Speaker
Hello and welcome everybody to another episode of the Un-Comi-Wealth Podcast, where I'm your host, Phillip Ramsey. Today, I'm coming at you with a simple step. The mindset, I think that is super important and what it is, is thinking about everything you do as an an investment.

Speaker
um Sometimes I get in this trap of like thinking of things that we can do as a family and just think of all the money that's going out and not thinking about it as an investment. So this mindset came to me when a buddy of mine went to Florida and took his family to Disneyland or Disney World, whatever the one in Florida is, you get it. And I i texted, I was like, hey, great job investing in your family. And I'm like, huh?

Speaker
I don't think i think of of things like that that i do as investing in my family sometimes i think of just ah the cash flow and the amount of money that i'm spending on these things instead of thinking things as an investment then it started making me kind of like domino effect this thing of like, okay, my time is investment as well.

Wise Time Investment with Family

Speaker
How do I spend my time? And if I spend with my family, is it intentional? Am I being a good Stewart and investing wisely in intentional times, my family, or am I distracted or am I not being present? um And so two things that I thought was really kind of a fun exercise for me at the moment was

Speaker
How do you invest in your family or the things that are most important to you? If it's health, how are you investing in your health? Money-wise, monetary-wise, time-wise, things like that. So that was that was kind of cool. And then if you sit down and I've talked about this, prioritizing what's valuable to you. And if you did that, then if you thought about your time and your money as an investment, are you investing in things that are most important to you?
00:02:17
Speaker
Man, that's super convicting to me because sometimes I feel like I just don't or I have a different mindset or I'm I'm i'm frustrated because this is that or we have another doctor bill instead of thinking like, oh, this is a great investment. This is a priority of mine. I'm very happy to invest in this.

to make sure that my core values stay intact.

Memory Dividends & Valuing Experiences

00:02:39
Speaker
So I hope this is fun for you to hear, for you to start thinking about what are you investing your time, talents, and resources in. And I hope it's valuable to you. I hope that you next time you go on a trip with your family, you're like, this was an amazing investment or what is it, memory dividends? I read a book called Die with Zero, kind of a crazy, interesting book, but I liked it, because he said, I want to start investing in memory that pays dividends forever. Things that you've done with a family that you enjoyed, those are memory dividends, and I want to invest in things like that. Even if I die with zero, I want to invest in memory dividends with my family, with my friends, my loved ones, so.
