Special #ClimateAmbassdors mini-series! Learn more about the scheme and get to know each of the England regional teams. Joining Kit Marie from the London hub is Annie Risner. Being connected to the sea, keeping fit using aerial hoops, working with Early Years settings and more!
Annie was born in London and grew up in Kent, where she spent most of her childhood in the sea, the woods or her garden. As a kid Annie had a big map of the world on her wall and would pinpoint all the places that she wanted to visit - none of which she has managed to go to! Annie did end up living in five countries though and working in a range of jobs from free-diving fisherwoman to professional actress. She studied Geography and Middle Eastern studies as a joint degree between The School of Oriental and African Studies and Kings in London before moving to Berlin and came back to London to study a Master’s at UCL in climate change which lead her to the work she is doing now.
