Kevin and Fritz unpack the complicated landscape of collegiate athletics with Adam [https://www.instagram.com/adamgoucher/?hl=en] and Kara [https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/nobody-asked-us-with-des-kara/id1664629953] Goucher, prominent NCAA Division 1 collegiate and professional long-distance runners, track and field Olympians, and advocates for clean sport. Now, Adam (a current high school track and field coach) and Kara (NBC analyst and commentator, Brooks Running Ambassador, and co-host of the Nobody Asked Us podcast) have a front row seat to the new reality in college athletics that allows student-athletes to monetize their Name, Image. and Likeness and transfer without limitations. And they are not at all shy with us about how this all creates slippery slopes, unintended consequences, and outright problems that blur the lines between student and athlete.

Gettin' Stuff Done in Higher Education

There are plenty of higher ed podcasts out there, but most focus on broad trends, big headlines, or surface-level commentary. What’s often missing are the authentic voices of the people who actually move things forward on campus every day.

That’s why Fritz Vandover, Kelvin Bentley, and Kevin Shriner created the GSD Podcast. Collectively, we bring more than 80 years of lived experience across teaching, administration, policy, technology, and leadership. We’ve built programs, sat in cabinet meetings, navigated layoffs, and wrestled with the realities of enrollment cliffs, accreditation, and innovation fatigue.
