Speaker: Hello and welcome to the PDA Society podcast. This is a safe space where we talk about all things PDA, which as you should probably know stands for Pathological Demand Avoidance, a profile on the autism spectrum.
Speaker: Our aim is to help everyone better understand PDA, what it means for the people who live with this profile of autism and how families, friends and professionals can offer the right kind of support.
Speaker: In each episode, you'll hear from PDA people, parents and carers and professionals who bring research, clinical expertise and lived experience.
Speaker: Together, we'll explore the challenges, share practical strategies and highlight what really helps so that life can feel calmer, safer and more connected.
Speaker: Every episode comes in two parts. The first part is freely available on YouTube and wherever you usually listen to your podcasts. The second part is a deeper dive into the topic and is available exclusively on our training hub where we explore the issues in more detail and share additional tools and resources.
Speaker: Whether you're a PDA yourself, a family member or a professional working alongside PDA people, We hope you'll feel supported, understood and encouraged here.
Speaker: So from all of us at the PDA Society, welcome. We hope you'll find this podcast both useful and uplifting.
