Speaker: The Dungeon Made Me Do It is a real play D&D podcast.

Speaker: Not sure what that means, here's what you need to know.

Speaker: We the characters will act our way through an adventure.

Speaker: The story progresses by our actions, which don't always work out.

Speaker: The degree of success is measured by the roll of a 20-sided dice.

Speaker: 20 being an absolute success in our favor and one being a critical failure.

Speaker: We'll be playing with milestone leveling for anyone wanting to keep track.

Speaker: We'll be starting our story at level three, where level one and two will be aired separately as they are individual stories.

Speaker: Before we begin our story, you can find us on our socials where any and all feedback is appreciated.

Speaker: You can find us on Twitter at TheDungeonMMDI or our subreddit at TheDungeonMadeMeDoIt.

Speaker: Welcome to the Dungeon Made Me Do It podcast.

Speaker: I am Josh, I am your DM, and as always, I am here with some wonderful, wonderful players who are trekking through the world of Ravenloft.

Speaker: Let's go ahead and start with some introductions.

Speaker: First off, we've got Jorge.

Speaker: Hey guys, I am Jorge.

Speaker: I play Karthik's cane, your average human.

Speaker: He has no special abilities, no magic or anything.

Speaker: However, he has been in kind of an attitude.

Speaker: Next up, we've got Trevor.

Speaker: So I play Trevor.

Speaker: I also play... You don't play Trevor.

Speaker: I am... Jesus.

Speaker: I am Star.

Speaker: You are not Scar.

Speaker: Scar playing Trevor.

Speaker: I'm Trevor.

Speaker: I play Scar.

Speaker: And I also play an average human.

Speaker: Not really.

Speaker: I just act like I'm human.

Speaker: Not very well.

Speaker: But I feel like fooled you guys.

Speaker: None of you guys know yet.

Speaker: And yeah, I'm just an average guy.

Speaker: Doing totally, totally average things.

Speaker: Nothing strange about your person at all.

Speaker: Not at all.

Speaker: Scar plays with his shiny things, and that's what I do.

Speaker: Sure thing, big guy.

Speaker: Let's go on down the line.

Speaker: Next up, we've got Jen.

Speaker: Hi, I'm Jennifer, and I play Victoria.

Speaker: And I would say the only weird thing about her is that

Speaker: She keeps following Scar around.

Speaker: Why?

Speaker: Why would she do that?

Speaker: That's weird.

Speaker: That's a good question.

Speaker: Let's keep it going.

Speaker: Next we're back.

Speaker: I think that's what it's gotta be.

Speaker: Spicy.

Speaker: Next we've got Bill.

Speaker: Hey, I'm Bill.

Speaker: I'm playing the role of Therabin Deathseeker.

Speaker: I am a necromancer with a drinking problem.

Speaker: Who hears voices.

Speaker: Yep, totally unrelated.

Speaker: Yeah, yeah.

Speaker: And then finally, we've got Kyle.

Speaker: Hi, I'm Kyle.

Speaker: I play Sashara Storm, a reborn with a real bad attitude problem.

Speaker: He's just kind of looking for vampires to kill.

Speaker: You guys are still kind of heading on the road.

Speaker: Is there anything...

Speaker: you guys want to do at this point like i said it's getting close to noonish you guys haven't run into any trouble i think you guys are all fully at full health and everything i am not okay quick question for you absolutely you mentioned that we all turned around um did we all see therabin's grandfather hanging or was that just therabin who saw this grandfather yeah i mean you guys didn't know who it was you saw it was a person that wasn't there before but we all saw the same thing

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: And then I don't think, at least in the episode, Therabenton didn't kind of let you guys know.

Speaker: He just kind of was sort of mesmerized by it.

Speaker: He went to touch it.

Speaker: And then you guys all did see the body.

Speaker: I'm pretty sure he poked it with a stick.

Speaker: Yeah, the body disappeared.

Speaker: So to you, it was just some person.

Speaker: And it was a lot more meaningful to him.

Speaker: Did we want to do anything before we started heading off on the road?

Speaker: I don't have anything to do, so...

Speaker: Yeah, if we don't know anything about it and Therabon doesn't feel like telling us anything, then I guess we'll just keep on walking.

Speaker: Yeah, I'm not much of a snoop, so I'm not really going to ask him any questions.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: So you guys are going to keep heading down towards the southwest part, and you can see on the map.

Speaker: This is where you're at.

Speaker: As you guys keep going in this direction, again, there's this overcast that's been around, I mean, pretty much all day.

Speaker: It's going to get a little bit darker as it begins to start to lightly rain as you guys are heading down there.

Speaker: Nothing too intense, but it is a little bit annoying as you guys are going to start to get a little cold and wet as you go through here.

Speaker: If my socks are wet, I'm done.

Speaker: I don't know what kind of boots you got on.

Speaker: I don't know.

Speaker: Do you have any heavy-duty boots?

Speaker: They're just some, you know, knee-high boots.

Speaker: I don't know.

Speaker: You'll probably be pretty safe then.

Speaker: I think you'll be all right.

Speaker: They seem pretty dependable.

Speaker: So, so they're not like all too super worn out.

Speaker: I mean, you came from a pretty affluent family before.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: That's true.

Speaker: Another hour or so walking down this road, there is an odd thing.

Speaker: It's going to kind of get pointed out that you guys are going to notice.

Speaker: You're going to see every so often you're going to see a couple of corpses of like large black birds on the ground.

Speaker: Like you might see one at a time and then maybe like

Speaker: two at a time.

Speaker: And as you keep moving down this way, the number is going to kind of grow to maybe like three or four at a time.

Speaker: Go ahead.

Speaker: If you have a survival, go ahead and give me a survival check.

Speaker: Oh, 20.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: I mean, anybody who wants to take a look at these birds.

Speaker: Anybody who gets above a 12 will recognize all these birds as ravens.

Speaker: That's the specific type of birds they are as you're continuing going up this way.

Speaker: No marks or anything on them?

Speaker: You want to give me a medicine check?

Speaker: Sure will.

Speaker: 13.

Speaker: All of them seem to have slashes, like cut marks on them.

Speaker: And you notice it doesn't look like it's necessarily from an animal.

Speaker: It doesn't look like it's bite marks, but it just looks like cuts, almost like little knives that have been slashed across them.

Speaker: It could be claw marks, possibly, but you don't see any bites from an animal from these things.

Speaker: Of course, Irina seeing this, she's going to kind of remark,

Speaker: This seems a little bit ominous.

Speaker: Just gonna kinda look at you guys like, are you kinda freaked out too?

Speaker: Scar, what the hell did you do now?

Speaker: I didn't do this.

Speaker: And he puts one in this little bag.

Speaker: Ah!

Speaker: Jeez, of course, yeah.

Speaker: I didn't do it, but I'm gonna take it.

Speaker: That'll come in handy later.

Speaker: Is it in a certain pathway?

Speaker: Like, it's all just along the path, along the side of the road, right?

Speaker: Yeah, it's kind of, it's on the road as you go through there.

Speaker: So, Scar wants to look and see if there's any tracks or anything like that.

Speaker: Yeah, give me another survival.

Speaker: So, that's a 13.

Speaker: Uh, you know, you don't see any, at least any fresh tracks, um, that would have been here for a while.

Speaker: I mean, there could be very, very old ones, but nothing as of like within a few days.

Speaker: All right, nothing to point out.

Speaker: I'm just gonna kind of keep my head on a swivel and be like, let's keep going guys.

Speaker: Screw little birds.

Speaker: So as you guys continue to move along the path, you're going to see a head eventually in the path.

Speaker: You're going to see three

Speaker: crudely made scarecrows and they're standing in the circle in the middle of the road.

Speaker: There's, they have this dirty cloth that kind of covers their torsos, legs, and arms.

Speaker: And you can see scraggly bits of straw poking out in every which way from beneath their burlap skin.

Speaker: But rather than sticks or straw, the scarecrows have long rusted knives as fingers.

Speaker: And each scarecrow is chopped with a head made of a pumpkin, or some of them have turnips that are carved to have these like malevolent looking eyes and these like evil looking grins on them.

Speaker: Off the path, you see two more scarecrows.

Speaker: up on kind of the slope of a hill to your left.

Speaker: And there's another one kind of off to the right.

Speaker: These are, those three are off the path.

Speaker: And then all around, these scarecrows are just dozens and dozens of corpses of these ravens all around.

Speaker: I'm gonna go ahead and move you guys over to the next map so you can get a really good look at what these look like.

Speaker: So you guys will be up here.

Speaker: You can kind of move your order however you want, but this is kind of what you guys are seeing in this road.

Speaker: Man, they're taking their jobs, literally.

Speaker: Uh, yeah.

Speaker: They're doing a very good job of scaring these things to death.

Speaker: Okay, cool.

Speaker: I'm pretty sure that's not cool.

Speaker: It's weird.

Speaker: Yeah, Irina's also would be with you this.

Speaker: Like, this is, uh, she said ominous before.

Speaker: This is kind of, what's a step up above ominous?

Speaker: Because whatever that is, this is what's going on.

Speaker: Terrifying.

Speaker: She would nod.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: So Karthik, who's been walking next to Irina, he's going to go ahead and take an arrow out of his quiver and just kind of keep it notched while we walk through here.

Speaker: Sure, sure.

Speaker: So everybody's going to keep kind of continuing on moving forward.

Speaker: A little bit, you know, tiptoeing through.

Speaker: Can I investigate this scarecrow?

Speaker: Sure.

Speaker: Give me an investigation check.

Speaker: 16.

Speaker: I mean, for all purposes, it's whoever made this, made these things as creepy as possible.

Speaker: But as you get close to it, for a quick second, see almost a twitch of it.

Speaker: And it's just enough...

Speaker: that you won't suffer to be flat-footed as this thing quickly takes a swipe at you as it kind of turns in your direction.

Speaker: So I'm going to make an attack here, but you will be able to have your whole AC bonus, and then we'll jump right into the good stuff.

Speaker: So Claw Attack...

Speaker: A 13.

Speaker: 14 is the answer.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So it just, just misses your face as this thing kind of spins towards you and swipes with its claw.

Speaker: I'm going to go ahead.

Speaker: I'm going to switch some of these things out and then we're going to get started.

Speaker: All right, here we go.

Speaker: 15 on initiative.

Speaker: 13 on initiative.

Speaker: 20.

Speaker: 17.

Speaker: And then I got to get these guys on initiative too.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Let's add them.

Speaker: add that.

Speaker: And let's add Irina too.

Speaker: Irina may not be a great fighter, but she does have a weapon on her, which hopefully should come in handy.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Some initiative rolls from these guys.

Speaker: Oh, you'll have to add gins on there.

Speaker: It didn't show up on there, but she rolled a 20.

Speaker: Ooh, nice.

Speaker: Oh, I got to get Irina at hers.

Speaker: I got to get her character.

Speaker: Should have had that before.

Speaker: I think everybody should be on there, hopefully.

Speaker: Oh, except for Victoria.

Speaker: You got a 20?

Speaker: Yes.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Let's see what the order is going to be.

Speaker: Starting the first one is going to be one of the Scarecrows.

Speaker: It got a 21.

Speaker: Let me make sure I got them all on here.

Speaker: We got one, two, three, four, five, six.

Speaker: So you got six Scarecrows, two, three, four.

Speaker: Five, six.

Speaker: Perfect.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: This scarecrow is going to start moving.

Speaker: They're all actually going to start moving after the other one takes its first swing.

Speaker: And they look remarkably fast.

Speaker: So they're going to start going towards you here.

Speaker: Let's have it go towards the first person, of course.

Speaker: The person we love to attack, Therabon.

Speaker: But it's going to be able to get up to you, but that's going to be it.

Speaker: Next, it's going to be Victoria.

Speaker: I think...

Speaker: Where the heck am I?

Speaker: You're back here with, here, I'll get you in here.

Speaker: Oh, I see him now.

Speaker: I see myself.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Well, I suppose I'm going to move up a little bit.

Speaker: And I'm going to go ahead and shoot a fire bolt at this scarecrow.

Speaker: Ooh.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: A five?

Speaker: Oh.

Speaker: Nat 1.

Speaker: Nat 1.

Speaker: Now, I do, yes, I do remember that we said one of our house rules was going to be for ranged attacks.

Speaker: For Nat 1s, there's a chance that you're going to be hitting an ally next to him.

Speaker: So go ahead, make a second attack.

Speaker: This will be towards Therabon.

Speaker: Oh, man.

Speaker: So this one you want to go low towards.

Speaker: You want to go low to this one.

Speaker: Oops.

Speaker: This one I want to do.

Speaker: Oh!

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Oh!

Speaker: What the heck?

Speaker: There's that almost crit.

Speaker: Um, so... Well, let's see what damage.

Speaker: Oh, Therabon.

Speaker: Therabon's the punching bag.

Speaker: He unfortunately is.

Speaker: Of course, the squishiest character is the punching bag.

Speaker: Right?

Speaker: He's like a magnet.

Speaker: So, like, I guess he's just your tank now.

Speaker: Like, that's just it.

Speaker: A tank without tanking abilities.

Speaker: Let's go see how much damage we did.

Speaker: Four damage to the damage.

Speaker: That's not too bad.

Speaker: That's not too bad.

Speaker: So you're going to go, yeah, shoot this firebolt at the scarecrow.

Speaker: Apparently going to go a little bit wide.

Speaker: Maybe you thought the scarecrow was going to run past Therabon.

Speaker: You're going to kind of judge the distance, but you slam that right into the Therabon's back.

Speaker: Well, speaking of which, Therabon, you're up.

Speaker: Would you like to take a little revenge?

Speaker: No.

Speaker: I'm going to take a drink from my flask and you might not want to have any flammable liquids on you right now.

Speaker: I'm fine.

Speaker: I'm going to go ahead and yeah, I'm going to go ahead and cast firebolt on the scarecrow to my right.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So the guy, so wait, the one that just moved towards you.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: That one.

Speaker: Gotcha.

Speaker: Yep.

Speaker: That one.

Speaker: Alright.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Go ahead.

Speaker: You'll do like a ranged attack on it.

Speaker: If you want to just roll a d20, we can kind of add in all the bonuses afterwards.

Speaker: A 17 plus 4.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: I figured you'd roll a d20, you're probably going to know if it hit or not.

Speaker: That's definitely going to hit.

Speaker: Alright.

Speaker: And then it would be a d6, I believe.

Speaker: A firebolt?

Speaker: D10.

Speaker: I believe so.

Speaker: It says D6.

Speaker: Really?

Speaker: Yep.

Speaker: That's weird.

Speaker: Yeah, Jens says D10.

Speaker: Jens is 1D10.

Speaker: Normally it's a 1D10.

Speaker: Yeah, mine's 1D10.

Speaker: Oh, mine might be.

Speaker: You're just trying to really hamstring yourself.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Not looking forward to getting hit again.

Speaker: He's like, I'm the best mage in the world.

Speaker: All my stuff is weak.

Speaker: That would be one.

Speaker: Ooh, yeah.

Speaker: Well, I guess we called it.

Speaker: Yeah, so this is going to hit.

Speaker: You are going to see this thing is going to react very violently to that fire.

Speaker: It is not going to like getting hit with that.

Speaker: You think that you're a wizard, but really, you're just a guy with a butane lighter.

Speaker: No, that's what it is.

Speaker: Because he took the drink of alcohol, and then, yeah.

Speaker: I'm in a wizard.

Speaker: He's an alcoholic, he thinks he's a wizard, but he's not.

Speaker: He's trying to do my spells!

Speaker: I mean, it was better than me, and I thought, you know, Scarecrow, fire, I mean, perfect.

Speaker: Yep.

Speaker: Not so much.

Speaker: Burn, bitch!

Speaker: It's like the barbarian who runs around with his skillet thinking he's a spellcaster, but all he knows is cast iron.

Speaker: Cast iron, yep.

Speaker: Well, Therabon, do you want to do anything else on your turn?

Speaker: Um... I am going to move back slightly and...

Speaker: Now, that will get you an attack of opportunity if you want to do it.

Speaker: I mean, it's up to you.

Speaker: We're not doing that.

Speaker: No, we're going to stay right here.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: He doesn't want to roll the dice.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: So, what I want to do is I just want to kind of walk around this guy, not leaving his area of attack.

Speaker: Sure.

Speaker: I'm just kind of circling around to where I'm flanking with Scar.

Speaker: Oh, yeah.

Speaker: And I'm going to swing out with my...

Speaker: Um, actually real quick.

Speaker: Nope.

Speaker: Nevermind.

Speaker: Uh, so yeah, I'm just going to swing with my rapier with advantage.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: 19.

Speaker: That's a hit.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Um, and since I do have advantage that will apply sneak attack.

Speaker: Uh, so that is going to be, so that's nine and using my psychic glaze as well for an extra 2d6.

Speaker: That is another eight.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Uh, and so, yeah.

Speaker: That's what, 15?

Speaker: 15 damage.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: And then we'll do... Nine and eight is 17.

Speaker: 17, yeah.

Speaker: Thanks.

Speaker: My math is broken.

Speaker: he was trying to cheat.

Speaker: Yeah, I wish.

Speaker: And then I am going to... So I'm going to kind of gesture over to Scar and say, finish this one off and give him a Bardic Inspiration die.

Speaker: So that is a 1d6 on your next attack ability check or saving throw.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Who we got next?

Speaker: Karthix is going to be next.

Speaker: So Karthix is gonna go ahead and shoot at this scarecrow that was attacking Therabin.

Speaker: So that'd be a 15 plus two, 17.

Speaker: Okay, 17.

Speaker: That is a hit.

Speaker: 11.

Speaker: All right, so you said you're hitting the guy that's next to Therabin?

Speaker: Correct.

Speaker: Okay, so 11 damage.

Speaker: I'll take that off.

Speaker: I think it's only five, because the six would be added in for the critical.

Speaker: Yeah, that's six with the critical damage.

Speaker: So it's only five damage.

Speaker: All right, let's start that over, you cheaters.

Speaker: That was my fault.

Speaker: I opened my big mouth.

Speaker: No, that's okay.

Speaker: All right, anything else?

Speaker: Nope, that's all I got.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Scar, bring home the pain.

Speaker: Scar's going to look over at Victoria and be like, I see what you did.

Speaker: You charged Serapin, and he passed it along.

Speaker: And then he's going to be like, cool trick.

Speaker: And then I'm going to rage out, and my claws are going to grow.

Speaker: There's Scar.

Speaker: Always look at the bright side of things.

Speaker: Charged or charred?

Speaker: with advantage those are both gonna hit sweet oh wait some damage i forgot to add so the other ones are actually uh it'd be six and seven so 13 13 total i rolled a 19 and 14 hit too so i'm pretty sure the ac is 14 guys okay clearly none of us are doing great math tonight so we're all right

Speaker: So yeah, you're kind of slashing these scarecrows up.

Speaker: And again, there's no innards to them.

Speaker: There are straws kind of flying out.

Speaker: But as you do start to kind of slash some of these up, you are going to see what looks like the head of one of the corpses of these ravens is going to poke out from the stomach of the scarecrow.

Speaker: Almost like there's some inside of it.

Speaker: What?

Speaker: Speaking of the Scarecrows, they're going to begin to move towards you.

Speaker: These ones over here.

Speaker: It is going to come up to Sashara.

Speaker: And let me see what we got here.

Speaker: Fuck off.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: We're going to do two claws attacks.

Speaker: And here goes the first one.

Speaker: A 10 and a 5.

Speaker: Bam, bitch.

Speaker: Don't touch me.

Speaker: Irina is going to be next.

Speaker: So she does have a, I believe she's got a rapier on her.

Speaker: So she's going to come out.

Speaker: Unless anybody wants to stop her from jumping into here, she's going to move towards the scarecrow down here.

Speaker: Oh, no, she can help.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: She'll come over here and she will make an attack.

Speaker: And we'll see what it does.

Speaker: Ooh, okay.

Speaker: She's not bad.

Speaker: She kind of pierces this thing.

Speaker: Yeah, it just kind of goes right into it.

Speaker: It doesn't look like it does a whole lot to it, but she does kind of pierce it a little bit.

Speaker: Next scarecrow.

Speaker: Let's see.

Speaker: This guy's going to move.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: It's going to come up here.

Speaker: And as it gets up to here, it is going to, like...

Speaker: look at Sashara.

Speaker: And Sashara, you're going to catch this thing looking at you, and you're going to see almost like the inside, like this little pumpkin head is going to start to glow with this fire.

Speaker: And I need you to make a wisdom saving throw.

Speaker: I don't want to.

Speaker: Fucking cool.

Speaker: Perfect.

Speaker: Inside this fire of this Scarecrow sort of jack-o'-lantern head, you see something that

Speaker: That sort of like pulls from your past, maybe being in the middle of a big battle and you are just being overwhelmed and you start to feel that again coming over you.

Speaker: And so at this moment, you are completely paralyzed until its next turn.

Speaker: Oh.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: So that's going to be tough.

Speaker: Moving on.

Speaker: It can't be good.

Speaker: Someone slap me.

Speaker: This Scarecrow is going to move up to here to Scar.

Speaker: Kind of come around him.

Speaker: And it is going to actually let me double check something.

Speaker: Yeah, it's definitely going to be able to do that.

Speaker: And then it is going to make its attack.

Speaker: It's going to do two attacks on Scar.

Speaker: 21.

Speaker: Does that hit?

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: So you are going to take seven damage.

Speaker: And you... Are we rounding up or down?

Speaker: Oh, well, I round down.

Speaker: So if you want to go and round down.

Speaker: So you'll take, what, three damage?

Speaker: Three, yeah.

Speaker: But now you also need to make a wisdom saving throw.

Speaker: I do.

Speaker: What?

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Wisdom savings.

Speaker: Plus zero.

Speaker: What do we got?

Speaker: These fucking Nat Ones are going to piss me off.

Speaker: Maybe what you see as this thing is attacking you, its eyes kind of light up.

Speaker: You see your father in this somewhere.

Speaker: You kind of reimagine being a little boy and your father just beating the crap.

Speaker: Come on, toughen up, Scar.

Speaker: Toughen up, Scar.

Speaker: And that's just kind of what you're relieving in that moment of just him overwhelming you.

Speaker: Okay, moving on.

Speaker: We got another scarecrow moving towards you guys.

Speaker: They all kind of go at the end of this round.

Speaker: Moving up here to this side.

Speaker: Let's say this one's going to go look at Irina.

Speaker: So she's going to also make a will saving throw.

Speaker: If I can click on the right stuff here.

Speaker: And...

Speaker: So she's going to get a 10.

Speaker: She also, you also see her kind of freeze in place as this thing is kind of staring her down, kind of almost grinning maniacally within this fire within its eyes.

Speaker: And finally, this other scarecrow is going to move towards Victoria.

Speaker: And Victoria, I need you to make a will saving throw.

Speaker: Oh, man.

Speaker: So what's going on is everybody is kind of seeing these things.

Speaker: It's almost like an overwhelming thing.

Speaker: So maybe, Victoria, you kind of feel kind of how your parents have been so disappointed in you with what happened in your past and how you let them down.

Speaker: And that fear is kind of washing over you.

Speaker: So that, unfortunately, is going to have to skip Victoria's turn as she's kind of paralyzed in fear.

Speaker: Therabin, it's up to you now.

Speaker: Karthix is going to look back and be like, we need to pull back.

Speaker: Pull back, dude.

Speaker: So I'm just frightened, though.

Speaker: I'm not paralyzed, right?

Speaker: No, it says, I'll read it out to you guys just to make sure.

Speaker: It says, if a target can see if it succeeded a saving throw or be magically frightened to the end of the turn, the frightened target is paralyzed.

Speaker: It just says you're paralyzed.

Speaker: So I know it says it frightens you, but it's not, it just says you're paralyzed.

Speaker: Oh, I'm sorry.

Speaker: I'm sorry.

Speaker: You weren't done by the glare.

Speaker: It was the claw that attacked you.

Speaker: Yes.

Speaker: Yes, I'm sorry.

Speaker: I didn't read the right one.

Speaker: Yes, you are just frightened, but you're not paralyzed.

Speaker: So I got to move away from this dude.

Speaker: On your turn, you'll have to run away.

Speaker: Therabon, what's your big plan?

Speaker: How are you going to save everybody?

Speaker: Oh, I think I'm going to cast Phantasmal Killer on the scarecrow nearest to me.

Speaker: Interesting.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: If it works this time.

Speaker: So what does Phantasmal Killer do?

Speaker: That's a good question.

Speaker: Hold on.

Speaker: It just sounds like a really metal spell.

Speaker: You're like, okay.

Speaker: It says kill her.

Speaker: It says kill her.

Speaker: So I'm going to kill this thing.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Obviously.

Speaker: None of my stuff is working right now.

Speaker: Hold on.

Speaker: There it goes.

Speaker: So if I believe it, yeah, tap into the nightmares of a creature.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: I'll double check.

Speaker: I don't think these things are.

Speaker: Let's see.

Speaker: Sure.

Speaker: Hmm.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: I got you.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: So it needs to make a wisdom saving throw.

Speaker: Yes.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: I'm going to do a wisdom saving throw.

Speaker: Even though it's going to get this one, unfortunately, I'm going to pull this.

Speaker: The phantasmal killer effect doesn't seem to be affecting this thing at all.

Speaker: You feel like the spell hit its target.

Speaker: Like it worked.

Speaker: And it almost does nothing to this thing.

Speaker: Which isn't too crazy.

Speaker: As like it does, it taps into their fears.

Speaker: But if this thing is a mindless construct that's attacking you, it might not have any fears.

Speaker: You know what I mean?

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: And that means that all that translates to is that this thing has an immunity to being frightened or psychic damage.

Speaker: So moving on.

Speaker: Shara, you are...

Speaker: Stuck.

Speaker: In deep trouble.

Speaker: Uh, and Karthix.

Speaker: So are they paralyzed or are they in fear?

Speaker: The way that you're seeing them right now, you see Sashar is just like standing there, just like wide-eyed looking at this thing.

Speaker: So is Irina.

Speaker: So is Victoria.

Speaker: Scar looks like he's about to bolt.

Speaker: You can tell that he's just about to turn and run from this thing.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: But Scar's still up.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: He doesn't seem to be frozen in place.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So I'm gonna try something, because Therabin is not frozen in Furya either.

Speaker: So hopefully I can get him out of there without an attack of opportunity.

Speaker: I'm going to use my trip attack.

Speaker: When you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you get to expend a superior dice to attempt to knock the target down.

Speaker: And you get to add a superior dice to your attack roll.

Speaker: And if the target is large or small, it must make a strength saving throw.

Speaker: If it fails, it is not to play.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So I'm going to go.

Speaker: I don't know what a superiority dice is, though.

Speaker: So you have, because of your fighter archetype, you have four superiority dice.

Speaker: So it's kind of like a special pool of abilities that you can do.

Speaker: And I think yours is a d10 is what you roll.

Speaker: So I roll my regular attack plus a d10.

Speaker: That's what it sounds like, yeah.

Speaker: So that'll be, oh man, nine plus two, an 11.

Speaker: For that scarecrow that's next to him?

Speaker: Mm-hmm.

Speaker: That's a hit.

Speaker: And then a 1d10 on top of it.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So that's a 10.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So this thing takes what you said, 10 damage?

Speaker: And then six.

Speaker: So it'll take 16 damage.

Speaker: Not bad.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: And then it has to make a strength saving throw.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Strength coming up.

Speaker: It got a seven.

Speaker: So what did it have to get over?

Speaker: I don't know.

Speaker: It doesn't say.

Speaker: I don't know if I roll a post or.

Speaker: Let me look up the fighter's abilities here.

Speaker: What'd you say the ability was?

Speaker: trip attack your dc is eight plus your proficiency bonus plus your strength or dex modifier your choice okay so what are just a strength check so no no no so what's your what's higher strength or dex strength okay so you have a plus four to that and then plus two so it had to get over a 14 so it did not make it so it is not pro

Speaker: Yep, it is knocked prone.

Speaker: So you're going to just blast this thing down with this big shot, and it's going to almost pin it to the ground as you kind of launch it backwards.

Speaker: Okay, and then I'm going to pull back, try to get outside of their range to run towards me, and then that'll hopefully help Therabin be able to pull back without getting attacked.

Speaker: Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker: All right, Scar, I'm going to say this thing's prone.

Speaker: It's not going to be able to take an attack on you if you want to start your running.

Speaker: Not that right.

Speaker: No, he did this one.

Speaker: Oh, I thought you hit the one that's next to you.

Speaker: Oh, okay.

Speaker: I'm going to put a little thing.

Speaker: I'm going to put this thing on it just to be like, oh, it's on the ground.

Speaker: Let's do Scar.

Speaker: I guess you will take an attack then.

Speaker: Let him take.

Speaker: He's going to take his attack.

Speaker: Here goes.

Speaker: One claw.

Speaker: 19.

Speaker: It hits because I'm not using my shield right now.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Seven damage.

Speaker: So another three damage.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Wisdom saving throw?

Speaker: Yes, sir.

Speaker: I mean, I'm already frightened of it.

Speaker: I mean, it's true.

Speaker: It just says until the end of its next turn.

Speaker: So, I mean, I guess it wouldn't really work.

Speaker: But you got it over anyways.

Speaker: You're good anyways.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: And then I'm going to attack this guy.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: I'll come back to you later, Dad.

Speaker: Now, I do have to... Okay, so with the frightened, I thought you had to take your whole turn to do a dash.

Speaker: I could be wrong.

Speaker: I might be wrong.

Speaker: No, with 5e rules, you don't have to dash away.

Speaker: You can make an attack and then move away.

Speaker: You just can't get closer to this guy.

Speaker: Gotcha.

Speaker: Okay, you're good.

Speaker: They normally will say that I have to use my whole turn or my whole movement.

Speaker: Take this guy down.

Speaker: Ooh, we got a crit in there.

Speaker: Got a nat 20, and then I'm going to use my bardic inspiration to add 6 to the other one.

Speaker: Yep.

Speaker: So I got a 14th.

Speaker: They're all hits.

Speaker: Alright.

Speaker: Rain some blows on this thing.

Speaker: So that's a 14.

Speaker: No, that's an 11.

Speaker: Sorry.

Speaker: 11 for the first one.

Speaker: And 9.

Speaker: Now, are we doing it where it's a... How are you doing the crit?

Speaker: We do max damage plus the roll.

Speaker: Okay, so my max damage on the claw would be 9 damage.

Speaker: So it would be 9 plus 7, right?

Speaker: Yes.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So what we got 16, 17, 18, because you were rage for the first one and then nine for the other.

Speaker: So what?

Speaker: 27 damage.

Speaker: Yes.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: 27 damage.

Speaker: I'm trying to think of how this is going to go.

Speaker: Cause it's not going to take the full damage, unfortunately.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: There we go.

Speaker: I don't know if you guys can see the health, but you did tear this thing up.

Speaker: You were ripped into it.

Speaker: Uh, Irene is going to be next, but she's going to be kind of in fear.

Speaker: She's not going to be able to react.

Speaker: And it is now the scarecrow's turn.

Speaker: So it is going to move around here.

Speaker: Yeah, it's just going to stay there.

Speaker: I don't think this thing is smart enough to try to try to get around and flank you, but it is going to take two attacks towards Scar.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: First claw is a crit.

Speaker: So this is going to deal.

Speaker: Hang on.

Speaker: Hang on.

Speaker: Was this the same one that paralyzed me?

Speaker: Yes.

Speaker: This one did look at you and paralyzed you.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: So it said I was paralyzed until the start of its next turn, right?

Speaker: So I'm no longer paralyzed.

Speaker: Yeah, it says until the end of its next turn.

Speaker: Shit!

Speaker: Yeah, it does say to the end of its next turn.

Speaker: Sorry about that.

Speaker: Alright, so first crit is going to hit dealing 812 damage on that first attack.

Speaker: Alright, so 6.

Speaker: Second claw is going to miss, fortunately.

Speaker: Scarecrow up here that just got attacked by Scar, then he ran away.

Speaker: Oh, who's this going to go after?

Speaker: Let's have this one go after Sashara.

Speaker: And it's going to take two swings.

Speaker: Another crit.

Speaker: Goddamn.

Speaker: Oh my god.

Speaker: I am no longer paralyzed, so I'm silvery barbs in that shit.

Speaker: Okay, go for it.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: So it's going to make another attack with, or it's going to have disadvantage, right?

Speaker: It has disadvantage.

Speaker: Okay, I'm going to make another attack roll.

Speaker: We'll just do whatever the first one is.

Speaker: A 19.

Speaker: It's still a hit, but it's not a crit.

Speaker: It's not a crit.

Speaker: So you're going to take six damage, and then you're going to have to make a wisdom saving throw.

Speaker: Eight.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Again, this thing, you're feeling at this point like this shit's getting bad.

Speaker: And another claw is going to hit you for another six.

Speaker: So you are going to take a total 12 damage from this thing.

Speaker: This thing is straight up bitch.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Next Scarecrow.

Speaker: This one's going to go after, who do I want to go after this one?

Speaker: It's either going to be Irina or Sashara.

Speaker: Let's have it go after Irina.

Speaker: It's going to come up, make two claw attacks.

Speaker: So that's going to be a miss for that first one.

Speaker: And the second one is also going to be a miss.

Speaker: She got lucky.

Speaker: Okay, this other scarecrow going for Victoria.

Speaker: Two claw attacks.

Speaker: 20 and then a 9.

Speaker: So you're going to take 9 damage.

Speaker: I can go ahead and take that off your character.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: All right, last scarecrow.

Speaker: I mean, they all go in a freaking row.

Speaker: It's going to attack Irina again.

Speaker: All right, swing with a claw for a 15.

Speaker: I got to see what her armor is.

Speaker: Okay, so she is going to use in a reaction called parry.

Speaker: So she's basically going to use her sword to kind of knock away this thing, which is going to give it enough that it misses.

Speaker: And then it's going to make a second claw.

Speaker: That 13 is going to miss.

Speaker: So if she didn't parry that thing, it would have got her.

Speaker: All right, guys, we need some good ideas here.

Speaker: Victoria, you are up.

Speaker: No longer paralyzed.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Yeah, I think I'm just gonna have to stick with my fire.

Speaker: The one that's right in front of me.

Speaker: Okay, blast this thing right in the face.

Speaker: Oh, there we go.

Speaker: There we go.

Speaker: Do some damage to this thing.

Speaker: So you're gonna click right there it is.

Speaker: All right, fire.

Speaker: Uh, this thing is, oh yeah, so you're going to get max damage on that too.

Speaker: So it's going to be 18 on there.

Speaker: You are going to just light this bastard up.

Speaker: I mean, you are going to hit this thing with a fireball and it is going to go up like it's made of kerosene.

Speaker: And it is just going to just go into flames and eventually just fall in a heaping pile, no longer moving.

Speaker: It is going to take it out with one shot.

Speaker: Therabon.

Speaker: Well, there's one down.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Well, after seeing that, I'm going to attack the one nearest to me with Firebolt.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: That is a 14.

Speaker: That is a hit.

Speaker: Two damage.

Speaker: You're probably not going to get as good a hit.

Speaker: I mean, she nailed this thing squarely right in the chest and it lit up.

Speaker: This one did catch quite a bit on fire, but not nearly the effect that she had.

Speaker: And it is on the ground.

Speaker: It's still on the ground, correct?

Speaker: Yes.

Speaker: Well, I'm going to go back here a little bit.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: I am getting pissed off.

Speaker: So, um, I think that we are going to, I'm going to take the opportunity from this one to move over here.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So one swing from this little guy, 13.

Speaker: That's a miss.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Okay, right PR attack with advantage.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: That's a 24 to hit.

Speaker: That's most definitely a hit.

Speaker: We are going to... That's going to be sneak attack with psychic blades.

Speaker: So that is going to be 12 plus an additional 11.

Speaker: So that is a total of 23 damage.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Well, it's not enough to take it completely down, but you're going to be doing a lot of damage to this thing.

Speaker: Okay, so I am going to give... I am going to give Scar another... No, you still have your Bardic die, never mind.

Speaker: No, he used it.

Speaker: Yes, I'm giving Scar another Bardic die.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Karthix, you are next.

Speaker: So Karthix is going to go ahead and do the same thing with the trip attack on the Scarecrow that is directly in front of Irina.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So we have one.

Speaker: The one next to her is on the ground.

Speaker: And so Hope is the one in front of her will go on the ground as well.

Speaker: That's a hit.

Speaker: So it's a 12 plus 2.

Speaker: And so that's a 1d10.

Speaker: Oh, those 10s are hot tonight.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: So it'll take 19 damage and then have to save.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: So here comes the save, strength save.

Speaker: I got a natural one.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: So this one is definitely on the ground too.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: And then I'll move up here towards Therabin so we can come up with a plan.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Scar.

Speaker: Alright.

Speaker: You might be able to finish this one off.

Speaker: I'm going to swing and swing.

Speaker: The first is going to be a hit.

Speaker: I will use my bardic inspiration on that one.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: As long as you don't roll a one.

Speaker: Fuck, Josh.

Speaker: You had to curse.

Speaker: Oh, what the hell?

Speaker: My bad.

Speaker: So that's 11 damage on this guy.

Speaker: 11 damage, okay.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Anything else, sir?

Speaker: It's not looking good.

Speaker: It's falling apart here.

Speaker: No, that's all I got.

Speaker: Okay, back to the Scarecrow.

Speaker: So the one that's getting beat up on here, let's go ahead and have it swing at Scar.

Speaker: Two claws.

Speaker: Seven and 12.

Speaker: Both miss.

Speaker: I just kind of bat them away.

Speaker: There you go.

Speaker: I can feel the tide is turning.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: So, Irina's seeing the chance that she's got to back up.

Speaker: She's going to back up a little bit.

Speaker: And she saw kind of...

Speaker: what Victoria did, like with that fire.

Speaker: And she's going to bring out like a torch and she's just going to light it.

Speaker: And she's going to say, you know, she's going to say, I think this is going to be a lot more helpful than what we've, you know, than our weapon.

Speaker: So she's just going to get a torch out.

Speaker: And that's pretty much all that she's going to be able to do that round.

Speaker: The scarecrow down here, let's have that one go after Sashara.

Speaker: So it is going to take two swings with its claw, a 16 and a crit.

Speaker: Does the 16 hit?

Speaker: The 16 hits, the crit is going to be silvery barbed.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Oh, yeah, I got to roll again.

Speaker: That's me.

Speaker: 21.

Speaker: Well, it's not a crit, so.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: So you're going to take a total of 11 slashing damage, bringing you down to 12.

Speaker: Where's the healer at?

Speaker: Who's the healer for this group?

Speaker: We don't have one.

Speaker: This scarecrow is going to, hmm.

Speaker: It's going to go up after Karthiks.

Speaker: And it is going to take two claw attacks to Sir Karthik's with a crit miss and a 13.

Speaker: Both are going to miss.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: You know, we never said if we're going to do anything for crit misses, have we?

Speaker: For them, they should trip and fall.

Speaker: In fact.

Speaker: I will be willing, if we wanted to sort of turn on something bad with crit misses now for everybody, I'm fine.

Speaker: We can do that.

Speaker: Do you guys want to do that?

Speaker: For everybody.

Speaker: Yeah, so that means if you guys crit miss, because, well, we do the crit miss for, like, you know, during range attacks.

Speaker: We haven't done it for melee attacks.

Speaker: So here's what I'm going to propose.

Speaker: Crit misses.

Speaker: Well, I was going to say crit misses give an attack of opportunity for all, like, the others around it.

Speaker: So that means that Therabon and Karthix will get an attack of opportunity.

Speaker: If you have a melee weapon.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: I do not have a melee right now.

Speaker: Unless I can use my bow staff or my longbow as a bow staff.

Speaker: I probably not.

Speaker: I don't think that would probably work.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: I don't know.

Speaker: Therabon, do you have anything, any weapons equipped at this point?

Speaker: I have a quarter staff.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Well, take a swing at this thing.

Speaker: It leaves a big opening and you can kind of whack it then.

Speaker: When in doubt, hit it with a stick.

Speaker: Yes.

Speaker: Unfortunately, Stikis isn't going to quite cut it.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Not quite get there.

Speaker: Well, we tried.

Speaker: You did try.

Speaker: That's what matters.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Well, this scarecrow is going to be able to finally kind of get up from being kind of on the ground, uses half of its move, and it's going to move towards Victoria.

Speaker: And it has to happen to Rho to get up.

Speaker: No.

Speaker: So to get it up in 5e, you just have to use half of whatever your movement.

Speaker: So it has to use 15 feet to get up.

Speaker: Then it has another 15 feet.

Speaker: So it can move one, five feet, and then it's going to hit Victoria.

Speaker: First Claw is a 6, and the next is a 7.

Speaker: I'm guessing those both are going to miss.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Just nod.

Speaker: Just nod.

Speaker: Just nod my head.

Speaker: The next Scarecrow is going to get up.

Speaker: And honestly, the closest one is Sashara.

Speaker: I mean, if I hamstring myself, he's just going to go closer.

Speaker: He's going to get advantage on this.

Speaker: I mean, Sashara is in a very bad spot.

Speaker: So here goes two claw attacks, both with advantage.

Speaker: Claw number one, a 19.

Speaker: Dealing six damage to Sashara, dropping him down to six health.

Speaker: It's going to rear back.

Speaker: It's going to do his second claw attack with advantage.

Speaker: Getting a 19 on both dice, dropping Sashara to one health.

Speaker: Oh, shit.

Speaker: I'm fine.

Speaker: I can get out of here.

Speaker: That's not a problem.

Speaker: So Shara's like, I'm good, guys.

Speaker: I'm good.

Speaker: I got three.

Speaker: You guys take those, too.

Speaker: Victoria, what's your plan?

Speaker: I'm just going to keep bonking them with these fire bolts.

Speaker: OK.

Speaker: I mean, the last one worked wonderfully.

Speaker: 11.

Speaker: That's a hit.

Speaker: And four.

Speaker: Okay, so four damage to this thing.

Speaker: Oh, well, two damage, because you don't have sneak attack on it.

Speaker: But it is going to be some damage to this thing.

Speaker: It's going to take it.

Speaker: Therabon, you are next.

Speaker: Let's see.

Speaker: I'm going to go ahead and cast Firebolt on the Scarecrow in front of me.

Speaker: Do it.

Speaker: Take this thing down.

Speaker: And it's doing the thing again.

Speaker: Hold on one second.

Speaker: There we go. 17.

Speaker: That's a hit.

Speaker: That would be a nine.

Speaker: You are going to light this thing up.

Speaker: Finally, you've got a nice juicy hit and it is just going to go up like it's made of tender.

Speaker: Burn, bitch.

Speaker: Yes, that's two down.

Speaker: Sashara, you are next.

Speaker: What would you like to do?

Speaker: Okay, well, I can't just run, but I'm going to try to take one out and then run after that.

Speaker: So, okay, so we are going to go ahead and just try to take out this one between me and Scar.

Speaker: So that's going to be advantage.

Speaker: That's a 24 to hit.

Speaker: That's definitely a hit.

Speaker: That is going to be quite a bit of damage.

Speaker: It's enough.

Speaker: It takes it down.

Speaker: You're finally going to rip this thing into two and it's going to fall to pieces.

Speaker: Yes.

Speaker: Awesome.

Speaker: So now I'm going to cast kinetic jaunt on myself.

Speaker: So my movement speed increases by 10 feet.

Speaker: I do not provoke opportunity attacks and I can move through other creatures.

Speaker: Oh, yeah.

Speaker: He's got his way out there.

Speaker: His get-out-of-jail-free card.

Speaker: So we are going to come up here kind of behind everyone else.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: That way they have to go through them to get to me, and then we'll just start doing range shit from now on.

Speaker: There you go.

Speaker: Yeah, so that's my turn.

Speaker: All right, Karthiks.

Speaker: You got half these Scarecrow's taken out.

Speaker: Okay, so I would like to ask a question.

Speaker: So, Irina took out a torch and is lighting the torch.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Is there a way of taking, like, the cloth on the torch and wrapping it around an arrow and shooting fire arrows?

Speaker: Ooh.

Speaker: Um...

Speaker: I would say, so the torches are kind of dipped in like a type of oil.

Speaker: If you're close to her and you kind of just, you just kind of stick your arrow into that torch and pull it out, there'll probably be enough oil to coat it to kind of keep it on fire for a little bit.

Speaker: It's not going to last forever, but it'll be enough for a shot.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So can I go ahead and do that since I'm standing next?

Speaker: Sorry, I'll let you do it.

Speaker: Yeah, I mean, I could just let you do it as like a almost like a bonus act.

Speaker: I mean, she's right there.

Speaker: You could just like quickly dip it in and just take a shot.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So then I will do that and I will take a shot at this one in front of Victoria.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: And that'll be a 17.

Speaker: That's going to be a hit.

Speaker: For four.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: And then I will go ahead and use my action surge.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: And try it again.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: That's a 23.

Speaker: Another hit.

Speaker: For nine damage.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: It's doing quite a bit of damage.

Speaker: I mean, they're going to kind of stick into this fire.

Speaker: You're going to see little smolderings of it.

Speaker: Not going to quite take it out completely, but it definitely did a little bit of extra damage.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Scar, what would you like to do at this point?

Speaker: Scar is going to move down.

Speaker: Take my two swings.

Speaker: Um...

Speaker: I'm going to use, yeah, let's do that.

Speaker: You got one hit.

Speaker: The first claw is going to connect.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Takes 11 slashing damage.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Anything else, sir?

Speaker: That is all I can do for now.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Irina, she is going to move towards this thing.

Speaker: She's going to make her attack.

Speaker: I'm just going to use her rapier attack.

Speaker: For a crit miss.

Speaker: Wonderful.

Speaker: Apparently she doesn't, is not very good.

Speaker: She's never used a torch in battle before.

Speaker: So she just kind of swings wildly though.

Speaker: The weight is all off.

Speaker: It kind of leaves her open for a second as the scarecrow is going to see it's opening.

Speaker: Take a claw tack.

Speaker: Get a crit and take her down to one health.

Speaker: Oh, shit.

Speaker: Oh, we are so bad at this.

Speaker: Yeah, yeah.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: She suddenly goes, no, the torch isn't a good idea.

Speaker: Don't use the torch.

Speaker: Scarecrow is going to down here with Scar.

Speaker: It's going to keep trading blows with him.

Speaker: Take two swings with its claw.

Speaker: Get a 20 and a 22.

Speaker: both hit uh that is gonna be 15 damage which i'm guessing is halved all right so well seven damage that's nice you got that half um i'm gonna go ahead and have this scarecrow swing on irena i mean she's right there she's swinging at it it's gonna take some attacks on her

Speaker: A 12 and a 21.

Speaker: She goes to try to parry.

Speaker: The first one's going to miss.

Speaker: The second one, she tries to parry it.

Speaker: Not quite enough.

Speaker: And she is going to drop.

Speaker: It's going to kind of slash her across and she's going to hit the ground.

Speaker: Next Scarecrow is going to go.

Speaker: It is going to move towards... Let's have it run up here to Karthix.

Speaker: Um...

Speaker: It's got enough movement.

Speaker: It's going to take its two claw attacks at Karthik's.

Speaker: A nine and a six.

Speaker: Neither are going to hit.

Speaker: You're good.

Speaker: All right, Victoria.

Speaker: Irina tries to run up there to hit this thing, and she just gets decimated.

Speaker: What?

Speaker: Wait.

Speaker: 18.

Speaker: Get the fuck out of here.

Speaker: That Firebolt is going to hit.

Speaker: And eight.

Speaker: Oh, four.

Speaker: Four damage.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Not quite enough.

Speaker: It is very, it is smoldering.

Speaker: You see some flames on it, but it's still moving.

Speaker: Therabon.

Speaker: Well, time to burn another one.

Speaker: I'm going to cast Firebolt on the one attacking her next to Karthix.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Take this thing down.

Speaker: There we go.

Speaker: 20 with nine.

Speaker: That's a good hit.

Speaker: You are going to just slam this thing with that firebolt.

Speaker: Not going to completely take it out.

Speaker: Maybe you see chunks of it kind of falling off, but it is still barely standing.

Speaker: Again, these ravens are just going to pour out of it.

Speaker: Some of them are flaming and stuff.

Speaker: Almost like it's just empty and it's bowels onto the ground as these flaming birds just fall all over it.

Speaker: Sashara!

Speaker: Alright.

Speaker: Okay, so... I'm going to...

Speaker: I feel like I wanna try to kill this one over here, but I don't wanna set myself up for a bad situation.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Okay, so what we're going to do is we're going to just kinda stay right here and I'm gonna cast Dissonant Whispers on the one in front of Karthix.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: So I need a wisdom 14 saving throw.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: This isn't like a frightened effect, is it?

Speaker: No, it's just psychic damage.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: 17 on the saving throw.

Speaker: You know what?

Speaker: We're going to allow that.

Speaker: So, I will take half damage, so it will take three psychic still.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: And then we're going to just kind of move back over here a little bit further, just to be safe.

Speaker: Oh, I'd protect you.

Speaker: You know, the weak one of the group.

Speaker: Oh, and I'm giving a bardic die to Karthix.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Go get him, Karthix.

Speaker: Right.

Speaker: We'll get him, Tiger.

Speaker: All right, Karthix.

Speaker: You got a scarecrow in front of you, kind of falling apart.

Speaker: What are you going to do?

Speaker: In 5e, what does it require for me to switch weapons?

Speaker: I think it's just an action, I believe.

Speaker: A whole action?

Speaker: It really depends on DM call.

Speaker: It can be either a bonus action or an action.

Speaker: I always do a bonus action.

Speaker: Yeah, and I'm fine with it being like a bonus action.

Speaker: Let's do that.

Speaker: Unless I can find something that goes against it, I'm fine with that.

Speaker: Well, it's just really hard when they're right on me to use a bow if I can't hit them with a bow.

Speaker: Yeah, I mean, because you can shoot, but you're going to have disadvantage if you do it when they're in melee.

Speaker: Just stab him like Legolas did.

Speaker: See, I always wondered if I could do that, but they never let me.

Speaker: Okay, so I'm going to pull my sword, and since I have my bow in my hand still, it'll be one-handed, but I'll go ahead and attack in front of me.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: That is going to be a hit.

Speaker: So I'll get 16 for four slashing.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: You don't get your strength bonus to that?

Speaker: That is with my strength bonus.

Speaker: Oh, you can just roll the one.

Speaker: Oh, no.

Speaker: So hold on.

Speaker: It should be a five then because it still says plus three instead of plus four for the strength bonus.

Speaker: You got a little bit more then.

Speaker: Unfortunately not quite enough to take this thing out, but it helps.

Speaker: It helps.

Speaker: Every little bit helps.

Speaker: Moving on to Scar.

Speaker: I'm going to rip you from thatch to thatch, you little shit.

Speaker: I hit the one.

Speaker: The first one, yep.

Speaker: The first one definitely is going to hit.

Speaker: So he takes nine more damage.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Every little bit counts.

Speaker: And then I'm going to move over here to block them off from going anywhere else.

Speaker: It's just you and me, little man.

Speaker: You and me.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: And by the way, I did find the rule in case we want to roll later.

Speaker: The way I see it, it says you normally interact with objects while doing something else, such as when you draw a sword as part of an attack.

Speaker: So I would say that it's almost a free action.

Speaker: If you're going to attack with a sword, it's a free action to draw it.

Speaker: So.

Speaker: Oh, excellent.

Speaker: That's how I'll rule it.

Speaker: Okay, Irena, I'm going to make a secret roll for her.

Speaker: Oh, you're killing us.

Speaker: Alrighty then.

Speaker: Scarecrow's turn.

Speaker: Next to Scar, it's going to take its swings on him.

Speaker: Claw, 16.

Speaker: Second claw is a crit miss.

Speaker: So Scar gets to make an attack on him.

Speaker: If the first claw, I guess, missed.

Speaker: Yeah, the first claw missed.

Speaker: Nice.

Speaker: That's going to be a hit.

Speaker: There we go.

Speaker: Turning this battle around.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: That's another six damage to it.

Speaker: The scarecrow, after it drops Irena, it's going to move towards Victoria and begin making its own claw attacks with a five and a crit miss.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Go ahead.

Speaker: Get your head on it.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: Oh.

Speaker: Oh.

Speaker: Oh.

Speaker: You won't be able to use fire bolts, unfortunately.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Let's see.

Speaker: Oh, that sucks.

Speaker: Yeah, that would have been.

Speaker: 22.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: You still got a hit.

Speaker: You still might be able to take this thing.

Speaker: This thing is really beat up.

Speaker: So depending on the damage.

Speaker: Well, six.

Speaker: Well.

Speaker: Six is the number that you exactly needed to drop the Scarecrow down.

Speaker: So you will.

Speaker: It's going to take a slash at you.

Speaker: It's going to open itself up and you're going to find your place to just chop off its little turnip head and it's just going to crumple.

Speaker: That takes another one out.

Speaker: Up next, we've got the other Scarecrow right next to Karthix.

Speaker: It's going to take its two swings at him.

Speaker: First claw is a six.

Speaker: Second claw is a crit miss.

Speaker: Somebody was looking at this battle and the dice gods are like, we need to give them a little bit.

Speaker: They really did.

Speaker: This changed drastically.

Speaker: So for attack of opportunity, Karthiks will drop his bow and swing with both hands on his sword.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: That'll be a 13.

Speaker: That's a hit.

Speaker: for eight damage.

Speaker: And that is exactly what you needed to take this thing down as well.

Speaker: Yes, this one will crumble as well.

Speaker: Leaving one scarecrow left.

Speaker: And it is Victoria's turn.

Speaker: Well, she is going to move.

Speaker: She's going to go ahead and fire bolt.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: 19.

Speaker: That's definitely a hit.

Speaker: And eight.

Speaker: Ooh, that's a nice solid hit.

Speaker: Not going to completely destroy it, but you are going to set this thing ablaze.

Speaker: It is definitely going to feel that heat.

Speaker: Good.

Speaker: Theraben.

Speaker: I am going to move towards Irina and use one of my potions on her.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Kind of like force feed it to her.

Speaker: Yeah, good call.

Speaker: Go ahead.

Speaker: I'll let you roll the healing on there if you kind of like take your time.

Speaker: That would be medicine, correct?

Speaker: No, if you're going to feed her a potion, just roll the potion and it'll heal her that amount.

Speaker: Where is it?

Speaker: I believe it's what?

Speaker: Is it 2d8?

Speaker: I don't remember.

Speaker: It depends on what you gave us.

Speaker: What type of potion is it?

Speaker: Do you know?

Speaker: Whatever you gave us.

Speaker: You said it looks like something that could heal us, and he told us.

Speaker: Oh, I never told you what it was.

Speaker: No, you did not.

Speaker: All right, so you're taking a little bit of a risk here.

Speaker: Okay, I like it.

Speaker: I like it.

Speaker: Maybe I'll have to roll on a table.

Speaker: It was her brother.

Speaker: No, that is a potion of healing.

Speaker: And I believe it's off the top of my head.

Speaker: 2d8 then?

Speaker: 2d4 plus 2?

Speaker: Oh, that's what I meant.

Speaker: Yes, 2d4 plus 2.

Speaker: 2d4.

Speaker: Alright.

Speaker: That is a 4.

Speaker: Six.

Speaker: You're going to kind of carefully, you know, drip this, you know, maybe tilt her head back, carefully kind of drip this down her throat.

Speaker: She's going to kind of cough, cough it up a little bit, but she's, she is going to regain consciousness as, as you're kind of helping her out.

Speaker: And she's going to have, what, what happened?

Speaker: You died.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Uh, Sashara.

Speaker: I don't think that's what we should tell her.

Speaker: She was already questioning going with us.

Speaker: She's like, I don't know.

Speaker: You're fine.

Speaker: All right.

Speaker: So I'm just going to kind of run over to the side a little bit where I can get clear line of sight.

Speaker: Be able to shoot around Scar.

Speaker: Grab the short bow, pull it out.

Speaker: Grab an arrow, and as I pull it back, it starts to glow with this purple psychic energy, and then let it go.

Speaker: And so that is a... It's like a 24.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: Yep, that's a hit.

Speaker: And then that is going to be 7 piercing with 7 psychic as well.

Speaker: Mm-hmm.

Speaker: Well, good news, just like the dice gods have smiled on you, that's just enough to take it out too.

Speaker: So this thing is going to get hit with this arrow and the bolts, that blue energy is going to kind of wrap around it and just kind of blow it apart.

Speaker: And it's just going to fall all over into a heap.

Speaker: And I think that battle is probably going to be it for tonight.

Speaker: I think it's a good stopping point.

Speaker: We'll kind of rest up next time and pick up.

Speaker: Do we want to go ahead and set up camp here and take a long rest or are we going to try?

Speaker: Well, that's up to you because it's only about like 11 o'clock in the afternoon.

Speaker: Oh, yeah, I need a fucking nap.

Speaker: I'm hurting.

Speaker: I'm out.

Speaker: Not to meta, but I'm at like one out of 34.

Speaker: Well, I'm just saying, I mean, we're still surrounded by dead birds.

Speaker: We think we're going to be OK here or do we want to try to find something a little safer?

Speaker: I mean, me and Victoria can just light everything on fire.

Speaker: Just light a big, huge patch of, you know, surround us in flames.

Speaker: Okay, so can we move back here, like, towards the rocks and the trees?

Speaker: Maybe, you know, take a short rest, get some lunch, get some food?

Speaker: Well, yeah, you guys can absolutely take a short rest.

Speaker: Yeah, that won't be a problem at all.

Speaker: Are we good with that?

Speaker: Because it's only, like, ten minutes.

Speaker: Ha ha!

Speaker: eat some rations uh you know what well i guess if if we're getting on to that i mean it is about lunchtime you guys are all probably getting a little hungry um so that means that karthik's i need you to make a constitution saving throw oh man what in the fuck what why can i just eat the pie

Speaker: Yeah, if you want to just eat the pie, that's fine.

Speaker: Yeah.

Speaker: I mean, you still have like, it's basically, it's like four, it's broken into four pieces.

Speaker: You ate one.

Speaker: If you want to eat another piece of pie, go for it.

Speaker: If I eat a piece of pie, will I make a constitution saving throw?

Speaker: You won't have to make a constitution saving throw if you eat the pie.

Speaker: Fucking done.

Speaker: I'm going to get a piece of pie.

Speaker: Okay.

Speaker: Oh, Lord.

Speaker: Do I get temporary here points?

Speaker: Yes, you do.

Speaker: What is it?

Speaker: I think a D8.

Speaker: I can't remember how much.

Speaker: Yes, you get one D8 if you want to roll that.

Speaker: Three again.

Speaker: Three again.
