AngryMike: There were some positives, no doubt, but, you know, some of the things that hurt Green Bay last year, their offensive line, not finishing games, a lot of that. that That old cliche of of how Green Bay performed kind of reared its ugly head again week one. so um obviously trying to find a silver lining here but it's pretty tough to find that

N D: I think it's a ton of things that happened on Sunday. Um, Obviously, every time I mention the Bears won, they're like, well, look who you played. And I said, well, look who the Packers played. And then they got to be quiet, but.

N D: Yeah, ooh, boom. No, but... I think Packers. Are a better team than the Vikings? But... Yeah, a lot of things went wrong for the Packers in that second half. and I don't know can you recoup from that?
AngryMike: Yeah, it's kind of like...

AngryMike: Yeah, it's kind of like what Robert Salas said a couple a couple years ago, right? if you If you can drag or if you can pull the... the Packers into deep water. they'll they can't swim you know and it's it's the same thing there it's just as soon as that

AngryMike: Those points were taken off the board. and i you know i I agree with with Matt LaFleur. At that point, you know he had a chance to go up two scores. um I didn't like the play call at all. um i know Jordan Love ah had two options, and he picked that option. but You know, ah how do they not tush push that? Or I know they've used like a goal line handoff to Tucker k Craft, you know, and I i would try.
AngryMike: Prost. Tucker Kraft to get a yard if if he had a clean handoff. But with that offensive line, I i was just flabbergasted by that that choice of play. just how unimaginative it was.
AngryMike: And then. On the flip side of that, it was just ah a clown car or a clown show. just the the three penalties that, you know, we we can talk about that till we're blue in the face, but.
AngryMike: um it It was just a calamity of errors that... lined up and that it was like a repeat of the playoff game against the Bears. It was just embarrassing.
N D: What? And we're we're all three of us aren't 80 years old. So in our lifetime. This has never really happened to the Green Bay Packers. We've never seen.
N D: A panic button hit. Because you had Rodgers and Favre.
AngryMike: Yeah, absolutely.
N D: He went on to the next week and got a big win.

N D: But I said, this is kind of uncharted water for the. The Packers here and and fans are. kind of relying on, hey, we're going to be fine, just like we were when Rodgers was here, Favre was here.

AngryMike: Also, I remember a few years ago, Green Bay played the Saints in Jacksonville when there was a hurricane that rolled through, and they lost by 30 points to a Jameis Winston -led team. so

AngryMike: I think they ended up 13 and four of that year.
KTS with Decker, Dix and Angry Mike: Yeah.
AngryMike: So I know we want to overreact, but.

AngryMike: um I think what makes Green Bay. fans crash a little bit harder is the things we talked about in the offseason that we thought would be bad, like the off offensive of a line. um We felt um you know we couldn't finish games and the whole mantra the entire offseason from the green bay coaching staff was we're going to focus on finishing games and here we go week one it's almost like a nightmare came true again you know so

AngryMike: if they can Play against the Jets. I think there will be some moments against the Jets where Green Bay fans will get a little panicky. Even if you're up 21 -3, like Bear of fans like to tell me. And nothing feels safe anymore until Green Bay can start finishing some of these games out.

I think the right quarterback was in there to lead them to that. victory as we talked yesterday you know had jj mccarthy been in there he would have been trying to like overproduced and he would have probably thrown like four or five interceptions.

AngryMike: um but You know, Carson Wentz, I think I posted right after Carson Wentz went in. I go, I think the Vikings have a better chance of winning with Carson Wentz. And then he then he came back and made some th throws. but The only difference between this year and last year that was a little bit different is the Green Bay defense actually played very, very well. i mean that The Vikings, I think, averaged three yards of play.
AngryMike: so You know, when you get the ball on the one in the four -yard line, I mean, those are pretty good starting positions for the offense. So I think overall the defense was okay without Parsons.
KTS with Decker, Dix and Angry Mike: Right, right
AngryMike: Last year they were trash. um I really think. you know There's some positives that came out of the game, especially with Matthew Golden and and Christian Watson. and And Tucker came out of the game healthy, too. so

AngryMike: I think there's some positives too that people need to look at.

N D: Well, in total yards, I think Packers are over 400. Vikings are at... 240 or something like that. So It was kind of a lopsided ball game offensively. But...

AngryMike: I was i was enamored. You know, I've been I've been critical of of Caleb Williams, you know, just. you know for his inaccuracies but

AngryMike: yeah Yeah, yeah. I like him a little bit more than others did, I think.

AngryMike: i I always said, you know, everyone wants to compare Love to Williams, and I think they're just two totally different quarterbacks.
N D: Yeah.
AngryMike: Um, But. you know williams looked fantastic and so did the bears ah offense i think the running game is just Fantastic. and The off offensive line is really, really good still, even with losing Dahlman, I think. Bradbury did a... a sufficient job but The rest of that team is just.
AngryMike: on ah offense is great. The defense, not so much. but The offense was fantastic, and that can cover a lot of deficiencies on the defense.
KTS with Decker, Dix and Angry Mike: Right. Just outscore them. That's what we talked about yesterday. and I'm with you, Mike. when you when they mentioned or When they said Ben Johnson's the new head coach, I was like... Shoot.
