um But given that we raced into a 2-0 lead, I think it was kind of... The onus was on Atletico to kind of bring the game to Liverpool now. um And they actually played... you know It's a shame because um I'm not going to criticise Simeone's tactics, but they've got the players to play some brilliant football. I mean, they were playing... They played really well out of our press a couple of times. I thought Llorente and Gallagher in this field were really strong combination.

And I think it's Simeone, Simeone's son, actually, who played on the wing, who's given us a few problems as well, um alongside Griezmann. um Their interplay in and around the box was was quite dangerous. And yeah, you could see them growing into the game, even though Lil Po also had some chances um at the other end as well. um Salah had that one where he he just the ball just flew over the top and he it on the volley straight into Oblak's arms.

I mean, he was doing that when when he's in the number 10 position, but that left-hand side, he looks dangerous. I mean, he's conceded two goals, but he really couldn't do anything about those two goals. I thought he was excellent in terms of what he needed to do, his distribution.

um Fantastic. I know he had that little distribution where he kicked it and probably wasn't the best clearance, but that's not going to penalise his scoring for me. I'll give him a solid 7 out of 10. um ten um Frimpong, I thought Frimpong was excellent for the 60 minutes he came on. and i think his recovery pace, um not a big fan of Kyle Walker, but his recovery pace, I think, is reminds me of sort of what Kyle Walker offered that City team for a number of years.

couple of other chances so yeah that was the Salah performance that that we like to see and hopefully that's a sign of things to come so i'm going to give Salah a nine um and Isak Alexander Isak did debut played 57 minutes had I think three or four shots um in the game link up play was was outstanding I mean if that's an Alexander Isak who's not even fully fit who hasn't had a pre-season and he looked well up for it got himself stuck into tackles um i'm I'm excited. i i love what I'm seeing. I mean, I don't know about any other Liverpool fans, but you know when the the team walked out today and and the Champions League camera does that thing where pans across the whole team, it felt like I was looking at the Real Madrid Galacticos, but in a red version and an even better version because I'm seeing Alisson van Dijk
