When I spoke to my wonderful guest, Tree Carr, I was set on opening up the conversation around two topics that have permeated our lives for over a year now - dreams and death. The latter, so often discussed in hushed tones, reduced to numbers slapped across our screens, and in my opinion, deserved its own episode for that very reason.
I hesitated on releasing this episode but as I suffered the loss of a family member earlier this week, it felt right to share it with the world just about now.
As a certified Death Doula, Tree's work involves helping people spiritually, emotionally, existentially and practically at the end of their lives by holding space for healing, peace, support and compassion during the profound and sacred time of death and dying.
Since our discussion revolved around consciousness, I feel this episode is important and necessary. Join us on this exploration of the concept of death, where our resistance and fear towards the subject stems from and why unpacking the feelings that arise around loss are essential for our healing.
