But the reality is when it comes to having a business or a brand that is truly valuable, that has and intrinsic identity or intangible assets, that really comes down to the strength of the brand.
Speaker: And there are lots of different components to this, but one of the major things that I think is overlooked is really understanding the power and the value of brand and protecting it.
Speaker: So this could be looking at things like your IP, your trademarks, your patents. What would make your business valuable? What would add value to your business that would transcend the balance sheet?
Speaker: So this is a major area that is often overlooked because in the beginning, you may not be thinking about trademarks. You may not be thinking about protecting assets because you're so focused on building the business.
Speaker: But as time goes on, if you haven't placed the focus on intrinsic identity and this idea of building a brand that has value, that transcends just the numbers, it's a major opportunity for you to capitalise on. So intrinsic identity is a huge part of building a brand that has that enduring legacy.
