Guest Introduction: Brian

00:00:59
Speaker
What is up, Daddy Gang? It is your founding father. Today's topic is when to put a finger in. Our guest today is Secretary of Homeland Security. Brian? Say hello, Brian. Hello?
00:01:17
Speaker
Yes, that was us. That audio clip actually cost us a lot of money.
00:01:26
Speaker
People have been wondering what the last award, you know, so end of season award is. Well, we spent it all on on that fiver right there.
00:01:37
Speaker
Brian, how have you been? How you doing? What's going on? It's good. I don't know. Things are good. Life's good. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Staying busy. Any snoring animals joining us today? You know what? Um, my,
00:01:53
Speaker
My snoring dog went to bed. Well, okay all three snoring dogs went to bed with my wife. So they are sequestered in the other room right now, but ah they like to make their appearances. So if you hear anything halfway through, it's because ah Potato likes to sleep under my feet while I'm working on the computer and everyone can hear him.
00:02:16
Speaker
Thank you, Brian. And thanks for joining us.

Podcast History and Platform Discussion

00:02:19
Speaker
Is this your is this your third, fourth? Gosh, we got to start telling how many shows we've had people on. How nice. Is this our third season, Jeffrey? Of the podcast, yeah. Yeah. Is it? Second? Third. Third? Third. Brian, welcome to your third show. Great to have you here. prop As you know, we've got a shortened format. Sorry, everyone, for last week, but Everyone we've asked agrees that it was worth the extra time. We're going to kick things off with Q's and C's. Number one, we are on Apple podcasts. Yep, we are. Um, I try to, I, I, I try to put a podcast links in the, in the discord every, every time I post a podcast and, um, I'll try to remember to put the Apple podcast link in there too.
00:03:13
Speaker
I just needed it once, I appreciate it, but tell your friends, tell your family, like and subscribe, especially if they want to hear that that special intro we had commissioned from Fiverr for Brian today.
00:03:26
Speaker
Yeah, I'm followed, bro. It just pops up on my phone. I'm like, ooh, yeah. Another podcast. Give me that sweet, sweet podcast. Ooh. Right into my veins. Oh, and it dropped at 11 PM. Ooh. I got to get up and listen to it in bed. Oh, yeah. Hey, you know, um that means Jeff was posting it at 1 AM. m So he's really the the song and the unsung hero. Yeah, and i I got to reward that effort. Listen to it immediately. That's right.
00:03:57
Speaker
Jeff, how do you go to sleep after the, uh, you know, getting so amped from posting? Like, don't you just refresh to look for any downloads and listens? Yeah, just, just go get Zencaster as my homepage everywhere to see yeah how we're doing. Yeah. How we hit 12 yet.
00:04:15
Speaker
Once we hit 12, no need to refresh after 12. That's pretty much it. Now you gotta, you know, Yeah, that was the main reason.

Fantasy Football Chatter

00:04:26
Speaker
I told some friends tonight that was the main reason that we added two teams to the league was to get two more listeners each week. Right. No. You know, it makes sense to organically grow the the podcast. We just keep adding teams to the league. It really does. You know, we're ever going to sell this shit to Spotify. We're going to have to have the first million team league.
00:04:52
Speaker
That's everyone is a team in this league. That's great. Uh, Q and C number two waivers galore. Yeah. Uh, I didn't put that one on there, but I answered it. Um, the only fab offer this week, uh, was for, um, Russell Wilson, uh, Brian offered $2 and, uh, beat Andy. How much did I offer?
00:05:20
Speaker
do I think zero dollars. Zero, zero, zero. Brian, I hope it works out for you. Thanks for Calamari as the ESPN automated closed captioning ah translates every time ah around the horns. Tony reality says Kyler Murray. kalamari Thank you very much. I probably spent too much money on him.
00:05:48
Speaker
Right. I mean, would you pay? I mean, I talked to him, so I would agree. So you would agree. Yeah, I'm surprised trade offers didn't come my way. But, know you know, I think, some I think some trade offers went out with him, but I, I had given up on him at, uh, at a certain point. And I was like, I had some people I wanted to grab instead. It's like, you know what, I'm just going to do it. I'm going to tear the band-aid off. I heard it's been 47 games since he had back to back wins.
00:06:17
Speaker
Not that wins matter in fantasy football, but you know hey um Anyone see the links get screwed ah By the By the Liberty Yes, I did and and Cody watched it all with us. I'm i'm feeling some Minnesota love from from your brother-in-law Brian. Yes. Yeah, I agree. I sports now that he's one of us. One of us.
00:06:52
Speaker
I don't know. I i don't know. he's He's my sports guy. Well, him and bring you. Right. mean i My in laws. That's right. That's right. That's who I go to with my sports questions. He's really taking in the Minnesota aura ah with his performance this year in the and the fantasy league. it's very It's very Minnesota, Minnesota nice. Yeah, that's true. Definitely.
00:07:22
Speaker
You know? Definitely. Number four, we are at the midpoint of the season. Oh, God. That's terrifying. Yeah. So far, Andy, I am four and three against the median. You are one and six against the median. Are we going to get personal? I like the first part of that. I'm happy for you. but I can be happy for you in a vacuum. I can be happy for you in respect of others. I'm just letting the loopsters know where you and I are on median score so they can predict for themselves if median score will be around next year.
00:07:58
Speaker
Valid, valid. Yep. ah The NBA, DX, FOGS-AKE, and KOSNUG haven't spent any of their fab yet. um Stay tuned to see how many of those three teams are in the playoff picture.
00:08:14
Speaker
Right. Uh, Barkley sack up and Ram has the most moves so far with 25. And what's my AJ again? Um, 18. That was, um, as of 10 43 AM m central time today. Only 18. It feels like more than that. Yeah.
00:08:35
Speaker
Yeah, me too. This is a good time to point out that there's a maximum of 75 roster moves per season now. So, spend them wisely. Use them or lose them. Andy. Yes. Burn through those puppies. That's a good way to look at it. Burn and burn. That's right. And that's been it for Q's and C's.

Vikings vs Lions Game Recap

00:08:54
Speaker
Next up we have the meal or minute. Andy, tell me when you're ready with the timer.
00:09:00
Speaker
Jeffrey, you have a lot of text here, so listeners, now's the time to set your Spotify to 0.5. 0.5. The only minute will start in three, two, one.
00:09:19
Speaker
All right, I was on the road. I had to listen for some reason or another. I heart app didn't work for me. So I was listening on the YouTube stream or YouTube TV stream and ah the TV, the TV announcers were extremely pro lions. And anytime anything good happened for the lions, the crowd noise was like immense. Like the whole place was going nuts for the lions.
00:09:43
Speaker
and Halfway through my drive, I heart ah i tried out a hardy game because i I felt better about not watching. but yeah yeah anyway All of a sudden that crowd noise went away. So I was impressed. First quarter, 10 nothing Vikings. Second quarter, 21 nothing Lions. Third quarter, seven, seven each. Fourth quarter, 12 to three Vikings for a two point loss. 10 seconds. Uh, Vikings got that, that fourth quarter touchdown or fourth quarter field goal, Lions punt, Vikings field goal, and then of Lions field the goal for the win.
00:10:22
Speaker
And that's been the viewer minute. Thank you, Jeffrey. Wow, that saves us a lot of time. Brian, now you don't have to go back and watch the replay, Brian. Thank you, Sarah. You're completely caught up. I'm sure you could repeat that entirely. Missed seven of my bullet points, but hey, not bad. Hey, thanks for writing them. Maybe there's a place we can share the the extended cut.
00:10:49
Speaker
I'll text him the thunker and see if you'll put him in thunk only. Please. That's the most efficient way to handle this. yeah If you send this as a text message to the thunker, it's going to be like one out of 60, maybe more. How many characters is it? Like, you know, if you get a text that's a chapter long. It comes through. The text messages not just come like, I can text like, like my I can text on my computer nowadays. So like I i don't even think about the 250 characters. I guess it's MMS versus SMS, right? Yeah. Okay. Well, let's hope he has both of them. Yeah. He seems tech savvy. Oh, he's more than tech savvy.
00:11:38
Speaker
He's got an Xbox series X. Do any of us? I don't think so. He probably invented MMS. I'm going to go edit the Wikipedia right now to say that he did. Hey guys, this is Cameron calling. It's Friday. I'm at the movies, but I have a few thoughts on my matchup this week.
00:12:01
Speaker
Tom is really running away with it this year. After last night, he had no kicker and, and was still projected to beat me. exactly It's just not my year I had a a plus or something draft, but just things aren't going my way With Cody Craig in the league. I don't think I'm at risk of having to keep the skullster or anything, but I Don't know. I just got to turn it around somehow Yeah,
00:12:28
Speaker
yeah I'm gonna wrap this up soon But I just think it's crazy that Tom is gonna beat me with Geno Smith in his lineup my own backup QB that i was forced to swap for a bi-week kicker. A real tragedy if you ask me. Well that's all I got. Hey next up we got a very special segment. It's called
00:12:59
Speaker
Hey, now's the time to turn your speed back up to glorious 1.0.
00:13:08
Speaker
Otherwise that five questions vocoder sounded especially scary. Yeah, I don't know why it's so goofy today. Does it need a new battery? I just put new batteries in it. It could just be that sold trusty vocoders, not so trusty anymore.
00:13:27
Speaker
but also old. It is. yeah Hey Brian, so thanks for thanks for being on the show. Let's call this one third time's the charm. You got six questions to choose from. Have you decided which one to eliminate? Yeah. Kicking the music question. But you love music.
00:13:47
Speaker
But I don't feel guilty about it. I got no guilt in my musical enjoyment, in my eclectic taste. I refuse at my age to feel guilty about what gets me going. Wow.
00:14:01
Speaker
ballot Sometimes, uh, I don't know if it's guilty or just goofy, but I listen, I listen to, uh, our band from high school and, um, I feel a little like, you know, like if I'm cranking that and especially like, if I'm listening to, uh, to like, uh, a massive drum solo from Andy, I'm like, you know, I could just call him up and ask him to play it for me live.
00:14:29
Speaker
Very nice. Dude, okay, that that's out last time. I have been a while since I thought about that, but this this high school band is a little bit of a blind spot in my like history knowledge here. And I think you guys need to do like like one of these weeks when you don't have a guest. I want you guys to do like a band history episode for me.
00:14:55
Speaker
Thanks, Brian. Play some samples. Appreciate that. I need to be exposed. Okay. Now, first you're grabbing players. Now you want to be exposed. but Let's get to five questions. Brian, you chose you chose one to eliminate. We're also going to let you choose one to start with. Where do you want to begin?

Brian's Personal Interests and Anecdotes

00:15:14
Speaker
Oh, I don't know. Hit the random button for me. I didn't think that far ahead. I can't remember what they are. if You got to give them to me. What's your favorite random social media wormhole? Oh, yeah. ah Applied self-defense strategies.
00:15:32
Speaker
Is what I've gotten into recently and because I I i have done a lot of and a lot but I've done my share of like martial arts and and Combat ish sports in the past but ah recently I've got into like some a bunch of the youtubers who are more like applied self-defense and like weapons training and stuff like that that I know nothing about and I Anyways, it got me to this guy who put together the Ultimate Self-Defense Championship, and um it's freaking sweet. he like he He's like a fairly like small-time YouTuber, which is like is ah and he does it all himself. like He still does all his own editing and stuff, and it's like, ooh, much respect to like somebody for just like putting this together. not
00:16:25
Speaker
when they're not like backed by some big company or something. But he invited up like a bunch of other YouTubers. They did like a week in a house together in um like Australia and set up these challenges in local gyms where they were like putting themselves in various like self-defense situations and recording it live and am like going for it full speed. And it varies from everything from like knife defense to like hiding from attackers and trying to get out of a building and um situational awareness and stuff like it's is super fun to watch and they've done like two seasons of it now highly recommended we're gonna need you to share a link on the ah podcast channel after this episode drops i will do that thanks brian brian do you have a litmus test television show
00:17:22
Speaker
Yes, it would have to be The Office. It's the is' ah much like ah much like Cody's answer. It was it was the the the show that my wife and I watched all the way through. ah yeah we We were watching it went back when it was on like actual network television. It was like the one show that we would actually like tune in to watch.
00:17:47
Speaker
And then and we actually have like all the DVDs on our shelf and everything. So yeah, we're we're office nerds and Yeah, that's the classic you didn't You didn't just get those DVDs from Netflix back in the day, rip them onto a hard drive and have that hard drive somewhere in your house, but you're not sure if you actually have the right cords to connect it to anything anymore. You you got the actual disks. No. We got the actual disks. Yeah. Cool.
00:18:18
Speaker
hey You know there's like five offices, Brian, so which country's office? The US, the US version, which is the only one that I've watched. i i I've been somewhat tantalized by maybe trying some of the, like like even just the original you know British version, but I don't think I can take it. Like, you know, it's like you have the one that you like and then you're gonna like just try like a slightly different flavor of it. Like, I don't know. I don't know if it'd go well.
00:18:49
Speaker
So stick to what I like. So at the end of the office, does it end when they meet the mother or? um
00:19:00
Speaker
Next question. yeah Favorite or ideal USA vacation spot? Oh, yes. um So i'll I'll take this to pitch.
00:19:14
Speaker
uh the olympic peninsula and uh specifically olympic national park to all my uh all our you know national listeners here um uh yeah it's uh It's a great place. I grew up camping there with my family a lot. There's um like hot springs, there's beaches, there's mountains, there's a temperate rainforest. It's like a very diverse ah
00:19:46
Speaker
ah place in a fairly small area and like I remember like when I was little like we we spent I don't know two or three weeks camping just ah along the Olympic Peninsula and and you know moving around every couple days um and you know it's not that big so you can just you can there's so many different places to explore and it's It feels, you know, very untouched compared to, you know, being closer into the cities and stuff. So it's, I don't know, it's a really nice place. How far is it from where you are now?
00:20:29
Speaker
Um, a couple hours. It's, uh, I don't know the word like two hours from Seattle, but so if you go up to, or no, three, we're about three hours south of Seattle. And then basically if you go up.
00:20:44
Speaker
three hours but then and then head west instead of instead of you know slightly east and following the freeways if you if you take the the coastal highway know west. ah or Or instead of taking the freeway at and at all, you really just head out to 101 on the coast as like an hour from us and then just head north on 101 and that you know that'll take you up and around the whole peninsula.
00:21:12
Speaker
wow It's a really nice place. Yeah, it looks pretty massive. Thanks, Brian. Yes. We will all visit within the next year. Well, you're going to visit as soon as you guys hit the road. You're coming up here. And I know Bryn's got some places for you to hit. And we'll take you on the tour. That's a challenge and challenge accepted.
00:21:42
Speaker
bre Brian, um we have two questions left. One very serious and one completely non-serious. Do you want the serious or the non-serious question? i I know which one I'm most serious about. So you want the non-serious one to start? Yes. Okay. Surprising movie you've never seen.
00:22:05
Speaker
is I think I'm gonna go with any of the like original Star Trek movies. One through six. One through six. I have not seen any of those movies. Okay. I know. Do we let them take all six or do we make... I don't know. I mean, I can just claim Star Trek, but just the first one, if that...
00:22:34
Speaker
Yeah, but no, can you can you name a Star Trek movie other than Star Trek The Motion Picture? Wrath of Khan. Do you know which one that was? No, I don't. it's ah Isn't that like the third? I'm gonna guess third. No? The second? Fourth? Let's give Brian Star Trek two, Wrath of Wrath of Scott. I think, you know, he got close there.
00:23:01
Speaker
Three is the search for Spock, okay? Okay, all right. I just wrotetor i wrote i know of them, but I've never seen any of them. All right, all right. That was perfect for this setup. and do that brian I Brian, I asked your sister, and she was kind enough to watch.
00:23:29
Speaker
four and six with me, which were the special ones for me growing up. Anyway. Nice. Because you're into whales. Yes. four Four is the one worth watching for you, Brian, because they they go to modern day San Francisco. And it's got a lot of those great fish out of water moments nice where they don't they're trying to figure out how the world is. you know When the movie came out, it's great.
00:23:59
Speaker
next And then it has some really really weird whale stuff. I think I've heard about that one. yeah Brian, so that is this a serious question? This is the serious one. You put the most thought into this one. Absolutely. Readily apparent. Absolutely. Jeff. I've been waiting for this since episode one.
00:24:23
Speaker
Okay, so since we know that you've been watching these applied self-defense strategies videos, so um what is the largest animal you could knock out with one punch? um So I'll preface this with my thought process.
00:24:38
Speaker
yep So i'm the the way the question was phrased and has been discussed is very specific to one-punch knockout. So we're really not talking about a fight and we're not talking about yeah yeah about like a fair fight. We're not talking about um you know a specific situation. ah this is This is just straight up like physical ability. right
00:25:12
Speaker
and you could sneak up on an alligator yeah yeah but i couldn't knock out an i'm not gonna go i i could not knock out an alligator because you know what like a knockout is the brain rattling around inside your skull hard enough to to lose consciousness yeah and the dudes who are the hardest to knock out are the the guys who are built like tree stumps and, you know, I have massive neck muscles and stuff to hold their head in place. And, you know, and so um I started thinking about like, what what animal, like what what animal is the opposite of that, but is also like big and has a long neck
00:26:01
Speaker
and a beady little head. Like I just knocked the fuck out of it. Yeah. I'm gonna, I'm gonna knock out an ostrich. Oh, wow. Yeah. Calling it right now. With that, that, that was shut up. I was like, he's going to go with a giraffe. Yeah. Well, see, I couldn't reach a giraffe, but I don't, i you know, for that matter, I don't know if I could reach rich an ostrich's head either.
00:26:30
Speaker
But dude, um I looked at a male. Oh, dang. Yeah, I don't know if I could reach an ostrich's head either. but Maybe I should have looked at this. Give me a stool and I will knock out an ostrich. ah Males are six to nine feet tall. Wow. Males can weigh up to 220 to 287.
00:26:52
Speaker
Yeah. But, but, but I'm saying that, that, that head, that ostrich head is like, like on a tee, just set up for you. Just like one, one clean punch. I, I could knock that out. Despicable. Thank you, Brian. That's been this week's episode of installment of, Jeff, do we have any callers? We do. We do. Let's check this caller out quick.
00:27:21
Speaker
Hey, I just got done listening to the most recent episode and boy, it's great to hear from that master. Real happy that he's doing well and that he' he's in our league this year. I think that's pretty neat. I didn't realize that he could do fantasy football with his like frontier lifestyle and all that. Yeah. All right. Well, cool. Thank you caller. Yes, they do have fantasies in the frontier land. Obviously.
00:27:49
Speaker
It's time for, as we are 27 minutes in, it's time for one thing.

Fantasy League Recap and Standings

00:27:58
Speaker
e We've got to make this one quick, Andy. First matchup is titanium house versus kill the wounded. Andy, I noticed the titanium house added alloy this week, and I'm thinking that alloy might be Lamar Jackson. So it's a titanium Jackson alloy, probably. Lamar Jackson had the highest score of the week last week, and he is leading all fantasy football in points so far this season.
00:28:25
Speaker
Wow, it was it was slim pickings for Matt, but he still played the the wrong wide receiver, though it wouldn't have had helped anyway. I wish we had any idea how Matt Maxo was feeling about it, but it doesn't look like we had any calls, did we, Jeff? No, no, but um that number is easy to remember and hard to forget.
00:28:48
Speaker
Yes, I've never forgotten it. I have it somewhere in my brain. Yeah. 6-1-2. Yes. 2-9-3. 6-6-3-5. 3-5-3. See, we said it at the same time. Exactly. Next up, it hurts when I pee. Also, it's time to recap. It hurts when I pee versus Steelhouse.
00:29:11
Speaker
Jeff. Jeff, you want to kick things off? Yeah, I got a quick one, Andy. Miami's offense has really been holding down a whole lot of teams this year. um Raheem Mostert is running back 78 right now. I counted two things. How many things did you count there, Brad? One and a half. You should see the script. There's 12. Mom and Dad are fighting. There's a one and a half.
00:29:39
Speaker
Of all the winners this week, Tom left the most points on the bench, including three count three touchdowns. It's the kind of thing that will get him banned from the league if he keeps this shit up. I'm not i'm not jealous. You're jealous. It's true. I'm jealous. um The next matchup, Andy, ah is the walking wounded versus what's my AJ again.
00:30:03
Speaker
oh Local boy. Local, yeah. Hey, Brian, you're surging right now. Great time to win against Jared and against the median this week. And now you are over 500. Yeah. Yeah, Brian, you haven't lost any games that you could or should have won. And trust me, I've been keeping track. What is your secret?
00:30:30
Speaker
uh, feast or famine on this team. Like I had, I've had weeks where I'm like, dang, look like killer. And then the next week is like, Oh, they all slept this weekend. So, um, it's all or nothing. Right. Well, you're over 500. Um, you're definitely over 300. And, uh, I think it's time for a brief break to get some water.
00:31:24
Speaker
Yeah. And we're back. Brian, did you recognize any of that? Never heard of it. Do you want to go back and answer that question about guilty pleasure band or performer? It makes me feel a little guilty.
00:31:43
Speaker
okay Yes. I haven't busted that one out in a while. What college was that? No, that was high school. Oh, that was high school? Yeah. High school. Spotify is amazing. G-H-H-S.
00:32:02
Speaker
and i won't harm Hey, it's Kamen again. Speaking of Cody Craig, whenever I hear his name, I can't help but picture two kids in a trench coat trying to buy beer. Anybody else think that? It's like, nice try, boys, but I'm going to need to see some ID. Anyways.
00:32:23

Next up, we got Oheimark versus Tenetenba. This was a conference showdown. Showdown, showdown, showdown. Jeffrey? Yeah. Dalton didn't look so great, and then he had a car accident on Tuesday, andy so he's going to be out this week. Oh, that's terrible. Yeah. Okay, yeah, I saw him dropped in the league. I didn't know why. He hurt his thumb.
00:32:48
Speaker
Ecom, this was the this was the only perfect game this week. Nice work. Especially good because it came via a win. Congratulations. Yeah. Going going into this matchup, Andy. The conference had to had was three to three. Coming out, it is four to three. Expect to lose to us. Wow.
00:33:10
Speaker
You're pulling ahead. You've pulled ahead. Pulled ahead. Past tense. Yeah. Next up, we got ouch. We we really really want to go here. Barclays. You could get this one if you want. No. No. Sack up and ram versus yellow jackets in the conference grudge match. So we're at four and three to loose. And now, what would what would happen here, Jeff?
00:33:39
Speaker
ah Andy aced me out on Chase McLaughlin two weeks ago and I was pretty worried about that going into this week. um That kicker battle between he and I, I pulled it off by two points and without those two points I would have only won by 20 points.
00:33:55
Speaker
um let's Let's see who had their worst games of the season this week on my lineup. Devontae Smith and Devin Singletary. Second worst games, Christian Watson, Chase McLaughlin, Marvin Harrison Jr. All of these guys were in my lineup. You know who had the most points of the season?
00:34:16
Speaker
that was Yeah, my my keeper, Rashad White, who was playing from my bench. image So, you know, ah more on this later. That's all I got to say. Emphasis on, more on. But the conference had a kind conference head is now five to three after this one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Next up we have Kuznog versus DX Fuggsake. This is a conference bad blood duel.
00:34:47
Speaker
I know all that bad blood between Zach and Kurt came to a head here, Andy. Yeah. So 5-3 going in. Yeah. 5-3 going in. Kurt decided to not bench Sam Darnold anymore. Oh, and he benched Goff instead and Goff outscored Darnold by 5.14 points or 1.54 points, but I can read. You know, before we had the chef's kiss, we had the kiss of death.
00:35:18
Speaker
He went against the norm. Kurt, for what it's worth, you were the highest scoring loser of the week. Very strong running back performances, but your receiving core couldn't keep up. And if it helps, no one would have beaten Zach this week, so.
00:35:37
Speaker
You can put that in the under your pillow and smoke it. Helps me, and Brian. Yeah, I suppose. It really does. Lastly, we have the 501st versus my mama's wipes his ass. Yes, that's very descriptive.
00:35:55
Speaker
um I haven't thought about your mom wiping his ass. Brian, how many other teams have you named since you've been in this league? Oh, that's a good question. You should do some research there, but they've known a few times. Yeah, that's true. and That's true. Uh, so Jeff, yeah the floor is yours. Uh, I don't want to step on your award updates, Andy. Um, but I'm just going to remind Tim and Cody that they should make sure their lineups are optimized this week because they both have injured players in their lineups right now.
00:36:32
Speaker
Thank you, Jeff. Always looking out. Tim suffered his first coulda won even if my opponent played his best lineup situation. So sorry about that, Tim. sot If you just don't think about it too much, you'll still make the playoffs. That's my advice to you as someone who thinks about it way too much.
00:36:54
Speaker
I did forget to tell Cody. I can't trade him Keyon Coleman. He offered me a trade for Keyon Coleman and I have to keep Keyon because that's where my team name comes from, the Yellow Jackets. You have to keep Keyon your roster. Yeah, yeah got it because he wore a Yellow Jacket to his contract signing in July because he heard Buffalo was cold.
00:37:18
Speaker
That's good. yeah and he thought And he wanted Brian to watch season one. Yep, he's all about Brian watching season one. He's got a deal with Paramount. Brian, in ten words or less, how are you liking the show and do you have any shit to talk to Kamen about it?
00:37:37
Speaker
ah I'm loving it. It's right up my alley in terms of tone and I just want to see where it goes. I don't know. I would say rate and review five stars and subscribe because the podcast is awesome and I don't know why Kamen hates it so much. Yeah. but Screw you, Kamen. All right, next we got the awards tracking update six weeks in. That's still true. Seven weeks in. i Sorry about that. Hey, guys, we've got three updates here. One, worst manager. As a reminder, we're now awarding this team this to the team who could have but didn't
00:38:21
Speaker
you know, win the most additional head-to-head matchups. It's now a dead heat between Cody and yours truly, thanks to my efforts this week, leaving 30 point, it doesn't matter, 30 and change on the bench. And that's that, that's the bottom line. Next up, closest loss, Jeff.
00:38:45
Speaker
This one was rough, man. We have a new leader in the closest match. This this one was decided by seven, one hundredths of a point. That's ah that's gonna be on number pretty hard to beat by anybody. um Runner, yeah runner up was decided by 1.47. So that's, I mean, that's that's crazy. Congrats, Tim. Doesn't look like that stat correction will take that $10 out of your cold dead hands.
00:39:17
Speaker
Yeah, I wrote Cold Icy. Sorry about that. That's a bit redundant. Good change on the fly, Jeff, as always. bonus Bonus award. We got overmatched. New leader last week. Last week it was Jeff with the most points against. But this week it's Matt who has the most points against with 825. Next closest is now Zach, so...
00:39:44
Speaker
You guys have better get your start getting your opponents real fired up if either of you want to pocket this Alexander Hamilton. Love how he played you and just took him right off the list.
00:39:59
Speaker
it Uh, sorry. Jeff. The playoff picture update, Andy. Um, the little Lebowski's urban achievers, uh, at the top still, Tom first place overall. Thunker is in second place and second place overall. That's a plus two on the week. Uh, Kuznuk is in eighth place overall. He's new to the top four in your, in your division.
00:40:23
Speaker
Oh, hi Mark is 10th overall now in fourth place near division and that is three point three places lower than he was last week in the expect to lose to us um Division Tim is In first place third place overall. He's moved down one spot ecom is in second place fourth place overall down one spot and Kurt is in fifth place overall, third place for us, and um that's one spot lower than he was last week. And then Jared is in fourth place, sixth place overall, one spot down as well. Thank you, Jeffrey. You still have only two teams over 500, just a quick reminder. Oh, wow.
00:41:09
Speaker
I appreciate that if you can write that on the outline next time so I can cross it off and delete it yep and make sure that you don't say that shit to me again. Any any other final thoughts from Brian? Brian?

Brian's New Business Venture

00:41:25
Speaker
um Not really. Thanks for joining us today, Brian. Jeff, we don't need any more thoughts from you. And please, you guys, make sure you like and subscribe. Like and subscribe to Adjust Your Drive. 00:42:04
Speaker
Okay, um that could have been covered at the top of the hour. Well, well I was waiting for a good spot. ah but and so it adjust um drive is one fly we're gonna hey this We're gonna have to change our outro music, Andy. We're gonna have to come up with something different.
00:42:23
Speaker
I guess we will. Yeah. Okay. Because, uh, I have a new venture. Welcome to Bromley home improvement, LLC. Wow. but I got a business card and everything. but Is that a hard nail? It is. are you goingnna Wow. Are you going to make videos of you fixing things too? I am actually i'm actually editing my first one right now. I did an IKEA hack where I um i took ah an like an IKEA shelf and cut the corner off and basically like put a 45 degree corner on it so that I can fit it into someone's closet with an angled roof line.
00:43:08
Speaker
and And I had searched around, you know, IKEA hack videos are big online, but I had not seen someone do like this exact modification. So I was like, yeah, I'll video what I'm doing. So yeah, and i'm I'm just starting to at least put up some some photos and video of what I've been up to and pretty cool start start building a little little bit of an online resume. Wow.
00:43:38
Speaker
Do you have the social medias for this then? I've got a Facebook ah page for for me. What are you, 50? Yeah. Well, ah to to be more clear, I'm I'm looking for a certain clientele that may be on Facebook looking for a nice, clean-looking young boy who would come you know hang their photos and fix their drain. I don't know. So it's just pictures of Azura in a tool belt.
00:44:19
Speaker
Yeah, so that's that's definitely on the list. Or you're going to shave your face if you want to sell yourself as a clean looking young boy. No, no, no. I don't want to be that young. If he shaves his face, he's like yeah that people are going to be like, oh, that's a serial killer. Yeah, right. Yeah, this is this is Pacific Northwest clean, young.
00:44:43
Speaker
