In this week's episode, we are diving into how you can use your subconscious mind to prepare for uncomfortable,
Speaker: or painful situations in your life, in your business, how you can literally train your mind to help you get through anything. And I'm going to break this down for you guys by sharing with you the behind the scenes details on what I am currently doing to train my subconscious mind to prepare for an unmedicated natural childbirth.
Speaker: Now as I record this, I am currently 38 weeks pregnant. I could literally give birth any minute, any day now. I don't think she's coming just yet, but it technically could happen any day now. So I wanted to record this episode before that day came, before baby girl enters the world and really document what this looked like because my subconscious has been such a tremendous help for me in preparing for this life -changing event.
Speaker: Now, of course, I'm going to break this down for you through the context of preparing for childbirth. Now, as you're listening to this, you may not be preparing for an unmedicated natural childbirth, you may not be pregnant, you may even be a male. But the truth is, what I'm going to share with you guys today is going to support you in subconsciously preparing for literally anything that you go through, literally any uncomfortable, painful event that you go through in your life and in your business.
Speaker: So it's relevant for all human beings, for all entrepreneurs, for everyone. So there's four specific things that I have been doing to prepare myself for childbirth, specifically for an unmedicated natural childbirth. Now, again, as I record this, I'm 38 weeks pregnant, I have not given birth yet. The event has not happened. And I am well aware that childbirth is a very unpredictable experience.
Speaker: And I am not against taking medication if I need to in that moment. But as of right now, I am preparing for a natural unmedicated childbirth. And so here are the four things that I have been doing throughout my pregnancy to prepare for this big, life -changing, painful, uncomfortable event. So I'll break down each of them one by one. The first thing that I have been doing throughout my entire pregnancy is something called fear clearing.
Speaker: fear clearing any societal programming that was in my subconscious around childbirth and pregnancy. So really quickly, why is it so important to prepare and prime your subconscious for painful and uncomfortable events? Well, the way you handle uncomfortable situations and painful things in your life is directly related to the way you are programmed to
Speaker: deal with uncomfortable and painful experiences. It's also directly related to how you've been programmed by society and by your parents and by influential figures that you've had in your life about how you handle the tough stuff. And we all have limiting beliefs in our minds. No one is immune to it.
Speaker: So doing this work doesn't mean that you're weak. It just means that you are mentally preparing and your subconscious is the blueprint of the way you show up in the world and the way you experience everything that you go through. So it's so important to prepare your subconscious for the tough stuff, especially if you have a desired vision of how you'd like things to go.
Speaker: So for me, as it relates to childbirth, I have this specific vision of having a peaceful experience during childbirth. And I remember growing up, there were so many movies that I saw describing childbirth as this horrible, painful experience where women are yelling and screaming.
Speaker: And I just didn't want to accept that that was going to be my experience. I wanted to set myself up to have a peaceful, beautiful, transformational birth. And again, I know that things do not always go as planned during childbirth. This is my first child and I've never done it before. So we'll definitely do a follow up podcast after I give birth. But I have this vision of how I would like my birth to be. And because I've already been doing subconscious work for so long, and this is the work I do with my clients,
Speaker: i know i can prime and program my subconscious to be prepared for the experience that i would like to create for myself and i just did not want to go into it feeling fear i also know a lot of women who have had beautiful peaceful experiences but because i know i grew up with a lot of negative programming around childbirth
Speaker: I knew I needed to do some fear clearing so that I could go into this feeling grounded, feeling peaceful, feeling connected with myself. So how do you do fear clearing? The way I've been doing fear clearing is through hypnotherapy. So I've worked specifically with a hypnotherapist to clear out any specific fears that I had, any conditioning that was in my subconscious around
Speaker: what childbirth is and rewired my mind to believe what I would like childbirth to be. And again, no matter if you are giving birth or you're about to take a big risk in your life or business, fear clearing is something that is extremely important to do because it's going to help you in really cultivating the experience that you want and the way you want to feel.
Speaker: The second thing that I have been doing is something called creating a bubble of peace. Now, when you talk about childbirth and pregnancy, a lot of people come at you with their experiences. A lot of people come at you with their visions, with their belief systems and how they believe things to be, right? If you've ever had a child, I'm sure you've heard throughout your pregnancy,
Speaker: Sleep now. Just wait till the baby comes. Get ready. Childbirth is going to be the hardest thing you've ever gone through. Your life will never be the same. I could literally go on and on with things that I've heard or things that other women have told me that have been said to them. And the truth is, is how do you know this is the hardest thing I've ever been through?
Speaker: How do you know I have not been through emotionally? How do you know that I haven't been through something that was 10 times more emotionally painful that I've already survived? And so by allowing other people to program your mind for you while you're in the experience, taints the experience for you.
Speaker: Now what this could look like for you in business is if you're talking to someone who's not in the entrepreneur space and you're telling them your big visions and your dreams and your goals of what you're about to create in your business and they're like, that's unrealistic. That doesn't usually happen that way. Success takes a long time. Get ready to work your ass off. The list goes on. You're going to hear things from other people that aren't out of alignment with what you believe for yourself. And the truth is the things that you hear from other people can seriously impact you no matter how strong you believe you are.
Speaker: And so something that I've been doing is visualizing a bubble of peace. So I put myself in this bubble so that when things are said to me that aren't in alignment with my belief system, I'm protected from those thoughts of other people. And I can stay grounded and aligned with what I believe to be true for me, what I believe to be true about the experience that I would like to have. This is a simple practice of canceling out the noise around you. So a simple way to
Speaker: Cancel the noise of people who are not supportive, who have belief systems that are out of alignment with what you would like to believe to be true for you. You just say to yourself, bubble of peace. You don't need to argue with those people. You don't need to make yourself right and make them wrong. You just put yourself in your own bubble of peace and you stay there until they're done saying what they need to say. And then it's done. Move on. The third thing that I have been doing is separating myself from the experiences of other people.
Speaker: So there are a lot of stories about childbirth in the world that could scare the shit out of people. And in fact, I've worked with a few clients who have gone through traumatic birth experiences and had a lot of fear and trauma from past births that they wanted to clear because they're pregnant again, or because their wife is pregnant again. And they wanted to clear out that trauma so that they could go into this next pregnancy feeling whole feeling clear and have a more present grounded experience.
Speaker: And so if I allowed the experiences of other people to seep into my own subconscious, it would taint my experience, especially because while I was doing this work with my clients, I was pregnant. So I'm here pregnant, helping my clients eliminate trauma around childbirth. So with that, something I created to support myself in staying in my own energy and my own belief systems is separating myself from the experiences of others.
Speaker: because the truth is just because someone else had that experience doesn't mean it's going to be your experience. And what happens when people share their experiences is oftentimes we automatically start associating ourselves with that experience. And so here's something that I've been doing, something that I've taught my clients to do is when they're hearing about an experience that is triggering or traumatic, that is someone else's repeating to yourself, that's not my experience.
Speaker: I'm listening in a state of compassion and I'm holding space while I listen to someone else's story, but it's not my experience. And I don't need to make it my experience. So looking at this through a business context, if you're someone who's starting a business, and someone tells you a story about how someone else failed doing exactly what you'd like to do, you just say to yourself, that's not my experience. That's not
Speaker: my experience. Repeat this to yourself over and over again. It works tremendously. And the fourth thing that I have been doing that has prepared me for the event of natural unmedicated childbirth is hypnobirthing. Hypnobirthing is hypnosis for childbirth. It is programming your subconscious mind to have the birth experience that you would like to have. There is so much research out there that supports how self -hypnosis can help relieve pain, can help with pain management,
Speaker: And so hypnobirthing is this incredible tool that I will be using during my delivery. And I've been also doing this prior to delivery to prepare for it is listening to hypnobirthing tracks. Now I recently took a hypnobirthing course. And so through that course, I have been preparing myself for my childbirth experience. And also it will support me during delivery to manage
Speaker: pain. So I'm pre programming my subconscious for the event of an unmedicated childbirth through hypnobirthing and also I'll be using it throughout the experience. So how this looks like for you, let's bring back the business example is you can use self hypnosis to prepare yourself to take a big risk. Let's say you're about to make a big investment in your business.
Speaker: and you're scared shitless. What if it's a mistake? What if it doesn't work out? You can train your subconscious through self -hypnosis to expect that your investment, that your risk will work out for you exactly as it needs to. And you can also use self -hypnosis while you are making the investment to manage stress and anxiety. It's an incredible game -changing tool that I recommend all entrepreneurs, all human beings use in their life
Speaker: in every experience. I know it's rare to hear that you can use something for literally anything in your life, but when it comes to self -hypnosis, it literally works for everything you go through in your life. Whether it's childbirth, whether it's business growth, whether it's pain management, whether it's stress, anxiety, whatever it is, self -hypnosis is
Speaker: a game changer. So I highly recommend you learn how to utilize the power of self hypnosis if you have not already. And of course, if you want to learn how you can use the power of self hypnosis, a great place to start is the Rewired app. The Rewired app has over 30 self hypnosis and subconscious visualization recordings designed to help you eliminate subconscious blocks, wire your subconscious and feel like your absolute best self in your life. Speaker: Now to sum up today's episode, we talked about managing pain and uncomfortable situations through the power of your subconscious mind. And I talked about it through the lens of childbirth because that's been what I've been using my subconscious to prepare for for the past few months. But you can literally prepare your subconscious mind for any big experience in life or business that brings up fear or is going to challenge you. And
Speaker: And I would say one of the most important things to take away from this episode is separating yourself from other people's experiences is the most important thing that you could possibly do for yourself. And you can do that by rewiring your subconscious of old programming from the past. You can do it by tuning out noise of people in your present day life.
Speaker: And you can do it by programming your subconscious using self -hypnosis in the moment on the spot, which is what I will be doing during my delivery. So as I mentioned, I have not given birth yet. I have no idea how this is going to go down. I will most definitely create a follow -up episode to this and share the exact birth story and what happened and how self -hypnosis supported me through that. But this is the prep phase. This is what I've done to prepare.
Speaker: So I hope this episode was helpful for you so that you can see how you can use your subconscious mind to literally prepare and train your mind to overcome and get through literally anything in your life that is painful, that is uncomfortable. So that's all for today.
Speaker: Again, we'll have a follow up episode whenever baby girl decides to grace us with her presence on the earth when I have a birth story for you to let you know how it goes. But until then, I will be continuing along with all of these four things. And I'm actually planning to double down on my hypno birthing audio tracks over the next two weeks. I'm actually doing a week.
Speaker: I am due one week from now. No, like a week and a half. I'm doing a week and a half. All right, so stay tuned. More to come on this and I will see you guys in the next episode.
