Political Violence and Personal Reflections

00:02:16
Speaker
Guys, um yeah, so it's it's it's it's it's a weird time right now in America. Do you feel me? um So it seems like every generation has some sort of. Tragedy that befalls.
00:02:36
Speaker
um So I know, um, my parents generation, they had the the JFK assassination. Um, when I was growing up, uh, president Reagan, um, had an assassination attempt. Um, and then, you know, for my kids and, you know, I'm, you know, obviously I'm still alive, but the assassination temp yesterday on, uh, president, um, well, former president Trump. Um, I, don't, don't like to talk politics. So I'm not going to get into the politics of anything. Um, but it's just, it's heartbreaking that someone could take the life of another person. I say that in meaning an unwarranted ah attempt at someone's life.
00:03:32
Speaker
Now, if someone say broke into your house and was threatening you and your family, maybe they had a weapon of some sort, then you know that in self-defense, a hundred percent, that would be a life or death situation. But to just go out and try to take someone's life for their political views, that I, I just can't, can't see. It's just horrible. Um, no matter how bad things get, um,
00:04:20
Speaker
there's, there's and there's no way that I could see it being okay to take justice in your own hands. Um, not even justice as in, um, cause former president Trump, I don't think has done anything to warrant someone taking his life. Um, like I said, I'm not, I'm not going on sides of politics. People, some people can say that, you know, he's done this and that. And I don't really know. I don't really care. I'm just talking about the, uh,
00:05:00
Speaker
life is precious. Let me just put it that way. And I believe that no matter who you are, that you deserve better. You deserve to go through the justice system, right?

Online Reactions and Christian Beliefs

00:05:16
Speaker
Um, and I believe that taking things into your own hands is not, is not a good thing. There are, you know, people who do that kind of thing, but it shouldn't be us. You know, I mean, you can go and you can, you can protest, you can do all these things, but I mean, there's people that lost their lives that were innocent, that were in the background. That's, that's unacceptable. And I just want to say that I strongly
00:05:57
Speaker
am against what happened yesterday. um And it's just not good.
00:06:05
Speaker
Um, and I know I was, I was on Instagram and I was looking through and I knew this was going to happen because it's the first thing that I thought of. There's all these people like, Oh, you know, it's, you know, Donald Trump's Antichrist. I was like, what? And then I started thinking, I was like, yeah, well, you know, it does say that, um, you know, there will be a, you know, a head wound. And then he will recover. But I don't, I don't think he suffered that big of a head wound. And also if you guys, if there's someone on trying to communicate with me on YouTube right now, I'm sorry. I am using a different software and I cannot see what you're talking. Let me see if I can use her studio chat. Yeah. I cannot see if anyone is talking to me around there. Okay. I think I may have a light chat up. I don't know. But anyways,
00:06:59
Speaker
I just want to say that, uh, I love everyone and, um, I think there's redemption for everyone. No matter who you are or what you're, what you've done, there's always redemption in, um, hope. And, uh, I know there's a lot of people that that don't agree with me. i'm I'm a Christian and, um, it's fine if you're not. Um, but I believe, you know, through Jesus Christ, there's always redemption. And no matter what you've done, you can ask for forgiveness and Jesus will be there with an open hand to grab you and pull you out of whatever you're in, no matter where you're at in life. So just be thankful that there's that hope out there.
00:07:55
Speaker
that there is grace for each and every one of us. Um, one thing this morning, I think I heard, um, when I was at church, our pastor said that Trump actually this morning said something to the effect of that, um, it was by the grace of God that he was alive. And and I don't, you know, question the walk of people. I don't question where they're at. Um, I don't question, uh, you know, their beliefs. Um, like I said, I believe anyone can change. Anyone can, um, can turn their turn from their ways and accept Christ no matter where they're at in their walk. Um, but yeah, so I mean, who knows? I mean, who knows? Uh, it was,
00:08:49
Speaker
It was a big coincidence because I watched the footage and I noticed that, you know, at the last second, it was like he turned his head. And I mean, it was. You know, it it was. I mean, if it wasn't divine intervention, then it was a big coincidence of what happened. So I don't know. But anyways,

Origins of AFK Discussions and Supernatural Tales

00:09:10
Speaker
that's enough of that. Let's get back let's get to the spooky stuff. So, um, I'm going to start off cause I had a question. I was on a podcast midnight in the mountains with Laura and, um, Aaron, I think that's the name. I'm sorry if I forgot your name. Um, and they asked me a question and it's something I haven't talked about in a while. So what does AFK stand for? What is AFK discussion? So AFK discussions is away from keyboard discussions and that's what
00:09:43
Speaker
you know like if you are So the whole thing started off with me and my buddy, Ty. Ty, if you're listening, I miss you, buddy. I hope everything's going great with your family. um But so we were we were at work and we would get up and start talking like, hey, you know what what's going on? you know What do you think about time travel? And obviously we were away from our keyboard, so you know it just kind of became an AFK discussion. And that's where the name front came from. so Just, uh, you know, people out there who wondered and that's, that's the whole thing. AFK away from keyboard. Um, sorry for rambling guys, but, um, so we want to have a guest on, you know, a little bit, and, um, I'm just kind of, um, eating up some time here for a bit. But so I know that, you know, way, I talked about some of my experiences that I had way back, I think episode like two or three. So I'll just go through some of those real quick. So.
00:10:41
Speaker
When I was very little, um like I think I was maybe two or three. So I was sitting in my high chair and my mother and my grandmother were cooking in the kitchen. And they this is from them, they told me this when I got older. They said that you were sitting there eating and um we heard all this talking coming from around you, but no one was there. So that that, you know, is pretty strange. I mean, definitely a supernatural thing. um They said they heard multiple voices laughing and just talking. um I don't know.
00:11:20
Speaker
what to make of it. Um, both my grandpa, my grandmother and my mother have passed. Um, that's definitely, definitely weird. Definitely, definitely strange. Um, so later on, um, we moved into this house. Um, we still live like behind it. It was an an old house and we tore the house down and we built a new house where it was the land had been my, my family for years and years and years. Um, And I had friends over and one of the friend said he woke up and there was like a ghost rat on his face and
00:11:57
Speaker
He pretty much got really scared and caught his parents in and had them come pick it up, pick him up. Um, shortly after that nightly, I would start seeing this entity, um, which I called, what did I call it? It's like a tumbleweed type entity. It looked like it was you know moving around and hovering over my face. Um, and this nightly happened for years. I would see this thing. Um, And I don't when when um once I moved down my parents house, it kind of stopped and I haven't had any more experiences with that. um Also, I have a bunch more experiences and I was actually on Midnight in the Mountains. So if you guys want to go check out Midnight in the Mountains, there's the full story of everything I've been through in my life. And um it was a really good show and I'm happy that they had me on. um
00:12:52
Speaker
so let's see so I really have haven't talked about Bigfoot in a while. So let's just let's chat a little bit about um Sasquatch. So I have a friend, if you remember, that was having some activity on his property. I haven't had a chance to get back over there, but he he had sent me some videos and stuff of of clicking and it is still boggles my mind because it it sounds like rocks. clicking together. And I know that, you know, there's a lot of theories I've been doing research on about how Sasquatch supposedly communicate. And um a lot of them communicate by clicking rocks, like making chatter. um A lot of people think it's their teeth, like they're clicking their teeth, like, which actually
00:13:45
Speaker
Now that I think of that that, that does sound a lot like the audio that you sent me. That's weird. had never Until doing that right now, I'd never thought about it. um I know it's a theory, but you know after hearing that, that's that's crazy. I may have to talk to him about that. um But yeah, so that's another weird thing. um But it's definitely strange, the whole Bigfoot thing. I really do believe that there are creatures, like especially in East Tennessee, there's so many forested areas that are uninhabited. they um they There has to be more out there than what we knew. But there's there's just so much strangeness in the world that just people people don't know about.
00:14:38
Speaker
um But yeah, so I'm just, I'm wondering if there will ever be disclosure around the whole cryptid phenomenon.

Health Scare and Divine Intervention

00:14:52
Speaker
I mean, there's so many others, there's Mothman. this list Let's just go down the list. montman Mothman, Goatman, Bigfoot. um theyre so was it chopacabra There's, There's There's Cherokee Little People. Gosh, there's so many. Puckwudgies. My buddy, my bro Phil, you know, everyone knows Phil, my bro. The Puckwudgy Master.
00:15:19
Speaker
Um, so there's just so many, uh, in America alone, it seems like there's, there's tons, but then, you know, if you go out into other, there's like the ring pin deck, I think that's in China. Um, there's the, there's Australia. There's a bunch, I think down there. Of course, Australia, I mean, gosh, everything will just kill you in Australia. They have like spiders that are like the size of Volkswagen's. Um, but yeah, there's just so much weirdness in the world. I really, I mean, gosh, you know, the one thing I wish I knew everything there was with the, um, with the strangeness, but you know, this one thing, you know, probably we'll never find out. Um,
00:16:07
Speaker
You know, but, i you know, like I said before, I'm a Christian. Maybe when, you know, dying go to heaven, maybe God will say, hey, Jason, remember this entity you were thinking about, this Bigfoot? Well, guess what? That is. and That would be awesome to find out, you know. um But it's I'm I'm be honest right now, I'm having a hard time trying to do this solo. I'm just being honest. It's weird talking to yourself. And it's, I'm trying to stay on task, but I'm so ADHD. It's like really hard to keep my thoughts straight because I don't have anyone to bounce off of. I don't know. Have you, have you guys ever like dealt with that before? Have you ever tried to talk to nothing? That is so weird guys. I'm serious. It's definitely a learning situation.
00:17:00
Speaker
to try to keep focused and not say anything too crazy. Because you know me, I mean, if you've listened to this show, I say some crazy stuff sometimes. um But yeah, I mean, there's two people watching right now. So I'm i'm mix pumped up about that. I wish I could hear like or talk to you, because that would be really cool. But guess what? I can't the chats not working. I really wish I could see the chat. um See, if I'm going to I'm going to try to go over here to YouTube and watch it live myself. And let's see if I can actually see if there's anybody chatting with me. Oh, we don't sound. Yeah, I know. I don't see anybody chatting, I don't think. Anyways, so.
00:17:46
Speaker
It's it's cool, though. You know, it's cool to have a podcast to have a platform that, you know, you sometimes you can just get on and just get everything off your head because, you know, sometimes you need to clear your head. Like earlier, you know, I kind of went on a ramble about how I think killing is wrong. um And I mean, it's it's good. I mean, like so, guys, let me let me tell you, let me tell you something I have never talked about on air. This this is a good one. OK. So I guess about two years ago now, um it was January 1st, New Year's Day. ah No, actually it was. Yeah, it was New Year's Day. I started having heart palpitations and it was very, very weird.
00:18:35
Speaker
So I didn't, you know, I didn't think anything of it. I was like, okay, yeah, everything everything's fine. Um, so I think it was the third or the fourth of January, I got up to go to work. And when I woke up, my heart was like, it felt like it was flipping in my chest, right? Like it would, it would beat and then stop. in the beat three times and stop and beat once, stop beat like four times. It was very and an irregular heart rate heartbeat. Um, so I started freaking out, right? Freaking the F out. Um,
00:19:14
Speaker
I tell my wife, I was like, I don't know what's going on. I think I'm dying. Um, I am going to go to the hospital. Um, so I got in my car and I drove myself to the hospital because we have kids and, um, my wife had to take them to school. Um, I got to the hospital and needless to say I was, freaking out. Um, I'm there by myself. I think I'm dying and it was one of the probably scariest times of my life. So I go back, you know, they hooked me up to all the machines. Um,
00:19:59
Speaker
I'm like balling my eyes out telling them, you know, I have kids and I don't want to die. Um, and the other, they're like, Oh, you're fine. You're fine. So they, they check my heart rate out and stuff. And my blood pressure is like sky high. Um, my heart rate, I think it had calmed down at that time. Um, so I go back out to the waiting room and my wife shows up. My wife had, uh, I told her to just go to work. Um, but she came and, you know, as soon as I saw her walk in the door, uh, you know, started, I just started bawling my eyes out. Um, I was like, you know, I felt like I was dying.
00:20:41
Speaker
Then, uh, I go back and I see the doctor and they're like, you know, we got your blood test results. Um, it looks like, you know, there's, there's something on your blood test that could possibly be signs of a blood clot. And so. I lose my crap because that scares me to death, because I know that you know if if a blood clot releases, then you know its it could be very, very bad. um So they take me and give me MRI, and I'm just like flipping out. um So I went and...
00:21:27
Speaker
um i'm I'm very scared of the time and I'm just praying to God to just like save me. I want to see my kids grow up. Um, and they, they said that you know they did the MRI, they'd all, all the scans, all the tests, and they didn't find anything. So there was no blood clots. Um, everything was, was okay. So that, that I don't know. how everything was okay, but I would like to believe that God took care of me. Um, but you know, when I've still to this day, I have a heart palpitations. I'm on my, I'm on medication for my blood pressure and stuff, but, uh, still occasionally it'll, my heart will like skip a beat and stuff, which still freaks me out really bad, but I've never told you guys, um,
00:22:23
Speaker
about that, but it's, it's, it's very, um, it's very scary to have the thought of your own mortality, to face it face to face, you know, and it's very, to be, be there by yourself. Um, I know it's not my wife's fault cause she had to take my kids to school, but to be there by yourself in a hospital, thinking that you could die at any moment. is terrifying. All, all these thoughts going through your head to like, you know, I'll never see my kids again. Oh, I'll never do this. I'll never do that. Um, yeah, ah it's hard to explain facing, facing that and especially, uh, facing it alone is I wouldn't wish that on anyone, but you know, good news is I'm still here.
00:23:20
Speaker
My heart's still beating. I am still talking crazy, exploring the weird. But yeah, so it's just, it's just, uh, something I've never shared before. And I thought I'd just tell you guys, cause, um, yeah, it was definitely one of the scariest times of my life. Um, beyond paranormal things

Laura's Experiences and Health Scare

00:23:42
Speaker
that have happened. I think that. the the life or death is, I think, scarier than any paranormal experience you could have, which I think maybe that's why whenever I go into a um like ghost hunting or something like that, ah it doesn't really scare me because I've faced like the thoughts and the the possibilities of my own you know mortality in a hospital. I think that's why maybe
00:24:12
Speaker
I just, I just don't get scared really. I mean, I i do get scared sometimes. Don't get me wrong, but, um, yeah, it's just, it's just weird. Um, but yeah, um, I don't know if Laura's coming or not. I told her to come on whenever she got a chance. So Laura is our special guest that's going to be jumping in here. So we had, um, or I had, um, some guests that couldn't make it tonight because they had a flat tire. And, um, they would be able to make it a home in time. So we just decided to reschedule. But that episode is going to be really good. So, um, there's this company named Prism. I'm not going to go into too much detail. Um, but Prism, they make, um, shaving cream. I know it sounds weird, right? So they make shaving cream for, um, the tattoo industry.
00:25:05
Speaker
And I met them at a tattoo convention and they were like, Hey, you know, we just started chatting and they gave me a sample. I came home, I shaved my head with it and it did an awesome job and I messaged them and I sit in like a little review reel and you you know, they shared it. And then we started just talking and I was like, Hey, yeah, you know, I have a podcast. If you want to come on and talk about your, You know, your, your product, you know, I'd be glad to have you on because it was really good product. And, um, so they, they said, okay, we'll, uh, we'll do that. And then, um, I said, well, you know, there's one caveat. You have to have a spooky story or two. So they like, yo, yeah, we got you covered. So anyways, they couldn't make it. So we had to reschedule and, um, we'll give them on soon, but, uh, Laura is here a Laura. Can you hear me? Yep.
00:26:01
Speaker
Awesome, so I've been rambling like a madman. Have you gotten yourself in trouble yet? Maybe. ah People keep but listening and then leaving, so maybe. um But and i can't the chat's not working. I don' i don't know what what's up with that. But anyways, um yeah, I just told a ah story that I'd never told on here about ah how I almost died once. And, uh, yeah, so, uh, two years ago, I woke up on New Year's Eve and I started having heart palpitations. And then like a few days later, they got worse. And so I had to go to the hospital and I mean, you can, you can go back and listen to it. I told the whole story, but yeah, it was, it was scary because, you know, I have kids, my wife took the kids to school and so I had to go to the hospital by myself. And it was, it was terrifying, you know, to think that, you know, you could possibly die nearby yourself. So that's really scary.
00:26:59
Speaker
Yeah, it is. They lasted for days or was it like on and off for a few days? It was on and off, it was on and off. But I woke up, the worst was it literally would like beat three times, stop, beat twice, stop, beat three times, stop, beat four times, you know, like very sporadic. I'm on medication now for it. What was the cause of it? I don't know, I had really high blood pressure, so I think that may have led up to it and also that had sleep apnea. Oh yeah, that doesn't help. Yeah. So I think the combination of everything, but I seem to be good, but um occasionally I will have a heart palpitation every now and then. so Yeah. That's weird that you brought that up because like, I know last time I was on here, I talked about mid orange a bunch, but like not even to kind of jump back into that, it was weird because when we were sitting at dinner, um a few of us that were investigating there,
00:27:57
Speaker
I just in the middle of dinner and I was fine but I had like a lot of stress lately and I just started getting really bad heart palpitations and I haven't had those for like that bad in a couple of years because I've definitely had them and I was like oh my god they're they're not going away and I'm just like trying to get rid of them and they're still we get to the we get to the place And we're like getting set up and getting ready and I'm still having them They're still going on and I'm just trying to ignore them and then later on in the night I hear another girl talking about having heart palpitations I'm like, I didn't say anything but I was like, what the heck and then then later on I hear There's this one guy um He's having really bad heart palpitations and I'm like
00:28:48
Speaker
I'm like, is this like a normal thing you have? Like, is this just like a, like, it just popped up? Or is this something regular you have? He's like, Oh, yeah, I have them all the time. I was like, Okay. But then, like, then he told the girl this that other girl that he was having them and she was saying that she was having them too. So I'm just like, that's so weird that like, three of us had them because even like at dinner I was saying like to my sister I'm like I hope this isn't some kind of weird psychic foretelling of like some kind of weird thing that's gonna hit me later tonight but then nothing nothing happened other than the two other people having experiencing that which I'm not saying it's paranormal but it was just weird yeah that's a super weird
00:29:32
Speaker
um Heart palpitations. I mean it's so It feels so strange, you know i sorry Yeah, I don't know like a I don't know if it's different for every person But I feel it in my neck like here and it almost like makes me want to cough You know because it feels right here to my throat. um I haven't had that I get like a pain in my chest Yeah, I just I can feel it like my in my vein right here. It almost like I don't know I can't explain it um But I don't have any pain in my chest. I just feel the Palpitations it's very strange like a almost like my heart is doing somersaults in my chest oof um Yeah, yeah, now like I kind of know I know what you mean it's ah Yeah, it's not fun at all, but apparently there's like
00:30:18
Speaker
Some are okay. It's weird. Cause I had to wear like a heart monitor for like a week and I had some, you know, you're supposed to market every time you have one and um they're like, Oh no, everything looks fine. And then I have, I have the watch and I can do the, like the EKG. Like if I start feeling, I can, I'll do it on my wrist and it's like, everything's in the parameters. So I don't know what, you know, the parameters are that we're, you know, that'd be okay, but I don't know. Well, that's good. Yeah. I mean, yeah, that stuff's scary regardless.
00:30:55
Speaker
It is very scary. Um, and also, I mean, I have anxiety and and things like that also. Yeah, I do too. That's where like mine comes from. Like, cause I like stress for sure. And then I've been having like chest pain a lot lately and stuff. And it's like, cause like years ago when that first happened, I'd be, I'd be like, Oh my God, am I dying? Am I having a heart attack? And now I'm just like, it's just stress chill out, you know, and then get over it. Yeah, I take medicine and stuff for my stretch. It's better. um I don't want to go on too much meds because I don't like medicine, you know? um But it has helped to like mellow me out. and When I first started taking it, it was, I mean, it was hard to be creative, if that makes sense. I was so just like,
00:31:48
Speaker
so mellowed out that like my creative side of my brain just couldn't function. I don't know. yeah you're just having like i don't I don't care. I just don't care. Yeah. Yeah. No, I get it. I definitely get it. Yeah. But you know, three kids on the same grade can be very stressful on top of everything else. Yeah, it's a lot. I don't have kids, but I have pets and it's like every time I turn around, there's like something knock on wood. There's something wrong. Like my dog now, cause like, you knew my cat.
00:32:21
Speaker
was bad and he's still walking around with like a head tilt and don't know if he had a stroke or a meningitis because they lost the spinal tap at the vet. They lost it? Oh my gosh. Yeah. the The doctor gets on the phone and tells me like I'm talking to him and then He's like we didn't see anything on the CAT scan and then we did the spinal tap and he's like so ah we sent out the spinal tap to the company that tests it and they said that they never got it but we've been having issues with this company so we take pictures of everything that we send out to have proof of it and
00:32:59
Speaker
low and behold they lost it and they've been having these issues and I told my sister about it and she's like what company was it and I said the name she goes yeah because my sister is a vet tech and she's like the one day they accidentally incinerated a whole day of samples. And I mean, I was, I didn't, I didn't yell at the veteran because it's not his fault, but I was like really upset because I'm like, this could be life or death for somebody's pet. Yeah. So yeah. So it's like different meds and I have to do some down and see how he does. And depending on that, we'll kind of tell me if he had a stroke or if he had, has meningitis. I'm actually hoping it was a stroke because meningitis seems
00:33:41
Speaker
like he's going to have to be have to be on medicine the rest of his life. And that's not good. Yeah. Yeah. So, yeah, I mean, I couldn't like I said, I couldn't imagine because, you know, my my cats like my babies. You know, I know they're so cute. Yeah. Yeah. So this is this is funny. Someone, you know, have you heard of people refer to their pets as fur babies? Mm hmm.
00:34:10
Speaker
So I don't know if I've said this on on the podcast before, but it cracks me up. um So when when I go to the vet and I refer to my my dog as my fur baby, they think it's cute. But when I go to my pediatrician and say my skin dog is sick, they don't like it too much.
00:34:31
Speaker
good Yeah, know I don't think they would.
00:34:38
Speaker
That's so funny. I crack up. Anytime I hear fur baby or just, you know, talking about vets, I just think about that joke. ah I'm going to think about that now when I hear that. Yeah. So we were talking um a little bit offline before you came on and. You said you had some stuff to talk about the at.

Political Climate and Historical Connections

00:35:03
Speaker
What is the battlefield Gettysburg? Yes. yeah I keep hearing I don't know if people are shooting fireworks or shooting guns, but I hear it outside. And it could be either, but I live sort of in the city, so it would not probably not be good if it was good. Yeah, hopefully it's fireworks. Yeah. But I don't know. I'm still I'm still on edge because I kind of did a rant before we before we get into Caseberg. What did you say now?
00:35:35
Speaker
At the beginning, i um I didn't say anything bad per se. um i was I was just talking about, you know, the things that happened with Trump and how it's, I don't understand how someone could take someone's life for political views, you know? I mean, And I said, you know, yeah, you know, Trump may or may not have, you know, we don't know the truth. Well, you know, who knows what what happened with all the I don't know. Anyways, what he did and was on trial for is.
00:36:12
Speaker
not worth taking someone's life for. you know that's but That's ridiculous. you know um I found out today, what like my friend read online that this actually made me cry when I found out because it struck a civilian behind him and it was a firefighter that jumped in front of his wife and I guess his child and threw himself on top of his family. And it killed him. And like that just rips my heart out. Like that should that should not be happening. Like that's disgusting. Like it is. I just I like I don't care. Like and I've seen I tried not to do it like be online too much last night because I was like, I just don't want to see the crap because like I saw people were like, oh, yeah, Republicans are
00:37:07
Speaker
are I don't know what they said but they were trying to say that like oh that that we staged it or something or whatever and I'm just I don't know just it's just ridiculous it's just disgusting yeah it is I mean I don't there was mishandling of everything if you watch like people talk about, like there's this guy who, um, the BBC interviewed that said he, he was, um, under a tree, like outside of the, you know, the, the area and just watching, you know, Trump talk or whatever. And, um, he could see the guy on the roof and he pointed up and was like, Hey guys, there's someone on the roof with the gun and no one did anything about it.
00:37:56
Speaker
Yeah, that's what, that's what I heard that they were trying to get ahold of the secret service and say, Hey, this is going on. And I, like, I don't know as to why it didn't amount to anything. Was it just too loud that they didn't hear? Like what was the, what was the deal? Like, I don't, I don't know. I don't know either. Um, but now there's stuff coming out that there was actually the secret service sniper team. Were like, you could see them like on, you know, with their weapons aimed in that direction. And they're like, they saw him and they didn't act fast enough. they just thought Was it that like, they like just sat there and paused? Like, I guess just.
00:38:38
Speaker
I don't know. it's Yeah. You would think that they, I mean, that's our job. I don't, I don't know. I don't know exactly what happened, but, and do you want it? Like then I, so I was scrolling through, um, so I have two Instagram accounts and I don't use my old personal account anymore, but my sister will send me messages and she'll send them to, my old account. So once in a while I'll click back on to see what she sent me. Yeah. So I'm scrolling through and I'm looking at these accounts that like, you know, I used to follow and I saw this thing from posted about a day ago that meta had just unblocked Trump. They are like, yep. Yeah. It said that they, they unblocked him. I have a screenshot. I could even send it to you. And it said that they unblocked him.
00:39:30
Speaker
like a day ago and the guy was like, Oh yeah, they, they all know what's coming. Like with the smiley face. And I'm like, Holy crap. I mean, to me that tells me that was freaking planned. Like, yeah. Yeah. So here's the, oh, you can't see it. Crap. I can kind of see it. But that's like the roof. Let me watch again.
00:39:54
Speaker
That's the snipers on the, the, want to really see so the secret service. Yeah. And then that's they just waited. I don't know if they hesitated or what. I don't know. It's very weird, huh? Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I can't. I can't. You know what I mean? Like, I can't say I don't want to say, oh, they did a bad job when, you know, maybe they were doing what they were in the situation in the heat, in the heat of everything. I mean, if the guy is laying on a roof and you can't
00:40:30
Speaker
fully see a weapon, then they're probably not going to act until they see, you know, you don't want it to kill an innocent person, you know? So, I mean, you can't eat without, you know, being in that person's head and you don't know what's going on, you know? Yeah, exactly. But being trained and to protect a president, you would think you would act first and ask questions later, you know, Yeah. I mean, cause, or at least they should have gotten Trump off stage. If they saw it, they should have said something and to be safe, you know, it just kind of blows my mind that this can even happen because like,
00:41:17
Speaker
I literally went to a baseball game last night and we got metal detected. We had to empty our pockets, put our, it's just like going through the airport, put your belongings in a little container and then you give it to them. They slide it through and then you walk through the metal detector and if you go off, they're going to wand you, whatever. And it's like, how can How can somebody that's running for president or ex president or something like that just be out in the open like that? I just don't understand. I don't know. It's very weird to me that somebody of such a high profile would just be like basically like a sitting duck like that. Yeah, it's just I don't know. Well, I mean, like when I was talking about this earlier, when I was rambling.
00:42:05
Speaker
Um, no, I just said that, you know, every, like, it seems like every generation there's one of these type of events, like assassinations, like you didn't have JFK. Um, well, I mean, if you go back Lincoln, um, yeah but, you know, more recently, you know, JFK, then, um, Reagan was ah didn't he have two assassination attempts on him, I think. I don't know, actually, to be honest with you. I don't know. Then can't remember. I don't know if there are any balances in attempted assassination. I think I don't know. um I don't want to speculate. But um yeah, it's just you think that we learn
00:42:52
Speaker
By now, you know. Oh, I know. I mean, i if you are trying to put forth this idea of you're a strong leader, you don't want to seem weak by, I guess, putting yourself behind a bulletproof glass or something, you know what I'm saying? Yeah, I mean, that makes sense. But the the world we live in today is absolutely nuts. It is, yeah. I don't know. 100%. Yeah, it's definitely definitely a sad event for sure. Yeah. I just, I mean, but the one thing that, um,
00:43:35
Speaker
I heard it again, like the gunshots or whatever, or something else. Anyways. Um, someone, I'm not going to say who, but, uh, you know, him posted on X last night. He said, um, let me, I'm going to quote it. Give me one second here. Um, so it said, just, uh, how do you make Trump stronger? You miss. I mean, that's true though. I mean, seriously, if you're going to,
00:44:10
Speaker
you have to do it or every, all of the people that are rallied around him are just going to rise up and be even stronger. The people who wouldn't vote for him, but supported him are now going to be out in droves to vote. That's just the truth of it to vote for him. You're saying, yeah, if, if like, there's a bunch of people that would support Trump, right? They don't vote. They just stay home. They don't, they're not voters. But now after this, they were like, yeah we got to go vote, you know? Yeah. So.
00:44:45
Speaker
Man, I could just go off on consppirate conspiracy theories and stuff like that. and And I was like, my friend was like texting me. He's like, so they think it was like, he's like, you think it was the the government? Well, I'm probably going to get you kicked off of YouTube if I keep talking. So I should probably shut up. I came on here to save you, to not get your channel taken down and listen to me now. Hey, I was good. I was being good. I was I was really like before he came on, I was really having a hard time because I'm like, i you know, I'd want to I was forcing myself not to say anything weird or go go off the rails. And I was like, even at one point, I was like, you know, it's really hard to, you know, talk to yourself for for like an hour or so. but Yeah, there's some people that can do it and they're great at it. But yeah no, I would forget what I was saying. I'd be nervous. I'd ramble on.
00:45:43
Speaker
Yeah, I did some rambling. Hey, you know, it's fine. I always ramble. So let's talk Gettysburg. Yeah. Switch switch topics. Yeah. So that was the only thing on the top of, I mean, I'm open to obviously talk about whatever, but that's the only thing that was like kind of on the top of my

Gettysburg Paranormal Investigations

00:46:05
Speaker
mind. Cause I'm going back at the end of July for the Gettysburg bash. It's kind of like a big thing. Um, there's going to be some like celeb like celebrity people there, but I'm not really kind of into that. Um, I'll probably walk around and like, look at the.
00:46:23
Speaker
table, see what people are selling. And actually Ronald Murphy, if you know who that is, he's supposed to be going. um He was actually on Tony's show once because I had told Tony, I was like, yo, you should talk to this guy because he's like all about dog man and stuff. And um so he did. He had him on the show and he's out. He lives close to like Pittsburgh, kind of. So I'm actually looking forward to seeing him because I want to would like to listen to him speak. But um other than that, like we're going to be doing some investigating. um
00:46:58
Speaker
I my group of friends is we're friends with the people that are hosting the bash. And then there's this place called the Hoffman mansion, which was I guess was used for um a hospital during the Civil War and is supposed to be extremely haunted. And my friends have investigated before. but I have not so my one friend is coming down Friday night and we're actually going to like do the two-hour investigation thing and then right after that my friend is running an investigation by herself and she's like hey do you want to help me I said sure absolutely so I'm gonna do that and then on Saturday night um they're there my friends are gonna help host investigating and then I think it like
00:47:43
Speaker
1am or something, there's no so tours scheduled. So we're allowed to be there from 1am to 3am by ourselves. So we're going to do that, which hopefully I'll have something to report back that's interesting. um And I'm definitely going to take my one friend to, it's called the Eisenhower bridge, but it's known as suicide bridge. It's like literally a quarter mile from Saks bridge. Now Saks bridge is that, that big covered red bridge. And that's supposed to be really haunted. um
00:48:19
Speaker
and I've heard a lot of people say like the tour guide like I don't know if this is true or not but I've heard a lot of people say that the tour guides will just kind of make up haunted stories about it and it's not actually haunted um I mean it very well could be because it's Gettysburg but there was a story where I guess they hung confederate soldiers off of the bridge, but i I don't think that's true. And it's weird because like every time I go there, I don't ever, I don't ever feel anything when I go to go to Sachs bridge, not saying that there's nothing there. It just might not be picking up on it. But when, if you walk from Sachs bridge over to Eisenhower bridge, and that was built in the early 19 hundreds, I think I'm don't quote me on that, but um it's a metal bridge.
00:49:07
Speaker
and the floor of it's like old oak planks and it's about a quarter mile from Saks and if you walk over it's the strangest thing. The one time I was walking over from there and my sister, it was me and my sister and Rich and it was really hot out and we could feel, we felt like we were walking into spider webs and like walking through them and that's kind of like that charge static electricity feeling that you get when there's some kind of paranormal energy around. I don't really know, you know, what it is, but I've definitely felt it way more than once in more places than one. And just all three of us were, were feeling it more like shining our flashlights, you know, and we're in the middle of an open road. So it's not like we were actually walking through stuff. And then I've been to this bridge a few times. And when you get to the, get to the kind of,
00:50:03
Speaker
right ah above where the entrance is of it. It's just this weird, it's it's this really dark, heavy, energy, uncomfortable, weird feeling. And you almost feel like something's watching you in the woods. and every time i'm over there i feel it and if i'm with other people they feel the exact same thing it's so strange i don't know what's there and when you stand on the bridge like this is no no lie i cannot be on that bridge for more than like five minutes at a time i literally have to get like i have to walk off
00:50:44
Speaker
and just kind of like take a few breaths and then I can walk back on because I get nauseous, i get I get dizzy, and I just get this like strange funny feeling. And it's almost like this disorienting feeling. And I'm kind of wondering, i now there's been I know people that have done research on the bridge and they've gone back through like newspaper articles and stuff and they can't find anything that happened there like it's called suicide bridge but they don't they can't find any suicide so I don't know
00:51:21
Speaker
I don't really know what's there, but it's kind of weird. I kind of get this impression that like a woman was like murdered there or something and she was hit in the head because it's just this really funny, disorienting feeling that I get in my head when I'm there. And I could totally be just making that up. I'm not trying to claim that at all, but it's just strange. And the bridge is known for having for it being like knocking noises, right? So I've i was i've been there a couple of times. And the one time when I was there with my sister and Rich, we're standing on the bridge. And this was during the bash, the Gettysburg bash, like two years ago. So people were out
00:52:07
Speaker
in droves that night and everybody was flocking to the bridges and there's a bunch of us. There was probably about 12 of us standing on the bridge and all of a sudden we're we're getting these knockings underneath the bridge and you could hear them. and there is nobody under the bridge and at one point it felt like we're standing there and it just felt like it felt like as if somebody was jumping on the bridge and you were feeling the vibration coming up through your legs because I had said I somebody either said it or I was like yeah I feel that too or whatever and then other people I heard someone else say that they were dizzy and I said yeah I'm dizzy also and
00:52:53
Speaker
another time that I had been there it was really weird because it had hit my ah my I was with two of my guy friends and it hit them first that they were starting to feel nauseous and sick and they were like I can't stand on the bridge and then eventually it hit me and it was so strange because the one guy was like I feel like I'm being drawn over to this area. And he's like, I know it there's something wrong over here, but I just keep wanting to go over here. And we're like, OK, that's not good. Get back over here. And that's the that's the bad side that I was telling you about that just feels so strange when you walk through it. It's almost like it's like this pocket of weird energy that you can just feel. And then we were standing on the bridge
00:53:45
Speaker
And he was standing there and he said that he felt like somebody was grabbing his ankles and like wanting to pull him down. It was so weird. Yeah, that is very strange. Yeah. um i'm I'm hoping that I can get there when there's really not many people around this time that I go, because, like I said, everybody flocks to it. And I'm hoping I could just like bring my recorder or my friend. I'm supposed to be my friend down there. And he said he's giving me a pair of dowsing rods that he doesn't use. So I'm hoping I'll have those by then, see if maybe, I don't know, I could do something with those. but
00:54:27
Speaker
It's just it's just a weird place. Yeah. I've never been there where I haven't felt anything. Yeah, I mean, that I mean, isn't Gettysburg known as one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that is so weird. um So the closest thing we have a I guess it's two hours away from here. We have a battlefield thing. Is it? Chickamauga battlefield. um It's in Georgia, actually, but it's it's known for um a beast of some sort. Oh, really? Dead walks and is supposed to be like, you know, looking for dead bodies or something like that. And it has like red eyes. Oh, that's creepy. Oh, my God.
00:55:18
Speaker
But also you can hear cannons and gunfire and stuff like that too. that's Yeah, that's funny you say that because the one time, well, that it was that time when we were there, all the stuff I was explaining to you happened at night, but we had gone there in the day beforehand. And I'm just standing there and we hear a gunfire and Rich is like, did you hear that? And I was just like, what? I didn't even pay attention because it's so common because where I live, people shoot guns off and stuff and you don't think twice about it. And he's like, oh, that was gunfire. So I don't know if it was actually somebody shooting it or if it was residual that we heard heard it being shot.
00:55:57
Speaker
And then um we also did a one of the walking tours, which I highly recommend. If anybody ever goes to Gettysburg, absolutely do them. They're great. um we did the black I think it's like black cat tours or something like that. The logo is a black cat. You'll know what I'm talking about if you were to search tours. and um So we did this tour and where they take you down the streets. They're not allowed to take you onto the battlefield or anything like that. They'll take you down the sidewalks and they'll stand you out in front of places and explain stories that have happened. And they were we were standing sitting in front of this one place and
00:56:47
Speaker
I just felt like I just kept looking over in this one corner, like in an alleyway. And I was like, I just felt like somebody was there like watching us. And then Rich, Rich said the same thing. He said he kept looking over there. And he's like, it just feels weird. he's He said, I feel like somebody is watching us. And I was like, yeah, that's it was crazy because we both had the same feeling at the same time. And then the other thing that happened on that tour was that we walked over into, it was a motel parking lot where they where they told the story of how guests woke up in the middle of the night and they would see soldiers in the room. That's very common.
00:57:32
Speaker
for staying in those places and we were standing where there was the cemetery was graveyard was across the street and they were telling us about it. And there's this little kid in front of us and he goes, I smell campfire. And my sister and I, right? Like we started smelling the same thing, like right as he was saying it. And we're like, holy crap, because there was no campfire, but that's a thing. They say you can smell campfire. You could smell the scent of lavender because they tried using that to cover up the smell of the dead bodies. You could smell horses and things like that. So it's just, it's really interesting. Yeah, that's, that's very interesting. Yeah.
00:58:21
Speaker
Um, ah there's a funny story I heard ah from Gettysburg. Um, I can't remember where I heard it. Excuse me. But it was, there was some kids there, something that we're doing in reenactment or, so you know, they, they were doing something like that. I can't remember exactly what it was, but, um, they dressed up in their reenactment clothes clothes at night and went walking on the battlefield and like there was a ghost tour going by and there's just in I think they were in their I think it was the red coats the british I think they were was it no they were that's not I'm thinking of something I think they were the union union yeah they were walking um
00:59:07
Speaker
through the battlefield as his tours gone by and everyone was like freaking out and pointing and like taking pictures. Yeah. So they just didn't, they just ignored them and just kept walking. So I'm sure there's somebody out there that's freaking out. We saw a ghost. Full body apparitions. Yeah. I know and you hear and you hear like you hear the stories a lot kind of the opposite where people will see people see full-body apparitions and they think it's a reenactor and it's actually not there's that really famous story I think it was Mark Nesbit that took it down he's
00:59:42
Speaker
He's another guy that lives in Pennsylvania. He does like a ghost tour thing. um He's an author. I met him the other year that same year that I was telling you about at the Bash. and um He took the story down because he was a parker ah park ranger there for years and years. and I guess there was where they they were shooting the Civil War movie or something like that. And the actors were there. And I can't remember exactly what it was, but an actual ghost handed them amun like actual ammunition. Really? Yeah. And they they had somebody look at it and said it was like authentic or something like that. That is crazy.
01:00:27
Speaker
Yeah, i'm pretty sure that's the story I could be misquoting it but i'm so that You know that ties into my theory about you know how? It's like time is not linear and sometimes, you know, it overlaps and what we're seeing is we're seeing the past and they're seeing us at the same time in the future. And they're overlapping and he just like handed an ammunition through time to the future. That's so weird. I just have chills right now because that, that I have another story that a friend told me that he, um, he was at triangle field, which is right next to devil's den.
01:01:11
Speaker
And apparently that area was also known for being very bloody. And my friend is, wait, is devil's den, is that the one in, in Massachusetts? No, that's in Gettysburg. Yeah. Yeah. It's like, um, there's something called devil's devil's den that Phil talks about also, maybe it's devil's cave or something. Maybe there's a lot of things with the devil's name in it. So it could definitely, it could definitely be. Um, but yeah, there's doubles down in Gettysburg. That's, that's known for a really bad, bloody spot. And right next to it is triangle field. And my friend, he's a ah veteran and.
01:01:51
Speaker
i I don't remember if he was with somebody or I don't remember if he was by himself or what but he all of a sudden was like in the field walking and he got shoved down by I don't remember if he said it was a a ghost or something, but he got shoved down and it scared the heck out of him.

Ghost Tours and Supernatural Legends

01:02:12
Speaker
yeah And he was talking to one of his friends that was a medium and said, yeah, he and i guess that I guess that he had gone back there. And I don't know if she went with him or she was on the phone with him at some point. And the soldier had said,
01:02:31
Speaker
i'm I'm sorry about that. I wasn't trying to scare you, but I was trying to get you out of the way of gunfire. Oh my gosh. So I shoved him down on the ground, which is just wild. It is. And that ties into your not linear and everything. Gosh, that's that's crazy. It is. So I just thought about this. We were in Charleston, South Carolina. oh yeah I guess it was two years ago we were going on a cruise, which we're about to go on a cruise again soon.
01:03:11
Speaker
which is going to be fun, but that's out of Miami. Um, anyway, so Charleston, South Carolina, um, we did ghost tour there. Um, and it was, it was crazy. I didn't know there's, there's so much history there. Um, yeah, it is. I wish I could remember all the, the stories, there's one about, um, the America's first serial killer was there. Yeah. And is this lady it's, it's crazy. god's scary Um, but anyways, we were walking around, you know, cause you go through the cemeteries and you go, excuse me. I'm so tired tonight. I don't want to do that.
01:03:55
Speaker
Uh, so we were, you know, walking, easy you know, you don't can't go to the buildings where we're doing the late, um, tours, like 10 o'clock at night. My kids were with us. My kids were like eight, I think at times. So they were, they were freaking out, you know, with the good stories, which is always awesome. Um, So, uh, you know, we were walking through doing all this stuff and we got they got to this one old church. And, um, I didn't, I didn't think about this at the time, but there was a guy like sitting in the cemetery and, um, uh, at the time I was just assuming, you know, that's just someone grieving, you know,
01:04:33
Speaker
But now thinking back on it, there was it wasn't a fresh burial or anything. And he was just he was in plain clothes. And I'm just like, what if that's like actually the spirit of someone? They're just sitting on their own grave. That's just so that's freaky. I know. But it's freaky, though, um to think about, man, if I had that picture, I would pull it up and share it, share it on the screen here. I probably do have it. Oh, wait. You took a picture of it. Oh, yeah, I did. yeah Yeah. and
01:05:04
Speaker
um and Maybe I didn't, maybe I just took a picture of the church, but I'm pretty sure I took a picture of the guy sitting there. That's something I want to get so bad because I have so many people that'll be, that'll show me pictures and there's clearly something in the picture and I know they're not, you know, they're not faking it and I'm just like, I want to capture something so badly. Yeah. Yeah. um and The only thing I've captured is I've captured a UFO. I don't know if you heard about that. Yeah. So that, that was, uh, that was crazy. Um, it was here in my house that I caught it. Um, I'm trying to pull this up. Give me one second here.
01:05:47
Speaker
I have a funny story while you're trying to. OK, yeah, go ahead. So you met Aaron the other whenever we recorded. And I remember when that was, but it was actually last Wednesday. Oh, gosh. Yeah. My dog's in the background growling. wow Oh, man. You know what that means? You're not alone. I'm just kidding. I don't want to scare you. I just said scary stuff. no um She perks at everything. It's such a pain, but um oh So Aaron okay, so so my co-host on my podcast that I put out every God knows when but um
01:06:31
Speaker
The first time I thought I was actually seeing a UFO, I was on vacation and this was like five years ago. This was the last time I was in Tennessee. I went down to Tennessee and met up with a bunch of his group of his friends and then we drove from Tennessee down to Florida. um because his dad has a ah beach house and then we rented a beach house kind of next to his dad's place and we're at the very southern tip of Florida so it's extremely dark skies down there you know and we went out and we were having a few drinks and stuff and we're all laying on the our backs on the sand stargazing looking at all the stars and I see this thing go across the sky and it's all these little lights kind of like
01:07:17
Speaker
flipping In like a line and I start freaking out. I'm like, oh my god, it's UFO. Oh my god. What is that? Yeah, it's like That's Starlink. Oh, yeah. Yeah freaking bummed out. Yeah Gosh, I don't think I have picture of the guy I have some pictures from the tour. Um, gosh, I'm looking
01:07:47
Speaker
These, all these pictures are you still there? Okay. Yeah. My dog is barking a lot. That's fine.
01:07:58
Speaker
There's a bunch of graveyards here. I took a bunch of pictures, but they're not in order. So it's hard for me to find the one I'm looking for. I did a search for South Carolina, but didn't, didn't, there's the church that church is creepy.
01:08:19
Speaker
Anyways, it's Charleston's a really cool town. Um, highly recommend going there. You, uh, never been. No, yeah, I haven't, I haven't been that there. That's supposed to be super haunted. I did go to Savannah, Georgia once, and I know that was really haunted, but that was, I was still a teenager when I went. So I wish I could go back and actually do a ghost tour, some kind of history and stuff like that. yeah Savannah I had a friend that lived there and it is definitely One of the creepiest places I've been really yeah, there's there's one because you know, it's there's these town squares who um And all of them have like the big trees with the moss or the Spanish moss that there's one that i'm picturing right now yeah There's one town square where there's no moss on any of the trees and None. That's weird. And the the story goes that, you know, most, you know, so is, is not a, it's it's a known fact that, you know, there's a lot of slave trade that happened um in Savannah. So the, the story about that square was that there was like,
01:09:34
Speaker
ah I don't know if there's a plantation over some someone who had slaves and he made them like clean the moss off because he didn't like the moss and It doesn't grow there anymore because you know, the theory is there's ghosts that still clean the moth off the trees Oh my gosh. Yeah, but it's it's so true. There is I Mean, I've seen it with my own eyes. There's one square where there's no moss on any of the trees. Yeah, you have to wonder. Really? That's so strange. Yeah, it is. So, yeah, I can't find the picture of the guy in the cemetery that found found the cemetery, though, but I you can't see him in there. It's a very creepy picture, though.
01:10:22
Speaker
I don't know why everything's like mixed up. All my photos are, there's pictures of Phil, there's pictures of the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot ah conference, which you guys, if you haven't been, Smoky Mountain Bigfoot conference is not this coming up Saturday, but the following Saturday. So check it out. Oh yeah, that's, yeah, that's when I'll be in Gettysburg, I think. I wish i were I'm not going to be in town either, but I wish, I would be because I would be there helping helping Tony out. Oh yeah, weren't you supposed to to go to help for that? um Well, I wasn't going to go to the Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference. I was going to go to Squachella.
01:11:07
Speaker
but that actually got canceled. Oh, oh wait. Was okay. Oh, okay. So that's the one I'm thinking of. Yeah. Squatula was canceled. Um, they didn't sell enough tickets. So they, I don't think the, they thought it was worth it, you know, for everyone to you know commit their time and, yeah you know, um, so I would have wanted to go to that cause the expanded perspective guys were going oh yeah and I've been a fan of their show for like a couple of years now. I really liked them. That'd be cool to meet them. It would be those. I mean, I really like that show, too. Yeah. Yeah, it was actually just perspective is awesome. Yeah. Just listening to their latest episode a couple hours ago, actually. Yeah, they they I mean, besides the confessionals, they kind of that their whole banter back and forth is kind of like what I've modeled the show. Right. OK. Yeah. So yeah. All right. Get out of here.
01:12:05
Speaker
My son just like busted in here. So I heard that. Yeah. Like, is it the ghost again? I mean, ah wish I I'm just kidding. Oh, man. I kid. um There's this weird tree, though, and you got to see this. I'm going to share the screen. So there's this strange tree in um Charleston. Look at this thing. Isn't that crazy? Can you see that? I've seen that. i think Yeah, it is insane. Yeah. That is really crazy. It does not do it justice. I mean how big it is. I mean, it is, it is huge. There's some of the, that's the ghost tour.
01:12:51
Speaker
That's all you can tell is like in the COVID eras, everyone wearing masks outside. Um, there's another picture of the tree, but it's just awesome. That's crazy. That's actually in Gatlinburg. This is, it's the oldest hotel there. And my wife took me there for my birthday a couple of years ago. oh that's cool It was very spooky. Yeah, there's a lot of, a lot of haunted stuff in Gatlinburg. Yeah. This is the church where the the cemetery was that was telling Tony, the guy was just sitting like in the cemetery. That's a really pretty church. Yeah. That's the other side. My wife and my daughters think my son's with me somewhere. As you can tell, we're not worried about the disease. We don't have a mask on. I still.
01:13:40
Speaker
There we are. Yay. Yay. But yeah. So like I said, everything's mixed up here. Random pictures. Yeah. I was going to add two cents, but I was just going to keep my mouth shut. What were you going to say? Because like, I just, I just saw someone walking down the sidewalk the other day with with a big, like, not even like a mask, but like a big facial covering on it. And I'm just like, What are you doing? And there's not even anybody around you either. But still see that to the I mean, like it's it's ridiculous. just And then you know what kills me? I haven't seen this in a while, but I'd see people driving around alone yeah in their car i know with with.
01:14:31
Speaker
What are you doing? I don't know. what Is the air toxic now? Like, I don't know. My sister's like, do they shower with it on, too? Yeah. Well, I mean, I don't know, maybe. So it's it's a big thing in. in um Like Asian countries is I know, you know, the that's just like culturally, culturally, culturally acceptable just because their cities are so huge that it's easy to, you know, catch a cold or something. So that's typical. But I've also I've also heard.
01:15:04
Speaker
more things about China lately and it's just like not even like recent things but it's just like of how their culture is and they are it's just the stuff that they they they do is disgusting so it's like yeah no wonder why they wear masks I would never want to go over there I don't know what you're talking about. What are you referring to? Maybe we shouldn't talk about it. Maybe after the show.
01:15:33
Speaker
Like using the bathroom and. Oh, yeah. Places and things like that. That's not just China. I mean, they do that in ah like Germany is really bad about that, too. They're just like, yeah, my wife used to live in Germany. Really? Yeah, her dad was in the army and they were she was stationed that were there with their

Podcast Wrap-up and New Ventures

01:15:52
Speaker
thinking. Where was she stationed? I think at Ramstein, um, air base. But, um, yeah, she said that it was not unheard of, not, you know, people just like pee on the street and yeah. And the public pools, they just like literally pretty much wear nothing, just jump in the pool. So yeah. Yeah. Europe is a different place.
01:16:18
Speaker
It sure is. Yeah. I've been, I've been there once. So it's a couple of different countries and I was very, very glad to be home when I got back home. Yeah. I was like, I've been to Italy and Italy was pretty awesome, but I went to, to Rome and I was the most so excited to go to the, room go to Rome and see the Colosseum and When we got off the bus that was driving us around, I was just like, it reminded me of New York City. It was disgusting. It was filthy. There was graffiti everywhere. It was just dirty. Yeah. It was not a fan. So I've never been to Rome, but we went to um Florence and that was awesome. Yeah, I went there too. Yeah, that was pretty cool. Yeah. who Got to see the David, like we went to the,
01:17:11
Speaker
We went to the museum where David was. And then we also went to, what's it called? Pointed Del Vecchio. It's up on top where like David was carved and they have like a statue, like a replica up there. That was really cool. Um, then, uh, what's it called? Domo the big like cathedral. It's like ridiculously huge. Um, it's like in the center of the city. Um, I think I do know what you're talking about though. Yeah. When, when I was there, it was under like renovation. h Um, I mean, you can't miss it. There's like these giant obelisks out in front, like two of them. And it's very ornate. yeah Um, and then I can't think there's a bridge there that's really famous if for like, um, gold and jewelry. That's so we went there because of, um, where I used to work.
01:18:04
Speaker
Um, we sold jewelry and gemstones. And so, um, maybe in the photographer, I got to go document like some of our vendors that we worked with in Italy. So it was, it was fun. Wow. That's really neat though. Yeah. I got to like walk through some of the plans and you got to see the whole like gold, like from processing from a gold bar all the way to, you know, a finished piece of jewelry, which is oh that's really cool though, actually. I got to hold a gold bar, which it was like, you know, a few hundred thousand dollars, which is crazy to me. Take it and run. Yeah. I mean, I mean, it had to be like five pounds of gold. It was, it was weird. That's crazy. to hold that Yeah. That is really weird. Yeah.
01:18:50
Speaker
I mean, it's true because you see it in like movies, like people are holding these girls. It's they're ridiculously heavy. It's yeah crazy. Yeah, you're not stuffing a backpack full of them and running away. Not at all. No. Yeah. um yeah I don't think I have any pictures from that trip. I wish I did because that was really fun. Yeah. There's actually over in Italy, which kind of makes me want to go back over there just for this, but it's um it's an island. I can't remember like how to say it, but Aaron and I did an episode where we talked about a bunch of haunted places throughout the world and he chose
01:19:28
Speaker
this place in Italy and there was there was this ah insane asylum on this island and it ended up being like part of the island was strictly made up of just cremated bodies or something like that just the ashes and it's supposed to be extremely haunted um and then I had seen where I exploring with Josh got on there and he went and I think there's a video that he did over there, but it's just kind of crazy looking. Everything's all grown up and it's just it's nuts. Yeah, than I can imagine. Yeah. um So um we recently went and looked at like some new construction like
01:20:14
Speaker
um houses we were you know possibly thinking about selling our house and moving somewhere else like and and still in the same area we're at but it was like a new community they were they building and um there's a cemetery there like that they they built houses around this cemetery and and they left you know left it there they didn't you know relocate anything which i think is good yeah we were touring and um the, you know, the real estate agent was talking to us about the neighborhood and, and, um, I asked something about the, the cemetery and she said, I can't remember what she said. And I was like, I just like said, well, you know, this is how horror movies start. Like, Oh my God, who is this guy?
01:21:02
Speaker
I always, it's funny you say that because I went into um my weekend job the other day and I sat down on the table and everybody's like having drinks and this one guy that's a regular and I've known him for a couple years now because he's a regular and he goes so you like paranormal stuff and I go yeah because I'm like I don't know how I should be responding to this and he goes oh I'm really into to paranormal stuff and and UFO stuff for sure and I said oh okay yeah I'm definitely definitely into it
01:21:34
Speaker
And then so he started telling me things about how um that his that there's Native American land and Indian burial grounds up to where where his parents live on a hill and stuff. And he said always when he'd go in his parents' basement, even even to this day, that it freaks him out and he's very uncomfortable in there. And then he's telling me about experiences that he's had in the in the woods when he's gone hunting. but then So then one of the other regulars is across the table and he chimes up, and like chimes in about his, you know, some paranormal experiences and he goes, yeah, he goes um across the street from where I live, there's this hill and there was all these old
01:22:19
Speaker
gravestones from the 1700s and he said this company came in, bought the land and they just completely just took all the headstones out and just demolished them. And then I guess people found out and they were really angry and I was angry hearing about that because how can you just And I guess the the land is just still sitting there for sale. and And this guy that was telling me about it, he's like, when someone moves on that property, it's not going to be good. No, not at all. I don't know how you could just for money, how you could just this gross. Yeah. Just do that. It reminds me of the. um
01:23:00
Speaker
The Poltergeist movies, do you remember? I haven't seen those. Okay. Well, they're like, their house is built on thinking on of Indian burial ground or something like that. And, um, like there's one scene in the movie there in the swimming pool and there's like a storm. I can't remember exactly what happens. There's like all these skeletons in the pool. And come to find out when they filmed the movie, they use real human skeletons. Yeah. and I can't make this up. And apparently there's like a curse with the, like a lot of people who were in that film have died mysterious ways. And and yeah. So you hear that about a few movies. I've, I don't know. That's oof. Yeah. That's not, not good. Yeah. It's not good at all.
01:23:49
Speaker
Well, I think I'm going to have to wrap up because it's getting kind of late. And um gosh, I want to thank you so much for coming on such last minute. um i I don't know what I would have done without you because I ah probably I was close to ending the show whenever you came on because I was like, I just can't talk anymore. I can't think of what to say without being sounding stupid. Yeah. But yeah, I mean, I really appreciate it, though. Oh yeah, you're welcome. that's That's fun anytime for sure. so Yeah. um But yeah, so if you want, just tell everybody where they can find you. Oh gosh. So mainly right now I'm just mostly active on Instagram at midnight underscore in the mountains. um I have not put a podcast out in like a couple of months, but I'm- But you're about to.
01:24:37
Speaker
Yeah, but actually I have something with Aaron that needs to drop before the one that we did with you. I know, but hopefully I don't have to do too much editing for that. Well, I don't know. We we did. We got a lot like very sidetracked. Yeah. The three of us. Yeah. So I feel like there's going to be more editing in that than than I'm thinking. But I just need to sit down and do it. But I'm just so busy. I don't have time. And it may seem easy to just to just edit a podcast, but it really does take hours and hours depending on how much how I'm very picky. Yeah. So it's like it's just hard. But yeah, so hopefully just follow on Instagram for now. I've been going some cool places and posting some cool things and looking at old really cool tombstones and stuff like that from the 1700s, 1800s. So, yeah, that's awesome. Yeah.
01:25:37
Speaker
Cool. Hey guys, I want to tell you another thing that I haven't shared yet. I should have shared this at the beginning of the episode, but didn't. So guys, you're looking at one of the new editors for Hammerling Legends on Merkle Media. So if you guys want to go check out Hammerling Legends and listen, give it a listen, that would be awesome because I have been editing a show and it would be awesome for Tony to be like, why is everyone listening to Hammerling Legends now? I was like, well, I don't know. Guys, if you go, it and it would be awesome because, you know, they would be like, Jason's doing an awesome job. Leave some comments. You know, this guy, Jason, man, he's a good editor. but Yeah, I'll go over and do that for sure. but That is a good podcast, too. So if you guys aren listening to that, you should be because it's it's definitely funny. Yeah, it's funny. And yeah, so informative. I mean, you know, you listen to it and you wouldn't think, oh, it's just about truck driving. But there's there's so much wild stuff that happens on the road.
01:26:35
Speaker
It's crazy. There is. I think my favorite episode was this one. Where was this lady who has a very, very heavy smoker's voice and she was a bus driver or something? Or was she a to tow truck driver? I don't know. Do you know, but she's been on the show like once or twice, but she was very entertaining. I can't think of it. So I am editing an episode right now that's going to come out next week. Um, so not this Wednesday, but the following Wednesday and it is a, she's a bus driver. I don't know if it's the same lady or not, but maybe. Yeah, I don't know. I don't remember the smoker's voice, but yeah. Yeah, you would. Cause she, she, yeah, she's definitely a character. It sounds like, uh, gosh, what's it? Ross from monster eat monsters. He can't be seen that. No. Yeah. Okay. Well, oh, I know who you're talking about though. Yeah. Mike Wazowski. It does.
01:27:34
Speaker
Sound like that. But anyways, so yeah guys, ah check out Hammerling Legends and also follow AFK discussions wherever you listen to podcasts. If you're listening on YouTube, give us a follow. Just whatever you do, just follow us and also check us out on all the social media platforms. But yeah, that's the show for tonight. Thank you guys for listening. Sorry if I rambled a lot at the beginning. Hopefully if you stuck around, it was worth it. Yeah, I mean, yeah, I may edit it out like so halfway half of the stuff at the beginning. I don't know. But we'll see. All right. I could pre listen for you and yeah give you my opinion. I think it's OK. I usually don't cut anything out. I usually just let it let it go. But yeah. Yeah. Well, thanks for having me on. Anyways, it was a lot of fun. Yeah, it was great. It's always fun talking to you. And, you know, I guess I'll see you next time.
01:28:32
Speaker
Yeah. All right. Bye guys. Peace.
01:28:39
Speaker
Trying to stop it. There we go.
