Ipswich's Remarkable Comeback at Goodison Park

00:00:25
Global Sports Podcast Network
My name's Rob Bins and unfortunately I'm on my own today for this Match Reaction Monday episode, as Ipswich have finally come from behind to pick up a result, the first time since the draw of Manchester United all the way back in November.
00:00:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
that we've shown that bit of character and that bit of fight when we've fallen behind to go on and get a a very good point, you'd say, at Goodison Park. A tough place to go, particularly since David Moyes has taken over and it spoils their party a little bit as well with it being the last ever Saturday 3 o'clock kick-off at Goodison before they obviously move over to their new stadium next season.
00:01:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
And like I say, ah ah we're we're in the business now we're just trying to pick up whatever memories and positives we can at this stage aren't where we know relegation's coming. It's about sort trying to end on a bit of a high and leave a bit of a lasting impact, maybe, as for as much as we can.

Creating Memorable Fan Experiences Amidst Relegation

00:01:19
Global Sports Podcast Network
Because you never know. nothing Nothing's ever guaranteed that we might look in a strong position to come back up next year, but you never know what happens. I mean, you just said the same about Luton, who have now been relegated to League One after this weekend's results as well. But like I say, so it's making memories while they're there. and So we have would have been a memorable trip for All those town fans who travelled up and packed out the away end at Goodison Park. Like say, it's the last chance it's going to be to go there because they're moving stadium next season. So we've come up and managed to get one more game in there. And we've walked away with a positive result as well.
00:01:51
Global Sports Podcast Network
Which, like I makes a vast difference to the last few of these Monday episodes that we've had to do going back to games. I think obviously there's Wolves. Wolves was a horrible one to have to do. So unfortunately, i wasn't I didn't have to actually do that one myself. And then, yeah, Newcastle and Arsenal, where we've just... Yeah, there have been ones you don't want to talk about. There's not been many positives to pick out of those games.
00:02:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
I don't think we even had a shot on target on those two combined. So it's nice to have something good to talk about on this sort result. And upon doing a bit of research on the stats, it's actually the first time that we've come we come back from two goals down in the Premier League since 2001, obviously. Yeah.
00:02:30
Global Sports Podcast Network
majority of that time frame we've been spent out of the league but when we drew three all was Southampton we were two goals down at one point there and famously 2-0 at Goodison Park is 2-0 down at Goodison Park I should say it's actually been a fairly favourable scoreline this season Man United have come back from two down there to draw way back at the start of the season they had two or three games in quick succession where they were two-0 up and three games away I think it was Aston Villa, one of them. One of them was definitely Bournemouth. They lost 3-2 after being 2-0 up for five minutes to go. But as a team who doesn't tend to finish games very well and doesn't look like they have much fight in them when they go one goal behind, theyll let alone two goals behind, there's bit of a positive, maybe maybe too a little too late, but there's always an element of that once your team's already relegated. But overall, a decent shift that we can so we can be fairly happy with.
00:03:22
Global Sports Podcast Network
so we have We had more shots in the end, more shots on target, less possession than you expected on the away team. but Overall, it would have been nice to put push on that final 10 minutes once Hurst got that equaliser to could we push on and try and win the game? You never know. It it was a game of fairly few cut clear-cut chances, truth be told, but so besides the four goals. and Even two of the four goals were just strikes on long distance.
00:03:46
Global Sports Podcast Network
There wasn't lots of high-quality football being played and three-flowing chances here and there, but <unk> entertaining game of football the same. Let's say we will take any points we can get because, of course, as we said, that the ah whether it's a club's aim or not, but certainly something we're keeping an eye on on the podcast is trying to get past that 25 points mark so it's not the lowest ever top flight total in the club's history. and Another one down, 22 we're on now, three points from three games we've got left, Brentford, Leicester, West Ham, I'd say that's doable and that's something we can take out of this season, if nothing else. But
00:04:22
Global Sports Podcast Network
say hopefully it's a we yeah we are able to kick on from um for this and end the season in a positive way because it will mean nothing ultimately, but we'll try and improve the overall experience of our

Standout Performances: Ciso and Hurst Shine

00:04:34
Global Sports Podcast Network
Premier League season. and It was another fantastic game and lots of good performances in there, definitely. I mean, what player in CISO looks like as well. I've said this a few times so when when games we've lost, how how sharp he's looked and he's always looked like the one who's going to make something happen. He seems to just found that extra gear with that goal he got at Chelsea, like finally getting off the mark there. He's then putting some good shifts again and say, some of the games prior. Then, say, the last two games have been very minimal attacking flourishes, but it's sort of been, and see the two goal scorers from this game, and Ciso and Hurst have been sort of the only couple of players who have been close to covering themselves in any bit of glory over the last couple of weeks with the poor results we've had, but
00:05:19
Global Sports Podcast Network
Another very impressive performance in the Paraguayan, who is some player. and Well, we know he had a strike on him, but wow, that goal was unbelievable. You know it's a good goal when you run straight over. And when the keeper just you a little fist bump as you go to pick the ball up, you just do say, like fair play, mate, what a strike that is. you doesn You know it's a good goal.
00:05:38
Global Sports Podcast Network
He obviously burst on the scene at Brighton, scoring a similar sort of goal against, was it Chelsea or Man City? I think he scored worldies against both. I can't remember which one I'm specifically thinking of, but. You know he had it in the locker and he's unleashed it in an absolute thunderbolt. And so he's a very serious player and he's one that in that category that it's going to be a shame to lose because don't think he'll be dropping down to the championship any chance of getting him back next season. and
00:06:03
Global Sports Podcast Network
But yeah, so it was a mixed up starting starting line-up really, which we've gone with four centre-halves across the back four again as we continue to be without any fit full-backs in and around the squad.

Line-up Experiments and Injury Impacts

00:06:14
Global Sports Podcast Network
Well, Twan Zabie was back well enough to we come on the bench to then come on. So probably see him back in there for... Is it Brentford? Yeah, it's Brentford next week, isn't it? the Yeah, but four centre-halves across the thing again. Morsi and Taylor midfield from the start.
00:06:31
Global Sports Podcast Network
In there, we'll say Phillips and Coaste both having their own struggles of injuries over the last couple of weeks, not really being 100% fully fit. Nice for Taylor to get a damon. First start a long time for Chaplin as well, which was not really just really nice to see because these sort of players, Chaplin Taylor, they're sort players that you think are going to get considerably more minutes next year, whether they're being down in the Championship and say some of the players who are going to move on as well as Case and Point and CISO.
00:06:58
Global Sports Podcast Network
know they played together with this today with CISO coming in from the left instead of being and but in being the one in the middle something there, but Chaplin, you think we'll a bigger role to play next year. Same with Taylor. People like that. It's good to see them getting some minutes now because that's what we can do in the in saying these games we have left with the three more um after this one as well. is You can try things out, test players out, start to figure out what the plans for the summer really. that There'll be some decisions that already been made behind the scenes on players to target or players to move on but
00:07:32
Global Sports Podcast Network
these three games give a bit of an opportunity to experiment, give some people some more chances. I'm thinking the likes of Jack Clark who came off a bench who, to the last couple of games before this, has been, due to us getting red cards, he's been, been the one who's been forced to be taken off in the first half.
00:07:47
Global Sports Podcast Network
So Chaplin, Taylor, people like that, there's, these players that you think will, when, well, what the the way the squad shapes up the championship next it next year, will have considerably more minutes. There's this opportunity to go and give them a chance and,
00:08:01
Global Sports Podcast Network
experiment with a few things. Like I said, we haven't seen Taylor back in the midfield very often. When he has come on, he's fairly often been, he's always been slightly further forward. I think he's better further forward overall than he is as one of the two.
00:08:15
Global Sports Podcast Network
what and if he's going to be in there, you probably need someone with more legs than Morsi, as good as he is. that To partner Taylor, you'd want someone who's a bit, that sounds harsh, but a bit younger and a bit fitter. But it sounds harsh, but say as good as Morsi is as a player, but so People like that. It's nice to see things get... I'd like to see a few of those so in that category. I'd say Hurst has had his few games from the start and he smashed them out the park and he was brilliant again when he came off a bench today. just He's really hit and fawn.
00:08:44
Global Sports Podcast Network
was going to say at the right time, I suppose it's not at the right time because the right time would have been a couple months ago to try and steer us away from the relegation fight. But he's certainly setting himself up to having a good year next year because I'm still not sure...
00:08:58
Global Sports Podcast Network
A striker will need to be signed, don't get me wrong. We can't go in with two strikers next year when De Laap inevitably leaves, but it'll be Alhamadi coming back and then Hurst. We can't have two strikers. We need to have at least three options there. So I think one will come in, but I wonder if there's the mindset has now sort of moved to a backup option with Hurst being the number one. And I wouldn't be against that because so some of the performances he's putting in against some top defenders in the last few weeks...
00:09:27
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think that Arsenal game particularly when he barely had a sniff but still managed to be at the heart of everything and we did venture forward here and there. Some well-taken goals in recent weeks as well. that It gives me a lot of hope for next season. We know how good he was last time in a championship before his injury and I think he'll kick on so another good shift even in 20 minutes or whatever he got off the bench today. that so People like him the ones I'd like to be see see get some more minutes over these last three games and sort of set us up well.
00:09:57
Global Sports Podcast Network
for next year. And i said he took his goal very well, I thought today. And I'll go into the goals shortly, but I'll have a quick break now as we hear from one of our sponsors.

Analyzing Ipswich's Resilience and Goals

00:10:45
Global Sports Podcast Network
and Welcome back to the second part of today's Max Reaction Monday here on the Daily Ipswich. Looking back at Towne's final ever trip to Goodison Park, where we came from behind to walk away with a 2-0 draw.
00:10:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
Let's run through the goals then. and And fairly similar the pairs of goals. Each team scoring a header for one of them from across and a worldy strike from outside the box for the other one.
00:11:10
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think ours was slightly better on both counts on on that front, i would say, in the terms of the quality. But but obviously, there's loads of positives to take from the game. Like say, we very rarely have come from behind to get anything from a game this season. Like I say, it's the east the only time all season we've let two in.
00:11:25
Global Sports Podcast Network
and We've been two goals down, I mean, and gone on to get something from the game. So there's lots to take from it. But it's still the same old concern and signs in there again The Everton goals are fairly, from our point of view, I'm sure Kieran McKenna will look at it the same way I have when I watch and just think it's such poor defending from our side of things. I mean, the Everton first goal, how much time, i think it's Alcaraz who whipped the ball, how much time does he get to cross? like The first time they try and cross, 1-0 shade as well, he gets himself across and they just roll it back to him. and he must be He must be there picking his spot for that two or three seconds, nobody getting anywhere near
00:12:05
Global Sports Podcast Network
Closing him down, putting him under pressure, getting in position to make a block. They let him, they back away, back away, let him pick his spot and he puts it on a plate and Beto has this. he's so He's a strange one, Beto, because he he always looked fairly hopeless in all honesty under Sean Dyche.
00:12:25
Global Sports Podcast Network
With David Moyes coming and he suddenly just... It's all click for him he's starting to look like a really intelligent striker. It's a great run from him getting between two defenders, working himself a bit of space and a good header. But from a defensive point of view, how Alcaraz gets that much time on the ball just go and pick his spot and first send the ball into the box. You're just asking for trouble when you let him do that. though so The way he just he stopped it, he sort of received the ball...
00:12:55
Global Sports Podcast Network
He changed the angle slightly. He paused for a second to look up, see what was there, and then got the cross off. In that time, somebody could have at least gone and halved their distance between him and the ball and might gotten themselves in a position where they could get a block in, if nothing else, even if they can't get all the way in. and just a bit of pressure might have stopped him, might have forced him backwards instead of then letting him fire it in. It's just really poor. It's just the basics, really. It's it's amazing. i said I say this a couple of times, not even just my hips, which is amazing. and Premier League football, how often player ah the quality there is in the league and did just a fundamental defender and how often players just back away, back away and let people do what they want with the ball.
00:13:41
Global Sports Podcast Network
I don't understand it. Obviously, I'm nowhere near Premier League level footballer. So they obviously they know the game better than I do through experience. But for me, i can't get my head around that. And then It was exactly the same thing the second goal, apart from this time it wasn't out wide to stop a cross coming in.
00:13:58
Global Sports Podcast Network
McNeil, who he's gone a while without a goal, so maybe low on confidence, but you've seen he's got a very good catalogue. Like and see so for our case. ah ah as ah ah He's got a very good catalogue of goals. He has a very powerful strike on that left foot of his.
00:14:15
Global Sports Podcast Network
And know his right foot as well, apparently, for this one. but But he's got a good strike on him.
00:14:21
Global Sports Podcast Network
And you again, it's just backing away. I suppose there's the element there, obviously, you know you've got a good goalkeeper behind you who you could back to make a save. and it's just the power and the fact that it comes through a crowd of bodies in the end while it's gone in. But again, you back away, you back away, you're almost saying go and then hit one.
00:14:38
Global Sports Podcast Network
And then you're surprised when you and he smashes it in the back of the net, like in the way he did. It's just sort of schoolboy stuff, really. But like i say, that It's something I never understand, the constant backing away, backing away. Especially when you know somebody has got a strike in the locker, like Dwight McNeil does. and At that point, I thought, well, that's another one of those days. has but Almost like the first time around against Everton was that we've not turned up. We're just, based on the last couple of games...
00:15:11
Global Sports Podcast Network
I just thought, oh, here we go. i not I'm not sure Everton, having not had much qualities at Newcastle and Arsenal, to really pile it on and just stroll about and see the game through. But two goals down, he's almost given up. That's not something we do.
00:15:24
Global Sports Podcast Network
i haven't done it all year. Two nil down is like a give up point. A one nil, you never know, we might be able to to fight our way back into it. We don't come from behind very often, that but when you just need one goal, there's always a chance. But two nil, I've already gone, oh, I've discarded the game in my head. I just thought, oh, we go, another.
00:15:41
Global Sports Podcast Network
Another disappointment in performance or lose on the road. And then, say, ah the Paraguayan magician playing out on the left on this occasion just decided to take the game with a scruff of the neck. He had one.
00:15:54
Global Sports Podcast Network
say you scored a worldie a goal, which I'll get to in a second. But even before that, he had an amazing little run. He came in from the left. He skinned two or three and he just thought was going to slot it in that far corner. He opted for the near post instead and just dragged it wide.
00:16:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
I thought he was just going to open his body up and just whip it with a bit of pace, far side. But he tries to dupe Jordan Pickford and cut it back across him. And to be fair to him, Pickford fell for it. He just ended up missing the target.
00:16:22
Global Sports Podcast Network
It was hard to say he should have scored, but the position he worked for himself and say the ability he had on the ball to open up the bit space was fantastic. And thought he was going to score. I really did, but wasn't to be on that occasion. But didn't get his head down. And again, from the opposite side of things, I can say about us...
00:16:42
Global Sports Podcast Network
backing away. Someone like Dwight McNeil, you know, he's got a strike on him and getting punished for it. Everton done the exact same thing that he rode the initial challenge and there's two of them just standing them there, just go like backing away, backing away. I mean, admittedly, he's fairly far out and keep it the quality picture, you probably back him, but they back away. They almost let him go go and then have a shot. He does. And it's absolutely brilliant. the The pace on it, the power on it, the The dip on it as well to get it back down in off the crossbar. It's an absolutely fantastic strike.
00:17:15
Global Sports Podcast Network
I'd say nailed on. I can't think of anything off the top of my head unless I'm missing something obvious. But say nailed on to nab the goal season award for Ipswich with a late contender there shortly before the end of the season.
00:17:27
Global Sports Podcast Network
The best goal, I would say, that we've scored all year. Absolute thunderbolt. And like said, he went over to pick the ball up so we could go again, go quickly back to the halfway line. try and go for an equaliser straight away. And so as he's gone over to get the ball, Pickford's just extended his arm out and just sort of give him a little handshake and go, fair play, mate.
00:17:46
Global Sports Podcast Network
The keepers know when they're well and truly beaten and there was nothing they could have done about it. So keepers will be incredibly harsh on the themselves. It'll be one that the average, ah ah you and I will look at and say, good strike. And I'll be thinking, oh, if I'd done this differently, done that. So I could have been half a step to my left, whatever.
00:18:03
Global Sports Podcast Network
I could have saved that. I could have done better. But... what they know when they're well and truly beaten and that's what that strike was absolutely sensational and they just before half time as well a couple of minutes before and then with a better team in the second half I thought were fairly comfortably I don't I think Everton just sort of almost a bit shell-shocked that I say that Ipswich won't come too much against Ipswich they won't come back from that point they're not very good at coming back from behind crowd behind us as well last ever Saturday three o'clock at Goodison that
00:18:36
Global Sports Podcast Network
just seemed a bit complacent Everton. So it's almost felt like at 2-0 they'd won the game, which is honestly what I thought as well. We battled back well. like i said, i've I've already spoken in part one about how good George Hurst has been the last few weeks and how much confidence he's instilled in me for his role next season and his role for the last three games as well. But from the start, in this case, off the bench and lovely little cross hung up to the back post. I think it took a bit of a nick on the way, just for extra bit of height. But bull He just bullies his man. He gets up high, nods home. It's well-taken goal again from Hurst and they thoroughly deserve for the way he's played in the last few games. So as an attacking performance of the two games in a row, which has been incredibly frustrating to watch, or he's just been comfortably beaten and struggled to make anything, that he threw himself as one around as well as he could have done when he's been on the pitch in those two games. And i feel like that's a goal he's deserved for the shift he's had to fight against Arsenal and Newcastle.
00:19:36
Global Sports Podcast Network
in there and like say he took it very well he's on hitting a bit of a vein of form to end the season which hopefully he can carry on into the start next year because in my head he'd be the number one uh in the stra first number one choice up front next year so there's still a whole transfer window in there before we know if that's the truth or not how it plays out but so a very good cross as well can't remember who whipped it in now I've escaped my memory but a good cross and I say I Slightly all nick off a knee or something on its way through. It just looped up in the air, put a bit extra height on it and allowed Hurst to just rise higher. So you say this got all over his man, didn't give him a chance at winning the header.
00:20:13
Global Sports Podcast Network
Flicked in. Fantastic goal. And we've come from two goals behind. Again, too little too late, I suppose, is the argument. It's the old classic, isn't it? We said it was Southampton in the last couple of weeks.
00:20:25
Global Sports Podcast Network
So it's falling apart. Now they've let Leicester end their horrendous home run. But... It's just that thing of once relegation is confirmed and the pressure's off, he just suddenly starts playing better. ah that we've had two We've effectively rolled over the last two games that have confirmed relegation at that point.

Impact of Late Transfers on Ipswich's Season

00:20:46
Global Sports Podcast Network
And yeah as soon as we're now down, nothing to play for really, we're going to put a good shift in, come back from two goals down to earn a solid point away from home against a decent side, going to say.
00:20:58
Global Sports Podcast Network
When we lost to Everton Portman Road, and we were fuming about it because we thought how poor they were. that ah ah They were at that point in the season and that was a real opportunity. but So they're certainly not that anymore. Their form's tailed off last month or so, don't get me wrong, but since Moyes has come in, they've been a very good side. and say yeah The point since Moyes has come in, there won't be too many teams that picked up more on that side the table. So it's a very solid point.
00:21:21
Global Sports Podcast Network
Let's say, ultimately, does it mean anything when we're already relegated? Probably not, but this So you're looking for memories and just little bits of confidence to take yourself into next season. So the ability to fight back and the quality of goal we scored has certainly given me that.
00:21:38
Global Sports Podcast Network
We have another break now. We're going to hear from another one of our sponsors and then I'll be back for the final part of today's show.
00:22:08
Global Sports Podcast Network
Welcome back to the final part of today's show.
00:22:12
Global Sports Podcast Network
And then also let's have a look at all the reaction following in the game. Obviously, there was ah ah a fair few talking points it in and around in there. And obviously, there's a lot of talk about Julio and Ciso in there.
00:22:25
Global Sports Podcast Network
I think Kieran McKenna's quote was something like, we wish we signed him earlier, something like that. i mean, you said the same about Alex Palmer, actually, over the last his performances since he came in in January, I think. we we can all look back on the benefit of hindsight, can't we?
00:22:39
Global Sports Podcast Network
Where things have gone gone right, where things have gone wrong. But yeah, I don't know. But say the the January transfer, are some of the players who've come in there have been very good. It was just too late. Like some of these additions that things that could we have done better in the summer. Yeah. But like I say, it's all the benefit of hindsight, isn't it?
00:22:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
And that's what we have. But he's been, he's been fantastic and see so. And so he rightly getting a, getting a lot of praise from the manager for that performance. is say it's like He just looks like the one when we're not playing well that can make something happen. 2-0 down in 35 minutes, something like that. And then, they think, yes, 35th minute we go 2-0 down. And by 41st minute, he scored a whirl he gets back in it. And in that six-minute gap in between, he's he's worked himself a chance out of nowhere and nearly scored as well. like He just took the game, lot of scruff for the neck.
00:23:35
Global Sports Podcast Network
and almost made it happen himself to get us back in it. And then we turned up in the second half and done a number on him and got the equaliser we deserved in the end. But yeah, a so I think it's, again, hindsight, look, you never know what's going to happen, but him getting injured as well, because I thought before he got injured, he was looking very sharp as well and looked like he was going to be a really good addition.
00:23:59
Global Sports Podcast Network
And then he they missed a fair few games. with that injury he got. At the time we basically had but two or three big injuries at the same time, didn't we? At the same time Hutchinson of people like that are out that the there's all these things you have to deal with at the end of the day. But I do think that had we had him for, if he'd come in earlier in the year or even January, if we got it done early in the window,
00:24:24

than we did. And then he didn't get that injury. He had a solid half-season to go and have a run. sort of player he is, I think his numbers would be better than what they are now because they're fairly impressive for the amount of games he's played already in a team like we are who don't score many goals and don't look great as an attacking threat the majority of the time. but So i think I think I can agree with Kieran McKenna's statement of wish we've had him for longer because he's a serious player and he can just... say this game, he basically was...

He might as well have done it all on his own, that 10 minutes after between 2-0 down and half-time. It was a really good performance from him. like I said, I can't see... He's in that category, really, isn't he, with Cajuste.

They say don't fall in love with a loan player, don't they Because they've both been fantastic. and And the chances of us getting either back on loan again or on a permanent deal when down the Championship next year is incredibly low, which is frustrating, really, because I'd love to see him back next season for a full year.

Especially if he keeps going the way he is in the chat. If he goes like this in the Premier League, most of what he'd be like in the Championship. But ah don't think that's going to happen,

Hope for the Future: Jack Clark's Improvement

sadly. that It's a shame to see, really.

While we're talking about players who thought played really well, or so it's about Hurst coming off the bench as well. Jack Clark, again. Like I go say, someone who's struggled this year. Definitely, especially in the first half of the season, he's sort of like, he's put a lot of good shifts in over the last couple of months. And then, say, as two games in a row through reasons completely outside of his own fo or control, has been hooked in the first half against Arsenal and Newcastle. So effectively, he's the one having to take the hit for a teammate's mistake by getting with the red cards we've received in those games. But he's a drop back down to the bench in place of Chaplin.

today's game but he was really he was I thought he done it had a really good shift when he comes off when he comes off the bench I think again he's one that i've always said that he's in the category of he could do with dropping back down for a year maybe he's come up to a bit too early for him but I think he'll be a really really good player for us next year I think he'll think he'll jump back down to the championship but very high level and hopefully that'll give him the confidence to go and kick on and sort of try and fire us up the table and hopefully we can come back at the first attempt. But he's certainly been probably the, say there's an argument that he's the most imp improved player in the second half of the season from where they were at the first half of the season, Clark. He rarely seems to have a bad game in recent weeks.

I'd say the last month or so, he seems every time he's played, whether it's from the bench or from the start, he seems to put a really good shift in, which is promising to see. Like I say, we're almost sort of we're looking at the individuals now, aren't we, with relegation confirmed, but say people like Hurst who have become the standout in recent weeks. So we're looking at these players who are sort of what they got about them, how they're going to kick on next year. ultimately We're trying to find out, we're already trying to work out what our best XI is for next season.
00:27:34
Global Sports Podcast Network
Is this something we struggle with this year? I still don't know if we really know why our best XI is this year, but something we sort out next year. But say Clark, another one is really impressed and So it's not hitting the form at the right time, like said earlier, because the right time would have been in enough time to wade away the threat of relegation, not after we were basically already confirmed and firm down. But certainly there's some positives to take. he if he's going to end the season on a high, then it means he'll come back for pre-season full of confidence and hopefully the way it goes. But he's some good character overall from all the teams. say

Some big players for that. And don't know... Even just the fact we've come back, something we haven't done all year, that fight's not been there when we've gone behind very often this season. So just seeing that bit in there, again, it's the frustration of being too little too late. But there's certainly a lot for the first time in long in what feels like, I'll say probably a month at least, feels like a lot maybe even longer than that on one of these Monday reaction episodes.

Conclusion and Future Outlook

We've just sat down, we can sit down and just go through positives. It's not just trying to pick out the odd thing here and there in between moaning about this and moaning about that. It's finally the first time in a while we've actually been able to sit and go, right, this this was really good, this was really good.

Great character shown, we've got got good results. its It's a nice change from the way things have been recently. but The only shame was I've had to sit here and do it on my own. But don't worry, we'll we'll get the rest of the boys back on later this week as we continue our normal normal sort of cycle for the last three games of the season. Obviously, Brentford, Leicester and West Ham.

This week, we'll say that further reaction to this game and then we look ahead to Brentford next weekend as the Premier League season draws to a close. So thank you frank thank you to...
