Chris: God... Welcome back to the Mythos Draft Podcast. I'm Chris.

Autumnalrage: And I'm a bemused Ron.

Chris: God. Why? It worked last time.

Autumnalrage: It's worked like last two times.

Chris: Oh. Ahhhh... Really all ah battened down in the Ignore Easter, we're kidding.

Autumnalrage: Man, I'm really annoyed. My wife and I were like, oh, let's... Book a camping trip. For this weekend.

Chris: m

Autumnalrage: So we're going to the beach as we can. And. Look, weather happens.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: It is what it is. But the campground... It has a no cancellation process. process

Chris: Really?

Autumnalrage: they will not They will not cancel.

Chris: huh

Autumnalrage: And it's like. I understand you guys are... money -grubbing

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: corporation You're a corporation with no soul. But if I get there and your campground's flooded out, I'm gonna be pretty pissed off.

Chris: yeah I mean, even the... the ocean's calling. is refunding their people.

Autumnalrage: They need to that place that That show is cursed.

Chris: Well, I... I'm sorry. But you're... You're having an event. At the tail end of hurricane season,

Autumnalrage: In. The...

Chris: on a barrier island.

Autumnalrage: in the mid -atlantic.

Chris: on Yeah, on a beach that has to be replenished every few days because it washes away.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: None of this is adding up to a Good idea.

Autumnalrage: No.

Chris: And you would think. They'd be like, oh, well, we'll... If we have to drop back and punt, we'll go to the Ocean City Convention Center, but I'm sure there's something else already going there, you know, like... I don't know Sounds of the Bee Gees.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: It... It's a shame. because i don't I don't know. I don't give a crap what happens in Ocean City, but you know. It's a cool idea.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know. I like it. Pretty good artists booked for that.

Chris: Oh.

Autumnalrage: thing but it's

Chris: Yeah. Yeah, they do.

Autumnalrage: It gets bad. weather every year every year

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: So...

Chris: Let's see. darling wife she was like oh let's see you know there's a bunch of food network celebrities that are going to be there we should you know i was like nope

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I'm not paying the prices they're paying. Like... Yeah.

Chris: Yeah. but Yeah, because you know they're going to have... food trucks and stuff well i talked to people that went last year and they're like yeah you know Yeah. Bye. All right. can of water for like $12.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, and like...

Chris: people People are just like digging holes in the sand to pee.

Autumnalrage: It to me... It's a totally uncomfortable environment. like there's nowhere to sit Zero. youve you You feel obligated to stay in there the whole time because you've paid.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: a ridiculous amount of money.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: you know and

Chris: And the sand, it gets everywhere.

Autumnalrage: It's funny. Right. It gets everywhere. And all the rednecks are oh like only only care about next week anyways because they want the country calling. in which...

Chris: My daughter's going to one of those days.

Autumnalrage: Oh yeah.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I mean it's fine. When you're that young, that's fine. I mean.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: When we are in our... 20s we could stay in there forever

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: you know. The beats are... But going on. I'm sitting on the beat for... eight plus hours

Chris: oh no no no you can pay for the super duper vip and there's like couches for you

Autumnalrage: oh That's fun

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: No, thanks

Chris: Yeah. Yeah. Because who sat on that couch before you?

Autumnalrage: rule of that too and I'm sure it's a as people get drunker and drunker it's a fight and yeah it's not worth it

Chris: Yeah. Oh yeah, and I'm sure the couch is dry.

Autumnalrage: oh

Chris: Sigh.

Autumnalrage: End.

Chris: Not sticky.

Autumnalrage: No offense. to anybody like if that's your thing it's your thing

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: There's no band I like that much to pay that kind of money.

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: It's just not happening.

Chris: Yeah. yeah

Autumnalrage: like Firefly I thought was a cooler idea because they like People drove their campers there and then they had.

Chris: <unk>

Autumnalrage: festival and you had a camper to go back to.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: So you need break, you go back to your camper. That's a cool idea.

Chris: Hmm?

Autumnalrage: This is on the beach on the inlet and there's nowhere to go.

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: You can't leave the little footprint because you're stuck there.

Chris: Yep.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: Not my thing.

Chris: yeah yeah And again, a barrier island.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: Its whole job is to guard the mainland from the ocean.

Autumnalrage: Mm hmm. Yeah. And there's that venue. It's just over the line in Indian River. It's apparently like super nice.

Autumnalrage: And they get pretty big but acts too, and it's the same thing. like

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: It's still outside. in

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: The fall, like.

Chris: Yeah. Okay, you are rolling the dice.

Autumnalrage: It rains. I don't want to say 50 % of the time. but 30 percent of the time

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: in the fall.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know. There's very few weekends I can think of in September where you're like... It's gonna be nice and sunny the whole weekend

Chris: ah Yeah. Yeah, and the thing is, you have to buy these tickets in a year out. So it's like. Yep. oh let's just Hope and pray.

Autumnalrage: Well, that's my wife and I with this camping trip. It's like, you have to buy these tickets. like You had to buy the spot because they sell out. You know, months ahead, it's like, ah.

Chris: ah

Autumnalrage: Man. It sucks, but yeah.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: All right. I like sleeping in the camper in the rain.

Chris: Yeah, oh, yeah, that's gotta be

Autumnalrage: You'll be fine. know

Chris: relaxing.

Autumnalrage: It's nice relaxing. As long as we don't get flooded out and washed away into the bay.

Chris: yeah a

Autumnalrage: We'll be right back.

Chris: I'm sure it's nice high ground.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, yeah, yeah. yeah

Chris: Yeah, a good three inches above sea level.

Autumnalrage: That's what it is. Slessus County is known for its high ground.

Chris: Well, I mean

Autumnalrage: The dump in Salisbury is the highest point on the shore, so...

Chris: Yeah, that's what I was going to say.

Chris: Yeah, I think we got talking about that the other day. where like If there really was a flood, you know where do you go? And somebody's like, well, you got to go to the top of the landfill. I was like. ah I'll figure it out something else.

Chris: No.

Autumnalrage: um

Chris: No.

Autumnalrage: Well, have you ever have you ever seen those terrifying maps of like The sea level rises and what it does too. Delmarva Peninsula.

Chris: Oh yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Thank you. They're whole. I'm in trouble up here and we're way higher than you guys

Chris: Hmm. Mm -hmm.

Autumnalrage: Not way are, but it's like.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: There's a definite elevation change and you guys are just underwater.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I said, the one.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Chinkatigger on my shift. I said, What are you gonna do when the island's underwater? I'll just drive my pickup truck around.

Chris: there's No doubt.

Autumnalrage: But you're...

Chris: Oh my god.

Autumnalrage: Your house foundation's gone, bud

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: Yeah. Well, that's it's it's a lucky thing he got to work because the causeway was shut down.

Autumnalrage: Huh. Yeah.

Chris: I mean, what? Yeah. Ah.

Autumnalrage: That causeway.

Chris: and they're like oh yeah it's only shut down for two hours it's like it doesn't matter you swamp billies are locked onto your island because you Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: No. Nature says stay.

Autumnalrage: I don't... There's a pretty big neighborhood. That's across. the railroad tracks and in newark and has a one entrance n and one just out and i'm like i couldn't even live there because it would give me anxiety of not being able to get out of my neighborhood

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: you know These people live on an island with a... Causeway. They closed it down because I goose farted. and it flooded.

Chris: Yeah. Because it's like... Well, we could build a bridge. Or...

Autumnalrage: working.

Chris: Let's just build a roadway even with the swamp.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. It's bonkers.

Chris: Yeah, because I don't care what you say. It's a swamp

Autumnalrage: Yeah yeah yeah It's marshes all the way up and around.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: And I've been a bit tink -tink. It's a swamp boulder on the highland.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: You know? It's like this one little strip of beach that nobody goes to and marsh.

Chris: Yeah.

Chris: Yep.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: I bet you've got to go and look at it. the stupid horses.

Autumnalrage: um i was there I've been there twice. I didn't see a single horse while I was there The horses don't live on the island, right?

Chris: No! They...

Autumnalrage: Okay.

Chris: They live up on Assateague.

Autumnalrage: and They live on Estique.

Chris: And then the saltwater cowboys have to drive them across.

Autumnalrage: Why do they have to do that?

Chris: To make money.

Autumnalrage: Hmm. But who owns the horses?

Chris: see They've tried to explain this to me. I don't understand. It's like you buy the rights to it, but you don't actually own the horse. But these people are spending, I mean. tens of thousands of dollars.

Autumnalrage: And then you do what with it?

Chris: yeah So I was like, oh, do you get to eat it? And they're like, no. Why would you do that? I'm like, well, if you're spending that much money, you better do something with it.

Autumnalrage: Great. like Because the horse goes back to the island, right?

Chris: Hmm. Hmm.

Autumnalrage: When they're done with it, they're like, all right. want

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Right back down

Chris: And evidently, I found out every like five years they bring in. A herd. of stallions from like georgia because the Dot. ponies on the islands get so inbred that the animals are you know having issues

Autumnalrage: oh

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: That's a fun fact.

Chris: Yeah!

Autumnalrage: Yeah, I'm not

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Not so aware of this whole

Chris: Thank you. You can bid on Blinky.

Autumnalrage: horse bending.

Chris: He's got three eyes.

Autumnalrage: but yeah again like they tried to explain to me and i still don't understand it because

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: They don't... Own the horses.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: The horses are owned by the... government I think.

Chris: Yeah. Something.

Autumnalrage: Right? They're like federally protected animals.

Chris: I, I. i do Are they?

Autumnalrage: I think so.

Chris: they're just owned by the fire company

Autumnalrage: And that's for the signs all the time because you tourists. Keep hitting them. I don't know how you hit a horse.

Chris: because it's because people are always in a hurry no matter what they're doing they're in a hurry and not paying attention to anybody around them but themselves.

Autumnalrage: that's fair but

Chris: ah

Autumnalrage: fairly large animal to just be like I didn't see that coming.

Chris: ah Well, I guess it's the same people that hit like Moose.

Autumnalrage: Actually, whatever.

Autumnalrage: Wow. That's fair. Or the guy that hit the bear on Route 1.

Chris: But. Yeah. what

Autumnalrage: Oh, you don't remember that? We had a bear.

Chris: no

Autumnalrage: we had we had a bear But. came down the Delaware Valley. And it was in Newark. We called it the Della Bear.

Chris: just on vacation was it interviewing for a job

Autumnalrage: I would. Nobody really know it was in my neighborhood because there's a park in my neighborhood And they had it tagged. in my neighborhood.

Chris: huh

Autumnalrage: And then one. Like where I was like, well, catch the, bear like we were. Like, everybody's like... Catch the bear and get him out of here. Not hurt him.

Chris: touch the bear. yeah

Autumnalrage: Well, then, Rick. drop the ball. the bear got a route one at two o 'clock in the morning and got hit Could you imagine?

Chris: Shit it. Should have been standing there.

Autumnalrage: But could you imagine? You're driving on Route 1 at 2 in the morning.

Chris: Oh yeah, doing an easy 75.

Autumnalrage: Easily doing 75 miles an hour And you hit a large black object and you're like. I think I just hit a bear. And you call the police and say, I just hit a bear on Route 1.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I'm turning myself in for... I think I'm high on shrooms. I don't...

Chris: Yeah, because you know the the kind of the response is... But you said you're outside of Bayer Delaware?

Autumnalrage: Right, exactly. yeah No, no, no.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I hit a bear. What?

Chris: B -E -A -R not B -A -E -R.

Autumnalrage: In Delaware?

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: ah

Autumnalrage: Yeah. It's weird, but yeah, we had a bear. Little Della bear and then my neighbor had a sign that had this big stuffed animal and it said rest in peace, but Della bear

Chris: ah

Chris: Della bear.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: ah Ah. yeah

Autumnalrage: We get bears. Every once in a while. We've had cougars quite a few times.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: your sightings up here.

Chris: Yeah, and potentially rabid bats.

Autumnalrage: And potentially, rabbit well, not they're not potentially, there have been rabbit bats.

Chris: ah Yeah.

Autumnalrage: That's why I had to get shut 48 times. Oh my god.

Chris: ah How many needles do you think he'll let you do? oh Let's find out.

Autumnalrage: It was a lot. Nine. Who's that? but let me do nothing I let him do nine.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: And my wife says, oh, I only got two.

Chris: um

Autumnalrage: What the?

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: That was a vent.

Chris: yeah Yeah. Yeah. So.

Autumnalrage: thats

Chris: Oh. That's right, yeah. The other day we were on a walk around the neighborhood. and I had the little one. Sarah has the larger dog. We're just walking around and we get... to the side of the development that's near a cornfield.

Chris: And the little one just starts doing that little oof. oof It's like, what are you doing? And then she stares at the cornfield and every hair on the back of her neck stands up.

Autumnalrage: oh

Chris: And I'm looking and it's daylight out. Thank goodness. And I'm like, ah okay. I was like, I just. heard that. rustling or whatever well then the larger our larger dog looks And she starts to get all puffed up. I was like...

Chris: Time to go! Time to go!

Autumnalrage: so

Chris: Time to go!

Autumnalrage: The children are coming.

Chris: I don't know what... I don't know what's in this cornfield. Goodness.

Autumnalrage: Is that Ezekiel?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: What's the name of the children of the corn?

Chris: Something.

Autumnalrage: Looks like Ezekiel coming in for you.

Chris: gosh Luckily, there's like eight houses between the cornfield and me.

Autumnalrage: There used to be like none.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah. yeah Yeah. But yeah, I was like seriously contemplating like grabbing both dogs and running.

Chris: No.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: ah it depends it depends on the person

Autumnalrage: I would say like... 85 % of the time, it doesn't matter. I think I can take most humans out. Without even breaking a sweat.

Autumnalrage: They're all pretty dumb

Chris: Gorilla.

Autumnalrage: Really pretty scary

Chris: Mm -hmm

Autumnalrage: Lions are pretty scary because I've seen videos where... Hunters got to hunt them. and

Chris: Poof.

Autumnalrage: wing them, and then the line's on them.

Chris: Yeah, yeah, that's it. Ah.

Autumnalrage: Lions are pretty lazy right up until you shoot them in the ass.

Chris: That's like the the the... giant hogs that people hunt.

Autumnalrage: Oh yeah.

Autumnalrage: They're pretty nasty too.

Chris: Yeah. yeah

Autumnalrage: and I'm not against hunting. because There are animals. for example wild boar that are invasive species that are destroying

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: You know. that need to be destroyed, they need to be culled.

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: Deer need to be called they're freaking rats antlers.

Autumnalrage: it needs to be done with care and real responsibility.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: know I don't care if you shoot your buddy who's hung with you because he's... He's out there doing the same thing. You guys are getting... And. Every idiot I work with is like, I'm a hunter. I'll get out there and get drunk and get hunting. It's like... well

Chris: Yeah, that makes sense.

Autumnalrage: Firearms and alcohol. Hmm. Seems like a big I can't drive a boat and get drunk, but I can shoot rifles Hmm.

Chris: huh Well, the good thing is some of those idiots don't even go with a loaded gun. So.

Autumnalrage: That's... That's true, too. So... Some people have no... Like... Even playing to shoot anything. They're just out there to drunk boys, which

Chris: yeah ah

Autumnalrage: They're out there to get up at 4 o 'clock in the morning, stand in the cold, and get drunk. and get drunk

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I can't do all that for my house.

Chris: ah Yeah, I can think of a lot better things to do.

Autumnalrage: I mean, the one guy on C shift, he paid. supposedly fourteen thousand dollars to go on a hunting trip.

Chris: what

Autumnalrage: And. they haven't caught anything. Yeah.

Chris: Is he hunting Sasquatch?

Autumnalrage: elk apparently

Chris: Oh.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: ah You could just get the little elk around here. The little sick of deer.

Chris: that's what they I mean, they they were seriously, a little elk.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. Yeah. I've never seen one

Chris: yeah It looks like a puffed up goat

Autumnalrage: Yeah, i just but everybody always talks about them.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I've never seen them in the area.

Chris: Hmm.

Autumnalrage: See you, Musgrat. That's all Beaver wants.

Autumnalrage: I've never seen a sick of deer. I honestly don't see a lot of animals in the shore.

Chris: No. They're afraid.

Autumnalrage: It's weird. Yeah. i so My wife and I were talking about this. a place that's supposed to be like all about nature you don't see a lot of nature down there

Chris: ah

Autumnalrage: See you later. You know. white feathered rats aka chickens

Chris: And seagulls.

Autumnalrage: And seagulls. The old dumpster jack.

Chris: yeah speed There's a new smell at headquarters now.

Autumnalrage: Oh, that's... Fun.

Chris: Yeah, yeah. Yeah, somebody hit A humongous skunk.

Autumnalrage: Oh.

Chris: on Lake Street.

Autumnalrage: Nice.

Chris: Yes.

Autumnalrage: Oh, I think I smelled it last night, or yesterday, going up to take out the air light.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. Yeah, because we made the kind of.

Chris: two

Autumnalrage: you can never tell if it's weed or skunk and then meg was like Now that's skunk, I say.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: he Okay.

Chris: yes

Chris: ah Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You poor bastards are working in that area.

Chris: ah

Autumnalrage: It's very funny because I never come to work. I'm like, man. My station smells terrible. Unless the wind's blowing weirdly and the sewer backs up for some...

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: I don't know why that happens to station one, but. That's weird.

Chris: Well, be... Again. Whoever plumbed it probably, you know, it was just hopes and dreams.

Autumnalrage: yes Clearly. I'm still... I was telling the younglings at work yesterday about...

Autumnalrage: that's how we saw a tree behind the the station

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: We're full of spiders. And. i was like there were black widows in that tree and they're like no that's not true i'm like Yes there were. And there were. pretty large spiders that somehow got into the EMS cabinet.

Autumnalrage: I don't know how

Chris: Mm -hmm.

Chris: Mm hmm. Yeah. Yeah. o 'clock in the morning finally saw the stupid bit spider. Ah.

Autumnalrage: It's the worst prank I've ever done.

Chris: Well, allegedly this morning there was a mouse in admin.

Autumnalrage: oh

Chris: Yeah. I didn't see any mouse.

Autumnalrage: as you guys call the... you know the extra bougie exterminator

Chris: oh

Autumnalrage: Hmm.

Chris: The gentleman who said he saw a mouse I said Show me the mouse. Why can't? well there's no mouse

Autumnalrage: I mean... i would believe it there's been cockroaches in their building.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Whatever comes.

Chris: God, do you remember the old station? when the water with backup and the roaches would just Flood? Ugh, so - So gross.

Autumnalrage: There were a lot of gross things in the old station.

Chris: Ugh, yeah.

Autumnalrage: Pretty much.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: From top to bottom.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Of course. Yeah. I remember. When you know They're like, oh. the the Tides up, you gotta go out there and close the valve.

Chris: a yeah

Autumnalrage: is this a rookie Is this a rookie prank?

Chris: yeah Yeah. I was like, man, I can't believe I got a locker already.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: Oh.

Autumnalrage: okay

Chris: Good old bottom locker.

Autumnalrage: Good old bottom locker. Nobody want to lose.

Chris: Yeah. Why are the... First 10 inches of this, a different color. You'll find out.

Autumnalrage: m

Chris: Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. Hmm. It's still, though. i There should be an engine there.

Autumnalrage: Oh, I... 100%. There should be an engine and an A1 sitting in that building right now.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: That's all. The only problem with that building was we kept stuffing it full of crap it didn't need. We just kept it in engine house and been done with it.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: We've left it. Forever. Still being used today as a building.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Amen. We could... Back an engine into that building tomorrow.

Chris: Mm -hmm

Autumnalrage: Just, you know. give him a heads up before we do it because it's going to make a lot of noise

Chris: Yeah.

Chris: ah They're a lot quieter than they used to be.

Autumnalrage: Well, I meant more of the... The wall is breaking.

Chris: Oh, wow. so

Autumnalrage: And the best.

Chris: You do it on the right holiday. Nobody will know.

Autumnalrage: The bathrooms in that building are way nicer now, so I'm more - We're more than willing to go back there.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: just stop by one time what are you doing here i gotta use the bathroom

Autumnalrage: Well, when we did ah the folk festival and i was in the command post they were like you gotta to use that bathroom i was like oh okay and i went i was like what the hell

Chris: Yeah. We had three toilets on top of each other.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: floor -wise, that would rattle and shake.

Autumnalrage: to

Autumnalrage: Yeah, go on.

Chris: depending on who was above you.

Autumnalrage: the one toilet you put a quarter in and it shook you so much it was like a Roller coaster ride.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: And then if you were below that toilet, you just watch the pipe go.

Chris: Yeah. like Oh God, I hope it's somebody small.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. Yeah. And then I went in there and I was like. Wow. of this. You mean we got had a nice bathroom in here this whole time? Wow.

Chris: There's a guy with a The towel.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: Mints.

Autumnalrage: um And the worst part, what really makes me mad about that building. is it didn't require that much money to... replace we spent 20 plus million dollars on a building that's falling apart. And we could have. put a million dollars in the building and been still there today.

Chris: yeah Well the engine bay of the new building is fine.

Autumnalrage: Is it?

Chris: It is.

Autumnalrage: What is it?

Chris: yet no it is that's seriously the only place that has all the pylons so it's safe Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Because the training tower is leaning. Amen. There's a crack that runs from...

Chris: No, it's not leaning. It's the pa it's the pad that's leaning.

Autumnalrage: So. So the training tower is good. Everything else around it is leaning away from it.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah, seriously, though. The station and the training tower are the two most stable things there.

Autumnalrage: So we're saying is those parts will be up and everything else will just fall down.

Chris: Possibly.

Autumnalrage: Good. Where do the guys sleep?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Do they all sleep in the engine bay?

Chris: Yeah, yeah. yeah no They're coming to do testing on October 5th.

Autumnalrage: What testing they got to do? Walk down the hallway.

Chris: They're doing course core sampling.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. Look, this is not. I'm not digging anybody who works in the department now because it's not any of us' fault.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: But that was a bog.

Chris: Mm -hmm.

Autumnalrage: That we put a station in.

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: Amen. And it's not.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: you You could tell it's not going to last.

Chris: Yeah, when the engineer said. i can't believe they let anybody build something here. sick

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: It's before my time.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. decisions were made.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: People made money.

Chris: Tip. I was working downtown and they said, oh yeah, by the way, next month we're moving to a new station. I said,

Autumnalrage: I told the younglings again. we were reminiscing the other day, I said, A certain chief who I wanted to punch in the face more than any person in the world that day said, We got to paint. We're going to paint the doors on the old building.

Chris: Oh, Mike.

Autumnalrage: Because we're gone.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: said it's not our building anymore doesn't matter those are historic doors those doors have to be maintained We fucking out there painting the doors when we're in a building we're no longer in.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: And then what do they do? They rip the doors out of it.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: Ah. Bonkers.

Chris: Mm hmm. ah Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, what I mean when I went to Frederick County I said don't ever let them take away your downtown old school station.

Chris: yeah Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Rips the guts right out of your firehouse.

Chris: It does? It does. And think about it, every station we've had since then we've had issues.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. because they were built. Like crap.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: What's the... um What's the common denominator?

Chris: o

Autumnalrage: Hmm. Who did we allow? involved in building her it's a Remember my conversation about fire trucks and how every idiot... involved as it need to be involved. Maybe firefighters shouldn't be involved in building buildings.

Chris: Mm hmm. ah

Autumnalrage: Maybe we should look at engineers and say, what do you think? And they say, that's a cranberry bog. You don't build. Buildings and Bogs

Chris: Yeah. Well, it kills me that you see like in Firehouse Magazine. It's like, ooh, look at the newest design. I don't care what the firehouse looks like.

Autumnalrage: Bye.

Chris: Give me a couple engine bays, a good bunk room, a nice training area. I'm happy.

Autumnalrage: There's a reason I love station one more than any other building in that department

Chris: Yeah. yeah

Autumnalrage: And it's got its... Look, it was never built. the way it should have been.

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: you know. It's not where it's supposed to be. It's got a lot of flaws. But it's up. Engine Bay. with... But again, the problem, the same thing. We just keep jamming more and more shit into the building.

Chris: how Mm -hmm.

Autumnalrage: You know? Then we say, oh, the building doesn't work.

Chris: Hmm.

Autumnalrage: it's like but It was not designed for...

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: 2a once is a brush truck a boat and you know, of course it doesn't work

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: It's too much shit. Stop. Putting so much shit in the buildings. And... Make your your fourth building.

Chris: Mm -hmm

Autumnalrage: I remember David C saying, we'll never.

Chris: Hmm.

Autumnalrage: Fill station 16 up these will these drive -through bays will be drive -through forever I don't think that lasted a year.

Chris: No.

Autumnalrage: just Keep jamming shit in the buildings.

Chris: ah

Chris: ah

Autumnalrage: It's okay.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Two years. Two years end.

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: Five days.

Chris: Yeah, 30 days have September. Yeah, you're right.

Autumnalrage: What do you guys have for summer?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: and We're out. I'm out.

Chris: wow

Autumnalrage: I don't know about you, but I'll be home.

Chris: Yeah. yeah Yeah, I thought of that today.

Autumnalrage: and out

Chris: I just had to... say that stupid little rhyme in my head to remember that September had 30 days. Yep. For some of the things that I'm trusted with. But... Let's take. my job title out of it just the fact that paramedic firefighter

Autumnalrage: Sure.

Chris: I still to this day you know Rely on things like righty -tighty lefty Lucy

Autumnalrage: Christopher. I'm a 46 year old man. I've been a paramedic for 20 plus years. Um, I am a fire officer in charge of the safety and lives of...

Autumnalrage: for other individuals. I sometimes still have to hold up the L's to figure out which is my left hand.

Chris: Or like when I'm putting the leads on the patient, I go white on the right, smoke over fire.

Autumnalrage: Yep.

Autumnalrage: That's mostly the times I have to go with the Ls on my card.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Okay, this is the patient's left.

Chris: Yep.

Autumnalrage: it's

Chris: Yeah. Yeah. yep or you're like writing a report and it was on the patients Ooh, right.

Autumnalrage: And I...

Autumnalrage: that my my still to this day. If I have to write the word posticto, I have to look it up three times.

Chris: That's one thing that you don't have. Yeah, that was with the paper ones. Patient has emphysema. E, M, squiggle.

Autumnalrage: Squiggles go, go, go.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yep, yep. Yeah.

Chris: That patient's got pneumonia.

Autumnalrage: Well, I

Chris: shortness of breath.

Autumnalrage: some Some officers are like, ah. these kids their reports are terrible i'm like I want you to think back to 20 years ago when you were writing about a meme short form.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: What's your report? was At all legible. No.

Chris: picked up patient, took to hospital.

Autumnalrage: Perform CPR.

Chris: The best.

Autumnalrage: boom boom boom but bla bla but

Chris: I would say the best was a Cardiac Arrest. followed ACLS.

Autumnalrage: yep Patient still dead.

Chris: Super. Yep. Well, I mean... I kind of can't fault you. a Yeah. But yeah, I mean, it's just.

Chris: Yeah. Little things like that. All right. No.

Autumnalrage: yeah i mean

Chris: Because I was working on a... ah saw today. And I was you know looking at it. I was like, we oh, Lefty Lucy. Yep.

Autumnalrage: Again. 46 year old man, supposed to be in charge of things. Most days I don't feel like an adult.

Chris: Oh, no. No, no, no No. no

Autumnalrage: And I think most people look at me and go. That guy's probably pretty responsible.

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: From the outside, they're like, that guy's responsible.

Chris: Mm -hmm. Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: We were talking about something yesterday. I was like, I think sometimes I'm an intelligent person. And then I realize I'm a giant dumbass.

Chris: A giant lucky dumbass.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, that's fair. yeah

Chris: Yeah. God.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: with By the way, zero job skills. Zero.

Chris: No.

Autumnalrage: i

Chris: war.

Autumnalrage: my wife and i had the car so she's like well you know you're retired get a job i said Who's going to hire me?

Chris: but

Autumnalrage: To. To do what?

Chris: You could be... University of Delaware's Darren.

Autumnalrage: Uh, That is a very competitive position at the University of Delaware. That's a no joke position at the University of Delaware.

Chris: Oh really?

Autumnalrage: Yeah. Um, I could be that. But again... I have no job skills.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: What?

Chris: So you're a very good people person. You're a leader.

Autumnalrage: Uh huh. uh -huh

Chris: Yeah, you can do CPR.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. Yep. Yep.

Chris: Heh.

Autumnalrage: Yep.

Chris: Ahhhh. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Are you hiring someone in case your building might catch on fire? Because I'm pretty good there.

Chris: Yeah. ah

Autumnalrage: Maybe one day your brother catches fire.

Chris: ah

Autumnalrage: I'm ready to go

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. Because I don't want to ride an ambulance and I don't want to freaking ride a fire truck after this.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know. What else you got?

Chris: Well, you went to college. I mean. fall back on your history degree.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, can't do anything with that.

Chris: yeah

Chris: philosophize.

Autumnalrage: Stand -up philosopher.

Chris: Yep. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know. Wawa always needs a guy who works the register.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: For now, I guess.

Chris: Yeah, but I think I think it's also, though, weird. Our generation realizes. No. We. put our time in. our 25, 30 whatever years.

Autumnalrage: Sure.

Chris: We should.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. Yeah.

Chris: Yep.

Autumnalrage: We want to be.

Chris: That's it.

Autumnalrage: We want it to be done.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: No, I...

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I told my wife, like, I'm going to be done. I'm sure I'll pick up some part -time job.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Somewhere.

Chris: Again, daytime bartender at a brewery.

Autumnalrage: that's my That's my goal. Because I... I don't want stress. I don't want to be.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: working nights and weekends. and Yeah.

Chris: yeah Pick a tap, one through eight. Or could I try the all time?

Autumnalrage: and know Yep.

Chris: No, numbers, one through eight.

Autumnalrage: the I'll get the sign. You pull me the one you want. What's this one like? It's like a number one.

Chris: Yep. My girlfriend was really hoping to get a strawberry daiquiri. guess i got to number five

Autumnalrage: yeah yeah yeah oh Can I get cut cut fruit with that? No, sir. We got this bag of pretzels.

Chris: so

Autumnalrage: That's it.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Let's take a look for you.

Chris: Yeah. yeah They have salt.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: ah Yeah. Well, topic one.

Autumnalrage: Well... Right here. Get into the rage.

Chris: Oh yes.

Autumnalrage: I have to be careful how I say this.

Chris: ah This means it's a good one.

Autumnalrage: What? but It's not that good. it's You and I. I think. I was the weirdly thinking about what I would identify myself as. I identify as a gamer.

Autumnalrage: Right?

Chris: Yeah. yeah

Autumnalrage: You know, I've been playing video games most of my life at this point. probably

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Way more than most of them.

Chris: m

Autumnalrage: And. It's so... it's infuriating right now. to be a fan of something like gaming.

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: And... To just watch these companies. Shit. all over the things you love.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I'm sure you maybe saw the news that set me off this week. But... Halo is now moving to Activision.

Chris: Activision. Yes! isn't that great

Autumnalrage: And... hu I love. the Halo series. And... I always say things like... it doesn't matter to what halo 8 is to me because halo 1 and 2 or 3 were so great I don't care about

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: the new iterations. But what I really care about and what was really pissing me off is they announced Halo is moving to Activision. And that means we're cutting 256. more jobs.

Chris: Mm -hmm.

Autumnalrage: From. from gig designers.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: And. like i just keep looking at the game industry going Where does this roller coaster end? You've cut so many jobs in the last...

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Five years?

Chris: Yeah. Well, I mean i think Microsoft is has said, like I think Satya Nadella said that they were only

Autumnalrage: You know.

Chris: Like... three quarters of the way through the amount of cuts they want to make this year

Autumnalrage: Which is great. crazy!

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: What? What does that? What does that end up? being

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: it's It's very much a... Triple A title problem.

Chris: ah

Autumnalrage: it seems like, right?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: He does.

Chris: Oh yeah.

Autumnalrage: If... and Which... it's for me it's probably actually nice as i play a lot of indie games so i don't really care as much because any games they put out the company the company puts out their game they're usually very Grateful to their fans.

Autumnalrage: and

Chris: Mm -hmm.

Autumnalrage: you know they're very engaged with their fans it's very nice to be involved in those games.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: But these... these AAA companies is just churning through these people.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: And. As someone who at one point was like, oh, I would love to go into game design.

Chris: No, not now.

Autumnalrage: Now there's no, I would never tell anybody to go into game design.

Chris: yeah Yeah, I mean, unless you can like... work for um CD Projekt.

Autumnalrage: For now.

Chris: For now, yeah.

Autumnalrage: All right. for You know, until some...

Chris: Ah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: The company buys them out.

Chris: Earl.

Autumnalrage: and

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: destroys them.

Chris: Yeah, Larian seems decent, but other than that, I mean...

Autumnalrage: You know.

Autumnalrage: but seems this But they're going to put out one game every 12 years, so.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Which is fine, but, you know. As a game designer, I think I'd want to be working on things.

Chris: go

Autumnalrage: That's like the Halo particularly. It went from Bungie who was a company.

Chris: hu

Autumnalrage: um I don't know how to explain, it but I felt invested in as a fan of.

Chris: Yes.

Autumnalrage: Like I was a fan of the company bungee. This is before 343, the original bungee, right?

Chris: Mm -hmm Yeah. Right. Yeah. No, I, yeah.

Autumnalrage: I was a fan of the company and Bungie. they they split off they went through all their nonsense three four three And then Bungie, and I was still a fan of Bungie. Right? Destiny came out. ah I've supported that company.

Autumnalrage: And now I have. Apathy towards the company.

Chris: ah

Autumnalrage: Right, because.

Chris: yeah but that's Yeah, I mean, I've got a... destiny tattoo on my arm

Autumnalrage: Right. But you don't have a bungee tattoo because... What the hell does bungee even mean anymore?

Chris: Yeah, because, well, I almost got the tricorn.

Autumnalrage: Sure.

Chris: But I was but yeah, it's when David. you know with destiny they're well we're now gonna unvault all the stuff in d2 and it's like it's too little too late guys

Autumnalrage: Yeah, they... I... I saw that the other day.

Chris: Ah.

Autumnalrage: that they were talking we're gonna do that it's like well what you what happened was Your... project that you wanted to replace mar you know marathon

Chris: ah

Autumnalrage: Failed.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: and now you're like oh but guys come back to us because we'll just do this with that no no no know you

Chris: Mm -hmm.

Autumnalrage: You shat over your Destiny fans.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: who were supporting you.

Chris: Yep.

Autumnalrage: well beyond where they should have been.

Chris: oh My gosh, yes.

Autumnalrage: You know And you shat on them. Because you were like, oh, we want to move on to a new project, which, you know. Part of me understands.

Chris: it Yeah.

Autumnalrage: you know how long can you stay in that world but now

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: You don't get to go back and bite from that apple.

Chris: No.

Autumnalrage: you know and

Chris: No.

Autumnalrage: All of the people who made Destiny that we love Don't work at Bungie anymore.

Chris: No. No.

Autumnalrage: you know none of them are they're all been fired and you know kicked to the curb and

Chris: No.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: All the people that have worked on Halo are gone.

Chris: Mm -hmm

Autumnalrage: And look, some of those people. Of course, it's been 20 plus years. You know, they've moved on to other things, but most of them just got shitcanned. it It makes me feel like no brain loyalty to any of these companies.

Chris: And I mean... I don't understand. I mean... Halo to Activision. I mean... I... yeah Yeah, Activision does.

Chris: first player or first -person shooters. they do They do Call of Duty, though, and that's a different type of game than Halo.

Autumnalrage: Right. and If you put out Halo... What are they calling it? I looked it up.

Chris: was it combat ah not combat evolved

Autumnalrage: No. I don't know that they even named it. But... If you put out. the new Halo and it's just a call of duty skin you People are going to be rioting in the streets.

Chris: yeah Oh yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know, they're already... Your Halo fanbase is... Pretty pissed off.

Chris: Hmm.

Autumnalrage: Because...

Chris: Mm -hmm.

Autumnalrage: The last Halo was... It was fine. and I would say it's fine.

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: And then the new one, actually the. The combat campaign evolved one that they just did.

Chris: Mm -hmm.

Autumnalrage: was a fun thing and people like it. But if you shit on that and make it.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: If you make it to next. Call of Duty, people are going to fucking lose their minds.

Chris: Mm -hmm.

Autumnalrage: Because... That's what they're all worried about. That's what every Halo fan is now like. Why would you do this?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: But they're also doing it to Rare. Rare got moved to Activision, which Rare put out Sea of Thieves, right?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know, it's...

Chris: Well, yeah it's is Yeah, is this to... Really? Better the games. Or is it Microsoft trying to make their portfolio look really good for a sale?

Autumnalrage: no

Autumnalrage: I think. Personal. thought is that Microsoft Once out of the gaming space.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I think Microsoft Studios is dead.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Um, And they won out.

Chris: Hmm.

Autumnalrage: Personal, I mean, that's just my...

Chris: Yeah, no, no, I can see that. I mean... Some of the moves they've made. Although. But then they get. They do weird stuff. Like. the People on the Sony side were up in arms because...

Chris: Sony. cut ties with Kojima.

Autumnalrage: brea Kojima was not happy.

Chris: And then... microsoft but which and evidently i didn't you know had some statement about he didn't see this coming or whatever and sony's like we've been talking about this since march about the key performance indicators you haven't been meeting in and the timelines you haven't been meeting if you're like oh but it's kojima he's so creative in the sand it's like But at the end of the day, you've got to hold somebody accountable.

Autumnalrage: I mean, you say that. But then... GTA 6 exists. And...

Chris: Well, yeah, me either.

Autumnalrage: No one's holding that accountable.

Chris: ah Yeah, that's been... on the Burner for how long? Bye.

Autumnalrage: I mean, they've deleted.

Autumnalrage: Twice now it's supposed to it was supposed to come out 2025 originally

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Now it was going to be 2026. It might not be Total 28 at this point.

Chris: No, it's coming out.

Autumnalrage: Is it?

Chris: Yes.

Autumnalrage: Is it?

Chris: Yes.

Autumnalrage: uh -huh

Chris: Yeah, it's coming out in November.

Autumnalrage: No it's not.

Chris: Yeah it is.

Autumnalrage: I guarantee you.

Chris: All right. Well, in November when I'm playing GTA 6.

Autumnalrage: Okay.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: why would they Why would they put it out when they're still making money hands over fists on GTA 5?

Chris: yeah i i don't know

Autumnalrage: And... and

Chris: but

Autumnalrage: GTA. is the biggest problem in gaming. GTA and Fortnite are the biggest problem in gaming, right? Because everybody. Everybody else is chasing that.

Chris: Yeah. Oh yeah.

Autumnalrage: Right. Thank you. They wanted Halo Infinite to be the next GTA. and It didn't work.

Chris: Yep. Right.

Autumnalrage: and And instead of saying, oh.

Chris: They're like, oh, look at this. you know this is yeah People are buying this. this weekly pack or this monthly thing and this and that and you need to do this and yeah it's like

Autumnalrage: Right. and and And instead of saying, oh, this game was successful because it made X.

Chris: right

Autumnalrage: this game was a failure because it didn't turn into this.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: And. It's an impossible standard.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Right.

Chris: yeah I mean, that would that would literally be... you know, Which... help the Orioles but you know if they went to the Orioles and are like hey We need you to start putting these shoulder pads on and this other helmet. and running with the ball It's like, no, that's that's that's football.

Chris: We play baseball.

Autumnalrage: Right.

Chris: it's It's two separate things.

Autumnalrage: Well... And... It's people that don't understand the game industry. it's It's not even just games. It's almost everything, right? It's movies, right?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: It's...

Chris: Oh yeah.

Autumnalrage: it's It's... we didn't we We didn't get Avengers Endgame numbers. So everything after that is a failure.

Chris: Yep. Right. Yeah. it's And it's the shareholders or stockholders, whatever the hell they are, that are. Whoa. Well, the fortnight they make all that money why don't you just do that it's like but that we're not a fortnite game yeah cool but just just go live service i mean look at Sony is you know doing a lot of backtracking and all because they're like, all right, we're going to have 13 live service games. And it's like, cool, none of us want them.

Autumnalrage: Right, nobody... Nobody wants that.

Chris: Hmm.

Autumnalrage: And... More than that, it it's just... it alienates your fan base.

Chris: oh

Autumnalrage: Because... you take a game like halo and turn it into live service people are like nope that's not That's not what Halo is. That's not what I want you know. Destiny was...

Autumnalrage: Kind of a half -assed attempt. Especially D2 was a half -assed attempt at live service.

Chris: Yeah. Mhm.

Autumnalrage: They never really pulled it off very well

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: You know.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah, but the game still lasted seven years because...

Autumnalrage: It's just... it Right.

Chris: Of the game.

Autumnalrage: well Because the game was good. Right.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's still to this day some of the...

Autumnalrage: The game was...

Chris: best. first -person shooter you know interaction you have.

Autumnalrage: Mm -hmm. Yeah.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: and it's a great game and It had a great fan base going into it.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: it It didn't really grow, I think, is a problem.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Right. but

Chris: No, I agree.

Autumnalrage: But again, they're they're looking at it from the lens of it didn't turn into Fortnite instead of saying this was a successful game for seven years.

Chris: Yeah. Exactly.

Autumnalrage: you know

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: How many people bought their DLC? Tons.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know?

Chris: Yeah. i mean Yeah. It's... It's the reason why. you know the the core sports games, you know, the MLB, the show, the Madden, the all. They can release a game every year because you know what?

Chris: Be you. the, 90 % of it is based on the core of what it is and it's the sport. It's not the other stuff. I know m was MBA, a couple of years ago, they got in a lot of...

Chris: bad press because they had some some kind of battle pass or something and it was like no No, this is a basketball game. We don't need to, you know. oh let's try out these shoes or something

Autumnalrage: Yeah. and It's weird because like Larian is a weird example of a company that you're like, no, please put out more. You know.

Chris: Yeah! Yeah.

Autumnalrage: And. they're just like no we're not doing that You bastards.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know, I just want.

Chris: Yeah, and then... yeah you've got the other ones like um like cd project that you know oh what's that We've got The Witcher 4 coming out eventually, and we've got this... crazy DLC from you know for the witcher 3 coming out in the spring of next year so you know If you own the original game, Time.

Chris: Just download the remaster for free. We got you.

Autumnalrage: Blizzard. A company who I love to hate sometimes. They just put out. This is crazy to me.

Chris: a

Autumnalrage: They just put out. DLC. for war but Not World of Warcraft. Warcraft 3

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: A game that came out in... Well, I can tell you I played it in 1998.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Uh,

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: And they're like... And it's funny because I was like, oh, I still have my Warcraft 3 CDs.

Chris: sure

Autumnalrage: I still own them.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: And they're like, no, no, no, you got to buy this new remaster.

Chris: Mhm.

Autumnalrage: It's like... i want I would say it was almost $90.

Chris: Shoo!

Autumnalrage: If you want to play this game.

Chris: Hmm.

Autumnalrage: You got to buy the war the remaster and... by the dlc and it's like I thought. willing to spend $90 on it. 25 plus year old game.

Autumnalrage: I'm sorry to say

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: Maybe. 10 years ago, that would have been cool. Not now. Yeah.

Chris: yeah yeah Yeah, well, that's what I mean. Blizzard. they just announced World of Warcraft forever?

Autumnalrage: Forever, yeah.

Chris: Yeah, it's like the third version of vanilla. Warcraft. But... I don't know Yeah, it's got some differences.

Autumnalrage: Ish.

Chris: And then it Diablo 5.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Is it been announced?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Oh.

Chris: Spring of 2085.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: Yeah. But again, I mean, it's one of those you know It's... Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, but see, Diablo, I don't have any problem with what... blizzard does because they're pretty upfront about it as a company. Like, look. This is Diablo. We're going to have seasons.

Autumnalrage: There's going to be.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: three to four dlcs and then we're done with that And we're moving on to the next Diablo.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: They've been pretty upfront about that.

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: Every time.

Chris: Yeah, I've not played a ton of Diablo, but Affirm. heard like The. one gripe is like each new season you have to roll a new character

Autumnalrage: That is kind of annoying. My neighbor.

Chris: That's yeah

Autumnalrage: Loves it.

Chris: Hmm.

Autumnalrage: Like legitimately, he loves it because every new season he's like, I found the new broken thing and he just plays the crap out of it. I get like. I know, i already I already made a character. Thank you.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Let me just play my character again.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: No.

Chris: Yeah, just let me carry this person over.

Autumnalrage: Um, But on the flip side, they do. It's a whole it' It's been really good DLCs. And every time it's... Diablo, it's... Diablo.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Like. There's tweaks and little things are different, but it's still.

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: at its core. Diablo.

Chris: Yeah, like you're not getting... I don't know

Chris: Space armor and yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, and you don't have to do any of the battle pass crap Like...

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You just have the DLCs and you play the new story and then you move on.

Chris: Yep.

Autumnalrage: Which is all I do.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: like My neighbor's into it. playing it maxing out the numbers so i just go in there i play the new dlc i'm like oh that was cool It was a cool.

Chris: oh So you play a game just... set for your enjoyment and you get what you want out of it and that's good enough

Autumnalrage: Yeah. Yeah.

Chris: Ah. Huh.

Autumnalrage: Good enough for me.

Chris: Huh. Okay.

Autumnalrage: Not good enough for some people?

Chris: That's crazy. I eat this.

Autumnalrage: Well I think that That's a lot of people's problem too, is they they expect. Wick, what is the number? Right? I paid $70 for this game.

Chris: huh

Autumnalrage: How many hours? Do I have to play it to get enjoyment out of it?

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: You know, it. I paid $8 the other day. to play a game with my brother and his friend. We play like. Once a week. usually we play games together and usually we just find like cheap

Chris: hu

Autumnalrage: eight And if I only play that for like... six hours, I'm like, oh, that was $8 well spent. Because. If I... if i went to a bar and spent eight dollars

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: That's 30 minutes of my life.

Chris: Why? Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Maybe.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: All right. But if... I play with. my brother and his friends for and for six hours and we have fun and i'm like oh that was cool and i'm not like

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Oh, I'm blown away. because it was an eight dollar experience

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: But if I pay $70 and I get... i don't know I would say 14 hours plus of of fun out of it.

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: That's all I need. Like, like. ah No one that I know of is like, man, I... Baldur's Gate was a disappointment to me because I didn't get enough out of it.

Chris: Oh my God. If there's somebody out there listening who does think that, please try to explain this to me because I don't get it.

Autumnalrage: Right. But you paid. I don't know, $60 for Daughters Gate 3, right?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: anyway the experience hasn't changed i mean they've updated a little bit they've added subclasses and stuff whatever

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: But nothing. ground bacon is like i have to I...

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: and in fact i kind of find it weirdly like i can't go back and play it again

Chris: i know i've tried i get like three quarters of the way through act one and i'm just like Yeah.

Autumnalrage: yeah I keep getting like, I was like, I played it.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Try to look download it the other day and played as a monk, and I was like, oh, yeah.

Chris: hu

Autumnalrage: I just...

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: there's something about like I kind of want to skip act one.

Chris: well i think it's also because and we've talked about this before it's you know There's that character that I play as and it's very hard to play as somebody else in that game So I'm just gonna fall right into my scene you know troops

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Mm hmm.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, and it's hard for me to make different decisions

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: Yeah. yeah there's a reason why i made that decision in the first place

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: So. But I mean, you talk about. Yeah. yeah the eight dollar game or whatever and you know what the enjoyment i mean it kind of dovetails right in what I was going to talk about and it's People look at some of these reviews and they're like, oh, well, this game didn't get 10 out of 10.

Autumnalrage: Oh, yes.

Chris: it's not worth my time and it's like

Autumnalrage: That's a ridiculous process.

Chris: It is. It is because I have played. I had a ton of fun playing some hell. Four out of tens, three out of tens.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, so you're not a steam user.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I'm a steamer

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: as we call ourselves steamers.

Chris: Yeah. I've steamed before.

Autumnalrage: You've steamed before.

Chris: I have.

Autumnalrage: but one of the Maybe be beneficial, sometimes useless. Part of Steam is you get user reviews.

Chris: huh

Autumnalrage: And I do tend to read that some of the reviews. Like if there's a game...

Chris: Oh yeah.

Autumnalrage: home Before I spend money, I'm going to look at the reviews.

Chris: Yes.

Autumnalrage: And usually. If it's a technical thing... if Someone's like, this game... Like I was better view a game guys like This game was not ready for release. there's Way too many bugs in the UI.

Autumnalrage: Then I'm like, oh.

Chris: Yeah. yeah

Autumnalrage: That's information I need.

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: I'm not going to buy that product.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Right. Or if somebody's like, this is just AI generated slop, don't buy this.

Chris: Hmm. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: up

Chris: Yep.

Autumnalrage: Cool. Not buying that. What's the product like? Hold this. This isn't Baldur's Gate 3, this is Baldur's Gate 5.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Look, Brock. Yeah.

Chris: Comparison is the thief of joy.

Autumnalrage: A hundred percent. And like. it's funny you'll you'll go on a game and it'll be like mostly positive and then The first review will be negative. It's like.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Why? if If everybody's enjoying this thing except this one guy, why is that guy the loudest?

Chris: Right. Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know.

Chris: what's And then you get the people that don't. I don't know. to take thing i don't know not take sin seriously but like the the new resident evil movie like people are giving it raving reviews and they're like That can't be right because the other Resident Evil movies, you know, the top they got was like a 32 % on Rotten Tomatoes. It's like...

Chris: If people are having fun at the movie, who gives a shit?

Autumnalrage: who cares about Rotten Tomatoes.

Chris: It doesn't affect you. Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. Are you me?

Chris: Yeah, exactly

Autumnalrage: You have my life experiences.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: do Do you find the things funny that I find funny?

Chris: Yeah. Right, yeah.

Autumnalrage: No.

Chris: yeah and that's the thing that ah you know you talk about you read the reviews and things like that and it's But you then have to like weed through them and figure out, like you said, which ones are actually focused on it. and kind of jibe with you, or is it just some maniac? like That.

Chris: the review bombs that just people set off now it's insane like evidently the new Wolverine game was getting bombed by all these people and it's like

Autumnalrage: Oh yeah.

Chris: Then they broke it down. It's like actual Sony. users. gave it like, you know. sevens and eights and things like that. And it was other people that were given these low scores. It's like, well, you didn't even play the game because it's a Sony game.

Autumnalrage: I did see... Some Sony users about the Wolverine game thing.

Chris: Well, yeah, yeah.

Autumnalrage: It's... This is kind of boring. It's not that it's a bad game, it's just kind of boring.

Chris: Yeah. Right, yeah. Yeah, yeah, that's why I...

Autumnalrage: You know.

Chris: I was originally going to get it, and I was like, you know what? I'll wait for a sale.

Autumnalrage: Right. Look. That's a perfectly valid thing, you know.

Chris: right

Autumnalrage: Again, we talk about value. If I get a game that's... Usually 60 bucks. I get it for 30 bucks and I play it.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: For 20 hours, I'm like, oh, that was a great deal.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: You know?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: There's some games on my Steam who I've paid. way less than I feel like it should have. And I've enjoyed the heck out of them. you know And then I just put them away and they're done. It's fine.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: It's...

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know... ah

Chris: And there's also been games that I've gotten you know, all my monthly free games from you know, Sony PlayStation Plus or whatever. and I'm like, man. I really missed out on this when it first came out, but now I get to play it.

Autumnalrage: Mm hmm. Mm hmm. Yeah, i I mean, I still have the Game Pass, even though they've jacked up jacked it up hardcore. It's so weird to figure out where am I even tiered at anymore. but um i still download free games i'm like oh this is a fun i played a game of the other day i was like I can't remember what the heck it was called.

Autumnalrage: And it was like this weird. Dungeon builder game or whatever and I was like, oh, this is pretty fun

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: and I didn't pay a dime for it.

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: I mean, am I paying for it? One footy. But...

Chris: Yeah, wikiia but...

Autumnalrage: I didn't pay any extra for it and it was fine.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I played, you know. I played. ah Now, look, I'm not going to go a thousand point this game. You know, I'm not going to.

Chris: Yeah. Right, yeah.

Autumnalrage: Don't devote in I don't thousand -point any games anymore

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: you know I...

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: Going back to my topic about it is like I don't feel The loyalty to games to... send that kind of time into it anymore. you know.

Chris: Yeah, it really depends on the game.

Autumnalrage: Sure. if if something blew my socks off and i was like oh i'm i just want to get back in this world All the time. Yeah, I'll spend the time in it.

Chris: yep

Autumnalrage: but That's not most games anymore.

Chris: No.

Autumnalrage: It's not even close.

Chris: Right. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Most games, I'm like, oh, good. I got a cool playthrough through it.

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: That's all I needed in my life.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah. Yep.

Autumnalrage: My brother and I.

Chris: Yeah, because also some of them, they make Yeah. Yeah, and this is totally off topic. I think we've talked about it before, but some of these achievements, trophies, whatever you want to call them, it's like... No, don't make me do this. Oh, you.

Chris: You know, wearing these boots and this glove killed.

Autumnalrage: Oh yeah. Yeah.

Chris: this guy at this time it's no i don't i don't I'm going to have to read through a guide to like find these little Easter egg trophies.

Autumnalrage: I kind of enjoy achievements that I get accidentally.

Chris: Yes.

Autumnalrage: I kind of like just. I find more satisfaction. and as Dumb ah satisfaction as you get of achievements, right? They're a totally dumb thing to get a satisfaction out of. Nobody...

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: I can tell you. No one looks at your resume and says, well what achievements do you have?

Chris: Exactly.

Autumnalrage: that That's not happening. Nobody looks at your achievements.

Chris: god I'm gonna start putting that on my resume

Autumnalrage: You should definitely, you should.

Chris: guys

Autumnalrage: change your title at works on your email to Thousand point and just put all the thousands. Okay.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: Or, I'm sorry, your's your platinum trophies.

Chris: Platinums, yeah.

Autumnalrage: We'll put platinum trophied in this game, this game, this game, right?

Chris: Oh no, I'm going to put a little trophy count in the bottom of my big email signature.

Autumnalrage: here

Autumnalrage: You should.

Chris: Oh my gosh.

Autumnalrage: but When I play a game and I'm like, oh, I got this.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I don't know. I was playing something.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I got a weird achievement. I was playing with my brother and I was like, oh, I got achievement for that. He's like, oh, that's cool. And I'm like, and it was just some random thing.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: you know i was like oh that's you know that's i enjoy that natural

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: because i don't i never especially on steam i never look at the achievements I just get them.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: and

Chris: Yep. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: It's a much better way to play

Chris: Yeah. Yeah I agree. But... Yeah. the That like you Getting back to your topic. the decisions that these gaming companies are making i just i don't get it I just don't.

Autumnalrage: No.

Chris: um

Autumnalrage: I...

Chris: It's...

Autumnalrage: I don't know what they're... What do they think is going to happen?

Chris: Well... Yeah it -

Autumnalrage: Right, because this is a billion plus dollar industry, right?

Chris: Right.

Autumnalrage: I'm...

Autumnalrage: it's It's getting to the point where the economy is getting shittier, right? so

Chris: Yeah, so...

Autumnalrage: sir

Chris: Yeah, people's disposable income is getting tighter and tighter.

Autumnalrage: Right.

Chris: End.

Autumnalrage: in the end. If you ruin the brain loyalty...

Chris: Yeah. Right. um

Autumnalrage: Then... They're going to be less.

Chris: Yeah. Hmm.

Autumnalrage: Invested in you.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I like listened to the Bungie podcast. I was very invested in that company.

Chris: Oh yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: you know. And. Just... I don't care about them anymore

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Because why could they're not the company? that I cared about.

Chris: Right. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know. I'm... They're Although they're owned by. They were owned by Sony, right? And now they're owned by somebody else.

Chris: I... i I don't know.

Autumnalrage: I don't know

Chris: i think sony's still technically their parent company but they do their own uh it's it's so confusing.

Autumnalrage: It's always...

Chris: And then you've got all these companies that are now owned by Saudi Arabia.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. Yeah.

Chris: Was that EA, I think, is the big one with that?

Autumnalrage: Yeah, yeah. and And it's a... problem. Right.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Because. I think. Personally, not personally, but for us. as players, it's going to be bad.

Chris: hu

Autumnalrage: Right. Because either you're either going to have to move to independent games. to find enjoyment.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Or... You're just going to have to suffer the fact that these... Very large. None. consumer focused companies are going to ruin everything you love.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, because...

Autumnalrage: Because not not every...

Chris: at the end of the day they just want to make More money.

Autumnalrage: Right. Because not every company. has their GTA 5.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Right. Rockstar.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: It's going to be pretty hard for somebody to to offer Rockstar money.

Chris: right yet.

Autumnalrage: to buy them out. Right.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Because they're like... You don't understand.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Whatever you're offering us, we're going to print that out. with a new car tomorrow.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Right? Like...

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: We don't need what you have. And look, I get it. like

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I understand the process of, oh my god, I have to put a game out in 13 months. Or I can't feed these people. right so

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I'm going to take money from. the evil corporation.

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: But it's rooting.

Chris: Yeah. Right.

Autumnalrage: The gaming space. you know.

Chris: Yeah, well that's I need to look it up but like ah

Autumnalrage: And. and

Chris: ah God, I can't think of the name of the company, but they made Star Wars Zero Company.

Autumnalrage: this

Chris: And evidently, like... it was tough times there at the end they're like yeah we gotta you know furlough you guys because we can't pay you right now. We feel so bad. But that game has been a...

Chris: you know or success overall. And I'm hoping that they were able to go back and you know put those people back on the payroll and you know give them what they need.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, so... like I... a guy The guy who put out Star Wars Galaxy back in the day. He put out a game called Stars Reach. stars reach

Chris: Okay.

Autumnalrage: End. He even was kind of... he kind of admitted he's like i have to put this out as early access because we have to pay our employees

Chris: ah

Autumnalrage: So if people will buy it in early access. And I could tell you the game was not ready for early access.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Like I jumped in and I was like, oh, this is.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Almost to the point where I feel like it ruined my... hopes for the game.

Chris: o

Autumnalrage: Which really sucks. right because i'm like oh this could be really cool But you needed another. year. to work on it. Right. And.

Autumnalrage: That sucks. But I get it. You gotta pay your employees.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Well. it's it's It's a weird industry.

Autumnalrage: Because it takes a while to put out a product.

Autumnalrage: oh

Chris: but again there's people that don't understand that they just see money

Autumnalrage: and like

Chris: And... Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Chris: They don't care about the quality. They're like, yep, send it out. you know. oh wait you didn't meet our expectations and that's the thing i hate about that is when they don't clearly or it seems like they don't clearly tell the developer what their expectations are And when they don't hit this magic.

Chris: Moving. you know, Limbo stick. it's nice Sorry, we're going to have to let you go.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, yeah. ands it's it's a frustrating cycle because It's... Going to kill projects that... would have been... Perfectly great.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know. well you know you look at somebody like iron studios if they had a developer bringing you know ah a Mega Corporation breathing down their neck. they wouldn't have made Baldur's Gate.

Chris: No. No.

Autumnalrage: You know.

Chris: Or if they did, God only knows how it would look.

Autumnalrage: Right. And. Maybe that's why they're not making Baldur's Gate 4.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Because they don't want to get involved in that. world.

Chris: Right, year yeah Yeah.

Autumnalrage: they seem very happy to be like well we'll put out a game once every uh i don't know eight years You know?

Chris: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. on our terms on you know

Autumnalrage: Um, Yeah. Which is great because they're making what they want to make and they're making it well.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: and they still seem to understand what their games are, unlike another company, you know, BioWare.

Chris: ah hu o

Autumnalrage: ah But... but I would say the same thing. I think bungee is a company that doesn't know what they're making. And that's what I worry about with Halo.

Chris: Yeah, no. Yep.

Autumnalrage: Activision is it's now a company that doesn't know what they're making.

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: You know.

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: To recent.

Chris: And I know they say, well, it's ah it's a subset of Activision that's...

Autumnalrage: up

Chris: that yeah it's That's not, the you know, it's a part. ah or it's separated from the call of duty section it's like there's going to be influence Those people, they have...

Chris: known Call of Duty for the last umpteen years.

Autumnalrage: And it's not like Activision has the best reputation outside of... Call of Duty.

Chris: yeah yeah they don't treat their employees well they don't care about crunch they yeah Hmm.

Autumnalrage: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. So. What that does to.

Chris: Mm hmm.

Autumnalrage: The product they're putting out, who knows?

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know.

Chris: Hmm.

Autumnalrage: It's a... It's a weird future.

Chris: It is. It is.

Autumnalrage: A weird future.

Chris: And yeah, I get that you know these are some first world problems that, you know oh, you know. What? fun entertainment are you going to spend your disposable income on but there's People need entertainment and they need to be able to...

Chris: Rely on that.

Autumnalrage: I think that's a weird argument about things because like

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: People say, oh, it's a first world problem. Yeah, but it... It's my problem.

Chris: Exactly.

Autumnalrage: It doesn't make it.

Chris: Yeah. Right.

Autumnalrage: It doesn't make it more important than people's houses burning down. I deal with that too.

Chris: No. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Right. But... It's still my problem. Like, I still...

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: What to... Enjoy. My thing? Because...

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: I have a stressful job and sometimes I like to come home and play games.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: and That seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to do. With my time.

Chris: Exactly.

Autumnalrage: I mean.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know?

Chris: Yep. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: i don't find it to be a way you know because we grew you and i grew up in the that's a waste of your time

Chris: Yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Right? I don't find it to be a waste of my time.

Chris: No.

Autumnalrage: In fact, the opposite.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Because I find myself to have joy out of it.

Chris: yeah I find joy.

Autumnalrage: Cool.

Chris: It keeps them in my mind sharp.

Autumnalrage: They're so...

Chris: helps remind me my left from my right.

Autumnalrage: There's so little things in this world. that bring you joy.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: You know. And. If it brings you joy, enjoy it.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know? Doesn't hurt anybody.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: I'm sitting in my basement. Eat my Cheetos.

Chris: Mm -hmm

Autumnalrage: no Just...

Chris: let me be Let me do the stuff that I like.

Autumnalrage: So.

Chris: yeah but Don't then criticize when I want. the companies to Keep going. doing the things I like and not what they think I should like.

Autumnalrage: Right. And not only that, but like... Don't act like I don't have a voice. Because of course I have a voice. right My voice is my wallet.

Autumnalrage: And my time.

Chris: huh

Autumnalrage: well to which's We're both of older.

Chris: yeah

Autumnalrage: you know we We have flipped the age. thing where it's no longer Our wallet that drives it, it's our time that drives it, right?

Chris: Time, yeah.

Autumnalrage: You know, we we have... X number of out of time It's not our wallet. That's the Because when we were kids, when we were... 20s right

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: It was definitely our wallets.

Chris: Oh yeah.

Autumnalrage: Right.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: oh man like halo's coming out in like three months i gotta save up 60 bucks right like

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: That was a thing.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: now it's not of think like I still have to go to my wife, can I just spend $50 on a game?

Chris: Yeah.

Chris: I know, yeah. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: And she's like.

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: You're a grown -ass man with a job. Of course you can.

Chris: yeah the Yeah, my wife does the same thing. I'm like, yeah, I'm still going to ask her next time.

Autumnalrage: Right. Yeah. it But it's time is our...

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: is our thing now.

Chris: Mm -hmm

Autumnalrage: Yep. Up there, that's their time. Down here.

Chris: down here

Autumnalrage: It's our time.

Chris: It's our time.

Chris: well with that I think that's a good cast of the pod

Autumnalrage: yeah

Chris: Yeah.

Autumnalrage: Yep.

Chris: So I hope people ah survive the. nor 'easter

Autumnalrage: Yeah, yeah, if I don't...

Chris: Yeah. Don't. Yeah.

Autumnalrage: get spread out to the ocean, I'll be fine.

Chris: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, bring something inflatable just in case.

Autumnalrage: Yeah. yeah yeah

Chris: But I...

Autumnalrage: We are staying right on the water, too.

Chris: oh Yeah. Yeah. So call me if you need me. I'll bring the Jeep.

Autumnalrage: Okay.

Chris: All right, folks.

Autumnalrage: Well, folks. Until you're... Early fall.

Chris: Yeah. yep

Autumnalrage: you know it's 86 degrees inside today.

Chris: Yeah. But it. Yeah, that was, yeah, it's, yeah. weather's bonkers but Yeah. And... Be safe.

Autumnalrage: Yeah, be safe out there
