Speaker: The Dungeon Made Me Do It is a real play D&D podcast.
Speaker: Not sure what that means, here's what you need to know.
Speaker: We the characters will act our way through an adventure.
Speaker: The story progresses by our actions, which don't always work out.
Speaker: The degree of success is measured by the roll of a 20-sided dice.
Speaker: 20 being an absolute success in our favor and one being a critical failure.
Speaker: We'll be playing with milestone leveling for anyone wanting to keep track.
Speaker: We'll be starting our story at level three, where level one and two will be aired separately as they are individual stories.
Speaker: Before we begin our story, you can find us on our socials where any and all feedback is appreciated.
Speaker: You can find us on Twitter at TheDungeonMMDI or our subreddit at TheDungeonMadeMeDoIt.
Speaker: Welcome back to The Dungeon Made Me Do It podcast.
Speaker: Here with some excellent role players tonight.
Speaker: First off, we'll introduce Jorge.
Speaker: Why don't you go ahead and tell us about your character?
Speaker: I am Jorge and I am playing Karthik's cane.
Speaker: Just a little fact about Karthik's this week.
Speaker: If you remember from last week, he is actually not a fan of lemon tarts.
Speaker: However, he remembers that Cassandra, she loves lemon tart.
Speaker: In fact, when he was first betrothed to her at the age of 14, he remembers meeting her in the kitchen where she was cooking with her mother.
Speaker: She offered him a lemon tart.
Speaker: when the merchant offered him a lemon tart, he took it as a sign that this is where he's supposed to be and it's fake that he's there.
Speaker: I would say that that was like one serving you probably ate, which filled you up.
Speaker: You probably still have a little bit of that pie left.
Speaker: Next up, we've got Shriver.
Speaker: Hi, my name is Trevor.
Speaker: I play Scar.
Speaker: Little known fact, Scar 100% believes that everybody does not know that he is an undead vampire.
Speaker: He thinks that he is doing an excellent job.
Speaker: He's a normal human guy.
Speaker: All his muscle mass and everything.
Speaker: All right, next up, we've got Jen.
Speaker: Hi, I'm Jennifer, and I'm playing Victoria.
Speaker: A little fact about Miss Victoria this evening is that she did come from a very wealthy, normal family.
Speaker: A mom and a father who had very good jobs and spent time with her no matter what their jobs were.
Speaker: And they always had a dinner together every single night, no matter what.
Speaker: That's come from a nice, wholesome family, then coming to this.
Speaker: Right, exactly.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Next up, we have got Bill.
Speaker: Hey, I'm Bill.
Speaker: I'm playing the role of Therabon Deathseeker.
Speaker: Little known fact about Therabon is in his past, his parents neglected him, just pretty much ignored him, just wanted nothing to do with him.
Speaker: So he spent a lot of time with Therabon.
Speaker: The only family member that mattered to him, which was his grandfather.
Speaker: His grandfather started teaching him little spells.
Speaker: Unfortunately, his grandfather died.
Speaker: Came from a kind of a rough household.
Speaker: From one nice household to a really terrible one.
Speaker: And finally, we've got Kyle.
Speaker: Best for last.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: So Kyle playing Sashara Storm.
Speaker: Fun fact about Sashara right now.
Speaker: He is not a fan of Karthik's.
Speaker: because he feels like Karthik's is weak and will not do what it takes.
Speaker: So you guys are still in the town square.
Speaker: Are you still wanting to head over to the Burgomaster's mansion?
Speaker: I believe that's what our plan was.
Speaker: I believe so.
Speaker: It's not too far away.
Speaker: You guys could just walk there.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: How are you guys approaching the mansion?
Speaker: I mean, I'm gonna walk up and just knock on the door.
Speaker: Scar's just gonna walk in.
Speaker: I knock on the door and he just walks up behind me and walks right in.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: Well, he's been there once, so he's already automatically welcome.
Speaker: So that's how it works.
Speaker: You're gonna walk in.
Speaker: Ismark is gonna kind of see you and is gonna notice and kind of quickly come up to you.
Speaker: Yes, did you guys find out anything?
Speaker: We found some floating bodies still alive.
Speaker: Don't worry, we took care of them.
Speaker: But you should probably go clean it up.
Speaker: Floating where?
Speaker: In the wells.
Speaker: In the wells?
Speaker: You found bodies?
Speaker: Wait, wait.
Speaker: Still alive.
Speaker: Wait.
Speaker: They were the zombies?
Speaker: The zombies were in the wells?
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: The politically correct term is undead.
Speaker: Speaking of undead, I see you still haven't burnt your dad.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Well, I...
Speaker: I was actually about to ask, well, when you came by, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, since I'm having a hard time finding other villagers to help.
Speaker: Arena suggested that I would ask you.
Speaker: I know you've done so much already with what you've been doing.
Speaker: Could you help us?
Speaker: Give him a proper burial?
Speaker: So Shara kind of pops up.
Speaker: I mean, it is trouble, but I guess we'll help out.
Speaker: I'll get the firewood!
Speaker: No, we're going to bring him to the church.
Speaker: We bury our dead here.
Speaker: So disrespectful.
Speaker: While all of this is going on, Karthus is just going to be standing, leaning up against the wall, kind of arms crossed.
Speaker: So if you guys are okay with it, he's kind of got it set up where you guys can take these rods that are sticking through these holes in the coffin.
Speaker: So everybody can kind of help bring these out as you go through the streets.
Speaker: Irena will be there with you guys.
Speaker: She'll talk to you about what happened, about how he died.
Speaker: She'll kind of talk about how for the last three days before his death, the house was just attacked by wolves and it was just too much for her father to take.
Speaker: Though strangely enough, after he died, the attacks kind of stopped for a while.
Speaker: So they haven't had one since his death.
Speaker: She completely believes that it was Strahd sending something out him to kill her father.
Speaker: She doesn't know exactly...
Speaker: what the purpose was, but perhaps he angered Strahd in some way.
Speaker: She's afraid that maybe he's going to come back for her.
Speaker: Ismark will agree with that.
Speaker: He's really been looking for somebody to help get Irina out of here.
Speaker: He thinks that she's not safe here in town.
Speaker: He just has a feeling that Strahd isn't done yet and he wants her to be safe.
Speaker: I think I want to ask her why Strahd has such an interest in her specifically.
Speaker: Honestly, she has no idea.
Speaker: I'm just a normal person.
Speaker: I've just, there's nothing special about me, you know?
Speaker: I have no idea.
Speaker: I don't know what this monster would want with just a normal village girl, or why he attacks us, or why he does things to our village, or why he attacks our people.
Speaker: Why can't he be just a normal lord of the land and take care of his people?
Speaker: Therabin's gonna take his flask out.
Speaker: and just take a drink of what's in it, because carrying a body kind of reminds him of his grandfather.
Speaker: He's not exactly comfortable with that.
Speaker: Totally get that.
Speaker: As you guys are getting near the church, Ismark is going to say, oh, by the way, um...
Speaker: I looked into my friend's disappearance, Colin, and I looked at his house not too long ago.
Speaker: You might want to go and take a look at it yourself and see what I found.
Speaker: I don't think that he simply just disappeared or walked out of town.
Speaker: So it looks like a murder scene.
Speaker: I think after we bury your grandfather, maybe we should go and look and see if we can find any clues.
Speaker: Well, father, but yes.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: That's all right.
Speaker: Thank you again for doing this.
Speaker: So as you guys are getting up to the church, there's kind of a gate to the side that goes out to the graveyard.
Speaker: It looks like there's a plot that's been kind of dug out for him.
Speaker: Roll me a perception real quick.
Speaker: Good.
Speaker: I was worried.
Speaker: I didn't want to have to dig a hole.
Speaker: It's a 16.
Speaker: 30, 20, 23.
Speaker: Anybody got a 20 or above, you are going to notice that there are three fresh graves.
Speaker: Everything else almost looks like it has been touched.
Speaker: These graves have been touched in a long time.
Speaker: Why are there so many graves?
Speaker: Are you asking this to Ismark?
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: He's going to look over to where you might be pointing out that.
Speaker: And before you can actually really say anything on it, you're going to hear a voice call out to him, you know, Ismark!
Speaker: Ismark!
Speaker: From the back of the church, you're gonna see kind of an older balding man walking towards you.
Speaker: And Ismark's gonna say, oh, Father Donovich!
Speaker: Oh, good.
Speaker: He's like, oh, so you finally brought somebody to help you bring your father here.
Speaker: I was like, yeah, we'll bring him on over and you guys can set him down.
Speaker: I'm sorry, Ismark, to hear about your father and...
Speaker: But it seems like you've got some help to finally bring him out here.
Speaker: And they'll kind of start getting things prepped to lure the body into the ground, unless anybody wants to do anything.
Speaker: Maybe ask why in the world no one is there for his father's funeral.
Speaker: Just people are afraid.
Speaker: You've been around the town, you've seen everything boarded up, people are hardly outside.
Speaker: But, I mean, if what you said is true, if maybe we can get their wells cleaned up and I'll start to get some people down there, I can go down there myself and try to get the bodies out of there.
Speaker: Maybe we could get everything back on track.
Speaker: It's just, I just don't understand.
Speaker: Like, is this what happened to all the missing people?
Speaker: Did people fall into, like, drink the water and fall into the well?
Speaker: Did they fall into it beforehand?
Speaker: I just don't, I guess I don't understand.
Speaker: And Donovich is going to go, oh, so is that what happened to everybody who's been missing?
Speaker: Interesting.
Speaker: I was wondering that myself.
Speaker: Let's go ahead and lay your father to rest.
Speaker: We can discuss everything else afterwards.
Speaker: You guys take a little time.
Speaker: The casket is in the ground.
Speaker: Ismark says that he's gonna, he'd like some time alone.
Speaker: He kind of gives you directions to Colin's house and he's like, you've already done more for me than almost anybody else that has ever done anything for me in my life.
Speaker: But if you could, if it's not too much to ask, just take a look, see what you think.
Speaker: So you will pass Mad Mary.
Speaker: You could still kind of hear her in there crying out a little bit for Gertrude, but you will pass her place.
Speaker: In Cullen's house, you will see that there's some blood on the floor, furniture's overturned, there's a broken candlestick, and you're also going to see a necklace.
Speaker: Can I do just kind of an investigate check on the necklace just to see if anything jumps out at me, if I recognize the symbol or anything like that?
Speaker: Yeah, if you do a religion check, if you have that.
Speaker: Uh, that's a nine.
Speaker: I would say it's at least enough to know that's a symbol of the Mourning Lord.
Speaker: The same symbol that was painted on the windows in the house?
Speaker: Yeah, yeah.
Speaker: So when it comes to the blood, is it just a pool of blood?
Speaker: Is it like a drag or...?
Speaker: You can see that it looks like there's probably some kind of struggle.
Speaker: There is a pool there, but it does drag towards the door.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: I'm gonna have Scar kind of go into this other room here.
Speaker: So the room Scar kind of goes into, it looks like this is maybe a storage area.
Speaker: There is a chest there, a couple of barrels, things like that.
Speaker: Nothing really of a whole lot of note.
Speaker: The room past it looks like it goes into like this really simple bedroom.
Speaker: There's a bed, there's a nightstand, but really nothing, nothing big in there.
Speaker: Can I look in the chest?
Speaker: Opening the chest, you're going to see different clothes.
Speaker: I mean, just common clothes.
Speaker: It doesn't look like there's anything really expensive.
Speaker: Is there any signs of claw marks or anything like that?
Speaker: Would you like me to do an investigation check?
Speaker: Yeah, go ahead and do an investigation.
Speaker: 10.
Speaker: You don't see any claw mark.
Speaker: Your best guess is it was probably the candlestick.
Speaker: And the candlestick has got blood on it.
Speaker: It's broken.
Speaker: It's near it.
Speaker: That's kind of the best idea that you've got is that somebody got hit with a candlestick.
Speaker: Let's take the candlestick with us.
Speaker: You said it looked like the blood was dragged to the door.
Speaker: So he's going to push the door open and see if there's any dragged.
Speaker: And once you get onto the door and outside, you do see that there's a little bit of blood on the steps.
Speaker: Beyond that, maybe rain or other elements just kind of wash the blood away.
Speaker: There's not a lot, but if you kind of look, little bits of blood that kind of lead up north.
Speaker: I think he was dragged this way.
Speaker: He doesn't smell like an air breather anymore.
Speaker: But then I go to follow him.
Speaker: And after investigating and finding the candlestick, Thurban's going to go off in a corner by himself and just start
Speaker: talking i'm gonna say oddly enough you're not gonna hear a response which isn't super uncommon for you sometimes it speaks to you sometimes it doesn't but this time it doesn't seem to want to talk to you i think i'm gonna step outside and see if i can see any of the drag marks in the grass or anywhere around the house that um may show us a direction that he was drugged the direction that scar said north up towards the town center
Speaker: Well, this house is very underwhelming for somebody persistent on us checking it.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: So you're saying that some blood and stuff was stuck down in the cracks when I looked at it earlier.
Speaker: If somebody was dragged there, maybe it bled down into those cracks and it didn't get quite washed away because it was kind of protected from the elements.
Speaker: Okay, so Scar's going to get down, crawl like a bear, and follow it.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: It's going to start to disappear as you get to the town center.
Speaker: As it's going up, it starts to veer off towards the church.
Speaker: Then you completely lose it.
Speaker: Is everybody with him at this moment?
Speaker: I am.
Speaker: I was looking for a trail myself, so I kind of just followed behind him.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So Shara's kind of hanging towards the back of everyone, but is following.
Speaker: Oh, I'm thinking we should go talk to Mary.
Speaker: Let's go see if we can shut her up.
Speaker: You're going to back a little bit up.
Speaker: You're going to go to the house.
Speaker: You can hear her again, not crying super loud this time, but just, Kutcher, why don't you just come home?
Speaker: I miss my baby.
Speaker: And then you're going to knock on the door.
Speaker: Then it'll be swung up.
Speaker: Kutcher, Kutcher.
Speaker: Oh, oh, who, who, who are you?
Speaker: Do you have my Gertrude?
Speaker: Did she come?
Speaker: Did she come say a word?
Speaker: Did she?
Speaker: Can I slap her out of whatever hysteria she's in?
Speaker: Oh my goodness.
Speaker: Karthix is going to step in her feet.
Speaker: Seems to be happening a lot.
Speaker: So Karthix is going to actually make sure that he is in between everybody in the door.
Speaker: He's going to be the first person at the door.
Speaker: Keep everybody at arms lean.
Speaker: Oh, did Gertrude send you?
Speaker: No, we don't know Gertrude, but if you tell us a little bit about her, maybe we can help you locate her.
Speaker: And as soon as you mention that, oh, we could maybe find her.
Speaker: She said, yes, yes, come, come, come, come.
Speaker: I'll show you her room.
Speaker: I'll show you where she's upstairs.
Speaker: Do you need anything to drink at all?
Speaker: We'll follow her in while we're walking.
Speaker: I kind of want to see if there's any kind of painting that would have their image in it.
Speaker: So we would know who we're looking for.
Speaker: In actual medieval times, usually only wealthy people probably had their portraits painted, so probably not too common to see portraits of people.
Speaker: Mostly landscape, if there are any.
Speaker: Did Gertrude have a doll that was made for her?
Speaker: Mary will have a doll in her hands.
Speaker: You'll notice as she's kind of bringing it upstairs.
Speaker: Very vague in how it looks.
Speaker: I mean, it just looks like a little kid's toy.
Speaker: Yeah, you knew exactly where I was going with that.
Speaker: Yeah, you go up to a room.
Speaker: It is a little, I mean, basically think of a little kid's room.
Speaker: I shouldn't say very colorful because there's not a whole lot of color here, but it looks like this is a child's room.
Speaker: And you will notice that this room has the open window.
Speaker: So it seems like Mary's usually in this room when she's crying out.
Speaker: The window does have a nice view of the street below the road that you guys were just on.
Speaker: This seems a little bit odd for like a little kid's room is that the bed seems a bit large for a child.
Speaker: That's about the only thing that really kind of sticks out so far would just kind of coming into the room.
Speaker: I was kind of expecting that.
Speaker: Karthik would put his hand on her shoulder and just kind of consult her a little bit.
Speaker: How long ago did Gertrude disappear?
Speaker: She's going to say that it's probably been a couple of weeks.
Speaker: How old is Gertrude?
Speaker: Well, I guess...
Speaker: Well, you know, your children are always babies to you.
Speaker: It's hard to say with my baby.
Speaker: She's always going to be my baby.
Speaker: I just want my baby to come home.
Speaker: I want to do an insight check on her.
Speaker: Sure.
Speaker: Six.
Speaker: Switching gears here.
Speaker: Can I do detect thoughts so I can try to see what her surface thoughts are?
Speaker: Actually, you know what?
Speaker: We'll make her roll for it so I can get deeper thoughts.
Speaker: So that's a wisdom save 14.
Speaker: So she got an eight.
Speaker: Going kind of into her mind here, this woman's not quite well.
Speaker: There's something wrong with her.
Speaker: I guess I should ask, do you see, is it just almost like reading their mind as if like reading a book?
Speaker: Or do you see memories of them?
Speaker: Is it something like that?
Speaker: If they fail the save, I gain insight into any reasoning that they have.
Speaker: Their emotional state,
Speaker: and the thing that looms largest over their mind.
Speaker: So whatever they're worrying over and the details of that.
Speaker: So she is actually worried about Gertruda.
Speaker: That's completely 100% genuine.
Speaker: To her, Gertruda is like a babe, though you will kind of sense in the back of her mind that she knows that Gertruda isn't a child, but she doesn't want to let that go because she doesn't want her to leave her.
Speaker: So real quick, one thing that it says on here is that questions that are verbally directed will shape the course of the thoughts.
Speaker: So whenever the question was asked, or so I'm going to reiterate the question since I didn't cast it till afterwards.
Speaker: How old is Gertrude?
Speaker: And then I will know exactly what she thinks as soon as I ask that question.
Speaker: She's like...
Speaker: she's just a little girl, but she doesn't actually know what her actual age is because she doesn't want to know, but she knows in the back of her mind she's in her probably mid to late 20s.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So while she's talking about her little girl and he's doing that, Scar's just going to start rummaging through shit.
Speaker: Oh.
Speaker: She's immediately going to freak out.
Speaker: No, no, don't touch.
Speaker: Don't touch.
Speaker: Please, please.
Speaker: And she's going to try to almost get in there to move you out of the way.
Speaker: And Scar is going to tell her to go to the corner.
Speaker: She's just like, what are you doing in my house?
Speaker: Just leave.
Speaker: And I just ignore her.
Speaker: So, okay.
Speaker: So, so the next question that I want to ask as I'm like grabbing her shoulders and pointing her to face me.
Speaker: Uh-huh.
Speaker: What does Gertrude look like?
Speaker: This lasts up to a minute, so I can, whatever she pictures in her head, that is what I will see.
Speaker: All right, I will go ahead and just show you a picture of her.
Speaker: If I can find it, here we go.
Speaker: Woman, 20s, blue eyes, brown hair, you know, attractive.
Speaker: So Shara's going to relay that to the rest of the team as to what she looks like.
Speaker: When Shara's relating this to the rest of the team, are you explaining what you're doing?
Speaker: No, you guys have no idea that I'm in her head.
Speaker: So the way I cast the spell is that I reach into my pocket and I'm holding this little copper piece.
Speaker: I like put the copper piece to my forehead.
Speaker: And this is all like done behind everyone.
Speaker: So she didn't see it.
Speaker: I just speak under my breath.
Speaker: So if anybody wants to do an Arcana, you could kind of figure out what he's doing.
Speaker: If he's doing this and then he's relaying the message of, she's in her 20s, this is what she looks like, where are you getting this information from if you're not probing Hidber?
Speaker: Clearly he's getting all this information.
Speaker: So I'm going to tell him, however you're finding this information, give me any kind of answers that you can about the Burgomaster and his daughter.
Speaker: Okay, so Sashar is going to look back at Mad Mary and just be like,
Speaker: Tell me everything you know about the Kolyanas.
Speaker: Why are you doing this?
Speaker: I just dropped my door.
Speaker: She doesn't have to say anything.
Speaker: Once I ask the question, it's whatever pops into her head.
Speaker: Shashara has to ask the question.
Speaker: Does he have to direct it to her?
Speaker: Could Karthik kind of embrace her and just talk to her softly?
Speaker: Yeah, it's whoever asked the question.
Speaker: If I'm understanding it right, Kyle, is it just basically whatever comes to her thoughts?
Speaker: So it's like, you could probably ask the question, Jorge, but now that thought's in her head, then Kyle could, you know, Shashara could actually kind of get in on it.
Speaker: Is that right?
Speaker: Yeah, so it doesn't matter who asks the question as long as the question is asked.
Speaker: However,
Speaker: sashara is super headstrong so i mean if karthix wants to like try to sneak in it's not going to help sashara's view of him but i i get what you're wanting to do there too if i can calm her does anyone have calm emotions or calm person that's meta but like does anyone have that spell i can totally calm her down oh no i i want to i want to backhand her so bad and just make her shut up
Speaker: I have pretty decent charisma, but I can do charisma.
Speaker: If I can calm her, if I can kind of relax her, especially Scar yelling at her to get into porn, I'm like, what the fuck?
Speaker: Scar knows what he's doing.
Speaker: He may be dumb, but he knows what he's doing.
Speaker: I have a point to this.
Speaker: So I'll go ahead and go back to when he first asked.
Speaker: You just kind of got flashes of attacks from Strahd trying to get into the house.
Speaker: And it's all being jumbled up you because at the same time in her mind, she's terrified.
Speaker: So you're not getting really clear messages.
Speaker: And so as Karthik swoops in, kind of pulls her aside.
Speaker: Is Scar still rummaging through her stuff?
Speaker: You're damn right he is.
Speaker: You will notice that a lot of the dresses are for an adult woman, but they are made in the style of a child.
Speaker: And you're seeing toys, little dolls and things.
Speaker: A lot of them will be crudely made or malformed.
Speaker: And almost every single one is going to have tags on them.
Speaker: It's going to say, is no fun, is no blinsky.
Speaker: I'm going to walk her towards the window so they can do what they're doing behind her.
Speaker: I'm kind of acting as a distraction.
Speaker: Yeah, and it's working.
Speaker: She eventually just kind of calmed down and she's... Are you going to find Gertrude?
Speaker: What do you want to know?
Speaker: We'll do our best to locate Gurdred, but what I want to know is what happened before Strahd came into this town?
Speaker: Strahd... He's the devil's... He's been here forever!
Speaker: He's always been here!
Speaker: There's never been a time he hasn't been here!
Speaker: He's been here since... Since my mother was here, and since her mother was here, and since her mother... He's always been here!
Speaker: So when did the attacks on the town start?
Speaker: They've... Oh... I... Oh, I don't know, I don't know, oh...
Speaker: Uh, maybe a few years ago?
Speaker: Since... Yeah, since my Gertrude, she was really small at that time, but they've been getting worse this lately.
Speaker: Yes, yes, yes.
Speaker: Maybe that has something to do with it.
Speaker: But they've always been over at the Burgomaster.
Speaker: They've always attacked them.
Speaker: Yeah, I think they want something inside there.
Speaker: I wonder if that has something to do with the person I saw dragging that... Oh, I don't know.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: Oh, Gertrude!
Speaker: The person you saw them dragging, which way did they drag him?
Speaker: Huh?
Speaker: Oh...
Speaker: Oh, a few nights ago, I think from that fellow's house.
Speaker: And she'll kind of point towards Colin's house.
Speaker: Yes, there was... I saw a black... a man in a black robe.
Speaker: And he was dragging something... something over towards the church.
Speaker: Yes, yes.
Speaker: Do you think Gertrude is over there?
Speaker: Do you think that she's at the church?
Speaker: at this guy in a black robe.
Speaker: He kind of goes over to both of them and he looks down there- Harker to put his hand up quickly and push him over.
Speaker: No, no, no, no, no.
Speaker: And he's gonna say, did he have a limb?
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: I couldn't see that well.
Speaker: It was night.
Speaker: It was dark.
Speaker: As she's picturing this, as she's picturing what she remembers, do I see if this person possibly had a limb?
Speaker: From what she's picturing, it is a person in a dark robe.
Speaker: It's at night, so it is difficult to see.
Speaker: And honestly, she can't really even see if it's a body.
Speaker: It looks body-like, but maybe it's covered up or maybe it's something to go over it.
Speaker: You do see it's a person dragging it.
Speaker: They're hunched over, putting a lot of work into it, but you can't really see if they have a limp because they're not walking normally.
Speaker: With Shashar getting the visions of it, the person's dragging him backwards.
Speaker: Yeah, that's exactly what's happening.
Speaker: So touching back on real quick, the fact that Strahd's been here forever, she doesn't have any other insight on that, right?
Speaker: It's just she just knows Strahd's been around for as long as she knows.
Speaker: You can feel some fear and that's why she avoids the Burgomaster and that family because it seems like Strahd has been centralized on them.
Speaker: Perhaps they've done something to anger Strahd and if Strahd's angry at any of these people,
Speaker: People keep their distance.
Speaker: That's kind of what you're getting.
Speaker: Probably why they've been sort of like pariahed lately is because Strahd's been putting a lot of focus on that family.
Speaker: And what did she remember about Irina?
Speaker: You will get little tinches that Irina, she's not a biological daughter of the Burgomaster, but she's an adopted daughter.
Speaker: That's about all that Azshara would get out of it.
Speaker: So we've personally met Irina.
Speaker: She's not this overly beautiful thing that he's going to be like,
Speaker: obsessed with romantically.
Speaker: I would say she's above average and attractive, but she's not the most beautiful thing you've ever seen.
Speaker: But she's very good looking, yeah.
Speaker: I mean, in this current climate, you gotta take what you can get.
Speaker: That's true.
Speaker: That's true.
Speaker: But you know, I will say Mary is single.
Speaker: I think everybody wants to throw Mary out the fucking window, so.
Speaker: Jorge doesn't.
Speaker: He has a soft spot for, you know, needy women.
Speaker: They're not medicated.
Speaker: They're not fun.
Speaker: So has anyone ever seen the Van Helsing movie with what's his name?
Speaker: Hugh Jackman.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: I picture Irina as the main female character in that movie.
Speaker: That's how I picture Irina.
Speaker: I think that's probably right.
Speaker: I'd have to look at it.
Speaker: I haven't seen that movie in a long... Wasn't it Penelope Cruz?
Speaker: No, no.
Speaker: It's... I'll send it in the chat.
Speaker: I can't remember who it is off the top of my head, but no, it's not either of them.
Speaker: We have Google.
Speaker: Yeah, I know.
Speaker: Now I'm like frantically looking it up.
Speaker: Kate Beckinsale?
Speaker: Yeah, Kate Beckinsale.
Speaker: Yeah, that's who I picture whenever I'm picturing Irina.
Speaker: That is actually pretty accurate.
Speaker: I would say that's, yeah.
Speaker: So yes, viewers, there's a little picture for you.
Speaker: In case when you're doing our podcast, the movie...
Speaker: So Scar's got a handful of adult kid clothes and he looks at her and all he's gonna say as he throws them at her is, You treat the young like they're old, they're gonna be old.
Speaker: But if you treat the old like the young, they're gonna leave.
Speaker: I walk out.
Speaker: She's gonna burst into the tear, gather up the clothes.
Speaker: Are you doing this?
Speaker: Please?
Speaker: You did this to yourself.
Speaker: You pushed her away.
Speaker: Oh, fuck.
Speaker: Scar leaves.
Speaker: He goes outside to wait.
Speaker: Karth is going to help her gather up the clothes and put them somewhere else and reassure her again.
Speaker: We'll do what we can to see if we can find Rertruda.
Speaker: Please, please do.
Speaker: And we'll be back.
Speaker: Where to next?
Speaker: Around what time of day is it?
Speaker: Maybe around two, three o'clock-ish.
Speaker: When we went to the church earlier, can I make a history check?
Speaker: Oh, it's going to be a bad one.
Speaker: But can I try to make a history check to see what that church guy was wearing?
Speaker: Donovan?
Speaker: See if I remember.
Speaker: You're just trying to remember what he was wearing when he came and saw you guys?
Speaker: Normal priest robes?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: Scar's going to start walking to the church as everybody else is outside.
Speaker: and ready to move on.
Speaker: Parthex is gonna stop.
Speaker: I say we go to the church later when we know people are not gonna be there.
Speaker: Currently, Ismark stated he wanted some time to grieve with his father.
Speaker: They were all talking, so they still might be there.
Speaker: So if we give them some time, catch the father alone.
Speaker: Is that what everybody's gonna do?
Speaker: Father's at the church.
Speaker: Where's his house?
Speaker: I would not know that, but a certain barmaid might.
Speaker: And at the mention of the barmaid... No, I'm just kidding.
Speaker: So Scarb nods, lead the way.
Speaker: So I'm going to go ahead and kind of head back towards the tavern.
Speaker: In the tavern, Karthik is going to go and see if he can spot the barmaid or Eri.
Speaker: Eric will be there.
Speaker: A couple other people in there too.
Speaker: There's like three of them at a table that they were there the night that you came there first.
Speaker: They're a little bit dressed differently than the other townspeople.
Speaker: Not as drab.
Speaker: They have a more colorful clothing, darker hair, and they kind of seem a little bit more jovial as they're kind of talking with each other and having a few drinks.
Speaker: Is your bar made available?
Speaker: Yeah, actually, I don't even know if I gave her a name.
Speaker: I think I probably did.
Speaker: Erica.
Speaker: Erica and Erica.
Speaker: I love it.
Speaker: I think that's what it was.
Speaker: Yeah, that's what it was.
Speaker: Was it really?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Sure, why not?
Speaker: I'm going to put that down on here so I remember that.
Speaker: Scar raises an eyebrow when Karthiks asks that.
Speaker: Yeah, I'll say that she's there.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Karthiks will go to the side with her.
Speaker: Same basic questions.
Speaker: What do you know about her?
Speaker: You mean about the priests?
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: Father Donovic, he's a good man.
Speaker: He seems to be under a lot of stress lately since what happened to his son.
Speaker: He's always been a part of our community, though too many people go to the church.
Speaker: A lot of people have lost faith in the morning lord.
Speaker: What happened to his son?
Speaker: A few people had gotten together.
Speaker: They were tired, broken from how he, you know, you know who I'm talking about, has been treating us.
Speaker: And they went to Castle Ravenloft.
Speaker: His son was one of the few people who kind of gathered everyone together, and they were all slaughtered.
Speaker: Father Donovic's son led a coup against Strahd's castle.
Speaker: Yes, and it's well it went as well as you think it would go did the burgle master her join them No, he tried to stop them.
Speaker: He knew that it would be suicide But they wouldn't listen and then they left I think it happened about a year ago if I remember right though It wasn't this his son
Speaker: He was another man.
Speaker: He came into the... He was kind of like you fellows.
Speaker: He came in here and he was the one who kind of brought everybody in.
Speaker: He was an outsider.
Speaker: He got everybody up in a frenzy and had them go.
Speaker: But yes, the priest's son was one of them who also kind of led everybody and kind of convinced a lot of the people to go.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: I'm sorry.
Speaker: You were saying...
Speaker: How often do you get adventurers in this town?
Speaker: Not very often.
Speaker: I mean, well, you know about the mists.
Speaker: Once you're here, you can't leave.
Speaker: And the only people who can leave, and she'll almost like point a little bit to the three kind of more jovial people in the corner, would be the Vistani.
Speaker: But they have their own ways of doing it.
Speaker: They don't really share their secrets with others.
Speaker: But every once in a while, outsiders will come.
Speaker: And Karthus will just thank her for her conversation.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: And then he's going to go and actually lead Scar over to the table.
Speaker: Oh yeah, you know where this is going.
Speaker: So if you approach the guy, they will stop for a second and they'll, you know, look in your direction, but they won't say anything.
Speaker: I'll go ahead and sit at the table with them.
Speaker: Oh, okay.
Speaker: They'll just kind of look at you without saying it, like, who the hell do you think you are?
Speaker: And what are you doing?
Speaker: But they won't say anything.
Speaker: I hear if somebody wants to leave this town, you know how to do it.
Speaker: How do we get out of the mist?
Speaker: They'll kind of eye to each other.
Speaker: Give me an insight.
Speaker: That'll be a 23.
Speaker: This is definitely a look of, this is going to be good.
Speaker: This is going to be fun.
Speaker: So one of them will kind of look towards you and say, ah, so you're trying to get out of the mists, I see.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: It's very difficult.
Speaker: It's traveling them without protection.
Speaker: That's going to lead to certain death.
Speaker: But, uh,
Speaker: We have our ways.
Speaker: We've traveled this many times, right?
Speaker: Am I right, Elnick?
Speaker: And he's like, yes, Sorvaya, you traveled it many times.
Speaker: I think you just went out to, what was that place?
Speaker: The Sword Coast something last, a few moons ago?
Speaker: Ah, yes, I have a fun time.
Speaker: I can give you something.
Speaker: I see you are one of the few that probably want to return home.
Speaker: Are you not?
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: And he's gonna reach into a pack and he's gonna pull out a glass vial with a bluish liquid and says, this is the secret to the use of Xerceps.
Speaker: The Mists have no control over us with this.
Speaker: You take a couple of drinks, you walk through as if it was nothing for you, my friends.
Speaker: I could sell it to you for a modest price, 50 gold.
Speaker: And this place could be far behind you.
Speaker: How long would you say we've been talking to this guy?
Speaker: Roughly, roughly in time, about a minute?
Speaker: Probably about a minute, yeah.
Speaker: Okay, can you give me a wisdom saving throw, please?
Speaker: Actually, I think I've got this for a sec.
Speaker: I should pull him up.
Speaker: Fuck.
Speaker: As I'm trying to fear that guy, it seems like Karthix is formulating a plan.
Speaker: So I want to cast my message cantrip.
Speaker: and try to communicate with him telepathically.
Speaker: See if there's any way that we can come up with something.
Speaker: Do you have an idea?
Speaker: If this will allow us to walk back and forth to the mist, at least it'll give us an exit strategy.
Speaker: So then Karthiks is gonna look back at Elnick, ask him, if you already left the mist, why return?
Speaker: What's in it for you?
Speaker: Well, this is our homeland.
Speaker: This is our place that we're supposed to be.
Speaker: But we're travelers, we're merchants, we move around.
Speaker: We're sometimes here, we're sometimes there.
Speaker: We go to different places.
Speaker: But why return to something so... Bleak?
Speaker: Unhomely.
Speaker: Unhomely to some, but to us?
Speaker: No.
Speaker: We bring our homes with us.
Speaker: You see us?
Speaker: You see them?
Speaker: Very different.
Speaker: You know?
Speaker: We are people who live in the moment.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: It may be bleak.
Speaker: It may be dreary.
Speaker: But we make it, we have life within us and we bring that life to each other.
Speaker: We do not suffer as the others do.
Speaker: They speak of the devil's strad and they spit.
Speaker: Ah, he's a man.
Speaker: Maybe more than a man, but he causes us no harm.
Speaker: We guys seem to more harm.
Speaker: We are in mutuation.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: But we bring our home where we want and yeah, this place seems okay.
Speaker: I mean, the people, a little drab, but
Speaker: So he's not really giving much of an answer, but that's just what he says.
Speaker: Has he put the vial away?
Speaker: Yeah, he'll kind of put it away as he's talking.
Speaker: If you want to leave.
Speaker: I don't want to leave.
Speaker: I want to know why somebody would want to return.
Speaker: What benefits do you have?
Speaker: Look at where you're at.
Speaker: This is my tavern.
Speaker: I own this.
Speaker: So I think I bring a lot to these people.
Speaker: Sometimes they need a little, you know, a little something to forget about the
Speaker: the problems that they're having.
Speaker: It's our way of helping people.
Speaker: But as of late,
Speaker: We've had troubles with the Wizards of Wine bringing their shipments, but I believe that should clear up soon.
Speaker: No problems.
Speaker: So I want to insight him saying this is his tavern.
Speaker: I got a 19.
Speaker: He seems pretty comfortable saying that.
Speaker: Perhaps there's some truth to it.
Speaker: Maybe he does own this place.
Speaker: A few people come in every now and then.
Speaker: I understand.
Speaker: They're scared.
Speaker: They look up to Castle Ravenloft and they expect him to come down any moment upon their heads and
Speaker: You know, it's sad.
Speaker: It's just a sad thing.
Speaker: It does hurt business.
Speaker: It does.
Speaker: But you know, I do what I can.
Speaker: I have a place here.
Speaker: It's just safe.
Speaker: They come in every once in a while though.
Speaker: Few do.
Speaker: But it is here.
Speaker: It is a safe favor.
Speaker: But you are not scared.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: My people, we are not scared of Strat.
Speaker: As I say, you know, he's just a man.
Speaker: You know, perhaps more, but he causes us no harm.
Speaker: He lets us pass freely.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: We have no quarrel with him.
Speaker: What about a burglomass, sir?
Speaker: No, he's a man who's feel a lot of pain, but he's still in it.
Speaker: You know, he's got a big shoes to fill, you know.
Speaker: His father has died recently.
Speaker: A lot of people give him support, you know.
Speaker: They people call him the lesser.
Speaker: Did you know that?
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: He's not quite the man that his father was, but he may never be.
Speaker: But maybe one day he will.
Speaker: Perhaps somebody in his family has drawn the ire of Strahd, perhaps?
Speaker: They seem to have focused a lot of attention on him.
Speaker: I know not why.
Speaker: He seems to have angered him in such a way.
Speaker: It's a pity, but perhaps it is done now.
Speaker: Perhaps with his father finally passing on, perhaps Strahd will move on.
Speaker: Perhaps not.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: I do not know these answers, but, you know.
Speaker: I'll always be here.
Speaker: If you change your mind, it's always available anytime you wish to go home.
Speaker: Karthik's gonna pat him on the shoulder, kind of walk away for Victoria, kind of give her that nod of like, make a point to know where that is.
Speaker: Get that short rest if you need it.
Speaker: Wait, so did we rest for four hours?
Speaker: I would say yeah.
Speaker: I got a long rest.
Speaker: You got your spells back.
Speaker: I got everything back.
Speaker: I am so happy.
Speaker: I burned everything.
Speaker: Wow.
Speaker: I had one Bardic Inspiration left and like one first level spell and my cantrips.
Speaker: And that was it.
Speaker: If it's getting dark, we're going to head back up to the church.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: If I didn't describe it before.
Speaker: a stone and wood building.
Speaker: So it's weathered a few assaults.
Speaker: It's got a bell tower in the back.
Speaker: The roof looks like it's got a couple holes in it.
Speaker: Looks like it's seen better days.
Speaker: So there's one main entrance to the church.
Speaker: There are a few windows, but they don't seem to be like you can open them, almost like a stained glass type of thing.
Speaker: And then you could also go in through the graveyard.
Speaker: There could be a back entrance, but you'd have to go around back.
Speaker: Yeah, I want to check all the entrances and see if there's any like blood.
Speaker: Go ahead and give me an investigation check.
Speaker: I would say right now, start with the main entrance.
Speaker: Oh,
Speaker: I rolled a three.
Speaker: I'm stealthy, though.
Speaker: Nice job.
Speaker: Silent like the wind!
Speaker: sashara is sashara is like on scar like he's he's just right behind him following him um because this is the only person that sashara even likes the entire group so he's the guy you trust huh he's not an air breather like the rest of these
Speaker: Um, on the main area that you're looking at, there's no like windows, but as you kind of come around the side, you will see the stained glass windows and it's a one story place other than the bell tower, which goes up higher.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: So Shara is like sneaking around trying to peek through the windows.
Speaker: I don't see anything inside.
Speaker: So I think it's good to go.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: From what you see in there, it looks like a normal church area, moderately decorated wooden benches, candles that are mounted on candlestick.
Speaker: The far end of it is a stone altar.
Speaker: So I'm going to quietly check the front door and see if it's unlocked.
Speaker: I would say no.
Speaker: It would make sense that the front door isn't locked.
Speaker: The doors inside, that probably would be.
Speaker: So I'm going to say the front door is not locked.
Speaker: I'm going to enter into the church and look around.
Speaker: I'm not going to be stealthy, but I'm not going to be loud.
Speaker: So, yeah, you're going to open up that door, kind of go in.
Speaker: So the door is open to reveal a 10-foot wide, 20-foot long hall leading to a chapel.
Speaker: The hall is unlit and reeks of kind of a mildew a little bit.
Speaker: There's four doors, two on each side.
Speaker: Is anybody being particularly stealthy as they're going through here?
Speaker: Scar's being Scar, buddy.
Speaker: Sashara is trying to.
Speaker: I'm not going to be loud.
Speaker: 22.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Hey!
Speaker: So Shara does a great job of making sure not to make too much noise, but of course Scar is doing his thing.
Speaker: Scar, behind the door that you're at right now, you're going to hear some like scuffling and movement.
Speaker: Eventually the door will open and you will see Donovic there, kind of in a nightgown type of thing.
Speaker: It's like, oh, oh, you fellas, what are you doing here so late?
Speaker: When he opens the door, Scar gives him like the most terrifying like, what the fuck?
Speaker: He'll probably see that and kind of back up a little bit.
Speaker: What's he wearing?
Speaker: Like I said, like a nightgown.
Speaker: What color?
Speaker: Do I see any leg?
Speaker: Not really.
Speaker: Do I?
Speaker: Do I see any leg?
Speaker: It is a gray nightgown, I guess.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: It's not very flattering.
Speaker: Cesare's like, I'm woken in, motherfucker!
Speaker: Like, all right, let's check this place out!
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I see behind him, you can see a dirty-ish room.
Speaker: There's a wooden bed with a straw mattress.
Speaker: Mounted above the headboard is the sun-shaped holy symbol.
Speaker: Kind of the same symbol that you saw on the necklace and that you kind of saw on the windows.
Speaker: Therabin's getting yelled at by his book, he ain't going in.
Speaker: Not happening.
Speaker: So I just kind of walk away from him.
Speaker: Okay, yeah.
Speaker: He's a little confused.
Speaker: He's like, yes, if you came here to pray, please help yourselves.
Speaker: You're always welcome here.
Speaker: The Morning Lord always protect those who pray to him.
Speaker: I'm going to check this door.
Speaker: I guess he's still in the doorway, and it looks like Karthix is almost in front of him, so he probably won't see you.
Speaker: That door is locked.
Speaker: Really?
Speaker: Oh, boy.
Speaker: Do I hear anything behind it?
Speaker: No, it's completely quiet.
Speaker: let me in there.
Speaker: I'll move to the side.
Speaker: While they do that, I will give them a little bit of cover.
Speaker: We're going to ask Father Donovic about his son.
Speaker: So I heard, Ronson, you have a child that went missing.
Speaker: Oh, wow.
Speaker: Yes, my son Doru.
Speaker: He... Yes, he was... He'd gone up to Castle Ravenloft.
Speaker: Who... Who spoke about my son?
Speaker: I'm not here.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: I just heard tell of your son that he had gone missing.
Speaker: Oh, oh, yeah.
Speaker: You guys did open up that door.
Speaker: So, yeah, 15 with the thieves tools and then a 20 investigation looking around the room.
Speaker: Kind of mirrors his room with bed, straw mattress.
Speaker: There's another holy symbol in there.
Speaker: From looking around, this room has not been used in a very long time.
Speaker: Real quick, is the holy symbol like bolted to the wall or does it look like it comes off?
Speaker: It looks like it comes off.
Speaker: It's just like hung on there probably with a nail.
Speaker: I want to put it in my bag.
Speaker: You could definitely take that.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Never know when a holy symbol would work.
Speaker: Never know.
Speaker: What did Karthik's the ass right before I kind of switched over to him?
Speaker: why his son would walk up to Castle Regenloff.
Speaker: Well, he... A man came to town, travelers like yourselves, and he kind of got everybody up in a frenzy that they shouldn't have to live in fear, and sent my son to his death.
Speaker: So, yes.
Speaker: Do you know what that Traverse Lane name was?
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: It was more than something.
Speaker: More than something.
Speaker: It was more than Kane.
Speaker: I don't remember.
Speaker: Insight.
Speaker: Yeah, go ahead.
Speaker: Not insight.
Speaker: I guess I'm trying to determine whether or not I know roughly...
Speaker: What?
Speaker: Roughly who he's talking about standing right by the door.
Speaker: I don't think they have a knowledge local.
Speaker: It'd be like a history.
Speaker: I would do a history check.
Speaker: Damn it.
Speaker: Five.
Speaker: Fuck.
Speaker: I don't know who he's talking about.
Speaker: Well that fits because this would be simultaneous with me searching.
Speaker: I got a zero!
Speaker: You, so Scar, you think you know who he's talking about.
Speaker: And he is a guy that goes around and he eats children in their sleep.
Speaker: You think?
Speaker: Not sure.
Speaker: The hilarious part of that is that because it rolled two dice, he got a nat one and a nat 20 at the same time.
Speaker: Yes.
Speaker: I think I know where Guthrid is!
Speaker: I wanna check this door handle right in front of me, the doorknob.
Speaker: This one will also be locked.
Speaker: Got this or should I knock?
Speaker: Donovich can see you at that angle.
Speaker: What are you fellas doing?
Speaker: I don't understand.
Speaker: Did you come here to pray or what do you... And he's almost going to try to move past Karthix.
Speaker: Not aggressively.
Speaker: If Karthix moves out of the way, he'll move past him.
Speaker: But if Karthix blocks him, he won't push any further.
Speaker: So Shara's going to try to intervene with this real quick before he tries to push by.
Speaker: Yes, father, I...
Speaker: I actually would like to do some praying.
Speaker: However, I'm a little shy when it comes to that.
Speaker: And so I was just looking for a private place to pray to the Morning Lord and hope that I can get his ear.
Speaker: Give me a persuasion.
Speaker: I was hoping it would be deception.
Speaker: Well, I guess if you're lying to him, I'm fine with that.
Speaker: Yeah, go ahead and do a deception.
Speaker: dirty 20.
Speaker: Okay, well that's understandable, but please I'd rather you not move around.
Speaker: It's very unkept in there, and this place has fallen apart.
Speaker: I wouldn't want any of you to get hurt.
Speaker: Please, if you'd all come into the chapel with me, I could lead you in prayer.
Speaker: I'm going to send a message to Karthix, and kind of tell him that I'm going to tell the priest I'm going to leave if he can take the priest over with Scarred, so they can
Speaker: be led in prayer, I'm going to come back and check these doors.
Speaker: Correct us if we ask for the father's ear to see if we can talk privately in a different corridor.
Speaker: He'll go with you.
Speaker: If Scar seems to leave the door alone, you can see him kind of visibly relaxed and he'd say, oh yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker: Well, when I jiggled the door, did I hear anything on the other side?
Speaker: Um, no, I'd say not.
Speaker: No.
Speaker: So I'm going to take the father and kind of bring him over here.
Speaker: He'll almost let go to the altar with you.
Speaker: Unless you're going to say something to him to make him want to go that way.
Speaker: What are you going to say to him?
Speaker: Well, I was trying to get him away from Scar.
Speaker: What I want to do is kind of pull him out of line of sight.
Speaker: Right, right.
Speaker: So what are you going to say to kind of get him over to that side?
Speaker: That it's a sensitive matter.
Speaker: Oh, but you have to talk to him privately about something.
Speaker: Right.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: He'll go over there with you.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Real quick.
Speaker: After Sashara sees them walk away, I rolled a 25 stealth and 17 thieves tools.
Speaker: Take a peek in this room.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You are going to pop that door open.
Speaker: Inside, you're going to see Time and the Galect have kind of punch holes in the ceiling.
Speaker: It's a moldy room.
Speaker: It's got a lot of broken roof shingles and puddles of water in the corner.
Speaker: You're also going to see a trap door kind of held shut with some chains and a padlock.
Speaker: Pick the lock.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: While all of this is going on, just so it's put out there, Carthix is just going to unburden himself a little bit, and he's just going to talk to him about Cassandra.
Speaker: Yeah, he'll kind of talk to you about, like, you know, oh, yes, of course, you'll see her again.
Speaker: And in death, we all move to one another.
Speaker: Give me an insight check.
Speaker: There'll be an 11.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: That's okay.
Speaker: That's enough that you're going to kind of know that he's kind of hiding something as he's saying, oh yeah, you'll see her again.
Speaker: Carthas is going to come across as if he's trying, but he doesn't believe in the slightest that this guy is genuine.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Going back to Sashara.
Speaker: Yes, you're going to kind of unlock this chain.
Speaker: Pretty easily, you're getting the hang of these locks.
Speaker: They all seem to be kind of similar, so you kind of pop that one open.
Speaker: At nat 20.
Speaker: What are you going to do at this point?
Speaker: I just want to like lift open the trap door and just kind of peek inside and see what I see.
Speaker: Not going down in it, but just like looking down inside.
Speaker: This kind of opens up into, it seems like a basement area.
Speaker: I'm going to shoot a message to Therabon and tell him that I just found a super sketchy trap door and I don't want to go down there.
Speaker: by myself just in case I need some back.
Speaker: Alright, I guess I'll go.
Speaker: Look Therabin, I know you don't necessarily like it, but I could use a little bit of assistance.
Speaker: Don't tell the human that.
Speaker: The other human.
Speaker: Just come on down here, we'll watch each other's backs.
Speaker: There shouldn't be any wolves, so you should be okay.
Speaker: Alright.
Speaker: As you kind of open this up to get you guys down, if Therabin doesn't have darkvision, are you gonna have to light a torch?
Speaker: I do have dark vision.
Speaker: Oh, you do?
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Go ahead and roll me some stealth checks as you start moving down these steps.
Speaker: Yeah, 22.
Speaker: I got a zero.
Speaker: Shit.
Speaker: And you fell down the stairs.
Speaker: Oh, well.
Speaker: It turns out he does not have dark vision.
Speaker: His ass is dumb.
Speaker: He's like, because he wants to be cool.
Speaker: He's like, yeah, yeah, I can see the dark too.
Speaker: I'm just as cool as you guys.
Speaker: I know what I'm doing.
Speaker: And he like just falls.
Speaker: Like he doesn't move down the steps, he just falls down it.
Speaker: The doctor said the operation was going to make me see the dark.
Speaker: Sashara is very, very upset that this is who he picked to come with him.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: With a minus one on that stealth.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: The chain that you pulled off of that trapdoor is going to get caught on Therabon's foot and it's just going to shh shh shh
Speaker: Donovic is going to take off running.
Speaker: Carthas is going to grab him and put a sword to his neck and hold him.
Speaker: Damn, I was going to intercept him.
Speaker: Please, please don't hurt him, please.
Speaker: He doesn't mean any ill will.
Speaker: He'll get better.
Speaker: Please don't hurt him.
Speaker: Yeah, by the way, as soon as this thing started yelling, Sashara has his rapier out and it's glowing purple.
Speaker: I'm going to move you over here, sir, on this other map.
Speaker: And anybody else who might want to go down here.
Speaker: Karthix is going to go ahead and pin him to the ground.
Speaker: And the whole time he's just like, don't hurt him!
Speaker: Don't hurt him!
Speaker: So you're going to see this is the undercroft of the church.
Speaker: It's got, you know, just rough stone walls.
Speaker: The floor is just like a damp clay and earth.
Speaker: And it's got these wooden pillars currently rotting and looks like they're just straining to hold up the church above it.
Speaker: And then you can see this gaunt shape in the darkness of the corner.
Speaker: Just slowly step towards your direction.
Speaker: It looks like it's a young man down there.
Speaker: I'm going to message whoever is here and just say in their head, do not move another step.
Speaker: Father?
Speaker: Is that you?
Speaker: Is that you, father?
Speaker: And it's just like, just tentatively step in your directions.
Speaker: I am not father.
Speaker: Do not step another.
Speaker: Hungry.
Speaker: I'm going to hold the shatter spell.
Speaker: If he takes a step forward, I'm casting it right at his feet.
Speaker: What is everybody else doing at this moment?
Speaker: Scar is just going to be like, little man, you got him.
Speaker: And then wait for a nod of approval or something and then he's gonna head off in that direction.
Speaker: Karthiks is just paying attention to the father.
Speaker: Speak holy man.
Speaker: It was supposed to be- It was supposed to be like this.
Speaker: He's my son.
Speaker: And I tried as long as I could.
Speaker: But she kept yelling.
Speaker: He was hungry.
Speaker: And he brought him back to me like this.
Speaker: What am I supposed to do?
Speaker: Just let him starve down there?
Speaker: Less riddles.
Speaker: I need answers.
Speaker: What is in the basement?
Speaker: My son is in the basement.
Speaker: Let's just do some initiative rolls.
Speaker: It might just make things a little bit less messy.
Speaker: Oh, shit's gonna get messy.
Speaker: At this point, it might.
Speaker: We'll see.
Speaker: That's a 13 for initiative.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: 22, Fuska.
Speaker: 14.
Speaker: I gotta bring up the priest's man.
Speaker: Nine.
Speaker: Alright, that's okay.
Speaker: Save, of course, roll low.
Speaker: So let's just go by initiatives right now.
Speaker: Scar, you're just kind of holding him back, or are you kind of moving towards him?
Speaker: No, I should be.
Speaker: I got Darvish in, so I should be able to see.
Speaker: I can see what he is, right?
Speaker: He's in tattered kind of clothing.
Speaker: He's a little gaunt, very pale, and just kind of hunched over.
Speaker: But he's looking at you, and his eyes are glowing in the dark, this kind of yellowish light.
Speaker: You don't smell like an air breather.
Speaker: You smell like a bloodsucker.
Speaker: Should I send you to that god you so pray to?
Speaker: Is Sashara doing anything at this point?
Speaker: As Scar starts to move closer to this guy.
Speaker: So as soon as Scar said you smell like a bloodsucker, Sashara's eyes started to kind of glow a little bit.
Speaker: And he tightens his grip on his rapier.
Speaker: He pulls this little piece of mica out of his pocket and is holding it in his hand.
Speaker: And he yells to the man over there, I am begging you to take one step forward so I can blast you against that wall.
Speaker: And that's it.
Speaker: And I'm holding Shatter.
Speaker: Karthik, is you doing anything?
Speaker: I want to cut off his leg and make him stay here.
Speaker: So...
Speaker: Oh, I love it.
Speaker: I love it.
Speaker: You will have Cishara's respect at that point.
Speaker: I mean, if you want to make an attack at him, go ahead.
Speaker: I mean, he'll be flat-footed and everything, so go ahead and make an attack.
Speaker: 13 plus... Oh, just a 13.
Speaker: Definitely going to connect with... Do I roll damage?
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Four slashing.
Speaker: Probably not cut clean through his leg, but you are going to fuck his leg up.
Speaker: And he's just going to howl in pain.
Speaker: Again, try to squirm away, but he's definitely injured at this point.
Speaker: Well, that sucks.
Speaker: Nothing makes you feel more stupid.
Speaker: Well, I mean, if your goal was to cripple him, it would be... Yes, yes.
Speaker: He's not going to be walking on that leg.
Speaker: Well, I was happy.
Speaker: I was trying to roll low on damage because I was like, well, I don't want to kill him.
Speaker: He's, you know, just a regular person, no armor, nothing like that.
Speaker: I don't want to kill him in the whole thing, but at least cut off his leg or he couldn't walk.
Speaker: He's feeding innocence to a vampire.
Speaker: I don't know if it's a vampire.
Speaker: Oh, Sashara is 100% killing him when this is done.
Speaker: I don't want to kill him.
Speaker: I need him.
Speaker: I just pictured that thing that when you stabbed him, they're like, I can play Fallout and it's like, Sashara like that.
Speaker: Absolutely.
Speaker: Which the bad part is, is that I don't need, like, Sashara doesn't know any of this.
Speaker: All he knows is that this thing is tied up downstairs or is like locked downstairs.
Speaker: And is a vampire.
Speaker: And the father is automatically guilty.
Speaker: And so he's going to die.
Speaker: Can we say that he just hit him close enough that he's not going to walk, but he's not going to bleed out?
Speaker: Oh, at this point.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: He doesn't look like it's a mortal wound, but it's enough.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So I could just like stab through his leg and be done with it.
Speaker: Yeah, it looks like you probably didn't hit, you know, like, it's not like he's splurting blood everywhere.
Speaker: It's not that bad.
Speaker: Okay, so he's not going to die if I leave him here.
Speaker: It doesn't look like that, no.
Speaker: That's all I wanted.
Speaker: I didn't want to chop the boat, like, completely off to where he's, you know, just pouring blood.
Speaker: Bring him down here, feed him to his son.
Speaker: That's more of what I was thinking, is now he can't run from me or put up a fight.
Speaker: Do you want to do any movement on your turn, or are you pretty much done?
Speaker: I'm going to get up from the ground and kind of bring him up with me.
Speaker: Therabon, would you like to do anything?
Speaker: I want to look around the room and see if I see any of the bodies he was feeding on.
Speaker: Looks like this room is almost completely bare.
Speaker: There are no bodies down here.
Speaker: I'm going to take a sip from my flask and pass my turn.
Speaker: He's looking at everybody who's down here, but he's going to become very fixed on Therabint, if anything.
Speaker: And then he's going to kind of have this growl hit his voice, and he is going to take off.
Speaker: So Shara, you can go ahead and do your spell.
Speaker: Well, shit, my mic was muted that whole damn time.
Speaker: Okay, so yes.
Speaker: So yeah, 11 damage.
Speaker: Cool.
Speaker: So he's going to get hit.
Speaker: He's in a frenzy.
Speaker: It's like not even going to phase him.
Speaker: He's going to run up this wall.
Speaker: So let's go ahead and have him finish off his movement over here next to Therabin.
Speaker: He's just going to kind of almost run around and go straight for Therabin and stop there.
Speaker: Donovic is...
Speaker: As he's hearing that explosion down there, he's going to try to wrench free of Karthik's.
Speaker: I'm going to give him a strength check, but he's going to have disadvantage.
Speaker: Do I roll a post?
Speaker: Yeah, I'll have you roll a post to it.
Speaker: So let's give him, he's got a zero there.
Speaker: So he'll have a 15 on that.
Speaker: And I will strength check him with a 23.
Speaker: You can feel some power behind him, and he almost pulls free, but you can kind of hold him in place.
Speaker: And that's pretty much all that he can do.
Speaker: Scar seeing him try to bypass him really pisses him off.
Speaker: And he's like, your battle's with me!
Speaker: And he starts to gain muscle from what it looks like.
Speaker: And his fingers start to grow.
Speaker: And he gets those sharp claws.
Speaker: And he runs over here.
Speaker: And is he up on the ceiling?
Speaker: He'd be on the ground.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: And he's going to come to this side.
Speaker: And I will claw...
Speaker: Oh wait, and then they're both plus two.
Speaker: Both of those are hits.
Speaker: So that's six damage and seven damage, so 13 damage.
Speaker: You can see, and you know how these work.
Speaker: His skin does kind of regenerate a little bit as you're tearing into his flesh.
Speaker: Sashara.
Speaker: Okay, so Sashara is going to run over here.
Speaker: It's 20 feet of my movement.
Speaker: He is going to swing with his rapier, try to stab out, just pierce this thing.
Speaker: 24.
Speaker: That's a hit.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So I'm going to be using psychic blades on this as well.
Speaker: So that's five piercing as well as an additional puck two psychic damage for seven.
Speaker: And then I'm going to kind of put my hand on Therabon.
Speaker: You've got this.
Speaker: And give him a bardic inspiration die.
Speaker: So that's a D6 on your next attack, saving throw, or ability check.
Speaker: Karthik's... What are you going to do with Donovich here?
Speaker: Karthik's standing up, brought him up with him, and is going to kind of push him into the pew and take off for downstairs.
Speaker: Okay, so you just kind of push him down, and then you're going to run.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Yeah, I'm going to put him in, like, kind of push him onto the pew.
Speaker: So it don't have to be nice or anything like that, but that way...
Speaker: He's up off the floor, but he's in a pew because I know he's not going anywhere.
Speaker: Yeah, go for it.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: And then he's going to go ahead and make his move.
Speaker: Do I know where they entered in downstairs?
Speaker: You're going to see the open doors.
Speaker: At least reach the trap door and you can hear the fighting from down there because the trap door is wide open.
Speaker: Is that it?
Speaker: That's all your movement you got?
Speaker: Oh, I think so.
Speaker: So I'm going to put you up into this area, at least at the top of the stairs.
Speaker: Therabon, you're going to be next.
Speaker: I was trying not to get you killed this episode.
Speaker: Yeah, well, we'll see.
Speaker: I am just going to go ahead and cast a firebolt.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: I want to step backwards.
Speaker: Firebolt, not fireball.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Speaker: He'll be fine.
Speaker: Firebolt.
Speaker: Ah, go for the fireball.
Speaker: If I had it.
Speaker: Boom.
Speaker: Everybody takes damage.
Speaker: Didn't ask how big the room is.
Speaker: I said I cast fireball.
Speaker: Because he's really fixated on you, he's going to kind of dodge this firebolt and it is not going to hit him.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: I am going to take an additional action to move backwards.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Since you did not withdraw, you're going to get a free hit on you.
Speaker: Are you okay with that?
Speaker: Yeah, why not?
Speaker: So Doru is going to swipe at you with his claws.
Speaker: Be an eight.
Speaker: So I think he's gonna miss you.
Speaker: Next, it is going to be Doru.
Speaker: Of course, in his frenzy, he is going to move forward so both Sashara and Scar can get a hit.
Speaker: I get two because I get to hit twice with my claws.
Speaker: Nat 20, baby!
Speaker: With... With... You get two attacks with the reaction.
Speaker: I think you only still get one.
Speaker: I don't get one.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Oh, then I'll still... Nat 20.
Speaker: Yeah, you still get that crit, though.
Speaker: 22 to hit and 19 damage.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Those are going to hit.
Speaker: So, 19 damage.
Speaker: And how much damage do you do, Trevor, with your crit?
Speaker: Are we doing... It's max damage?
Speaker: Max damage plus a roll.
Speaker: Okay, so max damage would be 11.
Speaker: Right now, it's fine.
Speaker: It'd be 9.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: Yeah, he's going to be hurt a little bit.
Speaker: And I can actually kind of show.
Speaker: Oh, yeah.
Speaker: I'm going to show you guys a little bit.
Speaker: I'm not going to tell you how much health he's got, but I can actually let you see.
Speaker: Peek behind the curtain.
Speaker: You can kind of see.
Speaker: I let you guys see at least the health bar because that lets you know about.
Speaker: Like, how about how hard he is?
Speaker: He's got a lot of fight in him.
Speaker: This guy is just going through.
Speaker: 19 times 2, and he's still trucking.
Speaker: Where are we at?
Speaker: Okay, yeah, so he is going to go.
Speaker: He is going to make another claw attack to Therabon, this time getting a 17.
Speaker: Is that going to be a hit?
Speaker: What do I hit again?
Speaker: Where is it?
Speaker: It's your AC.
Speaker: That's nine.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: I feel like I'm beating up on Therabin a lot, but with Sara being undead, Scar being pretty much undead.
Speaker: I'm the only human around right now.
Speaker: Yeah, yeah.
Speaker: Maybe when Karthix gets some of his attention, but he, so he's going to hit you.
Speaker: He's going to deal 14 damage to you with that claw.
Speaker: It is just going to rake into you, dropping you down to three health.
Speaker: I next need you to make, I believe it's a strength check.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: We got an air one.
Speaker: So he goes and he claws you and at the same time he's grabbing you and he pulls you in.
Speaker: Wait, it says instead of doing damage.
Speaker: Oh, instead of dealing damage.
Speaker: Okay, so I'm not going to do the damage then.
Speaker: I'm sorry.
Speaker: Thank you guys for catching that.
Speaker: So he's going to be at full health.
Speaker: Thank you for catching that.
Speaker: So instead of slashing, he's going to pull Therabon in, and he's going to try to get a good bite out of him.
Speaker: Here we go.
Speaker: So that's going to hit.
Speaker: You're going to take this time 10 damage.
Speaker: So that's actually less, but you can see Doru almost getting stronger as he just starts sucking at his throat.
Speaker: Donovic is going to be next.
Speaker: I'm going to kind of move him a little bit because he can kind of hobble around.
Speaker: No!
Speaker: That's kind of what he's doing.
Speaker: Scar, you're next.
Speaker: Scar's going to be on.
Speaker: You can't escape me.
Speaker: Die, bloodsucker.
Speaker: It'd be 18.
Speaker: 18 damage altogether?
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Sashara.
Speaker: Sashara's pissed.
Speaker: Well, I guess we are going to try to swing that rapier.
Speaker: It's a 21 to hit.
Speaker: That's a hit.
Speaker: Again, it's psychic blades.
Speaker: So that's seven.
Speaker: Ooh, plus 12. 12.
Speaker: So we got 19 hit on that.
Speaker: And then Sarshtar's going to yell out to Karthix, kill this thing, and give him a bardic inspiration die.
Speaker: So a d6 on the next attack, ability check or saving throw.
Speaker: Karthix?
Speaker: I could tell that this is kind of a vampire, right?
Speaker: Mm-hmm.
Speaker: Okay, so Karthix is actually going to pull his second sword that he carries, which is made out of silver.
Speaker: And he's going to use that to hit him with it.
Speaker: I don't know.
Speaker: That's a crit!
Speaker: That'll be a 25 with a natural 20.
Speaker: And he will do... It's a 2d6 plus 3.
Speaker: So it'll be 12 for max damage.
Speaker: So 27.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: You have not killed him yet.
Speaker: I'm over here handing out bardic inspiration.
Speaker: No one's using him.
Speaker: I'm going to go ahead and use my action surge.
Speaker: And I'm going to go ahead and stab him again.
Speaker: Oh shit!
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: 18.
Speaker: That's a hit.
Speaker: For 6.
Speaker: Therabin!
Speaker: He's got a hold of you and he's draining your neck, but what would you like to do?
Speaker: I'm gonna cast Vampiric Touch.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Yes!
Speaker: 17.
Speaker: Bloodsucker sucking bloodsucker!
Speaker: Oh, shit.
Speaker: Oh, shit.
Speaker: Alright, so that will hit.
Speaker: Nine necrotic.
Speaker: He still won't die though.
Speaker: I regain... Yeah, I get to regain... Five.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Five.
Speaker: There we go.
Speaker: Therabin's like, how's it feel, bitch?
Speaker: Yeah!
Speaker: Asshole!
Speaker: I should say it's actually not five though.
Speaker: Oh shit.
Speaker: You only got three.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Three.
Speaker: This thing seems to resist it somewhat.
Speaker: So Doru is going to fling Therabon away and it is going to do a withdraw action and it is going to run up the stairs.
Speaker: So there's 20 feet to go up the stairs.
Speaker: It's gonna make it through.
Speaker: That would be here, and then another 10 feet here.
Speaker: It's Donovic's turn.
Speaker: Oh boy, this is gonna be interesting.
Speaker: You're just gonna kind of hear it scramble upstairs.
Speaker: And that's gonna be about it.
Speaker: So Scar.
Speaker: Uh, Scar's gonna follow.
Speaker: Get back here, you piece of shit!
Speaker: You can still attack him.
Speaker: You can still hit him.
Speaker: That's only like 25 movement to get next to him.
Speaker: Damn right.
Speaker: I think you're one of those hit.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Just one of them.
Speaker: Just one.
Speaker: He takes nine damage.
Speaker: Nine damage.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: It's still alive.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: So beginning of my turn, I'm going to use my bonus action to cast kinetic jaunt on myself.
Speaker: So my walking speed increases by 10 and I don't provoke opportunity attacks and I can move through the space of another creature and it doesn't count as a golden rain.
Speaker: Nice.
Speaker: So I'm going to take 25 feet to get to the top of the stairs here, which will put me in the track door.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: I'll get you over there.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Get right to the track door for 25.
Speaker: So then that's 35 to get, or no, wait, that's 30.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: To get me right up close.
Speaker: So you can still make an attack.
Speaker: We're going to.
Speaker: you slice and dice.
Speaker: Oh, and so I'm going to use my other 10 feet of movement or five of it to just back away from him a little bit and give someone else a chance.
Speaker: Might as well use that with not getting attack ability.
Speaker: Yep.
Speaker: Pretty much.
Speaker: Because I thought I was going to need more movement to get up to him, but I didn't.
Speaker: You've just barely got him, so I can understand it.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Great.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: So, yep.
Speaker: And then I'm going to give Scar a Bardic Inspiration deck.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: Everybody's a Bardic Inspiration for you.
Speaker: Bardic Inspiration for you.
Speaker: I'm going to hand him out like candy.
Speaker: How long do we have him?
Speaker: Ten minutes.
Speaker: Or until you use it.
Speaker: Oh, okay.
Speaker: So we can still use it now.
Speaker: Garth thinks you run up the steps.
Speaker: I'm running up the steps.
Speaker: It's out the door.
Speaker: So 20 feet to get to the top.
Speaker: I'll get you over here.
Speaker: So you got 10 more feet of movement.
Speaker: 510.
Speaker: That puts me right next to him.
Speaker: And I'm going to go ahead with my sword again.
Speaker: And that's an 8.
Speaker: Oh, man.
Speaker: This guy is nimble.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: You could.
Speaker: I don't think BI is going to work, but...
Speaker: What is it?
Speaker: 14 missed earlier.
Speaker: Oh yeah, never mind.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Cause you can get it.
Speaker: Even if you get a six, you're not going to get it.
Speaker: Oh, shit.
Speaker: Just meta like a motherfucker, but.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Well, well, how much is it?
Speaker: A d4, d6?
Speaker: It's a d6.
Speaker: So the max will be able to get us a 14 and that missed earlier.
Speaker: So is it eight plus two or is that what's your, oh, that's what's your archery.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Gotcha.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: That's all I can do.
Speaker: There, Ben, what would you like to do?
Speaker: I'm going to run up the stairs, try to get out of here.
Speaker: It's about 30 to get here.
Speaker: Well, you have rearranged if you'd like to do an arranged attack on them.
Speaker: Yeah, go for it.
Speaker: All right.
Speaker: Is there any glass around me by chance?
Speaker: I would say no.
Speaker: Probably no glass.
Speaker: I mean, this room has got a lot of like wood pieces and shingles and there's some water about, but there's no windows in this room.
Speaker: All right, I'm gonna cast chill touch that is a nat 20 That is a hit.
Speaker: Okay, go ahead and deal some damage.
Speaker: All right So eight plus Six is that right looking at that right?
Speaker: Yes, so a total of 14 damn.
Speaker: Yes This thing had
Speaker: 13 life left and it takes full damage for magic attack.
Speaker: So as you come in, you're going to blast this cold and you're going to see him just almost kind of shrivel up as you're, it's almost like a flamethrower, but cold.
Speaker: And he is just going to fall right before his father and his father's just going to scream out in agony as his, as his son just falls and stops moving.
Speaker: So that is where we'll take you out of combat.
Speaker: Oh, I don't want to be out of combat.
Speaker: We're not out of combat.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Okay.
Speaker: Well, his father's up.
Speaker: He's basically just going to just cry out and he's just going to go over his son and he's just going to weep over him.
Speaker: Oh, that's fine.
Speaker: Attacks have advantage now.
Speaker: Before anybody attacks.
Speaker: Before anybody attacks.
Speaker: We're gonna grab him because we do know that we saw him dragging a person there, so now... So are you taking your free action to try to convince Scar to grab him?
Speaker: We need to find out if it is Colin that he took.
Speaker: I mean...
Speaker: The bodies are probably out in the graveyard.
Speaker: He definitely took them.
Speaker: Like, is that the consensus?
Speaker: Let's kill him and let the Mourning Lord sort it out.
Speaker: Yeah.
Speaker: Alright.
Speaker: Scar wants to, uh, is he on top of his son's body?
Speaker: Yeah, he's covering his body and he's just weeping over him.
Speaker: Almost like looking at him like, come on, just wake up, wake up type of thing.
Speaker: So Scar's gonna look down on him and he's gonna put his foot on the back of this dude and he's gonna be all like,
Speaker: If you wanted to be a father, you should have put him to rest.
Speaker: And I'm going to claw him in the bag twice.
Speaker: Yeah, that's, you don't even have to make rolls.
Speaker: I mean, he's not even going to resist.
Speaker: Just full damage.
Speaker: You'll put him down.
Speaker: You know, I wanted him to be like just grabbing his son's leg so I could lift his summon up and smash him with it.
Speaker: But you were like, no, he's laying on top of him.
Speaker: I'm like, damn it.
Speaker: So Shara is just going to like stab through both of their heads and just double tap, just double tap, just to make sure it's... Scar nods and approve.
Speaker: Actually, it would have been very... I'm going to spoil it.
Speaker: I was going to have him attack his father.
Speaker: It's just going to be kind of fitting for it a little bit as he saw his father bleeding on the ground.
Speaker: But I think this worked out well too.
Speaker: The dungeon made me do it is Trevor playing the role of Scar, Jennifer as the lovely Victoria, Kyle playing Shara Storm,
Speaker: Joshua, our DM, Bill in the role of Therodon Deathseeker, and I, myself, Jorge, play Carthix King.
Speaker: We are a new podcast group, so if you like us, check us out on our socials and leave us a comment.
Speaker: Our Twitter is TheDungeonMMDI, and check out our subreddit at TheDungeonMakeMeDoIt.
Speaker: Okay, and so while he's over... Got him!
Speaker: Gotcha, bitch!
Speaker: Fucking star babe just comes right at the window.
Speaker: Full disclosure, Scarwen's in the church.
Speaker: You're making this so complicated.
Speaker: Karthik's just regretting this.
Speaker: Right, as I was going to say, it's not too late to go get that potion.
Speaker: He's like, you know what, you guys should know.
Speaker: He tried to kill Wolf.
Speaker: Son of a bitch.
Speaker: So, I'm not sure if we're joking here.
Speaker: Are we actually burning this place down?
Speaker: We are not burning it.
Speaker: I don't think that's a good idea.
Speaker: Kyle does not think that's a good idea.
Speaker: Shara doesn't give a fuck, but Kyle doesn't think that's a good idea.
