I will say, so we just, kind we just came from recording book club where we just read a contemporary YA book that Sam hated. Yeah. i didn't hate, but I definitely did not love.

But I'm also a mood reader. And when I can't get into the ones that I'm trying to read and I'm We talked about this before. I don't DNF books. It has to be like an extreme reason that I DNF. I would use a palate cleanser and my palate cleansers are either a contemporary romance, which makes zero sense.

And if you've ever read Stephen King, you know people either love or hate him because he will describe one blade of grass in 60 pages. Like that is probably one of my favorite like gothic horror books I've read in a while. T. Kingfisher is up there on my favorites, does a fantastic gothic horror.

The Good House by Tananarive Du. This is horror. I have read other like one other book by her called The Reformatory. 10 out of 10 recommend anything by her at this point because they are so well written. They are such diverse. They're POC the main characters or POC driven, I guess is what I'm trying to say.

Just kidding if you haven't. But love them. Ice Nine Kills is one of my favorites and their newest song, Twisting the Knife, has been on repeat on my playlist and it is a beautiful. For a horror-based metal band, this song is very soft and just beautiful. so It would be a great intro if you wanted to listen to them. Artemis put out a new album and it's absolutely beautiful. And then I found this artist by accident. And I don't know if you've heard of her, Sam, but her name is Esme Rose. She's very like bluesy, country, kind of bluegrass-y. But her style, first of all, is just beautiful. And she's witchy.

His family is a complete shit show and his sister gets him wrapped up in major crimes by stealing a necklace from like essentially a mob i'm not 100 sure if they're like italian or russian because it kind of goes back and forth a little bit and one of the guys is turkish even so yeah who fucking knows but like essentially they just get wrapped up into like mob crimes where they they owe this mob all these favors and so they just get these phones that they have to answer at any given time or they're like

I love that part of one of the first few episodes where they're already involved with like the mob situation and they give them like a stack of money and they're like, go um like essentially to rent this apartment, but they didn't know they were renting the apartment. They thought they were buying drugs. And it was so funny. um Yeah, that show was really good. I love it because he's like a priest. So he's like, yeah.
