HA! CAST! THEM! DOWN! Hail Metal Nation! It is time for another...
00:00:13
Speaker
It worked, metal promo review, where we take metal promos that have been sent to us here, podcast them down, and we read them, and then we decide how many years we will be dedicating to said items being reviewed. And again, we have to stress.
00:00:34
Speaker
There's been some confusion about this lately. We don't listen to any of it. We all are basing our judgment on is the promo we were sent. Okay. Yeah, exactly. We do. We don't, uh, you know, we don't listen to things to review them. We, we look at them and that's why we give them ears instead of eyes. Wait, maybe it is confusing. Well,
00:01:05
Speaker
Made sense to me at the time.

Meet the Hosts: Matt and Tim

00:01:07
Speaker
That's Matt and I'm Tim. Hi. Timmy does love Judas Priest. He does. All right. Uh, I had to dust this one off cause it's been a while since we did an NPR, but here we go. Metal line, whatever day today. Oh yeah. We have to do the metal

Angels of Babylon's Upcoming Album

00:01:29
Speaker
line. That's in the contract. How about this? This email is dated March 1st. Okay.
00:01:34
Speaker
for immediate worldwide release and publication. American melodic heavy metal band angels of Babylon will release their third new third album Aquarius on March 1st, 2024 via fire rock music group. Does that imply they have a previous third album?
00:01:53
Speaker
It does, that would be the implication. Fire Rock, that's one word by the way. Fire Rock music group president Tom Collier comments, we heard this record and immediately knew we had to sign drummer Rhino and his band Angels of Babylon to a record deal. He is not only a great drummer,
00:02:15
Speaker
and singer, but a great songwriter. This album truly is a musical journey that must be experienced by everyone. Do you know who Rhino is, Matt?

Spotlight on Rhino's Career

00:02:25
Speaker
My guessing is Rhino is the son of that guy who's the head of the record company. No, look down. Look down. Down more. Down more.
00:02:38
Speaker
Oh, oh, is he some guy related to Halloween? No, he was the drummer on exactly one Man of War album. Holy shit. Was it the best one? No. Oh, no.
00:02:59
Speaker
Alright, let's see. Firerock Music Group has been making a big impact on the music world and will soon be releasing more and more great bands slash artists on their label. Angel's Babylon was started in 2010 with drummer Kenny Earl. Do you know who that is?
00:03:17
Speaker
That's Rhino. That's Rhino's real name. Manowar. Holy hell. Death dealer. Vocalist. Dave Fifolt. Hawk. Massey. Fire Wolfie. There's an E at the end. I assume it needs to be pronounced. A bassist. Dave Alephson.
00:03:36
Speaker
And Boston Guitar Wizard, Ethan Brush. Now, I don't think that's the Guitar Wizard from the group Boston. I think it's from the city of Boston. Oh, the city of Boston. Because that's quite a genre switch, if it was. So the picture, the band photo that is very tiny on my screen, even though it looks humongous. Yeah, gargantuan. Don't believe it includes Dave Alefsson.
00:04:05
Speaker
Yeah, I just count three people. Right. The band's first album, Kingdom of Evil, was an epic melodic metal killer with memorable choruses and beautiful, powerful songs that inspire and move the soul. In 2013, the band's second album, Thunder God, featured Rhino performing all vocals while drumming just like legendary drummers Gil Moore from Triumph and Dan Beeler from Exciter. And Phil Collins from Genesis.
00:04:33
Speaker
the album is packed with incredible memories and fist pumping, sorry, melodies and fist pumping energy. 2023 brought an entire new band lineup featuring guitarist Alex Stevens, guitarist Ken Burns and bassist Ned Maloney. He's a good the boy. That's good. It's good that he took time off from making those long form documentary films to join this metal band.
00:05:01
Speaker
That's Ken Burns. Kevin Burns. Oh, Kevin Burns. My mistake. My mistake. That's his nephew, I think. The band's new third album, Aquarius, is a heavy metal mystical journey with incredible melodies and massive headbanging rhythm apostrophe s. Rhythmses. What? Rhythmses.
00:05:25
Speaker
On stage, the band's live show is something you do not want to ever miss. The show is an epic bombastic voyage and features a huge wall of sound filled with sonic crunch and earth-shattering tones. Rhino on vocals and playing the drums is something to really behold. For the latest Angel of Babylon news, visit the official Fire Rock Music Group website. Good luck finding it because I'm not going to link it.
00:05:56
Speaker
Fire. Rock. Music. Group. All right. It's surprisingly easy to find.
00:06:04
Speaker
All right, Nashville, Tennessee drummer Kenny Rhino Earl began playing drums at a young age, eventually playing shows, live shows with his band Ark Angel. It was in 1991 when Ark Angel, opening for Heavy Metal Legends of Manowar, was noticed by outgoing drummer Scott Columbus, which led to a meeting with Manowar band leader and bassist Joey DeMio. Rhino was invited to join Manowar and performed on their 1992 gold certified album, The Triumph of Steel, which has one of the worst
00:06:34
Speaker
Man of War songs. It also has some of the best ones. Yeah, that's balanced at least. And subsequent took part in their two-year world tour. It was featured on the album was Rhino's blistering five-minute drum solo, Armor of the Gods.
00:06:55
Speaker
1994 saw Rhino and the rest of Manowar embark on the 45-date Secrets of Steel World Tour to promote the band's new box set.

Manowar's Record-Breaking Achievement

00:07:04
Speaker
During this tour, Manowar officially broke the record for becoming the loudest band in the world, reaching 129.4 decibels in Hanover, Germany. Do you want to know why that precision is completely meaningless? Or should I move on? No, I definitely would.
00:07:24
Speaker
Okay, if you're doing A-waiting, which I assume they are, they didn't say what kind of waiting this was. It would make sense to do A-waiting. Typically, you do it within A-waiting. You have to do a time window. And there's a short one and a long one.
00:07:49
Speaker
If they did a short one, they just need a peak of energy somewhere in that window to make it 129.4. The most efficient way to break this record is to blast a three kilohertz signal out of the PA and do nothing else. It'll be very easy. Anyway, they just had to watch it until it hit 129.4.
00:08:18
Speaker
Because if you change the window, the decimals meeting list, because if you change the window, the decimal moves around even though you have the same amount of sound that you're measuring. What? So you're saying they're a bunch of phonies? I'm saying this is not a proper way to measure peak level. Okay. All right. Okay. I think I see what you're saying now. What they need is
00:08:43
Speaker
They need to put the right down the waiting in the time window in there. That's what they need to do. Because otherwise decibels is meaningless. There's also no reference. Oh, right. I guess because it was already pretty loud. If if it's DBA, then the implied reference is 20 micro pascals, but or millipascals. So anyway. Anyway, very good for. Oh, that's the other thing. If it is the Guinness World Record, I'm sure they're going to measure
00:09:14
Speaker
the same way every time. At least they should, but still. They should. It's not a good way to measure a peak level. All right. Rhino would leave Man of War at the end of 1994 to pursue other musical avenues, including guest performances on various albums until 2005, when the melodic heavy metal band Holy Hell was formed under Joey DeMio's magic circle music label. Now I saw Holy Hell when they opened for Man of War, and I didn't realize Rhino was in there.
00:09:44
Speaker
Only held tour with Manowar from 2005 through 2009. It was in 2008 when Rhino reunited with Manowar to play multiple concerts, including the Magic Circle Festival and a record-breaking five-hour and one-minute concert at the Covarna Rockfest in Bulgaria. Is the one minute significant? Can we just say a five-hour concert? I don't know. But they also didn't say if it was loud. Yeah, it wasn't as loud as that.
00:10:11
Speaker
That German one, for sure. Right. Rhino would go on to form his own symphonic metal band, Angel's Babylon, which produced two records. Hey, three records now, ass. I'm calling...
00:10:25
Speaker
I'm not calling Rhino an ass. No, no, no. He's not an ass. Which produced two records, Kingdom of Evil and Thunder God. Additionally, Rhino played drums for metal legend, Jack Star's Burning Star performing on the albums, Land of the Dead, Stand Your Ground. Oh, that's a cringy title. Uh-oh. Well, luckily it came out in 2017.
00:10:48
Speaker
In the 2022 release, Souls of the Innocent, Rhino is currently writing and recording an album with former Manowar bandmate and guitarist David Schenkel, who also performed on The Triumph of Steel. Oh, my God.
00:11:04
Speaker
All right. So well, you missed one. You missed one rhino side project, which is he has joined Italian dreamy metal guy Andrea Garibaldi, also known as Andy Morinar in the band Morinar. And I think Morinar sounds enough like a drunk person saying Manowar that they might just be trying to get some some listens there.
00:11:32
Speaker
Maybe that's how it happened. All right. Um, the artwork looks like your, uh, standard, standard Prague metal fair, AKA like a final fantasy cover. Yeah, basically with, uh, the, the, uh, logos, just the font with like a metal sheet on it. And the album titles, another font that I think could be placed better on this artwork.
00:12:01
Speaker
Yeah, well, I don't like the placement of the Aquarius. There are some, you know, there's various issues with, you know, the waiting. Yeah, I wish Doug were here. He would have a lot more to say about that. It's okay. It's fine. It's not great. Okay, so, for rating.
00:12:29
Speaker
Man, Rhino is easily the most talented drummer with the possible exception of Anders Johansson. It was Anders, right? Yeah. That Johansson guy who was in Hammerfall, who neither Hammerfall nor Manowar let actually play anywhere near up to his skill level. Maybe that's why Rhino left. What are you doing playing so much?
00:12:58
Speaker
Slow it down, you know. Rhino's a fantastic drummer. I don't know anything about his singing. But symphonic metal, I'm going to have to go all the way to two ears on this.
00:13:14
Speaker
I'm sorry. When you said something like that, I once knew a guy who was a horrible, uh, he, he couldn't sing. But at one point he said, and I sing like an angel and he, he meant it too. Um, but that's not the case of right now.
00:13:30
Speaker
I believe that Rhino is a good singer and a good drummer. Two hard things to do. Harder to do at the same time. I'm intrigued by Kevin Burns. I think he's a good boy. And I believe that Ned Bologna does a decent job. He's the bassist who cares. So I will also give them two ears. Wow. Perfect score. Looks like Doug's trying to get in. Uh-oh.
00:13:57
Speaker
But I don't know if he'll be successful. I don't know if he will. Well, he missed the Rhino one because next we're moving on to the Rods. Oh, the Rods. This one came several days later. I have a bad feeling that we've given out all the two years we're going to this NPR.
00:14:23
Speaker
for a media worldwide release to print slash online music media representatives. Hey, that's us. Reviewers. That is us. And Rogue Radio program directors slash radio show DJs. That's also us. That's kind of us.
00:14:40
Speaker
The Rods, the legendary New York heavy metal power trio are providing their new album, Rattle the Cage, which is improperly capitalized for worldwide media review and radio airplay via a second wave promotional campaign through OMPPR. Okay, you didn't need to say that straight off the bat.
00:15:05
Speaker
Your first PR campaign didn't work. So now you have to go with another company and then you force them to leak to everyone that they were the second choice. Anyway, the album was independently released by Massacre Records Germany. Massacre. Massacre. I need that. I don't know. That's what you're fucking need. Yeah. But I do have this one. You have this number one.
00:15:34
Speaker
All right, the album was independently released by Massacre Records Germany on January 19, 2024. Rattle the Cage, featuring veteran members David Rock Feinstein, guitar vocals, and Carl Cannady, drums, is also the studio debut of Freddie Vellano, bass-backing vocals, another good abode.
00:15:59
Speaker
Wait, I'm not sure if I can guess which one is him in this promo picture. Oh no. The Rod's drummer, Carl Canetti, writes, Live at the Rose Hall was our first live album released with Freddie as a new bassist.
00:16:18
Speaker
Now, rattle the cage, with Freddy making his studio debut on a new The Rods album, shows everyone that The Rods are truly alive and well in the new music department and still kicking serious ass. The Rods rattle the cage tracklist. Now and forever, wolves at the door cry out loud, rattle the cage, can't slow down metal highways. Oh no, can't slow down on the metal highways.
00:16:44
Speaker
You might get a metal ticket. Hell or high water. Play it loud. Shockwave. Hearts of steel. Not to be confused with man o'wars. Hearts of steel. Hearts multiple. I do wish that it was play it loud slash play it clear. It would be all man o'wars. Let's see.
00:17:08
Speaker
What? Weird. Okay. Um, mixed and mastered by Chris Collier at CMC 21 Productions, Las Vegas, Nevada cover art by Mark Rizzo. Mark Rizzo was an either guitarist from, from like soul fly. I think that's like the full name of that rat in the Muppets.
00:17:31
Speaker
Rattle the cage. Oh, this is, this is very man award. Check this out. Rattle the cage is best played louder than loud. So crank it up. It says that in the promo. Fuck yeah, man. The rods biography. The rods are a story to every metal band that rocked their way through the eighties with a powerful raw energy that had fans and critics alike calling them the American motor head. Wow.
00:17:58
Speaker
Once the go-to opening act for some of the biggest metal bands in the world, the Rods toured throughout the 80s with the likes of Judas Priest. Hey, you know...

Introduction to The Rods

00:18:07
Speaker
You know Priest number one! Osse-Osmorn and Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden. Iron Maiden.
00:18:19
Speaker
That's just for post-2000 Iron Maiden. Among others, along with contemporaries like Anvil and Raven, the Rods are an integral part of what is commonly recognized today as Heavy Metal's golden age and emerged during the new wave of British Heavy Metal. In 2019, the Rods released Brotherhood of Metal on SPV, quite possibly the band's most tightly knit album since the late 80s. Yeah, fuck the new one. Oh, yeah.
00:18:46
Speaker
I mean, the ones in the 90s are pretty much crap, so don't listen to those, but start again here. Okay, there's a bunch of quotes from people about the last album, and then writing that wave of enthusiasm, the Rods are back to playing live post-pandemic with a lineup that features the guys I already talked about. Let's see, they headline some festival in Central New York. Oh, in Cortland. Yeah, that's why they said Central New York.
00:19:17
Speaker
Oh, no, we're Cortland is, um, blah, blah, blah, blah. Something about a power lover. Let them eat metal discography. Here we go. Let them. Let's let them eat metal. A song. Okay. I don't know. It's too much. This, this promo is just too much. Uh, let's see.
00:19:40
Speaker
discography rock hard 1980 the rods 1981 full throttle EP 81 wild dogs 82 in the raw 83 live 83 let them eat metal 84 Hollywood, Canadian Feinstein board Don narrow and coddle 86 heavier than thou what's actually the title of biography vengeance 2011 brotherhood of metal 2019 and rattled the cage
00:20:09
Speaker
2024. And man, the guitars looks like a mini Joey DeMaio. I hope he's not mad at me for saying that. Wait, wait. Are you talking about, what's his name? David Rock Feinstein? I believe I am.
00:20:32
Speaker
His first band, a band that formed in 1967, he played this band with his cousin. Do you know his cousin's name? Feinstein. What year? 1967.
00:20:57
Speaker
Gene Simmons. Ronnie James Dio. Oh my God. He asked Dave, who at the time barely played the guitar, if he could replace the guitarist in Ronnie Dio and the Prophets. He accepted and later handled the strings in Electric Elves, Elves and Elf. That's amazing.
00:21:24
Speaker
That's amazing. All right. Uh, album cover is three wolves in a poorly constructed cave. Oh, I thought it was a lot more sense if it's three wolves. Cause there's three guys, right? It's a power trio. Okay. Uh, you know what? I might have to give this two years. Yeah. You know,
00:21:47
Speaker
It's classic heavy metal. I'm curious about the power trio aspect. I know it can be done. I just haven't heard it done well in a long time. And if anyone's gonna do it right, it's gonna be guys who have been doing it since the 80s.
00:22:02
Speaker
I can't help but agree. I mean, I was skeptical coming in. I will say we need to work on your promo picture and maybe update your logo because right now it looks like the promo picture for a motorcycle podcast.
00:22:18
Speaker
You know, and like the rods could be some kind of like engine something. So we need to work on that. The rods, although rods are often made of metal. Yeah. I don't know if it sounds like a punk name.
00:22:36
Speaker
Well, I mean the band formed in 1980. Yeah If this was a new band I'd say bad name But it's a classic band. So good name. I mean maybe like Dave Feinstein's the rods I don't know. I don't know how you fix this but But yeah, no, it's it's I
00:23:02
Speaker
update the logo, but it's going to be a fine album. Just to be pedantic, I'm going to give it a 1.9 just because I'm slightly less excited about this than a rhinos project, but still, this is a fine piece of work. They paid their dues, except for the new guy. Fuck you. Get back to work.
00:23:26
Speaker
And yeah, this is gonna be great. You know, they're making them all the equipment. I mean, I also remember he's the basis. So like, if he doesn't show up, who cares? Well, that's the thing about a power trio, you know, you can be the new guy for 30 years. Yeah. I've been in this band since 1998. They're like, whatever, new guy. I'll learn your name one day, maybe.
00:23:53
Speaker
You'll get a name when you deserve a name, new guy. Man, I can't wait. I can't wait for the, the, I mean, I'm not wishing this on anyway, but you know, what if there's like a falling out and we get to see the rods versus Freddy Volano's, the rods. All right. Shadow dance. SVs, rods. You're going to want to listen closely to this one.
00:24:20
Speaker
for a media worldwide release to print slash online media rec representatives and radio program directors, DJ slash DJs.
00:24:31
Speaker
I'm the program director. You can be the DJ. All right. Shadow dance. Philadelphia power metal pioneers return with their rerecorded debut

Shadowdance's Re-recording of 'Ageless'

00:24:44
Speaker
album. Wait, wait, wait, wait. I know providing it for worldwide media review and radio airplay. Okay. Hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Okay. Let me read it again. Yeah, I'm going to need, I'm going to need some help here. Shadow dance.
00:24:59
Speaker
Philadelphia Power Metal Pioneers. Return with their re-recorded debut album, Ageless. If you re-record the Ageless album, that implies that it did in fact age. Does it not?
00:25:24
Speaker
I love cutting off the laughter. That's the best part. All right. So it's ageless, but we had to update it. The reissue of ageless.
00:25:38
Speaker
Alright, Shadowdance Age... Oh, it was released... It's out now. Go get it. February 9th, 2024, via Dive Bomb Records. Shadowdance Age-less Album Tracklist. Another day. I assume that's a Dream Theater cover. Climb. I assume that's the sequel to Free Falling.
00:25:59
Speaker
as I'm free. Gilded cage, which I guess, is that the cage that gets rattled by the rods? I don't know. Justified set three hollow stones in a river ageless line in the sand. I guess that's the prequel to Dream Theater's lines in the sand. Yeah, there's just one. There's just one right now. Leave the pain and forever, which I can only assume is a Beach Boys cover.
00:26:29
Speaker
Oh, so this track list is slightly different. Oh, yeah. All right. Let's go through it again. Never mind. I'm just paying attention. OK, it is. It is the same. Another day. Climb gilded cage justified set free hollow stones in a river ageless line in the sand. Leave the pain and forever. OK. Shadow dance band lineup. Carlos Alvarez guitars bass keys backing vocals. George Elias and lead and backing vocals. OK.
00:26:57
Speaker
Jason Fraticelli on drums and Brad Pondish on bass for fans of early. Oh, sorry. Shadow dance. Did you like our first album? You're going to love this one. Uh, Angel dust.
00:27:15
Speaker
Early gamma ray I see finally finally a band a band has qualified a band like a fans of with the proper With like a an era, but is that necessary first gamma ray? They did what we wanted them to do, but I don't think they needed to I
00:27:45
Speaker
That's probably fair. I'm a fan of early Weird Al Yankovic. Brainstorm, Tad Moros, and I know Tom really liked both those bands, as well as Gamma Ray. Anyway, Devin Townsend's Ocean Machine.
00:28:04
Speaker
All right. All right. And I bet if Mike were here, he'd tell us all. Yeah, we need Mike. And if Dave were here, he'd bring up fish. So band biography hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Shadow Dance was formed in the late 90s by guitarist slash songwriter Carlos Alvarez with Jason Fratticelli, Brad Pundish, and George Eliason.
00:28:25
Speaker
Hey original lineup how about that to craft a timeless brand of powerful metal infused with progressive and atmospheric elements crushing riffs blinding speed exotic textures and classical melodies are of only a few of the tools utilized always pushing boundaries shadow dance
00:28:44
Speaker
Definitely takes this core in twists and subtle hints of everything from black metal to old school thrash to 70s style hard rock. A truly seamless blend of heaviness and aggression, speed and epic bombast, and nowhere is this more evident than on their multifaceted debut recording, ageless. But it's not their debut recording, it's their debut re-recording.
00:29:10
Speaker
No, no, no. Oh, they're talking about the other album. Maybe the first one, yeah. Ageless, which was originally released in 2000 to international critical acclaim featuring 11 songs in just under an hour. Ageless is a musical journey exploring the light and darken us all effortlessly shifting gears from the catchy mid-tempo groove and commercial appeal of Gilded Cage
00:29:33
Speaker
the gargantuan rift book grandiose and uplifting title track to the furious but focused power thrash of hollow and finally the epic nine minute close-in forever. Is that how long it takes to listen to it? Sounds like it.
00:29:48
Speaker
The ending of which propels the listener through eternity and breakneck speed, showcasing shadow dance of their best, expressing powerful songs with incredibly memorable melodies. Every composition is masterfully imbued with its own personality and flair. No two songs sound alike, yet there is a common stylistic edge that links them lyrically. They weave intricate stories based on the duality of life stories that anyone can relate to.
00:30:19
Speaker
Ageless is a re-envisioned presentation of the original self-released edition from 2000. Re-recorded almost entirely from the ground up. Only the original drum tracks and some keyboards were... Hey, how come the drummer got out of there? That's some bullshit.
00:30:34
Speaker
And some keyboards? And some keyboards. Guitar, bass, and most importantly, lead vocals. The 2000 recordings had to make use of a last-minute session vocalist have been completely redundant. So I have a feeling this was done without the band being involved.
00:30:56
Speaker
Uh, wait, I think it, I, well, like, I think the one guy who plays guitar based keys and backing vocals kept the drums, rerecorded everything else and hired a session book. I'm pretty sure that's what's going on.
00:31:13
Speaker
Yeah, that makes sense. At last, all right, let's keep going, see what happens. At last, featuring the originally intended singer, George Elias, and whose undeniable talents expertly project the wild range of emotion that Shadowdance's music represents, okay? The album also features a number of notable guest performers, including John Yelland,
00:31:41
Speaker
Judicator Dire Peril, John Phipps Moonspell Angra Amorphous, Tony Sanacandro Jobburg Cowboy, and Matt Hudson Chaos Frame Noble Beast, among others.
00:31:57
Speaker
With a brand new mix by Alvarez, studying mastering by Brett Kaldas, Lima, Ariane Devontals and Sinek, et cetera, a tower studio, and even all new artwork, Ageless has finally achieved its true form, how it was meant to be experienced all those years ago. Okay. The end. All right. The artwork is a Triskelion thing. Yeah.
00:32:26
Speaker
Uh, on against some clouds. I like shadow dance. No shadows. Cause it's overcast. I mean, this is not, so I'm looking at the original release. This is not the original artwork and weirdly.
00:32:46
Speaker
The original artwork looks a lot more modern, and this looks a lot more 2000 to me. So there's some irony there. Oh, you know, this original one just like you could slap a new bus gate on here and it go. Yeah, definitely. Right. It's just like
00:33:09
Speaker
Like it's just like blurry and kind of blotchy. But I, oh, and they did, okay, so they did keep the ageless. So that's the same ageless. And they did, that is roughly the same logo. It's funny because you keep turning away from the microphone. So it sounds like this. Real, real. Yeah, so it is the same logo. Oh yeah, I forgot because my mic is on the other side now.
00:33:38
Speaker
Um, so yeah, I mean, I don't, uh, it's okay. The promo was confusing. That fourth guy was not on the original. Right. Wait, the vocal, the vocalist was not George Eliason was not on the original.
00:33:58
Speaker
Right. On the original, they had a session musician named Russ Friend. And I guess not anymore. Not anymore. Okay. So that we've gotten to the bottom of that. Could that have been like a, uh, I dunno, a record label decision? I don't know. Maybe.
00:34:24

Who knows? Apparently it's the only thing this Russ guy has ever done. Huh? Interesting. Well, thanks for erasing Russ friend from history guys. Also I'm noticing forever on the new one is 16 minutes. 16 minutes. No, I, I have it on the old one is 16 the old one, but didn't that say it was nine minutes. There's a, you know,

Well, there is a possibility that someone on metal archives was lazy. Could be, could be. All right. Oh, oh, oh, oh, spoiler alert. There is a hidden. Oh, okay. Hidden track. Hidden track. Leave the, you had leave the pain listed on that track list, right? Yes.
00:35:20
Speaker
Okay. So it looks like leave the pain is they, because it's fucking 2000, they did the, they did the whole secret track after like eight minutes of silence or whatever. Oh, that's, I love that. That's classic. I'm all for that. All right. Here's, you know, people will be waiting for their CD changer to go and they'll be so, they'll get angry. Like what the fuck? And then
00:35:49
Speaker
Hey, that's a lot. Artica did it. I started it. Jay Z did it. You know, in the before times. Yeah.
00:36:03
Speaker
Yeah. Uh, the, the other thing I'm noticing here is ageless released 2000 and their second album in 2012 future negative fantasy. And then ageless comes out again in 2024. So in 2036, we're going to get another recording of future negative fantasy and that's going to be great. So I'm going to give that one two years. This one, uh, they, they didn't, you know, anytime they talked about the music.

I'm fine with it, but not super excited. So I'm going with 1.4 ears. That's right, 70% of each of my ears. Yeah, I think that sounds about right. I for one would have just called this re-release

present positive reality Personally Or maybe or maybe aged, you know just I would have had some fun with the re-release You know for their many many fans
00:37:08
Speaker
But I'll still give it, I'll still give it, I'll give it a 1.7 as well. This might be one of the highest. I gave it a 1.4. Oh, well then no, 1.3 it is. So yeah, that subtracts the difference, 1.3.
00:37:24
Speaker
But this is still a fairly high scoring NPR, I must say. Yeah, I think it's one of the longest at a long time and one of the highest scoring in a long time. So that is, you know, congratulations to all the bands. And I would like to say for people who are complaining, you know, maybe in these cases we
00:37:48
Speaker
Wait, there's an advantage to not listening to your records and just going on. All right, send those letters to mad at podcast them down dot com. Not these bands, but other bands that we didn't include until next time.

Metal Nation, if you're going to start a power trio, build a time machine first, because otherwise it won't be any good.
