Speaker: Hello and welcome back. This is season two of On the Outside.
Speaker: Hello, hello. Welcome back. i am so excited to be jumping into season two um On the Outside. my name is Taylor ray and in season one we talked about all of the ways we've been made to feel left out.
Speaker: We heard stories from folks from all walks of life, shared personal experiences, and explored what it really means to be on the outside looking in Now, this season, we're taking things in an entirely different direction. If you didn't know, I'm pregnant and recording this in my third trimester.
Speaker: Now, as a type A girly and a grad student with access to way too much information, found I so much about so much about trying to conceive pregnancy and childbirth more than I ever could have imagined.
Speaker: I have conversations with friends every day about these topics, and everyone's been encouraging me to share these resources more broadly, so here we are. In this season, I'm bringing you the raw, unfiltered truth about growing a human from preconception prep to postpartum recovery.
Speaker: We're diving into the real stuff. Because even in one of life's most universal experiences, it's easy to feel like an outsider, but you're not alone. Over 10 episodes, we cover so much this season. and Preconception health, including my own personal preconception protocols, how future dads might want to prepare for preconception,
Speaker: prenatal vitamins and what you want to know about them, navigating doctor's appointments, birth prep and delivery essentials, why you might want a doula and why I absolutely love having one, the ultimate pregnancy checklist, because if there's one thing I'm gonna do, it's get organized, and of course, postpartum recovery and all that happens to your body during pregnancy and afterwards.
Speaker: Now, I'm not coming to this conversation as a doctor or a medical professional. I'm coming to this conversation as someone who might be just like you, navigating the ups and downs of pregnancy with so, so many questions.
Speaker: I found that I had access to incredible resources and learned so much through this journey. And really, this is just a helpful way for me to try and synthesize all of that information so that you might have an easier time than I did navigating just this crazy road to motherhood and to becoming a parent.
