Q1 Space Developments: AI and Customization

So in terms of what i'm going to discuss with you today, these are the some of the key developments that I've seen happening in Q1 and a lot of it is about space. There is personal AI and then there is the customization of telco offense.
Space as the next frontier

So let's start discussing a little bit about what SpaceX has been doing. There's been a big announcement, so Mark announced the merging of XAI and SpaceX, and the effect of this is to helping XAI to scale and compute with the other big AI providers, but it's also the idea of bringing those with central space.

That doesn't mean it's going to happen tomorrow or in the next few years, but that's sort of the trajectory that the company is going Now, what is interesting is that, reportedly, SpaceX is making out a good chunk of money by sending satellites in space.

And you know with this idea of data center, likely they're going to have to send more and more satellites. So it's kind of providing the money to its own company by certainly set up for a long term growth in another area of the tech space.

And we know that SpaceX recently applied with Yes Regulator to launch something like 1 million satellites to orbit for that idea of orbit in data center space. Of course, you know, there are a lot of challenges challenges in this project, but think it's pretty interesting to keep an eye on it.

It doesn't have to replace what have on Earth, but has to complement it.
AI Factory Launch and Collaborations

Now a separate news that I thought was quite interesting was Deutsche Telecom AI Factory and from the get-go, from the PR, it's all about sovereignty. You know, the company highlighted a German stock to serve sovereign AI applications and business science and administration.

A few other companies are involved are Deutsche Telecom, Siemens and SAP. So the industrial cloud is built with Nvidia and Polarise or Polarise I don't know how the company is pronounced. But effectively, you see how Deutsche Telecom is trying again to enter into the cloud space, now leveraging the sovereign trends that we see developing across a lot of different countries.

So, obviously, we can expect similar moves coming from other European telco of players.
Amazon's Satellite Expansion Plans

Now we go back to satellites. So Amazon Leo asked for extension on the deadline for the first part of the satellite constellation, but also obtained approval for a new constellation.

That will include 4500 Leo satellites bringing it to 7000. and as part the new authorization, Amazon LEO can communicate additional V Ku Ka band frequencies. So we see Amazon setting up its game.

Interestingly, in a lot of news AWS partnered with AT&T and a bunch of cloud staff and sort of a side addendum to that was Amazon LEO a camel in this partnership towards supporting the satellite phase.

Something really, really interesting is that a Bezos Blue Origin so you know again quite connected with that AWS Amazon ecosystem uh announced that they're in intent to destroy new satellite constellation called Terawave there's going to be 5 400 satellites so imagine that will keep the development to the origins The new constellation scheduled to start being deployed in late 2027 and will target data center, government end customers, bringing data speed of up to 6 terabytes the world on Earth.

So um this is highlighted to create a network for data processing and large scale government programs. And interestingly, we said that it's going to serve a maximum of 100,000 customers.

so I don't understand why they're going be two different constellations from sort of the same company if you want but probably you want to target get different market uh is probably the key element here and one won't have two separate constellations targeting potentially two different trajectories in the market one on the pure broadband consumer enterprise in one of that sort of critical enterprise side Very interesting to see how this is going to
Telecom Innovations: T-Mobile and AT&T

Now, if you move more on the telco side, and I'm rushing through a little bit because I'm pretty sure that the quality sound is crap. So maybe I'm just going to take couple of short videos after this if I can get any good segment.

So the T-Mobile results went out. and they're like really good results. So the company's guidance for its future in customer revenues. And what I what i thought was interesting of the event is that they mentioned that producing a new me too product in telco industry is not good enough.

And I think this is critical, it's really exemplified what T-Mobile wants to do because a lot what we see in the telco world is just me too products. So, lunches, similar products are in the market to kind of even the playing field of T-Mobile.

So, we definitely need to keep an eye on T-Mobile because they are setting the pace in the telco industry. Now if we look now at one of its competitors, we see AT&T launching Turbo Live premium event connectivity, so effectively it's the ability to boost for any user to get a data connection on live events.

What I found really interesting about this, that is not only attracting AT&T customers but also T-Mobile and Verizon customers. Now to do that of course you need to have a certain smartphone and you need to have the eSIM

Why I think this is really, really true development is because it's not the first time that I've seen telcos targeting that eSIM opportunity within company subscribers and I'm expecting that to become a key trend for this year and the next year in terms of trying to drive the churn by leveraging the eSIM capabilities.
