PEYTON: Out of respect for Art who... crisis with uh...

Jarratt: He was gracious enough to come even after he told him to.

Art Freea: That's correct. That's absolutely correct.

Jarratt: to stay home. We appreciate your.

Art Freea: You're right

PEYTON: Let's hope.

Jarratt: enthusiasm for the ah for the for the business.

Art Freea: You're welcome.

PEYTON: I was hoping the FOMO would would factor in, but there you go.

Art Freea: no it was just how magnanimous I am but you're welcome you're absolutely welcome

Jarratt: Magnanimous.

Art Freea: That's it.

Jarratt: says That is a word, baby.

PEYTON: I don't know. Yep.

Art Freea: That's SAT word for you right there boy

PEYTON: I don't recall saying thank you.

Art Freea: That's not very magnanimous of you.

Jarratt: Welcome to another episode.

Jarratt: Welcome to another episode of Victory Lane Vibes. We are your hostess with the mostesses. It's Jared, it's Art, it's Peyton. We're here after... A rainy Charlotte weekend.

Jarratt: That's probably the best way to describe it I actually like the DACA we have for this evening. So let's get the party going, shall we? Um, Question one. Alex Bowman slander has never been higher.

Jarratt: After he overcorrects and spins, collecting Bubba in the process, Can we call him a hack again? Art, you go first.

Art Freea: I mean, I think... I think that might be ah an insult to all hacks out there who ply their trade to be associated with Mr.

Jarratt: no Lord.

Art Freea: Bowman right now. um I mean, we see a lot of weeks where someone gets loose and they correct it and they always just. harmlessly spin to the infield. But no, Mr. Bowen, you chose death.

Art Freea: As an option, you... chose become a heat seeking missile Uh... I was about to say something about Leidos, but I don't want to get us into trouble. um

Jarratt: Amen.

Art Freea: Yeah, man, that was just brutal. I just... It's time to pack it up, man. You, Brad K, there's about five or six guys in the in the field who should just pack it in, man. Go be a family man. raise them dogs raise them kids whatever whatever it is y 'all got at home take it please because

Art Freea: Man, that was going to be a good weekend, I think, for the 23. I think they really had a good car. and Led a couple laps early. It was top five, I think. Top six, maybe. When that happened, I don't know if they're going to have race winning speed, but they I mean, it took off like a bad hell. So.

Art Freea: Very disappointed. um but We move, I guess. What do I say? like he He sucks. I don't like him. I haven't liked him for a long time. I don't know what you want me to say.

Jarratt: ye

Art Freea: I don't have new material for you. This is just... Another page in the phone book sized folder of evidence that I have had for disliking this man. I'll tell you what. But we should have thrown more than a bottle of water on him since we back at Charlotte Motor Speedway. That's all I'm going to say. like that's you should You should have had some.

Art Freea: So a bit stronger. um Yeah, whatever you suck. I hate you Get off my screen on Sundays. I hope you run the 500 and then peace out the rest of the season. Cause I don't want. don't want you in my life.

Jarratt: Uh, Peyton. Is he a hack?

PEYTON: Can I start this with a question?

Jarratt: Yes.

Art Freea: Yes.

PEYTON: Would it have mattered what driver it was that...

Art Freea: Even though that was one.

PEYTON: Lost his cookies and speared Bubba. Like if it was the 47 or the 77. or the five would we be saying the same things or is there something in particular about the 48

Art Freea: No, because... No, because the five has talent. The 77 has talent. 77 can be a dart without feathers, but he's still got talent. I'm not gonna pretend like he doesn't.

Art Freea: um Who else did you say? 47?

PEYTON: Yeah. the stent house.

Art Freea: i Mean he's in the same in the in in hackney In Hackville, they are neighbors on the same street. So they are very close to each other, okay? They are they are not far apart. They're not side by side, but they...

Art Freea: They can see each other when they go to get their mail in the morning. so It'd be a similar conversation, but the 47 does not have a laundry list of. incidents with the 23.

Art Freea: The 48 has. So, no, I think it it it is it is character specific.

PEYTON: I like how you say that. I like how you say that. This was part of the 48's Biggs plan. Like, listen, I got to sell the score of Bubba.

Art Freea: Listen, I'm not...

PEYTON: Hi -ya!

Art Freea: I'm not going to say it's ah without malice. I'm not going to say, I'm sorry, excuse me. I'm not going to say he did that with malice. But the scoreboard doesn't give a shit. Scoreboard doesn't care if you did it on purpose or or not.

PEYTON: so boaggus So bogus. bogus. back by just absolutely just like just straight center punching him just like pulling a Kyle Larson at Indy on what he did to Ty Dillon.

Art Freea: Yes.

PEYTON: He gets one of those. ah

Art Freea: if i Listen, man, I just feel like if... I feel like if you, if I was Bubba Wallace and I was driving home from the track and I hear the car still go around and I see him out there on 95, like he might.

Art Freea: He might get turned one more time. I don't know. I'm just saying, like, I might have taken matters into my own hands.

Jarratt: Yeah!

PEYTON: All right, so I'll go ahead and give my actual opinion because...

Art Freea: Because...

PEYTON: i knew i was going to be in the minority on this show and listen

Art Freea: oh here we go

PEYTON: Some people have to when you're walking sometimes the least worn path

Jarratt: Here it comes.

PEYTON: is the righteous path. And I find the paths that I often walk are are not well trodden because no one likes to follow me along with this. but it It was a racing deal. It sucks. And what helps soften the blow is the fact that another Hendrick car absolutely demolished a Toyota.

PEYTON: at Michigan earlier this year. I mean, we saw it with Chase Elliott. Absolutely. Massacring. the, what, 20... car of Christopher Bell. So we know that these cars are really snappy. And...

PEYTON: can each other with tremendous force. so It wasn't a surprise. Did it absolutely just drain all of the enthusiasm from the race? Yes, because...

PEYTON: Bubba had a fast car. He probably had a... Yeah, it's a good... Yep. Top five car, maybe. At least a top 10 car. And it would have been made things more exciting. Actually, it's still not being a good race. but Am I going to sit here and say that Bowman is cooked? Is he done?

PEYTON: No, like I said. He gets saved by the fact that his teammate did it did it. and earlier this year. I just hope that Bubba is okay. He recently an article for ESPN, I think maybe two months ago, where they're talking about Kyle Busch and how he did not really.

PEYTON: In terms of... how they handle medical things as drivers. He said that he does not go to the doctor. Because. What's he going to tell them?

PEYTON: I hope he takes us through. That's a bad lick. Hopefully he just got the wind knocked out of him. but This is one of those Ryan Blaney hits that we all are like, man, that' that's got to be. That's got to be a problem there. and You just see Ryan Blaney back in the car next week. you know Uh... i might not be pulling in the right direction or you know might not be feeling too good but hey see what I get in that car. so I hope there's someone who can give him another. Look over before he gets in that car on Sunday. Cause.

PEYTON: Sheesh. That was a hit.

Jarratt: You know... to answer your question if anybody else but if if it was anybody else would i still have the same Oh. vulgarity in my response to it I'd say yes.

Jarratt: Um... I don't know if you asked for this comparison or if I just. thought of it when uh when Art was giving his answer to your question. but Alex Bowman is Last Decade's Josh Berry.

Jarratt: And I say that because. you know, Junior got... Alex Bowman, his old ride, when his head told him you got to get out of the car. um And obviously with Josh Barry's connections to Dale Earnhardt Jr., he was able to land.

Jarratt: The 42, while seemingly having. uh race winning pace in the entire season but just being too lazy to to show it either out of anger or frustration or or what have you. um But I think it's... ah I don't want to say it's a racing deal because Alex Bowen was involved.

Jarratt: um i want to say there was racism he did it on purpose just given his track record and feelings

Art Freea: You can.

Jarratt: when Wallace Jr.

Art Freea: You can say that.

Jarratt: I feel like that ah it was racism. um He saw. uh the bubble had uh race winning speed yet again and he was like now we can't have this We got to take them out.

Jarratt: Here we go. And he just sent it in and overcorrected. um I guess kudos. To Bubba for not. um running up and grabbing them by the lapels and uh showing him a piece of his mind like all day after.

Art Freea: i don't I don't think Bubba was capable of grabbing anyone by the lapels.

PEYTON: Because he couldn't see them.

Jarratt: and i'm not I'm not there yet.

PEYTON: I was going to say, all I saw were birds and mosquitoes and fireflies, man.

Jarratt: No. I'm not there yet I'm getting there. But I was going to say, while that would have been the reaction I'd love for him to have, like all the Claude videos. ah ah portray him to be as angry black man.

Jarratt: um I don't think he knew. the day or time in which he was standing. Um, during the post -race, well not post -race, post -accidents interviews that he gave at the care center. um I hope he's laying down.

Jarratt: safely. um I hope the swelling in his head lessens. I do not think it's a good idea idea idea for him to to go to Phoenix this weekend. I think they should just charge that to the game and and let that be that. Um,

Jarratt: It just sucks to see yet again. Um, You know, we we get on here like, man. bubba can win bubba can win they unloaded the car fast for once and you know charles the next life And he never got a chance to improve upon it because it got a.

Jarratt: broken into bits. so Another, oh gee, what could have been? kind of kind of race weekend, which... i don't like that happened in all three series i feel like this weekend Very, very lackluster.

Art Freea: That's really been the story of his season. I think this is, I mean, this isn't gonna be, you know. this season isn't going to be on a missing rings video but this is going to be a season that you i think A lot of. 23 fans going to look back and wonder how good it could have been. I i mean.

Art Freea: there's very easily a timeline where they're fifth in points. and Having a much stronger end of the year I mean, yes, they've Run really well the last couple of weeks, but.

Art Freea: It just seems like the... to quote the team owner right the law of averages have not been in uh in his favor when it comes to some of these incidents because it just seems like Any opportunity he has to be caught in someone else's mess. He does get caught in someone else's mess this.

Jarratt: The man will find a way.

PEYTON: that's it I tell you, he if he goes and wins that first Atlanta, I feel like. We'll be talking about a whole different story. I feel like it might be one of those things. You get an early win.

PEYTON: And your whole outlook, the way you approach every weekend, I tell you, I think that just would change everything because. You think about... the That would have been a way to close out a win.

PEYTON: You look at the way. you know, stumbled at the fall summer race. Yeah, just a lot left on the table. So, yeah, I agree. it It's a bummer. and It's not going to get any easier next year because the team. Teammate competition gets even tougher.

Jarratt: Word. uh, Question. Numero... Dos. Um... Ahem.

Jarratt: um Everyone has a chance, according to Bob. ah If you're within 229 points after the race concludes in Phoenix, mathematically, you can still win the championship.

Jarratt: I know Ryan Blaney fans are accustomed to bathing with a toaster depending upon. their driver's outcome. um Is this a lifeline for the Denny Bros? Peyton.

PEYTON: The issue that he has. he's just now getting Sort of paper cut by paper cut. With the...

PEYTON: Five car. The five car has just been fast. every single week. scoring big stage points. And it's just been. Up there. And...

PEYTON: He had what a couple bad weeks or a couple mediocre weeks And the five car capitalized that on that. Yeah, I think it all just comes down to Talladega.

PEYTON: If he can win Talladega and Larson has a bad weekend. then you've got your reset but as it's currently going He's just going to keep dropping five to six points at a time just because Larson is just racing at a super high consistent level.

PEYTON: And... Yeah, you just can't beat them like that just cuz Yeah. Yeah. You just can't doing keep doing little chip shots and layups. You've got to start hitting three -point balls. And he's not doing that.

Jarratt: I like that. That's well said. Alright.

Art Freea: Uh...

Jarratt: Lifeline.

Art Freea: I uh... No. Short answers. No. I mean...

Jarratt: yeah

Art Freea: Excuse me. for For all the hard work they did this weekend, and to their credit, they tried their best. They still lost nine points to them. Like, that's that's the short and the short of it, right? They lost nine points to him. And. ah You need to be averaging. I think it was something like 12 points 15 points over him the rest of the way and I don't even think that's enough at this point um So, no, there's there's no lifeline. You know, it's...

Art Freea: It's whatever you want to pick. You baked, roasted, grilled, broiled, sauteed. Suvi! Poached? Braised. Cooked! Like they they're not coming back. and The only way he's coming back is if he wins three of the of these remaining races. And it's going to take all three.

Art Freea: it does two wins is not gonna get it done because Again, even if you are winning and getting you know the mythical 20 -point bonus. I was probably finishing second or third behind you. at at at some of these places so like you're not really getting the huge chunks you need Uh...

Art Freea: I saw some tweet. Some dude out there said, you know, the strategy needs to be, what, win Phoenix, get stage points, aggressive stage points, outpoint him at Martinsville. And try to be within 20 points of him. of larson going into phoenix and danny replied saying accurate i said all right brother You put it on wax now. We got the screenshots. That tweet will be brought back up one way or another.

Art Freea: here in a like couple weeks but ah Yeah, no, there's... I don't think so Unless the five, I don't even think. I can't think of a scenario where even if the five just completely lap one DNFs like he did that one year at Talladega.

Art Freea: I don't even think that's gonna be enough. Again, all of this is hinging on you being close at homestead, which again... is to re -emphasize what i've been saying in the last three weeks is one of his best tracks He's not going to run 15th. That wasn't one of his best tracks.

Art Freea: You think about how cheated up. Those final four cars are going into Phoenix every year like those cars are

Jarratt: oh

Art Freea: Oh, man. Those cars have 20 extra horsepower at least. so Him going into Phoenix, I'm just going to go into Homestead. With all of HMS is back and right. He's not running 15th. He's not running 20th He's running first second third probably almost the whole race So...

Art Freea: i mean if that's your strategy good luck i guess i mean that's the bed that's kind of been made for him but Yeah, it's pretty much. Denny Bell or bust at this point in terms of anyone coming back. I know.

Art Freea: The 19s had two really good weeks, right? And it's really closed that gap, but it's still. What, over 60 points? I mean, again, the dude's averaging, what, 2 .8 now? I think... that This weekend dropped him from the 2 .2 down to a 2 .8 average finish for the chase. so Yeah, man. ah When someone is on a heater like this.

Art Freea: yeah there's no shot unless you're gonna get the 48 see that's this is a case of misplaced priorities because if the 48 was a real teammate he would have uh or was someone that you could really count on if you're denny you would have had ah had him somehow wreck larson and take out of him as instead of the 23 and then he would have actually been able to make a dent in it, but. ah yeah no there's no shot for any of these guys really if he stays like this and again If he's just average at home at Talladega.

Art Freea: You know, if he brings it home, all four wheels of a Talladega, he's probably fine.

PEYTON: but That's an if. I was going to say, that this is probably one of his...

Art Freea: That is an if, yeah.

PEYTON: It's his worst track style. coming up. But everywhere else, I think he's won.

Art Freea: Yes, he's wanted all of these tracks.

PEYTON: That's it.

Art Freea: And again, we've we've kind of said, though, throughout the...

PEYTON: Yeah.

Art Freea: the playoffs so far is that like. In theory, you can have one mulligan.

PEYTON: Yeah.

Art Freea: You can have one. off race or one bad race and still kind of be in contention.

PEYTON: Yes.

Art Freea: But we were talking about that. Week two week three when they were all pretty close together and they were all about a hundred points apart Not when you've got a... you know. 45 point get head start on everyone else. I just.

PEYTON: And the other thing is too, if you're going to choose a place to have a bad race, make it Talladega because there's a there's a high...

Art Freea: Blah.

Art Freea: Yeah

PEYTON: chance. that at least 30 % of your competition gets caught up in the same rack.

Art Freea: h Mm hmm. i mean and it what's probably gonna end up happening is gonna be some non -chase guy ends up winning uh and day go like I feel like every year there's at least one race.

Art Freea: one or two races right in the playoffs that like a non champion contender ends up winning it.

Jarratt: Chase driver wins it.

Art Freea: It's going to be talented. It's going to be. you know, fucking Stenhouse again, or or some rando is going to win it. And then Danny's gonna be sitting there tight -faced because he spent on pit road again

Jarratt: Yeah, man ah i'm I'm not buying into it because, I mean, at this point, if if you believe in Bob. Shut up, Bob. Um, Based on his math, as we currently sit.

Jarratt: That means that Daniel Suarez Chris Buescher and Ryan priests have a Mathematical chance. on this, the Lord's day, um October 12th of winning a championship. And I just don't think that's, that's accurate.

PEYTON: What?

Jarratt: Um,

PEYTON: I mean the Titans still have a mathematical chance of making the Super Bowl. It doesn't mean they've got the equipment to do so.

Art Freea: Right.

Jarratt: Yeah, just I just don't think, can you know, to to all of the the points that ah both Peyton and Art have made. Danny, you should have cared two weeks ago.

Art Freea: Listen.

Jarratt: It's too late, brother. you can't make the You can't make it up. You quite literally have to win three out of the four to give your own self a shot because that's not factoring in the points that Kyle Larson is still going to make over you.

Jarratt: Like, if you win to let the next three out of the four. It gives you another 60 points. And if la Larson finishes second, then it turns into an F1 points battle where we're going to take all at Homestead. And I don't think he built like that, my dog. like you You started caring.

Jarratt: Two weeks too late. Um, And let's... Kyle Larson has it. catastrophic. catastrophic meltdown. which I don't think is it's possible. it just I think he waited too late to... Oh, man.

Jarratt: I need to perform well.

Art Freea: He really got, you know, the the problem really was for Denny. Week two. At Gateway.

Jarratt: Yep. Absolutely.

Art Freea: when larson went from like minus 45 to like minus five or something like that

PEYTON: mm -hmm

Jarratt: and clipped him.

Art Freea: a huge gap right there that was two races basically worth the points that he he sniped on him

PEYTON: Yeah.

Art Freea: That's when you should have been. you know on 10. And then the next week, I'm looking at here, Daniel Spettis. Shout out to you because I love these charts. I hate what I see on them, but I like the charts.

Art Freea: Next week, go into Bristol, come out of Bristol, tied. Following week, you're minus 21.

Jarratt: Hmm.

Art Freea: following week, minus now you're at minus 40, now you're at minus 45. When it was... When it was what? After Bristol. And I i keep. bring it up on this show just because.

Art Freea: the psychology of it is such It's such fascinating a fascinating thing to me about athletes and those even especially race car drivers. But as soon as you start saying. Oh, the law of averages says he's not going to stay this hot. i I swear I knew he was cooked right then.

Art Freea: I knew it was cooked right. I know it's not over. It's still possible. I could eat these words. I know. Listen, I don't mind being wrong. I've been wrong on the show before. But as soon as you're saying. My best strategy to accomplish my goal is for my opponent to fuck up, not for me to execute.

Art Freea: It's Rhapsody. It's... Rap City. 10, 10, 20s on the titties. It's rap. There's no chance. at that point that tells me that you mentally have conceded the offense. And now you're basically playing defense and hoping that the other team fumbles the ball and gives it to you.

Art Freea: And like they haven't done it yet. like Again, 2 .8. So i I really do think that's going to be the moment that they look back on and be like, yeah, well. Mentally, we knew that at this point it probably wasn't going to happen.

PEYTON: This will be easier to to swallow and digest for him though, because he got a chance to see. him get his ass kicked over a 10 week span. As opposed to... watching it disappear. And from him.

PEYTON: if 10 or 15 laps to go so at least that'll be easier to digest and it sounds like mentally he's got that now where he can fall back on it's like man He never fell back to the average.

PEYTON: he, he, he stepped out out outside himself. Like i I ran a great average, and like But yeah, that's a great point by you in terms of that mentality.

Art Freea: And the thing is, again, And I'm i'm sorry to keep hard around this, but again, this is the most interesting thing out of the weekend for me because I do not like the races this weekend. Spoiler. the You're racing against Kyle Larson.

Art Freea: This is not the... and Good. Shade, but not shade. These are not the Suarez's and the Stenhouse's and the priest's of the world. they like you can go out there and pretty much just roll off the grid and be better than Right. Like.

Art Freea: this guy has two titles like he's on one of the best teams and i i know chevy was underwhelming in the regular season. But again, after week two, you should have realized, hey.

Art Freea: this manufacturer game that we think we're going to run as Toyos and get, you know, the top four in the points and, you know, just, it's all going to be sweet. The jig is up. Like we. We have to figure something else out. and I know it's not for a lack of effort, right? Like these teams are trying and they're pouring all this money into it, but.

Art Freea: Like. that's the moment where you have to realize like, okay, well. I am racing against the One of the best drivers in the field, one of the most talented drivers in the field. I have to be at my A++. plus plus I cannot be out here and be at an A-, minus or a B +, or whatever your average letter grade is.

Art Freea: And expect to win. i'm not against this guy and not when there's no points reset right so like you have nothing to save you Like now, like I said the other week, the irony is that now this is the one thing Denny needs is that he.

Art Freea: Hate it was the points reset. That's what he needs now most. He needs a one race take all at Homestead. to have a chance right now and now he can't have it and that's kind of the cruel

PEYTON: yeah

Art Freea: you know, ah the cruel irony, right? It's kind of like... um Wow. these Greek tragedies or whatever, right? It's like the one thing you didn't, you hated is now the one thing that you need most. And like, it can't save you.

Jarratt: it's crazy man It's crazy. Um... Question... three. Jesse Love. tweeted over the weekend saying that the Cup Series was a support series this weekend after O 'Reilly's got moved to the Sunday night slot for their race. And he was not wrong. He wasn't wrong at all.

Jarratt: Corey Day goes back -to -back, winning in a thrilling finish to make the points table over there in O 'Reilly's. Jesse Love minus two, Corey Day minus seven, and Algar minus 15 heading into Phoenix.

Jarratt: I think my attention has turned to the O 'Reillys. uh championship because Man, if anybody breaks. It's over. It's Rap City. Um, Does Sheldon still have it, Peyton?

Jarratt: Can he still win?

PEYTON: So I expressed my concern last week about my issue with, and I don't think it's with Sheldon necessarily, although. He's not necessarily the most clutch driver of all time, but still he's got great form.

PEYTON: Is when he is having an off day, that can easily look like an 11th place finish in a field of. in a field that really a top driving top car should not be finishing anywhere below 10th.

PEYTON: He rebounded well, finished third. And... He's got a chance, but what concerns me is is Corey Day has looked. Strong.

PEYTON: There was a point where, what, Corey Day got sent to the back for a running through too many pit box violation, got sent to the back. every everyone in the chat was like yay you're like oh corey day dad and you're like no i was like na no no no no All this means is he's going to put on a show working his way to the front. There's way too much time left. That car is way too good, and he is too talented.

PEYTON: So. What's remarkable... is that this is, as you were mentioning, this is the most compelling championship just because there are what feel like so many true players.

PEYTON: I would say... The two... Top JGR cars. feel like. The...

PEYTON: I feel like we tweaked probably the most solid on paper just because we saw the 7 car run such a big lead. leading up to the chase. And then also how the one is just found really. great consistency although now they've started to have mechanical type issues and things like that that may have just gone remove them from the hunt But the 17 has just come on so strong. And it's just shown such consistency.

PEYTON: And I. I'm just going to assume that any debts that were owed against him by a drivers he has screwed over. I'm going to assume that those have all been settled so he doesn't have to have to worry about that.

PEYTON: So he can just go out there and race hard. I still think there might be a question. He is still rougher on the edges. that go back to bite him There is no one out there who would. willingly. harass or abuse Justin Allgaier and that may work to his advantage because he doesn't have very many enemies.

PEYTON: So... I think it's going to be an interesting thing. I think for Sheldon Creed. It's got to be something where the seven and the 17. start getting into a PP measuring contest and they stumble and fall.

PEYTON: And Sheldon is there to pick up the pieces. So... All right. I felt a lot better two weeks ago. and You can still get it done, but... He's going to need some help.

Jarratt: All right. What'd you think?

Art Freea: Yeah, I agree with Peyton. I think this is definitely the most interesting playoff hunt right now. I mean, and even if you look at the results of... the race on sunday right like these guys are all under a blanket ah It's as close as you could...

Art Freea: could want or expect going in there i just think My heart says, my heart wants to say, you know, Sheldon or Allgaier get it done, but. I just feel like JRM has put...

Art Freea: some There's something extra in that 17, man. like That car was so good. On Sunday night, it was so much better than everyone else's. There was one point.

Art Freea: you know Raj is around 10th, 11th place or something, like fighting for you know back half of the top 10. And 17 car just comes up. And just drives right by both of them. in one corner just drives by him like he's laughing on man it it was that car is so good and Corey is very talented. I think, yeah, to your point about him being a bit raw, I think that's true. but In theory...

Art Freea: he has learned from some of the the recent scuffles that he's had on track and someone's grabbed him by the scruff of the neck and said hey don't fuck this up for us man like we can win a title here And, you know, hopefully he's he's seeing big picture, but Yeah, my heart would love to see, again, either Sheldon or Allguy or...

Art Freea: Even Jesse Love to kind of come back and and win a title under a system that is quote unquote more fair, I think would be a nice storyline for him. like He won a champion is one of those things like he won a championship. Everyone's like did you did you really like?

Art Freea: you got the trophy but were you the best driver like no you weren't so like for him to kind of you know. Put those those talks aside, I think would be... a great story for him but i just think the 17 is going to find something i think HMS is going to you know slide them.

Art Freea: some some of the best motors, the A -plus motors, whatever it takes, because I think they are starting to get the idea of... Two of these Hendrix. Cards .com schemes sweeping.

Art Freea: the trophies at... a at Homestead and I mean, if they keep coming back like they were this weekend, and I don't know how you can expect to hold them off. I mean, he's only what, like 15, 17 points or something like that. It's under 20.

PEYTON: Who, Cordae?

Art Freea: Yeah. he's Oh, he's seven points.

PEYTON: Seven.

Art Freea: Yeah.

PEYTON: Yeah, he's there.

Jarratt: A7 back.

Art Freea: Yeah.

PEYTON: They're there.

Art Freea: So I mean, yeah.

Jarratt: He's right there

Art Freea: you know, that could be one stage winning. He's back to P1 in the standing. So, yeah, no, I think it's going to be Corey, honestly, at this point. Like I said, he's... He's good enough. And the team around him, the infrastructure around him, the cars are...

Art Freea: Definitely good enough. So that's what I see happening. But again. What the heart wants, it does not always get. I think that's what... Okay, we're gonna get in both of these point races.

Jarratt: You know, it's easier. to to manage. the the championship lead than it is to try and take it. Um, Especially if you you look over. what's happening right now in Cup where the former points leader is trying to claw his way back.

Jarratt: Um, you know. Sheldon just got the the championship lead when the the chase started. um And he's just been managing his races, managing his time, making sure they don't drop too many points. But I'm sure that going into this race weekend, they knew they probably would be on the back foot.

Jarratt: um since you're in Hendricks' backyard and you just got to see where your cards fall. but um is is cory day cheated up absolutely is rick hendrick putting all the money he can in that absolutely yes yes we know that yes it is a cup prepared o'reilly's car we uh we know that uh the the the dna um in that race team where where it comes from where it's born and bred um And, you know, getting a championship in the 17 will probably be cool for for Rick too. but um

Jarratt: I still think Sheldon can do it. Is he at odds going into Phoenix? Yes. um Has he run there? Pretty decently, fairly well the last few years. Sure. Um,

Jarratt: But that's Algar's. best And we saw him last year when he. ah was not at his best, and he he fumbled the bag there. so Um, you know who knows i still think it's uh i'm not gonna call um Anyone outside of Sheldon, I think I'm going to still keep my chip on the Sheldon thing on the on the the roulette table um ma until I see something different. but um And seven teams got to wake up and they got to show out this weekend if they want a chance because.

Jarratt: You let in Corey Day. come from out of nowhere to pass you for the win. and you lights too bright yourself on the wall like defending him and like take all the speed away from your car to finish fourth bro like I don't know if that's a championship. caliber driving you get over there at 17 now this year seven car this now i don't know if you if you got it like that this your brother man but um

Jarratt: we'll We'll see what happens. I'm excited for Phoenix. I've never been excited for a Phoenix race, and I'm actually looking forward to the Phoenix O 'Reilly's race just because. It's the best series that NASCAR has right now.

Jarratt: that's That's the absolute best. It's the most entertaining race thing. I stayed up till damn near midnight watching that race last night, and it was awesome, and I'd do it again. It's a great race.

PEYTON: You're better than me. I i called it quits once Raj went out.

Art Freea: Duh.

Art Freea: Yeah, and i was I was like, I have to go to work.

Jarratt: yeah i had to watch for the plot you know so i had to see what was going on

PEYTON: Man, I had work in the morning. so

Art Freea: in

PEYTON: We got it.

Jarratt: Now, Art, do you want to play the game or do you want to go to lights? You're right.

PEYTON: Play the game.

Art Freea: do this choice.

PEYTON: Play the game.

Art Freea: All right, we can play the game.

Jarratt: let's let's Let's play the game. We we got time.

Art Freea: Alright. Alright. Alright, so I... didn't I knew there was going to be light on. on some storyline so i can with the game

Jarratt: Is it pick two, flush one? You know you always come up with some wild game we got to play.

Art Freea: It's not pick two flush one. I don't know what that is, but no. So I have a game for both of you and it's called. um Tell me who's better. So I have two sets of drivers here.

Art Freea: I have... You know what, Jay? I'll let you pick first. You you pick the set. A you want it a or B? You want to go first or second?

Jarratt: B. I like the rebuttal.

Art Freea: Alright. this you're both running your own races. This is not ah this is not a competition, really. really

Jarratt: Oh cool.

Art Freea: it's not that kind of game

Jarratt: I'll go second still.

Art Freea: Okay. All right. So you go first. That's fine. So, so pa I'm going to give you. I'm gonna give you ten drivers. I want you to tell me when the you Stay silent and tell me when I say a driver who's better than Dale Jarrett.

PEYTON: all right

Art Freea: Okay. we're gonna go We're gonna go for you ago Modern and kind of work our way back

PEYTON: right

Art Freea: Martin Truex.

Art Freea: Brad Keselowski.

Art Freea: Kurt Busch

Art Freea: Matt Kenseth.

Art Freea: Carl Edwards?

Art Freea: Is Dale Jr. better than Dale Jarrett?

Art Freea: Is Ned Jarrett better than Dale Jarrett?

Art Freea: Is the papa better than the... The sun. No? Is Rusty Wallace better? Then.

PEYTON: Yes.

Art Freea: Okay, that's too wild.

PEYTON: Yeah, Rusty Wallace excelled in a lot of different types of circuits.

Art Freea: Now...

PEYTON: He was a short track specialist, but also was quite good on road courses. There were some really good ones that I wanted to shout out. Ned Jarrett. Anytime you get into those order racers, it is tough just because the level of competition was not.

Jarratt: They were racing plumbers.

PEYTON: Yeah, you just didn't have necessarily full funded rides. You had. 52 races on a schedule so like just getting to the track will get you far Huge respect, but...

PEYTON: Yeah, I want to say, I'm going to give it to Rusty. Just because they raced against each other and I feel like probably in the head -to -head, Rusty probably came out better.

Art Freea: Do you want to hear the last two, who you're holding out against?

PEYTON: Yes.

Art Freea: Second to last was Bill Elliott. Deep. Who's better than those two? In your opinion.

PEYTON: I still like i select Rusty over Bill, but Bill is real.

Art Freea: And then the last one, it's probably the best out of all this list would have been Dale Jarrett versus Mark Martin.

PEYTON: Oh yeah.

Art Freea: I think. Mike Meinwald.

PEYTON: Mark Martin. Like, he runs through both of them.

Art Freea: Yeah.

Jarratt: Mike Martin got no championships, though.

Art Freea: I mean, Mark Martin

PEYTON: Yeah. but the But...

Art Freea: Yeah.

PEYTON: You got to think about how good Mark Martin was to the day he retired. And he retired really old.

Art Freea: Yeah, who'd do it?

Jarratt: You got to think about. The belt to ask Adele Jerry put in his championship season.

Art Freea: That was it.

Jarratt: He was stepping on necks. the entire season he was on next.

Art Freea: And he did.

PEYTON: True.

Art Freea: He did beep. Prime Jeff Gordon.

PEYTON: Yeah.

Art Freea: I mean, I think Jeff had like nine wins maybe or something crazy that year, but a bunch of DNFs, but still like, yeah, prime.

Jarratt: one next.

Art Freea: year and you take a title from three daytona 500s

PEYTON: Oh, good. Dale Jarrett was no joke, but... i just I have a huge soft spot for anyone who can put up that sort of consistency throughout their entire career.

PEYTON: like Mark Martin did. And he did it from... you know, the late 80s. Through the 90s, through the... 2000 into the, you know, 20 early 2010s.

PEYTON: He was still. worth his... He was never like, oh, we're just going to try to make sure everyone feels good.

Art Freea: Right.

PEYTON: and stuff like that, which they were doing for Dale Jarrett. in his later years they're like well this is a feel -good story

Art Freea: That's fair.

PEYTON: you know last You know, one last UPS right now with him. He was there to make your urban organization better just in pure pace, not necessarily what he can explain to you from what he had seen from the teams he'd been on. So.

Art Freea: That's fair. That's very fair. Alright. Jared your turn Jared, do you want to go? Modern to old or old to modern?

Jarratt: ah

Art Freea: Oh, that's your perk.

Jarratt: Old to modern.

Art Freea: Got it. I knew you were going to say that. All right. So your driver is. Texas, Terry Labonte.

Art Freea: Quick stat line says 22 wins, two championships. 655 consecutive starts, the record at the time.

Art Freea: We're going to start, we said oldest and newest, Benny Parsons.

Art Freea: Harry Gant

Art Freea: I know you'll love this one. Alan Kowicki.

Art Freea: no

Jarratt: have a fun I have a story to tell about him.

Art Freea: Okay. Save it, save it. Davey Allison.

Jarratt: o

Art Freea: No. No?

Jarratt: oh

Art Freea: Ricky Rudd?

Jarratt: Iron Man. nah keep going

Art Freea: Is Bobby Labonte better than Terry Labonte?

Art Freea: Peyton is viciously shaking his no for the audio illness.

PEYTON: And I like Bobby Labonte. I'm big on him. But anyway, this is... Jared's question.

Art Freea: It is. ah Is Greg Biffle better than... Terry Labonte.

Art Freea: Is Casey Kane better than Terry Labonte?

Jarratt: We'll see how he does in trucks. No.

Art Freea: Is Chase Elliott better than Terry Lobano?

Art Freea: And is Ryan Blaney better than Terry Labonte?

Jarratt: Sigh.

Art Freea: That's my last one. So it's never nothing.

Jarratt: if if If anybody would... could i don't know if anybody in that list could hold taylor bonner's water but i feel like if if anyone could come close to it. Um, just as far as like the frequency of winds it would be ryan blaney

Art Freea: the

Jarratt: Um, I don't know if where Ryan is on the Ironman stat sheet, but. Um, I feel like Ryan. He's on pace to have a...

Jarratt: I don't want to say a similar career to Terry, but. You know, he's... He's doing his thing.

PEYTON: would

Jarratt: He could win another championship.

PEYTON: And I think... Terry. Holds the record for the longest gap between champion Ship. Bye. Tiles.

Jarratt: I think so too.

PEYTON: because he's got two and I think one was in the 70s and they did what is one in 90 was it

Art Freea: 84 and 96.

PEYTON: Yeah, 84 .9, which I think might be the biggest gap between two titles, like in terms of like your first and your last title.

Jarratt: 12 years.

Art Freea: drop Yeah, I think so

PEYTON: whatever your first and second title.

Art Freea: Yeah. Another guy who who got one on a... Prime Jeff Gordon here. I didn't even connect those dots when I picked these guys. Now I'm thinking about it. Yeah, those guys are good, man. like I tell you what, I...

Jarratt: We'll never have that NASCAR racing back.

Art Freea: I'm not trying to be all Mr. Old Hood. But even just when I was like coming up with this list. A lot of these drivers Even the ones that I didn't watch like as a formative fan.

Art Freea: right like I did not see prime Rusty Wallace, right for example.

PEYTON: Yeah.

Art Freea: But like all of the guys that like I did watch. are very memorable to me, like their personalities, you know, the the sponsorship ties, the paint schemes, like they're all very vivid to me.

Jarratt: okay

Art Freea: And I feel like a lot of today's drivers are not. Will not be as vivid when you look back at them 25 years like am I gonna really care about I keep wanting to go to Stenhouse. I don't know why it's shit on Stenhouse day in this house, but like, am I going to care about Ricky Stenhouse in 25 years? Like I care about Rusty Wallace right now. like Probably not.

Art Freea: i I don't think so.

Jarratt: Probably not.

PEYTON: i mean There's just so much that's evocative about that era.

Art Freea: I'll send it.

PEYTON: you think like two that made me want to Shout out for Jarrett, but like you really couldn't. You talk about a Davey Allison, just a great talent, and you're left like to wonder.

PEYTON: What could have he have been if he had gotten to run his whole career?

Jarratt: right

PEYTON: And Alan Kowicki, what would that look like? because His wins were... Bye. He was. Good, but... What he was doing was going to be tough to maintain trying to pull together as that sort of single car team owner.

PEYTON: as they were forming super teams. And. yeah, just so much. And it's so hard because it's just that nostalgia where even. I remember there being boring races back then.

PEYTON: but shoot you can put on any race from 93 and from me and i'll be like this is amazing

Art Freea: Yeah. I mean, it just feels like I get like I think part of it goes back to I know we always talk about the cars and bitch about the cars like yes it's the cars but I also just feel like those guys had such a a personality not in the sense of like necessarily their most the most charismatic like for example Ricky Rudd.

Art Freea: Not Mr. Popularity. but like he has like a character i say that as as

Jarratt: right

PEYTON: Yeah.

Art Freea: a compliment not as you know not as a joke but like He had a character about him that like, if that. Persona. resonated with you, you latched on him like that was your guy, right? Like everyone wasn't, it wasn't, you know, 99 people, 99 % rooting for Dale. senior.

Art Freea: And like 1 % for everyone else. Like you had these these drivers that were all just so different. And i feel like I feel like we get a lot of the same nowadays. and and lot I know there's like... the the PR side of it and whatever and like they're all trained on like say the right answer blah blah blah but like i just I really kind of long for the day where like...

Art Freea: you had a full field and you felt like you could easily identify and if you chose to connect with a guy because of how he drove how he talked how he carried himself whatever like you had Again, like.

Art Freea: like the dale seniors but then you had like young jeff gordon ricky rudd mark martin you know All those guys. And it's just... I just long for like that those kind of... It's kind of like wrestling, I guess, in a way, where it's like you have these personalities that like you you find and that you latch on to. I just kind of miss that. I don't feel like we don't really get that. We get a couple guys that are like that, like Bubba, Blaney.

Art Freea: I mean, hosts of our, like, as much as I... Dog on him like he does that right, but anyway that's ah That's the game I have for us. So thank you for participating. And I knew when I realized that was just going to be the two of us, or excuse me, the three of us on and the two of you guys doing it, I was like, okay.

Art Freea: I know you'll know all these names and... You guys are old heads in Willow. be able to think of these.

PEYTON: you You know that. hitting the nostalgia button is always going to.

Art Freea: Hey.

Jarratt: Go.

PEYTON: Listen, that's always going to work.

Art Freea: You know the Spongebob

PEYTON: you it

Art Freea: meme where he's got the... The case with the net, this is old reliable. the

PEYTON: Yes.

Art Freea: It's old reliable.

PEYTON: Yeah. any Anytime you can just hammer it out with nostalgia. And yeah, I'm always going to fall for it. so

Jarratt: Ehh... And with. that. it's time for lights too bright Alright. Entertain us. Use your lights to be bright this week.

Art Freea: Ah. Man this one was hard. I'll be honest. This one was hard And I wasn't on Lights Too Bright last week. And I kind of wish I was because I had a good one. And I heard Peyton. and And Madeline and everyone give their their takes. and You know, I sit on here. A couple weeks ago, like...

Art Freea: It's okay to be a hater. right like i think we just need to have more hate in our heart

Jarratt: Yes.

Art Freea: And this week, I'm going to use another H word. I'm going to be a hypocrite. I'm fully admitting I'm going to be a hypocrite with my lights too bright. And My Light's Too Bright is for... 5 .76 % of the population.

Art Freea: of Manicato, Italy.

Art Freea: Do you know? That 5 .76 % of the population of Manicello, Italy is, in fact, the total number working force for ferrari s p a racing team for squandering.

Jarratt: Heheheheh!

Art Freea: And preying on the downfall. Of the Goat of Goats! The King of Kings!

Jarratt: excusey yeah yeah

Art Freea: Mr. Lewis Hamilton.

Jarratt: Ha ha.

Art Freea: And i so I claim this is my life story for two reasons. One, because of someone who only fairly recently got into F1 and missed prime Lewis Hamilton. I'm sick of this shit.

Art Freea: I'm not seeing this motherfucker win.

Jarratt: Hehehehe.

Art Freea: I see all these YouTube highlights. I'm like, golly, this man's God's gift to racism. And then I get out there, he got these idiots on the box, man, who don't know how ti long tires last.

Art Freea: I've been watching this thing for...

Jarratt: ah

Art Freea: 20 months and I know how long soft tires last. Y 'all been doing this for your life. That's my first one, but the the deeper more personal reason I chose this lights too bright is because I know Peyton would've.

Art Freea: And I'm taking it. so that now I'm forcing him. To give us something NASCAR related. He cannot you take this. I know he had it planned. and I'm willing to fall on the sword of my credibility to be a hypocrite and go outside of NASCAR this week just to force Peyton's hand and make him pick someone in NASCAR. So Ferrari. You.

Art Freea: R. My light's too bright.

Jarratt: Damn. All right, Peyton.

PEYTON: Well, Art. You really did get me, but you didn't!

Art Freea: yes

PEYTON: Because here's why

Art Freea: Oh, no.

PEYTON: Here's who the lights were too bright for every single black professional driver this weekend.

Art Freea: Oh no.

PEYTON: All of yous.

Art Freea: Oh no.

PEYTON: Everyone is associated with you is even if it wasn't your fault, the light shirt is too bright on black America and motor sports. and in fact it does extend to europe because here's the thing you You blame Marinello?

PEYTON: That was Lewis Hamilton's call to make. They called him and he said, no, I want to go ahead and go on through. So you get it. There is not a single black professional driver this weekend. who is feeling great about today. One's feeling terrible because he's got a massive headache.

PEYTON: Raja was in two crashes. Lewis. Yeah. he Get up. Really up and down weekend. he had Good pace at spot. And then just so, so other places.

PEYTON: Yeah. LeVar?

Art Freea: Love.

PEYTON: I...

Art Freea: LeVar said, what did he say fuck me for?

PEYTON: Well, because he's still out there trying to get his six laps back because he just went down instantly.

Jarratt: yeah yeah

PEYTON: He probably had another car problem. So, yeah, there is not a single black American. Austin included, Associated Motorsports, who feels great about how this weekend went. so Yeah.

Art Freea: Hey, hey, I got... My Bubba Wallace autograph. So I actually felt great.

PEYTON: Okay.

Art Freea: And I did not. And I did not go to... any of the races. I didn't spend any of my money watching any of those. And I was not at the track till... midnight on a Sunday. So...

PEYTON: And... And so here's the other thing, too. That actually is a benefit for you because you were saying, I'm not going to any more races because. Bad things happen when I go. Bad things happen whether they're there or not, so you might as well just go.

Jarratt: That's fair.

Jarratt: As for me. Um, i guess i have two lights too bright my first goes to jayden daniels Dan Quinn. the coaching staff.

Jarratt: and every member a part of the Washington Commanders for squandering the opportunity you had to win the game.

Art Freea: Okay.

Jarratt: This man was doing the cat daddy. With 10 seconds left on the clock and was wondering why, oh, we don't have time to kick the field goal. Yo. Fucking idiot. Light's too bright. um but my second light's

PEYTON: I was just thinking about it quite often.

Jarratt: My second light's too bright. Goes to Coral the Joy. And it's been a long time since Coral Joy has had a Light's Too Bright. um But I just have to. Ah.

Jarratt: This man had the gall. to be upset that legacy media didn't cover the rfk fallout between Roushvid Way. and the Kozlowski.

Jarratt: and uh Hold on, what did he say? I'm going to give a direct quote because it's... It's still... pissed me off even talk about it pisses me off um But anyway. um He said that it's shameful that Legacy Media hasn't covered this because it's the biggest story of the year.

Jarratt: and My question's in twofold that I backspaced several times to him. And that was like Mr. Stacking Pennies. Shouldn't you be worried about stacking finishes with colleague? Since your sponsors weren't good enough to keep you.

Jarratt: And a full season over in trucks. Um, But then he he took it a step further and he shat on like small media members. And I'm like, again, Mr. Podcaster, are you saying that yourself is not good enough to report on the news and you want legacy media to do it?

Jarratt: You know, again, taking time away from getting in the seat and focus on the job that pays you these last two weeks over with Fram and Collick. If it's one thing that I've learned that Corey LaJoy is going to have, it's the audacity.

Jarratt: and And he gets my lights too bright for it.

Art Freea: Listen, from one podcaster to another.

Art Freea: Just clean it up man clean it up

Jarratt: the The audacity. ah So it makes me... it Like, I can go on the rest of the night about this, but it's crazy that you're you're syndicated by the sanctioning body that you represent and drive for occasionally.

Jarratt: It's like you double dunk on the people who sign your paychecks. because you got mad that espn or cbs sports didn't pick up the story about kaslowski uh leaving rfk newsflash buddy he hasn't had a ah top five finish like it in six years nobody cares about rad uh brad keselowski he's washed just like you are just let that man be if he's got millions to have ownership stakes somewhere go join spire they about to have a help one to sign out in front of the door anyway Cause he's about to lose all their funding. Like just. it we don't care But don't.

Jarratt: Like. shit on the people that do care and take time away from their wives children jobs health insurance benefits like and all these things to go make content to continue to grow the sport like if it wasn't for us if it wasn't for track house not track house if it wasn't for What's the other wouldn't people front stretch?

Jarratt: If it wasn't for them, if it wasn't for Taylor and above the yellow line or multi -grid mashup or jet, like if it wasn't of these prominent voices.

Art Freea: and

Jarratt: albeit whatever size that we are, but if it wasn't for the the main smaller media groups. pushing. the sport forward. You wouldn't have any reason to complain as it is, bro.

Jarratt: Just be thankful. that you have the people still investing time in a sport that won't invest in their cars to make it more, to give a better presentation to the people who who pay all this money.

PEYTON: I mean, think about that Bristol fight.

Jarratt: um

Art Freea: Yeah. the

PEYTON: Like how many different angles did we get of that Bristol fight? Because there were so many cameras there from. Folks like Eric Estep and folks like that. Who? we're going out of the way to try to get this footage and then get some of these interviews leading up to it. So.

PEYTON: yeah i mean it's a shame that yeah traditional media doesn't cover the sport the way it used to but You don't have to punch down at us. and we're just we're we're trying to We're trying our best.

Art Freea: I was gonna say, yeah i was gonna say yeah if you want to say like i'm disappointed that you know nascar is not getting you know, spots on NBC. you know, CNN or or or ESPN, like.

Art Freea: That's a valid stance and opinion to have. my I think all of us collectively, and we're all kind of saying the same thing. It's like like Peyton just said, right? like Don't. shit on the people that are out here doing it for the love of the game, man. like We... they do it because we want to be here right no one's paying you to get people you know one of the One of the funniest things about...

Art Freea: us doing this show this long now is anytime I meet someone new and I tell them about this show and they ask us a One of the questions that never comes up is about like the money, right? It's like, oh, do you get paid? Do you, you know, is this like a part -time job or anything for you?

Art Freea: I was like, no, brother, we lose money on this venture. We do it because we love it.

Jarratt: Literally lose money.

Art Freea: Like we literally lose money every time we go out to a race to like cover it.

Jarratt: Right.

Art Freea: And like, that is not a complaint at all. I'm content to do it every time the opportunity is there. I'm very fortunate because we have listeners that give us credibility and that support us. And, you know, we're always thankful for them.

Art Freea: But like, yeah, this is not a money making venture. We do it literally just because we love motorsports and want to share stories that we can capture and like give our opinions on it. And so for you, who is... The most industry plant if I've ever seen one. Uh...

Art Freea: to just be kind of shit. And again, unlike other people do all this work too, you know, front stretch and and and the the lot, but like for you to sit there and just be like. talking down to you because they're on youtube like Newsflash, buddy. like All of those, you know, young people that you're trying to to capture with. nascar and catch their attention they're not watching sports center for three hours you know while they eat their dinner in front of the tv on cable like they're watching it on youtube fam like that's where they are so like

Art Freea: That and like podcasts and like all these other mediums are doing the work. like Just because it's not in the the venue and taste that you want, like just don't. You don't got to shit on somebody else to say like you want you'd like to see. more attention. So yeah, it's ah it's very disappointing. i I really want to go find, there's a tweet somewhere that I i had tweeted and someone else tweeted a long ago.

Art Freea: that pointed out all of the ways NASCAR has like propped up Corey LaJoy's career and like how he's been sponsored by them. And they do his podcast. They put him in the TV show on Netflix. and like All this thing. I was like, brother, you are the industry plant. like You are the problem. You are the influencer. Thank you. You are what you hate.

Art Freea: So yeah, it's just disappointing.

Jarratt: Yeah, so... Just. Do better. Next week, sir. Get a top 10 for Kolek. before their season's over. How about that? Focus on bringing money to the to the checks they sign to you. Ragamuffin.

Jarratt: And with that... um I guess we'll wrap this thing up. There's a triple header this weekend in Phoenix. um Hopefully there's a lot of malfeasance in the cup race for once. so Um,

Jarratt: O 'Reilly's doesn't. continue to give them the lights too bright award week in and week out um I'll leave the since I'm in a a villainous mood. I'll leave the show on this. Did you know that NASCAR?

Jarratt: Created 80. next -gen cars to be in days of thunder 2 They put that much money in emphasis. to give the inventory for

Art Freea: Wasn't there a park shortage?

Jarratt: The, um...

Art Freea: Like, wasn't that a whole thing where they were talking about there was a parts shortage? for a while.

Jarratt: Is that who?

Art Freea: Like what happened to that?

PEYTON: they need They need to just take all the ad that we've got destroy them move on to the ninth d or the eighth gen whatever

Art Freea: Exactly. Bingo.

PEYTON: So...

Art Freea: Bingo. That's exactly right. that's exactly right yeah no we we were just told how like it's hard to get parts and it's hard to work on parts and you can make damn near 100 of them like That's got to be close to like the the annual total, right?

PEYTON: Yeah.

Art Freea: Like that's gotta be in that ballpark

PEYTON: Also... 100 % chance that Bowman's crash into Bubba, something like that, is going to be in the movie. Like...

Art Freea: Someone, ah you know, you know.

PEYTON: Like Jerry Brookheimer Jr.

Art Freea: this

PEYTON: just saw that and said, ha ha!

Art Freea: No, it was ah it was that, ah again, another SpongeBob meeting.

PEYTON: I got it

Art Freea: They're like, write that down, write that down. That was them in the press box.

PEYTON: Yes.

Art Freea: that Charlotte, just we're taking that.

PEYTON: Yeah.

Art Freea: Yeah, absolutely.

PEYTON: Yeah. I don't even have the post phrase like someone saying like I was all got nine fingers nine to like there they're like but this is good

Art Freea: Man, I wonder what drivers they're gonna have in this movie.

Jarratt: Hopefully none of them.

Art Freea: No, they're gonna have some in the background Like set dresser

Jarratt: who We'll see. It seems like NASCAR is footing the bill for this the sequel that we asked for but didn't realize was going to use this generation of cars. I don't think I want it. I think you can keep it.

Jarratt: Personally. Um, But yeah. That's the show. Tell your man we see a Grammys, Bass, and Merch. Get these shorts. We will see you all after the race of the Desert of Phoenix, and hopefully we come back with better news than we left you with this week.

Jarratt: May the best of your days be the worst of your tomorrows. Ta -ta.
