Speaker: And the expo's happening in a couple of days.
Speaker: We do have news.
Speaker: You and I are getting new games.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: We'll talk about that.
Speaker: So where'd you get your game from?
Speaker: That's the big question.
Speaker: I contacted Zach and Nicola flipping out pinball and I am getting...
Speaker: one of the last one from the last run of guardians of the galaxy.
Speaker: Nice.
Speaker: So it will be nice because, uh, I have missed iron man a little bit since I sold it.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Um, don't, I don't want to own another iron man, but this has a similar feel, but kind of an upgraded iron man feel.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So I'm, I'm looking forward to it and my friend has it.
Speaker: Uh, Brandon has it and I've loved playing it and I just wanted to pull the trigger before it, it went on, went into the vault.
Speaker: I agree.
Speaker: I have the same sentiments you do.
Speaker: I called Zach because just like you, I heard Guardians of the Galaxy was going out of style.
Speaker: That Stern's no longer going to be doing it.
Speaker: I've honestly never owned a Guardians or a Metallica, so I thought this was a great opportunity to try.
Speaker: I've never owned a Metallica either.
Speaker: Yeah, and this is definitely the more family-friendly version with the group that you bash instead of Sparky.
Speaker: So Zach was flipping out, hooked me up.
Speaker: I know that I was late on the list, but
Speaker: We made some space.
Speaker: I was able to make it on.
Speaker: So I'm excited.
Speaker: I got the call today.
Speaker: It'll be here tomorrow.
Speaker: So I need to be available anywhere from 9 in the morning until 5 in the afternoon.
Speaker: I love that, right?
Speaker: Oh, can you be a little more non-specific with your time?
Speaker: Can you be like... Right, yeah.
Speaker: Can you at least give me a month that I just have to be available?
Speaker: Exactly.
Speaker: Just say Tuesday.
Speaker: It's crazy.

Speaker: Of all the games, I have ordered all but two so far.

Speaker: And that is one of them, yes, because not really available yet.

Speaker: I really, I'm looking at it and I, I think it's going to be a sleeper hit.
Speaker: Uh, it's, it, it looks just like it has the vibe of Deadpool and maybe that will help jumpstart it.
Speaker: So when people play it, they'll think, oh, this, this has a familiar vibe, you know, you know, like we like,
Speaker: We want new, but we like familiar, right?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: And so people are going to warm up to this game faster than they warmed up to Deadpool.
Speaker: But I still think, as we talked about the fumbling of the launch that I really lay on the licensor, that it's probably cooled off sales a little bit.
Speaker: And so there may not be as many of them.
Speaker: So it may be a game to hold on to and buy because it will go up in value.
Speaker: I mean, look at Stranger Things.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: I mean, that game, a premium, you can't get under, what, $9,000 now?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: 10, 10, 11, somewhere on there.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: It's insane.
Speaker: So the other one, what's the other one?
Speaker: Oh, what is the other one?
Speaker: Elvira.

Speaker: That is actually one of the two that I don't, I wasn't really thinking of James Bond because so Elvira.

Speaker: You know, because you don't want to have to explain to your kids when you plunge the ball and it lands in the back door of the house.

Speaker: I know, but you never ordered it directly from Zach.

Speaker: I'm not going to buy another one.

Speaker: This was my dream theme.
Speaker: And once I saw it, I wasn't that interested.
Speaker: Star Wars.
Speaker: Oh, I went and I played my friend Star Wars.
Speaker: He got Nelly and he had two games at the time that were fairly new.
Speaker: Star Wars Ellie, which looks really pretty.
Speaker: I actually I thought the both art styles were actually favorable to the game.
Speaker: Um, but he also had attack from Mars downstairs and I played attack from Mars the entire night.
Speaker: I played star Wars like once or twice.
Speaker: So I, I've never, I have yet to feel that I want to own a star Wars.
Speaker: Gotcha.
Speaker: Gotcha.

Speaker: Which is sad because I do love the theme.
Speaker: Well, I haven't really, I usually don't honestly order much from Stern.
Speaker: Maybe I just don't order much, period.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: Maybe I do.

Speaker: I ordered a lot.
Speaker: I, I am to the point with though, where if one goes in, at least one has to go out.
Speaker: Oh yeah.
Speaker: Possibly one or two.
Speaker: So right now my entire house is torn up because we are going through renovations.
Speaker: So four of my machines are actually folded up in the garage and shrink wrapped.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So tell us, tell us about what's going on.
Speaker: Obviously what your last two weeks is.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So it's just been super crazy.
Speaker: We, um,
Speaker: Well, we, and by we, I mean my wife, decided that she wanted to do some renovations on the house, which is totally fine.
Speaker: It's a 2006 house, so there seems to be some things that need to be freshened up.
Speaker: And we had contacts with a contractor and a designer.
Speaker: And they came up with the design and basically we're redoing the entire main level of the house.
Speaker: So I haven't had time to do much in the last two weeks other than completely pack away or throw away stuff that we don't need.
Speaker: That's always fun too.
Speaker: Like your wife's like, do we keep this?
Speaker: And you're like, uh, yeah, actually it was, it was kind of therapeutic because it was like, you know what?
Speaker: I don't need it.
Speaker: I haven't needed it.
Speaker: So it's gone.
Speaker: I don't know about you and your family, but my wife is like, have you used it in the last six months?
Speaker: It's like, uh, is there any like emotional attachment?
Speaker: Like it's a family heirloom.
Speaker: You know what I'm saying?
Speaker: Well, ironically, the only thing that was broken was,
Speaker: Was a curio cabinet that was my mom's that had all this fancy glass in it.
Speaker: And that's the only thing they dropped and broke almost every piece of glass in there.
Speaker: So we're like, well, it is what it is.
Speaker: So that's what's going on in my house.
Speaker: We are basement dwellers for the next six months.
Speaker: At least you've got a nice enough basement that you can dwell down there.
Speaker: Yeah, it has 10 machines.
Speaker: uh my last two weeks have been what has been my last two weeks been mine's mostly mostly focusing on flipping the script which we'll talk about later uh i got rid of johnny i can't remember if that was gone last time we talked you talked you talked about it yeah okay so johnny and earthshaker are both gone and i've upgraded to guardians of the galaxy i got the call fedex is bringing it tomorrow
Speaker: like I said, anywhere from nine to four.
Speaker: So good thing my wife doesn't have a job because someone's got to be home to receive it, I guess.
Speaker: Uh, other than that, we, we had my father-in-law's birthday party here.
Speaker: Always a blast having the family over to play some pinball, play cards.
Speaker: Uh, my wife makes homemade stewed tomatoes and then she then incorporates that into, uh,
Speaker: a sauce she makes for what we call smother burritos.
Speaker: It's imagine a salsa mixed with like a stew tomato.
Speaker: And then she adds in like olives and pork chops and mushrooms.
Speaker: And it's just this delicious sauce that you pour over the top of your burrito.
Speaker: And we, it's a special treat cause we don't get it very often.
Speaker: So she did that yesterday.
Speaker: Delicious.
Speaker: I bet Bill Webb's drooling.
Speaker: I know he loves his burritos, man.
Speaker: You got to come out.
Speaker: We'll make you smother burrito sometime.
Speaker: Yeah, other than that, it's been focusing on the kids.
Speaker: Fall break was last week.
Speaker: I think that was for you guys as well, right?
Speaker: It was, but we spent all our time cleaning.
Speaker: Yeah, and ours was, we went to like the corn maze.
Speaker: We have those here.
Speaker: It was fun.
Speaker: We used to have them all in Highland too, but they, because all the building boom, it has completely taken away all the cornfields.
Speaker: really oh yeah we don't have any cornfields here anymore it's funny because we go to the corn maze right and my twins that are three and a half decided that they were more addicted to the zip line and weren't anything else so it's like we spent the money to get in just to i to write a zip line hey but the kids had fun yeah they had fun so but yeah that's that's been my last couple weeks that's
Speaker: I guess when you're a family man, you do what the family wants to do, right?
Speaker: You can.
Speaker: Yeah, exactly.
Speaker: So, Hey, I want to, speaking of a family man, I want to give a shout out to Tim Lee and his wife, Amy Lee for, was it 20 wonderful years of marriage?
Speaker: I mean, it was a big one, 20 or 25.
Speaker: They went and celebrated and it looks like they had a,
Speaker: a lot of fun going to like Rochester collective pinball, um, and just kind of go into the East coast.
Speaker: So congratulations to them.
Speaker: Speaking of family.
Speaker: Should we get into some of the news?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Um, is there news?
Speaker: There hasn't been much.
Speaker: Uh, uh, apparently we'll be able to, we'll talk about this, but, um, pinball brothers are bringing over queen.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: They, they announced it today.
Speaker: Well, they gave a teaser post, uh,
Speaker: A shrink wrap machine that you can see queen through and they're like, we have no idea what's in this, but it's coming to expo with, uh, they've done that.
Speaker: Um, what else do we, what else did we say?
Speaker: There's, there really hasn't been much.
Speaker: The thing is, it's like bond.
Speaker: We're in this like really weird, like bonds been revealed ish for the most part.
Speaker: I know that the live streams tomorrow we're recording on Monday, the 17th.
Speaker: So by the time you hear this, they probably already shown the stream of it.
Speaker: Um,
Speaker: It's weird because Americans are on the hot seat because we keep hearing about Galactic Tank Force.
Speaker: Dennis from Eclectic Gamers, Dennis and Tony on Rumor Corner said that it's a possibility CGC has finished Pulp Fiction and we might see that this week.
Speaker: So that could be awesome.
Speaker: I mean, there's, we're in a Spider-Man standoff, you know, with the imposters and we're just waiting for someone to shoot their webs.
Speaker: Trying to figure out.
Speaker: Exactly.
Speaker: Exactly.
Speaker: But we've, we've had some confirmations over the last week.
Speaker: It's nice.
Speaker: Bond will be at expo.
Speaker: At least that's what Jack danger announced via his streaming page on Facebook.
Speaker: Queenie.
Speaker: It's going to be there from Pinball Brothers.
Speaker: Magic Girl, I know this was announced a while ago, but they're getting their own whole booth just for Magic Girl.
Speaker: So it's going to be interesting what they have set up there.
Speaker: I'll be interested to see how that thing plays because they obviously had to do some significant modifications to make that a playing game because the way that it was initially set up, it was not playable.
Speaker: But let's get into Expo really quick.
Speaker: Wednesday, it sounds like you're getting in Wednesday.
Speaker: I'm getting in Wednesday.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Most of the crew's getting in on Wednesday, it sounds like.
Speaker: It sounds like a lot of people.
Speaker: And that night, there'll be some people setting up or vendors set up.
Speaker: There's going to be a bumper blast welcoming party at Interium.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: So I'm hoping to stop by there.
Speaker: It sounds like a great location.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I definitely want to see some of the...
Speaker: the establishments outside of my home state because there's some really good ones out there.
Speaker: Definitely.
Speaker: galloping ghost is there as well i don't know they usually have something going on during chicago yeah they as well and they're they're one of the few that actually have uh one of those predator predator machines yeah complete with dangling skull and spine bones i know that's just creepy it's awesome that is that is quite the uh it is it is uh engagement with the game so yeah
Speaker: So yeah, you get in Wednesday, you're getting in around about noon.
Speaker: I'm getting around five-ish.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: My wife and my mother-in-law are coming with me.
Speaker: They're coming to support Flipping the Script on Autism.
Speaker: I think I'm pretty much just setting up.
Speaker: Depending on what's gone on with Zach and George, we're right next to Flipping Out Spoof.
Speaker: We've seen the map, by the way.
Speaker: I know this hasn't been posted publicly, but we're right next to Stern.
Speaker: We're just north of them.
Speaker: I think that's north.
Speaker: If you've been to Expo before, when you walk through the double doors, if you remember where Stern was at, they were on the far right side.
Speaker: We're just a little bit past them.
Speaker: I haven't seen one of the tournament areas either.
Speaker: Tournament area is upstairs, remember?
Speaker: Oh, yes.
Speaker: They actually have that set up upstairs.
Speaker: Last time, they had...
Speaker: uh kind of a curtained area that was separated from the vendor area so i believe it's in a completely different location this time well they were having issues with people sneaking in through the curtain yeah into the vendor area i think that's one of the main reasons they moved the tournament area upstairs is so that way they wouldn't have more controlled access yeah exactly thursday
Speaker: So Thursday, we are, we're pretty booked.
Speaker: 10 AM to 10 PM.
Speaker: We've got flipping the script.
Speaker: This is Josh's brainchild that he started for, for autism.
Speaker: And there's an autism center that is by Josh that his son actually goes to.
Speaker: This is not a fundraiser for Josh's son.
Speaker: It's actually a fundraiser for the location.
Speaker: But this is something that he feels very strongly about and to be able to help out this facility that, you know, sadly, a lot of these type of resources are underfunded.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: That's the bottom line.
Speaker: And a lot of people are in get a weird donut hole situation where they have to pay thousands of dollars really even before their insurance kicks in.
Speaker: When we discussed with Sarah Foster, the owner and operator of Learning Solutions, and Justin Benson, the facility gentleman that's over everything, and he'll actually be with us there on Thursday, we found out that their ultimate goal is $25,000.
Speaker: And the reason being is they have 31 kids on a waiting list.
Speaker: if you're not familiar with the process of being diagnosed for autism, it is a long, emotional, tedious, year-plus venture.
Speaker: And it's expensive.
Speaker: And so 31 kids...
Speaker: are on that list.
Speaker: They need some money to take care of that.
Speaker: Sarah said that 25,000 should take care of these 31 kids.
Speaker: It will take care of, not should, it will take care of them and they'll be able to get the diagnosis.
Speaker: So the insurance will kick in so they can start getting the therapies and stuff that they need.
Speaker: So all the money is actually not even going to learning solutions is going directly to these kids.
Speaker: Basically it's a scholarship program.
Speaker: Yeah, definitely.
Speaker: If you're in, you're well aware of how charities and stuff work, Scott, because you've done yours with,
Speaker: Yeah, it's, it's hard.
Speaker: It's hard because trying to find the best way of raising the money, but making it as transparent as possible to make sure I, in my heart, I believe that people are willing to give to charities as long as they feel that what they're giving is utilized in the way they want it to be.
Speaker: So that's the reason why we set there.
Speaker: Well, Josh set this up.
Speaker: So the money passes directly to them.
Speaker: Like we're not collecting it and then distributing it.
Speaker: It's going to them.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Is Ari going to go, it's set up in a bank that is going directly to these families and paying those medical expenses.
Speaker: And it actually goes to a board.
Speaker: That board then all has to sign off on that money going to the medical expenses.
Speaker: People are willing to give money if it's utilized for the right reasons.
Speaker: And you guys are the ones that went out on all of this.
Speaker: I mean, it's a great cause.
Speaker: You're helping the future of these children.
Speaker: And there are some wonderful items up for auction.
Speaker: We had to shift the schedule.

Speaker: And yeah, this thing looks pretty awesome.

Speaker: Again, what an awesome, what an awesome donation.
Speaker: We, we are, I'm blown away by how willing the, the manufacturers and, and all the supporters were willing to contribute to this because we, it's not like I have $10,000 worth of swag to give away.
Speaker: I mean, I've got some hats and I got other stuff that I can do, but for them to step up and give their personal, uh, well, their, their company, their personal merchandise for us to auction off.
Speaker: It, it really is overwhelming.
Speaker: Definitely.
Speaker: And it's crazy too.
Speaker: Like once we actually started the auction and it went live, uh,
Speaker: We had a ton more people step up and say, hey, here's more stuff.
Speaker: Here's more stuff.
Speaker: We more than doubled the items that we already had.
Speaker: It's crazy.
Speaker: It's been awesome.

Speaker: So there are some things that I definitely will be bidding on.
Speaker: Yeah, I keep looking at the list.

Speaker: And it all goes to a great cost.

Speaker: he is going to come in it's going to be talking to me about some cgc may some code raw thrills we're going to have a pinball machine set up play some pinball you know josh just took second in the tournament that they did last weekend
Speaker: i want him to bring his championship belt and show that thing off because for all the second place talk this man has literally like the wrestling championship belt right that he has won and i'm like if you did that more you get more people in the competitive pinball right yeah and forget a trophy to be fair he would also destroy 99 of the people out there that he would play against exactly
Speaker: So we have them up first.
Speaker: Actually, we'll do an introduction first.
Speaker: We'll probably introduce not only ourselves, but some of the people that are involved and some of the people that have donated.

Speaker: He has a lot of wealth of knowledge.

Speaker: It's, it's you know, working through deep root and for him to have such a passion for pinball and be able to find a next phase when we all know what happened to deep root.

Speaker: He's such a positive influence and a great player.
Speaker: And I don't know of anybody who has a negative thing to say about him.

Speaker: If you haven't seen it, tell me about the movie.
Speaker: I, I have been so busy the last two weeks.
Speaker: I have not been able to watch it.
Speaker: So if you're a T.O.L.S.
Speaker: skip ahead, uh, cause I know that anything, any kind of spoiler does not rub him the right way.
Speaker: Even if you say it's good or bad or indifferent, right?
Speaker: So this is the, that was your warning.
Speaker: I thought it was fantastic.
Speaker: Uh, I'm not, I'm not going to spoil it with what happens in the court because none of us know what happened back in 1976.
Speaker: Right?
Speaker: No, it was, it was a wonderful balance between him and his wife and them in their dating life and him trying to balance that was with pinball and his job at GQ.
Speaker: And it was really, really well done.
Speaker: I don't know how else to put it.
Speaker: The humor was fantastic.
Speaker: It felt very, it's a success story.
Speaker: Anybody can look at Roger and know what an unqualified success he has been in pinball where he has been able to make it marketable and bring his passion and his experience to pinball.
Speaker: and really take it to the next level.
Speaker: I, I still think about the documentary I saw, it's called the way of the puck and people who were fanatics about air hockey and, and they were, they had the same level of passion, but just not the same like commercial success because once you buy an air hockey machine, that's it, you got it.
Speaker: Like you're not buying a new one.
Speaker: I, I have purchased probably 20, 25 pinball machines because each machine brings its own life.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: So it's, it's so awesome that Roger was able to do to, to get both of those, because that's pretty rare to find your passion and your dream job.
Speaker: And that's, that's what Roger had.
Speaker: Well, what I loved about this too, is, is we usually see Roger as a very charismatic, wonderful guy that knows what always to say.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: And in this movie, it was kind of like,
Speaker: He's starting out in a world he doesn't know, and he doesn't know exactly what to say.
Speaker: And I've never got the perception that he necessarily didn't want to do the court stuff.
Speaker: But he was asked to very nicely by the MAA, which was based in New York.
Speaker: And so it's about that.
Speaker: If you know about the Roger Sharp tapes, when he went and interviewed all these people, they were starting to release them via Coast to Coast when he was wrapping everything up.
Speaker: Those were the actual tapes that they talk about in this movie.
Speaker: It's just, it's, it's amazing.
Speaker: It's, it's really good.
Speaker: What I liked about it is, so I had my wife watch it and I didn't sit over her.
Speaker: She, she took her on time and watched it herself.
Speaker: And by the end of, I said, what'd you think?
Speaker: She's like, I really liked it.
Speaker: It didn't feel like they were forcing pinball history on me.
Speaker: It was an actual story and it didn't feel like a Hallmark special.
Speaker: You know, the Hallmark specials.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: It's, it seems just a little too sappy sweet.
Speaker: Well, not only that, but like, even the, like the filmography is almost like nineties cameras.
Speaker: Like we never really did update and it's a little cheesy with the green screens.
Speaker: None of that was this.
Speaker: The, it was, it was a solidly good made movie.
Speaker: This felt like I could have, they could have put it in the theaters across the nation and it felt like it belonged there kind of thing.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Kind of mockumentary, not mockumentary, but when I say mockumentary, I think of like modern family.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I feel like that modern family kind of style.
Speaker: The older Roger Sharpe's kind of narrating throughout his younger life.
Speaker: There's just some great moments with that too as well.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I think if you're a pinball fan, you're gonna love it.
Speaker: If you're not a pinball fan, I really do think you'll enjoy this movie.
Speaker: You'll enjoy it anyway, which is where you're gonna find the extra people, right?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Because this is where, there's those margins, the middle, the swing voters that you need to win over.
Speaker: If you're worried about rating, I would put this movie at a PG, maybe PG-13.
Speaker: I can't really remember any swear words that really stood out to me.
Speaker: There's even a joke made at that expense in the movie.
Speaker: But...
Speaker: I think if it's safe to say, if you listen to us, you're going to be fine.
Speaker: Yep, exactly.
Speaker: So Jen's excited.
Speaker: She's ecstatic.
Speaker: I think they just did a movie to hang out and just be around there just so I can, I'm going to bring my pinball book.
Speaker: I need you to remind me.
Speaker: So I need to go grab that too.
Speaker: And then 7.30 to 9.00, this is our headliner, Zach Mene with Mark Silk, the one, the only.
Speaker: Mark is one of the funniest men that I've ever talked to.
Speaker: He has so much energy.
Speaker: And if he were not a professional voice actor, he could have been a professional comedian.
Speaker: Legitimately, the guy is that funny.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: He's fantastic.
Speaker: And it's funny.
Speaker: We asked him to do this months ago.
Speaker: I just said, hey, I don't know if you're coming to Expo.
Speaker: This is what I got going on.
Speaker: He's like, I'll be there.
Speaker: I was like, well, you don't have to come if you don't.
Speaker: He's like, no.
Speaker: He's like, consider me in.
Speaker: Mark's so great on him.
Speaker: Yeah, I was blown away when he – yeah.
Speaker: And so I'm excited.
Speaker: Zach and Mark both have great personalities.
Speaker: They're going to be quite the charismatic pair together.
Speaker: So it's going to be interesting to see.
Speaker: how that goes.
Speaker: And then we're gonna wrap everything up with me and you and Justin Benson of Learning Solutions.
Speaker: We're gonna take the last hour on that one.
Speaker: All these interviews are about an hour and a half long.
Speaker: So the last hour is just going to be us kind of going over where the auction sits at and kind of talk about learning solutions.
Speaker: It might not be 100% just us and Justin.

Speaker: Um, we get, so I, I'm, but I'm glad that it's been able to say, you know what?
Speaker: We really want to bring people together for a common cause.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: And it really has brought a lot of people together.
Speaker: A lot.
Speaker: And I'm very humbled at the community, at the industry, at the friends that we've made.
Speaker: This is just, it's been amazing.
Speaker: And I can't wait for Thursday.
Speaker: I mean, we're Monday night and man, I just, Wednesday cannot get here soon enough so I can get on that airplane.
Speaker: So that's, that's mainly our Thursday.
Speaker: If you don't want to watch us for 12 hours, there is the JJP tour.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: I'm excited.
Speaker: We're going to try to figure out how we can get a tour.
Speaker: I'm not sure if it'll jive with the schedule, but it's, it's a great opportunity.
Speaker: If you're there on Thursday, what a great way of seeing like up close and personal how manufacturing works.
Speaker: So it should be great.
Speaker: I would definitely check that out.
Speaker: And I'm, again, I'm so glad they have updated their format.
Speaker: that the expo hall opens at 12 noon.
Speaker: And it closes at midnight.
Speaker: And so that is 12 hours of everything.
Speaker: And including like, uh, there are, are speakers that are going on.
Speaker: There's, um, there's the battle of the bells women's tournament too.
Speaker: Uh, there's a pinball expo world cup tournament.
Speaker: And so there's all these other things that are going on too.
Speaker: It's, it's a full day.
Speaker: It's not like you're waiting around last year.
Speaker: Um, they, they had a segregated, they had like a free play area.
Speaker: And on the other side, they had, uh,
Speaker: They had the vendor area.
Speaker: The vendor area.
Speaker: It is mixed and mingled.
Speaker: It is together like it is at Texas Pinball Festival.
Speaker: Which is a better format.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: It's a much better format.
Speaker: So you won't have to wait for five or six hours just to get in to play some of that vendor stuff and only get to play it for four hours or whatever it might be.
Speaker: Again, they took feedback to heart.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: And explore all of Expo.
Speaker: So what we've got going on Friday, we've got the virtual tour with Stern.
Speaker: I know that.
Speaker: Don't sleep on that one.
Speaker: That one's fantastic.
Speaker: That was fun.
Speaker: It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Because Jack was able to go into different areas that we wouldn't have been able to go to.
Speaker: So that was, that was an interesting take on it.
Speaker: I still, at some point would like to do the Stern in-person tour, but it was a good alternative.
Speaker: Plenty of, I think expo even opens up earlier on Friday.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Friday it's a 10 AM.
Speaker: Awesome.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Closes at midnight again.
Speaker: A lot of seminars that are going on.
Speaker: And the one I'm looking forward to a lot is, um,
Speaker: And then Roger Sharp and the man who saved pinball is five o'clock.
Speaker: So that's one thing I'm earmarking.
Speaker: Then Saturday we have, so you and I signed up again for pinball Olympics.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Noon to four and it will go a little bit over.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: But definitely worth it.
Speaker: So every cent head up there.
Speaker: It's certainly it's awesome.
Speaker: I hear it's sold out, but they're, you know, if you're really looking for that thing, they may be able to figure something out.
Speaker: But anyway, I did hear all 100 tickets were sold out and it's it's a full afternoon of drinks and tacos and weird games.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: And when you say weird games, it's not like some randomly made game.
Speaker: No, no.
Speaker: This is like someone took a Metallica and decided to hook up one of the stand-ups to the tilt ball.
Speaker: To a tilt on the other machine.
Speaker: Yeah, because there's still Metallicas.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: It's fantastic.
Speaker: The one I'm looking forward to playing again is the Upside Down Barracora, where you're playing with a mirror.
Speaker: yep the luge yep um oh come on i thought xenon was your favorite yeah no no just don't go past the beaded curtain that is certainly a it's a it's a unique game i would say 99 of their games are very family friendly that one happens to be in the blue area exactly or is that the pink room i can't remember which room it was in but don't
Speaker: If you see a beaded curtain and you're not into that kind of stuff, just do not go pass a beaded curtain.
Speaker: There should be a turntable up in his garage, if I remember correctly.
Speaker: Yeah, and that was TNA last year.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: And I was told it gets switched every year, so it won't be just... So I don't know what it'll be this time.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So a lot of wonderful games.
Speaker: It sounds like you and I are hitching a ride with Amanda and Mike Hamilton.
Speaker: I think so.
Speaker: We're going to tie you to the hood of the car.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So put some antlers on you.
Speaker: I don't know if that's legal in Illinois.
Speaker: I know it's here in Utah.
Speaker: It probably is.
Speaker: And then Sunday's wrap-up day.
Speaker: I know that some people are going to be taken down Saturday night.
Speaker: Tournament will still be going on on Sunday.
Speaker: My flight doesn't leave until 4 on Sunday.

Speaker: I'm in addition to that and everything we've talked about, I'm really looking forward to James Bond.

Speaker: Because I am excited to see that game and, and get my hands on it.
Speaker: It's so hard to get a feel for a game when you're just watching the video of it.

Speaker: Because, you know, some games may be,
Speaker: awesome to shoot and other games just maybe a clunk fest and it could just be how the game set up, but it will be fun to try that out.
Speaker: So that that is definitely on my target list of I want to I want to play the pro I want to play the premium because there are people who are maybe leaning more toward pro than they would on any other title.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So there's there may not be significant differences.
Speaker: but I, I still want to experience them both because I anticipate this being a sleeper hip.
Speaker: There is a handful of machines.
Speaker: I do want to try while we're there.
Speaker: I want to make sure we try is it rat race?
Speaker: Oh, that comes to expo every year.
Speaker: Yeah, that was, yeah, it's a, it's kind of like playing, um, Oh, what's that game?
Speaker: Labyrinth.
Speaker: Like in the seventies, you had that tilt thing that was tilted two ways and it would go into a hole.
Speaker: Um,
Speaker: You know, it's like a maze that has these holes.
Speaker: So yeah, rat race.
Speaker: It's a pinball machine, but it's like, it's like, it's a competition.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: It's, it's like a coffee table style too.
Speaker: You have to sit down and the whole play field moves and you're moving it.
Speaker: And so I love playing joust when you have that joust is it's, it's a unique game.
Speaker: I want to try magic girl.
Speaker: Cause you know, Oh yeah.
Speaker: History, history there.
Speaker: I, I want to check out the homebrew section, spend a little more time.
Speaker: I, we felt like we had to rush through it last year.
Speaker: But I want to spend a little more time there.
Speaker: Definitely want to try out Queen and any games that they might reveal.
