Speaker: Oh, yeah. Alright, Dale. I'm Victor Lane here.
Speaker: Hey, what's up y 'all? This is former NASCAR driver Bill Lester.
Speaker: The Brickyard belongs to Bubba! Wallace wins it in the... Unbelievable!
Speaker: This is NASCAR's Chief Hype Officer Mamba Smith You're listening to... Degree 25. But make no mistake, it's more history for Hamilton.
Speaker: Lewis Hamilton wins a Grand Prix for Ferrari. And to my family, I love you It's the fans. Thank you. Continue to remind me who I am.
Speaker: I'm Bob Pockers with Fox Sports. Let's make this victory. Let's go.
Speaker: I grabbed a cat. I sat on the floor next to her and I grabbed her tail. And I dunked it in the cup of water, just like this. And then I picked her up. All four legs were dangling. I just individually.
Speaker: dunked all of her limbs in the water and then she ran off and groomed herself and i went back to sleep and she didn't bother psychologically torturing his pets what is wrong with you it makes sense now why your cat's injuring itself it just wants to like it like it's it's creating self -harm there's tension in your household arthur and this is what's happening first of all this was like six years ago and we have not had an incident since so i think that is a lesson learned
Speaker: My goodness. He's just willingly putting this on the, like. No. You act like I yeah act like i pepper spray. If it's water on the feet, they'll be fine. Literally water on their feet. They'll be fine if they don't like that listen if they don't like that the door wide open I'm not even positive my cats would react to that.
Speaker: Genuinely. I tell you what they wouldn't do. They wouldn't cry at your daughter and mess up your sleep. That's what they wouldn't do. idiots swipe their tails across open candles they do not care Like...
Speaker: Not my house. Well, you can't go to everybody's house, man. That's what I'm learning here. Can't eat at everybody's house. Can't go to everybody's house. That's what I'm learning. I want everyone to know that this conversation started because Arthur told us that he shot.
Speaker: his well hang on let me know you see the slander you see how they try to slander and lie he uses a spray bottle with specifically a 30 foot range to spray his cats when they're misbehaving And that's the end of it. Power washing his pants.
Speaker: The power. That's crazy. That's what he's doing. That's why like I said that y 'all don't own your homes. That's the thing. I own my own. I might have to rent it but I own it.
Speaker: I told you I'm right where I want to be. You're going to hate my dogs. Whenever you stay over at Bristol, you're like. Peyton, why are these dogs jumping on me? Why have you not waterboarded them? cause if Well, see, a dog's different. A dog, you can hit them with that knee to the chin when they try to jump on you. What are we talking about? You're not about to jump up on my clothes, old boy. We gotta cut all of this. It's crazy. I didn't know we had Michael Vick on the show. my god It's just a defensive move. just hey Get back.
Speaker: No, just a little Just like, hey, I need my space. You're good with all four on the ground. I got no problem with you. He said four on the floor. You're going to hate my dogs. Well, listen, that's fine because now that you've warned me, I know what. household item to pack.
Speaker: He's got, what? I know. I now know what he's like. I now know to bring the Zep Professional Spray Bottle, 32 ounces. You can spray the dog too? Amen. Very bottom -rated for everyone. Hey, I welcome it.
Speaker: We need to eat for everybody. Come over and beat the shit out of my dogs. Oh, my God. Can we all escalate? Y 'all lose credibility by escalating it like that. See, that this furthers my cause.
Speaker: We need to roll the show. Welcome to another episode of Victory Lane Vibes, where your host is with the Moseses. I don't want PETA listening to this show. The views, points, and ownership. antics of these hosts are their own individuals and do not reflect 50 Lane Vibes LLC.
Speaker: It's Jared, it's Jer, it's Peyton, it's Art, it's Madeline. We are here after a triple header in Bristol. And speaking of triple headers. Why don't we just start the show, shall we? Of all three races that you viewed this weekend, which one was your favorite race?
Speaker: Madeline, you were there. You go first.
Speaker: they all kind of blurred together for me if i'm being really honest with you um I would say probably.
Speaker: The O 'Reilly race if I had I feel like the cup race was like not overly excited. exciting until after the fact.
Speaker: From. what I was feeling there. So I'd say the O 'Reilly race was probably the most. O 'Reilly or trucks. Definitely overcup if I had to pick.
Speaker: Uh, Peyton, also there. I'll tell you which one it wasn't. It wasn't that. monstrosity of a truck race. ah God, Lee, that was lousy. They couldn't do nothing.
Speaker: Nothing. Like the only thing that made that race interesting was just watching all of the front row trucks. Front Row Motorsports trucks just... implode. Because he had that race. one.
Speaker: And they just... So get rid of that. I would say from wire to wire. The O 'Reilly's race was the most entertaining. Those cars...
Speaker: We're really sporty. They really had a lot going on. You had good battles. You had good fights. You had drivers running over each other. So from top to bottom, that was really good.
Speaker: The cup race? I'm going to go and say it. That was probably the best non crazy wonky. Tire situation. next -gen race we've had at Bristol.
Speaker: Like that felt like an old school, traditional Bristol. Yeah. Cars would. You'd have... Some decent runs were. Guy would dominate. And...
Speaker: Then in the last 150 laps, like once that. Caution came out during the middle of the pit cycle It really opened things up. I would say still the biggest issue with that place, once they get both lanes going, you can get some passing going.
Speaker: but when it's all bottom lane They just can't even follow that close. Like, it's... It'll go conveyor belt for a while. But they just can't even get close to each other. but Yeah, the last the last.
Speaker: 100 laps that Cup race. made up for everything else. it I thought it was a really good race. the place felt. more full than... previous year.
Speaker: Still has a way to go to get back where it was 15 years ago, but... Yeah, I would say overall, if you went for just Friday and Saturday. You left a very happy camper.
Speaker: Alright. Yeah, I love the, the not the truck race, sorry, the cup race actually. i Thought it was a really good race. It felt like, to Peyton's point, at an old school race. It it didn't feel cheap.
Speaker: The cautions didn't feel cheap. And the way the stages were set up, it was long enough that you had a chance at some really good pit strategy at the end of the race. so Yeah, I mean I think this was One of the best.
Speaker: Short track races that the next gen has ever put out. um I can't say anything bad about it, honestly. I mean... This is one of those cases where in 2026 with this car this is like the best you can get and Hope for is it perfect. No, I still would like to see you be a a bit it be a bit easier for you to move someone off the bottom but Cut.
Speaker: minor gripe aside i thought this was a a plus race overall i really enjoyed it
Speaker: Cheer. Yeah, I mean not to be a broken record, but I think um For me, the truck race wasn't really bringing it for me this week.
Speaker: But when it comes to. the O 'Reilly race and the cup race. it It's kind of hard for me to choose between the two. I mean, the O 'Reilly race, we've got you know Sheldon Creed. that automatically makes me pretty happy and pretty much enjoy it i really am really enjoying this arc he's on this has been incredibly entertaining I think just a few weeks ago we were talking about like what if this happens and then here we are.
Speaker: It's happening. um So that's very entertaining. And then, yeah, I agree. The cup race, I think was just a really, really well executed and put together race from, you know. front to back was just incredibly like I think like beat to beat was just a really good entertaining race. I really enjoyed it.
Speaker: So yeah tie between those two Mm hmm. All right, Art, I'm going to need your help on this. You've got to fill in the blanks. Zero dollars in my pocket, bitch. I'm not a lick. I'd rather that than got to walk around with sticks.
Speaker: Because I've learned the hardest. He can always get. There you go. He can always get hit! I didn't know I didn't wear that. going.
Speaker: Oh yeah. I would play it, but I would feel like we'd get ah censored. Anywho, I reference that J. Cole lyric because... Did you enjoy the scrum between Karsian and Blaney?
Speaker: Question two. Peyton, back to you. Fisticuffs, it normally isn't your game. But did you enjoy the scrum?
Speaker: I enjoy the fact that. My entire timeline. Was wall -to -wall discussing this discussing the on -track confrontation between the two. the off of the track, everyone sort of reveling it.
Speaker: I would say that was the most entertaining part was getting a chance to be. Yo. Because that's on the backstretch where I was sitting. and exiting. So it was cool to be near that.
Speaker: Is it still cheap? Is it still... pro wrestling -esque. Yeah. But is that what you sort of come? to this sport for or short of expect. Yes, as well.
Speaker: This is this is the This is good for the sport this sort of stuff I think it cheapens it. Because... I said this is just wrestling type stuff, but...
Speaker: Hey. By hook or by crook, you you made it to with ESPN. so Good job everybody. Like I said, it was entertaining. as someone who's six foot five. You got to remember, that's ah that's a big advantage.
Speaker: gotta Gotta get in. the sphere of day. danger, you gotta just run and break that seal. And that's where Ryan Blaney messed up. If he's going to you know commit to getting into.
Speaker: Kerfuffle, you guys going to break that seal? just Tackle them, pocket sand, whatever you got to do. Don't fight clean. Fight to win, so. Hate that form. but Yeah. Good for the sport.
Speaker: pocket sand crazy Madeline. Did you enjoy? Let's scrub. I missed. it in like real time because I was too busy taking pictures of Joey Logano burnouts because I was not paying attention.
Speaker: And the next thing I know, everybody is running across to the other side of the track from where I'm currently standing. Carson hosts. I like, I will say I. Like. Peyton, I'm not sure if I actually enjoyed.
Speaker: the act of them fighting as much as I did like Standing in that infield. When they got into that fight. in the energy down there the energy in the crowd What? absolutely crazy.
Speaker: my phone was blowing up like every single person even people who don't watch nascar like watch IndyCar. were texting me they were like oh my god you were there did you see it were you watching the fight So like I think that's cool. I think I enjoyed that part.
Speaker: Out. I am. gonna defend Ryan Blaney's honor because if I see one more person acting like Carson Josevar knocked him on the ground and it was not Carson Josevar's pit crew and that security guard who knocked him to the ground.
Speaker: i'm gonna have an issue ryan didn't even get the chance to punch back he had people's arms wrapped around him from the second he got hit So I'm just going to defend Ryan's honor there. I know he's apologized and said he wants to be a good example to children, but.
Speaker: I personally enjoyed the fight, and i I'm glad someone finally...
Speaker: Did what they said they were gonna do about Carson because it's just been kind of annoying up until this point Like if Ryan would have said that in the med center and then really just walked up and had a conversation with him, I think it would have been a bummer.
Speaker: So. I'm glad somebody. was true to their words. for once.
Speaker: Jer.
Speaker: Yeah. it um and to madeline's point it felt like a bit of a correction like seeing somebody like see through it i guess um it's funny that when we have these conversations we're all like advocating for violence but um i'm here for it unfortunately um it I mean, it's a you know.
Speaker: High intensity sport. These guys say a lot of things. And to Madeline's point. it's a little bit like frustrating to or not frustrating that's the wrong word but it's kind of disappointing you know you get these drivers in the heat of the moment they're talking they're talking it up to Um,
Speaker: you know, the people interviewing them, they're saying all these things. And then. you know. They either don't go confront the person that they've just been yelling about on my television. um or they do go confront them and it's like a very polite like face -to -face chit chat of like hey man i really didn't like when you did that And like that's kind of how it fizzles out.
Speaker: Um, So it was, you know, good to see somebody be true to their word there. Sorry it had to be Blaney, I suppose. but i also you know i the way that nascar has handled this one has been really interesting because i think um,
Speaker: You know. It. the fight would have probably played out much differently had there not been people restraining Ryan from the get -go. i think there were just some poor choices there and i think um If NASCAR is going to use moments like this as.
Speaker: like marketing fodder, they should approach it differently. And so I think they are choosing to approach this one a little bit differently. So I do appreciate that. um You know you can't. push this on social media and push it on the internet and release it to yeah ESPN and all that stuff. And then come out two days later and slap like massive fines on these drivers who just put a ton of eyes on your sport. Like that's very much not fair. um But i it was some entertainment. I enjoyed it. i think it was a long time coming for
Speaker: Carson. um so i think he absolutely deserved somebody coming in and trying to like rough him up a little bit again it just sucks that ryan kind of got held back and so that couldn't necessarily play out in a fair way but we did learn that carson hosafar can fight so that was interesting I enjoyed it. I don't... go wait i don't i don't like the way that he just went directly for the throat other than that Good on you, bud.
Speaker: So I'm gonna go out on a limb given my hobbies. in college yeah and say that I have been hit. in the face and punched and Been punched and punched more than the rest of my panelists combined. I worked at a boxing gym and trained for three years and taught people. so First of all, Carson cannot fight. Neither of them can fight. Let's be clear. Neither of them can fight. they Not throwing any punches, worth a damn. And that's okay. like They're not supposed to. but
Speaker: I saw people say like, oh yeah. Uh... Josefira's got, you know, a good jab or whatever. Y 'all don't know what y 'all talking about. Like that man i cannot fight. And it's again, it's okay. um I enjoy the fight. I appreciate all parties involved except for green shirt.
Speaker: I don't know who Green Shirt is. I think someone said his name was Alan on a podcast. Ryan said his name was Alan. Yeah, Alan, boy. You better watch your back, fam, because you keeping us from the good shit. You you keeping us from good quality.
Speaker: Family fun and entertainment by getting involved when it's not your time to get involved Um, I like the fight. I like that. someone did something i remember certain people on this show saying nothing would ever happen Takarza Nozavar.
Speaker: A couple weeks ago. And something happened to him this week. Um, So I like all of that, honestly. um i I feel like... One of the sport's defining moments was a fight.
Speaker: after a wreck at the end of a race. So I mean this is just coming full circle. um You know, it wasn't a case where like he got cheap shot from behind or you know um Who was the old boy who like jumped off the car? ah Was it Harvick who jumped off a car in Bristol? Yeah. It wasn't too crazy.
Speaker: um i think this is good i think this is good for nascar honestly because this is This kind of thing. I mean, I don't want this every week. I don't even want this every month, but you give me this twice a year. I'm okay with it. I think that's a pretty, give me a spring and a fall fight in the pits.
Speaker: um And i'm I'm fine with that. I feel like that's a good quintessential piece of NASCAR. It's kind of like hockey. in the sense that you know you finally get fed up enough with someone you can very easily go this route um Whereas you know in basketball.
Speaker: football it's it's a whole big thing if you get into a fight so i appreciate that that's kind of unique about nascar um this is the hell yeah racing that the uh the marketers want so I'm all in favor of it. I just wish.
Speaker: everyone didn't get involved as quickly. um And for everyone talking. you know, junk about Blaney. I'll just say this. You get a two piece in the mouth and you get right back up and go after him.
Speaker: I wouldn't want to mess with nobody. If I give him two good shots and you come back at me like that, I don't want no more smoke, fam. I don't have the facilities to handle you. And so that's why all those people. Yeah, he got Carson got more shots in, but that boy was scared. He was real scared when he came back.
Speaker: So. um I mean, i think I think Ryan just needs to work on his technique a little bit. He'd be ready. um he'd be better prepared for next time because i I could see, well, actually, no, I was going to say maybe I could see Ryan getting into another fight before his career is over, but I feel like this actually might be one and done for him. I can see that better.
Speaker: I'll chime in on this topic just for me. I feel like I'm... a The definition of ah an antisocial extrovert. um I went out of my way yesterday to talk to somebody.
Speaker: I'm at church in Chili's Hat. And I was like, yo. What's up with your boy? And we had like a 30 minute conversation just off me asking, what's up with your boy? um So I like how it it gives people a talking point.
Speaker: um Carson last week was like, oh, I didn't do anything. so I don't have to be the the headline. of any of any controversy for the media. boy did you did you spark that up and then squared and and tripled and all that stuff but you are You are the conversation point, Philly, for the rest of the season unless something else crazy happens on my Kansas butt.
Speaker: um I feel like this is. This is kind of what NASCAR is known for is. you know tussling after the race i don't like you don't like me Let's have some fisticuffs after the race.
Speaker: Um, And more on this later. because uh my last two break comes from uh comes from this uh this little uh scrum per se Question number three.
Speaker: Um, We're a third of the way through the chase. Have any of your championship favorites changed?
Speaker: Art. I go back to you. You still think ah it's dinner or die? I mean, I came on here. A mere seven days ago when I said Kyle Larson might be the favorite. Who's leading the points currently? It's one Mr. Kyle Larson. um I don't know man, Danny seems to be doing just enough.
Speaker: But he's not he does not his performance does not spark joy for me, I must admit. like He is not doing enough for me to feel... Very confident right now. um I think I really think the five can steal it and I can steal it. I think you can take it honestly, I mean he's been kind of faster than Denny all playoffs. So I'm going to say Larson.
Speaker: Pain.
Speaker: who's your Who's your title favorite? I still think Toyota is going to have the key advantage on the mile and a half. They've got a string of them coming up with.
Speaker: What, Kansas? Vegas? Charlotte. and then you wrap it up in Homestead, I still think that's going to be a key advantage. Do I feel confident and comfortable?
Speaker: with Denny Hamlin. Right now? No. But. I still think. I would rather be in his shoes than any of the Chevrolets or any of the Fords going into this next sequence.
Speaker: I think the... the Forge of the Seven Riders are just going to be lucky to... Hold serve. while the Toyotas surge ahead again. And.
Speaker: I'm now on board with...
Speaker: Uh... Sheldon Creed. Winning the title title. I remember last week I had some reservations just because I felt bad for Dustin Allgaier, even though I really, really, really like Sheldon Creed. I am now, you know what?
Speaker: The boys earned it. This is going to rejuvenate his career. This is going to put him back in conversation. This is going to put him in a cup seat if he wins it. Bring it on. I am sorry, Allgaier, but listen.
Speaker: Sometimes it may not be your year, even if it was your year for 90 % of the year. Turns out that last 10 % matters. substantially more so. Sorry buddy. That's too beautiful to pass up.
Speaker: it really is America needs it Truly. That's what will bring us together in these trying times. These are the champions America deserves. Amen. That's an insult.
Speaker: Madeline, who's your your title favorite?
Speaker: don't I don't know if it's Denny anymore per se, but I'm gonna like agree with Peyton that I still feel like it's Probably more likely a Toyota than anybody else. I'm not gonna put a Kyle Larson championship in the year. I don't have that in me today.
Speaker: I don't care It's one point. He's ahead of Denny by like one point. ah you According to the NASCAR app, by the way. So it's not like it. substantial or anything.
Speaker: But i don't I don't know if it's Denny. I do think it's probably going to be a Toyota. And you know what? a Sheldon Creed O 'Reilly Championship. Why not?
Speaker: but's Whatever. Sure. Go for it. His son was up on the ah victory lane with him, and it was very cute, so I felt very endeared to Sheldon Creed this weekend. Adorable family. That kid has the most blonde head of hair I've ever seen. just He was holding a little toy car.
Speaker: on Victory Lane and I'm assuming it's Sheldon's car. oh that's And it was so cute. You can't take that away from them. That's beautiful. Arthur, how dare you? Arthur. I said he was the champion America deserved.
Speaker: It doesn't feel good. No. You meant that in the worst way possible. trans ah The transcript reads. Said the words I said.
Speaker: Exactly. text says you're How dare you hold me accountable for the words I say. The words that followed. did say. You meant that negatively. Listen man, ah listen man, listen.
Speaker: All them drivers got kids. That don't sway me. He said fuck them kids. All them guys got kids, okay. Larson got kids. He was putting them in the car all the time. Y 'all ain't boohooing about that? i went Oh, so very adorable children, though. Yes, I'm sorry.
Speaker: His daughter's a little menace. We love it.
Speaker: Nope. Nope. We're not letting the demons win. We're not letting the demons win. Chair. Chair. No,
Speaker: So my thoughts. um I think we all know where I stand with O 'Reilly. When it comes to Cup, I'm still rooting for Denny Hamlin. I think that's like...
Speaker: I really, it it has felt like his year for so much of the year. It would just be so disappointing to see that fall off. I think, I mean. To Madeline's point, it's just one point. It is one point difference between him and Larson. And so it.
Speaker: is not enough to I think discourage me from saying that it still could be done easier because I think I mean, theoretically, that could be the point that lights a fire under his ass and we see a different Denny these next few races like we could see that turn and see it turn into like a real true battle between those two. It'd be really interesting. um God, I hope I don't eat my words about Joey Logano. That is making me nervous looking at that point structure there. um You know, there's the even your Logano deal and.
Speaker: It isn't even here. so I'm a little nervous there, but I don't think that. um i hope that's not where we're headed but yeah i'm still Still pretty behind.
Speaker: denny want to point out that y 'all y 'all talking like this and again i do not say i bring this as a barringer of bad news i do not say this with any joy in my heart But the five is gained, according to this chart that I'm looking at, 53 points on Denny since the playoffs started.
Speaker: Whoa. Don't tell me that. I mean, I don't know what you want. Say those words to me in that order. What am I to believe? yeah What am I to believe except my own eyes? Believe in your heart.
Speaker: so and you know the And one last thing, real quick, Jared, I'll let you go. The tiebreaker for the playoffs. is you know best overall finish Well, Kyle already got a win. So Danny's going to have to at least get a win if they were to end up in some kind of tie scenario. So I'm just i'm just saying.
Speaker: I'm not saying it's over, but I'm just saying I look at the chart. The five is going up every week. in chunks, and he's now ahead. So I...
Speaker: Denny's still my favorite to win the championship. I lark in his recent. plight. um to his new fandom of the Ohio State University. Um, ends. What way do you ask, Jared? How can you make that comparison?
Speaker: Well, Ohio State. Plays games. to not lose instead of playing to win. And it seems like Denny. is is playing not to lose the championship but doing just enough to still give himself a shot um As we move forward to the the second third of.
Speaker: of these races now. Granted. Um, toyotas are broken a mile and a half so he gets to run three in a row hopefully Then he gets his act together and and stumps back to a 55 -point a lead like Ohio State had this weekend. But if not.
Speaker: Um, Then I don't I don't want to think of of of The driver and the five. winning anything ever again. Unless it involves a dirt car. So.
Speaker: ah Didn't get your act together, please, because I don't want to have to come on this show and ah and say anything of the sort. You tried that. last year. and Or two years ago, rather. It it was a very sad show. Very very sad.
Speaker: He just doesn't look good. I don't know what it is. He nervous, baby. He nervous. I mean, he... i'm not trying ho I'm not trying to imply like something serious, but he just does not look good after races. Denny does. He looks sickly.
Speaker: And I'm a little concerned. He looks very gaunt in the face. no he's good i agree with madeline he he's him especially has always looked very dehydrated after races like my wife knows like he doesn't look well and this has been going on for years i think everyone else is just catching on I don't know, man.
Speaker: He looked like he was about to fall out the seat. You look worse. All right.
Speaker: You know, see some people just don't look good after they work out, man. That's kind of what they're doing. and that They get their ass handed to them. My point, I'm not saying that he should look like he's about to step on a runway. I'm saying he looks. worse comparative to how he usually looks. He's gotten older. He's just age -shaming this man. he' just Worse than he has looked this year. year there is that How many more qualifiers? Look at what he's gone through this past year and a half. no Of course the man's looking a little tired. like he let i'm saying I'm saying he looks worse than he looked in June.
Speaker: That makes sense. I mean, yeah. That's the process. Dog days of summer. I was going to say, you might have noticed the earth has gotten significantly hotter since June. All right, listen, listen. When it comes out that he was dealing with some of the playoffs, y 'all don't have to listen to me bitch over y 'all for 10 minutes.
Speaker: in the offseason. Because y 'all giving me so talk The man look like he got something going on. That's all I'm saying. He look a little ill and I'm a little concerned. I'll find out and get back to you.
Speaker: Question four. Bubba Wallace was the only driver that spent the entire 500 laps of Saturday night's race in the top 15. Besides the agenda being maintained, does Bubba have it in him to overtake Tyler Reddick in the points?
Speaker: Peyton, I come to you first. Can he do it? He's gonna need to win.
Speaker: because, as mentioned last week, I stole it from Reddit, and they're right. And... You do not get punished. nearly as much for having bad races as you get rewarded for winning.
Speaker: It's 70 plus points for winning. So like a 20 point advantage. over everyone else for that he is what 90 points behind the leader i think What? 40 behind. Tyler Reddick.
Speaker: I don't think Tyler O 'Conrad can get there simply by... stinking. I mean, Tyler's doping it. Hey. Teeth Like it was not a, it was a rough day and I was pointing out. just for a lot of folks.
Speaker: Say again, I like Tyler but Tyler Reddick. Very nice man. But. When it comes to playing against your teammate. Number one thing you got to do, beat your teammates. So I get no joy from watching him. Roth wins.
Speaker: He was shockingly bad They they whiffed on the setup. And Bristol is not one of Tyler Reddick's strongest tracks. I think Bubba in order to get. up into the top 7 6 5th.
Speaker: I think he's going to crack off a a win So I'm not. spending a lot of money on it but Hey. Prove me wrong. I want it to happen. Kansas. It is a very good track for him.
Speaker: So. It could happen, but... i Not going to put all my money on it, but we'll see. Jerry, what do you think? Does he have to win to overtake Tyler, or can consistency beat him?
Speaker: I think consistency could beat him if Tyler's consistency goes down the drain. i think he would I think there would have to be a bit of a flip over the next few races to see that happen without a win.
Speaker: So, I mean, theoretically anything can happen, but I... Wouldn't really put money on it without the win and I don't really know that I would put money on it in general Unfortunately, I just think it's.
Speaker: I think it could wind up being a close race, but I don't see Bubba coming out. on top with that one without like something happening whether that's tyler had a couple tankers or um he just comes out and wins and has like you know some top fives and top tens but I don't really see a clear path forward there.
Speaker: Mad. Yeah, I feel like I'm gonna sound like a broken record but like I think Just with how consistent Tyler has been this year. I don't foresee some like major like change and how he's gonna finish out the season and I think Bubba really needs a win Just in general, but if he wants to overtake Tyler he's gonna need A win.
Speaker: and i'm not saying that's not gonna happen that could happen i would love for that to happen but i don't I don't know. I think he needs a win And that's like the only. chance we're gonna get for him to kind of
Speaker: Oh, like. get there. Alright. See when you go make me go last you give me time to fuck around and do digging and it was on purpose found that it is the gap between them because i did not know what the gap was between them It's 31 points.
Speaker: There's seven races to go quick math 31 divided by seven is a Nice smooth 4 .4. The idea that Bubba can't average five points over Tyler.
Speaker: over these next couple races i I think that's very doable. I don't know why that's impossible to see happening. I get the arguments about him needing a win, but I really think he, and that's just, that's not counting stage points.
Speaker: which the 45 has not been great at in this playoff. ah You give me... One more repeat performance like to today or excuse me like ah It was at Bristol.
Speaker: I mean, he's getting a lot closer. that That gap becomes dangerously close. And then you have tracks like... talladega which are a cluster it could be for one or both of them right but you could easily Finish 30th.
Speaker: Watching from the holler. and squeak out a top five, right? Just because of how chaotic it is. so Five points over seven races seems pretty doable to me. And and not only does it seem doable, the the problem is just that the 45 right now seems to be...
Speaker: in kind of a tailspin. ah We've talked about them throughout the summer. and how they seem to just not be handling. i don't know if you want to call it pressure or just not performing well basically but There was a long stretch where we were saying, you know, you went five out of nine races or whatever it was, your championship favorite. You're going to run away with it. and you're gonna Get seven, eight races. I remember at some point someone at some point says, is he going to get 10 wins on the year?
Speaker: And now you're seventh in points. And you were. i mean I get Payton's point about how they clawed back to a decent finish at Talladega. But if you don't get You know. eight cautions or whatever it was at the end of the race for him to get, because there was at one point, I think they were three laps down, I want to say.
Speaker: um in stage three at least in the second half of the race but i'm pretty sure it's in stage three if you don't get all those cautions i don't think you get back And. I mean they just are not good. Um... So I don't i don't know why it's impossible. Yeah, bubba.
Speaker: Can do better, but... They seem to be on the us end and the 45 seems to be. in the tailspin like i said so yeah i think it's very possible
Speaker: Yeah, I am
Speaker: Would I would I like But with a win. Yes. what I like for him to go three in a row these next three weeks because they're all mile -and -a -halfs that he performs great at, absolutely.
Speaker: But to to Art's point. Um, you know, consistency matters in this version of. season ending points that we have.
Speaker: And it seems like the 23. We can turn. Uh, a good day into ah a decent day um like we saw. Last weekend, in St. Louis.
Speaker: And then... His performance Saturday just shows that. If I don't have a car to win, I've learned to not ruin the points day and just take what I have and and maximize the finish. so um As long as they continue with that mindset.
Speaker: um maybe his generational run is beating tight on the points and just pulling up the airspeed And, uh... You know, after the awards making, like I told you I'm better. Now pay me.
Speaker: Uh, Question number five, true or false? Joe Logano said in an interview today um that if the 77 didn't race the way he did he probably would have won the race Saturday night.
Speaker: True? or false. Sí o no. Jer, I'm coming to you first. as ah one a Carson horse of our supporter. Sure, boss. I mean. If you are going to maintain your dignity as a Carson Hosifier supporter, you have to be able to admit when Joey Logano is right.
Speaker: like There have been many. moments. this year where i think there have been races where hosavar had a real chance of winning Where he just. did something or didn't race in a way that I think he should have that completely lost him the chances. So I, I mean.
Speaker: I don't know 100 % if this race was the one. I think he still had like... some chances there at the end but like i i think yeah if the kid was just a little bit more focused and a little bit more like a little bit less um, seemingly impulsive and just like significantly more polished in certain areas i think he could He could eke out a win here and there a lot more than he has.
Speaker: So. Yeah, I mean, maybe not this race in particular, but I think in general, like there's truth to that statement. Wouldn't be Carson's supporter, Peyton.
Speaker: Your take. You can drop me, down I'm falling from B, C, I'm like, I'm falling down the ranks on this Carson Hosomar. Train ride.
Speaker: But. Joe Logano.
Speaker: He knows what it's like to be on the bad end. Of. Your own. actions. He knows what it's like to reap what you sow. And this this is what it looks like.
Speaker: And it can manifest itself in so many ways. It can be... That person you're trying to put a lap down who all of a sudden decides they really need to race you so hard because you never cut them a break before.
Speaker: Or it can be... Instead of trying to race you clean, hey. I, Ty Gibbs, am going to run the heck out of you. going into turn two or going into turn one.
Speaker: Because... listen, we know you do the same thing and we don't care. Like, we're just going to run you over. And I don't even think he... yeah they raced extremely hard extremely rough for that win and it was them going for the win So I think that is reasonable. So I don't necessarily know if this is the perfect sort of manifested man is Ah.
Speaker: You all know I'm trying to say. I don't know if this is the perfect example or even the truest form. of him getting what he has given out to all of these drivers.
Speaker: So... It's going to get... Worse for him. There are more drivers who are going to especially because they know it's not even worth trying to come from because you might get you know a couple of licks. They might just continue to do it on the track and make his life.
Speaker: really tough. But yeah. if he had been If he had a Ryan Blaney type reputation. I don't think gibbs races him like that because i don't think ryan blaney would have race done.
Speaker: Ty Gibbs, the way that Carson hosts far did at the end of their either. So. Yeah. He's 100 % right. Meh. Adelaide. Yeah, I don't know if like...
Speaker: this weekend was like the prime example where I'd be like, yeah. this was like Carson screwing up his chances of a win. but I do think like
Speaker: Like. has kind of been said it You're starting to notice that... nobody What? to race carson nobody wants to be raised by Carson. They don't care about Carson. If Carson's going to mess up their race, they might as well mess up both their races at this point.
Speaker: Um.
Speaker: I don't know. I don't think this was the weekend of like, ah obviously, Ryan himself has said that was 50 -50 there. all both their faults, but I think it hit the point. We're like.
Speaker: I saw that wreck happen and I was like... Sam. Carson just ruined Ryan Blaney's day. And like, I didn't even think twice about it until I rewatched and I was like, that wasn't inherently Carson's fault.
Speaker: And I'm... previously enjoyed Carson Hosovar. and i still stood there and i was like wow i can't believe carson ruined another driver's day because that's just the reputation he has and it's like kind of exhausting to a point now where it's like and His bit is getting a little...
Speaker: exhausting too so I'm curious of that shift of like when I sat down. after i left infield and i saw that he had put his merch 12 off for 12 hours i was like okay So he's just never going to hear it.
Speaker: Wrecking him is not going to work. Punching him doesn't work. What? What works? Because it's now just like... I think it's only gonna get worse from here. So I think we're about to see a lot more. Carson hosts for ruining races and a lot more.
Speaker: Carson's race is getting ruined if I had to place it. that on it.
Speaker: Alright. Yeah, I think Joey is... Very accurate in his assessment. um The thing with Carson. I mean Bubba literally said this but He...
Speaker: Can have a fast car and be fast in that car, but just have no racecraft You know, like he just has no ability to to make the big picture decision.
Speaker: and i said on here the other week it was you know the c -gap car mentality um And he just is. He's just really like the brain rot driver. I guess like it just there's no ability to think big picture and and think about anything beyond the next lap the but the next gap And yeah, I think he honestly could have won if he didn't.
Speaker: Uh... Have the incident with Blaney and then have the incident with Ty. because he had a really good car like his car was really good he was up front for a good chunk of the race And especially at the end, he had tires.
Speaker: on the 54 right like ties tires were dying out in those last 20 laps. And I don't think... Unless he had a big lead, he could have held it. But yeah, I mean, Ty probably is not going to door slam you into the wall if you haven't been driving like a jackass for whatever it is, 33 races or whatever it's in.
Speaker: you know like you You get your this reputation, and this is how guys are going to raise you. and yeah i'm actually kind of glad that he didn't learn anything because the field just knows now like okay we can just keep teaching you this how many times we have to teach you this lesson old man like we're just gonna keep doing it until uh Until you find out. And so if he gets dumped, you know, at one of these mile and a halves and gets ass in into the wall, like.
Speaker: Too bad. you earned this you know i can see priests or barry they were you know barking and chipping it on the On pit road. I can easily see one of them just taking them out. Like, why not?
Speaker: I think he's earned it. so Yeah, I mean. If he had listened to Bubba, he honestly would have had. you know another win by now i think and i think you just would perform better and like i said These guys.
Speaker: are all so talented they know how to make your life super miserable right they could stop short in the box in front of you and make you have to get around them like there's so many little things that like It's hard enough to to run well in NASCAR as it is. You don't want to add extra adversity to it. And I feel like he's done nothing but that. and All he has to show for it is some merch sales and some clicks online and the fan base saying, oh, but we're trending on Twitter. like
Speaker: Do dog videos trend on Twitter? That's not a high accomplishment. Like that shouldn't be, you know, your crowning achievement should be trying to win. But anyway, that's. I'm not a member of cult 77. Like that's neither here nor there. um But yeah, I mean...
Speaker: This is who he is. So like, why bother? You know, I'm not going to get upset or ask anyone to try to change him because my favorite driver tried to sit down and talk to him. And what happened?
Speaker: shit all so like okay hey this is who you are don't just don't cry don't be tight -faced when you're sitting in there in the care center getting interviewed I don't want to hear it. my favorite driver tried to punch him and he's doing it Yeah, he's just not gonna learn it's fine. It's fine. Listen some people you just have to accept this is who you are And all right now that and the field has learned this is who you are now that we know we can Adjust ourselves accordingly because you're not willing to adjust And that's okay. hey That's how you want to play? it that's
Speaker: perfectly fine. Just be prepared to live with those consequences. I just like this just reminds me of. um the Ross Chastain incident a couple years ago, how he kept having run -ins with Chase and with Denny.
Speaker: um And then he ran across the wrong Hendrick driver. and Mr. H is like, yo. You would have quieted that down for a pull of your alliance. And then it was like the reality check. He needed to calm him down.
Speaker: um It seems that Carson really doesn't. Care for the the feathers that he ruffles Just because. It's fan base.
Speaker: and social media like loves everything that he's doing so it's almost like he's doing the He's doing it as a bit. Just so he can have the the popularity and then the namesake from it.
Speaker: um without remembering or realizing that there's real like on track repercussions for the behavior that he has. Personally, Saturday wasn't enough. I want round two without.
Speaker: the uh We have the security guard there. I'd like Blaney to get his ah his licks in, you know. I feel like ah it's fair. I'm glad that somebody stepped up to him. I'm glad that.
Speaker: Um, like the the entire Grows as it seems um is this fed up with them so When you're going to places where. You need teamwork.
Speaker: Like there's a ah drafting track in the chase. And it's manufacturer's orders oftentimes supersede. You know, Team Motors. Well, sorry Carson. You just cut out ah you got cut out of the pit window, the pit schedule, the the drafting buddies. Like, you're just ah you're cooked.
Speaker: Because nobody's going to want to work with you. And, you know, the the promising season that you had. it's gonna fall to nowhere's land because you've you've ruined every uh every relationship you had in the garage and there's be a 38 gift cards.
Speaker: baskets that you have to send out in the offseason as an apology. Hopefully before the the group 1001 money runs out. Um, Sam Ennis. And I'm excited. I'm tuning in next week.
Speaker: You know, we saw a great ah ah great wreck happen at Kansas before between two drivers. And then we got to Martinsville and it got squashed. so I don't think the beef is done yet. I think there's more to come.
Speaker: And with that. It's time for Let's Do Right. I'm going first. My latest break goes to... Dale Earnhardt Jr. Um, Rodney Childers. Uh...
Speaker: HendrickCars .com. Everybody involved over at JRM. I'm very, you made me sit here. All year. And watch me. Watch Raj drive that bucket.
Speaker: because you couldn't come up with the funding for a full -time ride. And you have the odd... Cassidy. The nut. Screw together basic parts For the... the third consecutive week of this band being in your car for the last like not a channel whatever this is look if you're gonna play in his face then just let him go somewhere else and get signed to another team Because I don't want to sit here and have this propaganda.
Speaker: And standing on my soapbox saying that Junior wears the money, Junior wears the money, sign him to a full -time ride. Well, this is how you train them. i want to be I'd rather him go back to to J .A .R. Honestly, truthfully, I don't have to worry about the right front shock falling out the car and him plowing the wall. and and all this foolishness the fuel pickup not working like what are we doing If you're supposed to be the top tier Eshin line. theme in the series
Speaker: It's not our fault you got five cars, but you should have the wherewithal to make five all five cars competitive. And you're doing a very, very. Very sucky job of doing that. So Raj, I'm sorry. Maybe it's best that we just forget this whole Hendrick, you know, standing against. Maybe Corey Day can kick out.
Speaker: um you know kyle larson and then maybe you drive some races in the 17 maybe they treat you better over there if you an actual hendrick driver in the hendrick shop because you don't know how to act Why it's too bright, man?
Speaker: Mm -mm -mm. Shameful. Nasty work. Uh... Pete. Hoosier Lights Too Bright. F1 was up, so you have to stay at NASCAR World.
Speaker: Yeah. I was going to say this. International Motorsports has left me in a tough position. and I've got to focus on the sport that I'm paid to. to talk about. So... It's very simple is very simple
Speaker: Is Daniel Suarez an Austin Sendrick? You too. Listen. Listen, look, listen.
Speaker: Over at Spire, you've got nothing but action coming from your teammates. You've got... Carson hosts of our with the most diabolical but diabolical fan base that... blindly would fall into them. end there Like, imagine Dale Jr. fans.
Speaker: but somehow less much less sophisticated. was the dirtiest driver in the league. You've got that going on. There's energy there. You got the 71. Managed to... Put himself into.
Speaker: the chase because he dumps or. turns Denny Hamlin. For no reason. He's been wrecking people all year. No one's been willing to talk about it. Daniel, what have you been doing? He's been finishing bad. No one's talking about you. You just fall into the bottom of the standings Doing nothing?
Speaker: Come on! What are you doing in these team meetings where they're sitting there talking about, oh, I crashed this car, this car. are you You're not hitting your crash quota. What are you doing? And then meanwhile, Austin Sendrick.
Speaker: He's going to run 12th all day? You got your teammate winning and got your other one blowing up. break parts. getting I'm getting his block knocked off by hosts of our. Go fight somebody. Show some enthusiasm. Listen.
Speaker: Get in the mix. You know, i'm I'm tired of looking at you and your $12 sport clips haircut just sitting there smiling being a nice guy. No, go piss someone off. So until... you to need to figure out how you can inject yourself into the equation.
Speaker: because otherwise you're just on my stage and you need to get pulled off. This was Lights of the Apollo. They're giving you the. Get off the stage. So Sick of you. Both of you. Get out. and It's a shame that's not elimination because you all should have been gone after two races. They wouldn't wait until round three.
Speaker: We're third races. Get off. Get off my stage. Oh, God. was my Waste of a spot. Like at least crash or fight somebody. Come on. All right. It doesn't get worse than that. Boy, I'll tell you what. Let's go.
Speaker: Uh, Dear, who's your related you, bro? My light's too bright is everybody who didn't believe in Sheldon Creed. but Thank you. That's it. End of sentence. Appreciate you. You little face.
Speaker: Mic drop. Let's go. Now to... I'm going to call on Chilton Creed's biggest hater, Art, who relates to Bright. First of all, just because I coined the nickname Can't Close Creed does not make me a hater. He can close. He's been closing. He's going to close the big one. What do you mean?
Speaker: Wait, did I say? He hasn't performed well. I just said I coined the name. Ever since he won, I've not said that name on air. One time. I'm not a hater.
Speaker: I'm not a hater at all um My Lights Too Bright goes to... Engine engine number nine, Mr. Chase Elliott. I wanted to do the 45, but I've already talked about that boy enough today.
Speaker: Good God, man. What are you what we doing, fam? Listen. I'm not even a fan and I feel bad. Good gracious.
Speaker: and Just out there riding around. I forgot he was out there. That's how bad you know it is, man. but Good. goodness Haven't you won here? Like... in the last couple years recently like in the next gen good gracious they were out to lunch again
Speaker: uh you know that same chart that i i point out the five going up i see the nine going in the exact opposite direction he started at the points or excuse me he started the chase minus 60 he is now at Just a second.
Speaker: Minus 117, I wanna say. Huh? Chase has never won at Bristol. Has anyone a pistol? You know what? After Saturday, I can see why. I can see exactly why after after watching that performance. My God. You know, every...
Speaker: Every time I go, so for context, I watched this race at the Hall of Fame. Joe was there. We hung out. Every time I'm up in there, boy, it's like 65 % Elliott fans. and And this week it was 65 % Elliott fans, 30 % hosts of our fans. And let me tell you, man.
Speaker: They were real quiet because they didn't have nothing to cheer about because Chase Elliott wasn't doing nothing. The fall -off needs to be studied. He got two quick wins. and I didn't see hide nor hair of of Clyde ever since then. So they get a lights too bright.
Speaker: ah I mean, they might get outpaced by... Sendrick. The 24 who is also a stinker, if you want to talk about that one, ain't my 24. I'll tell you that much. You got a door panel behind you.
Speaker: Ugh. The real 24, exactly. Not that bumma was out there on Saturday. yeah man I mean Chase might end up like 13th in the standings which I think for a driver that I still think, I mean, I don't think he's not talented. I don't think he's something for God to drive, but for that. driver in that car to finish outside the top 10 points.
Speaker: It's that's not good so it's too bright
Speaker: Madeline. I was gonna be a bit nicer about it. What? And I was going to pick the nine teams as a whole, mostly because I watched the race. from like turn one most of the time.
Speaker: with earplugs in and my camera out so i really did not I couldn't tell you just about anything that happened in that race, except I think Riley Hurst hit the wall at one point. And Alice Bowman wrecked right in front of me.
Speaker: But every time I looked up. and i saw that nine car it was right next to the 88 and i was like damn Mm. It's a bad day. Um... I don't know who my lights too bright is. I think my lights too bright might just be...
Speaker: You know, I'm going to make my lights too bright cars I know so far this weekend. Let's go. So. With no further commentary because I don't have it in me. Um. 77 is my, and everybody.
Speaker: and The 77 and then my thoughts and prayers to everybody who works at Spire Motorsports. Well, maybe not all of them. We don't know. what My thoughts and prayers to my friends who work at Spire Motorsports. Specification is better. yeah We can't give a ah blanket.
Speaker: Good wishes over there We're gonna narrow the scope
Speaker: that That's what I'm going to call for if Junior Motorsports doesn't get their act together about Raj. I'm gonna get a phone call. Bro, I'm getting a picket sign. What are you talking about a phone call?
Speaker: juniormen You can do a lot with a phone call. a lot He's gonna see me in the parking a lot bro Get it together. Is the South going to rise again? You know what?
Speaker: What? thank you for listening thank you for being here uh, Like, comment, subscribe. Why did you say that? Some shorts. Why did you say that? I appreciate appreciate Peyton and Madeline for taking their talents down to so Bristol and getting some good content for us.
Speaker: Um, We will see what the Kansas. Uh. Bring us. this upcoming race weekend. I bid you all farewell. don't explain it off air i want the i promised an hour i'm giving you an hour Art talked about cats, so we got we got limited time here.
Speaker: but Well, okay. well well so We already wrapped it up. well no we we We got time, you know. I just said the South's going to rise again because, you know, it's not just it's not just us that are fans of young Raj. You know, there's there's also Southerners that are also fans of Raj. And I feel like.
Speaker: we can start a riot. I just need somebody to throw a water bottle like Ty Gibbs did. i'm sorry to quote robert parr aka mr incredible you are not associated with me You are not associated with me. That'll think you've had some. You've had some very, some very inflammatory comments about. ah 30 -foot sprayers here on this episode. I don't know if you can be the one to deliver that message to me, Art. No, I mean, back to what you just laid down.
Speaker: I think I'm alright. I think I moved on. They're not going to mention me at NASCAR HQ when they vet this episode. They're going to mention you. Cheers. I bid you all farewell.
Speaker: Enjoy your morning commutes. We'll see you next week. Ta -ta.
