HIIIII HAPPY FRIDAY!!! We're back with our LAST episode of the season with an EDITS AWARD PARTY!! It's less of an awards show and more of a watch party with some of our favorite edits we've stumbled upon, with help from edit aficionado Aeryn, and it's a boatload of fun. We seriously can't wait to see how the edits game steps up with season two content (filming soon!!!!!). Also thank you for bearing with us as the editing in this is not perfect--Amanda is very stressed and doing their best with a new software.

We'll return with regular episodes in a few months and we'll miss you quite dearly in the meantime! Thank you to all our listeners, those who sent voice memos, guests, supporters, and community members for this wonderful first season of Since Rookie Season pod. Our show notes in previous episodes are FULL of further readings so you have plenty to do while we're gone :)) Or, y'know, fanfic, which is what we're probably reading. Keep up with us on socials to see what we get up to during the break!!!! HAGS y'all! (if you're in the northern hemisphere lol)

See this doc for the links to all edits so you can watch for yourself! Please give lots of love to these hard working editors!!!!!

00:00:17

00:00:28
Speaker
And welcome to our first edit awards ceremony. Stay tuned to know our nominees.
00:00:48
Speaker
Okay. Hi. Welcome

Summer Breaks and Personal Updates

00:00:50
Speaker
back. um As Lau said in our little intro, this is our last episode of the season because Lau and i well, Lau doesn't have summer break, but I have summer break. We hate that. We hate that for Lau. I'm about to go on summer break. Amanda might be changing jobs.

Erin's Journey into Fandoms

00:01:08
Speaker
and moving again so we're gonna be taking a little bit of a break also there's like not really anything going on right now in the heated rivalry universe they said they're starting filming in august so fee we'll hopefully have season two stuff for when we start back in the fall but we are gonna go through fan edits today which i'm so excited for and we have a fan edit like aficionado as I might say um joining us today um please welcome Erin friend of the pod um take it away introduce yourself hi I'm Erin she her hers zelonial who spends way too much time on the internet stays up way too late um been active in fandom spaces for for about 14 years now
00:01:54
Speaker
so busy busy busy person i'm a teacher during day and then i stay up way too late watching tiktoks so heck yeah i love that i love that um how did you get into heated rivalry is the real question So i want to say it was like the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, you know, the internet is starting to like really hear about this. And I'm one of my friends in another discord was like, Hey, here's the show.
00:02:23
Speaker
And I was like, Hmm, this sounds interesting. And so they're like, how about you read the book? And I go, okay, sure. I'll read the book. I was like, but I don't want to get another streaming service. I've paid for way too many right now. I'm going to do another one.
00:02:36
Speaker
And then here comes Black Friday. I've read the book and HBO has a really, really, really good deal. And so I go,

Fan Edits and Culture Discussion

00:02:47
Speaker
fine I will pay for HBO.
00:02:51
Speaker
And that just turns into this thing where I read the first two books literally. And then by Saturday, Saturday, I'm watching the first two episodes. I'm live updating one of my friends on discord as we're watching. And then it just turns to this thing like every week where it's like, all right, you know, it comes on.
00:03:09
Speaker
we're I'm watching it. We're watching it together. We're literally messaging each other as we're doing this. And then just, you know, snowballed into spending way too much time on the internet talking about heated rivalry no exactly welcome this is the space for you for where you should be retweet so something we've been trying to figure out kind of all court all quarter oh my gosh can you tell that my brain
00:03:40
Speaker
is so close so tri two weeks away okay so what we've been trying to figure out all season is what makes heated rivalry addictive we've asked all of our guests people have had so many different answers what's what's your answer You know I was trying to think about this the other day and I like, i loved heated rivalry, like right away.
00:03:59
Speaker
Like it was just one of those things where like literally from Thanksgiving to new years outside of Percy Jackson, like my brain was just like obsessed with heated rivalry. Like I would be at work, my kids would be in music class and I would be like trying to decompress because you know, that's what you do when you have a break in the middle of your day as a teacher. And I'm literally like,
00:04:21
Speaker
I want to go on my phone. I want to scroll on Twitter. I want to go on TikTok. And it's like, but I should be grading these papers. And it's just like, that's all I could think about. And I was like, I even like

Fan Edit Awards: Categories and Highlights

00:04:32
Speaker
through the hoop through that time read all of the books, but there's just something about the TV show that just like draws you in even more than the books.
00:04:42
Speaker
Like normally I'm like, I'm such a book person. I love books. Like, I've been devouring books from as from from a small child. Right. But there's just something about Hudson and Connor and all the other actors in that show.
00:04:54
Speaker
They're just so good. And just what Jacob Tierney has done with it. Like, I just sit there and I was like, that's what I'm thinking about. I'm like, I would watch the show again. and Like, I want to go back.
00:05:06
Speaker
and figure out like how to erase heated rivalry from my brain, so i can watch the show all over again. That's so true. I love it. like To be people who have never seen the show and watch it for the first time.
00:05:18
Speaker
like Imagine. I got to do that. i got to do that, and it was I was looking at them the whole time, like especially at the end of episode five, where I'll believe in anything part, I was like watching them and was like, guys, guys, guys. No, no, I, I would give anything to be able to watch this show for the first time again. Like, yeah, literally anything. No, okay. And perfect. And we love that. um Do you have anything else that you'd like to add about yourself before we dive into our convo?
00:05:48
Speaker
Nah, think I'm good. Okay, period. Well, we are obviously going to explore today about the TV show a lot because most of these vids, or vids, I'm i'm such a fandom old when I call them vids. You're aging yourself. I know I'm aging myself really bad. um So vidding or edits um are a very long story part of fandom history. um This starts all the way back in like the nineteen seventy s where... um fans of Star Trek would literally like cut the VHS tape together from the episodes to do certain things and then would show them at fan conventions. And it's always been like a huge part of fandom. It's a huge part of remix culture. It is like inherently feminist because it's also often like putting women in positions of power to like narrate stories and If we think about like early fandom, um I've linked a lot of great vidding resources, one by our former podcast guest, Katie Morrissey, in our show notes for y'all to read over it. But yeah, it's got a really long story tradition. i would say like edits really, I think the name edits is newer. And I would say that came out of like the K-pop fandoms. okay Yeah, I'd agree.
00:07:09
Speaker
Yeah, and I mean like now there's, I mean, so many awesome things that you can do with the edits and with vids. um And like even still at fan conventions or like Fan Scholar things that I go to, we have like a vidding like panel and like they'll show vids and we'll like rate them and it'll be like Fan Scholars creating the vids themselves. So it's like always a little fun time at Fans Color Conferences. Yes, it's very cutie. i I really enjoy that part of it. So, but yeah, we're going talking about heated rivalry edits. um We have put together a little tiny, i have put together a little tiny PowerPoint presentation. It's very cute. I love it. For everyone to kind of kick us off.
00:07:56
Speaker
It's funny because as Heated Rivalry took off and I became known, or like in my some of my friend groups as like the person like really obsessed with Heated Rivalry, um they started sending me different Heated Rivalry reels. So my friends, before they've even seen the show, know like the important parts, especially the like, will you come to my cottage? They were sending me stuff.
00:08:16
Speaker
different especially like where it was like little critters or different objects like that whole trend um and that i'm sure we'll talk about it again when we get to that section but my friends i don't know if anyone else has experienced this but it's like anytime they see prissy jackson or heated rivalry they just immediately send it to me and i'm like wow i'm so loved and known yes no exactly um all right so here are our awards um To kick us off, I wanted to talk about, i think, the edit that everybody has seen, because it is the edit that literally got someone at an HBO job, which I think is incredible. um So we're going to kick ourselves off with the, uh, it's Bucky, uh, Bucky, previously Heated Rivalry.
00:08:57
Speaker
I just want to Mellie is one of my favorite editors ever. she does 9-1-1, which is one of my other fandoms. She does Percy Jackson, Heated Rivalry. She's so good. I'm so excited for Yes! No, I'm also very excited. There we go.
00:09:22
Speaker
we This is such a bad idea.
00:09:38
Speaker
everywhere Will disappoint them? No? Can we call it a dynasty? Have a good night. I love you. Holy shit.
00:10:14
Speaker
Oh, cinema. Cinema. One of the most edits of all time. Oh my God. One of the edits of all time. Like, can you imagine how long it took Melly to sit there and like edit all the set? Yes. I was going to ask how many times you think they've watched it Yes.
00:10:34
Speaker
Yeah.
00:10:39
Speaker
It's so satisfying. I love it. Yeah. Yeah. It makes me feel like... yeah Yeah, to get the sound to line up just right with the video and the beats, it's like... It scratches my ring so It scratches your ring so good. It scratches your ring so good. Exactly. No, literally... Like with the sticks and the beats and the... Oh, yeah.
00:10:59
Speaker
And I love the pauses with those lines, those special lines like Shane Hollander, will you disappoint? them and then i love you holy shit the ending where he's like it's like Shada's going down and then coming up yes oh Goosebumps. I have goosebumps. Literally, it's perfect. Like, no notes.
00:11:23
Speaker
Best, one of the best edits out there. love it. I have nothing else to say. Start off strong. Start off strong. We're starting off strong. Yeah, yeah. But this is like, and it encompasses everything in the series. Yes. We have everything. We even have the banana socks, you know?
00:11:40
Speaker
Everything is there. So, well, did I see Svetlana, though? that i think That edit makes me think that the show is actually about hockey.
00:11:51
Speaker
and that's what I was literally thinking that. I was like, if this was a trailer and I was trying to guess what the show is about, I would think it's about hockey, but then it does like kind of well you know spoil it by the end of like whatever. But then I'm like, oh, because it's an edit. It's not a trailer, but it feels like a trailer. Oh, my God. It feels like a trailer because it has like that epic feel to it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:12:11
Speaker
Yeah, that vibe, totally. It's like the music, the and i'm starting and stopping. And I'm sucker for strings and rhythm. like I remember when that edit first came out and it started to really gain traction and everybody was sharing it all over every social media thing. Everybody in comments was like, oh my god, they should pay you to do the trailers. like This is so good.
00:12:31
Speaker
And then what happens? And now. And now. And now. And now. And now. And has to like say, this is like this is done in my own time. this is nothing do with hbo disclaimers Yeah, I stumbled upon some of her other edits and stuff, and it's so good. It's so so good. her Like her Twitter, oh my god. Uh-huh.
00:12:51
Speaker
Yes. i like she's got like I think we've recommended like three or four of her edits, so we'll be seeing it throughout. like As somebody who's been following Melly for...
00:13:02
Speaker
probably three years now because when the refer of the first season of Percy Jackson came out she was doing some Percy Jackson stuff she was doing some 911 stuff so just to follow her and see like now how like where she is and having like been able to see like her posts about getting hired by HBO i think that's like the every editor's absolute dream yeah and i think she gets to do that is just phenomenal Right, exactly. oh All right.
00:13:34
Speaker
We're going to now get into our first category, the gayest edit. I don't know what you want me just what else you want me to say. Like, it's a gay TV show. and Here we are. ah um So we've got five edits.
00:13:49
Speaker
There are five in each category. And basically how we came up with these was... we like were in a group chat and we were kind of just all submitting them. And then I was like, we probably should make categories. And so I just made the most unhinged categories I could physically think of at the moment. And so this is our first with a gayest edit. And we are going to go into these

NSFW Edits and Challenges

00:14:11
Speaker
edits, hopefully in order. and We've got Joyride and then Sonido.
00:14:16
Speaker
ah huh And then Crush, Chasing Cars and Bad Guy. All right, so those are those are our nominees.
00:15:06
Speaker
So good! So that's actually made by a friend of the pod. yeah Hi Camille! Hi Camille! um um Camille also is a host on... what is the podcast called? So it's the pit crew that focuses on the show The Pit and they have like side version of it called the Puck Crew that focuses on hidden rivalry.
00:15:33
Speaker
Yes. Yeah. they The episodes are just like interspersed in between their pit episodes. Okay. Very cool. Yeah. Yeah. So um I remember when that edit came out, I remember Camille being in our discord being like, this was like the hardest thing i've ever had to Like, and I like how the like text is like behind them and i front of them. yeah And I remember her being like, this was the hardest thing I've ever tried to figure out. um But it's perfect. It's absolutely perfect.
00:15:59
Speaker
It's so good. The hard work pays off. Yeah, no, for real. And I also love that song, clearly, as I was singing it the whole time. and I had never heard that song before Camille had. posted the edit and shared it. So I was like, see this is new to me.
00:16:14
Speaker
i was like, have y'all never been to a gay club? I've been listening to Joyride by Kesha once a day, at least. As I said in our last episode. No, I haven't.
00:16:25
Speaker
No. Wow. Do you want to come to America? Not again.
00:16:33
Speaker
Okay, fair. That's so real, honestly. That's so real. i may be leaving, so... yeah but And you don't know what? That's also very real. Okay. Perfect. Love it. I suggested that one. I think it is a very gay edit.
00:16:49
Speaker
It is a very gay edit. it It has everything. It has the yearning, it has the sex, it has the music, and the perfect edit, like, visually.
00:17:01
Speaker
What you were saying about the text. Like, it makes it sexy, and it makes it engaging, and it continues the tone of the show that has made it so addictive. so For sure.
00:17:12
Speaker
For sure. All right. Our next gayest edit. Are we ready? Yes. right.
00:17:48
Speaker
All right. So I need to give context for this one. Yes, please. This was thanks to our friend Anna. Because Anna is my friend from college.
00:18:00
Speaker
And this is actually from my friend's band that I have mentioned before. This is from Morat. This is from Morat. And Morat is a boy band.
00:18:12
Speaker
Four very straight men. um Maybe the one that plays more with like gender expression is my friend, ah the bassist. ah But they're like traditionally very like a so very straight boy band.
00:18:28
Speaker
And the fandom is like straight girls, teenage girls. Like you, of course, have a lot of queer people following them. But um that's like the visual that you have when you imagine them. ah And our queer friend group has always said this is the gay song of Morad because it talks about a forbidden love and and ah like a secret love. So the the song is called Cuando Nadie Veo, when nobody's watching. So it's it's basically about that. And it's it it really sounds like a relationship on the down low or in the closet. And we sing it every single time we meet up for queer gatherings with my friends. So when we saw this in the wild, anna and I were freaking out.
00:19:17
Speaker
And when I started collecting our edits for this episode, I was like, I need the Morat one. i need the Cuando Nadie because we need to bring this knowledge to everyone else that doesn't speak Spanish. So ah actually in the doc, I put it as...
00:19:35
Speaker
The gayest edit to the straightest band. So true. Yeah, in the Hispanic world. so No, I'm perfect, actually. We love when that happens. Yeah, no, it was so good. I really loved it. I liked the, again, the text. I love, like, the little extra elements of the edit.
00:19:54
Speaker
Very cool. I know you don't understand Spanish. Sorry. So the the lyrics really match with what you're seeing. Okay, so...
00:20:05
Speaker
it makes sense for everyone who knows Spanish that is watching us. It will make more sense than the Anglophones, which I love to do. I love to alienate people that don't speak Spanish.
00:20:16
Speaker
You know? No, it's the best. It's do the greatest job. I love it. I'm here for it. All right. Our next up is going to be Crush by David Archuleta.
00:20:28
Speaker
Very importantly enough.
00:20:35
Speaker
The same way about me just too much, just too much Why do I keep running from the truth All I ever think about is you You got me hypnotized, so mesmerized And I just got to know Do you ever think when you're all alone All we could be when this thing could go Am I crazy?
00:21:06
Speaker
Do you catch your breath when I look at you? Are you holding back like the way you do?
00:21:22
Speaker
that is so cute oh i love david archuleta knowing knowing like the behind the scenes yes like yes so much more yes it is so gay actually i was like because at the time the closet gay man He- really? I didn't know that. Yeah! You didn't know that David Archuleta was like closeted gay when he was first on American Idol?
00:21:50
Speaker
Yeah. I don't know who he is. ah Sorry. The caption in that TikTok said that that song came out the year they met, which is 2008. Do you remember how old I am? I was seven that year. Three. Yeah, you're a baby.
00:22:05
Speaker
I mean, okay. I was nine. i Yeah, see, not even that bad, but i apparently I just- 2008, I was 13, yeah. Like, I had the biggest crush as a nine-year-old on David Archuleta. David Archuleta! Like- That boy. Like, okay, also also, we do. We do. It wasn't like, the closet was glass.

Nostalgia-Themed Edits

00:22:27
Speaker
Would they call him a metrosexual? Yes. Yeah. Okay. that's Yes. yeah Like, ah ah can't believe you've never seen a picture of David Archuleta. Hold on. i was like, you have have you seen the music video for Crush?
00:22:40
Speaker
No. Oh. Oh. not know this song before this edit. Oh my gosh. Okay, here's a picture of David Archuleta, just for everybody know.
00:22:52
Speaker
that's like a new picture of him but that's him now yeah like this is David Archuleta when he was on when he was on American yeah yeah um he was baby he was a baby like that him ah he he was all so tiny yeah yes he's all he also is famously like four feet tall yeah oh really ah he's he's not that but he's uh let me see i could probably look it up on his wikipedia i just meant that he looks like a baby mean he was you know he was he was like 16 or something on oh he's five four yeah that's my height
00:23:36
Speaker
Yeah. And you are Bebe. Are you not? Fire. We're the same height, Amanda? Again? Yeah. don't remember. Ish. Yeah. Okay. I don't understand feet. so just Oh, I don't know meters, Sorry.
00:23:52
Speaker
Sorry. i could i could do them I could do the math if you want me to work out, but I really don't want to. I know both. It's fine. There's about 10 centimeters and 4 inches, i think. 10 centimeters? That's so short. 10 centimeters and inches. I am confused. I am very confused. Alright, let's just allow can't do numbers anyways, so we're just gonna do it fast. Yeah, it's fine. We're just gonna move past this. um Okay, next up we have our, oh, this one destroys me. I hope you're ready.
00:24:29
Speaker
This is not like on the level of our last category tonight, but it's up there. i fucking lied to them for so many years. I fucking lied to them and now my dad just walks in on me. this This is my fucking nightmare.
00:24:43
Speaker
This is my actual fucking nightmare, Ilya. Okay. Then maybe it's time to wake up, yes? You've got Ottawa's own Hollander. He may not be the most sociable. Shane Hollander, wanted to introduce myself.
00:24:56
Speaker
And you've got Russia's Ilya Rosanoff. Good in his own room, not exactly like his opponent's
00:25:05
Speaker
room. I don't think can keep pretending i don't like you anymore. You're a white man.
00:25:17
Speaker
Yeah, I do.
00:25:28
Speaker
Was it different with the guy? What?
00:25:45
Speaker
Say it again in Russian, please.
00:25:52
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. knew you.
00:25:59
Speaker
I feel so internal whenever I watch that one. Like, I'm like, these are my babies. Oh, let me just, yeah. Put me the sun. The part where it says, like, the loved in his own room, not not very like in his opponent's room. And it's, yeah, that was perfect.
00:26:23
Speaker
Yeah, that was perfect. Pull a fix. Run me over. So good. Wow. already dead. How are we gonna continue? Who recommended that one? amanda like Amanda? I it was Amanda. No, that was, I was like screaming because I was so gay. Yeah.
00:26:43
Speaker
That was arguably to chasing cars? Oh. yeah that's so that's That's why I literally in the dark I was like, fucking chasing cars. Yeah. Yeah!
00:26:57
Speaker
Yeah! bookmarked that one and I went, that one's for later. I almost shared another edit to Chasing Cars, but I wasn't going to do it till they do that do that to us twice. Yeah, no, thank you. Thank you. I really would have walked into woman. You know, Erin, I am an old, old person. i cannot survive.
00:27:14
Speaker
This is not what I found out. ah How to save a life. Oh, yeah. call it off and i was like, I can't even like, I can't even pretend to react, like react to that on our podcast watching that because I will just cry. i will just cry. I'll just break down.
00:27:32
Speaker
I'll just have a breakdown. And I i don't I don't need that the internet to see that. And we have to get through the brain rot ones. And I'm like, i can't. I can't. It's like, i was like, we're not even at Lauren walks into the lake yet. Exactly. No, no, that's the last category. ah Cause that's what I will be doing after we get off this call.
00:27:54
Speaker
And I'll walk into the ocean. It's fine. It's fine. It's fine. The lake was really cold. I was in it today. So, um, The ocean was 80 degrees to get today. Whatever.
00:28:06
Speaker
As someone who lives on the west coast, in the upper west coast, what do you mean your ocean is warm? yeah Come to the Caribbean. Erin, what do you mean the ocean is not warm?
00:28:19
Speaker
like it's It's not. but It's cold. Yeah, I don't get it. It's cold in the middle of the summer. It's superior to all other oceans because of that. Thank you. And our beaches are rocky.
00:28:31
Speaker
Yeah. Not Sandy. I know. I lived in Boston and I know. Well, before before we get started talking about where we live in more depth, I'm going to share our final edit of this category, gayest.
00:28:49
Speaker
um I did recommend this one, I will say. You're welcome I love this one. Oh my god. Sorry, hold on. sorry hold on Yeah, you in the beginning.
00:29:06
Speaker
um not bad
00:29:19
Speaker
oh The dad part makes me laugh every time. a dad part, yeah, kills me. Yes, i'm that's why I put it as dad. Poor Juan poor hu had to survive a whole weekend of me singing this song. Because of this edit. And I was like, can you shut up?
00:29:38
Speaker
Could you play literally anything else, please? Anything else. like I'll give you No, and the only reason I put it in the category of gayest is because of the David Hollander line.
00:29:50
Speaker
Yeah. Oh, yeah. isn' it I was like, that is, like, so bisexual menace of Ilya Rozenov being like, I didn't just fuck your mom, I fucked your dad too. And your ex-girlfriend.

Creative Crossovers and Pop Culture

00:30:01
Speaker
i I saw a tweet that was like, what do you think Ilya and David talked about when Yuna and Shane were having their moment outside in episode 6? And you think David just went like, so you cook any Russian food? Yeah.
00:30:19
Speaker
Do you like puzzles? Do you read the New Yorker? email so so what kind of stocks are you investing in
00:30:31
Speaker
How is your financial situation looking, actually? So you have a lot of cars, huh? Or, or, or David went on a very stress-induced monologue about chargers.
00:30:48
Speaker
yeah That one seems like the most likely, honestly. ah We love David. Orlight starts talking about where all of the liquor and wine are from in their liquor cabinet.
00:31:02
Speaker
Because here you talked about how the vodka was Russian. Oh, yeah. No. I like that. Alright. Those were all so great to get us kicked off. Our gayest edits. um We are now moving into...
00:31:19
Speaker
the best NSFW edits. You know them. Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, they all keep manning them. There may or may not be an entire Google Drive folder dedicated to them. You definitely are charging certain things up before you open said folders. um And I would just like to point out that Shane Hollander is Megan Thee Stallion's other muse other than herself.
00:31:42
Speaker
Exactly. So our our five our five recommendations in this are Big Ol' Freak by Margz Edits. Edits? Margz Edits.
00:31:54
Speaker
Bad Idea by Rashida Media. Massive Attack by Margz Edits. Red Desert by... Moipomodor.
00:32:05
Speaker
Sorry, Russians, if you're listening. And ah Sweet Dreams by Bucky. So we will go ahead and get into those. I would just like to say YouTube gods, please do not come for us for this next one. I'm sure it's fine. please I'm sure it's fine.
00:32:30
Speaker
the head, suck it then look in his eyes, then the next day I might leave him on red, ayy, pop it
00:33:01
Speaker
Ain't nobody creep like me, huh? Yeah, what you need like me, huh? Ain't nobody got on they tip tip toes and roll to the tip like me, huh? I got him a dick and he fiending, my body a drug and he need it.
00:33:11
Speaker
He begging me for the treatment, he throw fit when I leave him.
00:33:29
Speaker
I'm big old freak, look like a baby
00:34:13
Speaker
Yes, yes Lauren you're muted
00:34:23
Speaker
Yeah, the spit on it and the shut up and the no no no the amount of cowboy Shane
00:34:32
Speaker
it's just Like there was so much cowboy shade in that minute and a half. Like there's not even that much cowboy shade in the show. It's awesome. Listen, we saw this editor knew what the public wanted.
00:34:45
Speaker
Save a horse. And delivered. Ride an Ilya Rosanoff. Erin, I think you're muted. Nope, that was me but that was me mouthing the words to save a horse, ride a cowboy. and You know what? Exactly. And listen, as a vegan, I approve.
00:35:01
Speaker
I don't think anyone's reading horses, but yeah. Yeah. um I was, like, the only screen I could see while I was watching that was Lao's face, and I just saw Lao being, like, in the video. What's crazy is that I was focusing on your little square. was just watching each other.
00:35:23
Speaker
I was, like, jamming out to Megan Thee Stallion. like Yeah. No, i I'm sorry. I love Megan Thee Stallion. She could literally do no wrong.
00:35:35
Speaker
Yes. i ah How are we going to follow that one up? I don't know. But we're about to. We're going to try. i was like, the rest are from TikTok, so they're going to be. They're going to a little more. yeah, yeah. Less cowboy Shane. chain yeah Less cowboy Shane, unfortunately. sad Sad. All right. Here's our next one.
00:35:59
Speaker
It's okay to sex me before the game. So, Lily's just a buddy? So, what the fuck do you actually want from me?
00:36:30
Speaker
It's bad idea, right? That's a good one. I love that one. So good. good. love that The only thing I would change, would change one thing, is that by the end, I was expecting to have the line from Ilya. Like, Shayna's like, what the fuck do you want, Rosanoff? It would be perfect to end on Suck My Dick.
00:36:53
Speaker
That would just be like, you know, Small, small feedback. I was also thinking that now that HBO has gone and changed the lighting in the show over, i was wondering how that's going to affect edits. Like, are people going to go back and, like, change the edits or, like, recreate the edits with better lighting?
00:37:13
Speaker
Probably. Maybe. I haven't noticed it. It went my perusal of the like 500 heated rivalry edits that I have bookmarked, um which is why I'm on this episode.
00:37:26
Speaker
ah Clearly. ah Yeah. Most of them just because the show, the show is just coming out. And so they just were getting more and more ideas. So not a lot changes.
00:37:39
Speaker
So they they just kept going. I can't wait to see like the season two mix in, like what they're going to do with season two. And season one, like, how are we going to recreate all of that?
00:37:52
Speaker
I'm going to have a lot more. I'm going to walk off a short Trophy scene. Trophy scene. The trophy scene! No, actually, just actually kill me right now. i I'm not prepared for it. My body?
00:38:03
Speaker
Not prepared. The angst. The angst? I'm literally going to take a long walk off a short pier. Yeah. Through all all of season two. So i'm I'm just preparing myself now for it. So.
00:38:16
Speaker
Great. Amazing. Moving on to the next one. Okay. All right. We're back with more Marks. More Marks. More Marks.
00:39:10
Speaker
Beautiful. Wow. So good. The every single. But getting the breath in there is so important. I mean, we've talked on the show about like the moments where there's no music and there's just breaths and how important and like makes that feel more intimate. And then to put those in the edits.
00:39:33
Speaker
No, I'm done actually. Everyone thinks that like a sexy edit needs to be like quick or like have a lot of beat. And this is a very minimalistic in in what like relates to sound because that song, that song is very calm. It's very relaxing and still, you know like, yeah, just perfect.
00:39:58
Speaker
So good. So good. Every time I hear the beginning part, my brain just goes to me teaching when it goes, love is a verb, love is a doing word. And I'm like, damn it.
00:40:12
Speaker
I need to not be teaching about work, thinking about work when I'm, yeah. Yeah. I would not recommend. Yeah, no. No. Not with those kids. No.
00:40:24
Speaker
Not with those kids. No. I do have to take, like, a minute sometimes in my office when I'm reading a fanfiction and be like, okay, Lauren, you're at work. but ah Yeah. I'm listening to different audiobooks at work and I'm washing bottles and then someone will, like, and start talking to me and I'm like, hold on. They're in the middle of something. I gotta... i gotta Hold on. Hold on. no And hold on. Just a second, please. Um...
00:40:50
Speaker
All right, continuing our trend of sexiest and NSFW edits. Also, NSFW is not safe for work. I figured we didn't say that part yet.

Emotional Edits and Their Impact

00:41:12
Speaker
Showcasing the two most talked about prospects in the world.
00:41:21
Speaker
Where's the boy Rosanoff? My what?
00:41:25
Speaker
Red, Red Desert. Oh, so good. That's such a good one. My what? My what?
00:41:36
Speaker
All right, Red Desert, such a good song. the ah just I forget about Five Sauce. I saw Five Sauce when they opened for One Direction ah time, which a pull.
00:41:50
Speaker
And I've kind of forgotten about them. And they're really good. need to get back into my five slots era. i was like, I could talk about them for a while. just ah Oh, did you suggest this edit maybe? No, that one is actually not me.
00:42:04
Speaker
Oh, it was Amanda? I don't think. Where'd we get it from? Was it Lau? i don't remember. if you like if it was me, it was Anna. I don't think so because all of Anna's were in Spanish so I think this was suggested by Maybe it was me.
00:42:22
Speaker
someone I don't remember. yeah It's so good though. It's so good. talk No, but it's so good. but Like, no notes. Such a good song.
00:42:32
Speaker
Again, Margz edits doing the thing. And we salute you. Braver than the Marines. Doing the Lord's work. true. really you Doing the Lord's work.
00:42:45
Speaker
Another facet of community. and Exactly. I'm gonna go watch all these edits by myself later on tonight. Or I'll just reheat again. Either. Either works.
00:42:56
Speaker
I'm in the middle of a fanfic that is really good. Ooh, tea. Oh, this is a good one! I'm excited. All right. Canada-Russia finals showcasing the two most talked about prospects in the world.
00:43:10
Speaker
Canada's Shane Hollander and Russia's Ilya Rosanoff. Shane Hollander. Will you disappoint them? No.
00:43:36
Speaker
What is your room number?
00:43:48
Speaker
Amazing. good. Everything we dreamed of. No, literally. dreams. It's like true Exactly what I wanted. Oh, good. So Such a good one. ah Again, ah Bucky. So, you know, shout out to Melly for doing that. Again, with the the sound isolation is so good. oh Specifically the elevator.
00:44:11
Speaker
Yeah. And then the end where the music changes a little bit, something different. Impressive. 10 out of 10. 10 out of 10. Would recommend. I want a five dentist.
00:44:23
Speaker
Absolutely perfect. No doubt. No, exactly. It was perfect. I have no doubts. I'm sorry. Those were our NSFW edits. I know they were not very NSFW-y,
00:44:36
Speaker
but there's only so much we can do with the way the internet is the way that it is. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. But we all know.
00:44:47
Speaker
We all. We're not shown today. We can find them. There's the Google Drive folder. Exactly. Okay.
00:44:57
Speaker
Purr. Now I'm going to move into our next category. which is, i think, one of my favorite cat goodies. It is the most nostalgic category.
00:45:11
Speaker
um So these are for our millennials, which a lot of us are, or zillennial at least, because also Shane and Ilya are millennials. These are for our consumers of gay culture and pop culture of the aughts. um And it's also the song that you haven't heard in 10 years, and it still makes you want to shake your ass. So um we have Rasputin.
00:45:32
Speaker
the regular and then i'm instrumental we have the distance we have still into you and the one direction edit to end all edits they don't know about us i've i never heard live and i i have a i have that it's it's horrible for me anyways anyways i know i know i know be sad a miserable existence I know. Thank you. Thank you. All right. Move.
00:46:05
Speaker
If Rosano fucks you tonight, I'm gonna fucking back.
00:46:43
Speaker
Okay boys, one three I'm gonna cry. So good! so Oh my god! It's so good! Listen, wait i lover usually hate edits of Ilion Rosanoff to this song because I find them lazy.
00:47:01
Speaker
Like, I usually am like, oh he's Russian so you're playing Rasputin. And this one, it just works. It just works. the I just hope it works. It's not... Because I've seen so many of just like Ilya Rozenov doing stuff and you have this song and I'm like, is this the only song about a Russian guy that you know?
00:47:28
Speaker
Like, please. Because I love this song and I think it deserves this sort of edit.
00:47:36
Speaker
No, that's very good that's very true. One thing that I appreciate about that edit is that they use so many clips that edits don't use. Like incorporating the other characters of the show. Like that makes me want to watch the show again.
00:47:52
Speaker
Because they're like, it's like, oh yeah. Because normally we see the same clips over and over, which they're they're wonderful. Wonderful clips. I will never stop watching them. But that incorporates so many others that we don't see a lot. And so yeah I really appreciate that.
00:48:08
Speaker
Yeah, i I picked this edit specifically because it's my favorite of the Rasputin edits. um It has JJ in it, which Lau needs. um And then it also, I love the part where there it's the Vegas room and the like music drops out and it gets like really distant. like I just love when edits yeah do that. And so that's why I picked this one because I was like, That is so good. Also, there's, when we talked about fics on the show, on the podcast a couple of weeks ago, so they're my favorite, one of my favorite fics was Russia's Greatest Love Machine where Ilya's porn star. And so I think this kind of like really goes well with that fic. I agree. Even though Ilya's playing hockey in this. twist Not a porn star in this one, but you know.
00:48:58
Speaker
You know. Did you all do the Rasputin dance ever in Just just Dance? Yes. Yes. I would go to my friends' houses that specifically had Just Dance just so I could do the Rasputin dance.
00:49:12
Speaker
There are a lot of people who know it by memory. Yes. Yes. I love it. So great. Okay. Showpacing the two most talked about prospects in the world. Canada's Shane Hollander and Russia's Ilya Rosanoff.
00:49:51
Speaker
Have a good night. This is such a bad idea. Monk is.
00:50:01
Speaker
Monk was in crime. It would be helpful if we scored more fucking gold than you had a team. And how about that other team? Slow it out, Christian!
00:50:23
Speaker
thank you. Thank you guys.
00:50:30
Speaker
Oh my god, the eye contact at the end. Dear god. Everything! Everything! um Once again. Once again.
00:50:42
Speaker
The talent. The talent! We can see why HBO hired you. Yeah. You're perfect. You're perfect. I'm your fan. You're perfect. I have no notes. ah so The music, like, heck like how are changing and shifting and... how were they How are all of her so good?
00:51:03
Speaker
Talent, crazy mind. i know. Talent, hard work. so creative so creative yeah having that clip of Hayden uh-huh and Skip so much of Skip and we're getting this for free oh that part that part I was I felt like in coliseum you know like yes uh I love the like chopping up of that I also can tell that Bucky loves that moment where they're like
00:51:35
Speaker
Shane Hollander. Will you disappoint them? Yeah. Because it's so dramatic. She loves those things. Yes. Yes. um And we we support you in every shape and form for that. So you're welcome. ah You're welcome for our support. um Yeah.
00:51:51
Speaker
Oh, all right. I am ah moving into our next one, which I am going to play. It's one of my favorite songs. um And I added it kind of last minute and I'm going to make you all watch it.
00:52:07
Speaker
you ready Reluctantly crouched at the starting line. Shane Hollander. Engines pumping and thumping in time. Will you disappoint them? The green light flashes, the flags go up. no Churning and burning, they yearn for the cup.
00:52:20
Speaker
They deftly maneuver and muscle for rank. few burning fast on an empty tank reckless and they pour through the turns their prowess is potent and secretly stern as they speed through the finish the flags go down the fans get up and they get out of town the arena is empty except for one man still driving and striving as fast as he can the sun has gone down and the moon has come up and long ago somebody left with the cup but he's driving and hugging the turns and thinking of someone for whom
00:52:58
Speaker
Oh, such a good one. that was so i think I recommended that one. Did you? Okay. I'm pretty sure. Because I was like, this is slightly different, but I really like the, I like the way that it's like almost like poetry, like slam poetry. Yes. Yes. That's how all of the cake songs are.
00:53:16
Speaker
It was perfect. It was super. and and And the timing of the editing with the video and sound was just like. The cup. the but um Have you heard the song where it's like she wore, um she got on a long a short s skirt and a long yeah jacket. That's the same band.
00:53:39
Speaker
Ooh. Ooh. that's that's why it's a nostalgia at it is because that song is amazing and this is their other really good song the distance um they have so so they have two good songs um that i know of
00:53:56
Speaker
all right okay moving to our next one
00:54:15
Speaker
It's not a walk in the park to love each other. But when our fingers interlock, can't deny, can't deny, you're worth it.
00:54:26
Speaker
Cause after all this time, I'm still into you. should be
00:54:41
Speaker
And baby, even on our worst nights I'm into you Let them wonder how we got this far Cause I don't really need to wonder at all After all this time I'm still into you Oh!
00:55:04
Speaker
It's so them! It's so them! It's so them! I had blocked this song from my memory. was like, wow, this exists!
00:55:15
Speaker
And I used to love it and listen to it every single day of first year of undergrad. Our worst nights with the club scene.
00:55:26
Speaker
oh Pain, psychic damage. Oh, I'm gonna need to walk off a cliff. Oh, God. Oh, God.
00:55:40
Speaker
Oh, it was so good. So good. i love a Paramore edit. it no you give me any edit to Paramore and I am like, just 10 out of 10, like, will be obsessed.
00:55:53
Speaker
And listen, i was I was torn between putting this in the gayest or nostalgia, but I ended up doing nostalgia because this really unblocked memories for me. from la I love that a song can do that.
00:56:09
Speaker
Yeah. Yeah. Really takes me back. Really takes me back. Really takes me back. Now I'm just sitting here imagining an edit to the only exception. do
00:56:25
Speaker
b Listen, the fandom needs to stop putting edits to Taylor Swift and they need to start putting them to Paramore. yeah i mean, I didn't love Taylor Swift. No, no, Erin, you can't love Taylor Swift in this chat.
00:56:37
Speaker
Keep that name out your mouth. okay We are not, but this is not a safe space for Twists, Twisties, or whatever fucking name is.
00:56:49
Speaker
See, and this is why I knew you would say something about that, so I was going through my saved edits. I was like, ah, this Taylor Swift. Lauren's going to say something about that. I knew. Lauren, we're going to get murdered for this.
00:57:01
Speaker
I agree. This is not a safe place for Swifties. I'm sorry. Sorry, not sorry. Never has been, never will be. no it look i will be the Swiftie who will be recommending Taylor Swift edits.
00:57:17
Speaker
Not on my podcast. i would i vetted all of these to make sure there wasn't a Taylor Swift song. I was specifically going, no, first of all.
00:57:31
Speaker
I almost when i must put one to Elicit Affairs by Taylor Swift. I don't even know what that song is. like i Like, I'm so far behind on her music that I don't even know what that song is. All I know is that she's a Trump supporter and a homophobe. No, she's not.
00:57:45
Speaker
What about Love Story? I think Love Story could be a good one. I'm to think if I've seen one, though, to Love Story or not. No, because Taylor Swift edits don't belong to the fandom. I usually skip anything with Taylor Swift songs. but Yeah! just i' like If i if i hear that woman's voice in an opening of an edit, I'm like, I can't watch this edit. It ruins it for me.
00:58:08
Speaker
Yeah, sorry. wild paramore all together paramore though hayley williams oh very very gay lesbian vibes so they did a song together they've been friends for forever it's called castle scrambling it's actually really cute but i don't know that i don't trust those i don't trust that white woman this is a different type of lauren walks into the lake yeah ah No, and actually you're so right. um
00:58:41
Speaker
This is, this is, I will die on this hill. Like I would like for my tombstone to be like, Lauren was, like I don't want the thing where it's like beloved friend or anything. I want to be like a hater, hater. Like just put that on my tombstone.
00:58:57
Speaker
ah Donald Trump, Taylor Swift, and like peas, because I hate peas. Me too. They're so gross. Why are they sweet?
00:59:08
Speaker
They are. Why are they... Anyways. Okay. Anyways. Anyways. um Next edit in the style. Oh, this one's gonna do me in, unfortunately. don't know about us.
00:59:22
Speaker
They don't know how special you are. They don't know what you've done to me. They don't know how special you are.
00:59:38
Speaker
We do best between me and you a little secret But I want to tell them want to tell world that you're mine They don't know about the things we do They don't know about the heart of you But I'll bet you if it only you They will just be jealous of us
01:00:04
Speaker
That's so them. That's so them! That's so them. That's so them. That's them. It kills me. up kills Are you crying?
01:00:17
Speaker
No, I'm not. i'm My face is just saying. No, I thought you were crying. I thought you had tears in your eyes like Shane Hollander does. I mean, do that. killed me. listen was said enough yeah this kid this killed me this killed me I remember when this song came out and I wrote a One Direction fan fiction about this song.
01:00:41
Speaker
I remember while listening. I remember up getting this uploaded to my little MP3 player and with me and my MP3 player and my headphones on the bus. to i i was distraught when I went to the Take Me Home tour and they didn't sing this song.
01:00:59
Speaker
Distraught. Like it ruined my life. They did like every song except for this. You put Holonov to a One Direction and it's going to break somebody.
01:01:10
Speaker
it's going to break so it's It's going to break me. This would have gone triple platinum on my 1D Tumblr. I'm just saying. I can imagine.
01:01:23
Speaker
All right. Any other thoughts about our most nostalgic? Those just made me really nostalgic and I need to go like listen to all of those songs. The very 2000s. So yeah I am not at One Direction girl. ive I never was. I appreciate the edit.
01:01:38
Speaker
But I think the one that got me was Paramore. Definitely. Absolutely. Yeah. Yeah. What are you doing to me? yeah no now my Now my brain is sitting here going, man, Crush could have gotten in the nostalgia edit too. I know. That's the thing is like we made, we should have made the edit categories first and then done the video. should that would have That would have made more sense. But unfortunately, if our brains had been in the right mindset to organize this. My brain was my brain is my garbage right now. yeah Right now there's three of us that are at the end of the school year. Yeah. like
01:02:19
Speaker
um um my my brain like a amanda's like that and then we're all in the background are like yeah
01:02:30
Speaker
yeah but i'm also like looking for a job and but like coming out of my internship so i feel whatever i'm just kidding no Okay, fuck me, I guess.
01:02:43
Speaker
No, no. I know this is a difficult time for you. i'm I'm praying for you to get good jobs. Thanks. I'm praying for you to come to shit. I applied. I applied for that thing on that boat.
01:02:57
Speaker
We'll see. And we love that. and We love that. Also, I kind of want to stay here.
01:03:04
Speaker
that's not allowed. That's not allowed. Okay, now switching to our next edit category, which is, changed the name of this a little bit, but I'm basically saying that this is the category of pop culture crossovers that, like, I want to be inside your mind because, like, your mind is amazing to me. Like, please give me the brain cells at this moment. It's like the Cynthia Erivo gif where she's, like, tapping her head. Oh, where she's like, yes, yes, that me. Yeah, yeah, Um, these edits include Wait For It by QEdits, Ahoa Hoa Hoa Hoa by SoBuzzy, Part of Your World by Mystic Lavender, Minecraft by Curbs, and Show the Way by Maybelline, I think.
01:03:54
Speaker
Maybe Lily? Maybe Lily? I also know that is Mystic Lavender. Like, like, clavicular. Oh, No, it's actually not that one I'm excited about. Well, I realize that now. saw Lavender and i was like, oh. and Okay.
01:04:18
Speaker
Hamilton doesn't hesitate. He exhibits no restraint. Takes and he takes and he takes and he keeps winning anyway. Changes the game, plays and he raises the stakes.
01:04:30
Speaker
And if there's a reason he seems to thrive and so few survive, then God
01:04:39
Speaker
to the cottage
01:05:10
Speaker
Wow, that was made before the right when the show was finishing coming out. Because that was posted December 21st. Yeah. um RIP Aaron Burr, you would have loved.
01:05:22
Speaker
um but ah No, that was so good. With the like Scott keeps winning and the game change the game changer. No, all the Hamilton edits that I've seen for this fandom, which is a wild crossover, yeah are insane. They're so good.
01:05:40
Speaker
Out of the like hundred edits that I went went through, going through to pick pick out edits, I had at least five Hamilton ones. Yeah, there's a lot of Hamilton habit itston edits. and i'm I'm surprised we don't have, today, we don't have anything with Epic. that I know, that right? That's a big crossover I see.
01:06:00
Speaker
i don't anyway I don't know Epic, but i'm true I have been making reference to Epic the whole season. Yeah, and I've been getting them.
01:06:10
Speaker
What has Lauren been doing? but i don't imagine that i don't know if I've gotten any recommended to me with Epic. I've definitely seen some. Which is wild. Is it a Disney movie? I don't even know what it is What that? Is that a Disney movie?
01:06:25
Speaker
Oh my god. It's about to get an adaptation. It's... it's ah And also for our listeners that don't know, Epic the Musical is this saga that goes through the Odyssey...
01:06:36
Speaker
almost in musical style but all the songs tell the story there's no spoken parts it's all musical tracks and so you have all the different character voices there's different characters there's these different moments it's absolutely fantastic it's like orchestrally done like with the tur the background it's glorious it's amazing what it's so good like i am low-key traumatized yeah his brain is part he's actually doing the iliad right now he's writing yes yes i know we're gonna get gay achilles and patroclus thank Yeah, so I recommend to give that a listen. Just go right from top to bottom. It's fantastic. Okay. so there is 2013 animated fantasy action film starring Colin Farrell, Josh Hutcherson, Amanda Seyfried, Christoph Waltz, ah Aziz Ansari, Pitbull, Jason Sudeikis, and Beyonce. um And I've seen that, and that's what I thought you guys were referencing this whole time.
01:07:34
Speaker
No! Epic the Musical! It came out like a few years ago! It was done by a student who was doing thesis and it has sagas and it has like fans have animated it to like upload the whole thing on- put out?
01:07:51
Speaker
He put it out like over the span of like two years. like Every few months would put out another saga. And so it's so it's so funny that I've not gotten any heated rivalry epic edits. Because I have lots of Percy Jackson and epic edits.
01:08:06
Speaker
Can you imagine just like Svitlana or Rose being introduced with a woman? I see that definitely for Rose. nice sensation. Definitely Rose.
01:08:19
Speaker
I love that. Ooh, maybe Lao, you and I should do a little, like, side episode about, like, who we think would be who in Epic and Musical. We should. We definitely should. That would be really fun. That would be so funny.
01:08:31
Speaker
Yeah, check it out. It's really Lauren has homework. You can find the whole thing because a lot of fans have just, like, uploaded it on YouTube. For us. Yeah.
01:08:41
Speaker
Or you can just, like, listen to it like you listen to a podcast, but whatever. Oh. Okay. Tea. All right. Next pop culture crossover.
01:08:52
Speaker
Oh, this is Amanda's. This is so funny. All right. It's not even a hoa hoa hoa one, but I had to put that down because come on.
01:09:24
Speaker
Why does fit so well? It acts so well. am triggered by Twilight. i I take offense, but at the same time it's too good. I came across my feed when we were planning this episode. I was like, there's no way I can't not send this. like This is just frying me so bad. It's so awesome.
01:09:45
Speaker
I mean, the lone Washingtonian ah right here. it i have things I could say about Twilight, but I will say The first movie's soundtrack is literally one of the best soundtrack. Once again, Paramore. It's so good.
01:10:03
Speaker
Once again, Paramore. Paramore and just everybody else that's on it. Muse and music. Yes. So cool. Death Cab for Cutie. Like, yeah that album shaped my music taste as a teenager.
01:10:17
Speaker
like And so, just watching this, with Bella and Edmond. And like that Paramore song you can't find on like any fucking platforms. like You have to buy the Twilight album to listen to that song. I just i just take offense at the parallel between Edward and Ilya, because I, oh in my mind, Edward equals my toxic ex-boyfriend from my teenage years.
01:10:44
Speaker
But i I agree with Amanda. We could not just ignore this. um No. No. Didn't one time we say that Ilia is a vampire? Yes, I say that all of the time.
01:10:55
Speaker
Yeah, but let's add the Lyoncourt type of vampire. Brad Prince. Not whatever Mormon version of vampires we have in Twilight. Yeah, that's true. Yeah, he's not he's not the he's not the Twilight vampire. But I have... I did see someone headcanon.
01:11:13
Speaker
Like... Emmett trying to be friends with Ilya. and Emmett being like telling Ilya like we're vampires and Ilya being like okay and like yeah know vampires too. Like talking about people from Russia. It's so funny.
01:11:30
Speaker
It's so funny. And like Emmett like can't like because Emmett's one of my favorite characters in Twilight and so he can't get Edward to understand it. Or Edward, Ilya to understand it. ah It's so good. It's so good.
01:11:43
Speaker
um okay Oh, this one also destroyed me, so thanks for forever. What would I give live where you are?
01:11:55
Speaker
What would I pay to stay here beside What would I do to see you?
01:12:11
Speaker
Oh my god. That's so cute. Bro.
01:12:40
Speaker
bro Yeah, my heart is broken. My childhood has come back. yeah I was obsessed with that song when I was like five. It's so good.
01:12:55
Speaker
In the Latin American version. Yeah, no, T. As I would assume you would have been, yeah. But it it will depend on who had bought me the movie because I did have Mulan in English.
01:13:07
Speaker
Oh, Mulan. She's a real one. yeah um I've been saying, like, when someone fucks up and then they apologize, I'm like, I revoke the dishonor on your cow. And I said it in the lab and my coworker, like, thought it was the funniest thing he's ever heard. And I was like, do you know what I'm referencing? And he was like, no. And I was like, from Mulan. mua and long No. this honor around here cow It's so funny. I used it in book club and everyone thought it was really funny. Also, relatedly, Lauren's. You know how you talk about night gardening? I said something about night cowing and book club lost
01:13:44
Speaker
is Yeah. Night cowing? Taking cows at night, I think. I don't remember the context, but it was something about cows at night. i mean, you can like cow tip.
01:13:55
Speaker
It's really fucking hard. They're heavy. yeah they're heavy as fuck.
01:14:26
Speaker
beauty okay i've seen hadestown me too i haven't i have listened i have heard the songs and i have seen the clips of it I've seen like, I've like bootlegged it on the end. I've sailed the high seas.
01:14:42
Speaker
Okay. Slime tutorial. tutorial. I have not because I have the illusion that eventually I will see Yeah. yeah Yeah, well, it was like, I saw Hamilton because I won, like, tickets to go to Hamilton. um But I had also bootlegged that on the internet, too. And then now I could just watch it on Disney pal Plus all the So the sad story with Hadestown and me is that i was in New York, I was living in Boston, and my friend from the band that we have mentioned before invited me to New new York because they were playing there. And I could only go there for, like,
01:15:19
Speaker
one night. I could go to the concert, come back to Boston because I had to teach. And they had tickets for Hadestown the afternoon I have moved. I would have been like, I'm sorry, I'm sick. i it was This was like before he I knew what it was like.
01:15:37
Speaker
Yeah. My friend was just like, he loves musicals and he was like, I heard, I've never seen this one before, I heard it's really good. Let's go. And I was like, my flight is before you go to the... would have been like, well, god I guess I'm finding a different way back to Boston. I'm shipping my way up to Boston or something like that.
01:15:56
Speaker
Yeah. This is where i live now. This is where I live now. I live the middle of nowhere. I'm sorry. All right, our final edit for this category. This is so Amanda Coded. I have nothing else to say about it. It's the most Amanda Coded thing I've seen in a while.
01:16:12
Speaker
And here we go.
01:16:49
Speaker
experience game fries me.
01:16:58
Speaker
Watching Amanda's face the whole time. She looked so pleased with herself. Yeah. Literally. i was like, oh, no, this is this is Amanda edit.
01:17:11
Speaker
Yeah. um Perfect. and person amazing As a person who organized all Amanda's edits, was like, this is so them. I love this so much. This is so them, Coden. was like, doom, doom.
01:17:25
Speaker
Bro. You died. I'm surprised it wasn't like a creeper exploding, because that would have been funny with the the glory and All right. Those were all amazing. like Those like get gave me a giggle. um We are now moving on to our next our next category. This is our next category. I'm coming to the cottage. So obviously this moment changed all of our lives, including Shane and Ilya, I guess. um It lives rent-free in my head at all points. um And also so did these edits. And all I would like for things to happen to me is for Ilya Rosenhoff to tell me that he wants me to come to the cottage because then everything would be okay, right? Right? Right? Right?
01:18:07
Speaker
Our edits, um, Mora asks, Ilya responds by Julia, Constellations by Mayuski, Tongue Tie by Holonov but it's Hala CV, Wait by Bucky, and I'm Coming to the Cottage by Help Please, edit.
01:18:24
Speaker
I just need to say something but before you put the one that is in Spanish, is that the song that is playing is called, aon de rammossis Where Are We Going? So it's that's why Murad the band asks, where are we going? elilia responds, we're going to the cottage. Also courtesy of Anna.
01:18:43
Speaker
Thank you, Anna.
01:19:20
Speaker
Aww. That was so cute! I famously don't listen to Morat, but I know all the songs because I get freak tickets to concerts sometimes.
01:19:32
Speaker
And I love that for you. i love that for you. And my friends do listen to them, so that's why Anna had them saved.
01:19:41
Speaker
Exactly, exactly. This was, yeah, i like that song. It's good. Any other? Sorry, i don't I don't have any thoughts because I know some of that Spanish. so Yeah, it it it talks about amor a primera vista, so first sign the for love at first sight. And adonde vamos, I know that. It talks about the summer,
01:20:01
Speaker
so Like, we were together during the summer. And that's why we have so many cottage images. And because, of course, the answer to Adonde Vamos is we're going to the cottage.
01:20:14
Speaker
Exactly. It's very cutie. As it should be. And we love that. was like, that was just cute. Yeah. All right. Our next. Lights are turned on.
01:20:35
Speaker
I'm coming to the cottage. I'm coming to the cottage.
01:21:05
Speaker
Oh, just kill me. Just kill me. The freckles, the constellations. i know. This feeling is amazing. Wow.
01:21:17
Speaker
Wow. That was everything to me. Such a good I'm coming to the cottage too. ah right. You ready for the next? After he says I'm coming to the cottage. Just Shane's face.
01:21:30
Speaker
Yeah, the moon's in his eyes. I know. Oh, it's fine. it's like Next up, one of my favorites. What the? I'm coming to the cottage.
01:21:47
Speaker
I'm coming to the cottage.
01:21:58
Speaker
That's just a fun little montage. ah So good. like Like that you would expect at like the end of a season on a show. Like just a cute little montage to a song.
01:22:09
Speaker
Oh, yes, exactly. give me ki was just so wholesome. Give me kiss. Give me kiss. Give me. Oh, so good. i love them. hear people call that um mermaid Ilya.
01:22:21
Speaker
yeah Yes. We. No. like. we like In our doc, when we were commenting that episode, the section was called mermaids. Oh, really? Yeah. Maybe that's what I'm thinking of.
01:22:39
Speaker
People call it mermaid. And it's just us. It's us. No, it's actually everyone else. But, um, yeah. Listen, we're good. We're good. Um...
01:22:52
Speaker
I can't be something, Wunder. you want to be, if we could? we can't We can't. I wish you were here, I am. Will you come to my cottage this summer?
01:23:04
Speaker
It's so private, no one will know. Wunder, you know we can't do that. I don't think I can keep pretending I don't like you anymore.
01:23:24
Speaker
I want only you. I'm coming to the cottage.
01:23:34
Speaker
the hadestown strike two my god yeah yeah just just right in the feels for you uh-huh so powerful oh absolutely wild it was yeah is this is this like number four that we've had of of all bucky yeah and it's not the last one by the way yeah there's one more we're an all bucky fan account yeah talent gets gets nominated.
01:24:05
Speaker
Yeah. Exactly. you no exactly yeah We are Mellie's, Bucky's biggest fans. Yeah. Indeed. no Exactly. all right. Last one for this category. You ready?
01:24:17
Speaker
No. I'm coming to the cottage. I'm coming to the cottage. I'm coming to the cottage. I'm coming to the cottage. I'm coming to the cottage.
01:24:28
Speaker
I'm coming to the cottage. I'm coming to the cottage. I'm coming to the cottage. I'm coming to the cottage.
01:24:35
Speaker
Sexy! This was Christmas Day too! That's good shit. I love Amanda looking at that Right into my veins. Inject it right into my veins. I think they played this at the heated rivalry rave that Amanda and I went to.
01:24:49
Speaker
Probably. Fun. like And I always lick the wall.
01:24:59
Speaker
You know, I thought about not doing that. I can't deal with you.
01:25:10
Speaker
I'm gonna go now.
01:25:14
Speaker
Wow, that was really great. You know what? I will say, i was surprised by the lack of edits that I was scrolling through that actually had the I'm coming to the cottage actually in it.
01:25:27
Speaker
With this show, with this. Yeah, that was hard to find. Because most often when I think about the I'm coming to the cottage, it's the little people yeah you know what mean yes the little claymation people the little calico critters the calico critters and most often it was the the it was shane going will you come to my cottage my cottage this we should have done a category on like best animation
01:25:59
Speaker
two Season 2. Season 2. Season 2. We'll be doing it at an edit awards for Season 2, I'm sure. Or 3. Or wherever. we We'll figure it out. Okay. That ends that category. We're going to move to our next category, which is... The next category is... Most likely to make a Lord want to walk into the lake.
01:26:19
Speaker
So something like I've been saying a lot recently is that I want to take a long walk off a short pier or I'm just going to walk into the lake. Okay. So these are ouch edits. These are edits that make me go, oh.
01:26:34
Speaker
Um, maybe like, I'm not sad about heated rivalry. It's a restored, it's like a corrective experience. It's not sad. And then every fandom editor being like, oh hold on, hold please. Um, so we've got somebody soldier by with love clove silver spoon by one of her Jiggins girl crush by heated rivalry, I guess. Take me to church by movies by MJ and fall in love again and again by ah Bucky.
01:27:06
Speaker
Just looking at these titles. Mentally, gird your loins!
01:27:15
Speaker
And it felt like we were something. We can't be something, Holandor.
01:27:24
Speaker
Would you want to be? If we could? We can't.
01:27:54
Speaker
I'm coming to the cottage.
01:28:00
Speaker
Psychic damage. Listen, Hosea has a way to break my heart. In every person. Literally. Every fandom. Also, again, this has like Ilya and Alexei in it, which we don't see a lot in edits. Yeah.
01:28:18
Speaker
to Wow. Literally makes me want to walk into the... And the change of the lyrics in the text?
01:28:29
Speaker
Yeah. just Just kill me now. you Why am I doing this to myself? This is true this is one of five, so hold on. Hold on. We're going through the full range of the human emotion spectrum i'm in this episode. And it's not the only one with Hosier in it. No, it's not. I did notice that. The other one is worse, actually. Yeah. We should have started with this category. Oh my God. No, we're ending with the one that's going to rip our hearts out.
01:28:54
Speaker
Yes, exactly. Obviously. what What else are we going do? Your mother said I'm always welcome. To visit, to take second, help us.
01:29:07
Speaker
Said no thanks, I'm so full of resentment. Good
01:29:59
Speaker
Damn. Who's guilty for this? Who's guilty for this? Oh, me. You have killed me. every Every Silver Spoon edit for any fandom absolutely murders me, like, dead. But, like, I'm just sitting here now imagining after season two.
01:30:19
Speaker
Oh! Guys. Bro. Oh, no. Bro.

Serious Themes in Fanfiction

01:30:29
Speaker
say nice things at my funeral but ah gun isn't enough a gun isn't enough god is ah ah this is like very advanced torture torture psychological torture are actually we supposed to do this to ourselves right yeah this is like this is like stumbling upon a completed work a completed fic that's like one hundred k words and they don't tag that one of them gets cancer halfway through it.
01:31:00
Speaker
Yeah. for Exactly. Oh my god. Or that there's dementia, that Ilya gets dementia. i will never read that. Oh my god. but But it's not tagged. please So you don't know until you're halfway through your invested. This why only read what Lauren and Mal tell me to read.
01:31:18
Speaker
No, that's so real, honestly. That's so valid. That's so valid of you. Okay, next, I guess.
01:32:11
Speaker
This is a crime.
01:32:15
Speaker
and do you want to you want to know but Do you want to know who's also guilty for this crime? Of course! You're a criminal, Irene. Damn it! I had so many. Literally, though i i had to narrow it down. I had, like, seven just absolutely break your heart.
01:32:32
Speaker
Why you want to torture yourself? Does it make me feel something? Alright, babe. I could look up psychiatrists in your area. Listen, that is the most...
01:32:45
Speaker
That is the most teacher because i' one at at the end of the school year. Have you migrated over to just showing movies?
01:32:56
Speaker
No. We still have two and a half, three, we still have three and a half weeks. I can't yet. Oh oh my god.
01:33:07
Speaker
I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, but also holy fucking shit, why are you doing this to me?
01:33:15
Speaker
Erin was like, i am not suffering alone. I'm not suffering alone. I'm not suffering everyone with me. That's why sometimes when I share edits, I just caption it. Misery loves company. And I send it.
01:33:28
Speaker
It's the only warning you get, actually. Actually, on the Discord server. And you know what? Actually, if Erin shared it, you know what's going Don't watch it. Don't watch it. you're Don't watch it.
01:33:41
Speaker
Alright, ready? Ready, I guess, for this one? I am not. What problem. Good job. Thanks.
01:34:17
Speaker
We were born sick.
01:34:22
Speaker
Another one that I sent into the Discord. Straight into my bisexual crisis. Sorry. When i was younger. Just any time, any time an edit to Hoesher and then it shows that I was born sick on Shane either in the restaurant or in the scene with Yuna.
01:34:47
Speaker
And you just die right there. The only heaven... um is what I'm going to do. And Elias eyes! And Elias eyes- No, no, no. Just... Take me out.
01:35:02
Speaker
I have nothing to say. like Nothing. Just let me go. Die.
01:35:11
Speaker
all right, last one. Last one. Oh my god. We can do it guys. We can do it. We can do it. Can we? Oh. It's a Bucky.
01:35:21
Speaker
I have only
01:35:36
Speaker
Same here. Only one. Can I ask if you've ever been with another guy? Ilya Rozenov. Shane Hollander. up I wanted to introduce myself.
01:35:49
Speaker
This is such a bad idea. What You're not gonna tell anyone about this idea? We are not in a game. Blow away, Oliver. do You haven't sent text from me in like six months. So yeah, what the fuck do you actually want from me? sure I Elliot, I can't do this.
01:36:03
Speaker
I'm sorry. I don't think I can keep pretending I don't like you anymore. I'm coming to the cottage. Is that what you want? To be together? So much is scary. It will be. I love you too.
01:36:27
Speaker
And I don't have a lake. I don't have the ocean.
01:36:32
Speaker
I'm in the middle of the Andes. What am I supposed to do? um Jump off a mountain. I am not an... Actually, that's not an option either.
01:36:47
Speaker
I might try to go up and up and up until there's no oxygen, maybe.
01:36:54
Speaker
Yeah. started We started this episode with Mellie. And we've ended the episode with Mellie. And she's hurt us every time.
01:37:05
Speaker
She's hurt every time. In some way, shape, or form. yeah Maybe we need to run the first one back just to feel like something else. Okay.
01:37:15
Speaker
After we get off the call, we can run it back. i am i am I am out of feelings at the moment. I'm so great. That was rough. That was a rough one. And the caption of that video is what Shane DMs Instagram, or is what Ilya DMs Shane on Instagram no during the law game. No.
01:37:34
Speaker
Oh. i was like notice this I didn't even notice This is psychological torture. you No. No. the Can you imagine Ilya during that scene and the montage running through his head? Oh, the edits that we're gonna get from that? Oh my god. Oh my god. The edits from next scene. Oh my god.
01:37:58
Speaker
Oh my god. No. I can't. This is gonna monstrosity. This gonna be a catastrophe. They're gonna hit the edits' towers.
01:38:11
Speaker
No.
01:38:13
Speaker
Less than 2027 are going to just be... We're going be emotionally destroyed. go be And if they release it week by week... Oh my god. Oh, they have to. Because I still remember... But you know that's gonna be an it's going to be a cliffhanger in the long game. It's going to be an episode cliffhanger. I still remember all the things she said.
01:38:33
Speaker
going to throw up. Oh my god. And we didn't even have any edits to all the things she said. No! Too easy. Low-hanging fruit.
01:38:44
Speaker
Low-hanging fruit. We had to go emotionally torture ourselves for the last 15 minutes. Ugh. Um, alright. Well, thank you for attending the Edit Awards.
01:38:55
Speaker
no I think... No winners. I think Melly can definitely be, um... an honorable mention of you're in, I think, every category.
01:39:08
Speaker
Melly was not in the first category, which was the gayest, but I'm sure I could have found a gay Melly one. You could have. yeah like ah Technically, all of them were the gayest. We were just giving everyone else a chance.
01:39:21
Speaker
Yeah, exactly.

Season Wrap-Up and Community Building

01:39:22
Speaker
No, and Melly was in every other one. there were so There's so many edits that I have to now think about.
01:39:30
Speaker
Oh my God. wow Well, all of these will be linked in our show notes. If you want to go rewatch them and experience. onely We're like, we don't know how to move on from this. ah How do I function? That, yeah, that I'm sorry that we ended it that way, but ah we hope you that you enjoyed the edit awards. We'll be doing it again because this was a lot of fun. Thank you so much to Erin for coming out. um Do you have anything that you would like to plug, share with us, anything like that?
01:40:01
Speaker
honestly i am a very very private individual due to my job so I will not I was like if you follow me on Instagram that means you're a select few people who have been invited to follow me but just thank you for having me this was so much fun I had fun torturing you guys especially this last one and um you know for those of you that are in the discord I will continue to torture you occasionally I'm so grateful for you Yeah. Appreciate your professional portraying Yes. All right. We will be or right back after a short little break.
01:40:42
Speaker
Okay. So um thank you again to Aaron for coming on the show. um We just wanted to end this episode um by like kind of doing a little closeout. on The first season of Since Rookie Season Pod is in the books. Yeah. A special thank you to all of our guests from this season, who include Ollie, Kate, Mal, Ethan, JM, Kaylee, Haley, Rogue, Katie, Brie, Jordan, Eden, and Aaron.
01:41:14
Speaker
You all made this pod so amazing. You gave us so many things to talk about, think about, um and also helped us you know like stretch our critical consciousness around the show, which is definitely the point of this podcast so thank you so much for volunteering your time and your labor and your expertise to come on the episodes and talk with us and our fans um we really appreciate you yeah we also want to say thank you like additional thanks to folks who sent in voice memos uh Those were

Heated Rivalries and Fandom Engagement

01:41:45
Speaker
so fun. So thank you, Alison, Anna, Donna, Hailey, Susan, and those who wanted to stay Anon as well. We loved your feedback, your specialty knowledge, and chatting about this obsession with you.
01:41:59
Speaker
Yes, and an absolutely huge, massive, endless thank you to our listeners. We could not be doing this without you all. Massive thank you to all of our supporters, those who follow us on social media, review us on all the platforms, all of that good stuff. We appreciate it so much. Seeing the metrics go up each week and seeing just like an increase in listenership has just like made me feel like I'm not just shouting into a void that there's actually people on the other side of this and that I'm not just going crazy. um And then maybe my my silly thoughts are maybe being appreciated by some, even when they're kind of stupid. Always appreciated, Amanda. Always. And they're not stupid. not stupid. Don't say that about yourself. Don't say that about my best friend.
01:42:45
Speaker
Also, wait. Thank you to Lauren's parents. yes And thank you to Lao's parents. And thank you to Amanda's mom. I don't think my dad is listening, but... My mom doesn't know I do this. Yeah, no. yeah but My father's still listening to Yeah, Amanda.
01:43:03
Speaker
Yeah, thank you for birthing. Wow, this was... you guys did important work, really. Yeah, yeah. We love doing this pod so much. We adored this season. We cannot wait for next season. I'm going to be thinking of the most random ideas that we can possibly cover, and I will be thinking of some dumb shit.
01:43:21
Speaker
No, and the real thing is we haven't done what all we've made all of our guests do all season. I don't think. You're right. you We have to answer what makes heated rivalry so addictive.
01:43:34
Speaker
Huh. I can start. I already know. Let's go. That's true. It's two things that I have talked about on the pod previously or have been mentioned on the pod previously. One, I really think it is that like corrective experience. um We've talked about this before. um we will link the threads again for this explanation. But basically that like heated rivalry, like when bad things quote unquote happened to the characters, Like their family still supports them. Their support system is still there. It's a corrective experience for a lot of people's queer experiences. And that's something that's really beautiful.
01:44:13
Speaker
And then what Katie Morrissey said on our episode about romance novels, like why it's so addictive is it's just, there's like so much time and like different like storylines to play with. And so it really becomes this like really expansive place that fans can,
01:44:33
Speaker
think about and hypothesize and write stories about. And that in turn creates really interesting conversations. So yeah, i would say those are my two reasons why.
01:44:47
Speaker
What they said. No, I'm kidding. No, unreal. I am actually like, i agree with everything you said. i would add to me, I love yearning.
01:44:58
Speaker
oh um I i love torturing myself with love stories and long situationships, I guess. um The cinematography of this show, given the budget, that also helped. Like, I really think that even if I did devour the books that I have read so far from the series, the show has something else.
01:45:29
Speaker
um that keeps me reheating. I don't think I want to reread as much as I want to reheat. And the actors, the soundtrack, and you know, this is like my special thing. I love how intimacy is told through sex scenes.
01:45:51
Speaker
um That was just perfect. i I was caught, like, the first scene that we had, I was like, okay, this is gonna be for me. I love it. So I oh keep reheating and I expect season two to be way more addictive.
01:46:14
Speaker
Because I know myself. I know myself. I know myself. I am, yeah, that's gonna hit hard. For sure. Yeah.
01:46:25
Speaker
I'm going throw in the... I mean, obviously, of course, what y'all said, but also, um i think the community aspect is huge. I think that's part of why it blew up so much is part part of what some of our guests have said before is that they're able to like engage with people so much and able to have that playful space, but also with each other so far insofar as that it's not just the media, it's with each other now. And it's that like human human, like relationship that they can build and like we can bond over these things and we can, we have this shared knowledge and the shared corrective experience and then now we're putting either our own things into it our own ideas we're pulling from other fandoms to make these different tropes or putting in our own headcanons and I think that building a community around that around these people who are facing these like real life struggles more or less um especially like the homophobia I think
01:47:18
Speaker
having because this this isn't just like the bury your gaze that people aren't dying like the stakes are comparatively are comparatively low to other ones uh other queer like series and so i think that makes it a lot more relatable even if yeah all of us have a 10-year situation ship i think that um it's more relatable than that some of us have have have had that like yearning experience or have had that like back and forth will they won't they um or have had to hide stuff from our family before and be like i have this major secret
01:47:48
Speaker
And I think finding community in that and finally having a ah ah place in the world where we can experience that. Because if this if this show came out like 20 years ago, I don't think it would have been as monumental. I think it it would have been to trans. This show wouldn't have been made 20 years ago.
01:48:03
Speaker
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. So I think the fact that it's coming out now at a time where we need queer media and we need like... happy-ish queer media, um where people aren't getting murdered all the time, I think that that's um really important and ah contributes to why- it's like safe, it's so- it's like why I go back to Our Flag Means Death, is because it's so safe and comforting and I see happy gay people. Yeah.
01:48:30
Speaker
yeah Yeah, exactly. And now that you say community, like, the fact that we were in France- Until, yeah. Well, i mean Amanda and I were, but you know. And Amanda and I were, but we were in this like... Close.
01:48:45
Speaker
Yeah, we were in this trio that has emerged from the experience of figuring out a podcast. Oh God. On our own. her own none On Not our own. We have very helpful friends that have guided us every time we ask questions. Yes.
01:49:04
Speaker
But yeah, it has been beautiful because we did get a new community through podcasting about it. So it really is something that brings people together. It's not just something that represents community. It's also something that builds it.
01:49:23
Speaker
So... Yeah. Yeah. For sure. So true. Wow. wow We're going to have to come up with a new question for next quarter. Or next quarter. Next season. i search you I'm sorry. My brain is diseased. My brain is so funny. It's so good.
01:49:40
Speaker
I was going to say the thing that I, listeners, my my my dear listeners, i was describing Luca Haas in a previous episode and was totally describing Maddie Hollow and did not realize it I forgot Matty Hollow existed and replaced him in my head with Luca Haas. And I don't know where I said that. I don't know when I did. I just know that I did because we were talking about, we were talking about something.
01:50:08
Speaker
I was like, no, Luca Haas is like the, and and whatever thinking, oh, it was in the women episode because I was talking about Maria. No, she went after Matty Hollow and no one caught him I don't think anyone caught it. So um we have white men blindness.
01:50:23
Speaker
Mighty Hollow's not white. Okay. I haven't read the books. Where's he from? Where's he from? I mean... But he's European.
01:50:36
Speaker
Wait. Oh my god, he is white.
01:50:43
Speaker
And that explains why. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. both of them I'm sorry. thought he was... I thought he was... The name did not make sense to me for a white man.
01:50:57
Speaker
He's like Scandinavian. Yeah. I should know that. Anyways. So I just wanted to throw that out there that I totally did that. So if someone was confused by it, that's why. um Well, clearly none of us know who Body Hollow is.
01:51:15
Speaker
Also, Maria dating a white man girl, why? Why? Why? In this day and age? It was like 2019 or 2020.
01:51:26
Speaker
In that day and age? Dating a white man? No. That's true.

Cultural Events and Hosts' Personalities

01:51:30
Speaker
That's true. Also, Lauren and I still may or may not do a hockey ah a short little... okay Bro, if the Golden Knights are going to the Stanley Cup, I don't want any i don't want to do anything about it. But shout out to Montreal Victory. The Victoire? Yes. Yes.
01:51:48
Speaker
We love the victoire. Congrats to them. Shout out to the Walter Cup winners. 2026. We did not have a three-peat with the Frost. um And thank God. And thank God, you know? We didn't need Britta Curl to be a three-peater.
01:52:01
Speaker
No. There is someone who was on the Frost the first two seasons and then she got traded to the Victoire this season and now she so she is a 3P but she's not pretty girl. I don't know her name unfortunately.
01:52:11
Speaker
I'm gonna miss listening to you all talk about hockey when everyone is talking about football and the FIFA instead. Oh yeah that is that summer. And the World Cup up and all that. Yeah but then the hockey season starts back up. I'm gonna i'm gonna build a bunker.
01:52:28
Speaker
and I will disappear until the word cover is done because hate you. It's like, what are Skogs there? What on? I hate it. But I mean, maybe in the meantime, you can check out the new P-Dub expansion teams. We got four new teams added. Still not in Skog, though. I know.
01:52:43
Speaker
I know. It's still not in the South. What the heck? Amanda, I love you, but I can't watch Hulky. I get lost. There's so many lesbians. I know, but i can I can watch them out of the eyes.
01:52:56
Speaker
and appreciate them more because when everyone is moving, it's very confusing. That's okay. We'll tell you the highlights. Exactly. not Yeah, exactly.
