Speaker: What do you call an underground group of solar professionals on a mission to create a more sustainable world?
Speaker: We call ourselves solopreneurs.
Speaker: And while some might call us crazy, foolish, and dissatisfied with the status quo, we're the ones taking action to create a better future for ourselves and the world.
Speaker: Solopreneur is dedicated to give you, the solar professional, the tools, skills, technology, and mentorship to take the industry by storm and sell more solar with less effort.
Speaker: We are solopreneurs and this is our story.
Speaker: Alright, welcome to Principles of Solar Sales.
Speaker: This first module, I want to make sure we set the tone for the rest of this training.
Speaker: This is going to be controversial.
Speaker: This is going to be stuff that they're not talking about at your company, that other courses are not talking about.
Speaker: And quite frankly, I'm going to give it to you straight with no BS.
Speaker: I'm going to give you what you need to know and really help you decide if this is even something you want to do.
Speaker: Because here's the reality, 90% of people selling solar right now should not be in the industry.
Speaker: That's the brutal, honest truth.
Speaker: It's a tough pill to swallow, okay?
Speaker: And many of you might be offended by this, and that's okay, all right?
Speaker: Because I'd rather tell you the truth, let you get results from it, than try to make it fluffy and talk about the dream lifestyle of sleeping in and having financial freedom and all of this, because the reality is simple, guys.
Speaker: to have success in solar, in sales specifically.
Speaker: As an entrepreneur in this industry, this is not glamorous.
Speaker: You are gonna put in more hours
Speaker: more work, more grit than you ever have in your entire life.
Speaker: And that is a good thing, which we're gonna talk about, right?
Speaker: But if you're getting sold the idea right now of the Tim Ferriss four hour work week lifestyle when it comes to solar, if you're getting sold the dream of sleeping in till 9, 10 a.m., right?
Speaker: Getting to work late, Facebook ads, just feeding your pipeline, right?
Speaker: You not having to do anything, I've got some news for you because that is not going to lead to success.
Speaker: I've studied top producers for the last three and a half years.
Speaker: I've raised up multiple, multiple six-figure students and a solar millionaire, and I can tell you that the nine-to-five dream lifestyle is not a thing.
Speaker: It's BS.
Speaker: It's a fallacy, and if you believe it, you are going to struggle.
Speaker: Now, if that sounds intense, it is, right?
Speaker: But...
Speaker: Again, I want to help you.
Speaker: I want you to get results.
Speaker: And this is the stuff that nobody's going to talk about because it sucks.
Speaker: Nobody at your company is talking about it because they're lazy.
Speaker: They don't want to go into this work, right?
Speaker: They don't want to work on weekends and the evenings.
Speaker: They don't want to make sacrifices with, you know, what time they wake up, their health, their habits, their family.
Speaker: Those things are not worth it to them, and that's okay, all right?
Speaker: those people, they're not supposed to be selling solar.
Speaker: They're not supposed to be starting their own solar company.
Speaker: And if that's you, don't be offended.
Speaker: There's plenty of other jobs and positions in the solar industry that let you get involved with this movement.
Speaker: But I'm talking to the 1%, the people who want to make
Speaker: a significant income and impact in solar.
Speaker: I'm talking to the people who are not offended by this, who want to get out there and putt in the work and the grind, all right?
Speaker: Six figures does not seem like a lot when you do the numbers and the math with solar, but what I find is the most difficult switch for solar pros is the nine to five mindset over to salesperson, entrepreneur, working on commission, eat what you kill, or you get nothing.
Speaker: Okay, that switch is so difficult.
Speaker: And even some of you guys who have been in sales for 10, 15, 25, 30 years are still hanging on to these nine to five mindsets.
Speaker: So the goal of this video right here is to get rid of those once and for all.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: and we're gonna do this and we're gonna talk about it through work ethic.
Speaker: These are the standard practices and I'm gonna show you three options on what's gonna make you successful.
Speaker: You can choose your level of success here and I'm gonna tell you which one's gonna make it easier for you.
Speaker: So it's up to you.
Speaker: If you wanna take the hard, lazy route that everybody else does,
Speaker: everybody else on this planet, right?
Speaker: Your friends, your family members, your colleagues, people at your company.
Speaker: If you want to follow their direction, it's going to be 10 times more difficult and I cannot guarantee you're going to get results.
Speaker: If you want to follow the 1%, people will follow this training.
Speaker: People at my company, in the Spartan system, the Solopreneur channel, people that follow this movement of hard working people who are dedicated to making an impact and income that's worth talking about, right?
Speaker: then I've got some training for you as well.
Speaker: So let's go ahead and dive into the three types of work ethics.
Speaker: We've got the nine to five guy, all right?
Speaker: This is your typical, he got in the industry because financial freedom, right?
Speaker: Sounds amazing.
Speaker: I'm gonna be able to spend more time with my family, my kids.
Speaker: I can make a ton of money and impact.
Speaker: I don't have to be glued to the desk in an office.
Speaker: While this sounds great, if you go at your solar career with that nine to five mindset, clocking out at five o'clock,
Speaker: Taking the weekends off taking the minimum route that you can write just doing the bare bones to get the job done If you go at your work this way, you're gonna struggle.
Speaker: You're not gonna make six figures You're not gonna make six figures in two years.
Speaker: You're gonna have a difficult time in this industry This needs to be eliminated out of your vocabulary anything related to nine to five
Speaker: Basically, the golden rule of thumb with this is go look at what your colleagues are doing, the low producing ones, of course.
Speaker: If you've got top producers doing 10, 15, 20 deals a month, go ahead and take notes from them.
Speaker: But everyone else, your family, your friends, people that you associate with, the entire world, go look at what they're doing and do the opposite.
Speaker: It's the easiest way to fix this.
Speaker: People party on the weekends, you work on the weekends.
Speaker: They hang out on Friday night, you work on Friday night.
Speaker: It's really that simple.
Speaker: It's Saturday right now, and I'm at HQ in Lumen Solar, right, San Diego.
Speaker: There's nobody freaking in the office.
Speaker: And I'm here making this course for you guys because I care about giving you impact, giving you results.
Speaker: This is the type of work and drive that it takes.
Speaker: Hey listeners, it's James Swiderski here.
Speaker: I promise we'll be right back to this fire content you're enjoying, but I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you about the number one training platform that I trust my own clients as well as my own solar team with, and it's called the Solar Spartan System.
Speaker: Now, the Solar Spartan system is not your traditional course.
Speaker: It's a solar sales transformation experience that's combined over 11,000 hours of research on today's top sales and marketing professionals and condensed their strategies into one streamlined system that practically forces you
Speaker: Yeah, that's right.
Speaker: Forces you to have success in reaching your goals.
Speaker: And the best part is, guys, it's designed specifically for solar.
Speaker: And it's been tested on over 800 solar professionals to date.
Speaker: Now, you might be saying, James, that's cool, but...
Speaker: how does it force me to have success?
Speaker: And this is where it gets pretty ninja, my friends.
Speaker: So listen up.
Speaker: So here's what makes the Solar Spartan system so effective.
Speaker: It's the combination of applying the minimum amount of inputs, minimum effective dose of what it takes to get you to that next level.
Speaker: combining that with the power of social accountability and then top-notch strategies used by today's solar professionals solopreneurs right so what does this mean for you no more watching 15 hour courses no more banging your head trying to figure out how to apply grant cardone strategies over here and dan lock strategies over here to solar specifically and no more guesswork
Speaker: The Solar Spartan system is 100% action oriented, meaning you won't be given more content to study than what you'd need to actually reach your next four deals, 10 deals, 16, 20 deals, whatever your goal is, there's a milestone for it within the system.
Speaker: And to give you guys an idea of what you can expect out of this, I've taken some of my lowest producing reps and clients from closing one to maybe struggling to get that third or fourth deal a month, all the way to closing 18 to 20 deals a month in less than 90 days.
Speaker: It's that good.
Speaker: That's why I want to go ahead and offer you guys, Solopreneur listeners, a special discount on the Solar Spartan System.
Speaker: You guys head on over to Solarspartansystem.com.
Speaker: You could try it out for 30 days.
Speaker: Again, guys, don't put your success on hold.
Speaker: This is something I would not promote on the podcast if I didn't fully believe in it.
Speaker: It's something I trust my clients, but as well my own solar company, my own reps,
Speaker: They go through this exact same training.
Speaker: So again, head over to solarspartansystem.com to get started and my team and I will see you inside.
Speaker: Let's get back to the show.
Speaker: Now, number two here.
Speaker: This is the person who's a little bit more smart with how they work.
Speaker: It's the 12 to eight.
Speaker: It's still the same eight hours, right?
Speaker: But they recognize that our customers, homeowners, are available when people are not working.
Speaker: You want to be working when others are not, right?
Speaker: That's when you're going to get the availability.
Speaker: So 12 to 8 is kind of the preferred sweet spot for people who want to just make six figures.
Speaker: I'm not talking about the quarter million, 250, 300, 500 grand, 750, a million a year.
Speaker: Those people are going to adopt this, which we'll talk about.
Speaker: But for these guys, 99% of you who just want to clear that six figures,
Speaker: 12 to 8 is the sweet spot six days a week, okay?
Speaker: Monday through Friday and then Saturday.
Speaker: You've got to be working all day Saturday.
Speaker: Saturday is the go-to day.
Speaker: If you insist on taking two days off like a weekend, take Sundays and Mondays off.
Speaker: But make sure you work on Saturdays.
Speaker: That is game day.
Speaker: That is time to get shit done in this industry.
Speaker: Now, for those of you who are looking above just the hundred grand, you want to make a quarter million, 500 grand or more, nine to nine or seven to nine, 12 hours, 13 hours, 14, 15 hours a day.
Speaker: This is the stuff it takes.
Speaker: This is not glamorous.
Speaker: This is definitely not glamorous.
Speaker: This is you sacrificing time with friends, family.
Speaker: This is you sacrificing a lot of the stuff that everybody else does.
Speaker: Me personally, I'm 23 years old right now.
Speaker: I got in the industry when I was 19.
Speaker: I don't drink.
Speaker: I don't party.
Speaker: I don't have friends outside of work.
Speaker: I don't have a social life.
Speaker: I don't hang out at family events.
Speaker: I don't do any of that.
Speaker: All I do is work.
Speaker: and I love it.
Speaker: Nothing fulfills me more.
Speaker: I go on a vacation, I hate it.
Speaker: I don't want to go on vacations.
Speaker: I'm miserable on vacations because I'm thinking about how can I get to the next level?
Speaker: How can I impact this person?
Speaker: This is the level that you need to operate at if we're talking over a hundred grand a year.
Speaker: Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
Speaker: Don't let anyone else sell you a dream otherwise.
Speaker: If you want to guarantee it happens, this needs to work.
Speaker: So guys, this is the nine to five mindset.
Speaker: You need to eliminate the employee victim mentality of not taking responsibility for your actions.
Speaker: As an entrepreneur, as a solopreneur, as we call it in this industry, you are responsible for you.
Speaker: Everything that happens to you, you take responsibility for it.
Speaker: And because of that control, you can now dictate your entire tone of your life.
Speaker: You want to make $750,000?
Speaker: Boom.
Speaker: Map out a plan to do it.
Speaker: You want to make $10 million?
Speaker: Boom.
Speaker: Map out a plan to do it.
Speaker: You can decide to do that.
Speaker: Don't listen to anyone else.
Speaker: Don't look to anyone else.
Speaker: Put your head down.
Speaker: Do the work.
Speaker: Decide what you want, and that's what's going to make you successful.
Speaker: Let's move on to the next video.
