No, no, we're not making that now.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: We have to make a sequel and,
Cameron Resner: I mean, if they can go away and like create smaller studios that make smaller games but still as good, and then that don't cost fucking billions and need to sell like but billions of copies.
Callum Jackson: yeah
Callum Jackson: yeah it's just showing like um that you can do it yeah there's ah another one that i've just jesus christ there's another one cameron there's one called gang of dragon and it's by ah the yakuza developer but it's outside of sega
Cameron Resner: It's like the clear obscure thing. Mm-hmm.
Cameron Resner: Right.
Cameron Resner: Right.
Cameron Resner: Okay.
Callum Jackson: So he's made a new Yakuza-type game outside of his company that have funded him for 30 years.
Cameron Resner: Interesting.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Yes. You know, I watched that trailer actually. Yeah. It's got like the Wong in it, isn't it? Isn't it?
Callum Jackson: No, he's the guy that... He's not Wong. He's he's in Eternals.
Cameron Resner: Oh yeah.
Callum Jackson: He's the big, big fucker in it.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. That's yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, it yeah he's in it.
Cameron Resner: God.
Callum Jackson: But...
Cameron Resner: Racist. Um,
Callum Jackson: Do they all look the same?
Cameron Resner: They all look the same. God.
Callum Jackson: All these Marvel men. um but yeah And then probably our final game that we can sort of talk about, but to be honest, I don't give a fuck. um Actually, no, there's another one, but Resident Evil Requiem. Leon's in it.
Callum Jackson: um i And not that I don't give a fuck, I just don't get around to playing them. um Maybe you will like this one because you like Resident Evil 4. Maybe this will be a calling to you.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I don't know.
Callum Jackson: you say you don't care?
Cameron Resner: um
Cameron Resner: I don't know. Yeah, I like Resident Evil 4, but I prefer the third person. If if you can play it in third person from the beginning, I will, maybe.
Callum Jackson: You can.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: You can, like off the bat, you can switch. So, and I think they've even gone further to be like the cutscenes are in first and you when you're playing in first person and when you're playing in third, they're third.
Cameron Resner: yeah
Cameron Resner: Yeah, because I remember that about the 8th, Resident Evil 8, they like added third person in late, but it was like still you would switch between first person.
Callum Jackson: Oh, so like the new Avatar up update.
Cameron Resner: i up Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, yeah.
Cameron Resner: But if it's like, oh you can just go in and just play it all, and it looks like Resident Evil 4, then yeah.
Callum Jackson: There's ah another game called For Loop.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: Did you see that? It literally just looks like Helldivers. I'm like, these guys are a bit late.
Cameron Resner: No, I shouldn't
Callum Jackson: like It's like live, die, repeat in Helldivers. You die and then you get re-brought back to life and then you die. and then Yeah, but it's more on the Helldivers thing.
Cameron Resner: see that.
Callum Jackson: So I was like, I've got Helldivers. i don't It didn't really like scratch any itch. And then I think...
Callum Jackson: there There was like a few other games.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: There's one where you play as a dog called the Free Shepherd, which looked quite cool. um And yeah, just a few other games.
Cameron Resner: Nice.
Callum Jackson: um If you like platformers, Bradley the Badger looks quite fun.
Cameron Resner: Bradley the Badger.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, like so there was like levels based off like Bloodborne, Cyberpunk, Last of Us. It's kind of like Banjo-Kazooie.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, that's cool.
Callum Jackson: um but he like kind of breaks his world and then goes into different worlds by the looks of things. So yeah, that looks that looks like quite a fun um platformer. And then the last last thing, unless there's something else you want to talk about on here.
Cameron Resner: No, I think those are the main ones.
Callum Jackson: Okay. The last thing I'd like to mention, which I haven't watched the trailer because it was just a cinematic one. That statue, it wasn't Bloodborne or Elder Scrolls. It was Divinity, a new one.
Cameron Resner: Oh, yes. Yes. That trader was interesting.
Callum Jackson: Yeah. So that, yeah.
Cameron Resner: We'll just go.
Callum Jackson: And that, that's the people that you told me make, um, boulders go.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: okay
Callum Jackson: So yeah, I'm sure people were going to lose their fucking minds over that.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I'm very keen to see that.
Callum Jackson: But
Cameron Resner: I liked div visit it at divinity was and it's slightly different like Divinity. was... Baldur's Gate, but it had kind of more interactivity with the world.
Cameron Resner: like You could like set with elements. You could like set things on fire and do things like that.
Callum Jackson: yeah.
Cameron Resner: So this is interesting. It seems like it's going to be a bigger game. And they're just calling it Divinity, which is interesting.
Callum Jackson: big balls are they is it more gritty and dark than both would you say yeah
Cameron Resner: So...
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I think so. It's like a darker fantasy. this I think the guy I the guy i played as in when i was played when I played it, it was like a skeleton that would literally go and cut people's skins off and wear them.
Cameron Resner: You'd disguise yourselves as people. So I was like, okay, cool.
Callum Jackson: like okay oh yeah
Cameron Resner: Yeah. But yeah, so I think Baldur's Gate is like more like traditional fantasy, I'd say. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: So that's also interesting. It's going to be a different vibe. But I don't it think there's a release date on that one either. It's going to be a while.
Callum Jackson: No. No. A lot of things are... It said like 26, but none of them really gave an actual date.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: um You know, they said 26 or 27, but again, yeah, nothing really gave a date other but than that.
Cameron Resner: All quite ambiguous.
Callum Jackson: But it looked like everything except from that Star Wars game did say about 26, 27, think.
Cameron Resner: Oh nice.
Callum Jackson: um but who knows who knows
Cameron Resner: Oh nice.
Callum Jackson: who knows things get delayed all the time and i'd rather things delayed but actually come out and you know be playable so you know there'ss there's there's i've got a massive backlog anyway so i'm i'm i'm quite happy i'm i'm sure um no one's going to want to release next year around gta so
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Cameron Resner: It's satiated.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, if they stop pushing it, then maybe.
Callum Jackson: if it comes out again. ah I just think it was fun. I think um one of our friends said, ah this was ages ago, that they thought it was coming out early this year.
Callum Jackson: I laughed then and I laughed now.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: But then they were like, oh, it may be late. and then But then they thought that the online was coming as well with it and i was like, yeah, because the online came with GTA V, didn't it? And also...
Cameron Resner: Yeah, they better have their shit together more than the first time.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, the online needs to sort of hit the ground running, I'm afraid.
Cameron Resner: Even if it's like two weeks, like if they need to be like, okay, single player comes out there, multiplayer comes out here, and there, because I remember the, I mean, they said they were talking about heists for two years before they came into multiplayer.
Cameron Resner: It's like, guys, what are you doing?
Callum Jackson: fucking ridiculous. And that's like... Yeah,
Cameron Resner: And that's what, they didn't know really know how big it would be, that's fair enough, but now I'm like, you know.
Callum Jackson: yeah now you know how big it's going to be and how much money it makes you.
Cameron Resner: There better be a lot of content in there. It better not be like completely ridiculous to like get cool stuff and shit. so Yeah, I guess so.
Callum Jackson: i think I think to be honest they're going to release it and probably not learn their lesson too much. Do you know why I think GTA 5 they're earning so much money for bare minimum right now?
Callum Jackson: And I feel like they will cash cow that until they have enough cash again which that of course they already do but until they have more so then they can properly fund GTA 6 online.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: But I mean, it's got to start with like, you've got to be able to do more. Because I remember when we first had it, I had on PS3. So I was playing with Richard and we all we done was go into a convenience store, rob it, then go to the mountain, get the cops on us, fight to the death, drive around.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Yeah. It's
Cameron Resner: taken 13 years.
Callum Jackson: That was it.
Callum Jackson: The amount of shit you can do now is really cool.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Cameron Resner: it's taken to thirteen years
Callum Jackson: But Yeah, yeah. And like you said, the heist coming in like two years after it launched is... Just think of that. Just actually... just think how fucking crazy that
Cameron Resner: And they kept saying, they were like, they're coming out soon. I think they before the game came out, they were like, heist will be out when multiplayer's out. And then they were like, no. It's like, how have you got it that wrong?
Cameron Resner: Two years. It's like, Jesus Christ.
Callum Jackson: And it's not even that great.
Cameron Resner: No, I mean, those first ones were, yeah. I mean, yeah.
Callum Jackson: They're good.
Cameron Resner: No.
Callum Jackson: Don't get me wrong. They're not two years good though.
Cameron Resner: No.
Callum Jackson: No, no.
Cameron Resner: I mean, yeah, i mean I think the best one was that last one they released, the one that we played over and over again.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: But um yeah, so there's more options.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, that was that was a good one. When you go to a different island. number one
Cameron Resner: No, yeah, that's...
Callum Jackson: But again, like this is... Okay, sorry. So this is what they need to do with this. You can't expect us to play a heist like 50 times to get anything.
Cameron Resner: no yeah that's
Callum Jackson: Because we just carried on.
Cameron Resner: yeah
Callum Jackson: We played that heist over and over and over again.
Cameron Resner: I feel like, I mean, Red red Dead 2 Online was grindy as well, though, wasn't
Callum Jackson: Red Dead 2 felt like I was literally living in the Old West.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: And I couldn't afford shit.
Cameron Resner: but Yeah, I was going to say, you had to grind. i don't think I unlocked anything nice.
Callum Jackson: no that's what I'm getting at. like You could not afford shit. And then it felt like our character died at a young age because we just couldn't play anymore.
Cameron Resner: haven't.
Callum Jackson: I went back and had my own fun with Me and Brad played, um we we dressed up as the cavalry, the union or the confederate, which i would no, no, we were the union. I was in blue, but yeah, we, we just, we dressed up as them like the cavalry and that was some fun. like But again, that's role-playing, isn't it? I had to make, I just went on random missions and pretended I was a man of the army.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, that's pretty. Yeah, no, the stuff like that, and it was, see yeah, it was really good. It played good.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: I don't, yeah. I just hope there's a multiplayer game that doesn't just want fucking your whole soul to actually, yeah.
Callum Jackson: And you're just just your money to to do anything.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: Like, it's just...
Cameron Resner: But, I mean, I'm part of the problem. I gave GTA loads of money, so. I'm going to do it again.
Callum Jackson: yeah we we Yeah, we are the... prop Do you know what? I didn't... I actually didn't... though i think Hell... What was the ah other game? Finals. Helldivers and the Finals were the first games that I dropped like a lot of money into.
Cameron Resner: Finals.
Callum Jackson: I didn't do it before, but with these two games, i was like, oh, fuck, I'm playing them. And I did put a lot of hours into them. I bought some skins on COD, but nothing to the extent of Finals and Helldivers.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Finals, that's kind of like a free game. And I know GTA Online is free now, but it wasn't.
Callum Jackson: No, it wasn't.
Cameron Resner: But I was putting loads of money into it.
Callum Jackson: you You got a good point there. Yeah. When it's a free game, you can accept it.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I mean, if if I like the free game and I play 100 hours in it, I don't mind giving them like £60-£70.
Callum Jackson: It's the way they make money.
Cameron Resner: Okay, cool. Yeah, exactly. this like
Callum Jackson: Yeah, because then you'll get in the game, aren't you?
Cameron Resner: sorry
Callum Jackson: like Yeah, I agree. And like if you want something new on it and you're still playing it, go ahead, whatever.
Cameron Resner: then
Callum Jackson: you In the grand scheme of things, it's not that bad.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, have fun.
Callum Jackson: um yeah But like I think you know a game like COD charging £30 for a skin, it's just, what the fuck?
Cameron Resner: Yes. It's rotten.
Callum Jackson: You could go buy another £15 Clare Obscure.
Cameron Resner: Probably is 30 pounds now.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, but i again, that might not be your kind of game, but you could play the finals for free.
Cameron Resner: No.
Cameron Resner: No, are we?
Callum Jackson: There you go. There's another shooter.
Cameron Resner: I going to say, yeah.
Callum Jackson: You can, yeah, there's a lot of shooters, especially, you know, Counter-Strike's free.
Cameron Resner: You could...
Callum Jackson: I know there's like gambling and that shit, but like there's a lot of free-to-play games.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Even just older shooters, you can go and buy all the Doom games. You can go buy all of Wolfenstein. You can...
Callum Jackson: Yeah. go Go buy another game instead of that stupid bundle that's 30 quid.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Unless it's the Wabskin.
Callum Jackson: If you really want it, fuck it. I don't care. But actually, get off COD.
Cameron Resner: Public service announcement.
Callum Jackson: That's my message.
Cameron Resner: Get off card.
Callum Jackson: you know what? I just think it's just been funny recently watching all these companies. just they just I don't know who the fuck's leading them, but they just seem to be making...
Cameron Resner: It seems like everyone's leaving, so that's why.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, makes shit cool after shit cool.
Cameron Resner: Probably no one left leaving.
Callum Jackson: Like Xbox buying Activision and then pumping out CODs. And then now that I just saw an article there said, oh, it's actually harder than it looks to do a yearly release.
Callum Jackson: No fucking shit.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Also, you're just trying to get your fucking money back.
Cameron Resner: I mean they should have stolen that a long time ago.
Callum Jackson: Like...
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: And then fucking, could you believe, that the only thing that Xbox won out of getting Activision for COD is that Sony then were pressured into buying Bungie.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: And now look at that. Because Sony also went, oh, they've bought a studio, we'll buy Bungie. They'll make us money. And then Destiny 2's just fucking falling off. And then that marathon game that's never going to, I don't even, I would cancel it now.
Callum Jackson: And be like, make a new game. Bring back Halo.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: bring Bring back something on the the level of Halo and we'll talk.
Cameron Resner: We'll make Destiny 3.
Callum Jackson: Or make Destiny. Apparently that is being made, but I would say that I would start fresh.
Cameron Resner: yes
Callum Jackson: I'm really trying, because you would get the old audience and then someone like me will come back.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, yeah.
Cameron Resner: Yes. No, yeah. That's a good point.
Callum Jackson: freshen up i just yeah they're not yeah and then yeah fucking there's just been so many buyers and i think fucking netflix as well buying warner bros it's like they want to kill everything i i don't understand any of it but it's all all bad but that's thiss that's my opinion on it all bad
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. We should see you with that one.
Callum Jackson: yeah Because with that, my main concern is everything was flowing quite well. Like, at the moment, in my head, was like, alright, let's see what they do with Harry Potter. Let's see what they do with the DC universe. But you know, if one movie flops, they'll be like, nah, we're restarting DC.
Callum Jackson: You just fucking know that theyll just they have that power now if they actually go through a binary. Because I know there's been some complications at the moment. But... oh like right now it's all feeling like oh yeah it's fine like whatever but in the end you know if like a new doom movie comes out they'll be like no it's straight to streaming and also oh it didn't no one tuned in for that okay fuck that and then doom's dead
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I don't know. I'm hoping, yeah, we shall see.
Callum Jackson: we shall but hmm
Cameron Resner: I feel feel like we've, I feel like streamers are seeing that they're not like, you can't You don't want to get rid of the movie theaters because actually if you if you have a great film that's like a lot of people watch and then it goes on to a streaming service, that's usually good for everyone.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: um So if they own them and just still just let them do what they're doing, create good films and then be like, okay, now they're on Netflix afterwards, then I'll do it.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, it just depends. The thing that will be their mistake is the same thing that Disney done. And they were like, it every mo like Xbox did as well. They give that promise to the audience.
Callum Jackson: Everything we release in cinemas and everything we release and on Game Pass, Xbox... It'll be day one or it will come out very soon after. And that completely stops you from wanting to go to the cinema because why would you when month later, you you know, the new Disney movies on Disney plus like, and that stops a lot of people going because a lot of people, you know, it's mixed, isn't it?
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Like people want to go to cinema unlike someone like me, but there's a lot of people like, I'll just wait. And I don't blame them. Like it's expensive to go out and do yeah,
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I think there's just a lot of shit as well that gets put out.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: so People are like...
Callum Jackson: No, no, there is. But that's what I mean.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: It's like make good things and also put it in cinema.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: but When did that stop being a thing? ah It's like they just want to make shit and put on their streaming service. did It doesn't really. um But again, like I said, I was talking to Soph about it earlier, literally. And I was like, the thing I don't get is that these companies, they could easily just double their money. And I know it costs to like dispute stuff and um put it out there and put it in cinema and make a still book of it or a collector's edition or just releasing it on a normal box set.
Callum Jackson: But still, you're getting money because I just I worked out today, right? So though i said, if they release Stranger Things, there'll be no question I would buy the box set.
Cameron Resner: Yes.
Callum Jackson: And to me, I'm like, but I still wouldn't cancel my Netflix subscription. So let's just say it's £100 for the box set. You're getting half a year pretty much of subscription money in one go.
Callum Jackson: Because someone like me would do that.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: And then a lot of people would do that. So it's just weird that they don't balance it out and go, oh yeah, fuck it We'll do both. It really confuses me.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. Yeah. I think they were going hard at one point to like to remove the theaters from the equation but yeah you know something tells me that they're learning that you can't and that you can actually make more money if you just kind of work together with them because with warner i think paramount is also the other one that wants to buy them and it's like
Callum Jackson: You can't.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: don't think I want them because then they're just going to, they are going to gut it and there's going to be less movies because of that. I would think because there's only so many movies that one company can release.
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Whereas I feel like Netflix, they'll just be like, okay, we'll stop releasing our shit movies and just let one of us keep like,
Callum Jackson: Yeah, see, that would be the benefit if they were smart and they're like, let's just stop with our shit. We just own Warner Bros now.
Cameron Resner: yeah.
Callum Jackson: They actually have good IPs.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: But again, I don't want it to be like they've bought, like Xbox, they've bought a bunch of IPs and gone, I don't care who the fuck you are, just go make another Harry Potter film or a Bond film or whatever the fuck you want to make.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Cameron Resner: Oh yeah, I agree.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Just go do that. i don't Do you care about it? No, you don't. Oh, okay, go go make it Like...
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: I don't want that. And I feel like that could it could go that way.
Cameron Resner: I mean, yeah.
Cameron Resner: I think I'm basing off Amazon's treatment of bond and all signs at the moment shows that they're treating it right with who they've got directing it and who they've got producing it.
Cameron Resner: So, cause I feel like, like it's like, yeah, it's like people have made mistakes, but like, why would you buy something and then destroy its value?
Callum Jackson: Yeah, and the game coming out.
Cameron Resner: Like,
Callum Jackson: I don't know. Ask Disney.
Cameron Resner: yeah i mean Yeah, Disney have done it, but I feel like people are probably looking at that now and being like, fuck, we don't like that's not what not to do.
Callum Jackson: If you were Disney, you would just say nothing matters. We're restarting with Star Wars, wouldn't you?
Cameron Resner: Oh yeah yeah, you just do a reboot and just be like, yeah.
Callum Jackson: I would. Because you've made your money. Just reboot.
Cameron Resner: And they'd make so much money.
Callum Jackson: Just.
Cameron Resner: If if they were just like, okay, we're we're not we're going to be back back like held back by all this history we're just going to go something new and then i think people will be like cool yeah from george luke
Callum Jackson: yeah and then And then bring the talent because talent is ah is a big thing now. So you know make sure you're not just going, oh, it's an AI artist or they've wrote the script for us.
Callum Jackson: Get people that care about it and the and a big name director to for people to go, oh shit, that actually, that might be good.
Cameron Resner: hmm yeah
Cameron Resner: No, exactly.
Callum Jackson: um yeah that's that's the way that I would go around it because did you see sorry and um we we did have another idea to talk about but we can we can leave that till next week because we're already coming up to an hour but did you see just to like sort of wrap this up because i don't want to go too deep into all this but did you see that there was a an article recently where the higher ups said to James Cameron they're still not sure on giving him like more money for Avatar like to make the sequels
Cameron Resner: We can indeed, yes.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I saw James Cameron saying that.
Callum Jackson: And but like,
Cameron Resner: But I'm like, i i
Callum Jackson: i
Cameron Resner: yeah, I don't see that happening. But, yeah.
Callum Jackson: but if that if that's real, I would be like, what the fuck are you talking about, too? Because whether you like the films or not, it's not about that. It's about what they make at the box office. And maybe that is confusing how much they've made at the box office. But that.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, I guess.
Callum Jackson: I would be like, over Star Wars, because i don't I think the highest grossing Star Wars film didn't even hit a billion. You would be like, oh, Avatar's got something there, clearly.
Callum Jackson: And Disney own it.
Cameron Resner: yeah yeah i think i don't know i think he's i think they're just saying that because they don't want to be like four is coming but there's it's just like a bit being like oh we don't know
Callum Jackson: Jump on that shit.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, i i I don't like that commitment anymore, though, because it's the same thing with like when we saw Dune and it was like, well, if this earns enough, then you can see the full story. I don't like that.
Callum Jackson: I like that there's a vision and someone's got one and they go, well, it needs to be split into these films.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: I get taken to piss and it doesn't need it. But also at the same time, i like, you know, series and coming back to things.
Cameron Resner: But yeah.
Callum Jackson: People do like that. That's why they're made.
Cameron Resner: He has said, I mean, this comes from his words, I think he said that this would be a, if it did end here, it would be a good end still. like i'm Like, I'm also like, what did they announce?
Callum Jackson: well Well, we'll let you guys know next week.
Cameron Resner: Like seven Avatar films? Like how many Avatar films did he say he's going to do?
Callum Jackson: he it was It was five in total.
Cameron Resner: Including the first? Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, including the first.
Cameron Resner: Okay.
Callum Jackson: So it's not even that bad, but yeah. i i'm
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Again, I don't even think you would need that for the main series. um But if he has something to tell, I'm happy. I fucking love his movies. um
Cameron Resner: Yeah. He may also just want an out. He may be like, I've done this for 20 years now.
Callum Jackson: He doesn't know.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Did you see that? There was another thing where he was like, no, I love these.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: like like like He's glad they caught on. Of course he is, but yeah.
Cameron Resner: yeah i Yeah, I just, I don't know. I take everything everyone says with a grain of salt because I'm like, just a lot of people say things and then I'm like...
Callum Jackson: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: especially James Cameron, like, um, calling Terminator 3, the real Terminator 3 for three times now.
Cameron Resner: his Three times, yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yeah. That sort of thing.
Cameron Resner: ah
Callum Jackson: No, he, I think he only done it twice, but literally from Genesis, I remember in the trailer, he like, this is my real vision for Terminator 3.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. It's just a little...
Callum Jackson: He didn't direct it. So they obviously paid him and he was just like, yeah, fuck it. And Dark Fate, he was, he done it again. And I was like, you dirty fucker. You dirty,
Cameron Resner: James, you're losing trust.
Callum Jackson: He was just like, I made the greatest action film of all time. I will not keep coming back. to No, I will keep coming back if you pay me to say that this is truly the next Terminator sequel.
Cameron Resner: The next big thing.
Callum Jackson: Fucking hell. Still haven't got it.
Cameron Resner: um still haven't got the next true sequel maybe it'll do that after maybe oh yeah yeah
Callum Jackson: Except from that game that showed you the other day when you came around. Terminator Resistance. That's a pretty good sequel. And now in my hands, it came today. The Terminator 2D.
Callum Jackson: No fate. I'll let you know how that is.
Cameron Resner: hmm Yes, please do.
Callum Jackson: But, uh, yeah, I'm very much looking forward to that.
Cameron Resner: Maybe if this avatar fails, then he'll go back to, he'll make the third one himself.
Callum Jackson: Fucking hell, that would be a dream.
Cameron Resner: Like, this is the real one.
Callum Jackson: That
Cameron Resner: But that'd be the dream. You wouldn't, so you, what would you take? s Terminator a three or avatar four?
Callum Jackson: Oh, no. Okay. So the time has passed for me. And I think Terminator one and two are literally perfect. So I would take another avatar, because I feel because I'm still in avatar.
Cameron Resner: Hmm. Okay.
Callum Jackson: Like I'm like, yeah, I want to know more.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Where Terminator, I'm like, you can leave it there. And you could have left it there in 92 or three.
Callum Jackson: 91 I can't remember it's one of those years but yeah you can leave Terminator there i'm I'm very much happy like if they wanted to do something new with Terminator like show the future war like they try to do with Salvation but I would personally just leave it and these games are doing fine so yeah um yeah
Cameron Resner: Right.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Cameron Resner: Yeah. good Yeah, I agree. I mean, ah just just to give you a little fact, I was just looking at Avatar. I just wanted to know how much the second one cost to make.
Cameron Resner: How much do you think it cost to make?
Callum Jackson: Probably the fucking 1 billion.
Cameron Resner: It was just over 1 billion.
Callum Jackson: Yeah?
Cameron Resner: So, I mean, I can see it being like, okay, if this doesn't make 2 billion, then yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yes.
Cameron Resner: Then if if they've spent a billion on three.
Callum Jackson: But again, I would put faith in it.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, no, I'd put faith in it, but yes.
Callum Jackson: I would stop talking about the money aspects of it and just be like, we're selling a good film.
Cameron Resner: i
Cameron Resner: you know
Callum Jackson: Which I do think, whether, again, you like these films or not, I do think, or you like really invested in them, I do think James Cameron makes a really solid...
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: even though they're long he he always just somehow you're entertained and they might not be the deepest they might not be like the best dialogue or you know story or whatever you want to say or like the the most best action scenes that you've seen but definitely i don't know what it is about them but every film that i have watched it even fucking Titanic that's three hours and it's not really boring is it
Cameron Resner: Oh, yeah.
Cameron Resner: No, they're entertaining.
Callum Jackson: yeah so yeah the thing is i do think i mean avatars are like my epics that like in the recent years i mean um like they're the epics where i'm like oh i'm looking forward to sitting down for three hours i don't normally these days want to sit down for three hours but these films go by so quick like you wait so long for them and then you're like oh it's over
Cameron Resner: No.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: So for me anyway, yeah. And I definitely think pro because they're that long is probably what gets people to sit in the cinema again and make up their mind. because i feel Because I saw The Way of Water twice in cinema.
Cameron Resner: Oh, no, I agree.
Callum Jackson: And I was like, ooh, yeah.
Cameron Resner: They're great in cinema.
Callum Jackson: So yeah, we're goingnna it it won't be next week's episode, I don't think, because we're going to go on the Friday night.
Cameron Resner: No.
Callum Jackson: But it will probably be the following week.
Cameron Resner: We will chat about. ah Yes. Yeah.
Callum Jackson: Yeah, so so we'll talk about a bit of Avatar.
Cameron Resner: that's We'll see, because that's Christmas week and stuff. sir
Callum Jackson: Yeah, so we shall let you know, but if not, there will be a talk of Avatar and our top films before the end of the year.
Cameron Resner: um
Cameron Resner: Oh, yes. Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: Right.
Cameron Resner: I think maybe we do our talk. Yeah, actually, no. Okay, cool. Yeah, we'll do that.
Callum Jackson: We could probably do, we could talk half of the time about Avatar and then our top films, but might be a bit pushing it, but we'll we'll see.
Cameron Resner: Yeah.
Callum Jackson: We'll see how it goes.
Cameron Resner: Mm-hmm.
Callum Jackson: We'll let the natural conversation flow.
Cameron Resner: Flowrider. Very good. um It's been a pleasure.
Callum Jackson: Lots to look forward to.
Cameron Resner: Yeah, lots to look forward to.
Callum Jackson: And, yeah.
Cameron Resner: Hopefully some of these will come out. um Hopefully Avatar 4 will come out and then we're all good.
Callum Jackson: Yes. Make Star Wars great again.
Cameron Resner: Okay.
Callum Jackson: Right. I shall...
Cameron Resner: I'll play you my intro. Goodbye,
Callum Jackson: Jesus.
