Kit Marie and Regan Mudhar chat about the power of music to evoke emotion, diversity and inclusion initiatives at the Royal Meteorological Society, PhD research into how Arctic warming is changing weather patterns and more!
After doing an MSci in physics with astrophysics in Bristol, Regan worked in finance for a couple of years. But they returned to academia in 2021, looking at the so-called “stratospheric pathway” and its far-flung influences on mid-latitude climate and weather extremes for their PhD. When Regan is not sitting behind a laptop, you can find them sharing science with the public around Exeter and beyond – including supporting the RMetS as their science engagement fellow for youth and early careers since June 2023.
