The Environmental Impact of Farming Practices

00:00:00
Speaker
We are what we eat because, okay, the the vibrations of of the plants, the vegetables, we take it in. We kind of become that. We're taking a lot of farmland to to raise these animals, which, you know, one plot of land, if you were to do plant-based, can feed, what, hundreds of thousands of of more people. If we can eat healthier food, it's also going to be better for our living environment, right? It doesn't necessarily have to do with if you eat meat or if you're vegan or if you're not. I think it's really about how the food is produced.

00:01:09
Speaker
Okay. Hello. Welcome to the show. This is the regenerative design podcast. And today we have a very special guest. It's ah none ah none other than many bas Manny Manny Baines is a great guy. He is an award-winning author. He is an award-winning director and award-winning author. He's also an award-winning actor and he has shared the stage with some amazing people like Bob Proctor. Everybody knows Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield. ah Chicken Soup for the Soul, everybody knows or many people will know that book. And so also Les Brown, one of the best speakers in the world. So that's some amazing achievements that you've done already. And he is actually on a mission. He is here with us today, because in the podcast, we want to discover some things about how we can actually save the planet.
00:02:01
Speaker
And yeah, that's why I invited many to talk about this today. So many, tell me, where did all these things start? Where did this take off? Well, first of all, Matthew, thank you so much for having me on your show. It's an absolute honor, pleasure and privilege to be sitting down with you. You are such an amazing person and you're doing some incredible things. So we've got ah an amazing lineum of ah lineup of information for your audience today. So I can't wait to get

Manny Baines: From Corporate to Creative

00:02:27
Speaker
started. You know, I think my story started back in, you know, 2016 where, you know, Like anybody, I was just working a corporate job. I was looking for more something more out of life. you know I'm just thinking, is this all my life is? Am I just going to work, pay bills, and then die? I'm like, there's got to be something more. And it's something inside of me was saying there's there's more. And that's our soul. That's our spirit. right It's for fuller expression and more expansion. And as I did this, I started really just getting involved in my own personal growth, studying with some of the top people in the world in this field, as you mentioned. and
00:02:58
Speaker
It just really changed my mindset of why I'm on this planet, what I'm looking to do and what I'm looking to achieve. And you know again, got into entrepreneurship, got into my mentoring, coaching, and then started my my company, the Rising Star movie experience in 2019 to you know create social change on a global scale and to brand entrepreneurs through the power of film so they can share their message with the world and you know create impact on ah on a larger scale. Yeah, that's amazing. let's Let's dive in a bit more into your Rising Star experience. I think that is something really amazing that I also personally got to get in contact with. So tell me more about how this mission started or what is the mission with with the Rising Star. I saw a lot of people. I saw a lot of entrepreneurs. you know
00:03:44
Speaker
ah wanting to get their message out to the world, but weren't sure how. um I feel like everybody has a story inside of them. Everybody has something they wanted to share, but they didn't have a medium on on on how to do it. you know And I think there's other things you can do in order to get your message out there, but we know the power of video. yeah um you know Yes, you can write books, write articles, but what is more powerful than somebody seeing you in your true power? Hearing your message, feeling that energy, you know hearing it from yourself, showcasing your message to the world, That's just nothing more powerful than that. And then you know in addition, adding cinematic effects and and you know creating that you know a cinematic documentary film is just going to put you in a place of wow. And we know that from you know our learning, when you create the wow, you create amazing experiences for your audience and you're going to get clients and change change your business and change your life.

Navigating Media Competition Post-COVID

00:04:36
Speaker
I like that because we can actually dive a bit more into the aspects of all the media that is out that there is out there, right? We've got social, we've got Instagram, TikTok. There are so many many mediums and it's really good to get into that. But i I want to know from your perspective why it's actually so important to also invest in other things such as getting into a movie. So, so you got to understand right now is that the spaces become so competitive, right? Since COVID-19, everybody's jumped online, right? 80% of the people had to go online. They were forced to go online. Okay. So what is the results of that?
00:05:12
Speaker
everybody's on social media, everybody's on Facebook. So now you're competing for attention. How do you stand out? Dr. Zu said, why fit in when we're born to stand out, right? So it's how do we escape the sea of sameness and stand out in front of all these people that are you know doing the same thing of us, right? you know there's You're probably ah an entrepreneur yourself. How many other people are there there that are in the same business as you? Hundreds, thousands. Okay, great. how do you stand out strong? And that's why why we put your message into a high quality cinematic video. That's going to make you stand out more than the person who has their phone and is saying, oh, hi, I am a mortgage broker. And their phone is shaking. You've got only a few seconds to capture people's attention, right? In the scrolling world that we've become, you've got three seconds to get people's attention. So you've got to do it with ah an emotionally conveying, high quality cinematic video. And you also have to know how to present yourself and and and use the correct language as well. So there's a whole real science behind it, which I dive into, which is really amazing. Amazing. I love that. And that's really cool. Now I understand again better what, what your approach is on all of that. But what I truly like as well is that you're also a heart centered entrepreneur, right? You get into,
00:06:24
Speaker
you do your work with making documentaries and movies and actually people could reach reach out to you but you also decide who works with you right because you have this great mission of of empowering people, so improving the health of our planet will which we will dive in later because this is really related to what I do but tell me where, how do you select this people and and how do you actually find the people that come on your

Creating Global Social Impact through Film

00:06:50
Speaker
movies. Yeah, I mean, the the reason why I created the Rising Star movie experience is to really create social impact on a global scale. I don't make films on small topics. I want to do it on big topics that are affecting society right now and topics that maybe the mainstream
00:07:05
Speaker
isn't really looking at, right? So with my first film, Break Free, we looked at how Canadians could take a different path for their finances and studying what wealthy people were doing. We want to create, you know, give that valuable information that people aren't really seeing in the mainstream, but is affecting so many lives right now. And then that's why I decided to, you know, do big topics as, you know, my next one, health. Um, you know, obviously with everything that's going on, I wanted to look at health and how people can heal themselves through natural and alternative medicine as well. And, you know, obviously my goal, our goal with you, Matthew is to inspire global healing across the world. So it's, it's really, really, really amazing. I think I look for entrepreneurs who really want to make a change in, in, in their lives and the world. yeah I think, um,
00:07:47
Speaker
You know, it has to be bigger than ourselves. Obviously we have our, you know, goals of, obviously we got to be profitable and all that, but I feel like you have to have a mission that's bigger than you because we weren't created just for our selfish desires. As much as we love, you know, to whatever our indulge, we need to have a goal that's bigger than us. That's going to push us. It's going to wake us up every day. That's going to give us a deeper meaning. And I feel like when you have this mission, you bring other people who are in a line with it and that's when you can truly make a larger impact around the world Amazing. I really love that, that mission-driven aspect of things. And that actually is the only way, in my opinion, to a successful business. And I want to talk

Women's Empowerment and Storytelling

00:08:27
Speaker
a bit more about that. But first, I would love to ah tell me your experience about the movie that you worked on that actually reached so many people and the one that actually ah won a lot of ah awards. I really loved that movie about the the woman. Can you tell a bit more about that to my audience? Yes. Sorry. Thank you so much for for saying that. Yeah. My last film, fear, face everything and rise was a women's empowerment. Say that again. Fear. Fear. So fear can have multiple meanings, right? It's an acronym that can mean multiple things. It can be false evidence appearing real. And it can say, it can mean face everything and rise. oh Right? So it's it's all perception, right?
00:09:06
Speaker
And so i was ah was not ah I was at a convention speaking about what I was doing with the film and and how much of an impact this can make for entrepreneurs in order to get their message out to the world, grow their client base, get more credibility, more authority, and change the world. And this lady, Annie, saw my message and she said, Annie, I want to do film. I said, okay, what do you want to do it about? She said, I want to do it about my own autobiography story, like an autobiography documentary of her life story. um She got into trials and tribulations of her life, getting into a marriage, coming to Canada and facing all these cultural barriers. and and We didn't really know what we were going to do. We just said, all right, we got to but we've got to make this hot somehow, right? and you know We had ah two other actors in there as well. My dad was actually in there as one because we needed other people. and I think she just we she just went really hard on her story and had the courage to share what she went through.
00:09:57
Speaker
And I think when you have the courage to share ah you know what's deep inside you and your most vulnerable side, other people resonate. Remember, our pain could be somebody else's triumph. Your story, what you've gone through can inspire other people. So why bottle it in? you know The more courage that we have to speak our truth, to speak things that we've gone through, We're going to realize that we're not other people have gone through the same thing. And so I think that because she had the courage to share her story of you know going through a marriage and all those things and really be vulnerable. And that took um a lot of skill you know for for us us as directors to pull that out of her. But I think it was a story that a lot of women resonated. And yeah, it ended up doing really well in the film festival circuit, winning over 33 awards from all over the world. That's incredible.
00:10:46
Speaker
It's just amazing, I guess, when you have a positive message that you want to put out, kind of. Yeah, I love that. And I think that's something that we can pull out to bring forward for this podcast or what I'm trying to convey into the world is that if you ah have something that's inside of you and you'll know it because you will feel it in your heart. If you can bring that out into the world, people will notice it. that That's why you got all the awards and you yes you were able with your movie to bring her story out into the world. yeah And that's, I think, A perfect example of that that inspires people to to do what they're here to do, right? Exactly. yeah They say God ah creates your your dream or something. It's just like God makes your dream but disguise it it ah it disguises it as your worst nightmare.
00:11:33
Speaker
that That thing that you know you should do it i know it sounds scary but you you know you've just gotta find a way to do it and once you do it you realize there's no fears and why was i scared the only thing of fear is fear itself um but i think we all go through that and that's i think everybody has the potential everybody wants to do more with their life right i think we're happy when we're growing. yeah um And so for the people that are looking to do more with their life, just know that you can and you have so much support around you and just do it. Nike had it right. We just got to do it. I love that, yeah, because this is something that is very true for me as well, like putting out my message into the world. This is something that you have a kind of fear that you have to overcome, right? Maybe some people are born with it and they're naturals, but I think that when you know deep inside that you have to do something, but you have a big fear around it, it's a really good indication of you have to do it.
00:12:27
Speaker
And Matthew did it. from that And you did it. Like you came in into the film and English is not your first language, correct? yeah that's And you came in and you had the courage to do a film and English is not even your first language. And you know, I could tell he was a little like nervous at first, but I just said, Matthew, just speak from the heart. And you did such an amazing job and what you spoke about. It's not about what you say, it's how you say it. And that those words and that energy really, really came out in your interview. You did a great job, Matthew. Yeah, thank you. I very much appreciate it. So I want to dive a little bit further into your personal story in terms of what we just talked about, like how did you have moments in your life that you knew you had to do certain things, you weren't doing them, and then you overcame them. Do you have part in your life? yeah Would

The Influence of Mentorship and Personal Growth

00:13:18
Speaker
that happen?
00:13:18
Speaker
Absolutely. So when i when I was working my corporate job and I got a chance to study with Bob Proctor in 2016 and go on his Matrix program, which is like his highest ah coaching program um and spend six days intensive with him. wow I was working my corporate job. I was saving for a car for a house. and It was not cheap to do the seminars, you know, as we know. He's the legend. It was a ah lot. And I just, something inside of me just says, man, he do it. And I jumped. And I feel like that was like the rocket fuel I needed. It was like the, you know how ah a spaceship at start at the start requires a ah lot of fuel to get it off the ground. And then once it's up, it can glide. That was my initial fuel um to study, you know, seven days intensive and be around all this information at kind of a youngest age. And I was like, wow.
00:14:03
Speaker
And then from there, I just said, wow, this stuff is amazing. I want to help other people where they started coaching. And then a goal that I had when we were there, because they were always asking, what do you really want? What do you really want? And I just said, you know, I always wanted to be on TV. Like, I don't know why I was a kid. I just wanted to be on TV, but I didn't have the courage and have the self-confidence. And then, you know, you're there, you're getting pumped up. I just said, look, I'm just going to do it. Like, why not? and then you know joined an agency. you know So I take classes. Next thing you know, I've done commercials for Lowe's, Canadian Tire, Cineplex. I was in the Suits, featured in Suits. um you know I've done like commercials for for other big brands. And um yeah, it was just i mean we ended up doing a
00:14:42
Speaker
Yes, it was, it was. But Meghan Markle, yes, yes, I was on that show, yeah. I'm going to do other things, but I just go, imagine if I didn't open that, imagine if I didn't pursue that. Imagine the doors that would have left closed. And because of that, I ended up doing more, growing more confidence, you know getting more gigs. Now I'm writing on my own TV series. so All that happens when you just have the courage to show up and say yes. And I think God, I'm not talking religion, whoever's above us, whoever created us has a bigger plan for us, but you know we have to follow it and it's on us. Because if you close your eyes and we all have an imagination and yeah we see things in our imagination, that's ah a preview of what God has planned for us, right? And he wants something greater for us. He doesn't want you to just be small. He created you to be big and bloom.
00:15:32
Speaker
He's going to give everything to you, but he's not going to do everything free. And that's why you have to be curd, like have the courage to just inch forward every single day, you know, make one step forward towards your goals. Yeah, exactly. Oh, this is so good. And one thing I want to talk about now is that the fact that you decided to work with Bob Proctor at, I don't know it to how many years, 2016, 2016. Yeah, that's already a while ago. And you you jumped and did that quantum leap. that's That's something amazing that I want to talk about as well because the the incredible thing is here for our listeners. we We also share a great mentor, right? We have ah Raymond aaron shadow rayison Aaron. Yeah, this is a big shout out to Raymond. ah He's a great guy. he He coaches people. And for me, I started to work with him, I think it's now less than a year, maybe yeah one and a half years ago.
00:16:28
Speaker
And that just completely changed my game, like ah being able to surround myself with people that are that have made a lot of or data that have achieved a lot of things in their lives and learn from them, like learn from the master, right? So I'd like to get your perspective on, on your surrounding it's basically surrounding yourself with the the right people, right? Yeah. Yeah, I think surrounding yourself with people that have what you want increases your chances of getting it and it rubs off on you. you know and It's just it's it's ah association, right associating yourself with people that have what you want is going to naturally attract it to you. If you're hanging out with four losers, you're going to be the fifth. right we But we you know our our income will be the sum total of the five people that we we hang around with. right So it's it's making a con conscious effort to seek out people that are where we want to be and you know get near them. and you know even if you
00:17:24
Speaker
You know, it could take them out for lunch or just pick their brain or something. You know, that's why it's really good to attend the seminars, attend the workshops because you're you're feeding your mind really. and and And they've done all the work, right? Like they've spent years, the time, the money, the effort, and they're going to give it to you really quickly as we went through with our but our coaching experience that we've gone through together. yeah Yeah, that's amazing. And then one other part, because this is something that i I'm also faced with now, is like, okay, you surround yourself with the right people, but then it's still up to yourself to take action, right? How do you take that into your life? like how do you How are you able to take consistent action and and build your dream life? Yeah, that's like that's a really good question because you know I guess it's easy to get fired up or you know in the moment you feel good. um I guess, again, it's just it's connecting with that deeper mission for yourself and and ah it's easy to go back to our comfort zone. We're creatures of habit, right? It's so easy to slump back and say, you know, I'm just going to chill today.
00:18:26
Speaker
i think I think planning and organizing is is definitely key. you know You've got to keep score, right? if If you don't keep score. So that's why writing something even weekly or monthly, just where am I at? Where do I want to be at the end of my, just simple on a piece of paper is a amazing. So writing is a game changer, right? Yes, writing creates thinking, which which you know creates action, right? So you have to write down, okay, it's Monday, where do I want to be by Friday? you know Maybe I want to make and want to make this amount of calls or visit these people. So you got to have some sort of planning. Next is to have a ah bigger vision. as I always try to feel like um my thing is like, okay, we're not here forever. right Life is a limit. yeah right We have an expiry date at some point, and just to know that is something. and and It's that 90-year-old rocking chair Manny. I've got Manny at 90 years old in the rocking chair. yeah He can't move. He can't do anything. and I got to answer to that guy. He's got to say, you know, what is he going to think of me, right? When I'm 90 years old and I'm in my rocking chair, I'm going to feel like, okay, did I really live the life that I want or am I going to have regrets? And so playing those things again is just going to keep you slowly moving forward. And and it's just slow incremental steps, but over time they make a ah big difference, right? Even one thing a day, you'll you'll get 365 things done in a year, right? And so most people don't accomplish even three things

Living Without Regrets and Holistic Health

00:19:46
Speaker
in a year.
00:19:46
Speaker
I love that what you said about the fact that you look at you and in many years to come because that day is definitely going to happen. yeah And then that also connecting to your higher vision, your mission, right? That gets you out of bed, that keeps you going. And then i I just want to mention that I came across that from a documentary from Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's on Netflix, that show. I really loved it. I was never into bodybuilding or any of that things. But what what I learned from that, what he mentioned and that and that made a big shift for me was like, and you mentioned it before, he said like, it's not about the days when you're feeling good and everything is going well and you you go work out, whatever.
00:20:28
Speaker
What matters is the days where you feel shit and you still keep going. And that's what he did. And that's how he became such a yeah high achiever. And successful people don't wait until they feel good to take action. And that's something I noted notice, notice right? Like we all exercise. Do I feel like exercising every single day? No, but I just do it anyways because A, I know the feeling that I'm going to get after and B, it's going to it's the discipline. so so And that's something that was really interesting to me. Successful people don't wait till they feel good to do something. six Everybody feels fear, even successful people, they just train themselves to do it anyway. And that's the thing. We can't wait till we feel good. ive Otherwise, we'll only do it a small percentage of the time. yeah And um yeah, it's just knowing that
00:21:11
Speaker
yeah I think what people don't realize is that your life becomes better by enriching other people's lives and it's a secret. the more If you want a better life, just go help other people's lives get better and your life will get better. It's like a hack of the universe, right? If you want to get more, go give more. it's like but But it's opposite to what we've been told right in this scarcity society about we have to take, we got to keep. No, no, no. Go out there and enrich other people's lives. I'm telling you, your life will get better and you'll feel more fulfilled. Absolutely. I really love that. And I think from that, what you mentioned about, well, we could go into enriching people's lives. We'll get to that. But what I really like what you mentioned is about exercising daily or at least as much as you can, right? Because then we can, from there, we can go to your latest movie you're working on.
00:21:59
Speaker
because this movie will truly change the world, right? So let's start out still with like why exercising is important and and what it does. is Is it part of the movie as well? ah they'll There'll be ah they'll be a piece in for sure. I mean, everybody knows that. I think exercise is good for body, mind and soul, right? We know you move more, it you know increases serotonin, dopamine. I mean, I think it's just a discipline of it. You know you feel stronger, you feel better, you're going to take better action. um Everybody should be doing some sort of movement. Anybody can stretch for five minutes or so.
00:22:32
Speaker
But it's building that discipline in your mind. like First, it was a struggle to do it. Now, it's a pull. You just do it. and And there's so many things you can do right to make it fun. Yeah, it becomes a habit. right After time, but you know it can still be difficult. And successful people have built success habits. The the the difference between successful people and and failures is that successful people have developed habits that that leads them to success. Failure people have developed habits that lead them to failure success. So if you want success, just develop success habits and repeat it over and over and over again.
00:23:35
Speaker
So from there, now I want to dive deeper and into the documentary that's coming up because this podcast is really about showing the world that you can actually have a positive impact on our planet, on our living environment and create business. Like we can improve our personal lives and we can create a new business around that. So from that knowledge, let's bring it to to the movie that's coming up. Absolutely. I think first you know for your listeners to say that you can absolutely turn your passion into a business and change the world and create a business because right now you probably have a something a story or something of value you can share. I don't know what it is, but you know you just start talking about it. you know We have these platforms, these social media platforms where
00:24:19
Speaker
You can just get on right now and just start speaking and you know what, even if you're changing one person's life, that's great and that one person will turn to two. Just just make a decision, right? And then you'll be amazed at once you do it how many people, the feedback will be and how many people will be influenced by it. um Yeah, in regards to the film, um you know, it's on health and wellness and how people can transfer the title. or yeah Yeah. So the the working title we have is The Cure. Oh, yeah. That's kind of working. We usually get to the title to the end, but that's our working title.

Health, Wellness, and Natural Healing

00:24:47
Speaker
And yeah, I just saw that, you know, with COVID and everything, you know, I wanted to do it on health because I said that's the next big topic, right? yeah And then if you were to ask someone, what is health? It's such a big topic.
00:25:00
Speaker
So then I went into, okay, I want to study this more because why in the most advanced civilizations, you know, in in Canada, US, Europe, if you look at the stats, how many people are overweight, sick, unhealthy, right? Those are big stats. Well, in a civilization that's so advanced, why is that? So then I looked at the current medical system. I said, okay, well, what other stuff is out there? So i I went to see, okay, what's going on in the alternative space, the natural space, right? Why do we look at, why do we care for people when they're sick? Why don't we tell them preventative measures? So, uh, you know, I seeked out naturopath, uh, and alternative doctors from all over the world. And they're all coming together to speak on the same topic of how people can heal themselves through natural and holistic methods. And we're going to put it into a high powered cinematic documentary film and we're going to bring it to the world. My personal goal is to inspire global healing across the world. And, uh,
00:25:52
Speaker
These practitioners are sharing some valuable information on how you can transform your health. That's amazing. Wow. That's amazing. So what is the one, let's say, what is the most important thing from, cause he told you research quite a bit around it before you then started ah getting people involved. What was during that moment of research, what was the most, the one thing that stood out that kind of amazed you about health and wellness? There's so much, oh my God. i Only one, we want the biggest one. I think i think the biggest thing is that you know our our system is not a, it's a sick care system. you know and And I think a lot of people put so much of their trust on these experts. And it's not to say doctors are amazing people, but you're putting all your trust into just one guy just because he has a white coat on instead of doing your own research.
00:26:47
Speaker
you know, seeking your own opinion, going to multiple people, right? don't Not just putting all of your life's hands in just one person, right? That doesn't make any sense. Do your own research. Seek out multiple opinions. You've got to be your own practitioner. You can't rely on anybody else because honestly, they're in it for their their interest first, not yours, I'm sorry, right? So that's the biggest thing is how you can empower yourself to be your own healer. Yeah, I like that. And then what would be the single most important thing that people can do to improve their health? I mean, we've talked about exercise, that's an an obvious one.
00:27:23
Speaker
Wow. That's because of the single most thing, because there's so many. Well, we could dive into food, right? Because what you eat, you become what you are. You could say food nutrition, but again, I think it goes back to mindset. You know, it's your thinking. If your thinking is stinking, you're sinking. It goes back to your mindset because like you say, you can eat healthy, but if you've got fear, anxiety, worry, doubt, then the food isn't going to gut digest. So it literally, I think it goes back to how you're thinking, honestly. Yeah, I think there's multiple ways, but let's turn it around even now. Because let's say that you're being very mindful, you you do practices that are good to improve your mental health, and you go to McDonald's every day. How is that going to look?
00:28:05
Speaker
Well, it's interesting because someone we know, this might be controversial, but you know, Donald Trump, I was looking, if you YouTube his diet, the guy is drinking like 12 diet cokes a day. He only eats McDonald's and KFC, but the guy's like what 70 and he's still walking around. So there's, but I guess his mindset is different, right? But obviously we know, yes, you got to, you got to eat healthy, you know, healthy body, healthy mind and, uh, whole foods, right? Things that are nutritious, um, like less process, of course it's going to help you. At the end of the day, you want to take in foods that are high frequency, right? Because every food has a frequency as you know. So high vibe foods create different energies in the body for sure. Yeah, and that's interesting. Because i that's I think the part of the movie that I like the most or where I can relate the most to is like,
00:28:50
Speaker
Okay, we we are what we eat because okay the the vibrations of of the plants, the the vegetables, we take it in and then we can we we kind of become that in a way. And other than that, the the more important thing is, I think, related to the fact that If we can eat healthier food, it's also going to be better for our living environment, right? shoot like our diet Our diet is mainly meat-based in most parts of the world, but if we can cut that back a little, or actually if we look at the stats, we might have to cut that back quite
00:29:25
Speaker
quite a lot and eat more things that are yeah good for our planet. And it it doesn't necessarily have to do with the with eat the if you eat meat or if you're vegan or if you're not vegan. I think it's really about how the food is produced. And the amazing part of that is that as it turns out that if it's good for your health, Then it's also good for the planet, like if a cow was grazing on a pasture, it turns out this is really good for the for the for the local environment, but also for the global environment because we're capturing way more carbon dioxide. so this um um And we got to see that first hand on on on the farm we went to in here to know that
00:30:06
Speaker
Yeah, you're right. It is all how it's produced, right? Because there is a way, let's say for meat example, there is ah a healthy a way to raise the cattle that's not going to damage the environment, right? The the number one thing that's damaging the environment is you know the methane from the cows and the way that they're be doing meat consumption, right? So it it's like you said, I taking this quote from Matthew, it's not the cow, it's the how, right? um But I definitely think that, you know, we're taking a lot of farmland to to raise these animals, which, you know, one plot of land, if you were to do plant-based can feed, what, hundreds of thousands of of more people.
00:30:42
Speaker
Um, it's very controversial because you know, there's a lot of people that say eating meat's good, eating meat's bad. At the end of the day, it's what's, what's best for the planet. And I think a lot of us could, could, could benefit from, you know, plant-based, even if we just cut back a little bit on certain animal products that, you know, if they're dumped with hormones and all these things are going to affect us, right? So it's, um, it's it's creating that balance, but it's also knowing that our planet is not infinite, right? We only have a little bit of, we don't have infinite space. So it is time to. Realize our impact and our footprint on the planet and how can we bring that back. I really like that. Otherwise they're going to make us eat bugs and all that stuff. I don't want to eat that. I don't want to do that. Apparently it's not too bad. I think that's important to show that to the world that we can actually
00:31:35
Speaker
create And this is part of the podcast, right? We want to show people that you can create businesses that regenerate the planet and and create an income, maybe even a massive income because you'll be way more ecological, long-term, sustainable, all these things. So I'd like to hear your perspective on that in terms of how that will be integrated in in the movie. Yeah, and so that's why why where your part came in so great because you know we could talk about exercise, food, nutrition, but it's how the food is produced, which I didn't know. You actually taught me how it makes a big impact on the food and how you know the way that we
00:32:14
Speaker
do the soil, right? If we're dumping all these chemicals to kill the weeds, what is it? Ground up, which is the most used chemical in the United States. It's literally so destroying the soil and depleting all the nutrients of it. If we take that out and create healthy soil, that's going to give the food many more nutrients that then once once we consume, it's going to nourish our body. Also, like you said, in in the soil, you got humic and fulvic, right? which are very, very, very, very beneficial in taking free radicals out the body. Yeah. Yeah. So basically, a so a healthy soil contains elements called humic and folic acid, I think, or something is humic and folic. And, and this is key for healthy soil.
00:32:58
Speaker
And it's key for us as humans is when you consume it, it it takes you know the toxins and the free radicals out the body. Once the humic and fulvic is removed from the soil, A, the food is becoming less nutritionious nutritious. And then when we take it in, we're not actually getting the vitamins and minerals that we're supposed to. And that's why people can become you know vitamin vitamin ah defi you know deficient in certain vitamins and they have to take supplements. But if we were to create healthy soil, So the plants thrive, as you know, in other countries like Costa Rica, these, you know, smaller countries, they have amazing, amazing fresh fruit, fresh produce that is really, really nutritious.

Ecological Success Stories and Universal Rules

00:33:39
Speaker
Yeah. I think Costa Rica is an interesting one because they decided from a government perspective, they did so many great things. Like it's the only or first country ever in the world to abandon its army. Yes. and
00:33:54
Speaker
people were like very skeptical, like how are you going to protect yourself? But as it turns out, nobody ever cares anymore about invading Costa Rica or something. yeah so and And they doing like, because in the 60s, they were also as most areas of the world, they were chopping down the rainforest for wood production, obviously. And they started realizing that it's like their biggest asset, right? they They're in tourism and they said okay we'll stop that and they reversed it they started replanting everything and now Costa Rica is one of the most pristine ah ecological landscapes in the world so think and and again that creates the the environment right where do you want to spend your outdoors time right I mean I'll put it to you because you're in Canada it has a lot of amazing outdoor spaces
00:34:42
Speaker
To connect to nature more, nature heals us, nature is soothing, it grounds us. If we're not in nature at some point, we go we'll go crazy. So yeah, it's it's very important to get connected with nature. Obviously in Canada, we're surrounded by nature. Right now it's like minus 15, so it's a little cold, but you know you're still taking that time to to get outside is is so beneficial to us in so many ways. Yeah, amazing. That's really cool. I want to talk a little bit more before we kind of wrap wrap it up here. Let's see, but I want to talk more about your book. Tell me the title again and what it's really about and and let's talk about the three key
00:35:24
Speaker
insights from your book? Absolutely. So i I wrote a book called Master Your Universe, 11 Universal Rules for Success. It's looking at certain rules of the universe and rules of nature, similar to your book. um So it's pretty interesting on how we can live a better life. And and and I feel like it's it's these rules that man didn't create. They were created by whoever's above us. I'm not going to get into religion, God, or whatever the creator. they were created by the creator. And if you follow these rules, your life will get better. And once I learned them and started to apply them, my life got better. So I wanted to put them in a book and share them with people so they can their lives can just get better. Amazing. it's I really like that. let's let's Just for the audience here to take something home, let's give me your best tip.
00:36:06
Speaker
that they can apply immediately. I think what I said before, if you want to get more, you got to give more. And it's counterintuitive because everybody says, if I want to get more, I got to take more. Do the complete opposite. If you want to get more, give more. And I have a book called The Track Money Faster, where if you want more money, sometimes giving it away, you know, just just give. It doesn't have to be money. It's just your time, talent. The more that you give, you will receive. it's It's so crazy how this works, but I've time tested this. Other people know this. Just go give more and it's amazing how it just comes back around, right? What's that saying? What goes around comes around? yeah It just works, man. So if you want if you want to get more, go give more. That's it. That's a great secret of life. Yeah, incredible. And you're a living example of it, right? You you invested, I don't know what how much it doesn't really matter, but it seems like it was a significant amount that you invested in to spend time with Bob Proctor. like For me, I'm a huge fan of his what what he has done. I read his book and I followed a seminar from his his son. So I would love to hear from you what was like an incredible moment that you you shared with him that that really stood out.
00:37:27
Speaker
i said That's a great question, man. there's There are many moments. i think um Having spent time with him, you know i mean I told him i if I wanted to be an actor, and was that selfish of me? He goes, it's not selfish. it's If you're serving people and they're being entertained, you you know there it's it's not selfish because you're impacting people's lives. I think the biggest lesson I got from Bob though was just why what we know and what we do are completely different things. We can gather all the information we want, but that doesn't mean we're gonna take the action. The action is in a different part of our mind, right? The subconscious part of our mind that forms our habits, beliefs, behaviors. And it's that part of us that needs to change in order for change to happen in our lives. And that's why you see people that are so intellectually smart, they've got degrees coming off the end of their business card, but they're not living the life that they want or they're not you know doing the things because they haven't worked on the other part.
00:38:19
Speaker
right? The beliefs, the self image they have of themselves, all of this is in the unconscious part of our mind. The thing that we have gathered right over our life from the age of zero to seven, the beliefs, the memories, the behaviors, all the things that have been programmed into us. It's just like we've literally been programmed, right? And half the time we've been programmed from people who we don't know or can't remember, we've been programmed by our or like our family, our parents, and they were programmed by their parents. So we're walking around with beliefs that aren't even ours. And we're, we're sticking to them. So that's, that's the biggest thing it is changing beliefs. Then you'll change your life. Yeah. Yeah. Incredible. And from your personal perspective, how, how were you able to change that? That's amazing. So at first I wanted to be an actor. I didn't have the confidence to be on camera like this doing speaking. I wasn't a good speaker and then I just changed the image I had of myself. I literally just rolled out the person I want to be like.
00:39:12
Speaker
Instead of your mind giving you thoughts that you don't want, flip the scripts and give your mind thoughts that you do want, right? I literally just wrote out the person I wanted to be, like I'm confident. I actually still do it today. It's called a self-image script, where along with my 10 things that I'm grateful for every day, I just literally write out a script of how I want to be. and repetition over time engrains it in your mind. Act like the person you want to be and you will eventually become that person. So I kind of rewired myself in that way. Let's let's dial let's dissect that and that exercise a little more like that people can actually apply it. So how do you actually do it? So I'll write, I'll get a pen and a paper and I'll just start writing out you know how I want to be. So I'm kind calm, I'm confident. I walk around with my shoulders back and my head held high. I'm in light i'm full of energy. I'm so happy and grateful now that I'm ah getting becoming a more confident and talented actor. I land auditions easily. I feel confidence growing so growing inside of me. I look in the mirror and see pure raw self-confidence. I feel amazing. I'm an unrepeatable miracle. So all these kind of affirmation things that And you have to use emotional words because that's the language of the subconscious. So just writing it intellectually is okay, but but you got to use emotionally conveying language. And on top of that, if you can read it out with energy and enthusiasm, that's good as well because that's the language of the subconscious. So just write out the person that you want to be. And eventually what what people don't realize is we're we're living a ah the game of life.
00:40:37
Speaker
This is a movie called life and you can be the director you're the writer you're the star but most people make themselves extras in their own movies that's sad that's right so you gotta make yourself the star of the

Mindset, Focus, and Reality Shaping

00:40:51
Speaker
show. Wow, I really love that. I think that's an incredible insight. And i from my personal experience as well, it's like, I've come to understand now that whatever you put your focus on, it becomes your reality, right? Whatever, what what is this saying? Like whatever,
00:41:10
Speaker
ah I think it's whatever you put your focus on expands or something. That's a lot of attraction when I want, yeah, whatever you put your energy to, whatever you focus on, that's where your energy goes, right? And wherever attention goes, energy flows. And so we can spend all our time focusing on what we don't want or we can put it to what we want. We've just been programmed in condition to focus on what we don't want. And once you start to do this, it's a bit of a tennis match, right? You catch yourself, I'm still doing it today. I'm not perfect. We all get, cause you know, we've been, The habit's been created for so long, but the more that you do it, the more you work on it, the more you you will get better for sure. Yeah. I really liked that because like I was saying, what if you folk, i well, I see far too many people that are focusing on what they don't have, what they didn't achieve, what like it adds a creative kind of negativity around it. And then that actually continues to be their reality, right?
00:42:02
Speaker
Yeah, society makes you, conditions you for that because you you immediately, you know, you can scroll through your social media and see how good other people's lives are. And that makes you feel like crap. You can turn on the news and look at other people's lives or the negativity and it's going to make you feel down. So you have to be, that's why it's called a master of the universe. Understand what's going on, but then you're in control, yeah right? You be in control of your world. And, um Once you start to do that, remember like from what we're learning, right our ah we don't see reality, we see our version of reality. And in the quantum model of reality, your mind is actually shaping outside reality. So the more that you begin to focus on what you want, get emotionally involved, you will start to actually see outer reality
00:42:45
Speaker
shape itself to your will. And that's what I did with the film. I just said, I wanted to create a health and wellness documentary film and change the world. And I just held the image of it. I wrote it out. All of a sudden I'm attracting all these people from all over the world, from the U I didn't know any people are just, I'm just finding them online and you will find it. If you build it, they will come. So, but you gotta be disciplined. You gotta have the mental tools and, and you need the right direction because it's hard to do it by yourself. You know, that's what having a coach or a mentor is going to cut the learning curve for you. Absolutely.

Embracing Growth and Taking Action

00:43:13
Speaker
And so, I do have a Master Universe ah Elite Mentoring program that I've created the book from now to to go more in-depth with these principles. yeah Amazing. I think this is something that people can really take home to practice. And what you mentioned is really important to me is that you can't it's very tough to do it alone. right if you you will what There's another saying, we need to find it.
00:43:37
Speaker
you Alone you will walk fast, but with a team you will walk further, right? Can you help me out here? No, no, you said it great. i think One man can walk alone, yeah but with more people you can you can go farther. yeah I think um the people who think that they can do it on all on their own are naive. you know You do need a team, you do need people that are where you want to be. and you know, you grow you grow together. so and And even if you can't meet them, well, there's books, there's podcasts, there's things you can listen to like this to give value to yourself. Just you got to make a decision who you want to who you want to be in life, right? yeah yeah there you can We can either live with the pain of discipline or the pain of regret, right? And I think it's just that mindset change. And that's that's what it took for me. And I think you went through it as well. Once you train with these people, or once you kind of go through to your own awakening, yeah
00:44:28
Speaker
That is when you know the flip script that you know you switch. Otherwise, you know if you haven't done any of your own personal growth or you haven't done any self-development, you're going to just still be on the path of mediocreness. right That's what society and what or you know they condition you to be at the end of the day, but you got to fight through that. right And there's so many things waiting for you. If you just have the courage to just just move forward, just take one action step, just read one book, go to one seminar, that'll lead to the next step, to the next step, to the next step. And then you'll be like Matthew here, changing the world, you know, and me.
00:45:03
Speaker
Yeah, amazing. Thank you. I really like that comment. And I think it really inspires people to go ahead and and find that mentor or surround yourself with the people that that inspire you. And then from there, lots of amazing things can happen. I can say it from my my own personal experience it and way faster than you can ever imagine. that's That's really... Matthew has quantum leaped his life in one year. He's done more in one year than someone has done in 10 years. And that's what I did. and It's just amazing. like Think about what you've gone through. I've seen some of it. Like, wow, you have grown and you have took in giant leaps. And look where it's going. I'm so amazed to see what you're doing now and excited to see what you're going to do in the future. And so excited and so grateful for you to be in my film. It was an honor to have you, Matthew.
00:45:52
Speaker
Amazing. Yeah. thanks Thanks for that. And on that note, I'm going to ask you the final question. I think ah think you might like this question. So it's a bit of a different question, but we are a couple of years down the line from today. You are a world famous film director. You are you get an award on the Golden Globes, you are asked to go on stage and you get the microphone and what do you say? Oh my gosh, I love it. I love it. What would I say? I think I would just... You must have thought about this, right? I have, I have. You you need to be prepared, Manny. Honestly, I think I would be in like tears. i would I would be in like that tears because you know you've you've dreamt about it for so long.
00:46:44
Speaker
I would just give huge huge gratitude to obviously the creator the universe for bringing me here all of the people that have been a part of my journey my family my friends my mentors just to just give a huge extreme gratitude. and just say that, you know, anything's possible, right? If you just follow your passion and follow your dreams and just would just give a big woo-hoo and say, you know, this is what happens when you have the courage to to pursue your dreams. Don't give up. Just keep going forward and um have a vision, not just for yourself, but a vision to to impact lives as well. That's it.
00:47:22
Speaker
Amazing, yeah. On that note, we're going to end the show here. Thank you very much, Manny, for ah being here. We are actually in ah and the in Toronto and Canada at the moment. So ah this is your home ah country or your home place. It's been a ah great honour. Thank you very much, Manny. Thank you so much, Matthew.
